2 Timothy 2
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9 Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
The POFW Daily Bible Reading

We are soldiers of Christ and we cannot get so caught up in the day to day struggles of life that it hinders us from doing what HE has enlisted (called) us to do. We must put our heavenly duties first, so that we will please HIM.
11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
We must die out to the things of this world even as CHRIST died for us, so that we may be alive in HIM as he also is alive forever more.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
As for the goal of ministering/witnessing to others, we should commit to memory a scriptural dialogue that supports our faith (which is also admonished in verse 2 as applicable to exhorting our fellow breathern). Moreover, as verse 16/23 mentions profane and vain babblings, foolish and unlearned questions; having a scriptual answer will fully equip us to fulfill the mandate of being apt to teach, which is expressed in verse 24.

What does it mean for me to endure; well I know that to make it to the eternal life I have to endure the things of this world. I have to endure this flesh, but most importantly i have to endure myself. For i know that when my mind isn’t right the world creeps in. God knows what to do in those situations; and He will put me on the spot in a test. It is how i handle the test that matters. Human nature is to turn to the things and people of the world. Christian nature should be to turn to the word and leaders of the church. Most important turn to prayer. We must show ourselves approved through study and works. Thank you Jesus for giving us your word to live by and filling our minds with spiritual things and clearing it of the world.

I hear or have heard where people would say, what if Jesus already came back, I used to think to myself hes been coming back since 88? When we dont understand the word of God its is so evident in statements or thoughts that we dont think are relevant at the time, and we might even think that the things we say dont impact someone. but it may, because when you do come to the truth, and you try to share the truth, they remember what you said. they tell you what you said, and all I can do is say, well I didn’t know what I was talking about, but at that point they dont wanna know. Gods foundation it’s a surething, his word was established throughout generation to generation, we he is the same God he has always been from the word of spoken in darkness at the time of creation, to 1/19/2019 and he will be the same tomorrow, I’m thankful that everyday, I get a new pair of shoes, Grace and Mercy, Thank you Jesus for your Grace and Mercy that isn’t earned but given freely, help me to be a good stewardt and not misuse it!

Verses 20-26 MSG “In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets—some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage. Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing. Run away from infantile indulgence. Run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God’s servant must not be argumentative, but a gentle listener and a teacher who keeps cool, working firmly but patiently with those who refuse to obey. You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil’s trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his errands.” Let us be the kind of container God can use as stated above. We must continue to be that open vessel that keeps sharing even if it seems like no one is receiving it. We may not see the big picture; but, the Lord is working and drawing them closer to Him. Stay faithful, be strong, and be a good/loyal soldier of Christ Jesus always reaching for the lost; as today may be the day they turn to the truth.

Simple enough. Know Him, love Him, be faithful to Him, seek Him, and be willing to suffer for Him. My God is more than worthy of all of these things!
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

This scripture speaks for those that call themselves ministers of the Gospel. We all have to be knowledgeable of the word of God. How would it appear to those that we are called to be witnesses of Jesus if we know not the word. We need not to be ashamed of the Gospel for it is wisdom, knowledge, and most of all its power for to the believer.
If we study to show ourselves approved, we will be prepared to meet the enemy in any situation or circumstance that may come against the church, against our church members, and our families. We must know the battle plan before we can engage the enemy and tear down the strongholds.
Ephesians 6:10-17 states the resources to battle the enemy
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 states
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Seeking first the kingdom will allow us to be obedient to the word and holding fast to the power of God while reaching the lost of this world. Continue in this day and hour to prove God that we are willing to endure to the end and reap our eternal rewards.

God has many witnesses and god is strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus
11. It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

He abideth faithful.
Men come and go, are in and out, up and down; but God is steadily, constantly, eternally faithful.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
People come from every walk of life. Many are very opinionated. I pray as we all reach to the world we will study the word and know it . I pray that as we late lanoare laborers together we are gentle and patient. This world had no patience and gentleness is a word without any definition but through the grace of God we can reach and teach and serve as the word commands with authority but with gentleness and patience. Lord help me to cultivate your attributes daily into my life.
Dealing with self and dealing with others let us seek forgiveness before You to teach with your love. In Jesus name.

2 Timothy 2:15-26 NLT
Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. This kind of talk spreads like cancer, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus. They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith. But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.” In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

Set a good foundation and build a strong house for God’s spirit to dwell in. Fill yourself with vessels that honor. We want to be used by the Master. Above all anything we do or when we call on God do it with a pure heart and selfless intentions. More of Him and less of me. When you are selfless and doing work for the Kingdom, God will honor that. When we study to show ourselves approved and sharpen our talents and skills for God’s gain and not our own agenda He will truly bless that.

The command to put them in remembrance means to remind them of these truths. The command to study means “give diligence and be zealous.” It involves a total effort of mind, emotion, and will. Rightly dividing the word of truth. The apostle appeals for effort to be made to properly interpret the Word of God.
Work for God’s approval which is putting the KINGDOM FIRST.

simple instructions for being holy. And world that gets confused about their own gender and the rolls at they are supposed to play the Bible does excess to avoid vain arguments and flee from things that do not bring us peace. If we are to follow the Lord with a pure heart we must rid ourselves of things from our flesh that do not satisfy our Christ

“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”
PASS IT ON! (Be A Leader Training The Next Leader)
The things Paul has taught, he wants Timothy to “Pass IT ON” to trustworthy people, and these trustworthy people are to “PASS IT ON” to others.
What is he to “PASS ON? God’s Word, the truth of the gospel, faith, etc…
We have been taught, now we must “PASS IT ON” to the next trustworthy people who will “PASS IT ON” to others.
As I told my class last Sunday (6-8 yrs. old), you are not here just to hear a Bible Story, but you are here to learn and grow in God’s Word and know the plan of salvation. Then you can take it and “PASS IT ON” with others.
Our lesson this Sunday is Paul “PASSING IT ON” to Aquilla & Priscilla, and Aquilla & Priscilla “PASSING IT ON” to Apollos (they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly), and Apollos “PASSED IT ON” to others (For he mightly convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.)
PASS IT ON!!
10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
As we walk with Christ there are many things that we will endure for the sake of others. We must be good soldiers knowing that our efforts are for the good of the Kingdom and not for selfish gain.
“Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.”
2 Timothy 2:26 NLT
Take the opportunity to share your testimony today and how God opened the doors for you to make a way of escape from the bondage of this world. FIRST THE KINGDOM
STUDY FIRST
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Kingdom of GOD Is that, HIS way of operation, administration and delegation. JESUS has given us HIS Kingdom Operation Manual The BIBLE to learn how to operate and fulfill HIS Kingdom while here on earth. We know and understand that HIS Kingdom is not of this world, because HE said such. Therefore it is important that we learn how and what to do to operate in HIS Kingdom.
Seeking FIRST The Kingdom of GOD is the path to proper and holy conversation. When we seek FIRST His Kingdom we will study and learn these principals, avoiding the confusing jibber and gossip that is in this world.
If we approach our walk with GOD with this principal in mind of being approved unto GOD then we have no choice but to SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM. I must obtain HIS approval prior to doing, going, teaching and or preaching HIS Word. Avoiding vain babbling.

2 Timothy 2:2 And the [ instructions] which you have heard from me along with many witnesses and transmit and entrust [ as a deposit] to reliable and faithful men and women who will be compentent and qualified to teach others also.
” First the Kingdom” It’s take alot of studying to be a leader . To be submissive and obedient to Lord and others. It’s is the hard-working farmer [ who labor’s to produce] who must be the first partaker of the first fruits. So pass on to others what you have learn about Jesus Christ. Be a servant in all areas. Step and a leader today !
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

If someone opposes the apostolic doctrine, we don’t argue, rather allow the Lord to bring scripture to your mind to give an answer and teach. Encourage them to read and search for themselves through the book of Acts for salvation and be ready to teach one God vs trinity. Give them small increments at a time or they will be overwhelmed and could end up rejecting the truth.
However we choose to treat God is the was he will treat us, but our God is all great and mighty. The lord our God knows what we have been doing so we should make good choices and he will treat you the same way. We have to bring the lost to God so they can fulfill his promise to them, his people should pause him for he is all great and all mighty.

Paul is putting the Kingdom first by establishing Bible Study teachers. Paul is letting Timothy know he needs to follow the example that he heard and saw in the life of himself and to teach others as well. This is the reason why the POFW has been so blessed as of late. Bible Study numbers have gone off the chart. I pray that each one of us at POFW would get the revelation of multiplication through Bible Studies. The Word of God is Light and when we take the Light into a dark house God can reveal the change needed. In Jesus Name.

Wheat and Tate’s grow together however we can’t focus on that. We must nurture the wheat and allow God to do the winnowing in due season so that the crop is not destroyed . Not everyone that professes truth believes it or lives it but God alone is the judge. We must do our part to ensure we are a vessel of honor and allow God to deal with the vessels of dishonor.
A vessel that the Master Can Use

Can the Master Use you? I was just talking with a friend of mine about this very thing; being a vessel that God can use. A potter can make many different types of ceramics, used for various purposes. And he hopes that some one will use what he made. In any type of forging, there are the “every day” products, and then there are the “Special Edition” products. What, then, is the Master looking for? If we get so caught up, in the gold, silver, wood and earth, of this world, what good are we to the Master? Even the Master has a wash bowl for washing of the feet. To even be considered by the Master to be used by Him is a great honor. But we must prepare ourselves, by not focusing on things of this world, but His Kingdom. We are all still works in progress, however, we can be used by the Master. His Kingdom MUST be First, for we are vessels of Honor.

We should also stand firm in the word of God so than nothing will separate us from God.
Think over the things I am saying [grasp their application], for the Lord will grant you insight and understanding in everything…
Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth…
…God may grant that they will repent and be led to the knowledge of the truth [accurately understanding and welcoming it],

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

We have no excuse for not knowing and being able to accurately share the truth. The truth is made available to all who seek and study with a repentant heart. Moreover, it’s God’s will that all men know the truth, and He has given us His Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth. Since we can freely ask when we don’t understand, and God promises to grant us insight and understanding in everything, what excuse can we give for not knowing at least the basic truths of the Word of God?
The only reasons I can see, therefore, for us to be deceived are as follows:
* We are too unconcerned to ask for God’s wisdom and understanding;
* We are too lazy to pray, study, and wait on the Lord;
* We are too enamored with our own reputations and/or positions to stand against the popular opinions and doctrines of this world; or
* We love darkness rather than light because our deeds are evil.
Let’s get in the Book; truth, revelation, and understanding await us!

We must always be students who study the Word. We can never get too much of God’s Word in us. The more it becomes a part of our lifestyle, the greater our reward will be. We will all be judged by the Word. The Word is the only thing that will remain; everything else is wood, hay, and stubble. We should be students of the Word because it pleases God, and not just to preach, teach, or get a license. We should also study the Word because It is The Book which tells us how to be saved and how to live for God. There is no greater investment of your time and energy–unless, of course, you are sharing the Word with others.
“Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules.”
2 Timothy 2:4-5 NLT
A navy seal said one time in their book.
“If your willing give up everything you already lost.”
When your in battle it’s you vs the enemy. You have to be persuaded to give up everything to live with in the next 5 minutes. How much are you willing to fight.
Just like the gospel. You have to be persuaded enough in your mind to preach and live in Christ. So when hard ships come, nothing can stop or bother you.
“And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained.”
2 Timothy 2:9 NLT
How much can your take. Persuaded. Stay the course. Stay on the road. Kingdom minded. You’ll get beat up sometimes. But. Always go forward.
“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” 2 Tim 2:3 KJV
That’s a commandment! Notice it doesn’t say “try to endure” or to run away, God expects us to overcome trials that are ahead of us. Why? Because we can do ALL THINGS through Him.
“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” 2 Tim 2:4 KJV
We need to keep our eyes open and be ready at all times because the enemy can attack us at any moment! “Watch and pray, that ye not enter into temptation, the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” 1 Thess. 4:3. If we miss a day where we don’t pray or read the Word, it’s like not eating in an entire day, and we’ll be weak! Moreover, if the enemy tries to attack us in a weak state, we will fail to endure.
Watch and pray, be vigilant, be ready!
15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
The 4 letter word 😱 💥 WORK!!! 💥 When I was at a dead church I used to question myself “if we have the so called truth? Why don’t we do anything about it?” “If we say we have the power of Jesus, and that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever? Why do we do nothing?” I would always ask myself these question and that is what led us out of that dead church. My family and I were dying spiritually and were so hungry for a move of God. We hadn’t spoken in tongues in like years and never knew how important it was to receive it everyday!!! Coming to POFW has showed me the true meaning of being a true Apostolic Pentecostal Christian. When you have that fire 🔥 you can’t be on neutral mode and just sit and do nothing but the HG is what drives you to work and do something for His Kingdom. I don’t want to go to judgment and Him not know who I am but tell me “well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Sometimes it can be so easy to “act properly” or live by “WWJD” but we often times forget to speak life with our words. What are righteous acts if we counter act them with words that do not encourage life…they mean nothing.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
This can be a hard lesson to learn, when not to argue. There are times debating someone is not worth it. Sometimes it is better to just be silent then to continue an argument, especially if It is for your own pride to prove you are right. We need to know when it is worth the debate or whether it is just going to create strife and fighting.

19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are his,”b and “All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil.”
We all belong to Jesus, but only those who have accepted him a savior are truly his. If you belong to the Lord’s army, then we should act like it. Serve, praise and worship God at all times. The military are on duty 24 hours a day, so should we be with God also.
“This is a faithful and trustworthy saying: If we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He will also deny us; If we are faithless, He remains faithful [true to His word and His righteous character], for He cannot deny Himself.”
2 TIMOTHY 2:11-13 AMP
The reward for remaining faithful and enduring to the end is much greater than what one would gain from quitting.
Deny Him and you will be denied. Receive Him and you will be received.
Yet if one does fall away from the truth, it will not change how faithful God is. “All the faithlessness of man doesn’t disprove the faithfulness of God.” He remains the same!
Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.

Our lives are to be a testimony to those around us! We are to be wise as serpents, but gentle as doves!
“Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”

I must know him not just know about him but truly know him because if i truly know him I will not question who he is or if he will watch over me.

I must always be reevaluating my life and where I am in him and make sure he knows me. one way to do that is put on him. in action, words, through our character. I must have his character in my life. This is how I will not deny him to others when they can see him in me.
Matthew 10: 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.
I want him to say come on in and live forever.

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Paul sets a high standard for ministry. Speaking of character issues, he draws images of soldiers, athletes, farmers, and clean vessels (2Tim 2:3-6,21). By way of warning, he talks of disciples who have aborted their own ministries (vs 17-18). Paul calls Timothy to diligence as a worker or laborer. As a laborer Timothy’s primary task is to handle the Scriptures carefully and correctly. To “correctly handle” means to “cut straight.” Paul’s message is clear: Be diligent to use Gods Word carefully and well in ministry; then we will not be ashamed when we stand before Him.

Gods Word is so strong and powerful like a sledge hammer. (“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”(Hebrews 4:12). His Word is our foundation that gives us strength to stand firm like a rock and is our protection from evil.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
You can get consumed by this world and forget the things of Gods kingdom so quick… Don’t loose focus of Gods Kingdom. Today my blog streak was broke by my undisciplined actions, I did not faithfully commit myself on Jan 18 and blog. In our walks with Jesus sometimes we’re gonna mess up and fall, but we have to get straight back up agin and keep moving!

The Lord knows the intention of the heart. Guard your heart from evil don’t allow temptation to creep in.

It takes time to consume and digest. There is a need to spend time and meditate and in many other instances break down the meaning just to be able to understand the truth and the Word of God. Study is a verb that requires diligent action.

Literally the purpose of this blog. Study and read His Word. This proves our devotion to Him. This proves where our heart lies. It proves to Him we want to be the change and the difference.

Why shouldn’t be ashamed of where we stand With a relationship with Him.
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:7 KJV
You can be ever learning and not discover the truth, because you are a hearer of the Word and not a doer. Yesterday, I blogged about being a student of the Word, but emphasized that it must be a part of our lifestyle. The Word must become flesh in us, and we do that by hiding it in our hearts and living what we believe. We do what we do because it is written in His Word.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
The foundation of God is firm and steady it doesn’t shift or sink. It doesn’t break when it’s shook. It’s everlasting and gives power to all who stand on it. The Lord chose me. I am his child and as long as I call him my father as long as I focus on him all my transgression, anxiety, hopelessness, pain, weakness, etc… will depart from me.
