2 Corinthians 4

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

  1. Verses 13-15 MSG “We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!” Same verse CEV “In the Scriptures it says, “I spoke because I had faith.” We have that same kind of faith. So we speak because we know that God raised the Lord Jesus to life. And just as God raised Jesus, he will also raise us to life. Then he will bring us into his presence together with you. All of this has been done for you, so that more and more people will know how kind God is and will praise and honor him.” We must never give up or keep quiet; but rather keep the faith for we are as verses 5-6 MSG state “Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful.”

  2. So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.

    No matter what we face, when we stay focused on the Lord, we shall be VICTORIOUS through Christ and only in Him will there ever be Victory!!! He is life, He is LOVE, peace, my shield… GLORY to HIM❤❤❤❤

    And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

    The flesh must die; so the spirit can live eternally. Everyday I must cause my flesh to die so that my spirit can abound in the glory of God. I must turn from the ways of the world and to that which is a sweet aroma to God. Is it hard: for me yes. I was so consumed by the world that walking away from what I’m use to want easy. That is where I had to learn some serious discipline. The shows I watched and a lot of the things I did. I thank you Jesus for showing me how to afflict my flesh and submit to you.

  5. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

    6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

    7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

    8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

    In everything we do, there is always a purpose for us doing it. We have to choose for what reason we rise up every morning and take a step to move forward. There are many results that come by every decision we make through the moments of our life. There can only be one promise and many blessings that will come to each of us when we hold fast to our faith. Without knowing the end from the beginning we can only place our trust in the promise and hope of God

    Regardless of how we feel, what we are going through, there is but one reason for us to let our light shine in the darkness and that is to bring hope for the hopeless and to bring joy to the broken hearted. We will be tried and storms will come and trials, tribulations, accusations, and perilous times will cause us to question our walk with God, but first if the Kingdom is placed first, then we will know that his will be done. There will be nothing that will separate us from the love of God.

    I love the Kingdom!

    I seek him first!

  6. 7. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. NLT

    What kind of clay pot glows? One that has a source of light inside bright enough to shine through. It will stand out in the darkness and people will be curious about what makes it different than those around it.

    Here I am,
    A simple clay pot.
    Though like others on the outside,
    On the inside I am not.
    My Creator lives in me;
    The Light that everyone can see.
    Oh, when you hear my story,
    It gives Him all the glory
    And when telling it I am through,
    You’ll want Him living in you, too!

  7. 11 Corinthians 4
    5-6 Remember, our Message is not about ourselves; we’re proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Master. All we are is messengers, errand runners from Jesus for you. It started when God said, “Light up the darkness!” and our lives filled up with light as we saw and understood God in the face of Christ, all bright and beautiful

    “INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT”
    WE MUST SHARE THIS LIGHT WITH THE WORLD
    IT only takes a spark to get a candle burning. There are thousands waiting to see just a flicker of Light . We can and we will lead them
    “INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT”
    In Jesus Name

    13-15 We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!

  8. 2 Corinthians 4: 6 ( Amp) For God Who said,Let light shine out darkness. has shone in our hearts so as
    [ to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God as
    it is manifest in the Person and is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ ( the Messiah ). [ Gen.1:3] And God said, Let there be light ; and there was light.
    ” God light the darkness” ! Fill us up with your light of Gospel that your power may be shown to the world. To be shown it not about us . It’s all about God’s exceeding power. To God be the Glory.

  9. 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    The Bible here is telling us that the god of this world has blinded the eyes of those who do not believe, it’s not that they were blinded while believing, they had already refuse to believe and God has called us to be a light to every person to reach those who have not been blinded by the enemy. It also gives us insight that there are some people who will not believe no matter what is shown to them, but to keep pressing through to reach those that may see the light.

  10. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. When I think of a vessel I think of a container
    VESSEL: of uncertain affinity; a vessel, implement, equipment or apparatus (literally or figuratively (specially, a wife as contributing to the usefulness of the husband)):–goods, sail, stuff, vessel.
    a vessel
    an implement
    in the plural
    household utensils, domestic gear
    the tackle and armament of vessels, used specifically of sails and ropes
    metaph.
    a man of quality, a chosen instrument
    in a bad sense, an assistant in accomplishing an evil deed

    “Vessel” was a common Greek metaphor for “body” since Greeks thoughtof souls living temporarily in bodies.

    God uses us as a vessel for his Spirit to dwell in us. If we aren’t filling it with worldly, lustful desires of the flesh, but desires of the spirit, the word, prayer, fruits if the spirit, all the things that make God be able to manifest in our lives, we don’t have to worry about defeat, I’m defeated when I don’t pray, or even half heartedly pray, I’m defeated, when I fill my body of goodbye not spiritual food, but when I fill myself with Gods Bread. Water of life. I am a chosen earthly vessel that is useable for God and I have a treasure, The Holy Ghost. and I’m not the only one that holds a treasure!

  11. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

    4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    If we hid our faith from this world how will they see God? If I don’t tell this world about Jesus how will they be brought out of this world? For the God of this world has blinded there eyes it is up to us to shine in this world. be a light a beacon of hope. Make it a goal every day tell someone about Jesus and how He loves them.
    If we put our self in there shoes and we were lost and they had the answer would we won’t they to tell us? Yes we would so why not go ahead and tell them about Jesus the one who has all the answers and that can save.

  12. 2 Corinthians 4:15 (amp)
    15) For all (these) things are for your sake, so that as (God’s remarkable and undeserved) grace reaches MORE and MORE people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of (our great) God.

    2 Corinthians 4:15 (nlt)
    15) All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches MORE and MORE people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive MORE and MORE glory.

    2 Corinthians 4:15 (msg)
    15) Every detail works for your advantage and to God’s glory: MORE and MORE grace, MORE and MORE people, MORE and MORE praise!

    This verse made me think of the song the Praise Singers sang Sunday night: MORE and MORE.
    I believe there is a banner hanging in the sanctuary that says “MORE” on it. It was a Vision that was presented to the church a few years ago.
    MORE and MORE of God’s Grace
    MORE and MORE People being saved
    MORE and MORE Thanksgiving to God
    MORE and MORE Praise to God
    MORE and MORE Glory to God

  13. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

  14. 16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. (NLT)

    This is what we call an equal and opposite effect. As life goes on our bodies become aged and weak, but our spirits are being strengthened and spiritually we are becoming wiser, drawing closer and closer to God and our reward in Heaven. Everyday that we crucify this flesh and die to ourselves, is another day of thriving life spiritually where we come close to God and His light is able to shine through us.

  15. iLove the Kingdom

    Wow, check these scriptures out:

    4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    Let’s break it down. The Light will shine regardless. Jesus is the Light of the World. Why can’t the whole world see the Light? Because the “god of this world” has put blinders on their eyes. Look at verse #6. According to verse #6, it is possible for God to speak into the darkness of folks hearts…just like He did in Genesis…so why doesn’t God himself in the flesh just speak light into the darkness of everyones hearts? Because He told US to do it. When we preach the gospel, the light enters through the ears, and gives light to the hearer. God has given us the authority to speak light into the darkness. Not many folks say, “If God wants to save me he will save me.” Not many preachers say, “If God wants to save them, He’ll save them”. Most of us realize that preaching the Gospel brings salvation. It is the will of God for folks to be saved through the preaching of the Gospel. We have that power inside us. We also have the same power and authority to heal and cast out devils. Boom. No difference, you don’t have to ask for permission, Jesus has already led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. Speak life into those around you. Speak health to those around you.

  16. 16. So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.

    What we need most in our weakness is God’s sufficient grace, not more strength and not a dramatic deliverance. This is so backward from how the world operates. We like to show off our strength. To act like we’ve got it all together. But this is the opposite of God. His power is made perfect in weakness. If I could sustain myself through trials by my own, then I could take some of the glory. I made it on my own. I locked and loaded, buckled down, and hacked and whacked my way to the finish line.

    But I can’t sustain myself in the slightest. If God wasn’t behind me pushing and before me making a way, I would head toward collapse at the first sign of trials. No one will be boasting of their own strength in heaven. I will be boasting about how God sustained me through depression and heartache and trials. I will be boasting about how God answered my desperate prayers for my children.

  17. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
    17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
    18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    The light of Christ lives in us even though our physical bodies die. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus

  18. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

    4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    I pray that we all become a lighthouse in the church to shine for the hurt and lost that God can bring them to the light to become another lighthouse.

    17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

    God went through so much while on earth to show us what we go through everyday is really light compared to being beaten and hung on a cross.

  19. 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    Everything we have on this earth is temporal. Once we pass away someone else is going to take our money and our personal possessions. Having a nice car, clothes, and money is good but it should not be our main focus while living in this world. Jesus loves us so much and has a purpose to fulfill in each and every one of our lives. I once heard someone say that you will find real peace and true joy in fulfilling your God-given purpose. I want that peace and joy and I want to be God’s good and faithful servant. So I’m going to listen to God and obey His voice.

  20. “So we’re not giving up. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:16-18‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  21. Keep your eyes on the prize . What is that prize? Well I’m glad you asked . The prize is living in eternal life with JESUS. Lay you eyes off the troubles of the world and keep them ON THE kingdom of God

  22. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
    6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
    7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
    8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
    10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

    It is never about us. It is always about Jesus.

  23. 5 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

    16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

    17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

    18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    Life happens but it is our outlook on those things that is portrayed to others. Is everything the “devil” did this to me, or pity me? If we can change the outlook we have on the things that happen to us, we can better portray a christ like attitude. Something is just the consequences of life, some are test and trials for the betterment of us spiritually, allowed by God himself. Whichever the case may be we must remember to turn to the Lord in every situation. Allow Him to be our strength, wisdom and direction and “in everything give thanks” asking God what can I learn from this situation? Let me learn it, pass the test and move on, all with a godly, Christlike attitude so that God receives the glory in everything!

  24. 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    We must always keep in mind that there are those that really do not and cannot understand why we must have different standards than those of the world….

  25. 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    We are to KINGDOM WALK by FAITH not by SIGHT.
    2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight”
    We must not allow temporal circumstances hinder us from Kingdom Walking.

  26. So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
    2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT

    Our ability to stand in the midst of trial, sickness, persecution, hardship, etc., depends on our ability to see past what is current and focus on what has been promised us for eternity. If our hope is in this life, Paul said, we will be most miserable. As the woman in labor sees past the pain to the joy of holding her child, we must see past this life, no matter what troubles it brings, to the joy of beholding our God for all eternity. This life is but a vapor, and our light afflictions can’t be compared to the glory we shall experience in eternity. We must, therefore, set our affections on things above, lest the things beneath cause us to stumble.

  27. So never procrastinate in giving God attention, he is the light of the 🌎 . No matter what tribulation or distress or heaviness or worry . things happen in life… and Life is what you make it …. But God still brings that Light inside of Us . Hope LoVe Faith in him . JESUS thank you for your grace and word/

  28. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    NEVER QUIT

    6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
    7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
    8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
    10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

    In keeping The Kingdom FIRST in our lives we will find ourselves in uncomfortable and even undesirable situations. But FIRST The Kingdom will keep our eyes on JESUS and not on our own challenges or troubles. The understanding that we are bearing in our bodies the marks of the Lord JESUS. Meaning that our life of service is to the King JESUS and HIS Kingdom is the inspiration and motivation that we need to NEVER QUIT.

    In times of trouble, distress, perplex, persecution, downcast may we always remember that The Kingdom of GOD is within us and Greater is HE that is IN us than he that is in the world.

    Be encouraged today and seek FIRST the Kingdom of GOD.

  29. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory

    You don’t judge a mans character when everything is going right, you can see his character when he deals with failure or loss. When our bodies or minds are week we are tempted and this is when we show the world around us what we are made of and our true commitment level. You have to be careful not to pray a test off yourself or someone else that God has ordained to witness to you or the ones watching you. This is why we are thankful in all things be cause all things work together for good, however not all things are good.

  30. “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Lord, I ask that the scales that blind people from scene who you really are would be removed. I pray that you’re light would shine and penetrate into their heart. I pray that their hearts to be softened and they would receive the truth.

  31. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Setting the truth plainly
    (vs 1-2)
    Dont hesitate to speak out if your not as skilled or as clever or as knowledgeable as others . It is the message not the messenger thats the key
    Circumstances change God does not

  32. 2Corinthians 4:18
    While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
    So look not at the world (situation) around us, but look at God at work in and through and around us.

  33. 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

    3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

    When we experience new birth in Christ we have renounced old ways and put down the things of the world and picked up the things God has intended for us. In God’s time we change and take on the image of Him and live His truth and show His love. We are a peculiar people. We should stand out and be different. If we stay the same and “fit in” looking and acting like our old selves then we are hiding the gospel of what God can do and we are not filling the purpose God has given us.

  34. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed

    When we live for Jesus opposition is sure to come. Jesus overcame persecution, death and the grave but rose again to give us victory. The present pains of life is nothing compared to the future glory to come in our reward that is heaven.

  35. “Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.”(2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:11-12‬ ‭NLT)

    Paul, explains to us here that living for Jesus Christ isn’t playing it safe or trying to survive. Instead, we are in danger constantly each day of our lives because we serve Jesus Christ. So as we live for Christ in our daily lives, His life will be seen as evidence in our dying bodies. Each day we wake up, we rise up with Christ in us and facing death in the face but God has resulted us eternal life for eternity.

  36. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
    4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    How do we see? With our eyes. Yes, this is true, and if you take a closer look, we see by seeing the reflection of colors, and light. This is the reason why people who are colored blind, find it more difficult to perceive some objects.
    In the Spirit, we know that God is the Light of the World, and when he is King in our lives, we can see what is happening. If we allow the enemy to darken our vision, we then become blind to the things around us, and we could fall. This is why it is so important to have God FIRST in our lives, that way he can shine His light unto our path and make in bright for us to see.

  37. 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    JESUS, I pray that the veil be l lifted and blinders be remove from people so they may be illuminated to the Truth of Your Word.

  38. 4 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus .

  39. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

    The Godpel is a lifestyle and a way of living in truth! We can’t just go get food and act like pagans and never shed light on this dark world, we need to show this world and the people that live in it the love of Christ!

  40. God shines Upon me when I am in Trouble and I talk to god when I am in trouble and I shine bright when I am in Gods house

  41. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

    8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

    9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

  42. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
    We are meant to share the gospel to this world. Home Bible studies, P7’s, and other Bible studies matter. To teach someone else about the Bible one first needs to study the Bible and pray. People need to know the Bible so they can obey the Word of God. . So, let us GO STUDY IN JESUS NAME!

  43. [2Co 4:7 NLT] 7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
    We are just fragile clay jars but we have the most precious treasure of God’s Spirit in us! We are still weak but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. The moment we think we think we did it on our own, is the moment we can expect God to resist us. [Jas 4:6 KJV] 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. We must never forget where our power and strength comes from!

  44. I learned that the things that we can see will die when Jesus comes and the things that we can’t see will live when jesus comes

  45. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    Amen! We walk by faith and not by sight. We have to stand firm and believe in God and know what even when we don’t see it He’s working. He’s working every step of the way. His Words are so wise that all we have to do is believe. We have to work for what is worth. We can’t put our effort on the things of this world but His Kingdom. His Kingdom is what matters the most before anything else. Jesus help me to not put excuses but to always put you FIRST!!

  46. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

    Speaking with someone earlier, I reminded them of this. We need to continually be mindful that we give thanks and all glory in everything to Jesus.

  47. 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

    1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

    Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth ;to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

    We must continue to preach to Gospel of Jesus Christ to our City!

  48. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

    As Christians we represent Christ to everyone that we meet. So we must ensure that the Gospel is in the forefront . Let us not pollute the Gospel with our ensecurities anf shortcoming but let us be real by being Kingdom minded and lead others by being an example of the Gospel.

  49. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ.
    2 CORINTHIANS 4:6 AMP
    https://bible.com/bible/1588/2co.4.6.AMP

    For we have been called from darkness into his marvelous light. And this is not to hide the light in us but to lead other and shine the Light of the gospel of Jesus.

  50. “We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Nobody said living for Jesus was easy. I do know you’re blessed living for Jesus. I do know I’d rather work hard on living for Jesus than not work at all and live for this world.

  51. What are you looking at?
    “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    It’s easy to get caught up In the things that you can see because they are right in front of you. Just like Peter on the water, the things that catch your attention cause you to take your eyes off what really matters. We need to refocus and look toward Jesus. It will mean more walking by faith and less walking by sight, but what is it that we are really looking at?

  52. We should never forget ‘But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost’ His light needs to continue to shine in our lives that those still stumbling in the darkness would have a beacon to guide them into his marvelous light! Don’t hide it to fit in, don’t quench it to satisfy carnal desires, don’t forget it and let the oil run dry, continue to declare Jesus unto a lost and dying world. Give those who seek something more a hope that there is truly something greater and a God who not only exists, but cares about each of us!

  53. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
    II Corinthians 4:8‭-‬10‭, ‬13‭, ‬16‭-‬18 NKJV

  54. 16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.

    Physically we are getting older, grow weary faster and forget things. But spiritually we are strong as ever, rejoicing, praising and worshiping. Our spirit never tires. The old saying, “we may be old, but we are young in heart”.
