Acts Chapter 26 – 26/40

Day 26: Acts Ch.26. Paul finally gets an opportunity to defend himself before high ranking Roman officials. However, instead of making it a defense for his release, Paul proclaims and defends the Gospel.

Pray for a desire to contend for the Gospel and see others come to Christ.

Acts 26

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;

Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

30 And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.

  1. “We all fell down, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is useless for you to fight against my will. ’ “‘Who are you, lord?’ I asked. “And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future. And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’ “And so, King Agrippa, I obeyed that vision from heaven. I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God—and prove they have changed by the good things they do. Some Jews arrested me in the Temple for preaching this, and they tried to kill me. But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭26:14-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You never know what you’re testimony can do and sometimes God puts you on a path to share it even though some might not receive it there are those who do.

  2. 7In fact, that is why the twelve tribes of Israel zealously worship God night and day, and they share the same hope I have. Yet, Your Majesty, they accuse me for having this hope!

We all get accused and mocked for having hope in Jesus. We put our faith in Jesus and get ridiculed by the unrighteousness. This goes on daily. But you must pray daily to have that fire burn within you constantly. For if the fire dies out, your faith and hope will also die out.

  3. 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

In all things be ye content!

I find that through all the accusations and all the frustrations that Paul made this profound statement “I think myself happy!”. No matter what those non believers tried to do, he had enough faith in God to remain happy and content. We have a command before God to be content with everything that God has given us. Remember that when he releases things in our life, they are there for a reason. God has sent things to try our faith and we can not allow our flesh to rise against these tests and trials because we are being challenged in our Faith.

In all things we must believe he is and that he is a rewarder of them that seek him. Paul knew if he would just remain faithful that God would see him through to the end of the trial. No matter how difficult it becomes if we hold fast or just stand still and see God’s presence in the midst of our circumstances to guide us and keep us. Hold to the unchanging hand of God.

If we seek first the kingdom of God then there will be no doubt that we will have faith that God will pull us through. Even when the storm rages around us we will not be lost because of the hand of God. Keep the faith and keep pushing forward the kingdom of God. We have been given our mission!

    I love the Kingdom!

  4. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Just like Paul we have a purpose to reach the lost and lead them to Christ. Be sensitive to the moving of His Spirit today and let God lead you and use you!

  5. 20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Repentance is not just being sorry for what you have done but turning around away from sin and here it shows that you MUST SHOW YOUR WORKS OF REPENTENCE!!!!!! I think is that simple if you did BAD before you MUST NOW DO GOOD!!! Psalm 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

So show your WORKS OF REPENTANCE so you may be found holy and sanctified in the eyes of the LORD.

  6. Acts 26
2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Paul sets the stage within his mind his thoughts before he proceeds to speak.
Setting his mind on the affections above and what God had done for him….,,,

How many times do we allow life to cause us to become despondent or beaten down. Every day their is opportunity for defeat. But even in the midst of adversity we have the ability to think to our thoughts to rise above the situation. And when we may not be a able to do it this is why we have prayer partners, someone we can be real with . God is our refuge God puts people into our lives to team up with to encourage. Yes we can think ourself happy and God can heal the deep wounds inside. We may forget where Paul actually came from . We too must replay in our minds what God has done in our lives . Just the nerd thought of how Hd had brought us out of darkness into His Light brings Happy!!!!!
    I think myself Happy!!!!

    Almost is not Enough
28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

Jesus today I pray for those who have spoken these same words . Almost thou persudest me….
We cannot allow these words to discourage us. I pray that whatever circumstances we may find ourself in that Holy Ghost boldness will rise up .
I pray for every child woman and man in the city of Fort Worth that somewhere who ever they are will not say Almost you have persuaded me. In Jesus name.

  7. 19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

What is our first response? Paul’s first response was to the heavenly kingdom, and so should ourselves be. When we first build our alter, then we hear more clearly, when Jesus is telling us to speak, and what he is telling us to say.

  8. And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

30 And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

  9. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them: And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

Awesome…Almost presued,I think about the bible studies that I have taught and I could get discouraged and frustrated, but it’s not about me. They took a step and allowed me to do it, they took a step of faith and believed! God is so good, I think when people think of all that they were about to give up they didnt want to take that step. because that step means giving g up some things! Paul loves God and he loves to preach the Gospel, every chapter shows his passion! Lord let me have passion, not for men to acknowledge, but let it be evident to you!

Everyday we have to defend our faith. Just as Paul had to defend the gospel; almost isn’t good enough. How can you almost be a Christian? When traveling we say almost there. When finishing a project it’s almost done. People say almost only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades. Almost really doesn’t count for anything when it comes to God. Almost is just as bad as what if; what if I did this different. I almost had God’s hand; the ones that say almost are the ones that say yeah, but no. What causes the almost; fear. To me when somebody says you almost convinced me. That is the same as saying I’m afraid of the unknown and I don’t want to go there. Lord lead me today; that I may know and remove the almost from my life. Keep me and guide me bbn on Your path.

  11. Acts Chapter 26 verse 29-31
    29. Jesus has said Paul not only thou but almost and altogether hear these bonds on this day.
    30. And when King Jesus rose up and spoken Bernice the governor sat with them.
    31. And When they were talking between themselves they had gone aside to do nothing but bonds of death

  12. 1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews

By the power of the spirit Paul was able to turn his entire situation around by looking at the situation differently. Rather than grieving and pleading for mercy and asking to be released he made a statement that echoed his attitude. He spoke with such conviction and fervency that he almost persuaded a judge to not only release him but to join him in his walk. if only we would take every situation that we are put in as an opportunity to witness it would revolutionize our entire lives.

  13. 18. It will be your mission to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God. This is so that they may receive forgiveness of all their sins and have a place among those who are set apart for a holy purpose through having faith in Me.” Voice

How will we turn their eyes from darkness to the Light? Let them see God’s Fire burning in us as we seek His Kingdom first.

    Matthew 5:
    14. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

    15. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

    16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. KJV

    Believe!
Believe the Bible, from Genesis to Revelations.
    Don’t question it.
Be willing and open and let us pray for a constant revelation of it.
    Yes,God is able.

  15. Paul replied, “Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.”

And Agrippa said to Festus, “He could have been set free if he hadn’t appealed to Caesar.”
Acts of the Apostles 26:29‭, ‬32 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.26.29-32.NLT

We shouldn’t be so quick and easy to dismiss or discredit our circumstance. If Paul had not appealed to Caesar he would have not brought the gospel to the heart of the Roman Empire, thereby fulfilling more of God’s will in his life.

  17. You guys ever talk to somebody out okay outreach or at Walmart. And your talking about church and the amazing things God has done? You get so deep that the Conversation is building your faith. And you can feel that the other person is building their faith too.
Then all of the sudden they realize that they still rather live a life that’s in discipline or pleasing to them self. So they start fading themself away from the conversation. And you realize it. They want to change their life. They want to have a moving of God….. but…..

“Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.”

    THE POWER OF YOUR TESTIMONY

27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

Even Kings will hear our TESTIMONY of this Gospel and be Impacted. We have no control over the response of the hearer. We are however called and sent to share JESUS with everyone.

I love to tell my testimony of how JESUS destroyed the yoke of addiction to alcohol in me through the Power of JESUS name. When I was Baptized in the Name of JESUS on September 13, 1988. The yokes of of alcohol and hate were destroyed by the Name and Blood of JESUS. I have never been the same.

I live to see the same yokes destroyed in others as we witness their chaos broken and lives changed. TODAY is the DAY of SALVATION. Lets GO tell everyone about the the Love and Power in JESUS name.

  19. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
    Acts 26:15

    But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
    Acts 26:16

Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
    Acts 26:17

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
    Acts 26:18

    After all that truth.

And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
    Acts 26:24

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
    Acts 26:28

It almost sounds like he was making fun of Paul. Sounds familiar nowadays after much witness sing. They whisper to themselves loud enough for us to hear it here comes the Christian guy or the Alleluia man. Not knowing that it is a honor to be called a Christian.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  20. iLove the Kingdom
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

This newly transformed Saul gives his testimony.

Jesus feels our pain. Right here he stops Saul in his tracks from a life of persecution, murder, and false imprisonment in the name of religion. Wow, what an Awesome God! Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Our testimony is powerful. Paul gives his and almost persuades the King to become a Christian.

  21. 9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
Jesus is God, who was robed in flash to redeem us from the penality of sin. Many religions teach the trinity as seperate enities. Often people that are not gronded in the word are susceptible to flase doctrines, like the Mormon and Catholic church.

  22. 26For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

No matter what is happening, we must share what we know about the Gospel. No matter the education level of someone, everyone should hear about Jesus saving power. SEEK after Him and know that he is God.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

  23. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

    16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

Paul is revealing to us what we should do if we are in the same situation. Everything should point to Jesus Christ and him crucified and that should constantly be on our minds. It has to become our lifestyle. Paul was not worried about what was happening to him because he had already made up his mind that he was ready to die for the truth, regardless of whether he was guilty or not. When we become crucified with Christ daily, nothing will phase us and we will witness regardless.

  24. “Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him, And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him. But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither. Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭25:2-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes there are many accusations. People unjustly accuse you of things. Like Paul we have the ability to appeal to someone higher. When God is in control you allow him to make judgements. His ways are not our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts. He has an expected end for us. We simply have to trust him and just keep standing.

  25. Proverbs 26:26 (KJV) Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

    16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

  26. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers: Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
    Acts 26:6‭-‬7 KJV

Unrecognized answers to prayer blind us to God’s goodness and often cause us to do foolish and hurtful things. The Jews had been praying for the Messiah to come but were completely clueless when He did. The answer to all their hopes and prayers walked among them, fulfilling one prophecy after another, and yet they kept looking for another answer.

The reasons they missed it are the same reasons we often fail to recognize His answers today: ignorance of His Word, picking and choosing verses to match our preconceived ideas, and following tradition rather than searching for truth.

The loudest voices aren’t always right; they are usually the ones crying “Crucify Him!” Neither is the majority opinion always a safe one. Many sincere believers have been deceived by doctrines of devils and opinions of men that have taken root and been repeated by the masses. We must lay aside our preconceived ideas, and the expectations based on those misconceptions, and pray that God open our eyes to a revelation of truth and a recognition of how He is moving in our lives.

  27. “For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The things that God does are not often hidden. God does this so he can get all the glory.

  28. 2 I think myself happy
In the midst of judgement and death Paul thought himself happy.when the enemy was coming in like a flood he thought himself happy.if we get in the mindset of thinking ourselves happy no matter the situation watch God begin to change things in your life cause you never know when God will give you the opportunity to reach the ones around you .how can you reach those around you and hear his voice if you are having a pity party over the things that have taken place.we must think ourselves happy.

  29. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

    The Almost factor

It’s an oxymoron really, All-meaning everything, Most-meaning only some. It’s doing everything to get to heaven but! It’s exact what happen to the rich young ruler, he had done everything and was ready, and Jesus said this one thing is needed! And he ALMOST got saved!

  30. And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
    Acts 26:24‭-‬25 KJV
We do not have to accept the labels this world tries to put on us. We do need to accept the Word and what God says about us! Paul refused to accept Festus’ label when he said, I am not mad! For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power of Love and a sound mind. This reminds me of a message Jeff Arnold preaching when he said I am not an Egyptian, referring to Moses when Scripture says when he was come to years he refused to be called the son of Pharoahs daughter. We shall believe the report of the Lord!

  31. Acts 26:21 [Amp ] Because of the these things the Jews seized me in the temple [ enclosure] and tried to do away with me. Our help comes from God as our saviour and so I can stand here testifying to small and great things. I must think myself happy and my myself happy . We must believe in the report of the Lord. I will share my testimony to others. And keep on and living for Jesus. Lord,my prayer today that every man, women, and child will come to you. Let you light shine and don’t let it go out. In Jesus name.

  32. 5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Your testimony and the word of God is very powerful when you’re witnessing to people.

  33. 19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

  34. “In fact, that is why the twelve tribes of Israel zealously worship God night and day, and they share the same hope I have. Yet, Your Majesty, they accuse me for having this hope!”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭26:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

40 Days of Fire is about having our fire day and bingo night and day for 40 days, but is not just for this time, we should have our fire burning all year long. Worship, praise and have our altar day and night.

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.
    Joshua 1:8

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
    Psalms 1:2

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
    2 Chronicles 7:14

Then the lookout called, “O Lord, I stand continually by day on the watchtower, And I am stationed every night at my guard post.
    Isaiah 21:8

  35. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

    16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

  36. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers. I think this pleased Paul to be in this position to have the opportunity to try and convince his accusers once more of the love of God through Jesus.

  37. “Why does it seem incredible to any of you that God can raise the dead?

Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future. And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭26:8, 16-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The first verse is the world the next part is what Jesus wants us to do. It’s simple. After listening to the word tonight and at the end of service Pastor corrected himself when he said the word “incredible” me being curious I asked myself why so as I was reading I clicked on the word incredible and it’s actually a negative adjective
    disbelieving, i.e. without Christian faith
That’s what I got, so this second part what Jesus wants us to do is share our testimony He simply said TELL people you have seen me. So we must tell people what God is doing what he’s done for us and let his Glory be seen. To what people? Easy. The gentiles the ones that find it incredible that God can raise the dead.. go share your testimony in Jesus name!

  38. Paul started his defense explaining that he was a fariseo. The Pharisees believe in the resurrection of death in the eternity. He was explained that he was jealous, and he persecuted the church and he obligated the saints to blaspheme the name of Jesus. When He saw a light and heard the voice if Jesus. I am Jesus who thou persecutest.
    I will appear unto thee;
    17. Delivering thee fr9m ether people , and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee;
    18. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkest to light, and from the power of satan unto God, the they may receive forgiveness of sins , and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
We have to open our eyes and become to power of satan unto God. The Lord use our lives to open the eyes that are in the power of the darkeness to come to the Light.

  39. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

As Paul is going through all these trials as he is pleading his case, he is still delivering the message of Jesus Christ. There are ears that are hearing the truth. Lord Jesus i pray that no matter the struggle in persistance we have, lord let our hearts still be burdened to go out and deliver the message. Lord let us learn to love that burden and find great joy when we are able to reach souls. Jesus i pray that this love never gets old and we stay eager to lead others to know you. In Jesus name, Amen!

  40. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

  41. Acts chapter 26 verses 5 and 6 Which knew me from the beginning, If they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers, verse 7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come for which hope’s sake, king Agrippa I am accused of the Jews, NOW Paul he still trying to prove he’s innocent about the law and the resurrection, but the religion people they were so stack into the mans teaching versus reading the prophets, And this people they do like to kill people, this religious people they being waiting for these prophecies but they don read about it , Similar like the church of today days we being waiting for the great day of the Lord the second coming of Jesus but no one teach the biblical way, many churches , they do preach the secret rapture which is not biblical, But not the biblical, second coming of Jesus , The real biblical coming of the great day of the Lord Jesus Christ,

  42. King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
    Acts 26:27 KJV

‘I KNOW that thou believest’ people will say that they believe the gospel. Why is it that they choose to believe some but not all? Praying for those who think the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues is only for some and not all. Help me pray for my family members in Jesus Name!!!

  43. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

I am always in wonder about how the prophets could prophesy all the things that would happen and all the Jews believed it but when those things actually started happening they couldn’t believe it?? I guess it is like us in the modern day church. We can believe a prophesy for the far out future but if it starts to happen to us right now we dismiss it. I believe God in this time is trying to wake us and shake us up to the fact that the prophesies of old are for this time and for us. We have to not only believe that they are going to happen but also that it will happen to us. I want a first hand experience with God, not just bible stories told to me.

  44. Acts 26:2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

I Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be trouble ; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

  45. 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

How many believe yet will not come to the Lord? Tonight Bro Mahaney reached for those who have not yet made their move toward God, or toward baptism and yet they believe. The lie that we have plenty of time to get right is an example of the battle of the 2 Kings. Let the King of Glory rule and reign in your life today while it is still Day.

  46. I this chapter….

2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

  47. Sometimes we have to think ourselves happy. There are situations that we will go through where we will feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. It is in that time we must look unto Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. When the things of life are thrown your way, you must think yourself happy. When your friends start to talk about you and say all manner of evil things against you, you have to think yourself happy. It is in those times we can show our strength in God.

  48. 7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

Twelve tribes were serving God Day and night. Night and day. Make me a house of prayer.

8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

Don’t be the person that can’t believe the miracles God is capable of.

  49. 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Can we be happy in the middle of accusations? When the Lord is on your side you can. When your innocent you can answer with boldness and nothing VanNess come between you and Him.

  50. 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

    I Think Myself…
How many battles are lost or won just in the mind? The enemy constantly bombards ones mind with negative thoughts. He belittles you. Tells you what you can’t that there is no way or hope, or how big or impossible you situation mY be. The grasshopper mentality has robbed many of their promises and great things God wants to do in our lives. “But in our eyes and theirs we were as grasshoppers”, said the spies that brought back an evil report. And the Lord does not honor an evil report. After all that He has done and yet still you fear and have no faith…have no love towards God. Perfect love casts out fear. Perfect love builds trust, builds faith. My father will not fail says the person that has found HIM, loves, and is loved by HIM. For His trust is in the Lord. His mind is at rest and confident in HIM. The peace of God guards his mind and his heart. Albeit, to some, they still believe the lie of the enemy. If he constantly is telling you how small and incapable you are is because it’s a lie and he sees the potential if you saw yourself with GODs eyes. The key is to not be conformed but be transformed by the renewing of the mind through the WORD of God. Then you get to know Love, God. Then you trust and confidence is in Him and Him alone. And what the Word says you are you begin to think and see yourself as.

I think I can, for I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I think I can overcome for we are more than conquerors.
I think I can be used of God, for it is not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord.
I think I will be blessed and recieve the promises of God, for the promises of God are in Him yea and in Him amen…

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
    Proverbs 23:7 KJV

“Whether you think you can or you think you cant, you are right.”- Henry Ford.

  51. “Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You may speak in your defense.” So Paul, gesturing with his hand, started his defense:”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭26:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Recently I had the pleasure of serving my civil duty and was on jury seat for a case in Tarrant County. What I found so strange was man on trial never took the stand and testified for himself. Understanding we have the fifth amendment, however I pray I am more like Paul vs the man.

That no matter how we may sound or look, well stand for the truth of the gospel. That through every judgement and every trial we will spread the Light of the Word. I would hope we take the liberty and freedom of the pure foundation of the Word of God to stand and testify to all just as Paul!

  52. Verses 28-29 MSG “But Agrippa did answer: “Keep this up much longer and you’ll make a Christian out of me!” Paul, still in chains, said, “That’s what I’m praying for, whether now or later, and not only you but everyone listening today, to become like me—except, of course, for this prison jewelry!” We might not see the results right away; but, whether now or later we should want the same as Paul and share our testimony. We may not think that some people are even listening to a word we are saying; but, they are. It is all in God’s time and in His manner, we just have to keep sharing.

  53. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

This shows how much people misuse the word incredible. In this context you can see that incredible is used in a negative context, not something that would be considered uplifting like using the adjective “amazing”. Here Paul is saying basically why do they think the raising of the dead is so unbelievable to them. God has done so many miraculous feats for the Jewish people over the centuries, did raising the dead really seem like something that God wasn’t capable of doing? It’s incredible the lies people believe from the enemy sometimes.

  54. Acts 26:2, “I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:”

    “I Think Myself Happy”
There are going to be many times in our life, when no one else is there to encourage us, that we are just going to have to “Think Ourself Happy” and Encourage Ourself in the Lord. Phil. 4:8 says, “Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” When we begin to think upon the Goodness of God and His Word and upon things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report, we will “Think Ourselves Happy!”

  55. ““‘Who are you, lord?’ I asked. “And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting.(‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭26:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Sometimes we don’t realize those that we hurt are the ones we love the most. Paul understands now, that his zealous actions persecuting the Christians was only hurting Jesus. He gained the revelation that their is One God, and his name is Jesus. He was just like the Jews that oppose him now. Paul gets to testify before King Agrippa, who also doesn’t truly know who Jesus us.

  56. Vision Brings Victory
    Acts 27:19,20
Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

Obedience to the vision motivates us to act . It fulfills us.

  57. “But Agrippa did answer: “Keep this up much longer and you’ll make a Christian out of me!” Paul, still in chains, said, “That’s what I’m praying for, whether now or later, and not only you but everyone listening today, to become like me—except, of course, for this prison jewelry!””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:28-29‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Oh Lord, That is my prayer! Everyone would become Christians as we testify and share the gospel. Pour your Spirit out on this region of Fort Worth and surrounding counties.

  58. “I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:17-18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When God appeared before Paul he told him he would save him from his people when he was trying to share the good news with them which explains Paul’s calm demeanor throughout this whole scenario. Don’t forget the things God has spoken into your life, stay calm and know that he will always keep his word and so as he says he will do.
