Titus 2

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

  1. Why

    11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    Why do we do what we do? Simply put, it is because we want to please our Heavenly Father. Because we want to be with Him in the end.
    I will put my trust in Him all the days of my life. Sometimes its feels like we cant go on, but He gives us strength. We feel unworthy of what He has done; we are unworthy, that’s why Gods love is so amazing. How does He find it to forgive us?; His grace is sufficient for me.
    John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
    We do the things that we do, because we love Him.

    Because He lives-
    God sent His son, they called Him Jesus;
    He came to love, heal and forgive;
    He lived and died to buy my pardon,
    An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

    Chorus
    Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
    Because He lives, all fear is gone;
    Because I know He holds the future,
    And life is worth the living,
    Just because He lives!

    How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
    And feel the pride and joy he gives;
    But greater still the calm assurance:
    This child can face uncertain days because He Lives!

    Chorus
    Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
    Because He lives, all fear is gone;
    Because I know He holds the future,
    And life is worth the living,
    Just because He lives!

    And then one day, I’ll cross the river,
    I’ll fight life’s final war with pain;
    And then, as death gives way to victory,
    I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives!

    Chorus
    Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
    Because He lives, all fear is gone;
    Because I know He holds the future,
    And life is worth the living,
    Just because He lives!

    First the Kingdom, because He lives, that why we can have hope for our future.

  2. Verses 11-14 NIV “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.” Just say “No”…..not today, not ever satan. In the VOICE version, it explains that “…Paul also challenges Titus to live the truth he teaches. People are drawn toward God, not through bold arguments, but by passionate godliness. We must be passionate about doing the right thing. Our actions tell the story. Our lives are living parables, shouting the mystery of godliness…..”. First the Kingdom!

  3. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    There is hope in living righteousness in a world that no longer stands for morals and ethical living. There is hope for the righteous to be in a world that is full of wickedness and evil. There is hope for the righteous living among the hopelessness of a world that is dying in sin. That Hope is Jesus. There are many things in this world that is not like it once was. I find that no matter how hard I try to make an impact there is always something that will combat my efforts showing love and giving hope for the lost. There is a world full of justifications and excuses that will try to deter my mission of preaching the gospel of Jesus. There are many things that I know that according to the word of God that must take place before the coming of the Lord, but I have to hold fast to the anchor that holds and hold on to the hope that I will see my eternal reward.

    I am truly thankful for the fresh grace and mercy that God gives me every morning that I rise. I was just an old sinner saved by grace and it is going to be the grace that carries me through. God’s Grace is more sufficient than all the silver and gold in this world.

    2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NLT) states-
    16That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits aree being renewed every day. 17For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

    Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound
    That saved a wretch like me
    I once was lost, but now am found
    T’was blind but now I see
    T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear
    And Grace, my fears relieved
    How precious did that grace appear
    The hour I first believed
    Through many dangers, toils and snares
    We have already come.
    T’was grace that brought us safe thus far
    And grace will lead us home,
    And grace will lead us home
    Amazing grace, Howe Sweet the sound
    That saved a wretch like me
    I once was lost but now am found
    T’was blind but now I see
    Was blind, but now I see.

    Thank God for the hope he gives us through grace.

    I live the Kingdom!

  4. 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
    15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

    there’s a fine line between walking with arrogance and walking and confidence. Walking with confidence is know inside what God is put inside of you to do and you rely on him for it while Arrogance is thinking you can’t fail because it all falls on you. Paul gives us instruction to walk with confidence knowing what God has called us to do. We promote the gospel more effectively as we walk in that confidence. Confidence that the Holy Ghost had annointed you for the call

  5. 1. As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.

    7. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. NLT

    Simply put, just practice what you preach.

  6. Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.
    Titus 2:2 NLT

    We were always taught to respect our elders, but I have certainly met some that were harder to respect fully than others just because of rudeness or tasteless talk. But we are always learning and growing, it doesn’t matter how old we are. God instructs the older men through Paul as much as He does the younger men.

  7. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    Don’t loose sight with temptations, live for our saviour Jesus Christ.

  8. 2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine incorrupness, gravity sincerity.
    ——-

  9. Titus 2:5 -6 [Amp] To be self- controlled, chaste , homemakers, good – natured ( kindhearted), adaping and subordinating themselves to their husbands, that the word of God may not be reproach ( blasphemef or discredited). In a similar way, urge the younger men to be self- restrained and to behave prudently [ taking life seriously]. There are alot of young girls and young boys out here that don’t have any respect or love for their parents and don’t want any advice from parents either. I know that there are alot of teenagers need our love out here and to help them find you . Lord lead us to them.

  10. God pleaser , A light for people in earth

    Titus 2:6- 8, 11-15 NLT

    In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us. For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

    It’s our responsibility to lead by example the way that we act at home is the same way we act at church or other places, this Apostolic generation needs us, He didn’t say teach Our young women, he said teach The young women, the early church did everything as a family, they studied together. they ate together, everything was in the spirit of unity, so they taught all the young women, in unity! I can picture them all teaching them how to cook, how to clean how to wash clothes, how to be submissive, and not just practical learning, they learned spiritual application to, and how to manage money in the market as well. Not every one in this generation will get the benefit of learning how to be a wife, mother, how to cook! Jesus I pray you will help us to teach this younger generation the value of marraige, and what it means to be a wife, and that we can teach them practical life lessons!

  12. Titus 2

    2 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    We must lead by example. There may be things you choose not to participate in that is not sin and even not contrary to the Word of God. I don’t believe we can live to close to God. I do believe we can live too close to the world. I ponder the speech sometimes if those I’m around how so easily the world makes its way into our lives. Without realizing we have taken upon us an attribute of the world. We have to be cautious and mindful that living Godly has to be applied to every part of our life . We can easily be rocked to sleep spiritually and not even realize we have begun to blend with the world. Maybe not in an outward appearance but in our thinking in our talk and in our attitude.
    How do we stay righteous in such a wicked world . As I googled come out of the world this scripture came up
    A true way to live righteously stay attached to the vine where you are connected to be continually nurtured in His presence to allow God to form you . We are able to have a life that pleases God when you really fall in love it becomes about the other person . The same with Jesus when you truly fall in love with Him you will live a life that is pleasuring to Him .

    Oh I pray that my actions glorify God and that I do lead by example and where I fail forgive me Lord . We can have joy and live Godly in this present world. Young and old alike set your affections on things above not this world.

    John 15

    “Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love! 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be full.

    John 15 Tree of Life Version (TLV)

    Abiding in the Vine
    15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He trims so that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. The branch cannot itself produce fruit, unless it abides..

    As I was reading this chapter; something clicked in my mind. Have I been living clean for God or have I been living godless. 😰😰 That is a very unsure feeling. What have I been doing that made me feel this way; truth is it’s been a struggle for me. Always has been, but it wouldn’t be worth it if it was easy. Anything that is good never comes easy: there will always be a fight for the good in this life and for the glory of His Kingdom. God knows when and where to put us. He knows what I need; when i need it. Step out godless living and glory in His Kingdom. Fight for it; cause guess what. It won’t be handed to just anybody. You have to earn the Kingdom. That is done by living His word; breathing His word; and by putting the Kingdom first in my life. Thank you Jesus for showing me the way to the Kingdom.

  14. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    Thank You Jesus!! Jesus today You will save us and use us to reach and save others! Everyone is looking for that hope, so we must be the light that guides them there!

  15. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

    15 You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

    Despite all the pain Jesus went through for us He knew what He had to do. He loves us so much He gave His own life so we could be free. It was never intended for us to be slaves of the enemy but to live for Him. Taking this truth we must preach it with that authority that God has given unto us. The Bible defends itself and all we have to do is show it to them and pray that they would see the revelation. It was very clear to me when my husband revealed to me the truth. God knew I had been wondering all these questions for a long time and He finally sent someone to show it to me. Many of these souls are desperately dying and seeking for what we have, THE TRUTH! These souls are crying out and God is looking for a willing vessel to show them. Let’s be those willing vessels and go and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!

  16. This chapter continues to show us how to live as dedicated servants of the Lord, before other believes as well as those of the world.

  17. “Older women similarly are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor addicted to much wine, teaching what is right and good, so that they may encourage the young women to tenderly love their husbands and their children, to be sensible, pure, makers of a home [where God is honored], good-natured, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.”
    ‭‭TITUS‬ ‭2:3-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬
    This is something I feel is missing in my life. I’m not sure if it’s because of the culture that we live in or if it’s just not a priority. I pray as I grow older and wiser I would find young ladies to pure into and teach them.

  18. 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    When we are cleansed by God and we start living a holy life people will start to think that you are little wierd that aren’t of the faith. And that’s ok, because we are made to be a peculiar people. If we are truly following Jesus we should be a little strange to people because they are not going to understand why we act the way we do. Hopefully it compels some people to want to know about our Jesus.

    And if we are zealous in our good works, if we are really passionate in wanting to do the good works of God. Then people will start to take notice and possibly want what we have.

  19. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
    15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

    We are ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. Whatever we do reflects not only on self but on all Christians. For we are made in his image and we must live a holy life that we will not be accused of any sin.

  20. 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    If we hold to the Christian faith and the world does not know we are believers, we have erred in the faith. Part and parcel of being sanctified is setting our self’s apart from the world, characterized as a peculiar people eager to engage in work for the Lord.

  21. “And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age: Grace teaches us how to live in the present age. We must live soberly(self-controlled) in regard to ourselves. We must live righteously in regard to the people around us. And we must live godly (“to take God seriously”) in regard to our God.

  22. And in all things show yourself to be an example of good works, with purity in doctrine [having the strictest regard for integrity and truth], dignified, sound and beyond reproach in instruction, so that the opponent [of the faith] will be shamed, having nothing bad to say about us.
    TITUS 2:7‭-‬8 AMP

    ‘Being an example’ isn’t popular in today’s society! Just about everything we see and hear is negative and goes against the word of GOD! Standing out as a light of the gospel of Christ Takes boldness, strength, and faith. Remember the scriptures if GOD IS FOR YOU, who can be against you.

    Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong.
    1 CORINTHIANS 16:13 AMP

  23. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    KINGDOM ALIGNMENT

    11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    HE chose me! It is the Grace of GOD that brought us to HIM. This chapter is a picture of DISCIPLESHIP. From the Elder to the Young, Leadership and Servants, Ministers and Saints.

    Discipleship is evident when we DENY ungodliness and worldly lusts, when we live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present dark and distorted world. Discipleship is not a destination but a LIFESTYLE. We are instructed:

    1Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

    Seeking FIRST THE KINGDOM of GOD means we are actively looking for that BLESSED Hope and the Glorious appearing of THE Great GOD our Savior JESUS.

    KINGDOM ALIGNMENT is Discipleship. Learning and practicing the application of the Gospel of HOPE and SALVATION in JESUS.

  24. 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    The cost of salvation was great – His life for ours. His precious blood shed was for our redemption of sin, giving us the opportunity to live in relationship with Him now, and with Him eternally on those golden streets.

    We must put away the thinking that seems to be prevalent in this day and hour that we can live any way we want, and still be in relationship with Him.

    This chapter admonishes us to walk worthy of that redemptive price in conversation and actions.

  25. iLove the Kingdom

    9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

    WOW YALL🤠!!! We all need to quit talking back. Come on now, if we are servants when those who are in authority ask us to do something we should do it without talking back with an attitude. Parents must get this revelation to help their children overcome their smart mouths!!! 💥 Boom

  26. Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    Galatians 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

    Thank God for His grace.
    I am Anointed!!!
    First the Kingdom !

  27. that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. (‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭4-5‬ NKJV)

    Traits of a good wife.

    Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you. (‭Titus‬ ‭2‬:‭6-8‬ NKJV)

    How us men should be in your faith. Standing firm in what we believe in. We have to persuaded enough in the gospel. To be determine enough to take on hell by ourselves. Are we going to stand firm in the gospel? Or are we gonna let it watered down.

    Men cant be wussies in the gospel. We have to stand firm

  28. “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    I thank God that we have mighty woman of God that teach us. I am excited that our church has an OASIS group that allows our wiser members to share wisdom with each other. I also love that this group pairs with our youth/ism/motion group to spread their wisdom with younger generations.

  29. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    The more of God we have in us, the less of this world we even want. We are all tempted no matter who we are but being strong in Him is the key. He says he will make a way to escape every temptation so are we looking for it? It is SO possible to live godly in this society today! Verse 9 on servants pleasing their masters can applied to parents, employers but also to God. We are his servants and are to please him with no display of attitude, complaining or back talk.

  30. “These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    One of the things I learn since i was yourger from my Mother it was that every time I needed counseling in any part of my life was that I ask my elders. I am particularly in choosing who I go for advice and we should be! Not everyone can guide us in the right way. My Mom always uses the example of the blind man “ CAN A BLIND MAN GUIDE ANOTHER BLIND MAN” ofcourse not.
    It is wise for us to know whom do we go for guidance and accept their council and their teachings.

    Proverbs 24:6 ESV
    For by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.

    Proverbs 12:15 ESV
    The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

    Proverbs 11:14 ESV
    Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

    Proverbs 15:22 ESV
    Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.

    Proverbs 19:20-21 ESV
    Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

  31. 15 You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

    Scripture after scripture tell you, you are victorious, you have the authority, you are anointed. But to know this, you must first, read the word.

    Eph 6:11 “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”

    The whole armor of God, not just the motions of the battle. But actually doing the work, reading and knowing the word so that you will be able to STAND firmly and confidently.

    Phil 4:1 “Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.”

  32. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
    4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
    5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

    As women we must be careful what we say, do, think, watch, and listen to because the young women and young girls are watching what we do and say. Are actions and words should not be the reason to lose a soul.

  33. Titus 2:11-12
    11) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.
    12) Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    It’s the GRACE of GOD that Teaches Us.
    It’s the GRACE of GOD that Teaches Us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts.
    It’s the GRACE of GOD that Teaches Us how to live in this present world. It Teaches Us to live soberly, righteously, and godly.

    Thank You JESUS for Your GRACE!!

  34. 7-8 But mostly, show them all this by doing it yourself, incorruptible in your teaching, your words solid and sane. Then anyone who is dead set against us, when he finds nothing weird or misguided, might eventually come around.

    Leading by example sounds easy, simple and should come naturally but at times it is a difficult accomplishment. We don’t have to be the best prayer warrior, but we need to know how to pray and offer instruction to those who struggle with prayer. We don’t have to be the largest tither or sacrifice millions of dollars, but we need to have a heart for giving and sacrificing and share that passion with others. We don’t have to be the most creative decorator, but we should be willing to get our hands dirty with those who are creative.

    The point is, being the best at something is not what it takes to be a leader. We know that actions speak louder than words, but our words impact those we lead. Always support those who are following. If someone needs extra attention do not make a spectacle of them; rather offer one-on-one time.

  35. “Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.”
    ‭‭

    Be filled with love and patience

  36. 1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

    This chapter speaks about the elders teaching and bringing up the younger generations. Two main things are the first thing is you have to love people and the other is be teachable. Us younger people need to love our elders and rely on their experiences to help us and show us how to pave the way for the generations after us. Elders we need you to take the time to love us and train us in truth and give us the foundation we can build on. We are all a part of the body and cannot function without one another. Thank you for the examples you give us and thank you for your guidance and prayers! It is biblical to embrace our elders and I do it wholeheartedly!
    “Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. Honour widows that are widows indeed.”
    ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭5:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  37. “But mostly, show them all this by doing it yourself, incorruptible in your teaching, your words solid and sane….”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭MSG

    It’s so important for us to live as a godly example for our children and those we come in contact with daily that are still growing in Christ.

  38. 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    You can’t get any more clear than that……..

  39. 8 Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.

    Use the bible when teaching. Teach using verses, so students know the bible is truth. You have the bible backing you up. Questions will, search the bible for answers, and God will direct you to the verse to use.

  40. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    Grace teaches us as a mother teaches her child.

    When a child is showing behavior that needs to be corrected, there is a process a mother uses. She will forgive the child, then begin to teach/instruct them, then apply correction/discipline, and finally will encourage their good behavior.

    Grace first puts ungodliness, worldly lusts, and sin in our past. Now grace teaches/instructs us on how to continue to avoid sin and choose righteousness. Grace will also correct us and tech us how to discipline ourselves. And lastly grace will encourage us to do what is right.

  41. That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

    3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

    4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

    5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

  42. So that the men can be happy,sober in charity like to give money and in patience so sometimes people can not wait for things they have to have it now
    The women likewise have to behave as becoming church holiness not false accusers and not giving to much wine but not drinking wine and having a good teacher of things that the women must be sober and must love there husbands and to
    Love there children good obidence to there own husbands

  43. Titus 2:3
    The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

  44. “He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    You can’t out give God
    All we can is the following things in these two verses.
    Commit to the good deeds.
    Teach and encourage.
    Discipline when needed.
    These can be personal or Leadership instructions
    Before anything you have to do this personally.
    You have to be willing to be committed to personal commitments, you have to be willing to bury yourself in the word and learn, and last but not least you have to be able to discipline yourself. Like the word says if your right hand causes you to sin then cut it off and cast it into the lake of fire. So know these three things and carry them out in your everyday lives!

  45. For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age,
    TITUS 2:11‭-‬12 AMP
    Truly God’s grace has APPEARED to all men in that whosoever will may take of the water of life freely . It does not mean that all men are saved but it is available to them because God commended His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Yet God’s grace is not greasy nor is His agape, sloppy because it teaches that we need to say no to ungodliness and immoral living!
    God’s grace also teaches us to live with purpose so men can see God in us through our godly lives.

  46. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
    Titus 2:3‭-‬5 KJV

    Not popular teaching in our day, but our behavior as women too often does more harm to God’s Word than good. When we call ourselves Christians and then promote values and lifestyles that are contrary to the Bible, we convince the world around us that the Word of God need not apply to them.

    Christian women should not be brash, vulgar, seductive, or rebellious. We should not value careers over our families, and we shouldn’t “wear the pants” in our homes if our husbands are present. As was preached today, we should have an atmosphere of submission and Biblical order in our homes for all to see. We cannot demonstrate God’s love to this world if we are not practicing a submissive and sacrificial love in our own homes.

    Women, love your husbands, honor them, prefer them, help them, encourage them, support them. In addition to this, love your children. Teach them by word and example how to respect authority, how to accept correction, how to put others first, how to serve with humility, and how to live holy lives. (I was going to say, “if you don’t take the time and make the effort to teach your children Biblical love and cl holy living, somebody else will teach them all manner of worldly love and ungodliness,” but the truth is, we are teaching them whether intentionally or not.) If we don’t intentionally teach our children godly values and priorities, our absence and neglect will teach them to value things they ought not. Proverbs speaks of the outcome of having an absentee mother: “…a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame,”
    (Proverbs 29:15).

    Our home is our first ministry. Our families have been entrusted to us. We must step up as women and begin again to put the proper value on being keepers at home.

  47. From this Chapter I learned that we have to teach the young to be soul winners. We have to raise another generation to be holy and sanctified like us. We need to spread the gospel to others so they can share it with their friends and family, and the word will go on and on. Spread the word POFW!!😁😁

  48. 1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    There are many topics in the church that could be easily disagreed upon if we search them out but the things that are our common doctrine we hold safe, sacred and full proof. The apostles doctrine is what makes us apostolic. There are things that I am convicted of because of my upbringing or past that may not convict the rest of my brothers and sisters in the congregation but it is not an issue between us because we all have our own convictions. This scripture ays to speak the things which are sound doctrine. Our bible will decide what the doctrine is, Our pastor will decide what our holiness standards need to be in our particular community, and the heads of every house hold will decide what our personal convictions are. The conversation in the church should be what the doctrine is, not what our personal convictions are. what is sound doctrine? It is what has been proven by the bible. If it is not proven by the bible then you shouldn’t be talking about it. If it is on the fence of debate or understanding then we should let our Pastor address it. We should all encourage one another to good works don’t get me wrong but we cannot throw our new believers to the wolves on all the debates about whether or not Adam had a belly button kind of talk. Let them find there own convictions through the word of God and the teachings of the church. Sound doctrine is unmovable, absolute things that cannot be argued among like believers. Keep it real for our babies!

  49. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    The grace of God that brings salvation has been shown to all men. When we choose to deny godliness and live a righteous life we become not only vessels of truth, but we become the example. His light shines through us for others to see and it is our duty to share it with others. It’s up to us to bring others into his grace and salvation.

  50. 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

    3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

    4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

    This journey of life is not to be done by ourselves.
    We must look to the older generation for help to get wisdom and hear there experiences and how they over came and why things are the way the are.
    Proverbs 22:28 remove not the ancient landmark which thy fathers have set.

  51. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, it instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passion and to live sensible, upright and godly lives in the present age.

  52. v1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

    One of the best ways to avoid personal conflict is to abstain from speaking negative about others.

    ” Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin ” James 4:17

  54. 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    The Holy Ghost is our master teacher. He leads us away from the things that displeases God that we may look forward to our eternal reward in heaven. I’m greatful that God did not leave me comfort less and without help. But He sent Himself to live within me to strengthen me

  55. 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    When I was younger growing up in the Apostolic faith, I was preaching the coming o Christ almost on a weekly basis. I even got baptized on a “Jesus is coming soon” message by an evangelist.

    Yet these day it’s hardly spoken about or people live like it’s not real. Yet the writer calls us to live looking for Gods appearance.

    Live like every moment is the last, keeping vigilant while for the trumpets to sound and the sky to break. We truly need a daily reminder of this.

  56. 7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

    Let’s your works be good and undeniable! Let them be of good cheer, and let them be sewed into the kingdom of God. Let our lives be honorable before the king of kings

  57. 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    If we would really think about what Jesus has done for each of us, we would run to tell others about what he did for us…

  58. 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    God Died for us so that we may live.

  59. 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
    13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
    14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

    If we are to be Christians then we must be Christ-like and deny fleshy desires. Instead, we should be more focused on the kingdom. We will be seen as a peculiar people by those who live with a worldly mentality. That is okay because we are an example of what it means to be in this world, but not of this world. Our reward is in heaven with Jesus for eternity.

  60. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.
    Titus 2:7 NLT

    Practice what you preach. We are to lead by example. More so if we are going to be effective witnesses to others. Our actions speak louder than our words. We must ensure that what we communicate equals our actions.

  61. “He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.”(Titus‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

    What I have learned is that God willingly gave his life on the cross so that we could be free from all sin of this world, his precious blood is what cleanses us from all of our sins.

  62. He choose us because you knew that deep within us we are anointed and that we could carry on his good works and be committed to doing good deeds.

  63. 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    God wants us to be holy like Him! Despite how corrupt the culture is in America, we can live like He wants us to! We need to be the light in the darkness.

  64. 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

    3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

    4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

    12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

    I love how this chapter teaches about what the elders should be teaching younger generations. Not only in verbal teachings but also teaching by example.
