1 John 3

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

God cant be where sin is, He is the light of the world, because the world is so full of darkness that we need the light, if we are full of sin, and everything we do is an example of sinful acts and deeds, then how can I be a witness, if I have the Holy Ghost then there is a light in me, but if I’m living a life of darkness and destruction, their is no light, and how can darkness help someone be light, light can consume a dark place, but I have to be willing to

As I was reading these really spoke to me and reminded me where I cam from. Man what a powerful chapter. Gets right to the meat of it. Whosoever committith sin transgresseth the law. How many times have I tranhreessed the law with my sin. Um, to many; it amazes me how just a few words read can hit you like a ton of bricks. Where am I at; am I living a righteous life. Well to be honest there are some areas that I still lack in, bit hey I’m working on it and with God as my guiding light I’ll get there. 🤔 so what must Joe do to get to living that righteous life style. 🙄 first off; step out in faith that God will not allow me to fail. Second off: get my prayer life together. Thirdly: start really digging into His word. These are just the top three: there’s more trust me. Everyday I have to check something off my list of things to do. God knows where I’m at and what needs to be checked off. I am by no means perfect, bit I am a child of God and even if I mess up; God knows how to fix it and what I need to do first. Thank you Jesus for guiding me and putting my feet on the right path.

  3. Verses 7-8 MSG “So, my dear children, don’t let anyone divert you from the truth. It’s the person who acts right who is right, just as we see it lived out in our righteous Messiah. Those who make a practice of sin are straight from the Devil, the pioneer in the practice of sin. The Son of God entered the scene to abolish the Devil’s ways.” As we continue to “ISeek, First the Kingdom”, we can remain focused on Jesus and what he is commanding us to do. Verses 22-24 AMP say “and we receive from Him whatever we ask because we [carefully and consistently] keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight [habitually seeking to follow His plan for us]. This is His commandment, that we believe [with personal faith and confident trust] in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and [that we unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, just as He commanded us. The one who habitually keeps His commandments [obeying His word and following His precepts, abides and] remains in Him, and He in him. By this we know and have the proof that He [really] abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us [as a gift]. Lord abide in my altar.

  4. 19 Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. (NLT)

Actions speak louder than words. We can say whatever we want, but it doesn’t always prove the truth. What we do is the proof of our faith – where’s your faith at?

  5. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

When the angel of the Lord overshadowed Mary and she became pregnant with such a great promise, it was at that moment that a world even then was full of sin and sorrow. Little did Mary know that her baby she would deliver the the world would soon deliver the world from a sin that brought destruction and death. For the scripture says that the wages of sin is death. But Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly.

I am so thankful this morning that I know who Jesus is and I know he know me. John chapter 1 states:

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

So if the light is not in us then we can not comprehend the presence of Jesus and the Holy Ghost that he sent to us. We find that when we fill our life with everything except the blessings and the love of God, then we are full of sin. I can’t even express in the words how greatful that I have a savior who died for me and that shed his blood for me to wash away all of my sins. I have to continue to seek the first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness, because that is the only way to stay saved.

    I love the Kingdom!

  6. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

  7. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

    • And god Jesus gets a lot of commandments from people on earth for requests so we should believe in Jesus all the time and he replies back from our commandments and sends them back to our mind

  8. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

If we ask we shall receive because god is good. As long as we keep putting god first in our lives. Keep being kind to our brethren no matter what .

  9. 1 John 3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Love is more than just a word . Yet we all want to hear someone say I love you. Yet it then goes deeper to a depth of if you really love me then show me how much . Actions go beyond talk. We can talk all day to someone about our love but until there is an actual visual display of affection can we say it is Love? Goes back to what pastor has proclaimed how is our alter? Am I showing Jesus how much I really love Him. Sacrifice of time at the alter and then even that’s not complete until we show forth the love that God has given us. It’s the little things that mean the most . Am I willing to really show His love. Not just in word . But in deed
    1 John 4:20

    English Standard Version
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

    Berean Study Bible
How precious is your unfailing love, O God! – Psalm 36:7

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. – Psalm 86:5

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. – Psalm 86:15

  10. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

We are and were never meant to live in condemnation, it is one of the biggest hindrances that believers face most, it stops us from intimacy with Christ. The more we understand that God has never condemned us and accepts we are human and Is quick to forgive when we make a mistake, the closer we get to Christ, and the closer we get to Christ the less we fall to our humanity.

  11. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    BORN AGAIN TO LOVE

14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Our minds are conditioned early in life to understand that we will pass from life to death in the flesh. However here we learn that we will pass from death to life when we are Born Again of the Water and Spirit.

This conversion brings forth in and to us the power to overcome adversity and differences to LOVE one another. The fact that we continue to love now another is the evidence that we LIVE in Christ JESUS.

Our LOVE nature is what the power of the Gospel changes for and in us. Because JESUS loves, we also can and should love.

  12. 13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Don’t be surprised if this world will hate you for who you are in Christ. Sin is gonna hate purity and Holliness. Our lives need to glorify Jesus no matter who cares. When I first started living for Jesus agin I had old friends that gave me back lash for how I acted as a Christian, I wanted my heart and hears and mind to all be pure but they wanted to pollute it by directing whatever they did ungodly Towards me.
But I knew my God had a plan!

  13. 1John 3:21-22 (Amp) And, beloved, if our consciences ( our hearts) do not accuse us [ if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us]. We have confidence ( complete assurance and boldness) before God. [22] And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [ watchfully] obey His orders [ observed His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] And [ habitually] practice what is pleasing to God. We should put our faith and trust in the Lord. Where is your faith and believe ? Ask and you shall receive it. I know my father can supply all of our needs. His plan, and live, love , and share his gospel . [ Halaula].

  14. 1 John 3:2-3 (CEV)
    2) My dear friends, we are already God’s children, though what we will be hasn’t yet been seen. But we do know that when Christ returns, we will be like him, because we will see him as he truly is.
    3) This hope makes us keep ourselves holy, just as Christ is holy.

“This Hope” that we have, that Jesus is returning, that we will be like Him, and we will see Him as He truly is, should make us want to keep ourselves holy and purified (as the KJV says). “This Hope” should make us want to stay dedicated and consecrated to God, and it should makes us want to stay clean, spotless and without blemish and blameless.

Ephesians 5:27, “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
1 Peter 3:14, “Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.”

    How is your Altar today?
Lord, help me to keep my Altar in good shape. “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts; And see if there be any wicked way in me… if I have any spot, wrinkle, or blemish in me… Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Thank You JESUS for Your Mercy and Grace!!

  15. 14 If we love our Christian brothers and sisters, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. 15 Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.

In addition to loving one another, show respect, give honor, show kindness and be in unity. It takes a team to work together to operate a business, a church, a sport team, etc. A well run business/church will meet its vision and goals. Love covers all things!

  16. “And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:19-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We must love everyone as God has blessed us. We can’t just have a squishy feeling for people. We must truly love them. And to truly love them it means that we have to give up something for them. Some part of our day, something that we enjoy, at what time. We have to give up something to prove to people that we love them because we are showing the love of Christ to them. We should seek first to love others.

  17. 20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

Who is King of your life?

In a world that runs are caffeinated highs, feelings that if you say anything against what I believe you should go to jail, where sin is the norm in our schools, and God is not welcomed in the chambers of our Government and public places. We are surrounded by neon signs and construction sights. We cannot forget who is our King. Who has reign in your life? Who can say go and we go, come and we come, pray and we pray. When We will allow God to be absolute ruler in our lives, we can then move with the Spirit of God as He leads. How is your alter? Is it where we can sacrifice or is it in ruins? May a God help me see and understand His will for my life, and let Him be my King in all things.

  18. I John 3:15 whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Rev. 21:8 But the fearful , and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers , and Idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

You must love one another if you are one of God’s if not you are of the devil, simple as that.

    God is LOVE❤️

  19. 18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

We have to walk the walk. We can say we love God and serve His kingdom but those are just words. We have to put our words into action. We have to sew seeds. When you put in the foot work you see the results of your sewing. Live and lead by the example you proclaim. You can say anything and build yourself up with fancy accomplishments but your actions can tell a total different story. Be blessed today and put love and work into action!

  20. iLove the Kingdom in Action

John is the Lord’s beloved disciple. If you want to hear about love, read the gospel of John and also 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. These are chapters of God’s divine love. With this love however, we notice the severity of the sinful nature. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

With this understanding, John is teaching that true love does not allow a person to “willfully sin”. True love is proven with purity. We cannot truly say we love God if we allow the sinful nature control our lives.

  21. See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God. Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.
    1 John 3:1‭, ‬10‭-‬10‭, ‬18‭-‬19 NLT
Our Father loves us . We must love like JESUS does . People are watching us so we need to do what’s right

  22. “For this is the message which you [believers] have heard from the beginning [of your relationship with Christ], that we should [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another;”
    ‭‭1 JOHN‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭AMP‬‬
In this world that we live in there’s so much sin iniquity. And it’s surrounded by hate and evil. The church must love one another and seek the best for one another. We must have unity and work together to add souls to the kingdom of God.

  23. AMP – 3 See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, we are [even here and] now children of God, and it is not yet made clear what we will be [after His coming]. We know that when He comes and is revealed, we will [as His children] be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is [in all His glory]. 3 And everyone who has this hope [confidently placed] in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure (holy, undefiled, guiltless).

It still takes separation from the world to be pleasing to Jesus. Too many have compromised their separation to please themselves, but we are not here to please our flesh, we are here to please Jesus. Those who are separated, holy, undefiled and guiltless will be counted the children of God.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

  24. 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

  26. 3:1 “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.”

If you are not spending time with Jesus, how is He going to “know” you and you “know” Him?

You are who you spend your time with.

We all have someone in our lives, we “know”. Rather a friend, family, or pet. When you “know” that person, you can tell when something is off about the person you know.

How much more will our Heavenly Father know about us in our relationship with Him?

  27. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

  28. We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
    1 John 3:16‭-‬17 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/1jn.3.16-17.NLT

In the age of the selfie where does the church fit in? It is so against the grain to put others before yourself these days, but that is exactly what John is talking about. To give up even a little bit of our own comfortable lives so that we can enrich the lives of others around us. If there is someone in need and we’re living comfortably, if we’re living well then why can we not share and what God has blessed us with. We are to build each other up, fill needs, Be the Church!

  29. “Little born-ones, stop allowing anyone to be leading you astray. The one who habitually does righteousness is righteous, just as that One is righteous. The one who is habitually committing sin is out of the devil as a source… Everyone who has been born out of God with the present result that he is a born-one of God does not habitually commit sin because His seed remains in him. And he is not able habitually to sin… In this is apparent who are the born-ones of God and the born-ones of the devil. Everyone who is not habitually doing righteousness is not of God, also the one who is not habitually loving his brother [Christian] with a divine and self-sacrificial love. Because this is the message which you heard from the beginning, namely, We should habitually be loving one another with a divine and self-sacrificial love… we know absolutely that we have passed over permanently out of the death into the life, because we are habitually loving the brethren with a divine and self-sacrificial love. The one who is not habitually loving in this manner is abiding in the sphere of the death. Everyone who habitually is hating his brother [Christian] is a manslayer. And you know absolutely that no manslayer has life eternal abiding in him. In this we have come to know by experience the aforementioned love, because that One on behalf of us laid down His soul. And, as for us, we have a moral obligation on behalf of our brethren to lay down our souls. But whoever has as a constant possession the necessities of life, and deliberately keeps on contemplating his brother constantly having need, and snaps shut his heart from him, how is it possible that the love of God is abiding in him? Little born-ones, let us not be loving in the sphere of word, nor even in the sphere of the tongue, but in the sphere of deed and truth. In this we shall know experientially that we are out of the truth, and in His presence shall tranquilize our hearts in whatever our hearts condemn us, because greater is God than our hearts and knows all things. Divinely loved ones, if our hearts are not condemning us, a fearless confidence we constantly have facing God the Father, and whatever we are habitually asking we keep on receiving from Him, because His commandments are habitually keeping with solicitous care, and the things which are pleasing in His penetrating gaze we are habitually doing. And this is His commandment, namely, We should believe the Name of His Son Jesus Christ, and be habitually loving one another even as He gave a commandment to us.”
1 John 3:7-23 Wuest Expanded Translation

Those who have truly been born of God show the following characteristics:
    * They do not make a habit of sinning
    * They do have a habit of doing righteousness (living righteously, or doing the right thing at all times)
    * They do not make a habit of ignoring the needs of others
    * They do not make a habit of feigning love with kind but empty words
    * They do make a habit of loving others self-sacrificially
    * They live habitually without condemnation and with constant confidence in answered prayer because they habitually do the will of God (which is living righteously and loving others).

    Our habits tell all.

  30. The greatest thing in life is to simply know God and to be known by him. I want to know him.
“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”
    ‭‭I John‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  31. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
    1 John 3:1 NIV

The word LAVISH means to bestow something in generous or extravagant quantities on. Surely God has poured a generous and extravagant (lacking restraint in spending money or using resources.) amount of love on us when He adopted us, gave us His Spirit, His name, His nature. It is like the father of the lost or prodigal son. He killed the fatted calf for us, He put the best robe of His righteousness on us, He gave us the family ring which represented the family wealth and He took away our slave status when He put shoes on our feet. Yet best of all, He ran to us, had compassion on us, hugged us and Loved us!!! What an awesome privilege to be sons and daughters of the one true living God!

  32. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
    1 John 3:16 KJV

    ‘I love you,’…

These words are loosley used now a days!! You can see it throught out the world. The bible does say in the book of Matthew ..because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.’ But true unconditional love takes action. And Jesus Christ showed His love when He died on the cross for us

The greatest way to show love for friends is to die for them.
    John 15:13 CEV

  33. “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:18-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Actions speak louder then words. We can say we love one another but the actions we do can show if we truly love our brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

  34. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

This verse really speaks to me about how as Christians we should always strive to be more like him and less like the world, and how we should always let god shine through us so that we can point the lost to him and build the kingdom for his glory and not ours.
    First the kingdom!

  35. 1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Little does the world know of the happiness of the real followers of Christ. Little does the world think that these poor, humble, despised ones, are favourites of God, and will dwell in heaven. Let the followers of Christ be content with hard fare here, since they are in a land of strangers, where their Lord was so badly treated before them. The sons of God must walk by faith, and live by hope. They may well wait in faith, hope, and earnest desire, for the revelation of the Lord Jesus. The sons of God will be known, and be made manifest by likeness to their Head. They shall be transformed into the same image, by their view of him.

  36. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

The Bible says to guide our hearts! The heart is VERY deceitful. It normally desires what our flesh desires. With the word of God, we can guide and lead our hearts the right place.

  37. v1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Having experienced the love of God,…we walk with JESUS in truth and godliness.

  38. “But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.”
‭‭#do sin like the devil 😈

  39. 7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

The spirit of deception is at a high. We must be diligent and watchfull over our souls to not fall into this trap from the enemy. We are either waking in righteousness, or not. Yet it is important for us to know where we are

  40. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers[b] does not belong to God.

Harsh Words but it’s the truth! Light and darkness can’t mix, a fig tree can’t produce apples, Jesus and satan can’t habitate together. Either we’re children of God or children of the devil. We can’t be standing in the middle and expect to live holy and yet sin. We have to understand why we’re living holy, why were doing it for God, why it’s important to stay sanctified. We can’t be children of God and keep sinning. Jesus help me love one another as you have loved us.

  41. 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Love is much more than words but is life. The things you do for others that they may not even know. The way you sacrifice and serve one another. God continues to give an example of love and wants us to show love to our brothers. Love is not that easy sometimes becuase it is a choice more than just an emotion. An emotion can be based on circumstances, on “how something made me feel” love is based on I will go through this cross for you. Love sees the greater value. Just like men are told to love their wives as Christ loves the church, love is an action. Even when you dont feel like it, love. Even when it’s hard, love. Even when it hurts, love. Love. God is love. We can then say that we can do all things through Love, which strengthens us.

  42. 1 John 3:23-24
    23) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
    24) And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

  43. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus

Just as children are rewarded for doing good, Jesus shows us favor when we walk in righteousness.

  44. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
    1 John 3:20‭-‬21 KJV

If our heart condemns us it tells us that we are no good to serve the Lord. Our heart will accuse us of being unfit or unworthy of his love. Follow your faith and you shall have confidence in God. He is protector he is our strength and he is our provider.
