John 14

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

  1. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me…

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words…

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings…
    John 14:15‭, ‬21‭-‬21‭, ‬23‭-‬24 KJV

This is still the same conversation from the previous chapter, Jesus’ final conversation at the Last Supper before He was crucified. As He is preparing them for their ministry without Him in the flesh, He reiterates to them the summation He earlier gave of the whole Law and Prophets: love God, and love others.

In this instance, He first spoke of loving others. We saw in the past chapter where He said that we will be KNOWN BY MEN as His disciples BY OUR LOVE for others. Moreover, He told us the way to demonstrate this love for others was to HUMBLY SERVE.

Now Jesus discusses loving God. Since He says virtually the same thing four times in a relatively short period of time, it seems apparent that we are supposed to get this point: we will be KNOWN BY THE FATHER as His disciples BY OUR LOVE for Jesus. Furthermore, the way to demonstrate this love for Jesus is to HUMBLY OBEY His words.

In short, Jesus made a point to emphasize that, as His disciples, we are to love and serve others as well as love and obey God. These words stand out, then, as HALLMARKS of DISCIPLESHIP: LOVE, SERVICE, OBEDIENCE, and HUMILITY (because you can’t sincerely do any of the other three without humility).

Jesus epitomized what He is asking us to do. Then, He shed abroad His love in our hearts by giving us the Holy Ghost. We now have the power to love, serve, and obey. We just need to humble our hearts so that we can actually do it.

  2. 12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

    Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    2 Kings 2:
    11. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

    13. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;

    14. And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

When Elijah went up to heaven, his mantle came down and Elisha activated it and used it to do many great works…
After Jesus went up into heaven, the Holy Ghost came down in the upper room and it has been available ever since for us to activate in our lives and do many great works.

  3. Verse 21 MSG “The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that’s who loves me. And the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and make myself plain to him.” Same verse AMP “The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].” Let the love of Jesus shine through you and not only know keep his commandments; but, keep them. Do not lose sight of your goal …..as verse 28 MSG says “You’ve heard me tell you, ‘I’m going away, and I’m coming back.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I’m on my way to the Father because the Father is the goal and purpose of my life.”

  4. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

If we love Him, we will keep His commandments. Loving Him means knowing Him and this all begins by believing on Him and believing in His mighty power (i.e. activating our faith). God already says right there, greater shall we do by Him, IF we have the faith to believe.

  5. 23 Jesus answered and said to him, if anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.He who does not love Me does not keep My words, and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

  6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him

This verse is the second verse i remembered as a child and despite every other thing in my life and the many things that have tried to remember, i have never forgotten this one verse. its simple, its the combination of oneness and part of the new birth. you cannot come to God unless its by the name of Jesus, and if you know Jesus then you know the Father. John later goes on to write about Jesus’ words to say that if you truly love God, you will keep the the words youve been told, which is simple as it gets, for the “just believing faith” who believe that no action is needed, this is the scripture that is telling us that if we truly love Him, then we will simply obey his teachings.

  7. ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  8. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”
    John 14:21 NLT

If we want God to reveal Himself to us, He has made it simple. Love Him, accept His commandments and obey them. To accept is to receive and believe. To obey is to submit to Him and His word and to love is to have devotion and deep adoration. These are the key ingredients for God to be revealed to us in our lives.

  9. John 14:25-26 (English Amp) I have told you these things while I am still with you. [26] But the Comforter ( Couselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate Strengthener , Standby) , the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [ in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf]. He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall ( will remind you of, bring to remember) every thing I have told you, Peace I leave with you. If you love Jesus with all thy heart, Just simply obey his teachings . Believe and Trust in and rely on him. I bless all families today in Jesus name above all names.

  10. We can do great works. When we follow God’s plan, we are able to do the impossible. Even when it seems there’s no way out, God knows how to make a way out of no way.

  11. John 14

  12. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  13. iLove the Kingdom

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

How do we glorify God? By doing great Works in the name of Jesus. Miracles, signs and wonders give God glory. The Lord gets the glory when he uses His people to do great things. God is great and wonderful, but it is up to us to ask and believe. God wants to do alot of things, but who will let Him use them?

  14. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

  15. St. John 14:16-18 & 26
    16) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
    17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
    18) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

    26) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The COMFORTER, which is the HOLY GHOST!

  16. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
    John 14:27 KJV
Jesus promised His disciples peace! In the midst of their uncertainty, doubt, and persecution, they could experience His true inner peace through the power of the Holy Ghost! ” Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer!”. We too can experience God’s peace in the midst of our storms, in uncertain and perilous times because we have the Prince of Peace living in us! Fear is an enemy of peace and so is stress. Jesus says, Let not your heart be troubled and be not afraid. We must receive His Word of peace to our situation to experience the peace of God which passes our understanding and keeps our hearts and minds in Him!

  17. 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

Even Jesus had to explain to his disciples who he was. So many times I have taken advantage of having been brought up in this gospel. That it used to be difficult to understand how, someone would find it hard to believe in God. Yet I am thankful that He has allowed me see and understand that we live in a world full of trouble. And that the only way to God is through Jesus, his resurrection and the Holy Ghost. Saving Power. When we repent of our wicked ways, get baptized in Jesus name for the washing away of sins, and being filled with His precious Spirit, the Holy Ghost, I am free from sin and bondage. I am free to dance, run, and be filled. I am free to live a life of victory and honor. Thank you Jesus for dying on the Cross, and coming back as the Holy Ghost, for me to able to receive you.

  18. John 14
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus said He was leaving us with His peace. His peace goes beyond human understanding and when fear comes because of the troubles around us we can hold to this promise. He did not leave us but came to dwell in us with this wonderful gift of peace. We can receive it . The world has many anecdotes of what can bring peace but they are temporary a fix for the moment. Jesus brings an everlasting peace. All the way down to covering our feet in peace. Shoes are one the most important part of a persons life . For some women they need the perfect pair for every outfit. For most men comfort. But shoes have the ability to align the body up for posture and overall feeling good through out the body . Isn’t it wonderful that in speaking about peace Jesus said He left peace with us . Then Paul in Ephesians says we are to have our feet shoes of the preparation of the Gospel of Peace . Do not be afraid let not our hearts be troubled we have on the right shoes to walk through this world in an alignment our feet are prepared with peace . Our hearts clothed with His comfort the Holy Ghost. There is nothing in this world that can bring peace like Jesus! Thank you Lird. In you I trust in you there is peace.

Ephesians 4:3 New International Version (NIV)
3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

    Ephesians 6
Verse 15 says, “And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”

  19. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

    16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Many people will say that they love Jesus, but the real proof of love is in our obedience to His commandments.
As human beings, obedience and submission do not always come easily. But God sent the Holy Ghost to lead and guide us so we are not on our own!
He also tells us of the fruit we will reap in walking in obedience.

‬‬“If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  20. THY KINGDOM COME
    KINGDOM PEACE

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Troubled hearts produce troubled lives, troubled lives produce troubled times. We are living in perilous or troubled times. Sin wrecked multitudes of lives and families for generations.

It is time for the Church to demonstrate and display JESUS for all to witness.

    FAITH conquers fear.
    BELIEF conquers betrayal.

TRUST in JESUS today and the fruit of TRUST will be PEACE.

Because JESUS is KING of Kings we believe in HIM to lead, protect and redeem HIS Kingdom. This revelation brings PEACE to HIS Kingdom and to all who serve in HIS Kingdom.

  21. 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Before we can lead someone to Jesus, they need to know there is a better place than this world to be. There is a place of love, not hate, peace and joy, not sorrow and troubles. Our Sunday school children need to know that Jesus is love and He has a special place for them, which we taught them Sunday before proceeding to baptism. They need to hear every week how much Jesus loves them and that we love them. This gospel will overcome hate in so many lives as we continue to labor for his kingdom, impacting each person or child who comes to POFW.

  22. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Truth is a great treasure –

Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

It is a precious gift that has been given me and I don’t ever want to take for granted the privilege I have to be led by His Spirit and guided into all truth.

  23. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

There’s a catch here. ASK. You have to open your mouth and speak it. At times we like to sit back and wait for God to do it.

If we have the faith that He will do it then, apply ACTION to it! Put your FAITH into ACTION but ASKING what you need.

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

  24. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

BOOM!!! You need comfort, get filled with the HG. The Holy Ghost is the key to having that comfort that only God can give us. The HG is what guides us, leads us, teaches us, gives us strength, gives us faith, etc. The HG is the key to everything. We can try to do everything alone but we will fail. t’s not till God takes a hold of us and fills us with His power and then we can conquer. Don’t get overwhelmed with the things of this world but get filled daily with the fire of the Holy Ghost.

  25. Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
    John 14:6‭-‬7‭, ‬12‭-‬14‭, ‬17‭, ‬27 NLT
JESUS is the only way he’s the truth and the light like here in the chapter there were so blind didn’t understand some of the things JESUS was saying. JESUS mentioned in the chapter that if you ask in his name and believe he will do you see God gives a huge that no one on earth can give

  26. “If ye love me, keep my commandments.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:15, 21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The key to a closer walk with God is to love Him and obey His commandments. It’s not in how well we sing, teach or if people think we’re good enough. It is solely on our personal love and obedience for Christ.

  27. 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

So many are being deceived by the New Age religion that says, there are more than one way to get to heaven. And that other faiths also lead to a God. They fail to mention Jesus is the God and the only way. We must have Jesus within us and have that relationship with him.

1 John 5:12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.

  28. ““The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that’s who loves me. And the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and make myself plain to him.””
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:21‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  29. “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I wonder sometimes how often we allow our hearts to become heavy and troubled knowing God can take care of everything in a twinkle of an eye.
I wonder how many things actually hinder us from His will to be done. The Bible says many are called but few are chosen I believe that selected few are the ones allowing God to take care of their troubled heart and troubled ways. Those individuals are the ones letting Gods will be done and not their own.
This is why it’s crucial to seek ye first the Kingdom and his righteousness, because then you’re not after your will your after His. You’re finally setting aside the worrying and anxiety from your troubled heart and youre giving it to God to take care of so His will can be performed through you and with you fully engaged.

Activate the mantle God had covered you with!
    Let’s Go!!

  30. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus is our prince of peace, he warns that their is prince of the world, our enemy, who is constantly trying to take our peace and rob us of joy. Neither of these blessings comes from satan and he has no rights to it, he only has access to it if we surrender it. Surprisingly the disciples didn’t get that Jesus all along was the Father, they wanted so badly to see two separate identities. This debunks the trinity theory. Jesus, the Father (God), and the Holy Spirit are one. Then he gives us the gift of the Holy Ghost to comfort us, the Spirit of God lives inside us literally dwelling within us, leading and teaching us. Because he lived we are to live for him also, for He is the way the truth and the light.

  31. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

  32. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”(John‬ ‭14:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

God will never leave us nor forsake his children. He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to remind us of the things he has told us. Our God is omnipresent and he’s here on earth and in heaven.

  33. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

  34. “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.” “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
    John 14:1‭-‬6 NLT

  35. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

As simple as it it can possibly be; If you love me, obey my commandments. It should be that obeying is a natural thing if we love God. If it’s a task or something hard for us to accomplish this we might question our love level. Whom we love what they ask us we do gladly because we love.

  36. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The reason we are able to remember The Word, is the Holy Ghost. New revelations, the Holy Ghost. The ideas to reach for the souls around us.. you guessed it, the Holy Ghost. If Jesus is telling us to reach, why do we draw back our hands, or keep quiet?
We must activate our mantles and seek His Kingdom, and watch how we are used to reach this world.

  37. I learned thatAnyone that does not remain with Jesus will not be a part of him and will not make it to heaven and we should be a part of his tree

  38. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Here are three words, upon any of which stress may be laid. Upon the word troubled. Be not cast down and disquieted. The word heart. Let your heart be kept with full trust in God. The word your. However others are overwhelmed with the sorrows of this present time, be not you so. Christ’s disciples, more than others, should keep their minds quiet, when everything else is unquiet. Here is the remedy against this trouble of mind, “Believe.” By believing in Christ as the Mediator between God and man, we gain comfort. The happiness of heaven is spoken of as in a father’s house. There are many mansions, for there are many sons to be brought to glory. Mansions are lasting dwellings. Christ will be the Finisher of that of which he is the Author or Beginner; if he have prepared the place for us, he will prepare us for it. Christ is the sinner’s Way to the Father and to heaven, in his person as God manifest in the flesh, in his atoning sacrifice, and as our Advocate. He is the Truth, as fulfilling all the prophecies of a Saviour; believing which, sinners come by him the Way. He is the Life, by whose life-giving Spirit the dead in sin are quickened. Nor can any man draw nigh God as a Father, who is not quickened by Him as the Life, and taught by Him as the Truth, to come by Him as the Way. By Christ, as the Way, our prayers go to God, and his blessings come to us; this is the Way that leads to rest, the good old Way. He is the Resurrection and the Life. All that saw Christ by faith, saw the Father in Him. In the light of Christ’s doctrine, they saw God as the Father of lights; and in Christ’s miracles, they saw God as the God of power. The holiness of God shone in the spotless purity of Christ’s life. We are to believe the revelation of God to man in Christ; for the works of the Redeemer show forth his own glory, and God in him.

  39. You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: Love each other.
    John 15:16‭-‬17 NLT

For us to go and produce lasting fruit…we have been chosen for this. This is the greatest commandment. Love one another. How can we produce lasting fruit when we try to love one another. Invest in our brothers and sisters and in our community. Build people up. Support people. Show them we care. Share that there is a God who loves them. Build strong relationships constructed of love, trust, unity. Lasting fruit. So that all this may continue over and they can do the same. Let’s love one another. Let LOVE spread to the furthest parts of this world and capture the hearts of those bound in chains of devastation and hopelessness. In Jesus name. Amen.

  40. Peace

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I’m so grateful for the peace of God. This morning God strongly delt with me and corrected me about this very thing. He has made peace available to us yet many do not know what His peace really is. His peace is found in His Word and my lack of allowing things and situations to trouble my heart away from His word leaves me with no peace. So it’s not His fault that I do not have it. He’s prepared a place in Him for me and I must be faithful to seek that place daily through prayer, praise, and the Word. When I do not seek that place and leave in chaos Its my own fault.

It’s like someone buying me a mansion on a hill and handing me a map with directions to get to it and I never pick up the map and seek the mansion that free to me because someone else has paid the price for it. My only job is to work to get there.

Lord forgive me where I lack I humble myself to you this morning. In Jesus name!

  41. ““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we go through hard times and we loose love ones, we have the peace of God who comfort us with the gift of peace.

  42. Thomas asks an important question here, and Jesus’ response is contrary to the popular stance today. ‘Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’ So many people are looking for the way and it becomes ever more difficult for those in the world to discern the truth from all the alternatives placed before them on all sides.

The world wants all ways to be acceptable. They’ve gone beyond just all religions, and decided that any way a person should choose for themselves should be deemed acceptable. Jesus clearly declared however that no man would make it we except by him. These views do not have a middle ground. We can’t afford to accept their compromise, because God does not compromise. He expects us to choose and then take a stand that reflects that choice! We need to stand and shine for him unto the ever increasing darkness of the world around us!
