Job 4

Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking?

Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways?

Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.

By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.

10 The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.

11 The old lion perisheth for lack of prey, and the stout lion’s whelps are scattered abroad.

12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.

13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,

14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake.

15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up:

16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,

17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?

18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:

19 How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?

20 They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it.

21 Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.

    So easy to encourage others but when it comes to yourself it’s hard to believe your own words of encouragement .

  2. When life is good, it is easy to encourage someone else to keep the faith; but, when it hits home, we tend to forget to take our own advice. When you keep yourself encouraged and in tune with God, it not only affects you; but, your family and those around you.

    Psalm 13:5-6 AMP says “But I have trusted and relied on and been confident in Your lovingkindness and faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice and delight in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.” Same verses MSG “I’ve thrown myself headlong into your arms—I’m celebrating your rescue. I’m singing at the top of my lungs, I’m so full of answered prayers.”

    4. Your words have supported those who were falling; you encouraged those with shaky knees. NLT

    Be positive,
    Be an encourager,
    Be a supporter,
    Strengthen those who are weak…
    Not only is it the right thing to do, it will also bring returns when you are the one who needs the same.

  4. Job 3:16-17 [Amp] The Spirit stool still , But I could not discern the appearance of it. A form was before my eyes there was silence, and then I heard a voice, saying. [17] Can mortal man be just before God, Can a man be pure before his Maker, or be more cleansed than He is ? This man came to witness that he men might testify of the Light, that all men might believe a ( adhere to it, trust it, and rely upon it) through him. And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the firstborn of the dead [ first to be brought back to life]. And the Prince [ Ruler] of King’s of the earth. To ever ioves us and has once ( for all) loosed and freed us from our sins by his own blood. We have alot to be thankful for God that love us and corrects us.     There is no need for us to be fearful, we must remember that our confidence is in the Lord and not of this world!

    Really that’s all these bodies are.
    Tents!
    We’re living in tents.
    Some tents are nice than others. Some tents are bigger and some tents are smaller.
    This tent we live in is not my home because someday soon I’ll be in a big ole mansion that cannot compare to anything of this world. I’m the mean time we need to be helping people set up their tents on the inside; getting their sleeping bags in order, making sure the screen is zipped up so the bugs can’t get in and making sure they’re well protected with bug repellent.
    If you haven’t figure it out those tents is our temples and the bug repellent is the word of God and prayer. The Spirit of the Lord is the only thing that’s gonna clean up the inside of this tent. Now I know this little analogy didn’t have much to do with anything of this chapter but at least you can share this with your kids and get them an idea of the temple of God!

    The very things that we sow in life will be the result of the circumstances that we are in at the time. Eliphaz make a point to state the obvious when address Job. We are living in a society that many are hoping to sow seed that will reap them success. I find that many end up only sowing discord when looking at the circumstances in which the get success.

    We as the church, we have to be able to sow love and honor and compassion to reap the blessings of God. Even Christians have to watch not only what they sow, but how they sow it.

    Without sowing properly, the seed become scattered upon the ground and not taking hold in which it was planted or scattered. We have to remember if we sow discord, we can not reap honor. I we do not sow honor, then we can not reap the blessings of God. The gospel tells us about the parable of the sower-

    Matthew 13:3-9
    3And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 9Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

    No matter the circumstances Church, its time to sow our seed on good ground to reap the good harvest that is ready for us to partake in.

    We need to be careful who we let speak into our life. Just because someone can sound-wise doesn’t mean they are correct for our situation. Job was scrutinized for being unrighteous by his friends just because he had fallen on the most difficult of times and instead of trying to encourage him they tried to guilt him into sin which he was not guilty of. Job stood on his righteousness she knew that he had done nothing sinful

    We reap what we sow; do I sow what is of God, sparingly. This is where I lack; I’m still learning how to sow. I need to build my field for Jesus, but how. Through prayer and allowing God to lead me. Lord Jesus help me today to not sow a field of iniquity; strengthen me in your Kingdom and use me to sow a field of Kingdom warriors. I give You the glory.

    I dont understand Eliphaz, I dont understand Jealousy, and sometimes Jealousy dont show up until your down in the bottom and someone condemns you, I notice he was saying stuff like…

    what joy does someone get from beating someone down in condemnation when they are already in sever greif! I can never find the words to say when I know that someone has lost a loved one, because there was nothing anyone can say when she went away, that hurt and the more I’m sorry for your lost the more it stung, but people mean well, never once did someone say are you more righteous than God, what did you do that made this come upon you!
    Where is the Compassion Eliphaz?

    5) But now when trouble strikes, you lose heart. You are terrified when it touches you.

    We are all human. We are all going to face hardship in our life at some time. Everyone needs encouragement, strength, and support at some point in life. (even those who do the encouraging, stregthening, and supporting)

    So “Let us love one another: for love is of God…”
    Let’s encourage, strengthen, and support those in need today.

    Be bold, just because you face a little trouble don’t let it scare you off just build your faith. Turn that fear into strength and put on that armor of God and be ready for what’s coming against you. Keep that fire going and give whatever it is to God and just stand strong. It’s not by might nor by power but by the spirit of God that we stand strong and fearless. Fear is not of God. Stay strong children of God.

Dread stared me in the face, and Terror. I was scared to death—I shook from head to foot. A spirit glided right in front of me— the hair on my head stood on end. I couldn’t tell what it was that appeared there— a blur . . . and then I heard a muffled voice: “‘How can mere mortals be more righteous than God? How can humans be purer than their Creator? Why, God doesn’t even trust his own servants, doesn’t even cheer his angels, So how much less these bodies composed of mud, fragile as moths? These bodies of ours are here today and gone tomorrow, and no one even notices—gone without a trace. When the tent stakes are ripped up, the tent collapses— we die and are never the wiser for having lived.’”

    Eliphaz was visited by a spirit, a blur, that put fear into him and spoke against God and His creation…and NO RED FLAGS WENT UP?????

    Not only that but it planted those words into his mind to where he’s now accusing Ang questioning Job, his friend. And this is the exact strategy we see from the devil in other areas of Scripture, so I would assume it’s him influencing Eliphaz.

    Eliphaz spoke earlier about how Job had been an encourager and always lifting people up and it sounded like Eliphaz was looking for his opportunity to finally have a word to give. The enemy might have used that desire within him and influenced him in a dream to speak to Job to accuse and question him.

    AAANNNDDDD might I add just because we feel we have a word for someone to help them, it doesn’t mean it’s from God. Sometimes it can be the contrary and can end up leading someone who is lost and hurting down the wrong path. We are responsible for what we say to people and how we say it.

    • And if you read what the vision spoke to Eliphaz, it only speaks to devalue humanity and our existence. To question why were we born if it’s all for naught.

  14. Eliphaz Is supposed to speak words of hope to cheer up Job. Instead he tells him to check himself, to review his life, because God doesn’t punish the innocent. It is crazy to think that we get sick or things happen as a punishment from God. Life is life in this world and situations happen, YES! Self check up open our eyes and lead us to repentance but it should not lead to self condemnation. Conviction leads to repentance; self condemnation leads to death. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU ALLOW TO SPEAK INTO YOUR LIFE!!!!!

    Where does all this lie for you? Because if you’re like Job, and you trust the Lord and are grateful for His faithfulness, then you got nothing to worry about. Just like Pastor said the other night, it is impossible for us to lose! Even in the toughest of times, maintain a Kingdom attitude and pray and believe the Lord will see you through!

    What God is saying right here is that even though we go through harsh times without some of our things turn them in to something meaningful.

    Then Eliphaz from Teman spoke up:

    “Would you mind if I said something to you?
    Under the circumstances it’s hard to keep quiet

    One of the greatest men I know exemplified so much strength in the midst of adversity in his life. Yet there came a day when God allowed him to feel sadness loneliness and depression. He couldn’t understand why God would allow him to feel this way. But a message came to him that changed his way of leading . Yes he still spoke positive yes he still preached truth but now his sermons had more depth. His love for people grew stronger. His heart more compassion for God had allowed him to walk in the shoes of those he was leading. Now scripture was more alive . Not just mere words don’t be discouraged or you can make it. But this is how you will make it. We don’t have all the answers but we do have a God that is the answer.
    This house of flesh we live in is just that. We must practice replacing the works of the flesh with the spirit . And even good soldiers can get wounded in the battle. We need each other more so than ever before. People used to encouragev one another without explanation without judging. Shame destroys good Ives. Are we shaming people so that they do not want to return to our churches. Are they seeking help see we afraid to say I know how you feel …..God used a good man Job to allow us to see
    it doesn’t matter your title there are times of discouraging situations. How wonderful to be able to lead and then those you’ve led know how now encourage the leader. I love to look at them and say “you must have had a good teacher”. I believe it shows maturity and the power of God that is displayed through the times of trials.

  18. But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged; it strikes you, and you are dismayed. Should not your piety be your confidence and your blameless ways your hope?

    Just because you are anointed doesn’t mean your untouchable. But we should use the moments of trouble and discouragement to boost our relationship with God. In that relationship you should find your hope and courage. In your faith in him you can draw your strength.

    It is important to know the voice of our father. That way it will be easy to know when it’s not him speaking to us. Even the way this “spirit” made him feel and what it was saying should have been quite noticeable that it was not of God. We shouldn’t allow anything to put doubt in our minds.

    Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

    Keep your mind stayed on the Lord!

    This is a true statement on its own merit. It is backed up by Scripture and is referred to as the law of the harvest.
    Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
    Galatians 6:7 KJV
    Yet this truth is not being spoken in love but it assumes Job has sinned and is now reaping from those actions. That is why only God is qualified to judge someone else’s heart. Our job is to pray, love, restore, encourage, forgive if necessary and basically act like Jesus. That is hard to do when we don’t make time to get Jesus in us and get the mind of Christ in any given situation.
    Lord help us to spend more time with you that our actions may mimic Yours!

    Let’s encourage someone today. You don’t know what that person in line beside you may be going through and your encouraging words may help them through their day.

    It’s through ALL adversity that the name above all names will be glorified in any individual serving Christ the KING!! Job isn’t looking for self promotion he is trusting GOD in all things. Before Job takes another step, his mind needs to be in the right place. Prayer, worship, and seeking guidance of the Holy Ghost! At this point….just please leave me alone. It’s in my weakness when He is strong. I will position myself at His feet. I shall be found of the LORD when I seek Him with all of my heart and soul.

    He is faithful!

  25. Eliphaz saw the great sorrow in Job and told him how much God has strengthen others and who feared him.

    About him and Moses and the land of Israel that strengthened his hands.
    4.The Words from Jesus were Falling so he had to strengthen them with his knees.

    How quickly we pass from offering well-intentioned comfort to pouring out self-aggrandizing condemnation. Eliphaz’ silence erupted into judgment after listening to Job’s self-pity: Why don’t you practice what you preach? You must deserve this trouble. In my humble experience… And since God is still talking to me… And since God gives me dreams…

    (Funny, isn’t it, how God gave Eliphaz a dream of rebuke for pride, and he interpreted it to be for Job? We do the same thing all the time. The Word comes over the pulpit, and we apply it to the person next to us, never considering that God is speaking to us—never allowing His Word to penetrate or own hearts.)

    Comforting the grieving should be about the one who is grieving, not about us. If our speech always shortly comes around to being about us, to putting others down and lifting us up, then it is self-judgment we need to practice—and repentance!

    Humble people are able to focus on others, to allow others to be the center of attention or to have the spotlight. They can minister without receiving the glory, counsel without condescension, and love without reciprocation. Their only thought is to lift up the one who is down. Their words are edifying because they are spoken in love.

    God, help us to listen to the words we speak. Are we lifting You up? Are we lifting our brother up? Or, are we merely finding clever ways to exalt ourselves? Reveal to us our hearts, and by Your grace, please grant us repentance unto life, in Jesus’ name.

    times come and go when encouragement can be spoke from your lips as easy as breathing. and you love helping people, you love to see people grow. the hardest thing is to find enough encouragement to lift your own confidence with.
    Lord knows i deal with this. let me set my eyes to Zion.

    5 But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

    Job encouraged others and his friend points out he isn’t doing the same for himself, rather that the ungodly are punished, suggesting he has perhaps sinned. It is easy to encourage someone else and yet we struggle with this for us. Sometimes we must come to the place like David and are forced to encourage ourselves in the Lord to keep from slipping. We need to remind ourselves that what he has done for others, he can do for us.

    This feller was correcting Job but it looks like he was entertaining the wrong spirit here. We cannot allow people who are entering entertaining evil spirits to speak into our lives

    What would you do if your friend was going through a dark time? What would you say to them in their time of suffering?

    Many of us would try our best to encourage and lift them up. But do we do the same for ourselves?

    Not only that but often times we talk down on ourselves and say things we would never say to a friend. I heard a quote the other day that said “If you wouldn’t say it to a friend, don’t say it to yourself.”

    We must continue to encourage and lift others up, to support them in their time of need. But we mustn’t forget to think ourselves happy!

    Job lost his most precious ( children) things and else…
    His wife told him to curse God and die….
    Now that all of this has happened to him, his friends said he is complaining about it…. the Bible says Job through all this Job did not sin against God, we know how Job felt because he expressed himself to God and had many questions ….
    But there was something about Job while he was goi g through it…
    “ Kingdom attitude!!!”

    How is it at times people who are natural encouragers can’t seem to encourage themselves? We’ve heard it said many times that people meet the needs of others in many ways, but in their own life they let things go undone.

    We must do like David and encourage ourselves in the Lord. Eat the words that we give out to others to encourage them. Let them become the fruit of our lips for our ownselves.

    There will always be people that will listen to our complaints, trying to find something to find fault with us about. It’s time we give them an ear full of us encouraging ourselves. Get the word of God in our hearts, and rehearse it daily. We are not alone, we have no reason to fear, God is on our side, and if God be fore us who can be against us? God gives us plenty in His word, and His reassurance in our quiet time with Him, will build up our most holy faith in the Holy Ghost, lifting us up to a higher place than we can ever imagine.

    It’s nice to have other encourage us, but God is all we really need.

  36. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    POWERFUL GOD

    9 By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.

    To meditate on verses like this one are FAITH Building. By the BLAST of GOD people perish and with his inhale they are consumed. This verse made me think about the power of GODs breath.

    I often pray for GOD to speak in or to a situation. The revelation of the power of the breath of GOD will inspire us to speak the WORD of GOD by FAITH.

    When we Seek FIRST THE KINGDOM of GOD we have immediate access to this POWER.

  37. 12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.
    13 In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,
    14 Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all my bones to shake.
    15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up:
    16 It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,

    I was going to say what is done in the dark, will come to light, but… It is true.

    Also, we see here that the enemy is presenting himself as an angel of light, just as The Word warns us can and will happen. The sad thing is that many will take what they hear for face value, rather than trying the spirit, and comparing it to The Word. The Word tells us that everything that can be shaken will be shaken, with that in mind, there has to be some misguidance from somewhere that comes into play. The Word also warns us about believing a lie and being condemned for it.

    Don’t believe a lie. Ask for discerning from the Holy Ghost. Jesus will help you.

  38. But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged;
    it strikes you, and you are dismayed.

    Through it all, He is worthy.
    Through the joy and through the sorrow.
    Through the good and through the bad.

    We cannot allow the trouble around us to discourage ourselves we must instead encourage ourselves in the Lord!

  39. Job 4:2 Si probáremos a hablarte, te será molesto; Pero ¿quién podrá detener las palabras?

    Job 4:7 Recapacita ahora; ¿qué inocente se ha perdido? Y ¿en dónde han sido destruidos los rectos?

    *Parte de lo que Elifaz le dijo a Jób es verdad, y parte es falso.

    *Es cierto que aquellos que promueven el pecado y los problemas finalmente serán castigados.

    *Es falso que cualquiera que sea bueno e inocente nunca sufrirá.

    *Todo el material registrado y citado en la Biblia está ahí por decisión de Dios.
    Algunos son registros de lo que la gente decía y hacía, pero no un ejemplo que debamos seguir.
    Los pecados, las derrotas, los pensamientos malos y las ideas equivocadas acerca de Dios son todos parte de la divinamente inspirada Palabra de Dios, pero eso no significa que debamos seguir esos ejemplos equivocados sólo porque están en la Biblia.

    * La Biblia nos da enseñanzas y ejemplos de lo que debemos hacer así como de lo que no debemos hacer.

    * Los comentarios de Elifaz son un ejemplo de lo que debemos tratar de evitar:. ” la tendencia a hacer falsas conjeturas acerca de otros, basados en nuestras propias experiencias.”

  40. Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?

    In our minds we need to think with thoughts from God and not try to be hollier than him because it is not possible. We need to live the life God designed for us not the life we have designed for ourselves.

  41.  Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
    4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

    I hope that when I am in a bad place, a place of destitute and being lost, that a friend and those around me would be able to say good. That they would remind me of good things that I have done and people I have helped, taught, encouraged, and been there for. I would hope that in my life I would have done enough good things that the friends and family close to me would be able to remind of all of those good things. That we/I have strengthened weak hands, held up those about to fall or fallen, and strengthened feeble knees.

  42. Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
    We must stay away from wicked things that draw us into sin. We must focus on the word of God for he is righteous, holy and worthy of praise

  43. I cannot put into words how reading Job makes me feel, Job needs a hug and prayers

    Job 1:21
    “And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

  44. “Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.(‭‭Job‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

    We are suppose to be examples of Christ by be loving and full kindness. We can encourage the weary and the weak. Our words should be uplifting to the lost and the discouraged. The Lord will give comfort and protect them in their trouble, just as he will do to us.

  45. ““In the past you have encouraged many people; you have strengthened those who were weak. Your words have supported those who were falling; you encouraged those with shaky knees. But now when trouble strikes, you lose heart. You are terrified when it touches you. Doesn’t your reverence for God give you confidence? Doesn’t your life of integrity give you hope?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭4:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    There are times when we need encouragement in our lives. Every one no matter how close we are with God, we need someone to help us and encourage us in times of troubles. just like Job felt at his time of trouble. Lord let us have sensitive hearts and be of good spirit and encourage those who need it.

    The Accuser

    Revelation 12:10 King James Version (KJV)
    10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

    Day and night, satan stands before God, like a prosecuting attorney, reminding God the Just Judge of all defects, deficiencies, mistakes, and faults. Reminding us too, of who we used to be, and how great we used to be, then he goes to say, BUT now its your turn and you can’t walk the walk?

    One thing is to say, and on the other hand, another is to do. May those we council and mentor pray for us and help us when we are down, and not just throw us under the bus and mock us. We need each other.

  47. God gives us strength in our time of need. We cannot allow doubt to consume us when our God has all power. We are the children of God and he gives us direction. If we stand boldly, no matter what the enemy throws our way, we can excel in God.

    4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

    5 But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

    This is so true. Let’s not forget about our own spiritual needs. We are not alone, we could always be encouraged by His Word!

  49. The Ministry of Encouragement

    Did you know that Encouragement was a ministry?

    3Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
    4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

    The remedy of weak hands is encouragement. If you e ever experienced moments of just feeling weak, you know the greatest thing anyone could ever do for you was to send words of encouragement your way. Sometimes we don’t need a knight in shinning Amour to save us we need a Word from the God who has all power to encourage us.

    Today I challenge us as a church to speak life and encouragement to one another. Even when it’s hard. Allow a soft answer to turn away wrath and a biblical word to uplift someone’s soul.

    If something good and build. If you can’t find it just keep digging and you will.

  50. Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.

    4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

    5 But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

    Would you practice what you preach?? To many that are the ones usually giving the counsel or encouragement, at one point or another they find themselves needing that uplifting and reminder of all the words they shared with others about God. There comes a time were you, we, have to encourage ourselves in the Lord and be doers of the Word as well.

  51. “Behold, you have admonished and instructed many, And you have strengthened weak hands. Your words have helped the one who was stumbling to stand, And you have strengthened feeble knees.”

    Job now has the opportunity to practice what he has instructed others to do in distress. We can set our confidence in Him because He has overcome the world. It’s in Him that we have victory.

    “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]”

  52. ““Think! Has a truly innocent person ever ended up on the scrap heap? Do genuinely upright people ever lose out in the end? It’s my observation that those who plow evil and sow trouble reap evil and trouble. One breath from God and they fall apart, one blast of his anger and there’s nothing left of them. The mighty lion, king of the beasts, roars mightily, but when he’s toothless he’s useless— No teeth, no prey—and the cubs wander off to fend for themselves.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭4:7-11‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    Yes, sometimes the righteous get bad things. Yet it is also true that if you sow trouble you will reap trouble. Job’s friend is both right and wrong. There are things that we as friends may never understand about people. While we can encourage, we need to make sure that whatever we speak is from God and not just our wantings. We can do great damage to those we love by sayi g God told us something when he did not.

  53. “Your words have put stumbling people on their feet, put fresh hope in people about to collapse. But now you’re the one in trouble—you’re hurting! You’ve been hit hard and you’re reeling from the blow. But shouldn’t your devout life give you confidence now? Shouldn’t your exemplary life give you hope?”

    Point blank, life sucks sometimes. It’s not fair, it’s not always easy, and sometimes things are uncertain. But rather than moping and talking yourself down into the dumps, speak life into your situation, speak strength upon yourself, pray yourself happy. We shouldn’t always be waiting for other to lend us a hand up sometimes we need to be self-helped.

  54. “Your words have helped the one who was stumbling to stand, And you have strengthened feeble knees. But now adversity comes upon you, and you are impatient and intolerant; It touches you, and you are horrified. Is not your fear of God your confidence, And [is not] the integrity and uprightness of your ways your hope?”

    It’s not okay to dwell in fear during trials.

    We’re Christians, we can overcome anything! We must show God we believe and trust in Him! We also have to be a light wherever we go and if we’re living in fear that’s gonna send nonbelievers the wrong message about our God.

    Stay encouraged and motivated! The Lord is our strength and will help us endure.
