1 Corinthians 1

Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their’s and our’s:

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

  1. The commonality of all these recent chapters keeps coming up as “unity” as verse 10 MSG says “I have a serious concern to bring up with you, my friends, using the authority of Jesus, our Master. I’ll put it as urgently as I can: You must get along with each other. You must learn to be considerate of one another, cultivating a life in common.” Let us appeal to unity as we are one body, the body of Christ.

  2. 10I appeal to you, brothers,a by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

    We see it again that we should agree and that there be no division among those of the church. Unity is a small word but mighty in use. We will only be victorious in this last day as long as we stay unified.

    26For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards,c not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29so that no human beingd might boast in the presence of God. 30And because of hime you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, (ESV)

    With being unified we ought not to boast things of our selves but boast the glory of God. Many think that since they were baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost that they don’t have to continue in learning and gaining knowledge. We have to strive to make our calling and election sure. We have to continue to study to show ourselves approved. I feel God didn’t give us a precious gift for us to put it on a shelf. We have to keep pressing toward the high calling of Jesus. That is why he chose the foolish to confound the world.

    We have to keep pushing no matter how we look to those of this world, as long as we have Jesus, we will be the winner.

    I love the Kingdom!

  3. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

    Paul’s letter to the Corinthians is age of the church today. The issues are still rooted in human shortcomings, being careful to not allow particular things of our own flesh and desires to over take our spirit. Division and preacher worship, are some of the main issues that is addressing here. This is important to why we must continue to stay in unity and humility in Following Christ

  4. 21. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

    If the only requirement to being saved was believing, it wouldn’t require preaching to save those that already believed.

    • 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God- and righteousness and sanctification and redemption- that, as it is written, He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.

  5. 1 Corinthians 2-3 (Amp) To the church ( assembly) of God which is in Corinth, to those consecrated and purified and made holy in Christ Jesus, Who are selected and called to be saints ( God’s people) together with all those who in any place call upon and give honer to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Both their Lord and ours. [3] Grace ( favor and spiritual blessing) be to you and ( heart) peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Brothers and Sisters come to together in unity and help each other and pray one another. Go tell people everywhere they need Jesus. I am so thankful for God’s love for other’s. Thank God for his grace and mercy. I love him and his word.

  6. In verse 11 Paul states that there are contentions among the brethren, inwhich verse 12 eludes that some clam to follow the doctrin of different leaders. Thusly the various leaders display the beginnings of the multitudes of denominations that exist within the christian faith today. Nevertheless Paul exorts us in verse 10 to be of the same mind and judgement so that there will be no divisions among us. Becoming gounded in the word is the first step toward having the same perspective on biblical concepts. It appears that the perfect will of God is to have one faith expressed by on church, which is devoid of today’s ubiquitous denomination. Clearly one can see that the purpose of our church discipleship class and the blogs are to help us and guide us toward one mindedness, and an overall unity in our faith. Without unity, a church will faulter and we must stay vigilant againt the devises of our adversary.

  7. Paul was a continued voice of unity amongst God’s people. He encouraged them all to even speak the same thing, that there be no divisions amongst them. It’s easier to build unity within the body when our words are in agreement. When we reach that place where the body of Christ is striving to be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment, it impacts more than just ourselves. It is noticed by those around us!

    Paul pointed out in this same passage that ‘God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;’

    The wisest of people in the world will still be confused concerning the simplicity which is in Christ… that’s why we don’t seek them for understanding of the truth. They will only truly become wise in the truth through revelation! Even more though, those that are mighty in the world cannot understand our strength.

    They look upon the church and even mock the faith of those in the church while marveling at how the church continues to prevail from generation to generation! We sustain that strength in our unity! If we are truly submitted to God, we should be able to live harmony with one another… it is one of the first steps to increasing our effectiveness in the harvest. One purpose of mind for the people who declare: One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all!

  8. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

    The world thinks we are crazy but because they have not yet had an encounter with HIS PRESENCE or HIS POWER!!!

  9. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Paul said I thank God everyday for you, I can see him praying for the people, and asking God to bless them in everything that do even when the speak in regular tounge, and spiritual utterance, that is what Leaders do, they pray for us, I know that Pastor Prays for us, I beleive he calls out our names be for God, I saw first hand passion exemplified for souls, one night we was at the new church, when it was just bones and stucco, we prayed and wrote down names of every person that we wanted God to touch, to SAVE, Sis Roman wrote down on a wall the name and apt # and of every child on their bus route, from memory no paper, She stood there and wrote in category of apartments, That was awesome, and at that point I had to check m y passion, because those kids all of their names, are on a wall on our Church because someone loves them enough to remember their name and wants them to be saved, that to me is the passion Paul had for the members and leaders of the first churches, he didn’t have a printed out sheet, he knew them all by name, Pastor knows all of our names, and he knows all of our needs, cause he is truly in tune with the Holy Ghost, if he wasn’t, we wouldn’t be where we are today!

  10. I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters. Some of you are saying, “I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying, “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Peter, ” or “I follow only Christ.”
    1 Corinthians 1:10‭-‬12 NLT
    I am thankful that I go to a church that has Unity
    I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.
    John 17:23 NLT

  11. Give God all the Glory for without Him we are nothing. A nobody found by The Somebody who loves Everybody!
    That’s Thanksgiving to God I give You thanks!

    2-25 While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an anti-miracle—and Greeks pass it off as absurd. But to us who are personally called by God himself—both Jews and Greeks—Christ is God’s ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up in one. Human wisdom is so tinny, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can’t begin to compete with God’s “weakness.”

    26-31 Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.”

  12. I Corinthians 1:1-3 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthened are brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours : Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

    As the human founder of the Corinthian church, Paul had a really big task before him. Paul loved his Corinthian brothers and sisters in Christ. But when he was he received reports that divisions, immorality, and pride had a crept into the church, he knew he had to confront the sin. Paul felt grieved perhaps even angered over the reports he received about his Corinthian colleagues. We can see in his letter the anguish he felt over what has been going on in the church, but we also read of an overriding sense of love and concern for these dear friends. It was if Paul were hitting the Corinthian church on the head with the velvet covered brick the break being his condemnation of their sin , the velvet being his love for those whom God had set apart for good works. It isn’t always easy to speak correction to those we know are clearly in the wrong. But the Lord uses strong leaders to correct His people, courageous leaders who can speak the truth in love.

    Thank God for Pastor and good leaders in our church.

  13. Verse 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
    The word glory can be translated to boast. So it say that no flesh should boast in his presence.
    I didn’t do anything, we didn’t do anything it was all Jesus who did the work. Paul said in verse 12-17 I thank God I did not baptized any one you. Why because the people started to look at man for salvation instead of God. Flesh can’t save it’s only through the blood of Jesus.

  14. 17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
    18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
    19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
    20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
    21 Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.

  15. 30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.
    31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord .” (NLT)

    It’s all by Jesus Christ! Everything we have, everything we do, is all by Him. Everything is unto His glory and everything that happens is to His glory. Don’t think more or less of yourself or of your situation, just remember it’s all to the glory of God so boast in His goodness! My God does all things well!!

  16. iLove the Kingdom

    So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

    The Word “gift” here is a powerful word. This word is Is where the charismatics get their charisma. lol. But honestly, no joking around this word gift is very powerful and supernatural.

    chárisma
    Noun Neuter
    khar’-is-mah
    from (5483)
    from ; a (divine) gratuity, i.e. deliverance (from danger or passion); (specially), a (spiritual) endowment, i.e. (subjectively) religious qualification, or (objectively) miraculous faculty:–(free) gift.

    It is the will of God for the church to have the gifts of the spirit in operation.

  17. I am writing to God’s church in Corinth, to you who have been CALLED BY GOD to be his own holy people. HE MADE YOU HOLY by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours…I always thank my God for you and for the gracious GIFTS HE HAS GIVEN you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge…Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. HE WILL KEEP YOU STRONG TO THE END so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. GOD WILL DO THIS, for HE IS FAITHFUL to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

    Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord .”
    1 Corinthians 1:2‭, ‬4‭-‬5‭, ‬7‭-‬9‭, ‬31 NLT

    GOD calls, GOD makes holy, GOD enriches, GOD gives every gift, GOD keeps, GOD is faithful, GOD saves. What on earth do we have to be proud about? We should never look at another and think we are better because of our doctrine, our salvation, our spiritual gifts, our standards of holiness, our faithfulness, or any other thing. GOD started this in us. GOD keeps us in this, and any improvement we make us only by the grace and leading of God. Instead of pride, we should be humbled and grateful for His great mercy toward us, and we should gladly share what has been given to us with everyone He leads us to.

    “But by the grace of God I am what I am…”
    1 Corinthians 15:10a KJV

  18. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

    God calls the willing, the humble and contrite person and makes them great in him. When we lift ourselves up, he can humble us and when we are humbled he can elevate us. God doesn’t get the glory when we exalt ourselves but when we see his hand in our life raising us up, it is easy to give him the glory. I give him glory and praise!

  19. 1 Cor. 1:30-31 (amp)
    30) But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God (revealing His plan of salvation), and righteousness (making us acceptable to God), and sanctification (making us holy and setting us apart for God), and redemption (providing our ransom from the penalty for sin),
    31) So then, as it is written (in Scripture), HE WHO BOASTS and GLORIES, LET HIM BOAST and GLORY IN THE LORD.

    Thank You JESUS For Everything! Thank You For…
    Revealing His Plan of Salvation
    Making Us Acceptable To God
    Making Us Holy and Setting Us Apart For God
    Providing Our Ransom From The Penalty For Sin

    I Give YOU Glory, Honor, and Praise Today!!

  20. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

    26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

    28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

    29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

  21. “Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful or influential, not many of high and noble birth. But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God. But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin], so then, as it is written [in Scripture], “H E WHO BOASTS and GLORIES, LET HIM BOAST and GLORY IN THE LORD.””
    ‭‭1 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭1:26-31‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    Jesus is the only One who makes something out of our nothing.
    We do not grow in wisdom and righteousness or receive sanctification and redemption by focusing on ourselves, but by focusing on Jesus.

    God isn’t saying that it is better to be foolish or uneducated. Rather, He is saying that the world’s wisdom and education does not bring us salvation in Jesus Christ, only a life surrendered to Him can do that.

    We may never understand why God does some of things He does. And that’s just how He wants it. If we could figure out all of His plans, we may try to take glory for them.

    “Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭9:23-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  22. AMP – 26 Just look at your own calling, believers; not many [of you were considered] wise according to human standards, not many powerful or influential, not many of high and noble birth. 27 But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. 28 God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, 29 so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God. 30 But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin], 31 so then, as it is written [in Scripture], “He who boasts and glories, let him boast and glory in the Lord

    People all start on the same equal level – created from dust in the garden, conceived in the womb of a women thereafter. We all have the same opportunity to develop our wisdom and knowledge in the Word of God and utilize it to reach the lost. God didn’t call us to grow kingdoms of our own, build bigger houses, have walls lined with degrees of accomplishments for people to see, and yet spiritually we are weak. God created us to 1) have relationship with Him and 2) to be ambassadors to those we come in contact with everyday to share the gospel so that they too might be saved. All the accolades in this world will not matter on that great judgement if we haven’t applied the commandments of the Lord in our lives and live them out on a daily basis. His wisdom brought us salvation, righteousness, and sanctification. What we do with that wisdom is entirely up to us. Let’ s make it count, let’s reproduce it in others so that He would receive all the glory for our lives.

  23. Its always important i believe to set an example, be an influence to other people that did not receive christ in their lives . People you work with etc. I want to Show them how God Loves us .. Having the word of God live in us . Like nothing else matters when we surrender our lives to Jesus . Our soul , heart , mind , strength. God first then everything else follows .

  24. THY KINGDOM COME
    UNITY

    9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
    10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

    The apostle Paul communicates this message often in the epistles or letters to the Church. Such as: Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,… The central these throughout the BIBLE is UNITY. ONE with JESUS and ONE with each other. This is simple and easy when we are in agreement either with GOD or with other saints and even with Leaders in the Church.

    Our FIRST establishment is FAITH in GOD. “GOD is Faithful”. We must FIRST be ONE with GOD before we can be fully ONE with others. This is the primary theme of The Kingdom of GOD.

    UNITY.

    As we continue asking, seeking and preparing for The Kingdom of GOD to come, we are also positioning ourselves to be submitted and obedient to HIS will.

    Lets continue to share the Gospel of JESUS and salvation through the New Birth experience. John 3:5 and Acts 2:38 and lead others in a lifestyle of Holiness; in conversation, attitude and attire.

  25. A Sign of Wisdom

    22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
    23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

    As I read this passage, my thoughts went to how simple the things of God truly are. Like, We have to repent, be baptized, and receive the Holy Ghost. That’s It. We must do as the Lord leads and guilds us. That’s It. It is not hard to live for God. Yet, so many people think its this mystical, way of the Force, type of relationship, but in all reality its just having a relationship with God. We dont need signs and the greatest wisdom of all time, we need God.

  26. 1 Corinthians 5
    That in every thing ye are
    enriched by him, in all
    utterance, and all
    knowledge.

    We are taught by him in
    every thing we say, and
    every thing we know.
    What to say, and how to
    say it, and, all knowlede,
    through the Holy Ghost.

  27. Once again, we are reminded to stand unified without division of Creed or nobility. For we were chosen by One who died for our sins, we were not born into nor did we inherit it by “world” birthrights. Thanks be to God who chose to take our place and give us the keys to the Kingdom! He thought I was worth saving…. I pray I never forget that!

  28. “Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.””
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:26-31‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  29. I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.
    1 Corinthians 1:10 NLT
    Paul the apostle knew the key to revival is unity. We have to pray for it and work for it like we did on Western day but it is a continually battle. The enemy will always try to divide us. There will always be the threat or temptation of division in the church so we must recognize it and defeat it as soon as possible in Jesus name!

  30. 26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.

    We are were just ordinary individuals when God called us to him. We heard and felt God’s presence and we answered to accept him as our savior. God doesn’t need someone of great statue or of great wealth. God will use anyone to serve in his Kingdom.

  31. “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Unity
    Unity is what causes everything to work. When there is disunity things are broken and everyone is doing their own thing. Unity brings revival. Let’s be unified.

  32. 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

    23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

    24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

    25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

  33. “May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    In God we have peace in the times of trials when we trust in Him. By His Grace we have hope.

    Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
    Hebrews 4:16

  34. Josiah:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
    31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
    If God is for us who can stand against us? It is better to depend on God than on this world. With God all things are possible. So, let us GO IN JESUS NAME!

  35. The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”
    1 Corinthians 1:18‭-‬19 NLT

    The message is simple yet humans try and make it all complex. Love. That is the message. For God so loved the world that he gave…

    Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
    Matthew 22:37‭-‬40 NKJV

  36. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
    1 Corinthians 1:3 NLT

    Jesus thank you for such unmerited grace and peace….

  37. 25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength. NLT

    Since working at the church, I have realized that some of the craziest ideas can only come from the Lord Jesus Christ!

    It is easier to follow the plan that has been all thought out, with every outcome weighed, BUT there are times that we have to completely trust God when we don’t know the outcomes.

    So allow yourself to fully rely on the crazy FAITH BUILDING plans of God!

  38. “Every time I think of you—and I think of you often!—I thank God for your lives of free and open access to God, given by Jesus. There’s no end to what has happened in you—it’s beyond speech, beyond knowledge. The evidence of Christ has been clearly verified in your lives.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:4-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    We are very blessed to be able to go to God with anything. We show how God lives in us and how we are made new through Him. The experience is beyond words!

  39. 7 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
    28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
    29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

  40. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

    Each of the five fold ministry are designed to work together for the kingdoms sake. No one saint, leader or minister is better than the other. It’s not about ranks, recognition or credit. For instance I’ve seen children show spiritual maturity beyond their years. So we all function for a certain purpose God has placed us to be. Paul was called to preach and John was called to baptize. It shouldn’t be that a certain person can only pray over you to get a break through. It’s not about a perfect prayer or fancy big words that God is coming back for. It’s faithful children that have used the calling and gifts he gave them to reach the lost. At the end of time it won’t be about who we served and rubbed elbows with, but rather who are we serving because there is only one Jesus.

  41. 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

    5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

    6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

    God’s commission has is own rewards as well
