Hebrews 2

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

  1. In the NLT, the beginning of this chapter is captioned “A Warning against Drifting Away” as verse 1 says “So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.” This reminded me of some of what Rev. Jeff Arnold spoke about last night “Hearing the Voice of God”.

    Romans 10:17 AMP “So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.”

    John 10:27-30 MSG says “Jesus answered, “I told you, but you don’t believe. Everything I have done has been authorized by my Father, actions that speak louder than words. You don’t believe because you’re not my sheep. My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand. The Father who put them under my care is so much greater than the Destroyer and Thief. No one could ever get them away from him. I and the Father are one heart and mind.”

  2. 3 So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak?
    4 And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose. (NLT)

    Declaration followed by demonstration! This is the example we are given and this is the example we should follow!

  3. We are people of flesh and blood. This is why Jesus became one of us. He died to destroy the devil, who had power over death. But he also died to rescue all of us who live each day in fear of dying. He had to be one of us, so he could serve God as our merciful and faithful high priest and sacrifice himself for the forgiveness of our sins.

    Thankful that I do not live in fear. A sinner set free as i had an encounter with my savior Jesus Christ way back in March 1997. It is His love, mercy, and grace that embraced my heart and a miracle happened that sunday evening where i was filled with The Gift of the Holy Ghost ❤ immediately a heart transplant within. I now have a million reasons to live. It is all about First The KINGDOM. A.L.M.A.S/S.O.U.L.S There is a song out there playing on the Christian radio station. And in the song the lyrics say this ‘My fear doesn’t stand a chance .’ But as i hear that song i sing it like this ‘fear doesn’t stand a chance.’ The last thing i want to claim is ‘fear’ for when the scripture truly tells me different.

    For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
    2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

    There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
    1 John 4:18 KJV

  4. For, as we all know, He (Christ) does not take hold of [the fallen] angels [to give them a helping hand], but He does take hold of [the fallen] descendants of Abraham [extending to them His hand of deliverance]. Therefore, it was essential that He had to be made like His brothers (mankind) in every respect, so that He might [by experience] become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things related to God, to make atonement (propitiation) for the people’s sins [thereby wiping away the sin, satisfying divine justice, and providing a way of reconciliation between God and mankind]. Because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted, He is able to help and provide immediate assistance to those who are being tempted and exposed to suffering.

    Ok, so why man over Angels? God created the heavens first. So then why choose us over his Angels. Here’s my thought; God created us in His image: He wanted a people that would choose Him and worship Him. The Angels I believe don’t have the choice. So then why did Lucifer get mad that God put us before him. Here’s why; Lucy felt threatened by man and didn’t understand that God is a master builder. So in anger Lucy tried to take over heaven. We all know how that ended. God knows what He is doing; even in his disobedience Lucifer still has to get permission from God to continue to lie to mankind. It doesn’t matter what we feel, it doesn’t matter what we’re going through. What matters is who gets the glory. Where do we put our hearts, where do we put our minds, and most importantly whom do we call on. Me; I cry out “Jesus, Jesus, no other name no other name than Jesus.” I thank you Lord for giving me a mind and heart to be stayed on you.

    All Power, all Glory, is put in his hands. I beleive that once Jesus came and Died And Rose again. he has authority over us, when he was on earth he had authority over his disciples, over the demons, uncean spirits
    and then he died and even in death he had authority over the grave. when he rose, he didn’t rise just to say look what I can do. he rose with purpose. Authority, what good I add a king with no Authority. and if the king has no authority what is to be said about his kingdom. God gave all authority to Jesus concerning us when he was here walking around, he put us in to subjection to his word. to his instruction! This is why he is the KING OF KINGS, because he dont have reign over one area of the earth, he reighnd in heaven, in earth and below, hell might be the devils kingdom, but every castle has a dungeon. and the prisoners have a jailer, the jailer dont own the prison, he is merely a servant of the King, and satan may think that he has a kingdom, but it all belongs to God. He dont have power or Authority! Thank you Jesus!

  6. 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will

    there’s never been a more important time for us to respond to the word of God allow him to use us as his vessel. People respond to demonstration of the unexplainable. And for us to win more souls…we need to get out there and begin praying for people with a faith we have not reached yet. Faith comes by hearing the word of God and responding to his voice more will continue to increase that faith

  7. 14Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who hadg the power of death. 15Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. (NLT)

    As I read this scripture this morning instantly the song that came to my mind was something my wife would sing to the babies during Sunday school-

    Jesus loves the little children
    All the children of the world
    Black and yellow, red and white
    They’re all precious in His sight
    Jesus loves the little children of the world

    Whether you’re rich or whether you’re poor
    It matters not to Him
    He remembers where you’re going
    Not where you’ve been

    Jesus loves the little children
    All the children of the world
    Black and yellow, red and white
    They’re all precious in His sight
    Jesus loves the little children of the world

    If your heart is troubled
    Don’t worry, don’t you fret
    He knows that you have heard His call
    And he won’t forget

    Jesus loves the little children
    All the children of the world
    Black and yellow, red and white
    They’re all precious in His sight
    Jesus loves the little children of the world

    All around the world tonight
    His children rest assured
    That He will watch and He will keep us
    Safe and secure

    Jesus loves the little children
    All the children of the world
    Black and yellow, red and white
    They’re all precious in His sight
    Jesus loves the little children of the world

    This song says it all for many of us. Not because we are special that he chose us, but he created us in his own image. We were made just a little lower than angels. We were born in sin and shaped in iniquity. And by the sin of the first Adam, Jesus had to be made just a little lower than angels to come in flesh and blood, bringing the kingdom with him to attack the kingdom of Satan and destroy the very lie that gives us fear. Through the death, burial, and resurrection he gave us the keys to make entry to the kingdom. Many of those that we know will probably die lost. But we have the power to overcome the fear of death. Scripture states that to be present with the lord , means we are absent from this old body.

    For the Lord didn’t give of a spirit of Fear but of power, love, and a sound mind-2Timothy 1:7

    We have to possess the authority and dominion that Jesus has given us. We have to begin to have demonstration with our declaration while living as a part of the kingdom of God. For he is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

    I love the Kingdom!

  8. Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
    Hebrews 2:17‭-‬18 NLT

    With this scripture we can never say “put Yourself in my shoes, God”. God understands and He sees it from every angle. He knows what we’re going through. He put Himself into subjection so we could know Him and He could prove to us that to defeat the power of death there’s only one way-through Him.

  9. We need to listen to what the Word of God says and listen to what God says also! It’s dangerous to ignore and drift away from what we’ve been taught and can lead you places that you never imagine you’d go. Stay strong and focused and grow in the Lord and not grow in knowledge or carnality in the world. Be Blessed today! Come with a spirit of expectation!

    • 1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

  10. 3. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

    -God was so urgent to get this salvation message to us, He robed Himself in flesh to bring it to us personally…how can we neglect it?

    4. God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

    -According to His own will.
    That’s why, as Bro Arnold explained last night, we don’t take the credit when God does it, and don’t take the blame when He doesn’t do it.

  11. 14 Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.

    Jesus became one of us, flesh and blood. He felt the pain, the sorrows, the grief, the troubles, etc we all go through on a daily basis. God even let him feel death for our sins. Thank you Jesus, he resurrected, and all of our sins have been forgiven.

  12. “Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    The most humiliating act in the Bible. God was humble enough to wrap himself in flesh and come amongst us to lay down his life just we could live and have peace.

    I found an old journal the other day and on the pages I quote “My whole life I’ve been scared of death and that I will wake up and the world will be burning”.

    Tormented by the fear of death because I knew where I was headed. But God.
    God got ahold of me and there were countless times where I would find myself curled up on the floor with snot all over the place and I was crying out why God why. I’m not worthy for this I don’t deserve this.
    During those times I always find myself crawling into the arms of the Lord with him telling me I am worthy. He died so I could live.
    Spread this word today!

  13. Hebrews 2
    Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

    3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

    You ever went and purchase a helium filled balloon?
    You find the perfect one for that special occasion .
    You get it to the car ; in the car and you arrive at the celebration. You ope the door and take hold of the string you turn to reach back into the car for just a brief moment and all of a sudden you have let go of the string on the balloon frantically you look up and you see it vanishing far away into the sky. You didn’t mean to let it slip away you had purchased it with a purpose in mind.
    Why because when we purchased the balloon we didn’t purchase the little anchor that could be attached to something to hold it securely in place until we got to the celebration.
    This same application can be applied to our own life .
    Scripture here was telling us that if we do not hold onto or anchor our salvation to something it can easily slip away . Why would we allow something that has been purchased with such a great price slip out of our life. Salvation was purchased through the blood of Christ. We must anchor our life into the Word . We must have it secured lest we forget what we have heard and we let the word go in one ear and out the iothr . How many times have we listened to sermon after sermon and get home and can’t rwne one thing that was said. We must give more attention to listening we must hear really hear with both ears and then anchor it deep within us. Lest we allow it to slip so easily away. An anchor goes deep into the water it secures even in the midst of storms .
    Oh that I allow the anchor of God to go deep in my heart and that it is secured . In Jesus name. Thy word have I hid in my heart . Not neglecting it daily assured the word is anchored into my life.

  14. So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished.
    Hebrews 2:1‭-‬2 NLT

    We can read and hear His Word but if we don’t study it carefully and to a deeper level, we can easily be distracted with oit knowing it.

  15. 1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
    2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
    3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
    4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

    The power to choose.

    I have ,unfortunately, seen many people walk away from this great Gospel. Everytime it saddens me. But, what is it that happened? What happened from the time that the revelation of who God is, to receiving Holy Ghost, and then stepping away…, what happened? Did they forget what the Love of God feels like, did they get hurt by someone, or did they just chose that this was not for them? Once we hear this gosple we have a choice to make. How can someone who has seen signs and wonders from God, neglect and deny the power of The Holy Ghost? None of us are exempt from this temptation, however when we absolutely fall in Love with God, it is an easy decision to continue to serve in His Kingdom. As we continue to grow in His Kingdom and make it first, we will see what God has in store for us. Chose you this day, who you will serve.

  16. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    MIRACLES, SIGNS AND WONDERS = THE KINGDOM

    3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
    4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

    LOOK what we found! I could not have scheduled this passage to be presented this day on my own knowledge. The WORD of GOD affirming and confirming what we were taught and witnessed on Saturday night.

    The Kingdom being demonstrated through HIS Church has been established. Consider the fact of as we seek FIRST THE KINGDOM we are to FIRST seek demonstration of the Kingdom and Power of GOD through MIRACLES, SIGNS and WONDERS.

    YES!

  17. “So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    The consequences of Disobedience:
    If we don’t listen or obey God, He’ll discipline us.

    Deuteronomy 28:15-20
    15 “But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
    16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.
    17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
    18 “Cursed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock.
    19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
    20 “The Lord will send upon you curses, confusion, and rebuke, in all you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, on account of the evil.

  18. God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

  19. Hebrew 2:8-10
    8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
    Jesus God Almighty robed himself in flesh and became a little lower than the angels why for the suffering of death, crowned with glory. The word glory in Strong’s 1391 dóksa (from dokeō, “exercising personal opinion which determines value”) – glory. 1391/dóksa (“glory”) corresponds to the OT word, kabo (OT 3519, “to be heavy”). Both terms convey God’s infinite, intrinsic worth (substance, essence). The man Jesus was crowned with who God is. Love, his kingdom, mercy, it was the presence of God walking on the earth. That’s why every time Jesus went somewhere people was healed. Why because the kingdom of God is about life and wholeness being full not empty and not hurting or deadth.
    The word honour means in Strong’s (from tiō, “accord honor, pay respect”) – properly, perceived value; worth (literally, “price”) especially as perceived honor – i.e. what has value in the eyes of the beholder; (figuratively) the value (weight, honor) willingly assigned to something.
    Jesus was everything. In the Old Testament the children was to bring their best sacrifices to be offered up to God to get their sins cleaned, or pushed another year. So when it says he was crowned with glory and honour it was saying this man (God himself) will be the best sacrifices there is. He will take on all the sins of the world and taste death so we can live free. It didn’t say it would stay there no it said taste. When you taste food you get just a little of the food or drink just what you need to know what it is. Jesus had to taste death to go down and get the keys from death hell and the grave, but he didn’t stay there he got up and offered life to this world. Revelation 1:18 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

  20. God is always bearing witnesses and with signs and wonders and with godly miracles and with the Holy Ghost gifts according to his will

  21. Lord sacrificed to make us free
    Thank you Jesus

    What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.

  22. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
    Hebrews 2:14 KJV
    Here is just one reason why God was manifest in the flesh;. That he might destroy the works of the devil and and his power of death. He also was
    tempted in all points as we are, but He didn’t sin.
    Therefore, “He is able to help us when we are
    being tested.” (NLT) The greatest reason God became a man is that He could become the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Only His sinless blood could satisfy God’s justice and pay the price for the sins of the world. Yet man could only access that payment for sin through faith in what Jesus did on the cross and obedience to His plan.

  23. 1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

    2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

    3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

    We need to remember the word that was given to us last night and all the messages spoken to us. We dont want them to slip but to keep them stored in our mind.

  24. iLove the Kingdom
    Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

    God has given man authority and power over His creation. Many folks don’t understand this great authority and therefore cannot exercise what they do not understand. In order for us to walk in dominion we must get a revelation in the will of God.

    8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

  25. Since the children are made of flesh and blood, it’s logical that the Savior took on flesh and blood in order to rescue them by his death. By embracing death, taking it into himself, he destroyed the Devil’s hold on death and freed all who cower through life, scared to death of death.
    Hebrews 2:14‭-‬15 MSG

    I have a family member who is scared to death of death. He is always going to the ER because he is afraid he is having a heart attack. We’ve tried to talk to him about the Lord, but he is not interested. We can’t make him understand that death brings promotion to those who are in Christ.

    The fear of death and suffering has held many people in bondage, but Jesus has given us a glimpse into eternity. He has shown us that the promise of resurrection is real and we need not fear if we’ve made our hearts right with Him.

  26. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

    18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

    Laying aside all diety Jesus became flesh and blood so that he could take on our sins and rise victorious over death, hell and the grave.

    Temptation and suffering comes to all, otherwise it would have been a different life for our Lord. However we are given his great example, as he overcame so can we. Walking with the Lord, him living inside of us through the power of the holy ghost gives us the power we need to live overcoming, victoriously.

    We must not sell ourselves short by thinking we cannot make it. We can MAKE IT!

  27. Hebrews 2:13-14 ( Since, therefore, [ these His]
    children share in flesh and blood [ in the physical nature of human beings], He [ Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [ natural], that by
    [ going through] death. He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death that is the devil. [14] And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [ haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives. But my God died for me so that I could live again. It’s hurt my heart what he had to through on the cross for my sins. Thank you for saving from the pits of hell. Use me Lord, Let you kingdom come.

  28. 16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

    17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

    18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

    He took my sins, my carnality, and died so He May take away the keys of hell and death away from the devil so I may live eternally in His presence!!!! For He loved me when I was unlovable!!!! He saved me when I was unworthy of His salvation!!!!

  29. 1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
    2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
    3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

  30. 18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

    Amen! God knew that humanity would not believe Him unless we knew that He became flesh and lived how we live. We tend to naturally follow those who not only talk the talk but also act what they preach or say. It’s very easy to link with a leader who is a man of His Word, who knows what His vision is, who has courage, etc. Well Jesus is all this and more. Because He himself was tempted also and overcame. We can do the same. Don’t matter how beautiful the devil paints a picture in front of us, it’s never going to have a good outcome.

    “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.“ James 4:7

  31. What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭2‬:‭9-10‬ NLT)

  32. Hebrews 2:4 (nlt)
    “And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose.”

    This scripture goes along with what Bro. Jeff Arnold taught us last night.
    1) Declaration followed by Demonstration. God confirmed the message (declaration) by giving signs and wonders and miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit (demonstration).
    2) The Kingdom is signs, wonders, and miracles.

  33. 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
    16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

    Many people turn to Jesus out of fear, nut he uses whatever reason they turn to reveal who he really is to them.

    When I look for a leader, I want someone who has been through similar situations. When I want help, I look for someone who knows about what I am needing help with. Jesus, being tempted as a man, means he understands more than some (dead) “golden calf” might know.

    I love you Jesus. Thank you for your wisdom, your love, your mercy, your salvation.

    God laid dormant, so to speak, for like 400 hundred years. We heard nothing until Christ. He had to give us someone to relate to. A human to learn from and come back to because obviously we weren’t doing it on our own. He came to teach and and to remind all of us that God was truth and that we were able to have salvation from our sins trough him. He died on the cross for our sins so that we could have a reminder of how much God loves us. God said I would die for you I would take slashes for you I would take all this pain a suffering for you and he did. He did through Jesus. Now we the saved because he was killed in our place.

  35. 4God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

    It is the will of the Father that there be a demonstration of His spirit active here on earth. “Thy Kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven”. His will is miracles signs wonders and the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Yet the question asked in the Old Testament, New Testament, and the Now Testament is “who will go?”

    Let us be a Lord Send me generation and church. Let us learn to activate our faith and put the word into Action by laying hands on the sick and they recover. Laying hands on the broken and they be made whole and by laying hands on those that need the Holy Ghost and they be filled.

  36. Because God loves us he came down to this earth to sacrifice himself so that we may have eternal life. His sacrifice gives us a chance to be free from the things of this world. We should take advantage of the power God has given us and use it against the enemy.

  37. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

    What an amazing revelation it is to understand that we are nothing without God. Nothing we can give or take can equate to the sacrifice Jesus gave of his life for our salvation. He came in flesh to free us from our own sinful natures. No amount of human or animal blood could wash us clean. The high priest could only go before the Lord once a year for forgiveness of sins of the Israelites. Imagine having to wait that long to repent. When Jesus died, the earth quaked and the veil separating the high priest from God was rent in two. God wants to give us free access to his throne room. We can repent at any time and ask for forgiveness because of his mercy on us.

  39. 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

    Holy Ghost! God will show himself manifested in glory and greatness! God will bring heaven to earth!

  40. 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

    God has given us, his children power and authority. We have to power to change our surrounding. We have power over the things that may rise up against us.

  41. He is our ever present help in a time of need.

    “Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    He knows about every temptations and Every trail. He has been where we are and knows how to be victorious along the way. We have to listen. The way for Jesus to help us through our trials is the art of listening to that still small voice. When we listen he will guide. Our problems won’t majically be erased, but we can still be lead through them and stay in God’s will as we go through.

  42. 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

    9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

    Jesus robed in flesh, came to earth to die on a cross for our sins. He “tasted death for every man”, the sacrifice He made for us so that we could have eternal life.
