Genesis 37

And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.

These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:

For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

12 And his brethren went to feed their father’s flock in Shechem.

13 And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.

14 And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.

15 And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?

16 And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.

17 And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.

18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

21 And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him;

24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.

26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph was not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.

30 And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

31 And they took Joseph’s coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;

32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son’s coat or no.

33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son’s coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

34 And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

35 And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

36 And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, and captain of the guard.

  1. Joseph was a dreamer and his brothers hated him they were also jealous. In life you will have haters that are jealous and will try 2 bring you down but if you have God on your side you have nothing to worry about

  2. 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

There will always be people who get so jealous whenever god shows favor to they’re brother or sisters in Christ when god loves all his children equally even the ones who turn their backs to him, we will always have people who get so envious of others blessings and miracles when they truly don’t understand the trials and tribulations that their brothers or sisters had to go through……ands when we call their names out and in prayer and pray that they wouldn’t let bitterness stray them from their walk with their father who loves them.

  3. 23And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; 24And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

    First the kingdom in dreaming

No matter how you are used in the gifts of God, there is always someone that is going to try to derail all of your progress. Here we find Joseph being despised because 1. He was his father’s favorite and 2. He was a dreamer.

There are those that we consider dream killers. They are those that are envious of us that are used mightily by God for the kingdom. We have not allow the negativity to detour us from the path that God has set before us. Because the steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord.

If we seek first the kingdom, God will give us the world if only we give him all that we have. I’ve always preached that God is not limited by what we don’t have, he is only limited by what we are not willing to give him.

  4. 18 “And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.”
    ‭‭
24 “And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.”
    ‭‭
25 “And they sat down to eat bread……..

That’s how the enemy works he conspired against you
From far away and then he get you , and then like nothing happened he said down to eat bread Like a normal date for him .

  5. Verse 11 AMP “Joseph’s brothers were envious and jealous of him, but his father kept the words [of Joseph] in mind [wondering about their meaning].” I believe Jacob (Israel) always had this in the forefront of his mind because he knew that in order for something like this to take place, some things had to happen and he didn’t think they would be good. Sometimes we see our children do some things we may not approve of or think they should do; but, all we can do is pray that they remember all that has been poured into them…..Jesus. We need to always send the angels before them, asking the Lord to guide them and protect them. Lord I pray for my girls; but, also for every one of my little Sovereign Soldiers that come through our class that they always remember who they can call upon when life is sad, when life is unfair and when life is good…..for God is good!

  6. 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

There will be people out there that will dislike, or become jealous of the position you were givin. They will do there best to try and derail you from it, but do not falter for God is on your side. Do not give in to there thoughts and words. Keep pushing threw and pray.

  7. iLove the Kingdom
Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

Most time when you are highly favored you can be highly envied. Joseph was a good feller but you can’t go round flaunting dreams. Folks despise instead of following. If they learn to follow, they would be blessed as well.

  8. 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

Again, we see the affects of the original seeds of deceit. Jacob/Israel deceived his father Issac. The gets upset when Laban deceived him and then he is troubled when his own children deceive Hamor & Shechem. But our deductions not only affected us but everything that comes after us as well.

    31 And they took Joseph’s coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;
32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son’s coat or no.
33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son’s coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

Jacob/Israel doesn’t realize that his sons have deceived him. He lives without the knowledge of deceit. Even after he is repentant and God has changed his name, he is still feeling the repercussions.

  9. 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

Obviously the dreams of Joseph has really made his siblings upset and want to conspire against him.
Reuben was able to stop them from slaying his brother but why didn’t he have the courage to say any plot against their brother is wrong.

  10. 11 But while his brothers were jealous of Joseph, his father wondered what the dreams meant.

The danger of sin!!! Jealousy turned unto hatred to lie to disobedient and pride. These things were how his brothers felt when all Jospeh had was favor. When Jesus gives us favor we will be hated by others by the Lord will switch it around for GOOD!!! There nothing that can stop the blessing of God upon us.

  11. Genesis 37: 11-12 [Amp] Joseph’s brothers envied him and were jealous of him , But his father observed the saying and pondered over it.
[12] Joseph’s brothers went to shepherd and feed their father’s flock near Shechem. Joseph’s story ; the account of a son who was his father of a coat of many colors; and the selling of young Joseph into Egyptian slavery by cruel and jealous brothers.. Lord I pray that you send fourth your angels for your protection around my family and guild them to the truth. Lord send fourth your angels for their protection and healing and deliverance. I bless each and everyone in the name of Jesus.

  12. “And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou? And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks.”

“And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/1/gen.4.9.kjv

    I seek my brethren
Joseph seemed a bit innocent in this whole thing. As I was reading I stopped right when I read “I seek my brethren” and I thought back to Genesis 4 thought how Cain hid his brother. We have one story where one brother seeks and the other says “I know not, am I my brothers keeper”

You see Joseph was a leader and the leaders aren’t gonna stand around and wait they’re gonna go find their brother. I know Joseph’s brothers throw him in a den and then sell him but that’s okay because he goes on and that’s when he becomes the leader. We still have to go search for our brother rather than waiting on the Lord to ask you where’s your brother. What are you gonna say “am I my brothers keeper?” Or are you gonna say you searched for him and searched and searched some more.

Go find your brother or your sister and let’s bring em to the house of the Lord

  13. 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

parents should not show favoritism to one child over another as this causes strife within the family. God loves each of us the same way.

  14. Envy, jealousy, strife could really cause a lot of divisions and problems within a family. Siblings always think the other sibling is “the favorite”. This is an everyday occurrence in every family due to a parent giving more attention to one of the children. I know that God uses certain people and situations to have His Purpose take place, but it still hurts. It still stirs our hearts when we see a sibling purposely harming us. It hurts more than when is a stranger because you trust your brother or your sister and don’t expect them to harm you. At the end we all know it’s for His Glory and His Glory alone. So just put it in God’s hands and let it go and let God deal with the situation. Thank you Jesus for fighting my battles.

  15. 5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

You won’t always be favored by everyone. Chances are you’ll probably ruffle some feathers trying to fulfill your dreams – all that matters is you’re following God and pleasing Him!

  16. 6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
7 For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.

Not everyone is going to support what God destines you to do. No matter how close you may feel to them or supportive you may want people to be, you will not always be supported by the ones you love. Not everyone is going to understand your situation nor will they be as excited about it as you. The Bible doesn’t say how Joseph felt about his brothers reactions but it does say that he kept going back to them to talk to them how about his dreams and it was his brothers that plotted against him. Joseph didn’t seem to allow anyting to taint his character nor the vision that God gave him. This is the characteristics that we must all seek to live by. Not allowing anything or anybody to influence us against the will of God nor discourage us for the visions God gives us. But to keep on plowing for the harvest

  17. 3 Jacoba loved Joseph more than any of his other children because Joseph had been born to him in his old age. So one day Jacob had a special gift made for Joseph—a beautiful robe.b 4 But his brothers hated Joseph because their father loved him more than the rest of them. They couldn’t say a kind word to him.

As parents we love our children. Be careful as a parent to show favoritism towards one child over the other. Children will see it it, and be resentful. I don’t understand how that can happen, but somehow it does. Give equal treatment to your children, and love them both equally.

  18. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
    Genesis 37:6 KJV

When The LORD is speaking directly to you through dreams, it’s best not to share. Not everyone that you call friend is truly a friend but a ‘foe.’ When G.J OD calls you and anoints you, He is simply calling you for a mission. His brothers and parents could not understand Joseph’s dream. His dream was prophetic for the future, to save his people.
Allow the LORD to use you today in His Kingdom and only for His Glory. Let the prophesies come to pass, even if you and no one else will understand.

  19. In today’s chapter, we find that Joseph’s brothers hated him, hated him yet the more, and then envied him.
Hatred and Envy are two forms of the works of the flesh, as found in Galatians 5:19-21. The end of vs. 21 says, “… that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

We must always be Seeking First the Kingdom of God.
We must always be walking in the Spirit, so we don’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Gal. 5:16).

The only way we can Seek First the Kingdom of God and walk in the Spirit, is to Build An Altar And Never Let The Fire On The Altar Burn Out!

    How’s Your Altar Today?

  20. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.

Here’s the thing about Joseph; we all know what happens to Joseph, but take this from this chapter. People are going to hate no matter what you say or do. We need to be steadfast and stand firm; some have been drawn away because of the disdain for the type of church we are; for the lifestyle we lead. They don’t want the truth; all they want is the fluff bible. People hate when they hear the truth of God’s word. Don’t let it sway you from the truth; push through it and come out with being stronger in Jesus.

  21. Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content. They had this whole plan in place, and the midianites, they saw a great opportunity, now they have to cover up everything, schemes work for so long, but eventually the truth of it all are revealed, if only they knew that just them throwing Joseph in the pit , put Gods plan in motion!

    First The Kingdom
Even in a pit…God is Good!!

  22. The jealousy of Joseph’s brothers started him on a journey that God used to be there saving grace in the end.

Jealousy is cruel as the grace as stated In Solomon 8:9.

The brothers jealousy pushed Joseph into his destiny.

There will be those that are jealous of the gift it’s that God gives us. We must be like Joseph let it propel us into our destiny instead of stopping us because we don’t want to hurt their feelings.

  23. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    DREAMERS DREAM AND HATERS HATE

5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

The call of GOD to Leadership is a often a lonely and contensious life. Joseph was excited about the DREAM that GOD had given him, but because of the FAVOR that his father had shown him, his own brothers hated him. It is sad but true that we cannot share our GOD sized DREAMS with everyone.

Joseph was no doubt aware of the opposition and hate that his brothers had toward him. Yet he Dreamed another DREAM. We must never allow HATERS to Hinder our DREAM.

DREAMER keep DREAMING and refuse to allow HATERS to affect your DREAM.

GOD DREAMS come from HIM and we are foolish and ignorant to cut them off. DREAM ON and LIVE for GOD to see them come to pass.

We must prepare for the 3000 soul Harvest on 1 Day in Fort Worth in JESUS Name. This is my DREAM from the LORD.

  24. Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

  25. The death of identity.

    31 And they took Joseph’s coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;
32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son’s coat or no.
33 And he knew it, and said, It is my son’s coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.

At this point Joseph’s identity was dead. What Hos Father knew of him and his understanding was dead. However, this had to have happened in order for the Dreamers dreams to be fulfilled. In order for Joseph to later on, save His Family, his identity had to be stripped and killed off.
Maybe at somepoint in your life, you have felt that a part of you, or your idenetity was taken from you. But look at you now, look at what God is doing. This is a fore shadowing if what God does for us. When we are saved, He changes us in a way that people do not recognize us. That when we speak and do things it is different. In order for us to do the will of God, our identity has to change, we become new people. If we continue to do the same things from the time we are lost to the time we are saved, can we really say that we are a changed person? Its when we seek after Gods Kingdom that we are changed. The deeper we go the more we become like Him.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

  26. Let us dream together

5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Our job as brothers in the church is to lift each other up and encourage one another, to promote one another and to cause one another to do great things. If we are constantly jealous of one another we will never see what God truly wants to do among us. Let us dream together and promote those dreams to fruition. Together we are stronger.

  27. Genesis 37
11 So his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept thinking about these things.

12-13 His brothers had gone off to Shechem where they were pasturing their father’s flocks. Israel said to Joseph, “Your brothers are with flocks in Shechem. Come, I want to send you to them.”

    Joseph said, “I’m ready.”

14 He said, “Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are doing and bring me back a report.” He sent him off from the valley of Hebron to Shechem.

Joseph was ready to serve his brothers even in the midst of their jealousy and hate. Adversity and challenges cannot keep us from serving for the Kingdom . He was confident in what he was doing. It saddens me when you hear talk of jealousy or discord within the natural family but so much more in the spiritual family. I pray for unified efforts as the ENDTIME is here . The world is crying peace tje body Christ must be the example.
    In Jesus name.

    I Corinthians 1:10

    New International Version
I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

  28. 8 And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

When he see that your dreams are causing your family to despise you, should you hold your dreams to yourself? There will come a time when God lays it on your heart to tell your dream and when it is that time, He also will have prepared the listeners to receive it. For Joseph, I don’t think there was going to be a good time as he was already seen as their father’s favorite and jealousy already ran deep between the mothers of these men. Jealousy and envy destroys you inside just as hatred does. No good can come from these emotions. If we find them in us, we have to give them to God and let him work on us and our situation.

  29. Genesis 37:3
Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

    *by God’s design

*Matthew 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

*Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

5 ¶ And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

*Luke 17:30-30 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

  30. “His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭37:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Being a leader is never easy, you will always have somebody that has something negative to say, either about you or the situation you are trying to oversee.

““Don’t shed any blood. Throw him into this cistern here in the wilderness, but don’t lay a hand on him.” Reuben said this to rescue him from them and take him back to his father.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭37:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

But despite the opposition you gave as a leader remember there is always somebody in your corner fighting and advocating for you!

  31. 37:5 And Joseph dreamed a dream and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.
    ——-
I humbly say I am blessed to had been chosen from the Lord out of all of my siblings (5 sisters, mom dad…)
No one absolutely goes to church . And it hurts….
Joseph’s brothers hated him…. I do t think my sisters hate me, yet we must endure and pray for their soul( salvation )
    ——
    God save my family🙏🙏🙏
Bring deliverance , break strong holds and bring them to you before it’s too late. Just like you did with Joseph and his family.
And yes alt was parting for God’s mercy and forgiveness just like Joseph asked you for his fam.
    🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  32. “One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. “Listen to this dream,” he said. “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them.”
    ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭37:5-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Bible tells us that God may speak through dreams, but it doesn’t give us a guidebook for dream interpretation. Most of all, know the Bible to know the voice of God. We should expect that God speaks to us in the Bible, and if He were to speak in a dream, it would be unexpected.

  34. And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmaelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.
    Genesis 37:25 KJV

Doing something you know is wrong (sin) doesn’t just happen. You don’t all of sudden find yourself committing a treacherous act out of the blue. It starts with a thought, a seemingly harmless thought. During this temptation there are numerous times for us to repent and ask forgiveness from God because his word says he makes a way of escape for us (I Cor 10:13), however, it is up to us to make the decision of whether we will turn away or indulge in.

  35. Meanwhile, the Midianite traders arrived in Egypt, where they sold Joseph to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. Potiphar was captain of the palace guard.
    Genesis 37:36 NLT

God will always make a way out for you. No matter what the situation is. It may be an immediate Deliverance or he may walk with you through the storm but he will never leave you in your situation.

  36. 24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it Joseph went from being in a pit to being a ruler over Egypt this shows me that you would go thru your hardest times to get where god wants to put you. there would be pain in the night but joy comes in the morning

  37. Meanwhile Jacob had settled down where his father had lived, the land of Canaan. This is the story of Jacob. The story continues with Joseph, 17 years old at the time, helping out his brothers in herding Flocks. These were his half brothers actually, the sons of his father’s wives Bilhah and Zilpah. And Joseph brought his father bad reports on them. Israel loved Joseph More than any of his other sons because he was the child of his old age. And he made him an elaborately embroidered coat. When his brothers realized that their father loved him more than them, they grew to hate him – they wouldn’t even speak to him.
    Genesis 37:1-4

Joseph gave his father account of their Ill conduct, that he might restrain them. Not as a tale-bearer, to sow discord but as a faithful brother.

I John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Keep dreaming no Matter the haters!

  38. 10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

Not every one will believe or support your dreams. It takes faith, first, to believe in what God has shown, and second to stand firm in the faith of what you believe God for. Then it takes even greater faith to go through the process. God will at times show you something, show you part, but will test your faith to believe HIM for and through the process. He may just show you point A and point D, and perhaps not how you get from a to it, D. It takes faith to faith, glory to glory kind of process. Many will not believe, many will mock and ridicule, many will contradict and say its impossible, but stand firm in your faith, and tell God that you still believe. All you need is someone to believe with you in crazy, for that crazy faith. Matthew 18 puts it like this; “…that jf two of you shall agree as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

  39. No matter what season or pit we are in in life Jesus will be with us every step of the way. Thank you Jesus. You are worthy of praise

  40. 19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

Even when others are Mocking you God is preparing you. Joseph was not just a dreamer because many have dreams but Joseph was a God dreamer. Through others mooching and torture Joseph was being built to be a fierce leader.

  41. 26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content.

Just because you didnt put your hand in the cookie jar doesnt mean that you didnt eat a cookie. Thats was pretty bad, i know. Joseph didnt die by hands of his brothers but they technically still “killed” him. Sin is sort of the same thing just because you werent personally commiting such act doesnt mean you did nothing wrong if you benifited from it. ???

  42. 36 And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, and captain of the guard.

Whatever it may look like , smell like, taste like, sound like, we MUST TRUST IN GOD so much that we may KNOW, THAT HE HAD EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL!!!

  43. 18: And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

    Sin never “just” happens.
There’s always a thought that molds into action.

Be careful what you dwell on, your thoughts will become actions on day as well!
