Genesis 9

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.

Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.

11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

  1. “And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Talk about responsibility “ into your hands are they delivered”.

  2. In reading this chapter this morning, I remember seeing this very sign of the covenant last week as I drove into work. The rainbow before me was so beautiful and I was in awe of the awesomeness of my God.

1 Corinthians 1:9 AMP “God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on], and through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

  3. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

Such a Beautiful promise!!!! Our God NEVER BREAKS HIS COVENANT!!! It is men that forgets Him. It is men that stops communing with God, looking for Him, spending time with Him, and making Him their up most priority. God never forgets us! The Rainbow 🌈 should be a reminder to men that GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKES US!!!! Thank you Jesus for your covenant!

  4. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

Be fruitful and multiply- spiritual children

As I read this chapter, verse 7 stuck in my head and saying this is a commandment that we can easily fulfill in the church. Noah and his family were
The only human flesh alive on the face of the earth and today we see more than 7 billion people. We have a responsibility to God to multiply the church and bring in new babies in the Holy Ghost. We have a commandment to be witnesses unto Jesus throughout the land. There is no rest for the weary because we are living in the last days and we are running out of time. We have to push through this untoward generation and win as many as we can. It is not hard in a world where many are seeking the truth. Seeking first the kingdom of God will give us the boost we need to be bold and witness of the goodness of Jesus.

  5. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

    Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1 KJV

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12 KJV

God made a covenant with man and gave a sign to remind us of His promise. But do we keep our promises to God? Powerful thought that I myself am guilty of not be as faithful at times as I should have been. Thank you, Lord for your grace and mercy!

  6. 17. Look for the rainbow, and remember My promise. With it I sign the covenant I have made between Me and all the living creatures residing on the earth. Voice

    Acts 1:4
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. KJV

    2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. KJV

God cannot lie, and He loves us so much that He would never break His promises, even if He could, so we can actively look for and wait on what He promised us to come to pass. So whatever He has promised you, it is going to come to pass, nothing can stop it.

    Romans 8:
    38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

    39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  7. Genesis 9: 11] I will establish My covenant or pledge with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood; neither shall there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth and make it corrupt. . The rainbow is a reminder that all men . God will keep his promise and God will not Ever leave us or Forsake us. Thank you Jesus for your covenant. Give God the praise and the Glory. God let our house be a house of prayer be for anything. In Jesus name.

  8. 8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

    9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

God is a God of covenants. He keeps his Word and does not lie. For this same reason we should be aware that he takes notice of everything we commit before Him. We should not take it lightly for He remembers and gives a sign. The Holy Ghost, being poured out upon every flesh is a reminder of His blood that was once shed. Without it thg mere would have been no remission of sins. So before you forget what you said you’d do before the Lord and He starts filling you with His Spirit should be a reminder to us that He is keeping His Word of the comforter but are we keeping ours? The bible tells us that it is better to not enter into a covenant that to make one and not keep it. Just some thoughts about covenant as the blood of Jesus is the new covenant and His Promise, His Spirit is being poured out daily. God keeps His Word, promises, and covenants….

  9. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
    Genesis 9:7‭-‬10 KJV

What a responsibility; God made His covenant with Noah and told him and his sons to be fruitful and multiply. This was the beginning of all; what I don’t get though is why people are choosing to denounce God and turn from His gospel. I know that I wouldn’t be here if our forefathers had not obeyed the word of God. As a matter if fact: none of us would be here if it wasn’t for the obedience of Abraham, Noah, Moses, and most importantly Adam. Thank you Jesus for those that have come before me and for leading them to build up this rock. I thank You for their fruitfulness.

  10. 1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

As we take the day on with the Lord on our side let’s be fruitful and multiply the kingdom of God. Let’s us his word to cut through the stiff necks and hard hearts. We could all be used by God today if we humble ourselves and submit ourselves to His will. Today I pray to see with his eyes and lead me to hungry lost people (which are everywhere) in Jesus name

  11. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. So even then kids had their disrespectful ways, and this time not only he had to pay the price, he lost Noah’s respect and now instead of Blessings he received the opposite! The very sad part is, he was old old man, His Brothers obviously knew how to have honor and respect for their father, cover him up, shut your mouth, and ho take care of your family! Honor you father and Mother, what happened to that?

    FIRST THE KINGDOM

  12. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.”
    Genesis 9:13‭-‬17 NLT
The rainbow was Meant for a sign of a covernment , a promise that God will never destroy the Earth with Waters . This Connor world has used the rainbow as pride I had a coworker came to me Monday and said it sad how the world turn a rainbow into pride

  13. 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

The bow in the air it’s more than just a sign to not flood the earth again, it is the evidence of an everlasting father keeping his promise. If there’s anything that we can always reply on it is that Christ will keep his word and follow through with what he says, every covenant and promise that he makes we can always be assured that he will keep it. He is the father of promises.

  14. iLove the Kingdom
“From these three sons of Noah came all the people who now populate the earth.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This is a key scripture in putting a lot of false doctrines to shame out there…the Bible clearly reveals to us that every animal and every human was dead EXCEPT those who were on the boat. Then after making that point, the Bible clearly reveals that the 3 sons of Noah repopulated the entire earth. Now it doesn’t take a rocket 🚀 scientist to understand that YOU and ME and everyone around us came from one of those 3 sons which means we ALL came from Adam.

Challenge: next time someone asks you what race you are simply put “human race”.

Adam was my daddy and yours too

  15. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

The promises of God. We can know that Gid will keep His Promises. He is truth and upright. Everytime we see a rainbow it is suppose to be a reminder that God will not destroy the whole earth with water. We musts eek after Him each day, for he is awesome.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God
    How is your altar

  16. One day he drank some wine he had made, and he became drunk and lay naked inside his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw that his father was naked and went outside and told his brothers. Then Shem and Japheth took a robe, held it over their shoulders, and backed into the tent to cover their father. As they did this, they looked the other way so they would not see him naked. When Noah woke up from his stupor, he learned what Ham, his youngest son, had done. Then he cursed Canaan, the son of Ham: “May Canaan be cursed! May he be the lowest of servants to his relatives.” Then Noah said, “May the Lord , the God of Shem, be blessed, and may Canaan be his servant! May God expand the territory of Japheth! May Japheth share the prosperity of Shem, and may Canaan be his servant.”
    Genesis 9:21‭-‬27 NLT

It was taboo for someone’s nakedness to be uncovered, and we saw that from the time Adam and Eve sinned and God had to cover their nakedness. So for Ham to be a bit careless around his father’s tent it ended up a blow to Noah’s dignity and honor for Ham to see him like that.
Also ham begot the Hamites which became the Egyptians. His son Canaan fathered the Canaanites who were idolatrous and would be conquered by the Israelites later.
Shem received a blessing. From Shem came the Israelites.
Japheth received the blessing of territory. Most of the descendants around the rest of the world (not including Asia minor and Africa) were fathered by Japheth. So we think Noah is b in mean here, but it prophesies and lays out the fabric of what is to happen in the upcoming years.

  17. 11 Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.”

The beauty of the promises of God. Doesn’t matter what He says if He says it they shall come to pass. The rainbow has been perverted as a “gay” symbol to the world but to us it means a promise, a loyal and faithful God, history, a covenant, something that will never be broken. The rainbow is only a small image of the greatness of God. His loyalty just doesn’t compare to His great love, mercy, and power. If he wanted to He could’ve caused a flood again but because He does not lie, He shall keep His Promise!
    We serve a loyal God!

  18. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

I don’t know about you, but every time I see a rainbow; I stare in awe of His goodness.

God used the rainbow as a sign to Noah and all generations that He would be faithful to His covenant.

Every time we see a rainbow, we should remember the faithfulness of God and every one of His promises.

A rainbow appears after a storm. It’s as if God is showing us that He’s still there, He’s still Faithful and our promise is at the end of our storm.

  19. 13 I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. 14 When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds,

I find it interesting how the impure community have adopted the rainbow symbol as their justice inequality movement. I’m sure many know the rainbow is a bible symbol, but know its a covenant between God and men. Every time I see them waving a rainbow flag, I think about God’s covenant with men.

  20. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

If God can use a drunk then he can use you

  21. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

Sometimes we are placed in situations to allow God to work through you, not run and share the low times of another with someone else.

Leaders make decisions even when the times are hard and situations are uncomfortable.

  22. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

God will place you in situations that He will be able to work through you. He will choose you to be the leader that can make the hard choices in sticky situations. Trust in Him and allow Him to guide you.

  23. Genesis 9

This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and everything living around you and everyone living after you.

I looked into the word covenant this morning. I was surprised that the majority of the search in the internet cane up a Biblical application. The more I read though the more I understood.

Many cultures have used the rainbow fir different applications even the gay society took something designed by God. But what caught my attention was the rainbow is made up of light . Each color is formed due to a raindrop being hit by light thus reflecting a rainbow of colors . Light . God is light . His befitting to display Himself in His first covenant displayed to nan. My mind dies go back to the garden when God had just put the curses on mankind and yet in the midst of it He leaves a great promise of redemption. As with Noah and his family. The rain was not meant to destroy them. They had never seen rain before and the storm was disastrous. So why the covenant? A promise that God would not destroy the earth and its people with rain. I’m sure the next drop of rain could have sent Noah into a frenzy let alone Mrs. Noah so God placed His bow His promise beautifully displayed as a reminder. Thus covenant had nothing to do with anyone else but God. He did not ask for s commitment with this covenant this was His commitment and His alone. As I pondered thevthought of covenant a promise I wonder do we really understand it’s not about a signature or about consequences or feelings but it’s a true desire to say this is my display of what I give non circumstantial but my own covenant. Whether we make it to God man or self should it not be based upon anything anyone accept to know this is my covenant. Many marriages many walks with God many businesses agreements would be more successful if we truly understood a covenant is what I do not based upon what someone else will do. Thank you God fir the beautiful reminder You made such a covenant. It was your promise based on Your love. There is so much more to write concerning covenant. When two agree when one walks away when there are struggles rain in life I pray that our own covenant to God will stand true. I pray that storms and influence will not cause me to break my covenant my commitment to You God. With a sincere request God Guard my heart to live and love to reflect You Your light in a world afraid of covenants. In Jesus name.

  24. 1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth

We are blessed and have been given the same command to go out and be fruitful. The earth is plentiful with souls, but we must be willing to share the gospel to see it multiply in the hearts and lives around us.

  25. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
    Genesis 9:16 KJV
God is a covenant keeper! He is not a man that He should lie. Just as we can be sure that God will never destroy the Earth again with a flood, we can be sure that He will destroy it by fire, that He will come again, and that He will create a new heaven and Earth. God is not slack concerning His promises!
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
    2 Peter 3:3‭-‬7‭, ‬9‭-‬10 KJV

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
    Revelation 21:1 KJV
    God Will Keep His Promises!

  26. Genesis 9:12-17
    12) And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
    13) I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between m and the earth.
    14) And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
    15) And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
    16) And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
    17) And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

The rainbow has a twofold message:
    1) God made a covenant (promise) to Noah and to every living creature of all flesh, which shall extend to all generations, that He would not destroy the earth by a flood again.
    2) The rainbow is a reminder to God of the promise He made, and He is committed to keeping His promise.

One things for sure, when God makes a promise, He will keep it. He cannot lie.

  27. “Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth.”
    Genesis 9:12-13 NLT

“Then God said to Abraham, “Your responsibility is to obey the terms of the covenant. You and all your descendants have this continual responsibility. This is the covenant that you and your descendants must keep: Each male among you must be circumcised. You must cut off the flesh of your foreskin as a sign of the covenant between me and you. All must be circumcised. Your bodies will bear the mark [sign] of my everlasting covenant.”
    Genesis 17:9‭-‬11‭, ‬13 NLT

“Tell the people of Israel: ‘Be careful to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you from generation to generation. It is given so you may know that I am the Lord , who makes you holy. You must keep the Sabbath day, for it is a holy day for you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community.”
    Exodus 31:13-14 NLT

Our God is a covenant-making God, and His people have always been those who were in covenant with Him. When He entered into covenant, He established a sign that confirmed the covenant and that verified the covenant children.

The rainbow is a covenant sign to all the earth; thus, it is visible to all that are upon the earth. However, God went on in history to separate out a specific people for Himself; and to them, He made specific covenants relating to salvation. As in the precedent of the rainbow, these covenants were also witnessed and confirmed by signs.

There were two primary covenant signs given to the nation of Israel which identified them as God’s children: circumcision and the keeping of the Sabbath. Only those who honored the signs could partake of God’s salvation and blessings. They had to cut off the flesh through circumcision, AND they had to put on God’s holiness through the keeping of the Sabbath.

When Jesus instituted the New Covenant in His blood, the covenant still contained both elements: the putting off of the flesh and the putting on of God’s holiness. However, the signs representing and confirming those elements were changed to reflect the New Covenant.

Instead of circumcision, we now put off the flesh through baptism in Jesus name. And, instead of keeping the Sabbath, we now put on the holy by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Consider the following verses:

“In whom [Jesus] also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”
    Colossians 2:11‭-‬12 KJV

“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
    Isaiah 28:11‭-‬12 KJV

  28. FIRST THE KINGDOM
THE PAINFUL CONSEQUENCES OF HIDDEN SIN

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

Humiliation has never been the plan of GOD. Revealing the sins of others obviously harms both parties. What the younger son missed that his older brothers caught was the honor in covering their father.

The older sons had no desire to see their father in his sin, they also had no desire for others to see his sin. They backed in and covered him vs. 23.

The younger son sin of pride was of great cost for him and for his son. Notice that greater judgement came on the sins of pride and arrogance of the son than on the sinful acts of his father.

Choose today to look for opportunities of Mercy than judgement. Trust GOD, because HE knows everything that is going on.

  29. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

There is something about the rainbow that creates awe in me when I see it’s beauty. Most people just see the colors and marvel at the science behind this weather phenomenon, but it goes much deeper than that. It is a sign of God’s Promise that has again come to pass and the storm is stayed. To me it brings the confidence we have in God – that he does keep his promises to us. If we just stop and think a minute about the rainbow, we can remember he is true to his word, no matter how long ago it was given.

  30. 8:15 And I will remember my covenant which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 and I will look upon it that I may remember the everlasting covenant…
    ———
    I will remember my covenant….
    I will remember
    I will remember.
This is God’s promise . He is not that can lie….
when God makes a promise he brings it to pass.
    Praise his everlasting faithfulness .

  31. 20-23 Noah, a farmer, was the first to plant a vineyard. He drank from its wine, got drunk and passed out, naked in his tent. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw that his father was naked and told his two brothers who were outside the tent. Shem and Japheth took a cloak, held it between them from their shoulders, walked backward and covered their father’s nakedness, keeping their faces turned away so they did not see their father’s exposed body.

24-27 When Noah woke up with his hangover, he learned what his youngest son had done. He said,

Cursed be Canaan! A slave of slaves,
    a slave to his brothers!
Blessed be God, the God of Shem,
but Canaan shall be his slave.
    God prosper Japheth,
living spaciously in the tents of Shem.
But Canaan shall be his slave.

Just a few days off the ark and already there is trouble in the new paradise that God had given Noah and his family. Noah in drunken stupor, naked in his tent is exposed when his son Ham enters the tent.

Ham, out of respect for his father, could have covered him, concealed his nakedness, and that would be the end of the situation. However, instead he went and told his two brothers, in a proud attitude that he had caught his father in a shameful state, so the brothers took it upon themselves to conceal the matter, by covering Noah.

I Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

We are not to cover sin as to hide it as if we were hiding it from God, but we are to cover it, conceal it as to not gossip about it, take pride in the fact that someone has fallen, but cover it, cut it off so that it doesn’t have life.

  32. “Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.””
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:12-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Every time we see a rainbow, we should remember the faithfulness of God and every one of His promises. He even says His covenant of peace with us is just as sure as His covenant with Noah and all generations.

  33. Genesis chapter 9 verse 20 and Noah began to be an husbandman and He planted a vineyard: verse 21. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent, verse 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without, verse 25 And he said Curse be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren, Now , the must horrible sin was done right after the flood same as in the the garden of Eden, ADAM work the garden Noah work the vineyard , got drunk with fermented wine, And cose the death of his son in the book of Leviticus explains the meaning of the nakedness under God’s eyes sin is very horrible doesn’t matter what kind, Leviticus 20 verse 17 And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness;it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people; he he hath uncovered his sister nakedness,; he shall bear his iniquity. This horrible sodomite sin is explaining t Throughout Leviticus And the prophet Ezekiel, Oh God have mercy of us for there is so many sodomites Every were all around us, in today days the second coming of the Lord is near,

  34. “Ham, the father of Canaan, saw that his father was naked and went outside and told his brothers. May he be the lowest of servants to his relatives.” Then Noah said, “May the Lord, the God of Shem, be blessed, and may Canaan be his servant! May God expand the territory of Japheth! May Japheth share the prosperity of Shem, and may Canaan be his servant.””
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:22-27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Wow !!!
How much it can cost us to disrespect our father’s, Ham didn’t think of the consequences that his actions would cost his son Canaan.
Sometimes we don’t think that all of our actions bring consequences, I myself had to learned the hard way along the way of my life for actions that I did that costed me a lot and not just me but those closest to me. God’s mercy has bless me and help me get through but the consequences didn’t go away.
Why? Because that will help us remember what can’t cost us so we don’t do the same mistakes.

  35. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.

  36. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

Fruitfulness =multiplication… Multiplication =fruitfulness. Some people want the abundance if Multiplication without the labor if fruitfulness.

We cannot have the knowledge f retention without the hard work of learning and application of what is learned in the Witd of God.

  37. 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

So I brought it up to Maria that cannibalism is a sin and she said no I don’t think that is the meaning of this verse. So, I had to check further.

Genesis 9:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.

So rather than Cannabalism, this verse would be saying that it is a sin to eat something alive or at least to not eat it raw/uncooked. Also, further proving that vegan is not biblical to those that would like to argue the logic it is.
