Exodus 2

And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.

And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.

And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews’ children.

Then said his sister to Pharaoh’s daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.

And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?

19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.

20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.

22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

  1. 1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.

God is so big and so mighty!! All this years reading the Bible from start to finish and it is the first time I realize that Moises was from the tribe of Priesthood!!!! A Pure Levi! In the same way I wonder if Moises knew his purpose in God’s will. Although raised as an Egyptian prince, he never fit in! He was having what we now call an identity crisis. Until he snaps! And seeks revenge for one of his Hebrew brothers! God NEVER FORGETS, but we have not, because we asked not. When was the last time that God respected your prayers and supplications!!

Through everything there is a process. Prayer is one of them. Although prayer is just a simple conversation with God, we must remember that no one likes it when someone just goes straight into asking. Imagine you just met your neighbor and immediately ask to borrow your most expensive tool. You would be a bit hesitant, but when is your best friend and you known them for years you just handed over like it cost a few pennies. Is the same way with God. We must build a relationship, praise Him, talk about your day, listen to what He has to say, then like a kid that just soften Daddy’s heart, you make your petition and again Praise Him and Thank Him like is already been done! Trusting that He can and He will!!! God is so Good!!! HE NEVER FORGETS!! In Jesus Name Amen

  2. 8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.
9 And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

GOD’S timing is, was and ALWAYS will be perfect!!! HIS WAYS ARE PERFECT!!! So who in the world gets paid to breast feed their own child??? But why for a purpose!!! Who knew that MOSES would be the one that GOD chose to use to do great things!??
GOD has a purpose for our life and we may not exactly know where we are supposed to be BUT GOD KNOWS!!! As long as GOD IS ON MY SIDE, ECHOLOCATION WILL BE ALL RIGHT!!!
    HALELUJAH!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  3. 22. And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

Do you ever feel like a stranger in a strange land?
    There’s a reason for that.

    John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

    2 Corinthians 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

    John 17:14
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

  4. 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

This is exactly where God wanted the children of Israel, because scripture stated He looked upon the children of Israel and had respect for them. It also stated that God heard their groaning and remembered the covenant made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God will never leave you nor forsake you and there will at times seem like He is not there. But God is waiting on us to activate the connection from our end and not the other way around.

Seeking first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness will allow a relationship that will allow us to ask what we have need of and God will provide it. Even in the beginning of all the groaning God was getting ready to step into the camp of the Israelites and provide a deliverer called Moses. We have to heed the call of God and turn away from the circumstances that surround us. Look up for our salvation drawers nigh!

8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.

  6. God hears His people’s cry
Exodus 2:23,25 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

Psalm105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
Psalm 105:42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

    God is always Faithful!

    Exodus 3:7 says And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

God hears our cry! He is a Faithful God!

  7. Exodus Chapter 5 verses 5-8 is telling me that Pharaoh had a daughter and she would come by the river then she saw the ark and the Flags and she had her maid to get the flags.then she saw her Daughter when she opened it and she cried and she said this is one of the Hebrews Children and then Pharaoh said to his Sister shall I go to the nurse of the Hebrew Women where she can care for the child then and then Pharaoh Daughter said to the Maid Go and get the Children’s Mother

  8. 12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

No matter how we may try to hide what we do, someone, especially God knows what we have done.

John 7:4  For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret,…
Luke 8:17  For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
Luke 12:2  For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

  9. Exodus 2
    In A House of Faith
Hebrews 11:23 : By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s command.

From the beginning of Moses birth he was born iInto a House of Faith . His mother knew God had a purpose for her child and she was going to do everything she could to see it fulfilled . Faith was stronger than the proclamation made that baby boys were to be killed . We do not read about her fear but her faith. She came up with a plan and trusted God. She released her faith though evidence was unseen I know she held tightly to her belief that God would take care of her baby. Faith is not tangible. In In A House of Faith Faith begins its work as the releasing process begins releasing
    Fear of the Facts
    Anxiety of the Unknown
    Intimidating Surrounding Dangers
    Tormenting Thoughts
    Human Understanding

When we release the natural as this mother released her child into the Nile River Faith now was birth .
In A House of Faith you are nit watching for the worse you are in anticipation of what is getting ready to take place . As Miriam stood watch over her brother she too portrayed being raised in a house of Faith . Awaiting to watch the plan God already had in the making. Recently someone asked me to have some crazy faith for a prayer they had been praying. They wanted someone to believe with them . Faith that goes beyond the natural eye to see what is truly at the moment not attainable. This type of faith becomes powerful. It goes beyond the facts.
What if Moses parents had went with the facts and fretted about the circumstances around them ? Fear instead of faith would have ruled their home.
    Faith releasing Faith
    Anticipating God’s Plan
Inward peace that goes beyond understanding
    Trust all will be well
Hope for the things we are believing for

The evidence of the not seen!
Yes In A House of Faith it may appear that the odds are against you but Faith overrides all the Facts !

Because of a mother’s faith Gods plan began to unfold…..,how just like our God to bring right back into the arms of a mother who had faith her child back into A House of Faith

    Hebrews 11:1
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

    Hold to your promises
Hold to your Faith no matter what the facts are keep believing…….

  10. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews’ children.

Immediately, she had compassion for a babe not belonging to her people, for a soul she didn’t know. I wonder if we, have the same compassion as we wander this region of Fort Worth. Do we look on each soul with compassion? They make be different, look different, but inside they’re all searching and longing for a void to be filled. Have compassion and let the Lord lead you to new friends today, in Jesus Name!

  11. LAY IT ALL DOWN AT THE FEET OF JESUS

Carried on but your heart was tired
Feared the worst and felt the fire
lay it all down, lay it all down
Filled with all those anxious thoughts
all your doubts became your god
lay it all down, lay it all down
at the feet of jesus, at the feet of jesus
    Lay it all down
    Lay it all down
    Lay it all down
    Lay it all down
    at the feet of Jesus
    at the feet of Jesus

  12. My faith will sore though facts are clearly stated
I have no fear for Jesus is the center of my life.
Lord releasing everything into your hands
I release to you in Faith for my family friends others in this world needing You so desperate. Lead us daily as we trust in You .
    In Jesus name…..

  13. “And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭2:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/1/exo.2.22.kjv

Let’s talk about being a stranger in a strange land right quick. I’m sure someone’s preached on this. When you look up that word stranger in the strongs it means
properly, a guest; by implication, a foreigner:–alien, sojourner, stranger.
    sojourner
a temporary inhabitant, a newcomer lacking inherited rights
of foreigners in Israel, though conceded rights
By implication it means implied or suggested. So even if this land is ours we could be seen as strangers in a strange land. I like to think that before we were born again we were considered the strangers in this strange land because now we’re known by the adversary because he’s lost another victim in this land that is strange, and though we have dominion and power over our enemy this is his stomping grounds until the presence of the Lord shows up. So from a distance we’re strangers, were outsiders, were followers of Christ and to some we might even be considered Jesus freaks, Holy rollers, tongue talkers, were strangers, stranger than any other people out there when really their the strange ones. The thing is from afar we’re strangers but the closer we get to anything human or demonic it’s not hard to tell if the Glory of God is over someone. The glory can be seen

And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

So walk in his righteousness and show His Glory.
Be known stranger in this strange land.

  14. Tenderness/Compassion/Heart/Changes

New birth placed through new harvest planted opens the eyes of the blind.
Miracle of curiosity gave testimony closed ears into tenderness, and how compassion conquers pride of race and station through the blood of Jesus builds strong tower for the water to flow through..

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    **Webster’s Definition of bulrush
: any of several large rushes or sedges growing in wetlands: such as

    ***Was Moses circumcised?

  15. 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

God had respect into them. They cried out for help, for relief. God heard them. God does not leave us in our situation.
Sadly if they had not suffered the four hundred years of bondage they probably would not have been so ready to go back home to their Promised Land.
For us to step into our promises we have to get uncomfortable sometimes in our situations so we are more willing and ready to listen to God. There is so much that’s been promised to the people of pofw. Are we listening and ready to take the steps towards our PROMISES???

  16. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

God has not forgotten his promise with you; when things get tough and you feel like God’s being silent, he is still there. No matter how desolate things may seem, God still knows what he promised.we can hold onto that promise God has given us and know it will come to pass. He hears your cries and knows your pain and has not forsaken you. We can take comfort and peace in knowing that alone.

  17. And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock. And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread. And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.
    Exodus 2:19‭-‬22 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.2.19-22.KJV

They didn’t know who Moses was and apparently didnt realize he was Hebrew. All the man knew is that he was greatful for how Moses helped his daughters! Now Moses has a new life, new opportunities!

    first the Kingdom
when life is scary….God is Good

  18. Verse 10 MSG “After the child was weaned, she presented him to Pharaoh’s daughter who adopted him as her son. She named him Moses (Pulled-Out), saying, “I pulled him out of the water.” God had a plan for Moses’ life and his mother recognized this from the time he was born. We too have a part in this plan and even though we ourselves may not see it, God does. God made a way for Moses to be pulled out of a situation that seemed impossible, not just from the Nile but throughout his life as we continue to read.

Psalm 37:5 MSG “Open up before God, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done:”.

  19. And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.
    Exodus 2:11‭-‬14 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.2.11-14.KJV

Moses fled in fear that he would have been put to death. Sure enough it got back to Pharoah about Moses killing an Egyptian, but Moses was only defending one of his own: one of the chosen. How are we today; do we stand up for each other. How do we protect the word of God? Am I willing and capable of laying down my life for God’s word. People will say they’re just words on paper, but that’s so not true. God’s word is more than just printed paper; I would say that it is the only written word that has life in it. Lord lead me today through your word and to live according to that which you have written for us.

  20. FIRST THE KINGDOM
THE BLESSING OF SERVING THE MAN OF GOD

16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.
17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.
18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?
19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.
20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

Moses grew up in the palace, never knew hunger, always had a place to sleep, eat and live. But, now he is running in fear to a strange land and the first opportunity he has he becomes a servant, whether it was his nature as a Jew or he learned from those serving his family in the palace we know not.

We see Moses heart nature here. He is running because he defended a Jew in Egypt and he runs right into another conflict of some shepherds driving away the Priests daughters.

Moses heart action provokes him to help the priests daughters. He is most likely unaware that the ladies are the daughters of a Priest. However GOD orders our steps if we will allow HIS nature to work through us.

THE BLESSING OF SERVING THE MAN OF GOD is that he was presented to the Priest, fed and married one of his daughters. Now that’s a deal for a man on the run. There is unique favor to us when we serve men of GOD. Regardless of our status, may we always have Grace and Peace to serve the man of GOD, protecting his family and tending to his resources. We will be BLESSED with provision and relationship.

  21. 23  And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

    God will save you.
When we seek after God, He will come and save you. Seek after His Kingdom first and He will bless you.

  22. iLove the Kingdom
9 And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

God always makes a way when there seems to be no way. He made a way for Moses to live and then be raised by his own mother. His mother even got paid to raise her own son. Wow, God is awesome! Lord, I pray you would find favor with POFW and give us this land. Let the blessings fall upon us as we do your will in this city reaching out for souls

  23. 2:25 AMP
GOD SAW THE SONS OF ISRAEL
AND GOD TOOK NOTICED(of them) AND WAS
CONCERNED ABOUT THEM ( knowing all, understanding all, remembering all)
Wow😲!!! Doesn’t surprise me but it comforts me and encourages me to keep on waiting on God .
God is on his way to rescue me from a certain situation.
    God understand all
    He knows every detail
    And he had the solution
But, when the son of men comes , will he find faith?
    Please forgive me Lord, 😌
    ——-
I will bless the Lord, at all times, and his
Praise shall continually be in my mouth.

  24. 9 And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.
10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.
11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

Women nursed their children much longer back then than they do today, and in this time Moses was taught who he was and who his God was.

  25. “And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭2:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No one is insignificant in the Kingdom of God. God will use anyone. This child may have been physically weak and unable to do anything for itself but God had a plan. The same can go for every new believer. I pray as you read this you would take time to pray for our new believers to be used in the Kingdom of God. I want to share a excerpt Excerpt From Be Delivered (Exodus) by Warren W. Wiersbe

“God used a baby’s tears to control the heart of a powerful princess, and He used Miriam’s words to arrange for the baby’s mother to raise the boy and get paid for it! The phrase as weak as a baby doesn’t apply in the kingdom of God, for when the Lord wants to accomplish a mighty work, He often starts by sending a baby. This was true when He sent Isaac, Joseph, Samuel, John the Baptist, and especially Jesus. God can use the weakest things to defeat the mightiest enemies (1 Cor. 1:25–29). A baby’s tears were God’s first weapons in His war against Egypt”

  26. Exodus 24:25 [Amp] And God heard their digging and groaning and [ earnestly] remember His covenant with Abraham , with Isaac, and with Jacob.
[25] God saw the Israelites and took knowledge all, understanding, remembering all ].
Ps. 139: 2] You know my downsitting and my uprising; You understanding my thought afar off. God was concerned about the sons of Israil. God knows thoughts and pains and he will never forsake you. Cry out for of region of Ft Worth to be saved. Seek the Kingdom First and you shall find him.

  27. The mother had such desperation to protect her son that she put him into the river and watched as he drifted off to the palace in Egypt if she kept the child the guards would of found him and kill him and Moses would not have existed

  28. “But when she could no longer hide him, she got a basket made of papyrus reeds and waterproofed it with tar and pitch. She put the baby in the basket and laid it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile River. The baby’s sister then stood at a distance, watching to see what would happen to him. Soon Pharaoh’s daughter came down to bathe in the river, and her attendants walked along the riverbank. When the princess saw the basket among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it for her. When the princess opened it, she saw the baby. The little boy was crying, and she felt sorry for him. “This must be one of the Hebrew children,” she said.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭2:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God had this beautifully planned for the deliverance of both Moses, and eventually for the people of Israel. He skillfully guided the parents of Moses, the currents of the Nile, and the heart of Pharaoh’s daughter to further His plan and purpose.

  29. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews’ children.

7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh’s daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.

9 And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.

10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

God rewarded the faith of Moses’ mother, both as she trusted Him in hiding Moses for three months, and also as she trusted God by setting Moses out on the river.

Because of her faith, she was not only able to raise her son in his early years, but she was also paid for it.

When we put our trust in the hands of God, He will make a way!

  30. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.

4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.

What trust Zipporah showed when she prepared the basket and placed Moses into that water. She did not know the outcomes, but she had faith and trust that God would not let her baby be killed.

Do we trust in that manner? How it is that we should just put our worries and cares into God’s basket, and give them to Him, trusting that He will make a way, open the door or do whatever is necessary. However, our human flesh sometimes likes to control what happens, so we give it to God, and then take it back from Him, hoping to handle it ourselves. We have to learn to just put it in the basket, and give it God!

  31. 23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them

  32. Exodus 2 – There’s a lot going on in this chapter today. A baby boy is born (Moses); he is put in a basket among the flags of the river; Pharaoh’s daughter finds him and eventually raises him as her own son; he kills an Egyptian; flees for his life to Midian where he marries a Midianite woman named Zipporah (Reuel’s daughter); and they have a son named Gershom.

As I said it before in the story of Joseph, I’ll say it again about the story of Moses, “You have to go through the PROCESS (trials, tests, faults, and failures) in order for the PLAN of God to be fulfilled in your life.”

  33. Mose’s real mom put him in a box and let him go. Then the Pharaoh daughter found Mose. And he became a man of Jesus and pharaoh did not like how Mose became a man of Jesus.

  34. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

It may feel like God doesn’t hear our cries, but he does. He knew that his people would be persecuted and become slaves in Egypt way before Joseph became second in command. The world and its systems can easily forget the goodness of God, just as Egypt’s new Pharaohs forgot their alliance with the Israelites. All the Egyptians could see was how much the Hebrews as a nation had grown. The only way they could control them was to enslave them. We was once their place of survival will be their place of enslavement. Sometimes we become so comfortable that we don’t realize God is preparing us to move to the next level.

  35. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

God remembered his covenan, he remembered his promise. We stand on God’s word and God will stand by his word. Being in his word everyday establishing that relationship with God and honoring it, in turn he will honor his promise. God set a place for us on a firm foundation his word will never fail and his word will never falter. He spoke the word and it was written. It was set in stone all of his promises to us. This is what we should lean on this is what we should put our faith in. They say life didnt come with an instruction manual but it did it is our choice whether we build it correctly.

  36. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews’ children.

7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh’s daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?

  38. “and God heard their loud cries. He did not forget the promise he had made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and because he knew what was happening to his people, he felt sorry for them.’(‭‭Exodus‬ ‭2:24-25‬ ‭CEV‬‬)

The Lord is always there for his children he’s so merciful to forgive us. He will always remember his promises to us. If he brings us to a situation he will make a way for us through it for his glory. For his love never fails us. (Psalms‬ ‭103:8‬ ‭CEV)“The Lord is merciful! He is kind and patient, and his love never fails.

  39. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.

    Let go and let God.

Sometimes this is one of the hardest tests and individual has to face. We are so used to having control and affect our outcomes based upon how much control we have. The truth is that God wants is to surrender all to him. Yes even our control or our lack there of and to trust him. To trust him with our must valuable and treasured things. Think of Abraham when God asked him to offer up his only son, isaac whom he loves. Think of the love of a mother. They say it’s one of the strongest things. When a child is born there is a bond of strong love between the mother and the child. Can you imagine having to trust God with your baby? Only 3 months old still needing so much protection, so much care, so much love…yet her saying God I trust you. I trust and believe in you that you love me And this child enough to protect it. I trust you to put him on the waters of the river where I dont have any control. That’s faith. Sometimes the works of faith is surrendering your will to God and trust Him with all the control of your situation.

Not only did she get the babe right back, I believe the payment she received for nursing the baby, which was her on baby, was an added blessing for her putting her trust in God. When we finally surrender all and trust God with our dearest he will return it back with added blessing. Proverbs 10:22 kind of blessings.

  40. 25He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.

We hear about blessings others have received from the past, and we wait for ours. But its time to act now, so we can receive our blessing Now as the evangelist mentioned.

  41. And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.
    Exodus 2:3 KJV

The strength of a mother. She knew that to keep her baby would be signing his death sentence but to God be the Glory that his life was spared.

  42. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept.

I encouraged a friend the other with this passage of scripture. They were upset with themselves, because they have allowed themselves to stray away from the church and God. They haven’t attended regularly, they have taken on several standards of the world rather than the church. And they were saying that they weren’t a part of the church anymore but they so badly wanted to be. And I reminded them of these scriptures. Moses lived an extremely long time in the “world” or in Egypt. He didn’t attend church. He wasn’t surrounded by those is of his same roots. But yet that did not mean that he was no longer able to return. He was raised by his mother but did not live in the right atompshere. Be in the world but not of it. Return to your roots when you are ready, we wait with open arms.
