Genesis 24

And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lordhad blessed Abraham in all things.

And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

And I will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

12 And he said O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.

13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:

14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.

18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.

19 And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.

20 And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.

21 And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not.

22 And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

23 And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?

24 And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.

25 She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.

26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the Lord.

27 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.

28 And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother’s house these things.

29 And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well.

30 And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well.

31 And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the Lord; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.

32 And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that were with him.

33 And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on.

34 And he said, I am Abraham’s servant.

35 And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

36 And Sarah my master’s wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath.

37 And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:

38 But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.

39 And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me.

40 And he said unto me, The Lord, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:

41 Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.

42 And I came this day unto the well, and said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:

43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

44 And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the Lord hath appointed out for my master’s son.

45 And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee.

46 And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also.

47 And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands.

48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.

49 And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.

50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the Lord: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.

51 Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master’s son’s wife, as the Lord hath spoken.

52 And it came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he worshipped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth.

53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.

56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.

58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men.

60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.

62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.

63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.

64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.

65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.

66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.

67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

  1. 3 And I will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

This is the second and only time in the Bible where a wife was chosen for a man that he did not have the liberty to choose his own. Adam was the first. Abraham servant later seeks out a sign to know who the best person fit for his son. The people we choose to associate in long car life with will literally make or break the ministry we have because the Bible declares that bad company corrupts good morals. For singles this is one of the best scriptures on being careful who you choose to marry because it will quite often determine the direction you have in life. For married people it is often a really great example on how to prepare your children how to choose a spouse for themselves in the future. Looking for direction and asking for sign from God it’s never too much or too complicated to ask. We are not inconveniencing our Lord by asking for a sign to make sure we are making the right decision. Rather than ask for help out of a situation we need to continue to see Christ for guidance through the situation so that we don’t need help. If he is guiding us, we are never going down the wrong path

  2. Genesis 24

1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lordhad blessed Abraham in all things.

2 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

  3. In this chapter we see obedience, obedience, obedience, faithfulness, faithfulness, faithfulness and blessing, blessing, blessing. Abraham’s servant simply had questions of clarification, as he wanted to make sure he knew exactly what he was suppose to do in whatever situation arose; but, he was obedient to his master’s instructions. Rebekah never hesitated and was obedient. Laban and Bethuel knew this was totally from God as it says in verses 50-51, as they too were obedient in letting Rebekah go as God had made it plain. When we take things before the Lord and are obedient to the calling; we are blessed. Always take everything to your altar.

  4. This just goes to show that when you trust in God: He will show you the path. We need to trust in God with all that we do. For me trust has been a hard thing to do; it has taken a long time for me to trust in anything or anybody. I will say this though; God I can put my trust into; my wife i can put my trust into, pastor I can put my trust into: why? God has made a way for me to open my heart to trust. Thank you Jesus for leading me into trusting again.

  5. 60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

Out of Rebekah’s obedience came a great nation, as well. This is one of the many testimonies in the Bible of faith, obedience, favor, grace and love. I always heard growing up in church…. “Never write a check your character cannot cash”. So true, how many times does God ask of us to do things and obey Him, even when we don’t see a clear path or a smooth ending. How many times are we selfish with our time abs commitment and choose other things when we don’t fully understand God’s plan? If you can’t obey Him, how can you say you have faith? I pray God helps me to keep the faith even when I don’t understand things and situations around me! Faith over fear, obedience over faith… #lordmakemehouseofprayer

  6. Genesis Chapter 24 verses 1-4
    1. So When Abraham was Elderly and could not do stuff on his own anymore like he could not do what younger people could do so when Abraham would Struggle with being Elderly Jesus Blessed And Prayed Abraham by Helping him with the Things he could not do on him own.
    2. So When Abraham Walked into the House of his Older Servant The One that did everything Abraham told him to do he told him I Pray for You put your Hand under my Thigh where my leg is.
    3. so when Jesus told People not to say Bad Words Jesus of Heaven and Earth said that Men would not Marry a Lady and Have Kids of the Canaanites If they use dirty words.
    4. so when People Went into His Country and saw his People Issac Married And had a Son Named After Him.

  7. 63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.

So now Issac and Rebekah are married, Issac was finally comforted after his mom passed, he needed it, love and marriage is so complicated, at least the emotion behind it, when we are children we receive comfort from our mothers. they pour into us constantly to mold us and shape us and they not only bandage ouchies. they tend to cover wounds that are deep, a wife isnt a Mother to her husband, she provides comfort to a husband in a whole different way, God made us that way, girlfriends cant do it, sisters or cousins, but the Love of a Wife and a Mother is unmatched, The love of God is the only exception. his love is life changing!

    First The Kingdom
    EVEN IN GRIEF…GOD IS GOOD

  8. 7 The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

When Abraham told the servant to make an oath to follow the instructions of the Lord and he would have to go back to the home land of Abraham to retrieve a wife for Isaac. This was a great tasking to do because the instructions were specific in detail and how it would be of the will of both Abraham and of God. When we are given specifics in a task there is always some over analyzing how we could do just enough to barely get the job done. But obeying the words and the will of God allowed him to do as God commanded. Over all Isaac was given Rebekah and it was from Abraham’s brethren just like it was commanded.

When we follow the will of God we have specific instructions and we have to be obedient and not defiant to the will of God. Some times it may feel as though we will not or can not perform what is asked of us, but if we seek first the kingdom of God and his will we will accomplish what has been set before us.

Follow God and we will be blessed!

  9. And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
    Genesis 24:63 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.24.63.KJV

Self care is important. Having that time alone so we can meditate over the Word of God and quiet ourselves to listen to His Voice is so important. When it becomes a daily practice is can be life-ALTARing!

  10. The Lord who rules heaven brought me here from the land where I was born and promised that he would give this land to my descendants forever. When you go back there, the Lord will send his angel ahead of you to help you find a wife for my son. “I thank you, Lord God of my master Abraham! You have led me to his relatives and kept your promise to him.”

Nothing is by coincidence here. When we stay connected to GOD He shall show you he truly is faithful. Live life in obedience to Him and not According to your fleshly desires. Do not rush into anything you shouldn’t touch, but trust Him in all things.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
    Numbers 23:19 KJV

  11. Genesis 24:13-67 Divine Sovereignty and Human responsibility

We can trust God to lead us into His sovereign will for our lives which operates in cooperation with our human choices.

Numbers 6:22-26. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them , The Lord Bless thee , and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

  12. 3 And I will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

It is important to realize that this was done in the physical getting a wife not from this world but how many times do we do this in the spiritual?
Instead of getting what we need from God or the church or Gods word we run to the world to what is close or easy to get. It would of been faster and easier to just get a wife from the people around them. But Abraham knew that if the women wasn’t on the same page, same playing field as his son and that was to get where God was taking them than it would mess everything up.
We must realize where God is leading us it is not going to be easy some times hard but if we will stick close to God and the man of God in our lives everything will be okay.

  13. Genesis 24
42 “When I came to the spring today, I said, ‘Lord, God of my master Abraham, if you will, please grant success to the journey on which I have come. 43 See, I am standing beside this spring. If a young woman comes out to draw water and I say to her, “Please let me drink a little water from your jar,” 44 and if she says to me, “Drink, and I’ll draw water for your camels too,” let her be the one the Lord has chosen for my master’s son.’

    An act of kindness
    Beyond what was expected
    Brought a Blessing

Rebekah gave and then went beyond what the servant had asked it took more effort to water the camels . I believe this beautiful story shows a depth to serving a love if not what was expected but service from the heart. Both Rebekah and the servant. Prayer attitude in the midst . The servant could have just chosen any girl but he was careful to pray and ask for God’s guidance. Rebekah went beyond what was asked by the servant in return her actions of humility brought her blessings she probably was not expecting at the well that day.
Oh what a love that God bestows. We have the opportunity to serve and He fulfilling us daily
at His well. Soon we will be His bride but as we wait we must wait upon serve Him with every thing going beyond just the call of a performance a duty but with a love to serve . Rebekah did not hesitate in serving at the well and what rewards awaited her. Shall we work with all of our heart shall we serve as we wait for our Bridegroom so that He too will be pleased to find us at the well not just taking for ourselves but giving to others as well .
You never know what can happen at the well .
As I wait upon You Lord I grow stronger.

Lead us daily Lord to reach to those thirsty for You. Those seeking reaching looking longing . Help us to serve with all of our heart in Jesus Name.

How beautiful that we find Jesus at Jacob’s Well
    John 4
Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.

7 When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a])

10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”

13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”

    Order our steps Lord ……….

  14. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    WHERE TO FIND A WIFE

42 And I came this day unto the well, and said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go:
    43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;

There are many avenues in our society to find a wife and all of them have their success/failure stories. But we find a place and a principal here.

    The PLACE

The well, the source of water the place where water is drawn or given. This could be likened unto the Spirit of GOD. The Place is a Spiritual place, church, conference or such opportunities through the church, Apostolic Singles Meetings, Apostolic Web Sites, etc. Is she spiritual, does she pray, is she faithful to GOD?

    The PRINCIPAL

Servant, will she share or serve a drink of water. The law of attraction is found in serving. Serving GOD First always, and willing to serve others in public.

Always seek a wife around the altar of the LORD.

  17. 58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go

When the will of God is so evident there should be no reason to hesitate or delay. Rebekah knee this and submitted herself. God wants to use you, He’s calling and seeking who is willing to go.

“Where You go, I’ll go. Where You stay, I’ll stay. When You move, I’ll move. I will follow You.”

  18. 60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

    Be bleased.

We never truly know how God will use us. With different blessings and promises for each of us. We must follow the will of God, and leading of His Spirit. When we do this,His Kingdom will be established more and more. As we grow, as we seek after Him, and as we work for His Kingdom. We will be blessed. So go out today and everyday after, and know that you are blessed.

  19. 48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.

49 And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.

50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the Lord: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good.
A commandment from the Lord was nothing taken lightly in this day. In today’s time we have it to easy. If we want a word from the Lord the access to the holy of holy’s is way easier than before. The veil is torn and when that happened we now just have to buckle in a good prayer meeting and God will move in the midst. But in they’re time it wasn’t that easy, you had to be a priest to get a word so when I commandment from God was made I’ll say it again it was NOTHING TAKEN LIGHTLY. We gotta get back in that state of mind. Don’t take a word from God lightly. That means every church service we shouldn’t take that lightly. It is such a privilege and honor to be before the Lord.. don’t take it lightly…

  20. 12 And he said O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.

There would be less divorce if only every single person would take the time to pray for their future spouse and parents pray for your future son or daughter in law!! God will give you the desires of your heart!!! In Jesus Name

  21. 7 The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

From Abraham to his servant, Rebekah and her family, we see the hand of God and see the faith and obedience form all those involved in bringing the promises of God to pass. God is well able to do what he says he will do if we will do our part and believe and obey. Then we will see the blessings of God. I especially have respect for the unnamed servant who had the control of all Abraham’s wealth. He humbly obeyed his master, seeking God along the way so he could accomplish what he had been tasked to do. No doubt he was blessed as well even though scripture doesn’t point it out specifically.

The Lord is saying that Rebekah shall follow the servent to Abraham’s son isaac to marry him and the servant bowed his head and blessed the lord.

  23. iLove the Kingdom
Hear Ye, Hear Ye, oh ye young lads searching for a wife; y’all need to go to the well to find a good one. Abraham gave great advice and believed God would provide the right woman. She was a worker y’all. A camel’s water intake varies according to his environment, his exertion level and the amount of fat in his hump. A thirsty camel can drink more than 30 gallons of water in less than 15 minutes. She watered 10 of them there rascals. She didn’t have a lazy bone about her and she didn’t even know this feller.

God is looking to bless folks…but we all must take on the role of a servant and not complain about it. Come on y’all, stop crying about how full your wagon is and just get to work. (We are the bride of Christ and he aint looking for a laZy bride y’all)

  24. 24:8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

  25. 4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

5 And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

Abraham wanted to ensure that Isaac had a wide from his home land and not from the country wherein they currently dwelled. He was concerned for the future of his child.

As parents God has given us the responsibility to lead and direct our children in the ways of God. We are to steer them towards those who are kingdom minded and away from those who are worldly minded. We can’t choose who they fall in love with but we can choose who we allow them to associate with while living in our homes. We must prayerfully cover them so that they choose wisely. IT MATTERS WHO YOU MARRY!! If someone they are interested in for future is worldly pray that person out of their life. What you see is typically what you get.

  26. 43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink;
44 And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the Lord hath appointed out for my master’s son.

I’ve heard people say that they don’t know how to or can’t hear the voice of God. When we pray and are listening and waiting for His voice it isn’t always audible, sometimes He tells us through actions and signs. I’ve prayed this way several times before. I’ve needed something and want to be sure it is His will and so I’ve prayed, “Lord, for me to know this is Your Will I want it to happen this way with these details and then I will know that this is your will.” I waited almost four years for a prayer like that to come to past, however, when it did, I knew without a shadow of a doubt, it was His will.

  27. Genesis 24
vs 26-27) And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s bretheren.

Vs 52) And it came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he worshipped the LORD, bowing himself to the earth.

The first thing we should always do, when God answers prayer, is to worship the Lord.

  28. 57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.

To go have our hearts set to follow Gods will and even when other people see and may want to keep you back for us to fight and continue to follow God to not put any excuse to why we don’t go after our calling

  29. Genesis 24:12, “And he said, O LORD God of my master Abraham, I PRAY thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.”

Genesis 24:27, “And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, THE LORD LED ME to the house of my master’s brethren.”

When we PRAY and Seek God’s Guidance, HE WILL LED US the right way.

  30. Genesis 24 : 26 -27 [Amp] The man bowed down his head and worshipped the Lord.
[27] And said? Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham. Who has not left my master bereft and destitute of His loving-kindness and steadfastness, As for me, going on the way [ of obedience and faith] the Lord led me to the house of my master’s kinsman. Amen As we seek and pray first God will guide us the right way. Thank you Jesus .

  31. When we learn to put aside our own desires, God will reveal his desires to us. If we are going to make it to heaven, we must be about our father’s business. Learn to lay aside every sin and weight, so that we may obtain God’s blessings. At times it will seem hard, but greater is he that is within us.

  32. And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.
    Genesis 24:12‭-‬14 KJV

    Be specific when you pray!!

    • Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
      Philippians 4:6 KJV

  33. Growing up i would pray and ask god to forgive me but nobody told me that i needed to be saved, that i needed the holy ghost then get baptized. When i did both of those it was an eye opener as if i had many more things to do for god. So for me i dont think im close to ready for a significant other. If god has other plans for me he’ll send someone my way and i will ask god and look for signs that it is god and not the devil trying to keep me from entering the Kingdom.

  34. 6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

If the Lord has brought you out of a place, situation or some other thing, he does not intend for you or your defendants to go back to that place.

  35. 14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

Praying specific prayers. When we are specific when asking for things, and believing these things will happen in the way that we need them to, i think takes alot of faith in knowing that our God is a God of all things possible. The servant sure thought so, he planned it down to the detail. And moments later his prayers were answered and a great blessing was conceived. Being more indept with the way our needs need to be met is important. What better way to build and establish a relationship with our Lord then to open that level of confidence in communication, to say, lord you know our needs but we need them to be fulfilled like this and in this way, of course its always going to be his will over ours, but if we have enough faith in God that he will provide then we should have enough faith to believe that he will provide in a way that suits us.

  36. 54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

He put his needs to the side to finish what God had sent him to do. Once he did it, he was able to eat and worship God some more for guiding him to the right place.

  37. 8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

Abraham understands the order God set for headship in an alignment designed by him. Once Isaac is to marry, the woman should stand by his side. Abraham is right to make sure that the woman his son marries is willing to submit. He is not looking for a slave. It means that as a married couple they would submit to one on other. In order to make anything work (friendships, marriages, partnerships) their must be teamwork and respect.

  38. 1Abraham was now a very old man, and the LORD had blessed him in every way. 2One day Abraham said to his oldest servant, the man in charge of his household, “Take an oath by putting your hand under my thigh. 3Swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and earth, that you will not allow my son to marry one of these local Canaanite women. 4Go instead to my homeland, to my relatives, and find a wife there for my son Isaac.”

No matter how old you are, others should always respect and honor you. Even at his old age, Abraham commanded respect, and others gave him the respect. And God will continue to bless you no matter your age.
