1 Corinthians 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
The POFW Daily Bible Reading 
In this scripture Paul assures us that the ordnance of baptism expresses our hope of resurrection in the service of Christ in are heavenly abode. I recall that the Mormon church relies on verse 29 to justify their temple baptisms of the dead, which is why they are invested in geologic record keeping. However they could dispel this doctrine by referring to Romans 6 : 4, which clearly explains that baptism is an outward expression of a Christians belief in the death, burial, and resurrection.

Verse 58 MSG “With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.” Same verse AMP “Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].” We must continue to push and never stop reaching POFW as we have a purpose.

Paul is tellingnus here that God has all power and the means to change us from the old man to the new through the power of transformation. He himslef has already conquered death, Hell, and the grave. Paul tells us that in that moment of the last trumpet sounds the dead in Christ will rise and we that remain will be changed in a moment in a twinkling of an eye if we remain faithful and true to the gospel of Jesus Christ. He also tells us that he has to die daily. We have to repent and ask for forgiveness no matter who we are. The concept once saved, always saved is simply a lie. We have stay up on our praying, our reading and keeping our spirits under subjection to the power of the Holy Ghost. It’s not an easy task but with the power and strength God gives us we can keep running this race that is set before us. We have to keep pushing if we want to receive our heavenly reward. Remember God know before we ever stand before.

1 Corinthians 16 : 57-58 (Amp) But thanks be to God , Who gives us the victory ( making us conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ. [58] Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, Be firm ( steadfast) , immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord ( always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord, knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [ it is never wasted or to no purpose. The Lord has purpose for each of us. We must continue to labor’s for God’s kingdom. My prayer today is for people to find there purpose for the kingdom of God.

A lighthouse never moves. It is constant, secure, unwavering. God wants us to be that lighthouse, that beacon of hope for others. Wavering to the things of this world will only dim our light and cause others to continue searching in the dark and risk missing out on this precious life saving message.

Behold, I tell you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. We must never forget what saved us. Those whom were in the Bible times had to be reminded. Think of how much more we need to be reminded lest we forget and turn away. I thank God that we are in a church that continuously reminds everyone of the saving grace of Jesus so we don’t forget how he bled and sided for our sins and rose again.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that sin without repentance is what gives the grave victory, the longer we follow in sinful ways the more apt we are to die in our sins. God gives us the victory over sin and death, but we have to die, die to our flesh, we bury this old man in baptism, and there is so much victory in that! We have all the victory in a God who loves and cares about us!

be careful who you hang out with because no matter how good of a person you made think you are it can corrupt you. I have seen this and I have experienced this and others lives and myself. How you can be doing the right thing for the right reasons and hanging around the wrong people and he become so influenced by then that use end up giving up your normal standards of living. Who you hang around with will help determine who we are going to become within the next few years. Be careful with your atmosphere and what you entertain

We have won the victory over death.
We must continue to do Gods work untill His return. Letting His light shine thru us.
Paul repeats a question that is still often asked today. ‘But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?’ We are usually diplomatic when responding, but in this case Paul chooses to be very blunt in his response. He wrote, ‘Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.’
He first provides an easily understood physical example of the harvest. The seed they plant in the ground is done with the expectation of a much greater abundance, so the plant which comes forth is much greater than the seed! The grain it produces is much greater than the individual seeds that were sown into the ground. We know what it will bring forth by what we planted, but what it becomes is expected to be so much greater!
He goes on to declare, ‘So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.’ The spiritual resurrection of the dead will raise us in the strength of God’s perfect will and desire! What happens to our current physical bodies in between is immaterial. We will still recognize who we were, just as you recognize the plant by the seed which was sown, but we will be free of the corruption of sin! God created us all and intends to bring us forth in the strength of his glory! We see the natural now as we strive for the spiritual, but after the resurrection is truly that which is spiritual!
50 What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.
51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! (NLT)
Like a seed we must be planted and rooted in the Word of God. We have to let God have control and bring ourselves under His subjection to be planted, hidden in the soil, endure a little sprouting even if it hurts, and then allow Him to unfold the beauty of the fruit before us. We all are our own special seed, we all have a purpose and a special fruit to bear, but it has to be at God’s hand, for His glory. Let God transform you and watch your life become more beautiful than ever!
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

We must be born again of the water and of the Spirit and be ready to hear the trumpet sound so we can be changed to be like Him. Stay full of the Holy Ghost and keep your garments spotless, free of sin. We must also reach for others as we keep ourselves ready-reaching even into the fire to help someone out of the ways of this world.

Who got the last word, oh, Death?
Oh, Death, who’s afraid of you now?
It was sin that made death so frightening and law-code guilt that gave sin its leverage, its destructive power. But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three—sin, guilt, death—are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!
58 With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.

You see what Paul is saying here…He’s basically saying that he was forgiven much and therefore he worked harder than any of the other Apostles through the grace of God. What does that mean to the 21st century? Well, some of the hardest workers in Pentecost come from really rough backgrounds. It’s not that they are working for salvation, but it’s more than likely they remember where they came from and they love Jesus more than other folks and feel as Paul did.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Consistency and faithfulness is what God is looking for. No matter what comes our way we should still express the joy of the Lord. Paul tells us in Philippians 4:11 “Not that I speake in respect of want: for I haue learned in whatsoeuer state I am, therewith to bee content.”
People are watching our lives. They are looking to see if we are genuine, consistent in our relationships and walk with God. They don’t want something that is a fly by night experience, they want something real to fill that emptiness inside. If we don’t express the charity (love) and the joy why would they want what we have.
Earlier in the chapter Paul tells us in verse 3 “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;” Can we say the same? Do we deliver to others what we have received? If not, today is a good day to start.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
“Death where is your sting.

Believe in vain (15-2)
Vain is eike and focuses on result or outcome. Thus to believe in vain means christian faith apart from resurrection means to believe without prospect of any reward
(15-29)
Paul does not endorse the practice. He simply points out that it is good for the Corinthians to undergo baptism as a surrogate for someone who is dead if they really do not believe in resurrection.

1) My friends, I want you to remember this message that I preached and that you believed and trusted.
2) You will be saved by this message, if you hold firmly to it. But if you don’t, your faith was all for nothing.

We must REMEMBER and HOLD FIRMLY To The Message that was preached to us (… how that Christ died for our sins; and he was buried; and that he rose again the third day… vs. 3-4), lest at any time we should let it slip away from us.

It appears that Paul spends as much time in his letters correcting false doctrine as he does preaching the truth. From the beginning of the Gospel message, the enemy has tried to pervert the truth with slight variations that completely nullify it’s effect. In fact, throughout history multiple perversions have arisen by mixing popular culture or theology with the Gospel message. Paul is addressing one such instance of this: some Corinthians had created a gospel of baptism without resurrection, resulting in a salvation without a death to sin and subsequent life of righteousness.
Paul felt it necessary to remind those listening to these promoters of false doctrines that without the resurrection, there was no salvation. He reiterates that the Gospel is not complete without the death, burial, AND resurrection of the Lord, and our salvation through that Gospel is also not complete unless we experience all three.
Christ was risen (born again from the dead) by the power of the Spirit, and we must likewise be born of that same Spirit if we are to experience eternal life (or incorruption). For the fleshly, natural body cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; we must be raised a spiritual body after the likeness of Christ’s resurrection. Moreover, if we be now the spiritual body of Christ, we ought not to live after the lusts of the flesh but after the motivations and righteousness of His Heavenly Kingdom.
The danger, Paul states, of evil communications (Greek, “hom-il-ee’-ah,” or homilies), or false doctrines, is that they corrupt good manners. In other words, Paul is saying that the hallmark of perverse teachings is that they ruin good morals, or they lead to the encouragement of sinful living. Thus, he commands the Corinthians (and us) to “awake to righteousness, and sin not.” The literal Greek translation says to “sober up righteously and stop sinning.” We must awaken from our drunken stuper of sin and live unto God as those who have been born again of His Spirit of Holiness.
The true Gospel will always promote righteous living through the power of the resurrected Christ who lives in us and through us. Anything that promotes sin, selfishness, or self-righteousness is a perversion of that Truth. We must be, therefore, steadfast and unmovable in sharing God’s uncorrupted truth through righteous living and labors of love toward then that are without.

Be not deceived, what we listen to; whether in conversation, read in news/media and what we watch on the internet or any other video form if it has any form of evil, negative or sinful influence will corrupt good manners or righteous living.
The apostle is quick to address the contentious spirit of division over the resurrection of the dead that has arisen among the believers. It is apparent that there was chatter or communication negatively in regards to the resurrection of the dead. The WORD of GOD addresses the contention head on with the facts of JESUS and HIS resurrection.
The use of words such as “Awake” reveals that there was spiritual laziness; lack of prayer, bible study, worship, etc and that gossip may have overpowered TRUTH in the ears of some. He called this condition sin and commissioned the Church to return to its purpose of sharing the Gospel of JESUS with those that do not know HIM.
I pray a KINGDOM AWAKENING will shake and stir The Pentecostals of Fort Worth to recognize the time and season that we are living in and the thousands of people that we are around every day that know nothing about JESUS.
Awake to living RIGHT before GOD and to REPENT of sin, turn OFF all evil communication whether physical or electronic and GO tell others about JESUS and The Kingdom of GOD.

This chapter opens by explaining the gospel, proving the resurrection of Jesus with 500 plus witnesses. He then goes into further teaching about the essential role of the resurrection of Jesus in our preaching, living and salvation. He teaches about how our new resurrected bodies will be. He concludes by saying,therefore, because there is a resurrection, there is a hope of a better life, there is a reward coming, Be STEADFAST, UNMOVABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING in the work of the Lord!!!!!!! Because your labor of love is not in vain in the Lord!!!!!!

But by His grace.
Yes we are saved by his resurrection and by His grace. If it wasn’t for that, he would would not have chosen to come down and do for you and me. Thank you Jesus for his Grace and Mercy.
58So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
Serve the Lord. No matter how small the deed may seem, God sees you are serving in his Kingdom. Your work may not be seen by others but sees the time you spending.

Let us never forget that from the smallest tasks to the large sacrifices are all important to the King. Let us continue to be steadfast and immovable in our dedication to the King of Kings.
The only chance I have

I have done nothing on my own. I need his Grace everyday. If I have done anything good it is because He inspires me and empowers me to do so.

Think about it, when we’re filled with the Holy Ghost our old selves are dying. It’s then when we begin to grow spiritually. We have to put away the old and let God manifest the new.

I’m so thankful that Christ has made us victorious. The battle has been fought and He has won. All we have to do is be steadfast, unloveable, and abound in His Work. Keep praying keep working and keep growing. For your labout is much but the reward is eternally priceless.

One of the hardest things to do, the process of death of a seed. What does God what to die off of us?
So of us find ourselves fighting against God, trying to keep alive what God destined to die. Because God know that fruitfulness come after the seed dies. Don’t pray against the very process that will bring your blessing!

God sees all that we do. Every thing in which we serve and labor He takes notice off. What a promise we have according to this word that our labor is not in vain. Let’s not be weary in well doing in living right and showing the love of God, in guiding people to the Light, in sharing the good new, in serving in His Kingdom for in due season we shall reap.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

What we watch, see, do, listen, hang out with, talk to will affect us. This is why it’s important to pray without ceasing so we can distinguish between the good and the evil. We can’t let the enemy deceive us in any way because he knows the Word of God. However he can’t touch us but he can make us a fool and deceive us and make us turn to the wrong path. We can’t give place to the enemy at all!!! Let us be vigilant always!!!
This image of planting a dead seed and raising a live plant is a mere sketch at best, but perhaps it will help in approaching the mystery of the resurrection body—but only if you keep in mind that when we’re raised, we’re raised for good , alive forever! The corpse that’s planted is no beauty, but when it’s raised, it’s glorious. Put in the ground weak, it comes up powerful. The seed sown is natural; the seed grown is supernatural—same seed, same body, but what a difference from when it goes down in physical mortality to when it is raised up in spiritual immortality! But let me tell you something wonderful, a mystery I’ll probably never fully understand. We’re not all going to die— but we are all going to be changed. You hear a blast to end all blasts from a trumpet, and in the time that you look up and blink your eyes—it’s over. On signal from that trumpet from heaven, the dead will be up and out of their graves, beyond the reach of death, never to die again. At the same moment and in the same way, we’ll all be changed. In the resurrection scheme of things, this has to happen: everything perishable taken off the shelves and replaced by the imperishable, this mortal replaced by the immortal. Then the saying will come true: Death swallowed by triumphant Life! Who got the last word, oh, Death? Oh, Death, who’s afraid of you now? It was sin that made death so frightening and law-code guilt that gave sin its leverage, its destructive power. But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three—sin, guilt, death—are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!
