Job 38

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?

When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;

13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

14 It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment.

15 And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.

16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?

17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?

21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?

22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

26 To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;

27 To satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?

28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?

36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?

37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,

38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?

39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,

40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?

41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

  1. 41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
God is good. All the time. Our God is a God of love and he is always there for us. He is wothy of all praise.

  2. “Can you shout to the clouds and make it rain? Can you make lightning appear and cause it to strike as you direct? Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind? Who is wise enough to count all the clouds? Who can tilt the water jars of heaven when the parched ground is dry and the soil has hardened into clods?

I declare that I don’t know nothing, but I know where to go for my answer in time of trouble . Any questions !

  4. “ Since your days began, have you ever commanded the morning, And caused the dawn to know its place, “Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, So that an abundance of water will cover you?

The great I AM is the creator and in control of all things!! So why question His perfect will for our lives? It is is fear(no faith), pain(brokenness) that man continues to questions His GOD. How soon do we forget what GOD has been and seen us through!! Go back into your memory box and reminisce the Goodness of the LORD. Never once did HE leave you, or forsaken you. He has always carried you through.

‘HE’S BEEN FAITHFUL, FAITHFUL TO ME!’

Behold, I am the Lord , the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
    Jeremiah 32:27 KJV

  5. Wow, the awesomeness and greatness of our God. The answer to all of these questions in this chapter is …….JESUS……Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Alpha and Omega. It reminded me of he song the choir sang Sunday. What a mighty God we serve! Share the greatness of Jesus with someone today. Thank you Lord for being all these things and more. Thank you for your love and protection. I come with a very thankful and grateful heart this morning because my God is awesome at all hours, at all times and in all places. Thank you Jesus.

  6. Right about here is where Job’s uh-oh light starts to glow. Like a child getting a good scolding from a parent, he’s starting to see that he’s wrong, but smart enough not to interrupt the questioning with an answer.

  7. 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
    6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

A Reality check Job and for us, who are we to question why things happen or why things are they are. In what universe is it okay to question God of the universe anyting that we don’t like. This just shows the grace and mercy that God has for his people. That he allows his people to question him even if they have no place to. I don’t believe these questions or to condemn him but just to let him know that he is council great deity has everything under control. It’s okay to be upset with your situation as long as you recognize the God of this universe is

  8. 38:1 Then the Lord answered. Job out of the willdwind, and said..
We’d better listen carefully When God is ready to speak,

  9. Job 38:10 And marked for it My appointed boundary and set bars and doors.
Jer.5:22] Do you not fear and reverence Me? says the Lord. Do you not tremble before Me? I placed the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it cannot go? And through the waves of the sea toss and shake themselves, yet that cannot prevail [ against the feeble grains of sand which God has ordained by nature to be sufficient for his purpose] ; through
[ the billows] roar, yet they cannot pass over that
[ barrier] . [ Is not such a God to be reverently feared and worshiped] ? Don’t quit , Don’t give up there more to come from God. Come back to your first love that you had with Jesus. There are many healings and blessings to come. Be bless in Jesus name.

  10. 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

All too often MY mouth has a way of getting me into trouble, and usually with Jesus more than with man.

The Word tells us that we shall give an account for every idle word spoken. Unfortunately we will have to answer for all the things we have said, and since some talk so much more than others, and some gossip more than they edify, some will have to answer more than others.

The Word tells us that we have the power of life and death in our tongue. Why do we not use that to our advantage, and speak positively, speaking good into existence, rather than being negative, thinking we have it all figured out?

  11. Job 38

    God speaks to Job

“Why do you confuse the issue?
Why do you talk without knowing what you’re talking about?
    Pull yourself together, Job!
Up on your feet! Stand tall!
I have some questions for you,

    Pull Yourself Together
Help my world is falling apart ! Take courage !
God Was ! God Is !God Always! God in the beginning God in the middle God in the end!
Lay your every need desire pain rejection hate anger thoughts at the feet of Jesus leave them there . Clothing our mind with His peace . God spoke to Job as a Father would. It’s time to grow up it’s time to remember Who God Really Is!!!

    John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

  12. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
    Job 38:1-2

There are people out there that try to ruining God’s word without even reading the whole chapter, or book. They try to manipulate what God is trying to say, but dont worry for God will help you, and as long as you read your bible you will know the difference. You will see the light.

  13. When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? “Or who shut in the sea with doors, When it burst forth and issued from the womb; When I made the clouds its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling band; When I fixed My limit for it, And set bars and doors; When I said, ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’
    Job 38:7‭-‬11 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/job.38.7-11.NKJV

God is so amazing, he is a GREAT GOD, and all he has to do is say a word, he speaks and it it’s done. And we have that ability to speak life or death, victory or defeat!

  14. Job had called on many occasions for God to appear. Finally he does appear in a whirlwind, but not with answers Job desired. God came with questions. 39 in chapter 38.
God created the Earth! He is amazing and awesome!

38:41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat (food).

Psalm 147:9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father created them. Are you not much better than they?
Luke 12:24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn ; and God feedeth them : how much more are you better than the fowls.

Do not worry or be fearful, God is faith and always watching out for us when we don’t see it or feel it,God provides for the faithful.

  15. God will provide. Our God has access to all and has the power to bless his people. Sometimes we think we need certain things and wonder why God won’t do it. We must understand that God knows best and he will not give you some things you want because he knows how it will affect you. Trust God when things don’t go the way you thought they should. It is in trusting him that he will open your eyes and let you see beyond the natural things in life.

  16. iLove the Kingdom
God is basically telling Job, “Who are You?” and “Where were You?” when I did all these things. The Lord is the One who spoke things into creation. I guarantee you God is still asking these questions to mankind. Scientists “think” they know the origin of the universe while in all truth they know nothing

  17. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

The Lord spoke out of Job’s storm and told Him to “MAN-UP”. There will be times in life that we feel things are falling apart and seem to fall into a dark place like Job but we must keep heart. Learn from Job to allow God to speak through our dark places. He has all power in His hands and He is able to do more than we can comprehend.

Let us be willing to trust God deny all others that speak ill and walk by faith and not by sight.

  18. ““Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭38:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Definitely don’t question God out of ignorance, He will use a storm or something to get your attention like Job. Sometimes we need to step back and see the bigger picture, we need to realize and understand the control God has over everything and that there is no situation or struggle or we face that He can’t fix. There is nothing and no one greater than our God. Be blessed today!

  19. In this chapter god is asking job where he was when he did everything and this story is a reminder that we wouldn’t be anything or do anything without god

  20. In this chapter god is asking job where he was when he did everything and this story is a reminder that we wouldn’t be anything or do anything without god

  21. 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

If you don’t know what you’re talking about don’t talk.

People will try to drag the man of gods words through the dirt without even doing their own research. Rumors spread like wildfire and you will never have all the information when you hear them. If you just have to open your mouth make sure you have all the information first and think, is this going to do any good at all if I say it.

  22. Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭38:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s the Lords turn to speak with His infinite wisdom. Just because we don’t understand our circumstances doesn’t mean there isn’t a purpose. Stay faithful and let His Word guide you.

  23. 1Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

What has God spoken to you about?

As Christians we make hearing God’s voice so mysterious. Like we have to be standing a certain way, or feel something down our back. But it is as simple as praying and reading His Word, to where we can get direction for the day. A preacher once said,” God is always talking. Its just like the radio, something is always on. But you have to be tuned into the right frequency in order to hear what is said.”
When we seek/tune into the Spirit of God, then we will hear what He is saying. Speak little, listen often, and seek after the Kingdom of God.

  24. Who gives intuition to the heart and instinct to the mind?
    Job 38:36 NLT

All these wonders of the physical world are just small tasks to God. Even in the mind when we need guidance and direction, it seems like such a big problem to us. God already knows how it’s gonna work out. That’s why He gives us those things like wisdom, intuition, and instinct to help us along the way. We just have to trust in Him and those I sights He gave us.

  25. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    WHAT DO YOU KNOW

4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

This simple but powerful question has continually humbled me. I remember this question every time I think I know something and HE brings me right back to reality of the fact, it does not matter who or what I know if I don’t know HIM.

GOD is gracious and kind, merciful and compassionate. But HE is also jealous and will absolutely humble us with HIS knowledge and revelation. In this life there will always be mysteries of HIS greatness and ways. This we must accept and live with that we follow on to know HIM.

The will of GOD and the purpose of GOD is not that we know about HIM, but that we KNOW him.

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Prayer and Bible Study are the resources we have to KNOW him. They must be the most important action, task and desire of each and every day.

  26. Brace your self like a man.

““Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much.”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭38:2-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“God has a soft spot for the uneducated, but no justice for the ignorant.”

If you uneducated and you want to learn he’ll teach you. If your out of work and need it he’ll provide for you. If you set your pride down and embrace him, he’ll bless you abundantly.
But press him like a ignorant man. One that is prideful and comes against thinking you know everything.
    He will Humble You.

  27. 1-2 And now, finally, God answered Job from the eye of a violent storm. He said: “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words?

Who are we to question and think we know everything of Gods doing. His power and wisdom are more than our understanding. Before we speak uncertain about him and his word we must stop and let him take control to grant us wisdom to his word and understanding. And no matter how far we think we are God will always answer us on his timing and help us see his light through the storm.

  28. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

God had been silent through most of the storm, and Job had been demanding answers. But now it was God’s turn to speak and Job’s turn to listen.

Even though God was correcting Job, I’m sure he found some comfort in finally hearing the voice of God.

We must never take for granted the ability to be able to hear the voice of God. We never know when we’ll have to face a test where He must remain silent in order for us to gain what we need.

  29. And now, finally, God answered Job from the eye of a violent storm. He said: “Why do you confuse the issue? Why do you talk without knowing what you’re talking about? Pull yourself together, Job! Up on your feet! Stand tall! I have some questions for you, and I want some straight answers. Where were you when I created the earth? Tell me, since you know so much! Who decided on its size? Certainly you’ll know that! Who came up with the blueprints and measurements? How was its foundation poured, and who set the cornerstone, While the morning stars sang in chorus and all the angels shouted praise? And who took charge of the ocean when it gushed forth like a baby from the womb? That was me! I wrapped it in soft clouds, and tucked it in safely at night. Then I made a playpen for it, a strong playpen so it couldn’t run loose, And said, ‘Stay here, this is your place. Your wild tantrums are confined to this place.’
    Job 38:1‭-‬11 MSG

Sometimes we just need to take a step back from a situations and realize who God is and what he is able to do in our lives. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.

  30. 4 Where were you when I began building the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.

We need to trust God, our situation may be big and tough but he’s still bigger, don’t doubt God.

  31. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

Basically here, the boom of God has been dropped before Job. He asks Job exactly where he was and how he got to where he is. How much control did Job think he had to be able to state the obvious without knowledge? But God began to tell Job how great his power and majesty was and how he created all things.

One thing we must remember, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes. He is the alpha & the omega, the beginning & the end, he is the God of days past & the God of our future. He is the hand that marks and shapes the clouds, he is the breath of the cool breeze, and He is all powerful, all knowing, all present savior that we can depend on.

If we seek first the kingdom of God then there is no doubt that we can know where he is in our times of trouble. He is our refuge and strong tower in the times that we feel our enemy attacks us. Seek him while he is near. But there is a time where we have to go back to the altar to feel the presence and power of God.

    I love the kingdom!

  32. 12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place,

There are some leaders who are “title” hungry and can’t wait to give orders, and from this moment one, this scripture is going to come to mind when I come across one.

Who are we to give direction without the guidance of the one who give the order to the morning of every day. We are merely vessels for the Glory of God and it would do us good not to forget it, everyday!

  33. 12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place,

  34. 20 That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?

21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?

22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

  35. 41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

WHOOOO!?! JESUS, HIS NAME IS JESUS!!! We can do nothing without JESUS!!! HE IS GOO ALL BY HIMSELF!!! We shouldn’t think so highly of ourselves , to think that a title can get you somewhere especially in the kingdom is like saying to a rich man here I give you this penny lol!!!

  36. 16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?

17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

  37. 17 Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.

19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,

  38. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

    6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

  39. Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
We serve the God of the harvest

  40. 3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me

God has listened to the complaints of Job and now has come to reckon with his words. When God tells you to gird yourself up and be a man/woman, you know you’re about to get a wealth of knowledge and wisdom.

We are nothing without the very breath of God breathes in us and we certainly have no right to correct our Maker. He sees the end from the beginning, the completed picture and knows what it is going to take to make ya into the vessel He wants us to be. Lord help us to be pliable in your have and allow Your Spirit to mood and make us.

  41. 31 “Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?”
God’s power is mighty and wonderful.

  42. We get to have God in our life’s but we never try to listen to him the father of heaven and Earth he is the king he is the king of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s he is the father of me and my family and every other person in our life. As long as we have God he is alpha and Omega the beginning and the end the start and the finish.

  43. 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

If we speak on God’s behalf, we had best have heard from God himself when giving someone a word on his behalf. Job & his friends all spoke from their own wisdom and how can we know all there is to know about God? We are his creations, not the creator. We must be humble and listen for him to answer, and if he doesn’t answer, walk by faith believing he has got your back!

  44. “Who sends rain to satisfy the parched ground and make the tender grass spring up? “Does the rain have a father? Who gives birth to the dew?”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭38:27-28‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/job.38.27-28.nlt

My God parches my thrust in the time of need. My God is the father of all, I thank God for his grace and mercy. My life Springeth up when Jesus waters my desert.

  45. “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words?”
    Job 38:2 NLT

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord . For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
    Isaiah 55:6‭-‬9 KJV

“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”
    1 Corinthians 3:18‭-‬19 KJV

The best we can do when questioning God is ignorance. His knowledge, thoughts, and capacity are so far above our own that ours are foolishness to Him. I wonder… if we sound ignorant and foolish just questioning Him, how must we sound when we tell Him how to do His job or how to answer our prayers? I think the better course of action we must be for us to believe He has all things under control and to simply trust Him.

Didn’t He already say that we don’t even know what to pray for as we ought? Since our carnal minds couldn’t be elevated enough to bridge that gap, He gave us His Spirit to pray through us. He has surely thought of everything! We can only show ourselves wise in this world by submitting to Him and using the gift He has given.

  46. “Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words?
    Job 38:2 NLT
Lord help us never to question your wisdom! We are no match for the wisdom and knowledge of God, especially when it comes to His creation! This is why God asks Job the question: “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much.
    Job 38:4 NLT
No man knows so much that they could tell God about His creation and why He did it the way He did. Neither can we tell God how We should be saved. We must come His way! Yet, man is always trying to find an easier way or trying to change The Way Jesus has established of being born again of the water and the Spirit.

  47. “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
    Tell me, if you understand.

Lord who can compare to you?!? Jesus is the one who does everything! Jesus is the one who holds everything in His hands! Let’s not take it for granted and praise Him for His great works because without Him we would not be here! It’s because of Him that I have health, that I can breathe, that I can speak, that I can hear, that I can walk, that I have bread, that I have a home. This world is full of vanity but we have to remember everything we do have is because of Him!!! Thank you Lord for everything!

  48. In this chapter we see that Job was put in his place and was asked by God who created you? Who created the universe? And he was ashamed by this. This means that I f we fall out of line in any way he will put you in your place

  49. God is bigger than is and we were not here to see him create first man and all the stars yet the world so who are we to question his wisdom and the things he does for us

  50. 2“Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words? 3 Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.

All of us went through this when we were living at home, or still living at home. We like to ask questions and want answers. But when your father said, he has questions for you, we would tense up and say ” I don’t know”. We must be prepared to answer questions from God, just like we answered our father. Its never easy, but in the long run, you’ll learn from that experience.

  51. Job 38
    vs. 12, “Hast thou commanded…?”
    vs. 16, “Hast thou entered…?”
    vs. 18, “Hast thou perceived…?”
    vs. 21, “Knowest thou it…?”
vs. 22, “Hast thou entered…? Hast thou seen…?”
    vs. 31, “Canst thou bind…?”
vs. 32, “Canst thou bring forth…?
vs. 33, “Knowest thou the ordinances…?”
vs. 34, “Canst thou lift up…?”
    vs. 35, “Canst thou send…?”
    vs. 39, “Wilt thou hunt…?
The answer to all these questions is NO. NO NO NO!!!

    BUt…

vs. 5, “Who hath laid the measures…? Who hath stretched the line…?”
vs. 6, “Who laid the corner stone…?”
vs. 8, “Who shut up the sea…?”
    vs. 9, “When I made the cloud…”
    vs. 23, “Which I have reserved…”
vs. 25, “Who hath divided the water…?”
vs. 36, “Who hath put wisdom…? Who hath given understanding…?”
vs. 37, “Who can number…? Who can stay…?
    vs. 41, “Who provideth…?
The answer to all these questions is GOD. GOD GOD GOD!!!

GOD is the Creator of all things, and HE has the Power to do all things.

    Colossians 1:16-17 says…
    16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
    17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

  52. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

It is a sad day, when the Lord himself reaches out to you with questions. When you have bickered and complained so much that God says to you, “why are you complaining?” And then repeatedly asks you “Who am I?? I’ve done this or that?? Who did it?? Who am I??” I pray that we are grateful in every situation that we are in because it could always be worse. Am I alive, then I am blessed!! Not only does he ask continual questions but he then also says you have to answer me!!

  53. Gods response was to Jobs ignorant questions. God said to him brace yourself like a man and responded were you there when the universe was created

  54. ““Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you know so much. Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? “Who kept the sea inside its boundaries as it burst from the womb, and as I clothed it with clouds and wrapped it in thick darkness? For I locked it behind barred gates, limiting its shores. I said, ‘This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!’”
    ‭‭Job‬ ‭38:4-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  55. “Who is this that darkens counsel [questioning my authority and wisdom] By words without knowledge?
    JOB 38:2 AMP

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord . For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
    Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9 KJV

  56. job had every he needed but then the devil came to heaven and said that job does not love you he just loves you because he has every thing he wanted. Jesus pulled job into a whirlwind and asked him a lot of questions, but Job couldnt answer them.

  57. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said

Sometimes it’s when we least expect when we finally get a response from God. But at the same time it’s probably when we needed it the most. We’ve heard time and time again our God is an on time God he’s never too early and he’s never too late. At the end of the day you gotta remember who to put first. It should always be the Lord no matter what the situation is.

  58. Have you ordered the dawn to seize the earth and shake the wicked from their hiding places? Daylight makes the hills and valleys stand out like the folds of a garment, clear as the imprint of a seal on clay. The light of day is too bright for the wicked and restrains them from deeds of violence.
    Job 38:13‭-‬15 GNB

  59. 1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

The author of Hebrews said it like this:
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
    Hebrews 10:31 NKJV

Can man contend with God? Yet in His loving mercy. He shows long suffering love. He is patient with us. He wants us to get it. When God speaks things are done. All He needs is but say the word.

Sometimes things are not so awesome. Sometimes days are not so bright, but He is still the Light, He is still an awesome wonder. It may just be that sometimes we may not understand. Trust is one of the hardest things to win and sadly it can be so easy to loose. It is a treasure on it’s own. Can He trust you? Can he lay at your hands His true riches, blessings and power? May your character be molded in process to be less of you and more of Him. That you may show yourself approved.

Can He trust you with a Word that will build up people? It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. The One who spoke the world into existence. Can he trust you with the creative power to speak life into other, but most importantly, speak life to yourself?

Can one prove to be a David in the time of adversity and encourage yourself in the Lord. The Lord your strong tower, the Lord your Rock and strong foundation, the Lord your provider, the Lord your healer.

Can you be a David and not a Job, and bless the Lord at all times? It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But His love for He is slow to anger and great in mercy…

Just hold on and praise, encourage yourself, encourage others for you will reap what you sow. Seasons come and go, and soon enough, due season shall come.

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
    Hebrews 10:36 NKJV

  60. We serve a mighty and powerful God! He didn’t leave one detail out as He created this world. He truly is the Great I AM! And to know He desires to have a relationship with me. He could have anything in this world or heavens and He has chosen a relationship with us. Oh how He loves us!

  61. 21 Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?

I think the questioning from Job came from an accusive stance. Reproached God our of anger and frustration and maybe even ignorance. His life was a complete waste and he was physically tormented, and then to be consecutively attacked on every side, morally, spiritually, ethically, he was definitely past his limit.

Confirming the word, 1 Corinthians 10:13

  62. When two currents from opposite directions meet, a circular motion results called a whirlwind.

¶ Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said

This chapter reminds me that from Whirlwinds to mountains I need to stay focused of Your voice Jesus

I wish I could sing this song with Job

    I faced a mountain,
    That I never faced before
That’s why I’m calling on the Lord
    I know it’s been awhile,
    Lord please hear my prayer
I need you like I never have before.
    Sometimes it takes a mountain
    Sometimes a troubled sea
    Sometimes it takes a desert
To get a hold of me
Your Love is so much stronger
    Then whatever troubles me
    Sometimes it takes a mountain
    To trust you and believe
    Far from you Jesus
    I thought I could control
Whatever life would throw my way
    But this I will admit
Has brought me to my knees
I need you Lord and I’m not ashamed to say
    Sometimes it takes a mountain
    Sometimes a troubled sea
    Sometimes it takes a desert
To get a hold of me
Your Love is so much stronger
    Than whatever troubles me
    Sometimes it takes a mountain
    To trust you and believe.

  63. ¶ Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said
