Job 32

So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.

11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.

12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:

13 Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.

14 Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.

15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.

16 When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)

17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.

18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.

19 Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.

20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.

21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.

22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.

Just wanted to share that when you speak life into other people this is a very similar feeling. It’s almost a relief to you especially if you have a burden because at least now you know once you’ve spoke words of encouragement those people are gonna be thinking about it. It’s a seed being planted by you and that’s something to look at with value because you’re giving someone life. So speak life today in Jesus name!

When you train up a child and they dont depart from it, they are always always watching, and will hold you accountable for what your life is SUPPOSED to be! He was angry, he was probably depressed because of all the depressing words, I know I got sad for a but, He was probably like wait, what happened to encourage your self, what happened to trust the Lord? I had that experience yesterday, but it created an opportunity that encouraged someone even myself! God is Good, he knows what we need when we need it. Its important to not tear others down. their already upset and frustrated, sick and tired of being sick and tired, love, compassion, understanding, listening, encouragement, not feeding in to the negative part, and encouraging them to see the positive, goes along way!
You also have to remind people that you have been there before, I never forget where I came from or what I’ve been through, because how can I reach my family, and friends?

  4. I am like a cask of wine without a vent, like a new wineskin ready to burst! I must speak to find relief, so let me give my answers. I won’t play favorites or try to flatter anyone.

To be filled ready to burst open that is how we should feel. To speak to find relief that is how we should be with God’s word. So overwhelmed that His word should flow from us as honey from a honey pot. The relief should come to us in that we have spread the word that God is alive. God’s word isn’t to be used to give any man such a pedistool that he thinks himself higher than others. Just because you’re a minister or pastor doesn’t mean you are to put yourself above others. It actually is the opposite; humble yourself to serve those that follow you. That is what I love about our pastor. He is here to build us up and serve us through God. I know that just through seeing how pastor speaks to us. I thank you Jesus for the man you have put before me.

  5. Job 32-20 [ Amp] I speak, that I may get relief and be refreshed ; I will open my lips and answer. For I know not how to flatter, [ wasting my time in mere formalities, for then] my Maker would soon take me away. I will speak to people about my own testimony and how I find God. Making a new friend sharing the good news about what Jesus is doing. It’s a great experience to walk with Jesus. There is so much negative turn it around and speak postive to others. There is hope and truth with Jesus.

  6. 6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

A person can have wisdom no matter his age.

1Ti_4:12  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

  7. 18For I am full of words,
and the spirit within me compels me; NIV.

Elihu waited until Job’s friends were done trying to convince Job they knew what they were talking about. Sometimes men will try to convince you that they know everything and they have all the experience in the world to be experts on the matter. The most important trait of wisdom and knowledge is to know when to speak and when not to speak. Elihu stood and remained quiet because of the elders to him but as he stated sometimes when the spirit compels us to speak we have to speak. But make sure we are obeying God and only speak what he tells us to speak.

I have found over my years serving God, I have served with humility and allowed God to work through me in situations, but I still have not learned everything and have not seen everything that God has for me. I must stay humble to allow God to operate in my Life. Just because I may know what is going on doesn’t mean that I have to give my opinion, especially if I haven’t prayed and sought God’s wisdom on the matter. We seek first the kingdom and allow God to use us in situations that some have and we will see the miracles and wonders of God to take place. Humility, Honor, and patience is some of the learned traits that will allow us to prosper in the kingdom of God.

    I love the Kingdom!

  8. 7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

Although wisdom may come with age, it’s not the only factor. Wisdom doesn’t come by age but by fear of the Lord (i.e. the spirit of the almighty) that gives understanding. As young people we need to remember this and take advantage of it until life and the wisdom of other elders is able to teach us. It’s ok to rely on God for wisdom. It’s ok to not know and not have it all together because then an opportunity is made for us to humbly come before Him and seek wisdom. Let His spirit guide you, let His word speak to you.

  9. 8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

As a Church I believe that we need to continue to pray for understanding. Whether it is understanding of his word understanding of the situations or just understanding of the times to come. Understanding is what will help us to learn through every storm that we go through and become wiser. Understanding will help us to grow in patience. Understanding is a gift from God to see things in a different way. We need to continue to seek God and seek out his ways

  10. “I won’t play favorites or try to flatter anyone. For if I tried flattery, my Creator would soon destroy me.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭32:21-22‬ ‭NLT

We need the straight forward truth. Honesty is important. It amazes me how we get our feelings hurt or upset with someone who was blunt and honest. The truth hurts but again at least it’s the truth. I love when we get those messages that prick your heart and make you think and feel something inside. Those feel good messages do you no good because it just tickles your ears and doesn’t do any work on the heart. Don’t ask questions that you’re not ready for an honest answer.

  11. “I have waited all this time, listening very carefully to your arguments, listening to you grope for words. I have listened, but not one of you has refuted Job or answered his arguments.
    Job 32:11‭-‬12 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/job.32.11-12.NLT

Elihu waited respectful for his turn to speak. He respectfully stated that wisdom comes with age, but he points out that they accuse Job of all these things but they never answer his questions. The phrase ” Knowledge talks but wisdom listens” comes to mind. Elihu proved by his silence who had more wisdom of the four friends.

  12. Sometime the best thing to do is to be quiet people these days are always trying to get the last word out they won’t stop until the word are said but what would happen if we let God have the word we got to know the time to said something and the time not to say anything

  13. Job 32
20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.

The Joy of being in the presence of God. I will lift up my voice to the lover of my soul.
I will dance in His presence sing and laugh for He is the drink of water that refreshes my soul.

1 Samuel 16:23 New International Version (NIV)
23 Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.

    11 Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Job’s friend had something to say . He had waited but it seem to be burning in his heart . Waiting to say something either allows to know if it should be spoken or not . I find that if it is truly a word from God ……God will make room for it to be spoken . If not then many times it can be a word for ourself. Again if we still feel it is God given opportunity will come to be able to share it. Oh the beauty of God and all His glory .

  14. iLove the Kingdom
8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

True revelation does not happen in the brain…true revelation happens in the spirit. The mind is what we take to school. The mind is where the majority of the worlds religions are stored…The Word of God is far superior than the mind of man. Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

This scripture proves revelation from God doesn’t happen in the mind. The spoken Word pierces through the mind and penetrates into the spirit. No other religion has that power. God chose the foolishness of preaching to win the world.

  15. 7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

When we try to come to know God by intellect only, we rob ourselves. There is a much deeper and truer way; it’s when we open our spirit to His Spirit that we reach that personal level with Him.

  16. Respect through adversity

4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

Elihu showed respect for His elders. Even when no one else would answer, he then spoke. In a generation where it seems that they are out spoken, rude, and have no respect. I would ask that we take another look at the generation. Yes, they speak more than they should, yes the dont listen as often as most would like. However, there are some of us, who still respect authority, who want to do what’s right, and who want a better life. But growing up in a generation where the family is breaking up into smaller and smaller pieces, where is the authority in this life?
I have the opportunity to work with this generation, and I will say what they are looking for is, someone to love them. Ot doesnt look like it, but they just want someone to care enough about them to tell them the truth. I send a challenge out to all in the church body, if you see a young person do something, or say something. Take them and mentor them. Dont just leave it up to the teachers at school, Sunday school teacher, and the youth worker. We need the church to back us up, in what we are teaching them.
I dare you ,to seek ye First the Kingdom in our young people and see what God does.

  17. 2 … because he justified himself rather than God.

We must learn to stop making excuses for our sin and confront it as the evil it truly is. We need an awareness of what our sin is, what it does to us, and how it affects others. Some sins are easily identified as sin and we can immediately repent for them. Others, we sometimes feel we have justification for and tend to hold on to. For example, anger. Ephesians 4:26 “Be ye angry, and sin not.

We deceive ourselves into believing that our anger is righteous, that it is just the same as God’s anger. Sometimes it is, but I predict – if we are honest with ourselves – far more often it is not righteous anger. When we commit sexual sin, we usually blame our lustful hearts. When we commit theft, we usually blame a lack of satisfaction in the things we have and want more, bigger, better things. When we sin in anger, we tend to forgive ourselves by justifying the circumstances around the anger. If the child has obeyed the rules, if the driver had not cut me off… it’s not my fault!

When it comes to the sin of anger, we can always find an explanation to excuse ourselves. We can always dump this sin in the lap of fatigue or hormones or waking up on the wrong side of the bed or something—anything!—else.

    James 4: 1-3 MSG
Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don’t have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn’t yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. You wouldn’t think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you’d be asking for what you have no right to. You’re spoiled children, each wanting your own way.

  18. I once believed age was the source of wisdom; now I truly realize wisdom comes from God. Age is no guarantee of wisdom and understanding.
    Job 32:7‭-‬9 CEV

‘Silence is key!’ I’d rather speak a word of wisdom that comes from GOD, than to speak something foolish in the ears of the hearer. Through out the book of Proverbs much is said about wisdom. We also should be seeking GOD for wisdom just as much. Wisdom will take you further in life than the wealth of this world.

  19. 1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

The very first thought I had on Elihu’s anger was that we are not to rebuke an elder. True, Elder’s don’t always have the correct answer or their wisdom may not be complete, but the Bible instructs us to not rebuke them, then it also gives us an antidote: that in the multitude of counselors there is safety. When we place several elders together that love the Lord and his word, we can place things in their hands for reasoning and the result will be more true. However as for Job, he incorrectly blames God, rightly upholds his integrity, then all these men missed the true meaning behind Job’s trial. God does try us so that he can bring us out of the fire purified.

  20. “I thought, ‘Those who are older should speak, for wisdom comes with age.’ But there is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them, that makes them intelligent.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭32:7-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  21. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    SPIRITUAL WISDOM

8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

The ways and moves of GOD are far above and beyond human understanding. We are often absent of understanding of JESUS and HIS ways. For this reason FAITH is imperative to our life and daily decisions.

But, we have this HOPE in times of critical decision. “The ALMIGHTY giveth them understanding”. As we continue to Seek FIRST The Kingdom of GOD we draw closer to and understand deeper, what it is that JESUS is speaking, doing, accomplishing in us.

The value of understanding is that it provides motivation and inspiration for us to continue persevering in FAITH.

Lets seek the LORD today FIRST.

  22. MSG – 6-10 This is what Elihu, son of Barakel the Buzite, said:

    “I’m a young man,
and you are all old and experienced.
    That’s why I kept quiet
and held back from joining the discussion.
I kept thinking, ‘Experience will tell.
The longer you live, the wiser you become.’
    But I see I was wrong—it’s God’s Spirit in a person,
the breath of the Almighty One, that makes wise human insight possible.
    The experts have no corner on wisdom;
getting old doesn’t guarantee good sense.

When we get caught up in “our way” and “our thinking” we make a total mess of things. What once was wrong is now right, and nothing will change our minds. It’s during those times that instead of seeking the counsel of our pastor and elders in our lives, we cut them off as well, thinking we know best, and we have a “new” revelation that others don’t know about. We think to ourselves, nothing is wrong with me, I have it all together, I am right.

It’s that kind of stinking attitude that gets us in trouble. God’s word is always right and God is always right, whether we want to believe it or not. We must find a place of prayer and humble our arrogant selves and allow God to speak to us through His word and His men in authority and then do what we are told.

I’m fearful to think I’m too high and mighty that I can do no wrong, and I have it all figured it. I must let wisdom speak into my life and exchange my self righteousness for God’s righteousness.

  23. 8 But it is the spirit in a person,
the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.

Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything 2 Tim 2:7

Evil men do not understand justice, But those who seek the LORD understand all things. Proverbs 28:5

Jesus is the one who gives us understand. If you are in need, seek Jesus. If you are frustrated, seek Jesus. If you are upset/angry/sad/confused SEEK JESUS!!! He’s the only one that can help us. He’s the only one that can bring us that revelation, understanding, and peace we seek for. Jesus is the answer to it all!! Don’t let everything in this world consume you but seek Jesus and he shall give you that understanding.

  24. 7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
With Age comes wisdom and understanding

  25. Job 32:8, “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”

Inspiration in the Hebrew means wind or breath. So it is the “breath” or Spirit of God that gives men (man’s spirit) understanding.

2 Timothy 2:7b says, “… and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.”

  26. “I must speak to find relief, so let me give my answers. I won’t play favorites or try to flatter anyone. For if I tried flattery, my Creator would soon destroy me.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭32:20-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬
It’s may be good to have friends that have your back. And could tell you the truth about anything.

  27. I Love To Worship The Lord
With the East characteristic respect for age Elihu has remained silent while his elders debated. Now they have fallen silent and Elihu is eager to have his say
In this lengthy discourse Elihu often quotes Jobs words and questions specific views Job has expressed

  28. “It’s God’s Spirit in a person, the breath of the Almighty One, that makes wise human insight possible.”
    Job 32:8 MSG

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
    1 Corinthians 2:10‭-‬16 KJV

“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.”
    Proverbs 2:5‭-‬8 KJV

We cannot seek godly counsel from worldly men; for, without the Spirit of God, they cannot understand the things of God. When we go to theologians or counselors who don’t have the Holy Ghost for an understanding of life’s problems, no matter how many educational degrees they have, they can only give worldly advice. Even though worldly wisdom can be helpful in practical matters, we cannot trust our souls to carnal men.

If we don’t understand what we are going through, we need to seek the Spirit of God for His wisdom. If we are having a hard time discerning what the Spirit is saying, then we can turn to leaders who also have His Spirit for help.

However, sometimes we have to accept that it is better for us to trust the plan of God than to know it. When the Spirit is silent, we must learn to wait rather than to seek worldly counsel. In time (often after the trial is over), we will discover that God was with us, leading and teaching us, even in His silence. The carnal mind cannot conceive of this, but those who have His Spirit know it’s true: God’s Spirit can shine the brightest in darkness and speak the loudest through silence.

“Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
    Psalms 27:14 KJV

  29. “I won’t play favorites or try to flatter anyone. For if I tried flattery, my Creator would soon destroy me.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭32:21-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus wants us to hear the truth! Sometimes it’s amazing news, sometimes it has to pierce our hearts. If you don’t ever feel convicted or challenged in your walk with God, you’re not doing something right. Read the word of God, examine yourself, and guide your heart to the truth.

  30. Job 32:8

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

This was before Jesus sent the Holy Ghost!

  31. Job had 3 friends and one man got mad at Job and his three friends because jobs friends didn’t have a answer. I learned not to get mad at people but ask Jesus for the answer. -Zion

  32. Elihu was respectful enough to wait yet in his waiting he was frustrated with Job and his friends. He lets us in on a very important life lesson. Age doesn’t always mean wisdom. Wisdom is the application of knowledge and knowledge is only found when we are willing to seek understanding. We can go through life and life experience and never truly gain wisdom.

I can show you how to make a cake you could even take the time to get your hands dirty and help but unless your willing to take what is been shown to you and apply it to the next time you have to make a cake you will be lost in the process.

So I desire to keep seeking Him that I may know Him and understand Him and He will give me revelation.

  33. What came to me was when, Job got upset beacause he did not know why God gave him all of those bad things to him, but really it was a test to see what Job did. 35. So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
    Job 32:1 KJV
the Bible says cast not your pearls before swine in other words if they’re not ready to receive it don’t share it. Job eventually would listen when God speaks to him. Jesus taught us the heart must be prepared like soil for the seed in order for the Word to be effective.
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
    James 1:21
The Word must also be mixed with faith for it to produce something in your life:
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
    Hebrews 4:2 KJV
If you don’t believe what the preacher is saying, don’t complain to God when you don’t receive anything!
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
    Hebrews 11:6

  36. 2 Then Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite, of the clan of Ram, became angry. He was angry because Job refused to admit that he had sinned and that God was right in punishing him.

Nobody likes to admit their sin. We all like to keep our sins to ourselves. But all we have to do is ask God to forgive us of our sins. We can admit our sins to God, and be forgiven.

  37. 7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

Their is a difference between getting older and growing up. Some can grow older but never mature. For instance some can go to church for years and never mature spiritually. Growth can be both physical and spiritual. In fact, as our bodies become older the higher the risk of Alzheimer disease and dementia. The mind is a terrible thing to waste without the renewing of our mind through Christ Jesus. How we apply that knowledge determines how wise one can become. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. When we seek out wisdom God will reveal these things to us.

Elihu has been holding his piece for awhile now by trying to be respectful to his elders. Which is something our generation can take note of. Respect and humbling ones self shows Elihu’s maturity. He is right that the young can also be wise. However, this is another hollow answer to Jobs situation because he truly is innocent and righteous.

  38. But there is [a vital force and] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
    JOB 32:8 AMP

There is a big difference between your understanding and God’s understanding. Just because life gives you lemons doesnt mean they are meant to be lemonaid, maybe God had bigger plains for them. God presents opportunity to go deeper into prayer deeper into your spirit, maybe because your getting a little head strong, and instead of leaning on God’s will you might have taken charge a little to quick. Like Job’s friends they jumped the gun and could find Job at no fault and had no answers to why these things were happening to him. They only assumed he had done somthing wrong. They took accurances and made their own assumptions. I think they should have been encouraging him to go deeper into prayer rather then trying to understand why. It might have helped Job rather then put him further down and on the defence. Somtimes things happen and there is no explanation other then God decided to teach a lesson, and somtimes its not even a lesson for us its for someone else. So sit back and give God his glory during the hard times, he will always make a way.

  39. God is able to give us understanding in any situation. It may not look the way you want it to, but God is able to open every eye. Our help is in the Lord who made heaven and earth.

  40. 10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.

After reading this several times there was only one thing that kept coming to mind. The scripture in proverbs 17:28
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

We should always watch what we say and how we say it. There is power in our speech but what are the motives behind how and what we say? That should he something to ask, especially if it stirs you up that you feel you’re about to burst.

  41. In every aspect of our lives, we must seek the wisdom of God by seeking Him first. When we bring it to our altar, we keep ourselves from giving our own opinion or speaking our own mind.

Proverbs 9:10 AMP “The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence], And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and spiritual insight.”

Proverbs 4:6-7 AMP “Do not [a]turn away from her (Wisdom) and she will guard and protect you; Love her, and she will watch over you. “The beginning of wisdom is: Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]! And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation].”

  42. 6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

He was afraid to share his opinion because Job was so old and he was young. He felt as though he didn’t have any wisdom to give. Yet he also believed that with age comes wisdom and he thought Job would have had more.

Sometimes I feel this way. I have an opinion but I feel as though I shouldn’t share it. Because surely who I want to share it with knows what they are talking about by looking at their age. However, that’s not always true. Sometimes you should share your opinion and thoughts. The key is not being ugly or rude when conveying your message. Sometimes I want to tell some younger than me also to hold their tongue. Again, I keep my peace.
