Titus 3

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.

14 And let our’s also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

15 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

  1. Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.
    Titus 3:14 NLT
    It’s the call of the Church to make sure the needs of the community are met. I’m thankful for a growing Church with caring people eager to reach into this city for souls. As POFW grows so does our outreach efforts. I see food pantries, mentor programs for the children, after school programs, children’s Bible study groups that meet throughout the city at schools and parks, the list goes on and on. When people’s urgent needs are met there is a peace with in them and they can understand more because they’re not in a panic state. As we feed more into the community I see people’s ears unstopping and them having Revelations of the beauty and truth of God’s Word. In Jesus name.

  2. In the ERV version verses 1-11 are captioned “The Right Way to Live”. Verse 8 ERV says “This is a true statement. And I want you to be sure that the people understand these things. Then those who believe in God will be careful to use their lives for doing good. These things are good and will help everyone.” Verse 14 ERV “Our people must learn to use their lives for doing good and helping anyone who has a need. Then they will not have empty lives.” In the MSG version, verses 3-8 says it all “It wasn’t so long ago that we ourselves were stupid and stubborn, dupes of sin, ordered every which way by our glands, going around with a chip on our shoulder, hated and hating back. But when God, our kind and loving Savior God, stepped in, he saved us from all that. It was all his doing; we had nothing to do with it. He gave us a good bath, and we came out of it new people, washed inside and out by the Holy Spirit. Our Savior Jesus poured out new life so generously. God’s gift has restored our relationship with him and given us back our lives. And there’s more life to come—an eternity of life! You can count on this. I want you to put your foot down. Take a firm stand on these matters so that those who have put their trust in God will concentrate on the essentials that are good for everyone.” It is time for God’s people to take a stand and show others “The Right Way to Live” as God has shown us.

    I’ve been foolish for years. It has taken me 48 yrs to realize that everything I thought I wanted was a lie. In a Toby Mac song it goes, ” I don’t what to gain the whole world and lose my soul.” That is true.; you can’t have the world and be apart of the Kingdom. This is a foolish lie that people believe daily. Just like the verse says we were deceived and that is all the world has to offer; deception. Pastor preached on it. For those that choose God over the world will be renewed by His grace and love. I thank you Jesus for renewing my spirit and my mind. I thank you Jesus for you mercy and love.

    I remember when I used to ask questions that to were valid, but to others they were not as important, I remember one, when someone was talking to me about Obedience, I would as a deflective question like, “Do you think there are really man that icons in heaven”? and as always they would shake there head and I ay now how is that important to your soul being saved! And would continue telling me about importance of obedience, and also would say, ” those types of questions are a distraction to what is really important, and usually are coming to your mind right when you are being thought the word or your talking to someone about Jesus, those questions are not going to help anyone, and it’s best to get right back to what you were talking about.”
    I dont want to give myself the opportunity to get cought up in distractions or other types of conversations that are not beneficial to the Kingdom, Or putting the kingdom first.

  5. 4. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

    5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    6. Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

    7. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

    Romans 5:
    1. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

    2. By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

    Romans 15:
    13. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    The hope of eternal life is part of what keeps us going – if there was no hope for eternal life or the risk of eternal death after this temporal life, what would be the motivation for living a life of holiness, or the risk of living a life of evil?

  6. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    The beauty of God’s Love is amazing. From the very beginning He set out with one thing in mind, and that was to share His creation with love and meeting all their needs. But when man fell from the garden, from that moment sin prevailed in the life of man. We were born in sin, sharpen in iniquity. This set the plan in motion to redeem the greatest creation God made and that was to redeem man out of a cursed life.

    God was manifested in the flesh as the man Jesus that we were justified freely through redemption. He came to pay a price that no human man could pay. But where sin did abound, grace did much more abound. That day on the cross Jesus took us from under the law and placed us under grace. When we were redeemed the veil rent and removed the barrier of the separation that held us at bay. We were then given the power of the Holy Ghost through the plan of salvation. Thank God that this message of truth delivered me from an eternal death of sin and gave me an eternal hope of life with him. Nothing saves like the love of Jesus.

    Acts 2 states-
    37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

    Thank God for the church!

    I love the Kingdom!

  7. “This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    By God’s mercy we received His word and follow His teachings.

    1 Thessalonians 2:13
    And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

    Luke 11:28
    28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

  8. 14 And let our’s also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

    So far the first 3 chapters in Titus have been about teaching and training and giving the foundation of how to love and build up people. Setting them up for success in The Kingdom. Verse 14 in chapter really stood out to me about learning to maintain good works to not be unfruitful. Without maintenance things break down and get old and don’t work like they used to. Just like the Holy Ghost, if you don’t provide a temple that is clean and pure to reside in you then it slowly pours out and gets weak until you charge it back up and continue to maintain a healthy and strong spiritual life. What does the Bible say about being unfruitful?
    “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:22 KJV
    “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭KJV
    You want to produce good works and sew seeds that are fruitful, if you’ve got a burden for a certain ministry pray about it and then get involved and give it your all. Read the word and study to prepare yourself to answer questions for those who seek your advice. Be instant in season and out of season.
    “For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
    ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    Be blessed today!

  9. 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
    10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

    All the things that this world fights about over simple fact and identities being so confused it would be relatively easy to get caught up in those type of discussions. There are millions of people going to hell and there are also millions of discussions that we could have to help reach them but these vain arguments are not going to get us anywhere. Paul tells us to stay awake from such vanity and pursue things that are after The very heart of God

  10. Thank you Jesus , every day we need to seek his voice and Word and realize how he loves us. He can Do anything

    Titus 3:3-7, 10-11 NLT

    Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. For people like that have turned away from the truth, and their own sins condemn them.

  11. Titus 3-4 (Amp) For we also were once thoughtless and senseless, obstinate and disobedient, deluded and misled; [ we too were once] slaves to all sorts of craving and pleasures, wasting our days ibmalice and jealousy and envy, hateful ( hated, detestable and hating one another. [4] But when the goodness and loving- kindness of God our Savior to man [ as man] appeared. He saved us, not because of any works of righteous that we done, But because of His own pity and mercy. I can’t thank God enough for his cleansing blood that save me. To received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Thank you Lord for my church and my church family. Thank you Jesus for Jesus for my pastor and his wife that prays for his church family. I love you Jesus.

  12. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
    4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
    7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

    How awesome is the Love of God!!! A sinner who was hell bound, is saved by the blood of Jesus, through repentance, baptism, and filled with His Spirit. I honestly would not want to know where I would be with out Him.
    We must speak of what God has done in each of our lives, so that others may hear and have hope. The saving power of God, He didnt have to come down and die for you and me. He could have just as easily said be Gone, and poof, we would be gone. The Kingdom must be our first priority, because everything on this earth will pass away. Seek ye First the Kingdom of God.

  13. Maintain Good Works
    Titus 3:8-11
    This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sonnets, being condemned of himself.

    I Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (the worst).

    II Timothy 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions (disputes) avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

    These verses concern our godly life
    Christian conduct toward the heathen
    Christian response to heresy and heretics

  14. 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
    7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

    Wow God! I’m so grateful!! Once we have this experience, we must maintain good works, which is anything that brings God glory. Not only is He worthy, but He deemed every soul worthy being saved and ita our job to show them that so that can have the same experience we did!

  15. Titus 3

    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    To Regenerate
    revive, revitalize, renew, restore, breathe new life into, revivify, rejuvenate, reanimate, resuscitate, reawaken, rekindle, kick-start, uplift, change radically, improve, amend; More
    reorganize, reconstruct, renovate, overhaul;

    The washing and renewing comes from first the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It does not stop there. Everyday His mercies are new.
    Like the smell of a fresh brewed cup of coffee. If you have refrained from coffee for a while and you take a drive by Starbucks or someone in the house is brewing coffee your senses pick up the smell quickly. I’m not likening the Holy presence of God as c cup of coffee. But most people get a cup in the morning or mid day to give them a boost to regenerate their self refresh renew. Awe so daily we get a bit sluggishness our spirit bit tangled up in the affairs of life. Time to regenerate refresh renew in the Spirit. Take a Spiritual break . He regenerated us by the renewing of our minds washed us with His precious blood cleansed us . We walk through this world and
    wonder why by the end of the day and for some it starts up early in the day attitude demeanor changes yet we’ve nit refreshed in the Holy Ghost. A spiritual coffee break take in the aroma of the presence of God Game a sip of the Holy Ghost. Refresh in the Spirit. Just occurred to me multitudes of people take smoke breaks well we the people of God can take a Fire break! What if just if we did begin to start a custom that when coworkers or friends family take their smoke break we just began to speak in tongues we might just have a Holy Ghost break out and everyone would experience this regeneration by the Spirit of God. Eccentric! Yep but if we truly believe then why am I not doing more to show it. God help me to seek first the Kingdom no matter how eccentric or uncouth it may be. In Jesus name.

  16. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
    3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
    4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
    7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
    8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

    We must live a Holy life according to God’s word that that are light will shine in the darkness.

  17. 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

    7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

    So thankful he loved before I ever knew him in this truth. He drew me while still in sin by his grace and is able to keep me till the end! We can’t look back at this world but rather look just ahead for the prize waiting for us. This world is not my home.

  18. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    Christians must be very careful how they talk to and about others as we are all sinners in need of repentance.

  19. Stay away from mindless, pointless quarreling over genealogies and fine print in the law code. That gets you nowhere. Warn a quarrelsome person once or twice, but then be done with him. It’s obvious that such a person is out of line, rebellious against God. By persisting in divisiveness he cuts himself off.

    It is proper for us to study and interpret God’s revelations to us. Rom. 1:20, “Since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse”. It is also fitting for us to want to tell others about our interpretations of them and to try to persuade people to accept our revelations. In doing so, however, we cannot get caught up in an argument. If we are gentle and meek about our interpretations, we will have the attitude that the other person may be right and we may be wrong. And if wrong, we should be ready for God to grant us knowledge of the truth. Prov. 3:7, “Do not be wise in your own eyes … Accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise” Let’s save our energy to do what God tells us to do, and to avoid what He tells us not to do! Prov. 20:3, “It is to a man’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel”.

  20. This is a faithful and trustworthy saying; and concerning these things I want you to speak with great confidence, so that those who have believed God [that is, those who have trusted in, relied on, and accepted Christ Jesus as Savior,] will be careful to participate in doing good and honorable things. These things are excellent [in themselves] and profitable for the people.
    TITUS 3:8 AMP
    The KJV says the good and honorable things are good works. We are saved TO work not saved BY our works. In other words once we have been born again, we do not have to earn our salvation with works. Yet, out of a heart of love and appreciation we work. This is not only good and profitable for us but for the kingdom as well! What better cause is there to give yourself ( your time, talent, treasure and strength) to?

  21. iLove the Kingdom
    “Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:1

    Not sure how some folks get past these scriptures y’all. Pretty clear cut right here. We are required to obey the officers 👮 of the land. They holler at you and tell you to get off the 🐴 horse, we sure need to listen. This is the will of God, to live in peace and obey the law of the land unless they tell you to deny the 👑 King

  22. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    FILLED WITH HIS SPIRIT

    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

    It is tempting to confuse separation with salvation. Separation without regeneration is simply a set a rules. However separation or works of righteousness unto GOD is preparation for the supernatural power of GOD to operate in and through us. Righteousness is necessary for Holiness unto the LORD which we MUST have to see GOD.

    The danger of deception comes with pride and arrogance when we think we are too holy to be lost, but also too empty to be used. Separation alone does not bring the power of GOD. Separation along with being FILLED WITH HIS SPIRIT is how we are empowered to do HIS WORK.

    Lets continue to Seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD; follow Holiness and works of Righteousness being FILLED WITH HIS SPIRIT being renewed and eventually saved by the Grace and Mercy of JESUS our LORD.

  23. 3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

    It’s one thing to be disciplined in Godly principles, but do we carry that same discipline over to life? Are we submitted to our boss? Are we submtted to our lender by paying our bills on time? Are we submited to the laws of the land as long as they don’t contradict the word of God?

    True submission should be evident in every area of our lives? If we are out of line in areas outside of the church are we being a good example? Even Jesus gave us an example of rendering unto Ceasar what belongs to him by providing money in the fishes mouth.

    We must not let our good be evil spoken of applies in every aspect of our lives – we must be faithful, be dependable, give our employer a good days work for our wages, be obedient to the laws of the land. We must have Godly integrity and character in all that we do – this is a true example of the characteristics of Jesus Christ.

  24. I Love To Worship The Lord
    Titus ministry is to be one of organizing local church leadership silencing false teachers and instilling an approate Christian lifestyle.What happens in a church where such mission is successful. People will improve to be a good Godly citizens they will also be deeply rooted in Gods Love

  25. Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. (‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ NLT)

    We were sin if we were judged we would been sent to hell. We were in love with sin and the evils of this world. We wanted everything in our own way. We wanted evening we couldn’t have. Sin lived inside of us and when it knocked on our doors we let it in and welcomed it. I was a slave to sin.

    But…God

    But— When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. (‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭4-5‬ NLT)

    We are only saved through the grace of God! I would not be standing and living today if it wasn’t for the mercies of the God almighty. He cleansed us and made us brand new and forgot about our sins. He lives inside of us in our praises. I don’t know why he didn’t send me to hell then I didn’t deserve him. I didn’t love him. But he gave me love and now I’m living in his life.

    I stabbed him in the back.
    He turned around and hugged me.
    Grace, mercy, his love.

  26. Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures…
    Titus 3:3 NLT

    Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
    Romans 8:21 KJV

    While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
    2 Peter 2:19 KJV

    Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
    Galatians 5:1 KJV

    Holiness is freedom from the bondage of sin, lusts, and pleasures. This world, which calls good evil and evil good, tries to tell us holiness is bondage and living for pleasure is freedom, but not so. Anything we refuse to give up for the Kingdom’s sake, we are in bondage to.

    I used to be terrified that someone would see me in the morning before I had “put my face in on.” That was bondage. I had to have the newest, the coolest, the fashion of the hour. That was bondage. Having to show your worth through bling and brand names and custom designs and ever-changing hair colors is bondage. Showing skin to get attention, taking drugs to be accepted, and having sex for a little bit of affection, these are all bondages I’m glad to be without. I’ll take holiness any day. I thank God for setting me free from sin and death and for giving me the spirit of holiness that gives me the freedom to be who God has created me to be.

  27. 14 And let our’s also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

    The NLT puts it like this; “14 Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.”

    We must learn to MAINTAIN good works for others. Don’t become so content where you are that you stop helping others. How would you have gotten if others hadn’t helped you.

    Be fruitful and productive by helping others.

  28. Titus 3:3-7 (nlt)
    3) Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.
    4) But – When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love,
    5) He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
    6) He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
    7) Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

    Thank You JESUS for Your KINDNESS and LOVE, Your MERCY, and Your GRACE!
    Thank You JESUS for saving me, for washing away my sins, for giving me new life, for pouring out the Holy Ghost upon me, and for the confidence that I will inherit eternal life one day.
    I am so THANKFUL and so BLESSED!!

    Now I will devote myself to doing good (vs.8). I will devote myself to Seeking First the Kingdom, telling others about You JESUS, and living a holy life.

  29. “For we too once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various sinful desires and pleasures, spending and wasting our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the goodness and kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared [in human form as the Man, Jesus Christ], He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we have done, but because of His own compassion and mercy, by the cleansing of the new birth (spiritual transformation, regeneration) and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that we would be justified [made free of the guilt of sin] by His [compassionate, undeserved] grace, and that we would be [acknowledged as acceptable to Him and] made heirs of eternal life [actually experiencing it] according to our hope (His guarantee).”
    ‭‭TITUS‬ ‭3:3-7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    We were foolish.
    “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    We were disobedient.
    Not listening to the voice of God. Rebelling against His authority. Arguing that we knew better than Him.

    We were deceived.
    Believing we were right when we were wrong. Believing we were awake when we were asleep. Believing we were alive when we were dead. Believing we were free when we were enslaved to sin.

    We were wasting our life away.
    Giving of ourself to sinful nature. Living with lust and hate in our hearts. We seemed like a hopeless cause.

    But He saved us!

    Why would He save us? I search myself and I see no good reason. I owe Him everything, and He owes me nothing.

    Our salvation is not from anything we have done. It is only because of His love, His kindness, His mercy, and His grace. He didn’t just forgive me but He transformed me! Even when I didn’t deserve it, He thought I was worth saving!

  30. “Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive. Everybody here sends greetings. Please give my greetings to the believers—all who love us. May God’s grace be with you all.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:14 NLT

    Paul was concerned that Christians might be barren and unfruitful, yet still have a “wonderfully” confident assurance of their standing in the Lord. Instead of being unfruitful, God’s people must learn to maintain good works and to meet urgent needs.

  31. “At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:3-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

    Never forget where God brought you from!! It’s so dangerous to get so kingdom minded that you become no earthly good. Who are we to judge those that walk through the doors of POFW when we took once had our own baggage weighing us down?!

  32. 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
    7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

    HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  33. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

    It’s not easy being gentle with people and speaking to people out of love. To our friends it can be easy, most of the time. But sometimes to people we dont know it can be harder. We just need to remember that there may be times someone else is being gentle with us when we are not being as kind as we could be.

  34. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

    Never forget where you came from. We were once lost wondering this world looking for a way to cope with reality. Fulfilling our fleshy desires with what ever would give you that satisfaction and comfort you were in need of. We were all sinners at one point or another and no matter how big or how small sin is sin. Don’t disregard someone or pass judgment upon them because of sin they have committed. You just might be their only hope.

  35. Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. (‭Titus‬ ‭3‬:‭1-2‬ NLT)
    We must be a light to this world. If we are true children of God we should seek unity, peace and harmony. We should seek this with all who are around us.
    God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. (‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬ NLT)

  36. “Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    This is a revelation I caught early in my walk with God.
    It’s about serving. The scripture says meeting the urgent needs of others. Wow. What an amazing way to show appreciation to someone and love for someone. “Love everyone, but only invest in those who respond”
    Let’s do good and be a helping hand to some folks. We should challenge ourselves to find 5 new unfamiliar faces every week and try to engage a friendship of some sort with them. Let’s build the Kingdom

  37. “Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.” Titus 3:1-2 KJV

    Give God a good representation where ever you go; be aware of how you act. Your actions speak louder than words!

  38. 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

    Yes, once you receive the Holy Spirit in you, something changes within you. Your carnal desires go away, and your desire to serve God is within. You’ll want to be kind, joyable and lovable, etc. You’ll want to serve in the kingdom, teach others about God, and live holy.

  39. Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.

    14 And let our’s also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

    15 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

  40. What I learned from this chapter was to not speak of evil , but to speak of his word. We can’t pray little things hurt us, but let the big things have an impact on our life. If we keep trusting in the Lord, all of our problems and situations will be answered. Keep on believing POFW!!😁😁

  41. “Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.”
    ‭‭

    Submit to the government and it’s iofficers

  42. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    We can do good for the rest of our lives and it could never compare to the goodness of God that lead us to repentance. This should not discourage us from trying. It should be our life’s purpose to do good and please the Lord.

    He washed away all of our sins and saved us from the pits of hell what a wonderful God we serve.

  43. v 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    A person can quickly become become notorious for talking too much, and such a person becomes untrustworthy to his closest associates.
    We should diligently heed Paul’s admonition:
    ” And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you ” Thessalonians 4 :11

  44. 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
    7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
    If it was not for Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected we would not have hope of eternal life.

  45. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

    5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    We cannot change anyone, especially those that are babies in the faith or those that are considering. We cannot sit in the judge seat and condemn before the even have a chance to appear before the Lord. It is the Lord Lord Himslef that through the Holy Spirit begin to change, mold and transform their old ways by the renewing of their mind.

  46. 3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

    Not because….BUT BECAUSE OF HIS MERCY! His mercy is new everyday and grateful that my sins were washed away in 2008. I left that sinful life to live a holy life. However sanctification is a daily walk with God. We have to remain holy and sanctified in order to enter His Kingdom for that we must pray, seek His face daily. Just how I tell my kids just like how you eat everyday and couple times a day we also have to eat His Word daily.

    Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Cor 5:17

    And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
    Col 3:10

  47. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
    Stay humble!

  49. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    Speak no evil! Don’t speak evil on no man! Jesus knew what this world would do and twist and he knew how people would act so he told us to keep our mouths pure. Be pure in all speech

  50. Titus 3
    4) But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
    5) Not by works of righteousness we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;
    7) That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

  51. 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    We are saved by baptism in water in Jesus name, and the in filling of the HG. There is nothing more powerful than a Christians conversion. But it is only the beginning of the journey. And his mercy is expressed when we go down in the water and the fire falls upon us.

  52. “Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”
    ‭‭

  53. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    We are reminded here that we did not get where we are today squeaky clean and without sin. Not many of use started coming to church without the need to be taught and lead by the way of salvation. If we weren’t perfect in our actions, then we cannot expect others to be also. Therefore, we shouldn’t speak evil of others for their ignorance or deliberate mistakes. Quarreling only leads to division. Most people learn from mistakes at least they have the opportunity to try again. Instead of laughing when people fall we should be Christian enough to lift them up when they are down. That is true humility not only to be respectful of all leaders and authorities but also the least of power, the ones who can do nothing for you. God uses the least likely people to raise up nations and sit on thrones. Don’t dispose small beginnings for someone may look so small and insignificant now, but who is to say they don’t get set ablaze with fire to spark a revival in their homes, schools, or city. Don’t underestimate anyone, God can use any willing soul.

  54. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    God is the same God in your car as he is in the church. How many of us have been driving down the road and been cut off or someone is not paying attention and sitting still at a stop light and we are in a hurry? Meekness is not shown when everything is going your way. Humbleness is not cheap. Gentleness is not easy. My Dad would say that you never know a mans character till you see him under pressure or see him make a mistake. God is not impressed with our show that we put on for him but we get his attention when we show forth these things when no one is looking.

  55. “They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.”(Titus‬ ‭3:2‬ ‭NLT)

    We must be examples of Christ to this untoward generation and stay faithful to the word of God. God wants us to be tender hearted and humble to all that want to hear the truth of his word. We must be ready at all times when God wants us to speak his word to the lost.

  56. “It wasn’t so long ago that we ourselves were stupid and stubborn, dupes of sin, ordered every which way by our glands, going around with a chip on our shoulder, hated and hating back. Take a firm stand on these matters so that those who have put their trust in God will concentrate on the essentials that are good for everyone. Stay away from mindless, pointless quarreling over genealogies and fine print in the law code. That gets you nowhere. Warn a quarrelsome person once or twice, but then be done with him. It’s obvious that such a person is out of line, rebellious against God. By persisting in divisiveness he cuts himself off.”
    ‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:8-11‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    Some people just have to argue. Somehow it brings them joy to argue with others. We shouldn’t argue, we should watch out. When people just have to argue all the time they are not just arguing with people, but they are also arguing with God. Warn the arguer. Tell them how they can be peacemakers instead of quarrelsome.

  57. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    I know this is not only a difficult verse for myself but many others. “To speak evil of no man. . . “ this alone could preach! To not use my tongue for evil against someone is difficult. Especially when it is a true statement. Also to not brawl, fight, or cause anamosity and to be gentle at all times can also be hard as well.

  58. 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

    3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

    God is our judge no matter what anybody says.
