2 Timothy 3

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

  1. This chapter breaks several things down, but be sure to feed your spirit with his word. Sow the word like multiple seeds, and expect growth and an harvest in due season. Receive Jesus/Word in your hearts richly to show yourself approved!

  2. Verses 14-17 MSG “But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.” It is all about the Word and keeping the message alive as these verses are captioned. We must continue seeking after Christ Jesus and have an open spirit to continue to grow, be taught and take correction in stride.

    Proverbs 3:6 AMP “In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
    And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].”

    Proverbs 3:11-12 AMP “My son, do not reject or take lightly the discipline of the Lord [learn from your mistakes and the testing that comes from His correction through discipline]; Nor despise His rebuke, For those whom the Lord loves He corrects,
    Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.”

    In the world we live in today everyone is right and no one is wrong. Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. everyone has something to say just on on Facebook, Instagram or just the internet. we must be careful of what we say because we will be judge for every word spoken Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

    In this passage Paul goes through a list of things that will show us we are living in the last days. it deceives the days we live in. foolish teachers and preachers. we must stay on guard because they will try to come into our homes Verse 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, they enemy dose not openly attack us its a soft attack, its starts questioning the things on God. if we allow it to creep into our homes, lives we will be taken captive by them who Paul is talking about in verse 2-5 having the form of godliness, but that’s all.
    you say whats wrong with letting them in I can help them. the reason we should not allow that sprite in is because it will began to wiaght us down take hold of us. there is a song that says its a slow fade. a slow move away from God. Proverbs 20:23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
    being weighted down by this world is not what God wants. we should cast our burdens upon him.
    to lets remember the times we live in and thank God for a Godly Pastor who will preach and teach the word to us. That will not weight us down but help us get free from the cares of this world.

  4. 14But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 15You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. (NLT)

    Paul’s statement to Timothy is the same one that should constantly be preach during this end time or as Paul states perilous times will come. I believe we are in the midst of these times. We have to remain faithful like he was telling Timothy. We have to remain true to the scriptures of the truth. Allowing the Holy Ghost to convict us when we don’t do what is right. Pray for direction and guidance through the deceitful ways of the world. In this end time there are going to be false doctrines and watered down theologybthat we are going to have to confront. We are required to study and show ourselves approved. God is going to take his church out of this world, as long as we seek first the kingdom of God then I know we won’t have anything to worry about except to be ready for that call.

    This world is not my home I’m just a passing through
    My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
    The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door
    And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore

    I love the Kingdom!

  5. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away

    We have never lived at a time closer description. Decades we’ve had bits and pieces of this prophetic word but it seems like everything Paul was telling Timothy here is coming to fruition. Paul his telling Timothy to be watchful and do not associate with people that are part of this I think the advice is directed towards us just as much. There’s never been a more crucial time to be separated from the things of this world

  6. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
    2 Timothy 3:5 KJV

    I love how Pastor said last night that our fruit or lack of it will be evident, and then bam I read this passage today and this verse stuck out like crazy, it’s easy to pretend. it’s easy to wear a skirt and go with the flow, but I know how hard it is to keep up the act! The Holy Ghost is a strong force, hes God spirit, God knows your faking, and every step you take you hear a reminder of what your doing, a conviction, and you cant praise Like you did before you dont go to the Alter. your arms feel like weights, and instead of putting Pride and Self to the side and just letting it all go. You hold on. and then you do this over and over until the inevitable happens, we can be the best dressed person up in the Church and just dead in the Inside. we can be at our post , smiling but completely broken inside, a form of something is someone or something that appears to be something they are not, we can fool anybody, but we cant fool God! Power comes from the Holy Ghost, and if we are not living a submissive life. the power is not there, we are operating on our own strength, God is not a God that he has to beg us to serve him, or bribe us, He dont need us, he Loves us but he can use anything to speak to others, Help me Jesus, to lay pride to the side and live in your way, submit to you reguardless how I feel, or what I want. because I need YOU!

    But I’m not a child; I’m an adult. That you may think, but in my Kingdom you are but a mere child. That was me 3 years ago. Nov. 8, 2015 I was reborn into God’s Kingdom and a long journey began for me. Did I know God’s word before I was born again: a little. I knew John:3:16. I heard Acts 2:38, but didn’t really have a clue what it meant. I was in this cloud thinking oh yeah my life is good, but it wasn’t all that good. There was unrest; there was all sorts of spirits surrounding our home and surrounding us. As I began to grow and understand more of His word; I began to see what others were talking about. I was still in somewhat of a wasteland, but I’m here now standing tall in the word of God; strengthening myself daily in His word. Is there still work to be done; oh yeah. But I know that as long as I stay steadfast and continue to study that I’m on the right path and will continue to become the mighty warrior (Krieger: in german) that God is calling me to be. Jesus thank you for calling me out to be one of your warriors.

  8. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    THE KINGS WORDS

    16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    ALL scripture. ALL means ALL just as FIRST means FIRST. My prayer today is that JESUS baptize our minds and spirits with the baptism of honesty. The WORD of GOD is TRUTH and the WORD is GOD.

    How can a believer say they LOVE GOD and not be in passionate love with THE KINGS WORDS? TRUTH is this is where our level of LOVE is revealed, by the attitude and way we approach HIS WORD. ALL means I do not pick and choose what I believe and follow and when I believe and follow it.

    Scripture is DOCTRINE – Absolutes from GOD
    Scripture is CORRECTION – Alignment with GOD
    Scripture is REPROOF – Rebuke or Prick of the heart from GOD
    Scripture is INSTRUCTION – Living in the RIGHTeous ways of GOD (Holiness)

    Chapter 2 instructs us to STUDY and chapter 3 tells us what to STUDY. Fall in LOVE with JESUS today, fall in LOVE with THE KINGS WORDS. Most people who love GOD seek a WORD from GOD. We are privileged to receive a WORD from GOD everyday when we read and spend time with HIM through HIS WORD. Onr HOLY BIBLE.

  9. 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    We have been in the last days for longer than I can accurately quanify. However, we are in the last of the last days, which is expressed in verse 3. As verse 3 states; without natural affection, this can and should be alluded to legalization of gay marriage. Moreover, verse 5 states having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof; which has a correlation with the grow of gay churchs as well as gay bishops ordained in the Episcopal church and other traditional denomiations. A sense of encouragement can be garnered from what we see in the accuracy of scripture’s, and remembering that this falling away from truth is a prerequisite to the Lord’s second coming. Looking toward the second coming of Christ is why we should focus on verse 17, which admonishes us to understand how are good works are part and parcel of striving to be Christ like, which is our characteristic as the bride of Christ.

  10. But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
    2 Timothy 3:14‭-‬17 NLT

    God is so good to us, not only did He give us His Spirit to guide us but He also gave us an instruction manual! How cool is that? All these dead gods that every one seems to love to serve can do nothing for them, but our God can guide us step by step, give us wisdom and understanding, mendus when were broken, heal us when we’re sick, and love us when we’re unlovable. That’s my God!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  11. “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
    ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    The chaos of life can distract us from God and truth,
    It’s the Lord’s power that sustains us and when we rely on Him, we can be sure that we’re on track to achieve His plan for our lives.

  12. 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    When it comes to holiness and godliness all copyrights belong to God. He is the author and finisher of our faith and we must live accordingly. It’s not time to pick and choose what from His Word we will live by but become the full word of God read by all men.

  13. 2. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. NLT

    Could anything describe today’s state of affairs better than that last sentence? People have no respect for other people, marriage, parenthood, Faith, history, law, or even life!

    Revelation 22:
    14. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    15. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

    20. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

  14. 2 Timothy 3:1 (nlt)
    “You should know this Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.”

    In these difficult times we are living in…
    1) We must turn away and stay away from certain people. (vs.5)
    2) When we live godly in Christ Jesus, we are going to suffer persecution.
    3) We must continue in and remain faithful to the things we have been taught.

  15. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
    2 Timothy 3:14 KJV
    Stop putting down what you’ve learned from the word of GOD. Everything we have heard and taught has been directly from the HOLY Ghost, and from Pastor himself. It is to protect and nuture the body of Christ! People take this gospel as of a set of rule ‘that we must do,’ instead of seeing GOD wanting pure relationship with his greatest creation, man himself❤ living in obedience always will bring life not only in the natural but most importantly your spiritual life that will bring to the Saviour!

    … I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
    John 10:10 KJV

  16. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
    15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
    16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
    17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

    Do what you know is right.

    In a world full of diverse temptations, it is easy to get into trouble. There are so many choices we have to make everyday, how can one be sure that all of them are the right ones? For this reason, it is so imperative that we truly make the Kingdom of God first. That is to say that we must look at ourselves and evaluate what we are doing. How are you? Are you doing what you know to be right in the Kingdom? Everyday we choose who we serve. One of my favorite scriptures in is Joshua 24:15And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
    As for me and my house. Joshua made a decision that no matter what happened in life, that him and his family would serve the Lord. He decides to do what he knew was right. So the question is, will you and your house serve the Lord?

  17. 11 Timothy 3’
    13 You’ve been a good apprentice to me, a part of my teaching, my manner of life, direction, faith, steadiness, love, patience, troubles, sufferings—suffering along with me in all the grief I had to put up with in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. And you also well know that God rescued me! Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there’s no getting around it. Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They’re as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse.

    14-17 But don’t let it faze you. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.

    Father thank you for every prayer meeting. Thank you for unity within the body. Thank you for truth and strength. Paul is giving us a warning Times will be rough but we can and will make it. If we hold fast to the teachings if we stay connected to the body.? It’s time to unite and multiply not divide and find fault. Stay close to the word stay close to those who strengthen you. Don’t rebel against accountability to somebyour soul is the most important thing to others they care not if you make it to heaven. Consistently walking with God . We do need one another and will more so as this world continues to leave everything moral and Godly. Hold on to the message keep your eyes focused on the call upon your life. Revival is here and we cannot miss the opportunity to reach someone. We are equipped .

  18. Well, this chapter sure is speaking to our current generation. This is exactly what is going on right now. These truly are the end times.

    7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

    People who have been taught extensively and spend years in Church, but they still argue, because they refuse to accept it, because they enjoy their sinful ways too much.

  19. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

    15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

    I was reminded of the message Pastor preached two Sundays ago
    “Deadly Distractions.” It’s so easy to become distracted these days with cell phones, social media, jobs, family, entertainment etc All of these via for our attention, yet we are instructed to stay focused, keep God first, don’t allow things that have no eternal value to dictate what we do in our lives.

    Take what we have been taught, write it on our hearts, our foreheads, our eyelets etc, must important live it so that others can see that we are doers of the word and not hearers only.

    Stay strong and continue in what we’ve been taught and continue looking to our shepherd to lead us in the truth and keep your faith! Don’t be distracted by those wolves in sheep’s clothing. Be blessed!

  21. 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

    Sunday School is not only necessary but crucial. Of a class of approximately 25 preschoolers on an average Sunday, only around 5 are what you would consider “church children”.

    The scripture states that as a child they knew the scripture, and for some of the children that attend the Sunday School Program at The POFW, that is the only way they are able to hear the Word of God.

    I was reminded recently at how little some of the children know the bible, as I was recapping the lesson from the week before I simply stated that Jesus died on the cross, before I could get another word out, a young fellow in the front began who is not afraid to be verbal, began to get upset that no one had told him, that Jesus had died, wanting to know when and how he died. After calming him, and explaining that Jesus is the KING of kings, and rose on the third day, he was ready to finish the lesson.

    I as a teacher never want to forget that experience, I never want to take for granted the two hours I’m blessed with to share the gospel with children that would otherwise not be able to hear, so that as they grow old they will not depart from it.

    Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

  22. 2 Timothy 3: 1-2 (Amp) But understand this, that in the last days will come ( set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [ hard to deal with and hard to bear], [2] For people will be lovers of self and [ utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [ greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive ( blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents ungrateful, unholy and profane. Paul is warning us what is happing right now ! Don’t let this faze you , stick to your word and be spiritually filled everyday. Pray in the Holy Ghost.

  23. iLove the Kingdom
    6 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    The word “inspiration” comes from the Greek word “theopneustos”
    From G2316 and a presumed derivative of G4154; divinely breathed in: – given by inspiration of God.

    The Word of God is not just a book, but it is the very breath of God. We must not take it lightly or treat it like it’s unimportant. Thank Jesus that we have a Pastor that continues to press us to read this inspired Word (breath) of God.

  24. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

    Knowing the Bible is the word of God we can be assured it is truth. Add to that Pastors who rightly divide the word and encourage us to do the same keeps us on the correct path. I was taught to go read and search the message to 1) know what was preached was what the word taught and 2) reading and reviewing it further put that word in my heart and mind. Then with a trip to the altar, it was much easier to apply it my life and continue to grow in Him. The altar is the most important time after hearing the word no matter how long you have lived for God.

  25. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

    7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

  26. You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! They are the kind who work their way into people’s homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires.
    2 Timothy 3:1‭-‬6 NLT

    Paul couldn’t have better described our day if he was living in it. The love of pleasures and hatred of God and good morals is rampant in our society, and has crept into even most Christian homes through media. It is no longer just television that invites in false doctrines and values; the variety and volume of ungodly voices has exploded through the Internet, video games, music, live streaming, smart phones, etc.

    Moreover, it is not just the women being carried away with lusts and false doctrines, but whole families are being shipwrecked by the constant bombardment of lust, witchcraft, homosexual propaganda, and the like. (While on vacation, we were recently exposed to quite a bit of television viewing, and we were surprised and appalled at how many commercials there were featuring homosexual couples.) These influences no longer have to creep their way in because we freely multiply the open doors to them in our lives. We should be so convicted by we are seeing that we cast it all out, but we love pleasure and vainly believe we can partake without being influenced. We have been taken captive and invited the enemy in to do the same to our children.

  27. “Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?”

    -‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    This reminds me of what Pastor Watts was talking about yesterday after prayer. Who can say they have placed the Kingdom of God first in their life? Can you be honest? God hates lies. If you can’t tell when you’re lying to yourself, you’re deceived.

  28. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
    15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

    Do what you know to do and live for God. People are waiting and watching for example. We must be the light!

  29. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    There are some people that have a form of godliness but there is no power there. The bible says we need to stay away from these people. A lot people can act like they love God but they dont show it through their actions.

  33. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

    Thank goodness there is an instruction manual to life. His word is how we work. It is how we operate. I have never worked more smoothly in my entire life I’m well oiled have a full tank and ready to run laps around satan…

  34. God is able to make us whole. We cannot stray away from God’s word. We must live by the word of God each and every day.

  35. 12Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

    It shouldn’t come as a shock that the wicked will grow and prosper here on earth. Their reward is here, which will all pass away. satan tried to temp Jesus for the kingdoms of the world, but Jesus said unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:10). Jesus owns all of it and the one who struck him down from heaven, to earth. We learn from him that we don’t compromise our faith for convenience or fleshly desires.

    Paul gives an account for all the tough things God’s brought him out of. If God will bring us to something then, he’ll also bring us through it. We won’t be deceived if we listen to our Fathers voice for his sheep know his voice.

  36. “For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.”
    ‭‭

    Don’t disobey note to the kids and people who still have parents

  37. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    You gotta let go of your pride! I’m the name of Jesus!

  38. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
    17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

    When we study to show ourselves approved, we learn the scriptures and Jesus molds us to be more like him.

  39. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

    Soooooo it’s not a piece of cake??? You mean it’s not a walk in the park??? We must not allow discouragement to mess with our emotions because at the end of the day we still want our name written in THE BOOK OF LIFE!!!. I want to get to heaven AND BE ABLE TO STAY THERE AS WELL!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  40. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

    It is the Word and only in it we have instructions for life. There are many inspirational books out there but only the Word of God is alive and pertains to any situation and season of life. It will equip you for life and guide, correct, reproof and instruct. God really wants us to live in victory and He has given us instructions to do so.

  41. 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
    2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    Does this ring a bell for anyone else? This sounds so familiar of this generation. “Lovers of their own selves. . . disobedient to parents. . . False accusers. . . Despisers of those that are good. . . Highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
    12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
    More and more we feel the persecution though the media, talk shows and Hollywood’s ideas of our beliefs.
    4 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
    15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
    16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
    And again a reminder that “If God is for us then who can be against us” (Romans 8:31b, NIV). We’ve learned scriptures and continually read new passages through the blog to fulfill this very passage. To make us wise, for reproductive, for correction and instruction.

  42. …”Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.”
    ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    Through all the craziness in this world it’s so important to get off Facebook and make time for God’s word and get your face in His book so we can be equipped to handle whatever comes our way.

  43. “All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately–behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];”
    ‭‭2 TIMOTHY‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭AMP‬‬
    What a honor and privilege to have God’s Word!! I love the Word of God. It is the lamp to my feet and light to my path. In it is all truth. And the answer to all questions.

  44. 2 Timothy 3:14
    But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them:

    “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:1-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    I can’t help but think about our home bible study lesson when I read this chapter. Bible study brought hope to our home. Bible study that lead my husband to the light of the gospel of truth. I thank God for faithful bible study teachers that go into other people’s homes and share the word so new babies can grow in the kingdom.

  46. 14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

    We all must stay faithful to the Word of God. We know the Word is true, so lets follow it. The Word gives us true life, true healing, true salvation, true blessings, etc.

  47. “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.(‭2 Timothy 3:16 NLT‬)

    I know all scripture in the bible is apart of God and is a inspiration by God. We know “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1 KJV‬). He cares for us so much to teach and show us his truth. He gives revelation to help us realize our down falls and sins we need to repent from. God guides us to what we should be doing right to benefit the kingdom of God.

  48. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

    Holiness brings persecution. They do not harm or offend you but He who called you. So don’t take it personal, it’s the Jesus you represent that offends.

    Live godly, because it will lead you to heaven
