Genesis 18

And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.

And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.

And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

16 And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21 I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty’s sake.

30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty’s sake.

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.

33 And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

  1. Nothing is too Hard for God. Nothing is impossible for God. If God said it’s gonna happen then it’s gonna happen. If God said it’s not gonna happen then guess what it won’t happen. I don’t care what common sense or science says because when GOD is in it we win. Sarah had a baby even though science says she’s too old. Your doctor , boss, lawyer, judge, husband, wife, may say one thing but in the End Jehovah has the final say.

  2. 22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the Lord.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

The Problem is never whether or not God can do something it’s about our faith and where we stand, God’s ability literally has no limits but God’s knowledge always stretches to the best outcome. It’s not always going to be the method or the way that we think but in the end we will see that it was God’s power behind at all. The only limit that exist are the ones that we place. The more our faith is stretched the more it will be tested and the more God will be able to do in our lives. If God be for us…

  4. 13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Seek first the Kingdom in blessings-

When the men of God appeared unto Abraham and Sarah, they felt like the promise of having a child was an impossible task for someone that was as old as they were. Being 100 years old was not something that meant they were just starting a family. Many times when we look at the impossible there is always some doubt that will rise up within our carnal flesh and we can’t see past the task at hand. But if we take the word of God and have faith in it like we do everything else, the the impossible becomes possible with God.

When we seek first the kingdom of God, our faith and promise arises out of doubt and we see it come to past because God said it would. We can not put limitations on God and restrict his power. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and we are just mortal flesh. Therefore his ways and our ways are not the same. We have to trust God and be obedient to his commandments to see the blessings that he has promised us. Look up and trust Him, for he will carry us through the times of doubt and fear to prove to us that all things are in his control.

    I love the kingdom!

  5. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

    Matthew 17:20 KJV
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Nothing is impossible when you put your trust in God.

I call Him way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, Light in the darkness…. My God that is who You are!

  6. “My Lord,” he said, “if it pleases you, stop here for a while. Rest in the shade of this tree while water is brought to wash your feet. And since you’ve honored your servant with this visit, let me prepare some food to refresh you before you continue on your journey.” “All right,” they said. “Do as you have said.” So Abraham ran back to the tent and said to Sarah, “Hurry! Get three large measures of your best flour, knead it into dough, and bake some bread.” Then Abraham ran out to the herd and chose a tender calf and gave it to his servant, who quickly prepared it. “Where is Sarah, your wife?” the visitors asked. “She’s inside the tent,” Abraham replied. Then one of them said, “I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife, Sarah, will have a son!” Sarah was listening to this conversation from the tent.

We dont know the full extent of how far our efforts reach when we are hospitable to someone. Being able to bless someone who may be weary from the journey they’re traveling, we for one don’t know if we’re entertaining angels. Because of Abraham and Sarah’s hospitality they were blessed beyond measure.

  7. 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Do we truly truly believe that God can do all things . Is not doubt in God but doubt in us It’s about putting a trust in God Through the bad the good and the ugly times .

  8. Genesis 18
14 Is anything too hard for the Lord?

    Tears to Laughter
    Questions to Answers
    Chaos to Peace
    Fear to Courage
    The list is endless.

God appeared once again to Abraham one place says the sixth promise. I’m not sure if Sarah was laughing with disbelief like yea really. We’ve all felt that emotion. But God said Is there anything anything too hard for the Lord? Oh Lord Your promises are sure . Your ways go beyond the natural mind can even conceive. I pray for unbelief that tries to crowd out the miraculous You want to perform in all of our lives. I delight in You my hope is deeply in You. I know there is nothing to hard for You In You oh Lord I lean into . I will hold to your promise. I too am amazed at how You perform the miraculous but I’ve seen it repeatedly. You are God and nothing is too big for You !

  9. Gen.18:25 Abraham, who is known for his faith, believe God always did what was right, whether or not he understood what IGod was doing. When Abraham pled with God not to kill his relatives in Sodom along with the very perverse residence of that city, Abraham said to God, Will not the judge of all the earth do right? The answer to the question is obviously “Yes,” for God is absolutely just. There’s no partiality with Him. “With the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality bribery “ 2 Chronicles 19:7 Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you ; take heed and do it : for there’s no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, not taking of gifts.

Psalm 58:11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous : verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

  10. 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

The duty of a parent is to be a parent and parenting never stops as long as both are alive. Too many parents are their children’s “friend.” God created us as parents to lead our children in the path of righteousness, to teach them to love HIM with all their heart, mind, soul and strength.

Psalm 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

The greatest gift we could give our child is to teach them to love the Lord through our example. Teach them to be faithful in giving of their time, talent and treasure to His Kingdom. Teach them to live an overcoming life. Teach them to pray and read His word. Teach them how to hear from God. Teach them to walk in truth and to live a holy, acceptable life unto Him.

As parents, our responsibility is to point them to walk in Kingdom Ways. Activities and things of this world is going to fade away. Teach them to build their lives around God, seeking Him and all the things that they need will be added to them.

This is the greatest joy that a parent can have.

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

  11. 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
    Genesis 18:12-14

God is amazing. He can, and will do anything that is requested. We need to believe that 100% if there is at least 1% of a doubt it might not happen. God works 100% of the time why cant we give him 100% or our time?

  12. Genesis 18

22 From there the men turned and went on toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing in front of the Lord. 23 Abraham came closer and asked, “Are you really going to sweep away the innocent with the guilty? 24 What if there are 50 innocent people in the city? Are you really going to sweep them away? Won’t you spare that place for the sake of the 50 innocent people who are in it? 25 It would be unthinkable for you to do such a thing, to treat the innocent and the guilty alike and to kill the innocent with the guilty. That would be unthinkable! Won’t the judge of the whole earth do what is fair?”

From fifty to ten Abraham pled with God to not destroy the city. I am most assured he was thinking of his family who lived there . We must be desperate for the souls of this sinful world to pray to reach them before the day of judgement comes . In Jesus Name
Prayer an interceding before God for their souls. If we don’t pray for them reach for them who will?
I sat and watched a man without truth at a McDonalds proclaiming who Jesus was to a group of people just waiting to order food. He was not ashamed he was loud! It is time we too become bolder we are to close to this world being destroyed because of the wickedness that has overtaken it. We must take action we must take courage.

As Abraham with boldness spoke to God we too must call out for the lost in Jesus name.

  13. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    DONT LAUGH AT YOUR PROMISE

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

The question we all face. “Is ANY THING too hard for the Lord”?

GOD was offended that Sarah laughed within herself. This teaches us how closely GOD monitors our heart and even our emotions. She did not laugh out loud, but within herself. GOD heard it and HE is Strong and Bold, therefore he confronted Sarah.

This is why I say DONT LAUGH AT YOUR PROMISE

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

She was afraid and confused that GOD heard even her silent laugh. She could convince her husband that she didn’t laugh because Abraham could not hear her laugh. But GOD is so much more intimate with us than we could ever be even with a spouse of decades.

GOD Knows our response; physical and emotional.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

  14. 32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.

33 And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
Abraham interceding prayer for Sodom and Gomorrah almost pushed God to the limit of His patience. If we the same strength and devotion we could pray for Tarrant County and all the counties that surround them our revival will be without measure!!! But is going to take men and women of God in their knees in interceding prayer!!! Pray for your neighbors, your family members, your coworkers, for the stranger that crosses in front of you, for the car beside you on the red light, pray for our NATION, and it’s leaders( but PRAY!!! Pray so hard that the Lord will grant you miracles without measures!!!! In Jesus Name Amen

  15. Genesis 18

    1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

  16. 9. I have chosen him for a reason, namely that he will carefully instruct his children and his household to keep themselves strong in relationship to Me and to walk in My ways by doing what is good and right in the world and by showing mercy and justice to all others. I know he will uphold his end of the covenant, so that he can ensure My promises to him will be fulfilled and upheld as well. Voice

God knew He could count on Abraham to use what He was going to give him for the good of the Kingdom.
Are we limiting what God can bless us with because He can’t trust us with it?

  17. Genesis 18
    1. Jesus the Lord came to the plains at Mamre and Jesus was in the tent during the day
    2. Jesus opened his eyes and saw Three Men standing by him and then Jesus ran up then he meet the three men from the door and then Jesus Bowed.
3.And Jesus found Favor in his Eyes but he did want anybody to pass or go away so Jesus Prayed for his servant.
4.so Jesus said Have some Water you are fetched and then he Prayed for those People and then Jesus Rested under a tree and then he washed there feet

  18. 18: and he spake unto him again, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak:
Per adventure there shall be thirty be found there.
And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.
    ———
How beautiful is when we take our time to seek the Lord ,
When I start having a conversation with him, and we lost track of time …. and we even temp to ask again and again
Just to make sure, we understood or simply because we know that it is up to God( that it’s I. His hands) whatever the situation may be….
Abraham asked: oh let not the Lord be angry if I ask again…. he did it, I remover Gideon doing it too, I have done it.
    ——
Thought about this verse: my sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.
    —-
What a conversation, what a relationship
    What a union, just beautiful!

  19. 13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

Our God knows everything. Even when you think something in your mind and you think no one else bows what you thought. This is why when we are repenting we even say, “Lord, forgive me for everything be thought. . . “

14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

There is nothing too great for God! He is so great and mighty. There isn’t anything that he can’t do.

15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

We are human we make mistakes and He knows this. He tells our Pastor things. Don’t deny what He already knows. Just admit to our wrong and ask for forgiveness. Moving on without lying looks better than lying.

  20. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my Lord being old also? And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the Lord ? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
    Genesis 18:12‭-‬15 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.18.12-15.KJV

Wow, God called Sarah out and she denied it, God knows all he sees all, he was in the tent when she laughed and at the same time sitting with Abraham. It cracks me up when people try to get a one over on God, how is that possible? it’s not, we can deny our wrong till we can no longer speak, but God knows what we do! He loved Sarah and Abraham, he knew her hearts desire, and I beleive that her laughing wasnt out of Unbeleif, more like disbelief, ” I cant beleive that after all these years of wanting praying, and crying, God is going to bless us with a child and we are 150 years old” God knows what hes doing, Issac still had a full rich childhood being raised by elderly parents!

    First the Kingdom
When your in the midst of disbelief…God is good

  21. It’s so funny how people can hear or see something: then laugh. God has a sense of humor, but He is serious about His promises. God promised Abraham and Sarah a son. Sarah laughed due to her age. That is where all the difference is; God will not make a promise that He won’t keep. We forget that and say where is God now; well it depends on your level of faith. God will always come through, but it’s not on your time. It’s in God’s time. Make it count when you pray for the promise. Thank you Jesus for the promises you give us.

  22. iLove the Kingdom
Gen 18:15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh

Why do folks lie…maybe they are afraid. Afraid of what? Why was Sarah afraid? Because the angel confronted her unbelief. We find this same fear a lot of times at the altar. People come for healing and that spirit of unbelief manifests out of nowhere. This is what happened to Sarah. When the promise came she allowed the circumstances of her old body dictate Gods ability. This is one of the reasons people do not receive their miracles. They say, “Well, maybe it’s not God’s will to be healed today.”

God wants to do great things. God wants to do them for us. Is there anything too hard for God?

  23. Genesis 18: 12 [Amp] Therefore Sarah laughed to herself, saying, After I have pleasure and delight, my Lord ( husband) , being old also?.
1Peter. 3:6] It was thus that Sarah obeyed Abraham
[ following his guidance and acknowledging his headship over her by] calling him Lord ( master, leader, authority). And you are now her true daughters if you do right and let nothing terrify you [ not giving way to hysterical fears or letting anxieties unnerved you]. We all have made mistakes in our lives before. God knows our hearts and minds .For [ it is better to suffer [ unjustly] for doing right, if that should be God’s will, than to suffer [ justly] for doing wrong. I bless you and yours in the name of Jesus.

  24. 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

You can’t measure a miracle!! Break the rulers of limitation today and let God be God! He can and He will do the impossible!

  25. 32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.
33 And the Lord went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

    Ten, Ten, Ten

For ten souls that would be found holy. Wow. As I read this, my thoughts go back to my parents and grandparents prayers for me. I thank God for a heritage in God. That my family has prayed for me. Yet I know that many cannot say that, and thats ok, because we are all apart of the Family of God. Therefore, we have had many of our spiritual, parents and grandparent pray for us. We do not k ow what impact they have had on us, this is why we must continue to pray for the generation after us. We must share qith them how to seek after God’s Kingdom first in their lives.
    Ipray
    Iseek
    Ilove

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

  26. 18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

These 2 verses go hand in hand. Patriarchs in that day ruled their families and as a godly man, Abraham directed & caused a whole nation to be holy and separate unto the Lord. Parents today should expect their children to listen and obey, not bribing or threatening them to obey. Teaching them with love and firmness the ways of the Lord.

  27. Genesis 18:22-26
    22) And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.
    23) And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
    24) Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
    25) That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
    26) And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

We know that Lot and his family lived in Sodom, but when Abraham was talking to the Lord (in intercession), he didn’t just ask the Lord to save the city just for his family. He asked the Lord to save the city for 50, 45, 40, 30, 20, 10 righteous people.
When we intercede and pray, yes, we should ask the Lord to save our family, but we also need to intercede and pray that the Lord will save others also. (Whether they be friends, co-workers, neighbors, people we meet in stores and restaurants, on the streets, or our enemy).

The time is NOW to Intercede and Pray for our city, Fort Worth!

  28. The posture of expectation.

    1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

We live in Texas so we know what it means to stand at the door in the heat of the day. Surely this was not Abrahams favorite place to hang out. Surely there was a shade tree or a nice cool spot inside the tent where the breeze would come through. But Abraham, despite the discomfort of the heat, was waiting in anticipation for something. This is what expectation looks like. To someone that didn’t understand the promise of God, Abraham may have looked foolish just standing there in the door sweating in misery. But Abraham knew what he was waiting on and the heat was enough to get his eyes off the promise. If you are truly anticipating and expecting Gods promise in your life to come to pass and you trust that God did not lie to you, this is the posture to receive your promise. I stand at the door looking for Gods promise to come to pass. I am not just sitting in comfort or relaxed. God is not lax when it comes to his blessing s so I should not be lax receiving them. Let us be ready, at the door, with the posture of expectation!

  29. Genesis 18

After the Angels had visited with Abraham, and reasserted that Sarah would conceive, even if she was biologically too old. (God can do anything.) As the men started to leave and Abraham stood before the Lord, the Lord, in effect, asked Abraham if he wanted to know what the Lord was going to do. Was Abraham so blessed and blessed his household taught by him of God, that was he interested in what would happen to others?

As Abraham communed with the Lord, he bargained with the Lord, as he interceded for the lives of those who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah. The Lord granted his requests.

Intercessory prayers are very important in the life of a Christian to reach the lost. And for those lost to then be saved. God answers the prayers of fervent persons, when they pray for others who are not lost as well. It’s a path to miracles, signs and wonders. Praise God, and intercede .

  30. 10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

There is nothing that God can’t do. And there is nothing he already knows. You cannot run and you cannot hide for he know with all things.

  31. 14-15 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” But Sarah said, “I did not laugh,” because she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh.”

Nothing is to hard for the God over everything! Break the measurement over your faith in God and what he can do and let him do a unmeasurable miracle in your life! Don’t think God doesn’t know every thought and feeling we have because that’s how he sees our faith is our reaction to his promises. Take the measurement off of God and start putting faith in what’s to come!

  32. “Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD. And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” So the LORD said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.” Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it. ” And he spoke to Him yet again and said, “Suppose there should be forty found there?” So He said, “I will not do it for the sake of forty.” Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?” So He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.” Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.” So the LORD went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18:22-33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

    A search for the righteous.
My First thoughts was Abraham’s attempt to convince the Lord to save the city for the righteous sake. I then followed the thought with with what if some of those people are hungry and are seeking righteous ways but all they know is the ways around them. I then began to think about our city, how there’s over 800,000 people in Fort Worth alone Over 2,000,000 in DFW together. Why about this world. God is calling his last generation to seek and find all those who desire righteousness and hunger for truth before his final return. This world will be destroyed by fire but first we gotta consume folks with fire!
A call for the righteous sake before sodom is destroyed we gotta get after it. Don’t let your ministry be the only souls you’re after

  33. And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

Where would we be without a man of Gods prayer.

  34. We must realize that even in this day and time, there is nothing too hard for God do. He created the heavens and the earth, he parted the red sea, he shut the mouth of lions and brought men out of the fire with no scars. We serve an awesome God. There is nothing too hard for him to do or change. When we put him first, he will lead us to greatness. Keep your faith in God and allow him to direct your path.

  35. 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Is anything too hard for God?

This is a trust question, because it’s not that we don’t believe he can do it, we don’t believe we have the faith to receive from God. It’s a trust issue.

Sarah laughed at the promise because her reality superseded her faith.

  36. 10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

Sometimes we might laugh or question what God has promised us and say how God but if we do like Abraham did and trust in God with all our heart we will be just fine.

    Roman’s 6:20-21
    20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
    Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

  37. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

Did Sarah laugh because she didn’t have faith in how powerful our Lord is? With her age and all she didn’t believe what out Lord had speaked over her. I think at times we hear and see what God has planned for our lives but we “laugh” because we don’t believe he can move mountains. It’s important we keep our eyes on Jesus and move forward with whatver he gives us.

  38. Genesis 18:12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

    —Sarah laughed within herself

    Genesis 18:15 (KJV)
Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

    Daniel 10:12 (KJV)
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

    Lamentations 2:18 (KJV)
Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.

    2 Kings 10:31 (KJV)
But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.

    Jeremiah 17
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

  39. Verses 13-14 AMP “And the Lord asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh [to herself], saying, ‘Shall I really give birth [to a child] when I am so old?’ Is anything too difficult or too wonderful for the [f]Lord? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes, I will return to you and Sarah will have a son.” Her laughter was a sign of disbelief; but, she now knew that she had an appointed time to receive her blessing. Be patient, be faithful and be happy with what the Lord has promised you.

  40. Sarai listened in on a conversation between God and get husband and she laughed. I wonder how many times God waits to tell us of what is to come because out reaction may not be right. We are not ready to accept the news so He waits.

I want to live ready at all times to hear and receive what God has for me.

  41. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
    Genesis 18:10‭-‬11 KJV

We serve a miraculous God who often dwells in the impossible to make things possible. Hallelujah!

  42. 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

It may just seem so out off your mind that you cannot begin to put together or make sense of it. Nah it can’t be, you say. Even to the point of laughing because it seems so out of it. Yet for God, nothing is impossible. Are we ready to take him at His Word and believe for what for us is impossible, but for Him it’s a done deal?
He can do it! Whatever it is He can. We have to build our faith to be able to receive or believe for what we cannot. Yet He can.

  43. The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
    Proverbs 11:30‭-‬31 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.11.30-31.KJV

The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity]. If the righteous will be rewarded on the earth [with godly blessings], How much more [will] the wicked and the sinner [be repaid with punishment]!
    PROVERBS 11:30‭-‬31 AMP

  44. 14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

HAHAHA!!! NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR MY GOD!! los demonios tiemblan y huyen solo al mencionar SU NOMBRE, JESUS!!! HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

  45. “GOD continued, “The cries of the victims in Sodom and Gomorrah are deafening; the sin of those cities is immense. I’m going down to see for myself, see if what they’re doing is as bad as it sounds. Then I’ll know.””
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18:20-21‬ ‭MSG‬‬

We obviously know that the outcry of those that are lost are defeating, but if we were to get closer to those we come in contact with and really take the time to listen we could really hear their cry for help. We know they’re crying out for God but if we just listened a little bit closer we would really be able to help them with more than just finding salvation, maybe they need food, water, shelter. . . .next time just really take the time to listen and see what else they may have need of.

  46. 32 Finally, Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the LORD replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.” 33 When the LORD had finished his conversation with Abraham, he went on his way, and Abraham returned to his tent.

Negotiating with God. Abraham finally got his way, but to no avail. We all like to do the same thing. We’ll tell God, “what if, and , or but, or maybe”. We want something that will fill our needs, our healing, our financial woes. Lets just praise God, for all things at all times. God will provide and meet your needs and answer your prayers.

  47. 13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

I can understand Sarah’s laughter at the idea of bearing a son at her old age. Waiting is a hard thing when it comes to something one deeply desires. The fact that Sarah had already took matters into her own hands shows evident her desperation. Her laughter sounds like bitterness, and her lie an echo of denial. The pain that has scabbed over in Sarah’s heart is years of disappointment and discouragement. At this point she may not have accepted the coming of Isaac but her faithfulness will result in joyful laughter.
