Luke 11

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Give us day by day our daily bread.

And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?

And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.

16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.

20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.

28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.

38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.

39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.

46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.

49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

  1. The Pharisee noticed this and was surprised that Jesus did not first ceremonially wash before the meal. But the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and plate [as required by tradition]; but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You foolish ones [acting without reflection or intelligence]! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also? But give that which is within as charity [that is, acts of mercy and compassion, not as a public display, but as an expression of your faithfulness to God], and then indeed all things are clean for you.
    LUKE 11:38‭-‬41 AMP

The Pharisees thought outward cleansing could bring inward holiness. Jesus, however, judged holiness by one’s attitude, love, and compassion for his fellow man. He accused the religious leaders of greed and wickedness. These sins were often manifested in one’s treatment of others: defrauding, manipulating, and taking advantage of people for personal gain or enjoyment.

Much of the church world today is being portrayed as those who prey on others to satisfy their own lust of the flesh, lust for financial gain, or lust for power and applause. Christianity has this image because many priests and preachers have been exposed by their incriminating actions with just such motives. They were all dressed up and “holy” on the outside, but inside they loved only themselves and the pleasures of this world.

If we are going to convince those around us that we speak the truth, we must learn to live holiness from the inside out. We cannot say we love God while ignoring or taking advantage of others. Those with true holiness have a sacrificial and compassionate love for their fellow man.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
    John 13:35 KJV

  2. Verses 8-10 AMP “I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything just because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence and boldness he will get up and give him whatever he needs. “So I say to you, ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who [h]keeps on asking [persistently], receives; and he who keeps on seeking [persistently], finds; and to him who keeps on knocking [persistently], the door will be opened.” Never stop asking, never stop claiming and declaring your victory.

  3. The eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive, focused on God], your whole body also is full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts]. But when it is bad [spiritually blind], your body also is full of darkness [devoid of God’s word]. Be careful, therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness. So if your whole body is illuminated, with no dark part, it will be entirely bright [with light], as when the lamp gives you light with its bright rays.”
    LUKE 11:34‭-‬36 AMP

  4. 9 So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

  5. 53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:

54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

They say the truth hurts but I say the truth angers!!!! People will ask questions and if you tell them the pure unadulterated truth they get mad. I lost some friendships because I thought our friendship was strong enough for me to share THE TRUTH ONE GOD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM.

In this cas the Pharisees were looking to kill Jesus for what He said. He took their holier than thou mask right off and they were exposed for everyinento see.

Lord help us understand your wisdom, teach us that we need to keep our soul clean of sin and our bodies also, not just look the part but walk by your word. In Jesus Name we pray Amen

  6. 9,
Is teaches that we should not grow weary or discouraged in our prayer life keep on asking ,keep on seeking keep on knocking.
Sometimes God answer our prayers the first time we ask. But in other cases He answers only after prolonged asking.

    52,54
The scribes and the Pharisees were obviously angered by the Lord”s straight forward accusations. They began to assail Him vehemently, and stepped up their effort to trap Him in words. By every possible device something for which they could condemn Him to death in doing so, they only proved how accurately He had read their characters.

  7. 33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

  8. 11:53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharasiees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things.
    ——-
… to speak of many things, yes! Many things that are true
Bad for them because they are listening to nothing but the truth, yet knowing it still refuse to deny it and still accuse him.

  9. Luke34-35 (English Amp) Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye ( your conscience) is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; But when it is not sound and is not fulfilling its office, your is not darkness. [35] Be careful , therefore, that the light that is in you is not darkness. If then your entire body is illuminated, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright [ with light] , as when a lamp with its bright rays gives you light. The Lord gives us wisdom how to keep ourselves clean from sin. Keep your eyes on his word. Be submissive and obeintent to him.

  10. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

  11. We often hear of the necessity of asking God for our needs. This was even stated by Jesus himself. ‘And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.’ God expects his children to ask!

It may seem strange to the new believer that we would need to ask an all knowing God to meet our needs. He is omniscient and clearly knows the situation better than ourselves, yet we are still asked to make our requests known unto the Lord. The act of asking however, is not for God’s benefit, but for our own.

It is the asking that demonstrates our faith. The world sits back and says ‘if’ there is a God, then he would know and do. We ‘know’ there is a God and come before him in faith believing that we will receive from a loving God, as we ask ‘if’ it is God’s will. His existence is not in question, it is our understanding of his will that is opened in prayer.

The act of asking also places us in submission to his will rather than our own. It is never about ourselves and our desires. We don’t want to run amiss in our desires, so we take those unto the Lord and allow him to direct our paths. We know that he knows what is best for us and we willingly submit ourselves unto his will, believing in faith that his desire is truly the best we can achieve. In Jesus name!

  12. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

    One day at a time……….
Sometimes we get impatient and want it all right now, or we want GOD to move mountains right now, but what if HE does, will you be anointed? Is there any crushing (anointing) if HE would come and “save the day” would there be anointing, maybe, I don’t know, but what I do know is that if there isn’t crushing there isn’t anointing, if there aren’t trials, there isn’t anointing, if we’re not crying out, then maybe something else is missing…..most of the time it takes one day at a time……..ON OUR FACE, ON OUR KNEES!!! IF OUR HEART ISN’T IN THIS POSITION WE AS SERVANTS OF THE MOST HIGH ARE MISSING OUT OF THE SERVANT PART……….therefore making us servants of our selves…….

  13. Luke 11

We must teach and live from the inside out. If we truly believe the Word the teachings then it will not matter where we are who we are with. Whether any one sees or not sees you we ;will live Christ like.
You can portray a whole lot in the public but your true intentions your true self us behind closed doors. Your true self will reflect in attitude and your true intentions for the Kingdom of God. There is a difference . Who wants to drink from a cup that is dirty on the inside though it appears do beautiful on the outside . Lord cleanse us from the inside out allow us to reflect your glory. In Jesus name.

  14. Jesus was talking about the Holy Ghost, and how it is a gift and we have to revive it. Then one of the company ask Jesus to speak to his brother. Jesus responded in a prarebale . We can not be afraid to go to Jesus we might be thinking of one person to save but Jesus maight want someone else to be said. Jesus always has his reasons, so we should never question them. Jesus was telling his people what was going to happen and what to be looking for.

  15. 33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

What we do and our actions subconsciously reveals what’s going on inside of us. The outer part of our Lives is reflected highly on the inner workings of what’s inside of us. If Christ has the Dominion over our actions like we claim then it’s going to show in our actions. We live in a world today and wants to judge others by actions but judge their own by intentions, this is why it’s so important that we remain full of the Holy Ghost everyday and every waking moment we are praying that God shed light into our darkness and that our actions reflect his life or so they are out.

  16. And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
    Luke 11:9‭-‬13 KJV
GOD tell us here what ever we ask will be giving all we have to do is ask.
This also so us how powerful our come tongue

  17. iLove the Kingdom
35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

Meditating on these scriptures this morning make me realize there needs to be a whole lot more light in this temple of mine. How do we add more light? We add more Jesus. The more light we have requires more fuel flow. We need more oil in our lamps so that we can be a bright and shining light in this dark world. So this morning I wrote on a notepad the negative things I have allowed into the temple of the Holy Ghost and I’m about to lay that notepad on the altar and allow the light to destroy them. Amen!

  18. 16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.

  19. Abraham Lincoln once said; “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side, my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”

23 “This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you’re not on my side, you’re the enemy; if you’re not helping, you’re making things worse.

In the normal course of life we can sometimes get so distracted, overwhelmed and focused on what we are doing and life is bringing us that we can forget to determine if God is in it. The theme this year has been His Kingdom and His Kingdom first. I believe the number of Holy Ghost and baptisms this year speak for themselves. When we seek FIRST the Kingdom of God; He will bless our efforts and take care of the rest. How wonderful it would be to live our daily lives with this same philosophy; to live for His Kingdom first.

  20. Luke 11

  21. THY KINGDOM COME
    WHY NOT PRAY FIRST

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

We are deceived if we confess to be one who will “Seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD” but do not PRAY prior to decisions. JESUS shares this parable of family love that we can all relate to of how a Father desires to give gifts to HIS own children.

Understanding the LOVE of GOD or the LOVE GOD has for us is important to our relationship to and with HIM. If we will ask, seek and knock then JESUS will open. I wonder how many miracles lay in wait for us to ask for them. Lets PRAY!

Another curious question to me is the fact that JESUS said that HE will give the HOLY SPIRIT to those who ask HIM. JESUS presents the HOLY SPIRIT as an answer to all needs. Teaching us that FIRST we should all ask for the HOLY GHOST and be Filled with the HOLY GHOST.

Luke 11:13 is eternal evidence that we should ask for and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

WHY NOT PRAY FIRST and be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT before making any decisions or choices affecting our life.

  22. 9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

    Just Ask!

  23. 8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

importunity – persistence, especially to the point of annoyance, persistent in solicitation.

The disciples were inquiring of the Lord how to pray and after sharing how they ought to pray He shares a parable about responding to persistence. 1) God will respond to our persistence in seeking Him for needs/desires. 2) We must take advantage when opportunities arise to pray for those we share the gospel with, so that they can know Jesus in Holy Ghost, Baptism and relationship. Persistence takes discipline and is not always easy because sometimes we grow weary but we must not grow weary in well doing but continue to press for great victories that can only be won through prayer.

  24. 33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

This scripture made me stop and think about what is in my house. What do others see when they come in my home. Can they tell I am a Christian or do they see the things of the world? I want the peace of God to be felt when entering in. I want a my home to reflect a reverence for Him in our actions and speech. If my light doesn’t shine in my own home, where will it shine? It has to be in me to be wherever I go.

  25. 33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

So I know it’s not Thursday but this verse made me throwback as I read it. There was a kids song we used to sing that said, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.” And if we have Jesus, we have the light in us, we just have to clear out any unrighteousness and any self so that the light can shine bright.

The next verse said, “Hide it under a bushel – oh no! I’m gonna let it shine.” We cannot and should not be ashamed to proclaim the name of Jesus or His gospel. Don’t hide your faith, use it! People are looking for a way out of their hopelessness, their failures, etc. and we have the light that will guide them to Jesus! Letting your light go out not only hurts you, but robs the opportunity of every soul around you to see the light of Jesus and be saved.

And finally the last verse said, “Don’t let satan *blow* it out. I’m gonna let it shine!” Man, the enemy sure is gonna try to creep in with darkness to put our light out, but no no no. Greater is He that is in me! I remember before, even just in the few years past, that we would become radically angry with the devil and stomp all over him not allowing him any place even near our lives. I don’t what happened to it, but I sure revived it for myself yesterday so I got excited about this verse because the devil needs to be reminded of his place: under my feet!

Let your light shine today in Jesus Name!!

  26. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

There is temptation all around us. If we are not careful we could fall subject to those same unclean spirits that tempted us before. Each time, they come back stronger and more wicked then before. So all ways stay prayed up and all ways heed God’s word. Keep God first because he never fails.

Lord Jesus keep your people safe and guarded against the temptations of this world. Keep them in your light and cast out any evil thing that try to get in. Blessed are those who hear your word and keep it and Blessed are those who walk as you do. Help us to seek you first in every decision and all situations. Praise God and every thing he does for us!!! Amen!!!

  27. 1 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

Alot of times we think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, The enemy of our soul is so talented at painting pictures and thats all they are is pictures, we might only struggle with a couple things but when we leave from under the protection of the Almighty savior of our souls, we are inviting more issues in our life so the one or two things that we are struggling with turn in to nine more things. Help me Lord to stay planted and rooted in the place that you have me. Help me fall in love with your word again, help it not be what I have to do but what I want to! Help me to FALL BACK IN LOVE WITH YOU! Thank you Jesus,

  28. As Jesus was speaking, one of the pharisees invited him home for a meal. So he went in and took his place at the table. His host was amazed to see that he sat down to eat without firt performing the hand-washing ceremony required by Jewish custom. Then the Lord said to him, ” you pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filty- full of greed and wickedness! fools! didn’t God make the inside as well as the outside?

  29. St. Luke 11:8-10 (amp)
    8) I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything just because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence and boldness he will get up and give him whatever he needs.
    9) So I say to you, ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
    10) For everyone who keeps on asking (persistently), receives; and he who keeps on seeking (persistently), finds; and to him who keeps on knocking (persistently), the door will be opened.

KEEP ON Asking, KEEP ON Seeking, and KEEP ON Knocking, and GOD WILL ANSWER!

  30. 28 Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” NLT

Many of the kids today will not experience the ultimate feeling of success, from calling a radio station, requesting a song, and catching the song on your tape recorder!

However, we are all privileged to hear the Word of God. We are all given the opportunity, to take and record the Word of God in our hearts, and there is no greater success or joy from knowing and applying the Word of God in our lives!

    Luke 11:2‭-‬4 KJV
Please note: OUR Father, Give US, Forgive US, Lead US are all part of this prayer. God wants us to realize we are part of His family and when we pray it’s not just about us it’s about all of US!!!

  32. 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Reading this I could not help myself to think, he is just really wanting for people to just ask him for it. He is so ready to pour out of his love. Just ask me he might say. But we must take the step of faith in action and “say” or speak in prayer asking him. I remember my prayer a while. Simple enough but I asked. “Lord of this is from you, I want to receive the what they call they Holy Ghost.” He wants us to ask him for our prayers and much more he wants us to ask him for the Holy Ghost.

  33. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

Whenever we clean our homes we don’t just move in, clean and organize it once, then never touch it again. No, we have an endless pile of laundry, trash bags to be taken out, never ending cycle of dishes, and beds to be made each morning. The same exists in the spiritual realm. If we get baptized and never receive the Holy Ghost to fill us, and dwell within us, and purge/repent/cleanse us of sin we invite the enemy to dwell in the void. When the man mentioned here was cleansed of the wicked spirit he became an open vessel. If a person is not filled with the Holy Ghost, they are open vessels, vulnerable to spiritual attack, and being overtaken. This is were the “strong man” comes in to play. If a strong man protects his house by keeping it clean of wickedness, then evil spirits cannot enter in. If the strong man is enticed to sin, then he can be overtaken. If we do not stand for God then we will fall to the enemy. This is why we must keep our armor of God on, and be ready for the wiles of the enemy.

  34. 23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

Harsh Words but so true….if we are not with Him we are against Him. Do we walk with Him? Obey Him? Listen to Him? Do we acknowledge Him? Do we do what He tells us to do?
Its very easy to do what He tells us when we like it but what about all the things that require sacrifice, time, talent, treasure, money, effort, passion??? That is when He realizes if were on His side or against Him!!!! Lord help me to never leave your presence. I never want to walk alone or do anything alone Jesus!! I need you daily!!!

  35. 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

The certain place. I like to say it was a certain place and time that he prayed. We should have a daily time of prayer everyday set a side for God. To talk to him and he talks to us.
When I am open and listening to him then he can lead and teach me the things that he wants and likes.
Everyday at lunch I call my wife to talk to her she knows at lunch I’m going to call no matter what and she is ready to answer and talk. I like to think God is the same way every day at this time my child is going to be calling on my so I’m going to go ahead and go to our meeting place so we can take.
Have a certain place and time for God I’m your daily life.

  36. “He knew their thoughts, so he said, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A family splintered by feuding will fall apart.”(‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Jesus knows all things and every though we have. Each word we speak comes from our hearts. The Pharisees are into following traditions. They are more concerned with their outward appearances when God is more concerned with their spiritual heart.

  37. “The queen of Sheba will stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for she came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Now someone greater than Solomon is here—but you refuse to listen. The people of Nineveh will also stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for they repented of their sins at the preaching of Jonah. Now someone greater than Jonah is here—but you refuse to repent.
    Luke 11:31‭-‬32 NLT

Why does it take a big life altering sign for us to change? If God tells us in a whisper or simplest terms that something needs to change then we should have enough love, faith and respect to do what God has requested. Jesus, help us to bend to You, LORD. Amen

  38. I learned a demon possessed man couldn’t speak and when Jesus casted out the demons He could then the people started talking how does he get the power to cast out demons he probably gets the power by the prince of Satan then Jesus said how wouldThe devil fight the devil how their kingdom live

  39. I learned that as Jesus was leavening the teachers of religious law and Pharisees became hostile and tired to provoke him with many questions

  40. 4 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

The enemy wants to kill, steal and destroy. God has the power to do anything. No weapon held against us shall prosper.

  41. v 13 If te then, being evil, know how to give good gifts ubyi your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him ?

Today, anytime anyone believes in JESUS by repenting, being baptized in HIS GLORIOUS NANE, and receiving HIS Holy Spirit, the thought is that JESUS prayed for us in HIS final hour making HIS final requests for those HE loved so much….and that for those that love HIM back they immediately come under the intercessory prayer of JESUS.

LORD.. help us to continue to pray for our fellow- laborers not only about our own situations and needs.

  42. “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My light in my school the harvest fields is lit and everyone can see it from a distance! People in this world need to know what you are about and what you stand for in the kingdom of God!

  43. 9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

We tend to blame Godbut have we ASKED? We say can not be found but are really LOOKING? Do we knock not expecting a response?

It seems as if we are waiting on God but really God is waiting on us!

  44. And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

3 Give us day by day our daily bread.

4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Lord, teach us to pray,” is a good prayer, and a very needful one, for Jesus Christ only can teach us, by his word and Spirit, how to pray. Lord, teach me what it is to pray; Lord, stir up and quicken me to the duty; Lord, direct me what to pray for; teach me what I should say. Christ taught them a prayer, much the same that he had given before in his sermon upon the mount. There are some differences in the words of the Lord’s prayer in Matthew and in Luke, but they are of no moment. Let us in our requests, both for others and for ourselves, come to our heavenly Father, confiding in his power and goodness.

  45. 9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

The power in spoken words, I’m always cautious with what I say in prayer cause God will have these things come to pass.

    “Elihu spake moreover, and said,”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭35:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    “And Job spake, and said,”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And God spake unto Noah, saying,”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭8:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And all these occasions the word were spoken they were brought into existence. If you want something from God you’re gonna have to start SPEAKING things into existence. This is why we SPEAK Goshen over the congregation. This is why we tell each other were gonna be blessed, were gonna get raises on our jobs. We speak things into existence.
    Speak truth.

  46. 11“You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! 13 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”

Yes we continue to pray and ask God for our needs and wants. In time, God will answer our prayers. Just like our children asking parents, “Dad or Mom, I want this or that”. They may ask once, twice or as many times as needed. Eventually in your time, you’ll provide them with their wants or needs. So continue to pray for your needs, and God will deliver.
