Job 37

At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

17 How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

22 Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

24 Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

  1. “We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though he is just and righteous, he does not destroy us. No wonder people everywhere fear him. All who are wise show him reverence. ””
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭37:23-24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He is mighty! God does so much for us and we should be thankful and praise Him for it. He is perfect and we are human and slip and fall sometimes but He is always there to catch us. He deserves our worship and praise. If it wasn’t for God I don’t know where I’d be. He has the power to change you, your situation, your life, your family, remember nothing is too great or too small for our God!

  2. By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

    “O Lord our Lord,
how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength
    because of thine enemies,
that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels,
and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
    Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;
thou hast put all things under his feet:
    All sheep and oxen,
    yea, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea,
and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
    O Lord our Lord,
how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
    Psalm 8 KJV

  3. ““Pay attention to this, Job. Stop and consider the wonderful miracles of God!”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭37:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    A miracle, something instantaneously.
If you have the Holy Ghost you know what this means. The Holy Ghost was yet given in jobs time so it could’ve been harder to consider a miracle. We have it easy in today’s times our faith should be sky high all the time. I can still remember every feeing I got when I received the Holy Ghost so it’s no question to me whether Gods gonna move or not in my storm. I know he’s able and he’s willing to pull me out and I know he’s able and willing to do the same for you. For someone that’s never read the book of Job this part could be quite suspenseful but I’m sorry to spoil it for you my God is a faithful God to the men and women with integrity so prepare yourselves to see Job blessed abundantly. Why do I make this point? Because whatever you’re going through right now if you stay in the plum line of the word of God your blessing is just around the bin. Keep your feet planted and look towards the almighty and everything is gonna be alright!

  4. 19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

22 Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.

Darkness even disturbs men’s speech. It’s hard to go through trails without asking God why? God is mighty and strong, men shouldn’t confront Him, but we do it everyday through our attitudes and petty parties. Get over yourself!! The only one that has rule and dominion over the whole world is God!!! So it’s easier to surrender to His will so His Light can return to our path!! Thank you Jesus for you are my everything. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

  5. He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

    BLESSED BE THE NAME OF

YOUR HIGH AND HOLY NAME FOR OUR LORD IS HOLY

  6. Our minds can’t comprehend how much power God has, but all we need to know is that:
    1) He has all power, and that is more than enough
    2) His power is available to us in our situation

If you want to show a lack of wisdom, show a lack of reverence to God, who created you and everything around you.

My God is more than enough
He can supply all of my needs
    He is my El Shaddai
He always looks out for me
Jehova Jireh, He is my God

    • *Didn’t post the verses…

      23. We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though he is just and righteous, he does not destroy us.

      24. No wonder people everywhere fear him. All who are wise show him reverence. NLT

  7. Job, consider carefully the many wonders of God. Can you explain why lightning flashes at the orders of God who knows all things? Or how he hangs the clouds in empty space?
    Job 37:14‭-‬16 CEV
Remember every time The Lord has seen you through!! It’s not the time to walk away from Him, but to continue in His path of truth and righteousness. In your weakness He is strong! My healer, comforter, peace, joy, healer, and my sheild!Through the trials of life…it is His peace that I embrace. I am is with me, I am not alone. I hold on to His word. His promises are true💕💕💕
We’ve been talking about prayer in our sunday school.
This is one of the scriptures we’re holding on to.

“Behold, I am the Lord , the God of all flesh; is there anything too difficult for Me?”
    JEREMIAH 32:27

  8. Elihu speaks of the authority that God has over the storm as captioned in the AMP version; but, my God has authority over ALL. Whether your in the prime of your life or in the darkest place you’ve ever been, my God is there. He knows what your going through, what you need and when you need it. We must hold onto the promises of God and stand firm.

Psalm 37:23-24 CEV “If you do what the Lord wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure. The Lord will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won’t fall.”

  9. Job 37:23-24 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find Him out; He is excellent in power; and to justice and plenteous righteous He does no violence. He will disregard no right].
[ 1 Tim.6:16] Who alone has immortality [ in the sense of exemption from every kind of death] and lives in unapproachable light, Whom no man has ever seen or can see. Unto Him be honer and everlasting power and dominion. I will Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold of the eternal life. Amen so let it be.

  10. 37:24 Men do therefore fear him: he respects th not any that are wise in heart.
    ——-
Nope! He does not. Humbleness my friend. Humble enough to admit and willing enough to wanting to lead, teachable, yes teachable wiling to accept other criteria. Another respond. …

  11. 19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

Job had repeatedly professed a desire to bring his cause directly before God, and to argue it in his presence. He felt assured that if he could do that, he should be able so to present it as to obtain a decision in his favor

Elihu now designs, indirectly, to censure that confidence. He says that he and his friends were so overawed by the majesty of God, and felt themselves so ignorant and so ill qualified to judge of him and his works, that they would not know what to say. They were in darkness. They could not understand even the works of his hands which were directly before them, and the most common operations of nature were inscrutable to them. How then could they presume to arraign God? How could they manage a cause before him with any hope of success? It is scarcely necessary to say, that the state of mind referred to here by Elihu is that which should be cultivated, and that the feelings which he expresses are those with which we should approach the Creator. We need someone to teach us. We are surrounded by mysteries which we cannot comprehend, and we should, therefore, approach our Maker with profound reverence and submission

  12. As for the Almighty, we cannot find Him; He is excellent in power, In judgment and abundant justice; He does not oppress. Therefore men fear Him; He shows no partiality to any who are wise of heart.”
    Job 37:23‭-‬24 NKJV

God is no respecter of persons, He loves us all, and when he judges us, he wont judge out of favoritism, we all have an equal chance to enter in, according to our relationship with him, not weather he loves us more.

Romans 2:11-16 King James Version (KJV)
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

    12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

    FIRST THE KINGDOM
When life is scary…..God is GOOD

  13. 23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
    Trust God!
He is more than enough! He is perfect in every way, more than we could ever comprehend.

  14. 5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

If God can control all these things, why would we ever doubt His power and ability to protect us, guide us, and care for us? He has all power and once we accept the fact that we will not always know the full plan He has, we won’t always get what we want when we want it or how we want it, His ways are higher and greater than our imaginations and is more than we could ever comprehend then we can start fully trusting Him. Trust without fear, trust knowing He’s got the end already figure out for you and it’ll be for His glory and for your good!

  15. 1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.
3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

The fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. Job friends try to use this wisdom to tear him down and accuse him of living a sinful life and secret. They understood the power of God but they did not Understand his Mercy. Melanie and I just talked in class about the power of the tongue to our Sunday school class and the memory verse was in James 3 out of the same mouth springing out with blessings and cursing, these things not ought to be. If we’re going to praise God then we need to love people with the same tenderness and mercy that God has for them. We should never tear someone down while lifting God up. We were not given the power of the tongue for damage but for praise and lifting up. I believe that we personally should be lifting our brothers and sisters up In Christ constantly.

  16. 14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

Worship through it ALL!!! GOD IS IN CONTROL!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  17. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    GODS THUNDER

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

The Love of GOD is so unique and powerful. He can speak in a “still small voice”, “from a burning bush”, “through a donkey”, but when “GOD Thunders with HIS voice” all of creation knows that GOD speaks.

No other voice can be heard as such, no other god has Heaven as a throne and earth as a foot stool. We are wise to consider the power of GOD and HIS voice. GOD will use his Thunderous voice to reveal a TRUTH, destroy a yoke of sin or affliction or rearrange the atmosphere around us.

Listen closely for the voice of GOD who speaks from the heavens with authority.

  18. God’s wondrous works! How can we not trust Him. He is Almighty!

Job 37:23,24 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict . Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.

Romans 11:33,34 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out ! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

  19. iLove the Kingdom

This chapter of Job we are reading is classified in Chronological order. Job and his friends lived in the time frame close to the flood of Noahs day. As we read this chapter, we can see a thunderstorm was brewing as Job’s friend starts speaking.

2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. 3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

With this being said, it must have been extremely intimidating to hear the thunder and see the lightning after such a short time after total destruction.

One thing that is mentioned in this chapter is pretty controversial and it is the following, Job 37:13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

The controversial part is the correction part. We live in a society that thinks your a bad parent if you spank your child…well, God also puts the smack down on folks every once in a while as well.

  20. So also, golden splendor comes from the mountain of God. He is clothed in dazzling splendor.

We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though he is just and righteous, he does not destroy us.
    Job 37:22‭-‬23 NLT

Our human for can only handle God in the doses He gives us. Our brains cannot comprehend His Wisdom and Wonder all at once. Our hearts cannot truly receive ALL of His Love at one time. He reveals Himself to us in increments that we are always amazed at His Splendor and we can meditate and process the things of Him. I’m thankful for a God that, as I persue Him more, I learn more about Him and am so blessed. Hallelujah!!

  21. ““Listen to this, O Job; Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God. Do you know when God dispatches them, And causes the light of His cloud to shine? Do you know how the clouds are balanced, Those wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭37:14-16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The power of God is unexplainable but is undeniable. If we could understand the power and the knowledge that God has to create the universe we wouldn’t know what to do with it.

  22. 21 And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
    Job 37:21

People nowadays that dont know the word are clouded in judgment, and are lost. This is why we need to speak the word to our neighbors and help them see the light.

  23. 23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

    Getting in touch with God.

What does it mean to get a touch from God? What does it mean to you? For some a touch means a situation is taken care of. For others its feeling the love, the joy, or the peace of the Holy Ghost. And for others it maybe reading the Word of God and getting a word of encouragement. However you need a touch, all you have to do is seek after God. But you wont have to look far because he is omnipresent, meaning he is everywhere. So that means if you just seek him, then you will find Him. I search for His Spirit. I seek after Him. I need Him more than anything else in this life. I seek after His Kingdom first.

  24. 2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

Listen and obey and he will provide. Like brother Morgan was saying last night: god can do much more than we can he can contradict the laws of nature and man. He can “make a way where there is no way” and open doors to great opportunities, all we have to do is ask, listen and be obedient.

  25. By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

  26. 15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

  27. Job 37

    1. “At this also my heart trembles
and leaps out of its place.
2 Keep listening to the thunder of his voice
and the rumbling that comes from his mouth.

    Amen Amen
He is Strength He is Courage He is Peace
My heart still leaps to be in His Presence
Do not allow your love to become just a routine.
Marriages fail because the fire is not kept alive. The twinkle in the eye dims. The wooing ceases . Love is kindled then rekindled. The excitement should never leave . Your heart should pound and leap !

We are the bride of Christ just
thinking of the majestic Love Power and Care God is!
Just spending time in His Word His presence.

Our hearts should leap everyday at the expectations that He is with us. No matter what the situation. Don’t live for God in a routine. No marriage usually lasts if it gets dull and mundane! Each morning I can’t wait to see who where what Hw has in mind for the day…look expect watch listen even in the hardest times when your face may be pressed against the floor and puddles of tears are flowing. He’s there . He’s watching. He knows ….you say your pain is deep you can’t take the next step He’s there let Him carry you. It’s ok when you can walk again He will set you down and He will still be there.
Always Waiting there in His power . Not ours.

Do you know how God controls the clouds
    and makes his lightning flash?
16 Do you know how the clouds hang poised,
those wonders of him who has perfect knowledge?

Yes I know Jesus and He knows me
    Always Waiting

  28. 4-18 “Job, are you listening? Have you noticed all this?
Stop in your tracks! Take in God’s miracle-wonders!
Do you have any idea how God does it all,
how he makes bright lightning from dark storms,
How he piles up the cumulus clouds—
all these miracle-wonders of a perfect Mind?

24 So bow to him in deep reverence, one and all!
If you’re wise, you’ll most certainly worship him.”

Everything that God has created is astounding. Just this alone should bring a reverence for who He is into our lives. How can people experience the beauty of His creation, and not serve their Creator? We take Him for granted in so many ways.

I want to appreciate Him in everything that I do and allow a spirit of reverence for Him to be exhibited in my life everyday.

Psalm 150:2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

  29. And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.

We have to be the light in this filtered world. So God can sweep through this nation, this state, this city and our homes.

  30. When God speaks everything moves. Nothing can resist the voice of God. With his very word the worlds were formed. By his power we are healed. God will give us the strength needed to press through every situation. We are not alone when we come into problems, but God is with us and will help us make it through.

  31. 3 He directh it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

This is Job speaking and describing who God is and what he marvelous power is. It’s so encouraging that even in Jobs despair and hurt and pain he still recognized who God was and what he could always do for ever. Job didn’t let his pain or situation blind his eyes of the victory that he had already won. He knew that God has already won the battle he just had to go through the pain before he had the Gain. NOTHING could tear him down.

It’s a note to take in that Job was living in BC he hadn’t seen Jesus or been in a time where others saw Christ and experienced that greatness so Job had soul Faith and faith alone to put in God in his trial. We need to put our faith in Christ!

  32. 1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

Even in the middle of life’s uncertainty we must stop and take notice of the voice and the marvelous works of God. It would be so easy to be caught up in the facts of what is hurting you but we must be caught up in the facts of who God is. This will carry us through our pains and lead us to the place that God has prepared for us.

The Lord knows where we are and He is able to transform our lives in many ways.

  33. 19 Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
    1 John 2:11 KJV

In all the seasons of life walking in the darkness is a season where I have to watch what comes out of my mouth. What it is, how I say it, what my face looks like when I say it.

To know how to say something we must first realize where we stand and what season we are walking in.

  34. 5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

  35. 23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

God is good, whatever we are going thorugh he’s right there with us . He is perfect for us.

  36. Job 37:14 “Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God”
Job 37:13 “He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy”

God is wonderful and powerful! He has preformed many miracles and his power cannot be comprehended!

  37. Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

We must at times stand still and know that God is God. He is great and his mercy endures for ever. Job understood the magnificent of God and that God was could say 1 word and it would all be over. That is why he was consistent through everything he was going through.

  38. 1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.

2 Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

We will never be able to fully understand how majestic He is. We will never be able to fully comprehend the power of His voice; therefore we will never be able to accurately explain it. But we can use every word we think of and try our best!

“The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭29:3-5, 7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  39. 6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

God made the earth our home and he loves us and he needs us in his kingdom we have to love on him and praise him because he is our God.

  40. 1-2 “At this my heart pounds and leaps from its place. Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice, to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
23 The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.

What a mighty God we serve! All power is in his hands as he creates and speaks things into existence. He is always true to his word and has his way on his timing. Such power comes from him and when he is within us that power is loosed when we proclaim his name!

  41. Job 37:13-13 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

    Hebrews 10:19-25 KJV
[19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] And having an high priest over the house of God; [22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. …

  42. 24 So men honor Him with fear. He has respect for any who are wise in heart.” NLV

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

We are wise to honor Him with fear, so we can get a better understanding of which path He has for us to take.

  43. 23 Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

The more i worship and praise Jesus the more he will be good to me and the more he will bless me. God is good all the time and his presence is incomparable to any. God is good all the time and i know this cause hes blessed POFW and there is nothing like him he is greater than all.

  44. 13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

he love us no matter what we will always be his children but sometimes he has to lead us back to the right path

  45. “Pay attention to this, Job. Stop and consider the wonderful miracles of God!
    Job 37:14 NLT
This is good advice, no matter what we are going through, God is sovereign and Lord of all. If He can control the Weather, He can help us! We as a church must consider the wonderful miracles God is doing for us! We are blessed beyond measure and must never take it for granted! Lord help us to always be thankful for your miracles among us and never lose that sense of awe in your presence!

  46. Job 37:14, “Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.”

Consider mean: to think carefully about (something)
Synonyms: to think about, give thought to, reflect on, meditate on…

    Wondrous means: wonderful; remarkable
Synonyms: extraordinary, astonishing, marvelous, amazing, wonderful, miraculous…

Sometimes, we get so caught up in the busyness of life, or so caught up in the troubles of our life, that we don’t take the time to consider the wondrous works of God. It would do us well, to Stand Still “Stop” for a moment and consider (think about, reflect and meditate on) the wondrous (extraordinary, marvelous, amazing, miraculous) works of God.

Philippians 4:8 tells us to “think” on these things…
    Whatsoever is True
    Whatsoever is Honest
    Whatsoever is Just
    Whatsoever is Pure
    Whatsoever is Lovely
    Whatsoever is of Good Report

Today, take the time to Stand Still and Consider the Wondrous Works of God.
    HE’S DOING GREAT THINGS!!

  47. We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though he is just and righteous, he does not destroy us.
    Job 37:23 NLT

Elihu describes weather patterns as the miraculous actions of God. Today, men understand more about the natural causes of thunder, lightning, storms, snow, rain, etc., and it has taken some of the wonder out of beholding it. It is as if we no longer see God as being responsible for the things we can define.

Still, it was God who spoke creation into existence, who hung the heavens and the earth on nothing but His Word. It was God who set in order the laws of nature that we now depend upon, and it is God who keeps these laws constant and keeps all things from devolving back into chaos.

Our ability to define these laws does not in any way diminish the power of the One who instituted them. We should still have the same awe and wonder, perhaps even more so, than those of Job’s day now that we know the constancy and order of His ways. In truth, we cannot afford to lose the wonder of who He is.

We may be able to somewhat predict the weather, but we still cannot begin to imagine His power. This God who, as was preached last night, is not bound by the natural laws He created. This One who calms wind and waves with a whisper and who feeds thousands with five loaves of bread. The One who walks on water and rides on the sky, and who somehow lives even though He was dead.

The true wonder is that such a One would be mindful of us at all! What are we in comparison to One so great as He? What are we that this Great One would even speak, much less die that we might commune with Him? Surely, His mercy and His love are even more wonderful than His power; and some day, because of them, we shall see Him face to face. Then, we shall behold the Wonder of it all.

  48. 11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

We have read in scripture where God stopped all rain for the space of 3 years till Elijah prayed for rain. By the hand of God we see him control the weather in the giving or withholding. And we can see the weather patterns could be for correction, for the land or for mercy. I thought this portion of the chapter was interesting and through the Holy Ghost we know He can stop the natural storms, even the storm of life.

  49. 4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.

5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

  50. Do not question gods orders and do not pay attention to the orders he gives to other people
Just trust what he tells you and obey.

  51. 8 Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.

9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.

10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

  52. Job 37
When there is thunder God is telling His people there has not been that much rain or when you see the rainbow God promises no more floods.

  53. God is the almighty he can do all things like he has shown in many verses.

6 For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

20 Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.

  54. “Pay attention to this, Job.
Stop and consider the wonderful miracles of God!
15 Do you know how God controls the storm
and causes the lightning to flash from his clouds?
16 Do you understand how he moves the clouds
with wonderful perfection and skill? – NLT

Sometimes we need to look past our surroundings and just focus on the daily wonderful miracles of God!

  55. Job 37

14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

Psalms 46:10 Be still and know I am God!

Job’s friends wanted him to really recognize who God was. Do we take the time to really know God?

  56. 21 Now no one can look at the sun, bright as it is in the skies after the wind has swept them clean.
22 Out of the north he comes in golden splendor; God comes in awesome majesty.
23 The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power; in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress.
24 Therefore, people revere him, for does he not have regard for all the wise in heart?
    21-24 NIV

God has made all of these things. Things that are great and majestic. Things that are overwhelming and splendid, then God comes in very majestic. He is so great and mighty and yet He does not oppress us, nor does He cast us down. Because He is so great and powerful, people revere Him, fear Him, and hold Him high and lifted up and He still takes care of us.

  57. “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.”
    ‭‭Micah‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  58. 15 Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?

16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?

17 How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?

  59. 11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:

12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.

13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

14 Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

Consider the ways of the lord consider his council. Be still and listen and wait for instruction. Sometimes in turmoil we are so busy trying to figure out the problem or why these things are happening that we fail to realize who controls it all. We fail to relize who has had control of our lives this whole time. Failure to realize that even when we were of the world and living by only what our will would allow, that God was still in control. For it was his grace that allowed us to take another step that allowed us to breath another breath that allowed us to see another day. It was only by his grace that we are where we are today. In our anxiety, in our depression, the thoughts of suicide and the attempt. Through our addictions and sexual afflictions, through our worldly desires and the stress of being like everyone else. He was there he is there and he had control. It is our downfall when we fail to acknowledge just how much control he has. Because when we fully know the power behind his will it wont matter the storm because we know that he can walk right through it. It wont matter the trial because he has the plan. And it wont matter the situation because he already has a solution.

  60. Job 37:5-14 KJV
——[5] God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.——

  62. “So teach the rest of us what to say to God. We are too ignorant to make our own arguments. Should God be notified that I want to speak? Can people even speak when they are confused?
    Job 37:19‭-‬20 NLT

Oh how He yearns to hear our voices in prayer. Speaking to Him will not offend His Holy nature. Yes there is a way to approach the King, yet he lings to hear your voice. He welcomes conversation. What is prayer if not communication with God? So talk to Him the lover of your soul. In any relationship there must be communication. Where there is not communication there is no relationship.

  63. “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid: for Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.”

  64. 19“So teach the rest of us what to say to God. We are too ignorant to make our own arguments. 20 Should God be notified that I want to speak? Can people even speak when they are confused?

In prayer, your having a normal conversation with God. Express your sorrow, your tiredness, your joy, your happiness, and give him thanks.
