2 Corinthians 6

We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

  1. Paul admonishes us not to receive the grace of God in vain, which means to me not say to yourself I am saved and know I have fulfilled the bible’s beckoning. Thusly we should always seek to grow more like Christ and fulfill the great commission, which is to win the lost, and in doing so we are advised to inform our reluctant converts that the scripture says that today is the day of salvation because we do not have promise of a the spirit of God drawing us to receive salvation. Additionally, Paul lists a set virtues that we should cling to during are quest to fulfill the great commission. Moreover the church in Corinth was a congregation of converts from its culture of Pagan beliefs that had many connections with idolators and the scripture encourages us not to be bound to unbelieves, however our engagement with the lost should be to draw them into the body of Christ.

  2. 16. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell IN THEM, and walk IN THEM; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

    Colossians 1:
    27. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ IN YOU, the hope of glory:

    28. Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

    29. Whereunto I also labour, striving according to His working, which worketh IN ME mightily.

We are in this world, but not of it. I must have His Kingdom IN ME.

  3. Verses 3-10 MSG “Don’t put it off; don’t frustrate God’s work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we’re doing. Our work as God’s servants gets validated—or not—in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly . . . in hard times, tough times, bad times; when we’re beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating; with pure heart, clear head, steady hand; in gentleness, holiness, and honest love; when we’re telling the truth, and when God’s showing his power; when we’re doing our best setting things right; when we’re praised, and when we’re blamed; slandered, and honored; true to our word, though distrusted; ignored by the world, but recognized by God; terrifically alive, though rumored to be dead; beaten within an inch of our lives, but refusing to die; immersed in tears, yet always filled with deep joy; living on handouts, yet enriching many; having nothing, having it all.” People are watching us, whether we realize it or not. Our reaction, our outburst or our praise can either be a blessing to someone or a stumbling block. Now is not the time to bow out under pressure from this world; but, rise above and take hold of what is ours…..First the Kingdom.

  4. Stay away from people who are not followers of the Lord! Can someone who is good get along with someone who is evil? Are light and darkness the same? Is Christ a friend of Satan? Can people who follow the Lord have anything in common with those who don’t?
    2 Corinthians 6:14‭-‬15 CEV

    So true!!!!
‘Show me your friends, and i’ll tell you who you are!’ This has been said so many times in my home. It’s a wake up call… allowing us to examine who we are as ‘Christians’. God desires obedience, righteousness, and truth to be within. Young or old we all have choices in life, we make them daily. But there is also a cost to each one we make either good or bad.

I choose to live, ‘fIRST THE KINGDOM!’ it’s the only way to live.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord , choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .
    Joshua 24:15 KJV

  5. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
    II Corinthians 6:4‭-‬10 NKJV

  6. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

I used to think that the scripture was just talking about not being with unbelievers but it goes much deeper than that because the yolk is the tool that goes on the back of two oxen in order to plow a field for harvest. If the yolk is uneven it’s referring to as having a donkey on one side and an oxen on the other and thus making the harvest plow on even and much more difficult to bring up a crop. Of course the scripture is not talking about I sweating ourselves from unbelievers but it is talking about those that we associate with the closest to should be ones on similar pathways and in agreement with us.

  7. Just as in the days of the Bible and today; God will not share us with this world. We must choose to put aside the things of this world.,”Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the Lord your God.”(Lev 20.7). We must live a holy lifestyle and serve Him alone.”Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”(1 Pet.1:16)
When we do, our lives, our testimony will become what God desires it to be; bringing souls out of this horrendously evil world and into His saving grace. Full of joy and peace that passes all understanding.
Something that this world and the things of it never has and never will give.

  8. 2 Corinthians 6: 17-18 [Amp] So , come out from among ( unbelievers) , and separate ( yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [ any] unclean thing ; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor. [18] And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. [ Isa.52:11 ] Depart, depart, go out from there [ the lands of exile] ! Touch no unclean thing, Go out of the midst of her [ Babylon]
cleanse yourselves and be clean, you who bear the vessels of the Lord [ on your journey from there]. Lord what is your will today ! Beware of the wolf’s dress in sheep clothing trying to deceive you from God. Stay in the Light of Salvation.

  9. “Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I’ll be a Father to you; you’ll be sons and daughters to me.” The Word of the Master, God.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:14-18‬ ‭MSG‬‬

It matters what we do because we are God’s dwelling place. We must remain righteous, holy, and pure. We must carefully examine the things we talk about, watch, read, and the places we go because we are his temple.

  10. 1. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

Being separated from the world goes completely against the entire system set about us in this present day of living. Someone recently said to me
“but this is what all teens my age are doing”. They were justifying their own actions. No matter the age take a look around. Yes the majority of the world are doing the same thing. Take a pair of tennis shoes for instance I think they are called Vans , think about games that are played Fortnite Battle Royale What about Sunday afternoon or evenings Football Games , Halmark movies, swapping spouses , surfing the internet looking for the next picture to appease the flesh . Everyone Everywhere doing the same thing. Yes this is what the world does. We are admonished to come out from among the world. It doesn’t mean we can’t have fun we can’t play a game we can’t wear Vans. Yet does our life blend in with this world . Or are we different enough not just in our outward attire but in our lifestyle that someone who is desperately searching for something more satisfying than this world and it’s pleasures can come to know God. Yes it might be what everyone else is doing it might be acceptable to the world but I must be sure that whatever I’m engaging my self in will not cause me to miss the message Paul is preaching here. Light supersedes darkness . Satan wants all of us to think sin is ok he wants to get us so caught up in this world that we too are no longer distinctively different. God help us we can take a stand we do not have to look live or act like the world. In the world but not if it. Be different don’t be afraid to be separate it’s ok . You can influence others to live where there is righteousness peace and yes joy . No not everyone is doing it we can teach the world but it will take being different. Someone will notice and will want to know your secret of how you got out and how you overcame the sin that had caught a hold of their life . Someone is looking for help if bring tangled up in a life of sin.
Be different someone will follow we can make a difference. One soul at a time . Turn your eyes upon Jesus and the things of this world will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace . And yes I know how to have fun …..

  11. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Separate yourself morally and spiritually from sin and from everything that is contrary to Jesus Christ. Do not comprise yourself when witnessing to unbelievers

  12. iLove the Kingdom
    Now Faith
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

The Word salvation in this verse is the following word defined from the Greek.
    G4991 σωτηρία
sōtēria- Feminine of a derivative of G4990 as (properly abstract) noun; rescue or safety (physically or morally): – deliver, health, salvation, save, saving.

Notice the context of the chapter. The Apostle is speaking the things he was going through for the sake of the church and yet he declares that “today is the day of salvation”. The word “salvation” defined is not limited to the saving of the spirit. By definition it refers to a rescue physically and morally. The Apostle Paul is declaring that whatever you are going through, salvation is today. We have to have “now faith” everyday for that day. Don’t think God will heal tomorrow, think that God will heal and save today.

  13. As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord . Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.
    2 Corinthians 6:1‭-‬2‭, ‬16‭-‬17 NLT
The time is now no time to waste Step in .
When we started to put God kingdom first nothing else will matter, here the thing people want to do these day they one foot in the water and one foot out, God doesn’t want part of us he wants all of us the Bible says to love him with all you heart, with all you soul , and with all your mite steps in.

  14. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    HOLINESS

The world and even some unlearned believers consider the Apostolic lifestyle to be; legalism, control or even weakness. However I have witnessed holiness to be love, joy and power in Christ JESUS.

At a distance, holiness is one of the FIRST ways to be identified with JESUS and The Kingdom of GOD. The apostle instructs the Corinthians to not be yoked, in fellowship or communion with things or people that represent this world.

    Lets look at these words:

SEPARATE – 873. aphorizoœ; from 575 and 3724; to set off by boundary, i.e. (figuratively) limit, exclude, appoint, etc.: — divide, separate, sever.

HOLY – 40. hagios; sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially, consecrated): — (most) holy (one, thing), saint.

The word HOLY is found in:

1Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

    Which is a reference to:

Leviticus 20:26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

The Hebrew word for HOLY is:

HOLY – H6918 qadowsh; sacred, holy, Holy One, saint, set apart

Meaning to be set apart or separate.

Separation from the world; not acting like, looking like or being a part of the world.

1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

FIRST The Kingdom means last the world. Everything we do; our attitude, actions, audibles and every decision we make should represent this fact.

HOLINESS is a Kingdom Principal that we should seek FIRST.

  15. 2 Corinthians 6:1, “WE then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.”

1 Corinthians 3:9, “For we are labourers together with God: …”

“As Workers Together With Him / We Are Labourers Together With God”
We are workers and labourers together with God. We are Kingdom minded.
    FIRST The KINGDOM!

  16. “For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Tomorrow may never come
I like how some of Leaders are very persistent on getting things done. Reaching for the Lost we should be persistent especially when someone is placed on our heart. Jesus gives up on nobody, so keep praying for your loved ones because God will make a change somewhere…wherever it’s needed

  17. Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

    5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

    8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

    9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Why is it that Christians seem to have taken on the “spirit of offense” when we have been instructed to give no offense . …. no means none… don’t me offended over anything. Another place we are told that “offenses must come”….

Could it be that offenses must come until we have died out to our flesh enough that when they do come we don’t get offended, we don’t retaliate and we don’t fly off the deep end. That is how we can tell we have conquerors. Sometimes the test is not others it’s for us to see how much flesh still lives in us.

  18. 2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. (NLT)

He saved me just in time!! God knows what He’s doing, there is always an appointed time. God is an on-time God and He is looking for those ready to change their lives. We must walk in the Spirit to be lead to those people and help see their lives changed!

  19. From the Message version: “Our work as God’s servants gets validated—or not—in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post…”

Our work is validated, or it is proven deficient. Where do I stand? He approves me, I am His child. Because I am His — adopted into His royal family — He sees me through eyes of grace. He chose me before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. He knows I fall short of this perfect standard in my daily living. Of course, He does not endorse everything I do (or fail to do). Still, He approves of me — my true self, the one He created me to be.

  20. 1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

Don’t start out on this journey only to turn back to the world. That would be receiving his grace in vain if you were to end up lost after being a child of God. If we fall or fail we have the chance to repent and get back up and go again. His is for us and did give us the Holy Ghost to be lost.

  21. We give no opportunity for stumbling to anyone, so that the ministry will not be blamed. But as God’s ministers, we commend ourselves in everything: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardship, by difficulties, by beatings, by imprisonments, by riots, by labors, by sleepless nights, by times of hunger, by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the message of truth, by the power of God; through weapons of righteousness on the right hand and the left, through glory and dishonor, through slander and good report; as deceivers yet true; as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look — we live; as being disciplined yet not killed; as grieving yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing yet possessing everything.
    2 Corinthians 6:3‭-‬10 HCSB

As I was reading this; it started to remind me of a lifestyle that I lived. There has been a huge change in how I live now to 3yrs ago. I went from being dead to being alive. Why then have I felt the need to run. I’ll tell you: it was fear that I was an unbeliever among believers. They say fake it till you make it: that’s not me. I’d rather be truthful with myself. If I’m not serving God 100%; then I can’t serve Him at all. I know where my struggle is and what needs to happen to fix it. God knows where I’m at and what I need to do. I need to come into Christ with unfeigned love. As it states in verse 6. This is a battle and the devil ain’t gonna win this time. I am putting my feet firmly on the word of God and the devil is defeated. Thank you Jesus for the rescue and for filling my spirit with you.

  22. Working together with Him, we also appeal to you, “Don’t receive God’s grace in vain.”
    2 Corinthians 6:1 HCSB

We give no opportunity for stumbling to anyone, so that the ministry will not be blamed.
    2 Corinthians 6:3 HCSB

Paul is obviously concerned about the spiritual state of the Church of Corinth. These would be ridiculous comments if the “once saved always saved” doctrine was true. However, Paul feels the need to admonish these believers that they not stumble. He goes through a list of things that they should endure and be prepared for that the apostles had exampled for them, so that they would not be weak and fall in times of trial. Then, he addresses what he feels is the cause of their withdrawing from him: they have attached themselves closely to unbelievers who are affecting their faith and their walk with God.

We cannot allow hardships, persecution, or other relationships to distract us from our walk with God. We must guard our faith carefully. We must encourage ourselves in the Lord, and stay away from those who would try to talk us out of what we believe. Faith is a fight then we must continuously fight to maintain. We cannot allow ourselves to stumble when the Lord’s coming is so near.

  23. 3 We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry.

Leaders surrender privileges. In times of just and in times of unjust. Leaders have to DAILY choose to live in such a way that no one will stumble, it’s a choice. Not one made for us. It’s simple obedience to God’s Word. There isn’t a “Get out of Jail Free” Card, or a certain title that will enable you to do as you please.

I pray we allow God to direct our paths in such a way that enable us to shine His Love not cause others to stumble.

  24. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

To be separate ……… not just at church but in everywhere, everything said, everything we ALLOW our eyes to see. But live it not just speak it. …….. not to be just hearers of the WORD, but to be doers as well…… HALELUJAH!!! Let us be doers of your word JESUS and in all things give you praise!!!

  25. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

After I had been baptized filled with the Holy Ghost this is the scripture that really helped me come into a place of separation and holiness. To put away the things of the world that I was so attached to and to fill those voids with His Most Excellent Presence. And even guiding my children when the world wars for their minds and hearts… It’s not always easy to be separate when you still have to engage and the world around you. But even as women are called to a place of Covenant and holiness with hair and long dress we become a walking testimony of our love affair with the Most Holy One, the One True Living God whereas the world with its lack of modesty shows a perverted affair with temptation, lust, and deceit.

  26. “Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”
    ‭‭2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This verse gave me a mental picture of two people being tied together. In a way it’s like the game kids play when they tie their shoelaces together. They have to work together to get things done. If not they will trip each other up. It is the same in this case. If one person is Kingdom minded and the other is of this world they will not get very far.

  27. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

These scriptures tell us not to yoke our selves with the nonbelievers of this world. We have to become separated from then so that we are not infected by the false doctrine, the agnostic and atheistic mind frames of those that will mock us and try to persuade us to leave what we believe. Even though it may get rough to hold on we have to hold fast to the unchanging hand of God. Let him anchor us in to this foundation. For our hope is in him.

    I love the Kingdom!

  28. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Sometimes it’s hard to comprehend , that my new life means doing what is right in the eyes of God, I have so many people in my life that I love, but there are some that pour spiritual things in my life, others that are stuck in one type of lifestyle, others that are negative and want me to be negative with them, I have to protect my Holy Ghost, I don’t want to become discouraged or anything like that, so I can’t surround myself with that type of influence unless I am sharing Gods word, praying for them, or teaching a bible study.

We must be different in who we are. We are the Children of God, so we are expected to act differently. Not that it’s a bad thing. We should be leaders in our communities, that actually leads others. God has called each of us for q specific reason and purpose. Thank you Jesus that you have called me.

  31. 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said; I will dwell in them, and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Therefore, come out from among them and be seperate, says the Lord, do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

  32. This is a familiar passage of scripture, and often quoted as an imperative of our separation from the world. ‘And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.’

Paul had just spoken of the need to marry those of like-minded faith and is now going further into our personal walk with God. Just as we separate ourselves in marriage from those still in the world, our own relationship with God is based upon that same principle of separation. Note his threshold for that personal separation from sin is ‘touch not’. Don’t even get close to it… avoid even the appearance of evil in our life.

Separation is not something that comes and goes in our walk depending on who we’re with or what we’re doing. It is expected to be so strong a facet of our relationship with God that we have no longer have a desire to even touch, to even come close, to even appear to be attracted to those things God desires to be removed from our lives. We are the temple of the living God and his desire is to have the liberty to dwell and walk in us!

  33. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

  34. “we put no obstruction in anyone’s path, so that the ministry will not be discredited, but we commend ourselves in every way as servants of God: in great endurance, in sufferings, in hardships, in distresses,”
    ‭‭2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Before we can lead others, we must first lead ourselves! If not, we will only be a stumbling block.

Be a stepping stool and not a stumbling block.

  35. God is Telling me the word of Truth , of Not lying but telling the Truth to the Lord Jesus Himself. So Jesus God Lord Himself is sitting by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left.

  36. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

If you notice when you are born again you start to change, you change places you’d go, things you’d do, things you’d watch/listen to and people you’d surround yourself with. Sometimes you try to hold on to those people but sometimes they don’t want to change. You can’t continue to surround yourself with things from your past because of the things attached to them will reattach themselves to you. You are to be the light in darkness but if you are the only light you have to be careful because you can be overcome and put out.

  37. 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

  38. We must not concern ourselves with the things that are unclean. As children of the most high God, we must focus on the father. Obeying his word is how were going to get to heaven. It is his word that keeps us clean. Let us lay aside every sin and weight.

  39. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Today is the day of salvation. No time to lose and no time to waste. Teach us to number our days Lord that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. We cannot waste time but with urgency share this message of the gospel.

  40. 2For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Everyday that we are alive we are living by the grace of God. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us so we must be repentant and walk with a repentant heart everyday. If you don’t know Him as the God of your salvation it’s time.

  41. 3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

This can be were the term ‘church hurt’ may come from. When a minister causes offense to someone, they turn people off from coming back to church. This is a stumbling block to believers and hinders their growth. If we cannot trust the leadership, and ministers then who can we trust? This is why Paul warns ministers to take caution not to offend others anywhere we go, because when they know who we represent it turns them off to the Apostolic doctrine.

This is why he gives avenues to keep from offense by focusing on what is most important. Like the fruits of the spirit we will show what we are made of by how we handle situations, Jesus’ way and not our own.

  42. How can Christ be friends with the devil exactly they can’t that’s why you shouldn’t team up with ungodly people

  43. [2Co 6:14-16 NLT] 14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

The prophet Amos asked a similar question when he said:
[Amo 3:3 KJV] 3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? The answer is no they cannot walk together because they are two very different paths. The benefits of walking with God and keeping oneself pure far outweigh any temporary benefit of wrong associations. Having God on your side, walking with you, fighting for you and caring for you is unrivaled!

  44. “Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.”(‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Paul, explains how God wants us to rise up and step out from the system of the world. Obstaining from sin will deem us acceptable to be welcomed by the Kingdom of God. God says if we don’t touch any dead thing then we are clean. God wants us to live for him and receive eternal life. Not play with deadly sins of the world. Gods call is to come out of darkness and into his marvelous light.

  45. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

All too often we, or at least I used to, have the thought that we can save everyone in the world, we just cannot be afraid of going to them and bringing them to church. Right here we see, that we cannot hang out with the world, because we will fall. Inviting them is one thing, but hanging with them is another.

  46. 2Corinthians 6
Perhaps the pastoral and ministrational staff might say that to us:
11b) our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. 13) Now for a recompense in the same,…….be ye also enlarged.

    Verses 16 -18 are beautiful!

  47. As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.

Amen God does so many things for us and we don’t even realize it at times. This is why we should always be grateful daily for God letting us wake up another day. We could be in so many places but by the grace of God we know the truth about salvation.

  48. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

The answer to the question is nothing! Light has no communion with darkness.

Actually to put things into perspective, darkness flees when light enters.

  49. 1 As God’s partners,a we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. 2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.”Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

So many put of their salvation from God, believing there is tomorrow. They take a chance that tomorrow will come, and then repent. But tomorrow may never come, and they fall short of entering heaven. We have to realize the time is today/now to repent! Don’t delay, and just do it–repent and be baptized in Jesus name.
