2 Corinthians 12

It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.

12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

13 For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.

14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

16 But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?

18 I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?

19 Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

  1. …I will not burden you, for I am not seeking what is yours, but you…I will most gladly spend and be spent for you…
    2 Corinthians 12:14‭-‬15 HCSB

No selfishness here. This the heart of a true servant of Christ, because it is the heart of the Master—a heart that puts the eternal good of others before the temporal good of self.

One who seeks souls will be far wealthier in the end than one who seeks riches, and the one who spends and is spent for the Kingdom will inherit a crown of righteousness that shall not fade away. We can invest in nothing greater than a soul, and souls are the only thing we can invest in and take with us.

So we must decide: What will we be spent on today? First, the Kingdom!

  2. Verses 9-10 AMP “but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].”

Psalm 28:7 AMP “The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.” Same verse VOICE “The Eternal is the source of my strength and the shield that guards me. When I learn to rest and truly trust Him, He sends His help. This is why my heart is singing! I open my mouth to praise Him, and thankfulness rises as song.”

  3. 9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
    Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilled.

    Grace, grace, God’s grace,
    Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
    Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!

  4. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

No matter the trials and tribulations, the one thing that I have learned, God’s Grace is afresh every morning that I arise out of bed and start my day. Every circumstance that I deal with, God’s Grace is there. Scripture says that his grace is sufficient for anyone that serves him. Even when we did not deserve his grace, he blessed us. Even when we were yet sinners when Jesus died for us. The unmerited favor of God. Thank you Jesus that you show us that you sit upon the throne of grace and not the throne of judgement. The beauty of this grace it is free for whom so ever will. As long as we seek first the kingdom.

    I love the Kingdom!

  5. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

We need to always wait on the Lord for strength and allow is fruit to bear in us. I believe the true definition of humility gets grounded in knowing who you are in Christ and knowing who you would be without him. I think it’s important that we acknowledge our weaknesses and let God receive glory for them so that is where he can be strongest in our lives. And understanding that the fruit or bear the seed that God plants inside of us and it will be shown to all men so that God may receive Glory

  6. 11 Corinthians 12’

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

We must realize in our most weakest moments of life, the most loneliest times the most times if desperation God becomes magnified. We are weak yet His power that has been given through his death burial and resurrection becomes the strength we did not realize we had. He takes over He says I have given you power to tread upon

    Luke 10:19
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you

Yes He becomes my strength in the middle of weakest moments of life without Him I am nothing.
Don’t give up don’t give in . Satan’s desire is that we become weak so that he can take control but if you will just remind Satan that in your weakest moments that is when God becomes the strongest. We have to allow Gods power to operate in our life through every obstacle every trial and heartache and unfulfilled dreams. God is stronger than any weakness we have. Allow His strength to lift you up to hold you in the midst of each adversity and He will overcome the enemy.
A song justcane to mind Shake Yourself Loose everything that binds you up. Who told you you can’t make it .Praise God like it is your last chance God will become the strength and the enemy will have to run.
God can be in control if you let Him Be . In Jesus name. His strength becomes perfect ….

  7. Three times I begged the Lord to make this suffering go away. But he replied, “My gift of undeserved grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am.
    2 Corinthians 12:8‭-‬9 CEV
One of the hardest trial as a an adult that i have faced in my life is the loss of a child. It’s been about 4 or 5 years since. There has been many sleepless nights. And believe me that the mind can lose itself if you allow to. Through it all i’ve seeked the face of GOD…. and His grace only by His grace i am where i am today!!! I am blessed, i am thanjful, and only do i give him all the GLORY and honor to His Holy, Righteous name❤❤❤❤

  8. 2 Corinthians 12 :9 (Amp) But He said to me , My grace ( My favor and loving – kindness and mercy) is enough for you ( sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully; for My strength and power are made perfect ( fulfilled and completed) and show them- selves most effective in [ your] weakness. Therefore , I will all the more gladly glory in my weakness and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ
( the Messiah) may rest ( yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell upon me ! Here , I Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy on me and be gracious to me and answer me. With my mouth I will praise you and I will sing praises to you. I will offer you sacrifices and shouting joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

  9. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

I have heard preaching about if you have a cold or the flu that it is your fault because your faith is too weak to rebuke the sickness or get your healing or miracle. Paul teaches here that sometimes it is God allowing that infirmity to keep you humble and down to earth. If you glory in yourself and be lifted up then you take the part of Satan himself. I do not want to be sick and I pray that stuff off myself and anyone else but I will not accuse someone of being faithless or having week faith while they are sick. I will however look for the opportunity to witness because the promise is when I am weak, he is strong. The word says it rains on the just and the unjust so sometimes it is just being a human being that has a destiny for the grave. Our bodies are not meant to live forever, not after Adam and Eves curse. so when we are not feeling 100% the thing to do is thank God for the opportunity to serve him through it. People are watching to see how we will stand when everything is not perfect. Will we push on and get it done anyhow? It is a strong testimony to see a man or woman of God push through and say Hallelujah anyhow!

  10. 9 And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecution, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

  11. “Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I’ve heard people use this scripture to justify their bad actions, but that is not what this is saying. God strengthens us when we are weak. When we fail, he strengthens us. When we can’t do it, he strengthens us. When we are at the end of us, he strengthens us. This is why we should brag on him and all he does for us because he strengthens us when we are not enough.

I believe when I very first saw this verse, I thought why won’t God let him remove the thorn, but since then I’ve learned that it’s not literally a thorn! A thorn can have different meanings, the obvious is a pointed wood, or splinter, but also someone can provoke you to irritation, like that prick in your flesh! Alot of times God allows for this to sharpen us, ministry requires us to be in the lives of al I’m different personality types, and to exemplify the love of Christ, we have to put our thoughts feelings, and beliefs about a person in the ground and only focus on the spiritual, it not easy, because more often than not we will find that one personality that clashes with ours, and it’s a matter of humility from that point! I have to remember that alot. because I know me and how easily I personally g have a smart and sarcastic mouth, but God is changing that, and its evident everyday. I find it easier and easier to just shut up. and let God deal with it, I was once in those shoes, hmmm I wonder whose side was I a thorn in!🙂

Even the unfavorable things work to His glory. Recognize them and boast of them because its these things that actually make you better, make you stronger, and bring Him the utmost glory and honor!

  14. iLove the Kingdom
    “Paradise”
‘I was caught up to the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether I was in my body or out of my body, I don’t know—only God knows. Yes, only God knows whether I was in my body or outside my body. But I do know that I was caught up to paradise and heard things so astounding that they cannot be expressed in words, things no human is allowed to tell.’
    2 Corinthians 12:2-4

Paul describes what happened to him right here to the Corinthians from the passage in the book of Acts, ‘And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. ‘
    Acts 14:19-20

You see (in my opinion) while they dragged the lifeless body of Paul out of the city, he entered into the “third heaven” or what he also called “Paradise”. When I looked up the word “paradise” this morning I found out that this place is (by definition) the garden of God. Sound weird or spooky, well it’s not. paradeisos- Of Oriental origin (compare [H6508]); a park, that is, (specifically) an Eden (place of future happiness, “paradise”): – paradise.

In the third heaven (Paradise) we learn the following from Paul:
*It is a real place that folks can go to when they leave their body behind. This confirms the scripture that states, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be (absent from the body), and to be (present with the Lord)”. 2 Corinthians 5:8.

*Paul could not tell whether he was in his body or in the spirit at the time he was there. (see verse:2).

*Paul could hear wonderful things (see verse:4) but he was forbidden to share those things (see verse:4)

Jesus confirms the place called “Paradise” exists when talking to the thief on the cross, ‘And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. ‘ Luke 23:42-43

The Apostle John confirms (through the Words of Jesus) once again that paradise is real in the book of Revelation ‘ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the (paradise) of God.
    Revelation 2:7

  15. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
    9) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
    10) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

“My Grace Is Sufficient For Thee”
God’s grace is sufficient to take us through any and all trials we may face in life.

Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

  16. 7-10 Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.

A constant struggle for me has been the lack of strength to overcome my weaknesses and afflictions. I question God why must these things happen to me? Why, why, why? I want the power to escape these pains, weaknesses and afflictions. However, God provides the strength to endure the pain, weakness and affliction. We are not talking about sin.

Paul is not talking about a kind of behavior; like we might have a weakness for lust; or weakness for overeating. He is not talking about bad choices that we make. I believe what Paul is referring to is the circumstances, situations, experiences and wounds that make us look weak; things we would probably get rid of if we had the human strength. If we were strong we might return an insult, turn back persecution or heal every infirmity and sickness before it brings us to our knees – which is where God wants us in the first place.

These weaknesses are not sins, but experiences, situations, circumstances and wounds that are hard to tolerate and that we can’t remove either because they are beyond our control or because love dictates that we not return evil for evil.

  17. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Until the day my healing comes I will Praise Him and give Him Glory for in my weakness He will forever be my strength!!!!! Hallelujah!!! Thank you Jesus!!!! The Joy of the Lord is my strength!!!!!

  18. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    GLORY IN THE BUFFET MINISTRY

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

The flesh is prone to complain in turbulent or trying times of peril or famine. It has been my experience to learn to locate or define the purpose of the peril, before speaking for or against it.

Here as Paul testifies JESUS used the messenger of satan to assist him in the area of humility. After the 3rd petition, Paul realized that his hardship was a blessing for him and his work in The Kingdom of GOD.

Paul then expresses his attitude in his infirmities.

    1. Gladly. Never adopting a sad or defeated disposition over perils, maintaining an attitude of gratitude and a positive disposition regardless of the hardships.
    2. Glory. Rejoice and be glorify GOD in the midst of, in spite of and as the result of infirmities.
    3. Take Pleasure. Look forward to infirmity, reproach, necessity, persecution and distress. Take pleasure means to consider it an honor or treat to have the opportunity for Christs sake to be tried.

As we seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD we will have opportunity to face opposition from many fronts. The attitude and response we learn from Paul is important to our advancement in The Kingdom of GOD. Be GLAD. Glory in and to GOD. Take PLEASURE in serving.

That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
    2 Corinthians 12:9‭-‬10 NLT
Sometimes it’s hard for people to admit that they need help. We can look in the Bible and see many stories about how God use the broking and used them to do great things . For you to be fix you have to be broken God won’t heal someone thats already healed

  20. 14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

Paul is trying to show the people here his motives: he acts out of love for them, like a parent raising their child. Parents provide, lead by example, teach, and discipline…in love. He assures them he is not after their worldly possessions, he acts out of concern for their soul’s salvation.

  21. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

No matter what your situation is ,God’s Grace is sufficient for thee.

  22. Msg 7-10 Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,

My grace is enough; it’s all you need.
My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift.

None of us are perfect, no not one. Yet we must not focus on what is wrong with ya or what we don’t have and appreciate what God has given us. Likewise none of us are the same. We have all been given unique abilities and gifting a so that girly joined together there is no lack.

We must not focus on what I have or what you have but link up together to accomplish what God desires do that all the glory goes to Him.

  23. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

God is my strength, even in my weakness I lean on Him to be made strong and push through. His grace is enough and can get you through those points that you feel you have nothing left. He’s been my strength in many times of my life and even when I thought I had nothing left He lifted me up. He gave me my testimony and I will always thank Him for that!

  24. Paul’s remarks here sound very much like many of our established missionaries today. ‘Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds. For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you?’

We send forth missionaries to establish greater works in unchurched areas than could be supported by the local believers in faith that they will grow unto a greater body! Those we send are proven and often with solid experience in ministry, or they’ve taken the time to learn under those who do. That mission field is blessed by the larger church and God provides the increase of their labor of love! The missionaries aren’t a financial burden, but their intent is to raise up local leadership that is supported by the local church, who also shares their desire to send out laborers into their local harvest. It’s like spiritual seed money that is invested with the expectation of powerful testimonies to come!

We are blessed at the POFW with the ability to support a fair number of our missionaries and continue to rejoice with each of their testimonies! We should always remember to pray for them as we share their burden to reach the lost!

  25. “but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough–always available–regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].”
    ‭‭2 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭12:9-10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Paul looked beyond the weakness and the pain to the blessings that God was bringing into his life, for it was that weakness and pain that caused him to stay close to God that he might experience His strength.

Affliction is often the time of our greatest spiritual growth. For It is in our weakness that we find His strength.

  26. 9But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Sounds like if you can accept these verse, you are a humble person with no pride. You are willing to put others first and to serve.

  27. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

  28. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

  29. Now I am coming to you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you. I don’t want what you have—I want you. After all, children don’t provide for their parents. Rather, parents provide for their children. I will gladly spend myself and all I have for you, even though it seems that the more I love you, the less you love me.
    2 Corinthians 12:14‭-‬15 NLT

Paul sounds like Jesus here:. I don’t want what you have, I want you! Not only that but I will gladly spend myself and all that I have for you ! Yep that’s Jesus alright!

  30. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Paul had a need a trial in his life that he prayed to God to deliver him from but every time he asked God said my grace in sufficient. What ever the trial or problem was God was using this to better Paul.
Jesus prayed 3 times that his Heavenly Father would let the cup of pass but he didn’t remove it why because there was a plan in place a calling that needed to be fulfilled. It was only fulfilled when Jesus saw that plan through.
The trial we face today if we pray and God hasn’t removed it from our life then just believe God that there is a purpose for it and ask he to show it to us. Ask for strength.

  31. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

  32. I will gladly spend myself and all I have for you, even though it seems that the more I love you, the less you love me.
    2 Corinthians 12:15 NLT

To Love like God loves. To show the Love of God is not always easy. It is choice, to love. To continue to show Gods love to those who may have hurt you. What do I mean show Gods love? Simply forgiving them. To continue to pray for the salvation of the soul of someone that may not be a friend but rather an enemy to you, that is Gods love. To keep reaching with care and love and keep loving others despite experiencing rejection that is Gods love. It goes beyond our love. If we love Him we will keep his commands. He tells us to love First Him with all our heart mind and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. It is only through God that we can love like He loves and we ought to love what He Loves.

  33. 9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

    The price of strength

What is the price for strength? It is weakness. A blade becomes strong through the fore of the forge. Bone strengthens when it is broken. We first have to become weak in order for God to give us strength. Although not many are willing to give up this fleshly strength for the Godly strength. The price is high, but the rewards of the Godly strength is so much more.

  34. Yes, I am afraid that when I come again, God will humble me in your presence. And I will be grieved because many of you have not given up your old sins. You have not repented of your impurity, sexual immorality, and eagerness for lustful pleasure.
    2 Corinthians 12:21 NLT

Jesus name…what is a Deliverance if we don’t sever ties completely? What is it if we don’t hand the while thing over to God? True surrender comes when every piece of our hearts are put on the altar and we know that what HE can do with it is a whole lot better than what we could play around and try to get accomplished.

  35. 2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

Always be careful putting someone in or out of heaven…

  36. 2Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

  37. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

When I can’t any longer, it’s all Jesus!! I have been through battles, hardships, difficulties that only God has given me the strength to still be here. It’s been very hard at times but I can’t let those things bring me down. At the end Jesus makes a way and even if it’s till the last second that you have he’ll make a way and strengthen us.

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

  38. Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you ; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.
    2 Corinthians 13:5 NLT

Jesus name. Let us hold ourselves against the Word of God daily. Thank you, Jesus for Your double edged sword.

    2 Corinthians 12:6‭-‬9 KJV

As I read the word forbear stood out to me. It is another way of saying refrain from. I know that I should refrain from things of this world. God is who sustains me: not the promises of the world. I don’t care what men think of me anymore. What I care about is what God thinks of me. Man can’t save me, but men can lead me to the choice of salvation or the choice of death. How I follow these men will show me the path that I need to follow and the things that I need to refrain from. I see it everyday; how this world can corrupt an untrained mind. Renew your mind and be refreshed in the Kingdom. Thank you Jesus for strengthening me to withstand this world.

  40. 2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

    That is cool.
I wonder if Paul was taking about John or another man was blessed by God.

5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

Also that despite all that Paul had do and seen he took no glory of himself of the actions and the miracles and the churches started. But only in his infirmities. Paul must have been a humble man of God.
