Exodus 12

And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,

This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord‘s passover.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord‘s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.

32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

42 It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

43 And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

44 But every man’s servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.

48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

  1. 11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord‘s passover.

As I read this chapter, I find that the Lord spake unto Moses to be ready when they completed the lamb and eat it all while they girded their loins and having their shoes on their feet. It is amazing that God was telling them that this was going to be so bad this time they were going to be leaving and leaving fast. But what was ironic when Pharaoh told Moses to go, he threw in there a request, you can leave and get out, but will you bless me.

How often when things are going so bad for some and they realize that they could have prevented the entire situation, but fail to do so and then they beg for blessings above the sorrow and pain. The generation we are living in will be exactly like Pharaoh. When the muck hits the fan, they are going to be begging for the blessing of God and not the judgement. We have to continue to push until the world accepts the truth and gives in to the will of God or the rejection continues until its to late. We are that refuge when times are tough. We have to be full of love and not judgment. We have to be ready for the outpouring of God’s spirit in this last day. That’s why it’s important to seek first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness.

      Hallelujah 🙌 God is good.

  2. This was the First pass over ever . King pharoah was warned serevel times to let them put of Egypt and he didn’t do until God did this. Sometimes events have to happen for that pharoah in our lives to finally obey God.

  3. 29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

It’s always easier to follow God’s word the first time. As we see here it took pharoah and his people a great price to finally listen, but it’s too late.

  4. The blood on the houses will show me where you live, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. Then you won’t be bothered by the terrible disasters I will bring on Egypt.
    Exodus 12:13 CEV

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
    Ephesians 1:13 KJV

This is why we must obey acts 2;38, and John 3:3-5 and living a life of holiness, and obedience unto the LORD. We have been sealed with His promise to give us a hope of Salvation.

  5. 46 “In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.”
    ‭‭
    John 19:33
But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.

    John 19:36
Now these things happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of His bones will be broken.”

It was a type up shadow off what to come salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ .

  6. Verses 50-51 MSG “All the Israelites did exactly as God commanded Moses and Aaron. That very day God brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt, tribe by tribe.” Same verses NLT “So all the people of Israel followed all the Lord’s commands to Moses and Aaron. On that very day the Lord brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt like an army.” It says that “all” the people (Israelites) did/followed “all” the Lord’s commands to Moses and Aaron. All the people (unified) body as a whole, not just some. They followed all the commands, not just some. Doing or following His commandments/commands is key to finding your way out of your Egypt (bondage). In doing so, you become a soldier in the army of the Lord.

  7. 8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord‘s passover.

I don’t claim to know why these instructions we made by God but the journey they were about to embark on needed a lot of energy to cross that much territory in a short distance. Meat has components that feed nutrition to the body that provides energy, and bread (as most know ) contains yeast which slows us down. It is possible that God knew what they would endure and the Passover meal was to provide the right nutrition for their bodies. Instructing them to not leavened bread so they would not be sluggish the following day.

God knows every step we are going to take before we take it, he knows what is ahead of us and what is needed for the journey. we must learn to be sensitive to God each day to be able to lean on his understanding. Personally I cannot come the number of times I’ve made a decision that I felt God was telling me and it ended up paying off. Each day we should seek the counsel of the most high God to find what instructions wait for us

  8. So all the people of Israel followed all the Lord ’s commands to Moses and Aaron. On that very day the Lord brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt like an army.

  9. 31. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.

The time finally came for them to rise up and get out of Egypt, and it is time for the Church to rise up and separate ourselves from the things of this world and live the life God has called us to.

    Rise up, be counted
It’s time to take your place
    The name of Jesus
    Is worthy to be praised
    Our God is ready
Our King is soon to come
    Satan’s defeated
    The battle’s already won
It’s time to let the Church

    Rise up, take your place
    Declare the victory
Of the Lord in this place
    Rise up, show your strength
Raise up a banner of praise
    Let the Church rise

    No time to lose
    No time to waste
    The time is now
    Don’t hesitate

Rise up, rise up, rise up…

  10. Exodus 11:5-6 [Amp] Your lamb or kid shall be without blemish, a male of the first year ; you shall take it from the sheep on the goats.
[6] And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall [ each] kill [ his] lamb in the evening. They shall take the blood and put it on the two side posts and on the little [ above the door [ space] of the houses in which they shall eat
    [ the Passover lamb] .
Matt 26:28] For this is My blood of the new covenant, which [ ratifies] and agreement and] is being poured out for many for the forgivess of sins. The blood of the Lamb was a sign upon the door post so that there would be no plague shall destory you or your land . Thank you Jesus for the blood. Kingdom First.

  11. 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

When you get to your promise, don’t sit back and think you’ve arrived. When you think you’re done, it’s only the beginning of a new season. Keep a passion for serving the Lord and always give Him glory for the great things He has done!

  12. “And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s passover.”

Before we take on our day we have to gird our loins with the truth, put on our feet the preparation of the Gospel and take the sword in our hand.
I see some similarities with the Passover and our everyday lives. Everyday we should be a moses delivering someone or many out of Egypt. The blood applied over the doorpost is now the blood applied over our lives. We’re covered by the blood of Jesus below my scripture reference is what is really applied or should be applied to us daily. During the time of the scriptures posted above is the first example of what we read about in Ephesians.

“Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:14-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/1/eph.6.14-17.kjv

The blood of Jesus is a representation of our sins being washed away but it’s also a protection from every devil out there. We can speak the Lords name and demons tremble at his name. I wanna leave whoever’s reading this with the scriptures of the last supper, just to show that He was the lamb that was slain that is to be applied over the doorpost of our temples.

“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:26-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/1/mat.26.26-28.kjv

We have to apply the blood to our minds everyday allow God to overflow us and we can go to the Lost world and save everyone of those that want a chance of true salvation.

  13. 49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

There were so many commandments in this particular passage. So many details to follow and abide by. I find in interesting and a little funny the difference in the attitude of the children of Israel. When Moses first arrived back in Egypt they were complaining and murmuring against him. When he first came Pharaoh got upset and gave them a heavier workload. He told them they had to make their own bricks. They spoke out against Moses and said just to stop rather than torture them. Yet when Moses and Aaron give these very strict, very precise instructions, they all follow it to the “T”. Interesting to me because the large difference from before. Something changed not only through the eyes of Pharaoh but also in the eyes of the Children of Israel. They had gained a respect for Moses and Aaron. Not only respect but a submission and obedience.

  14. The unleavened bread is like a bread that can’t rise. It’s not puffed up Or proud. It it is thin and humble. The Israelites has to intentionally do exactly what they were told. There was no place for pride. If they became prideful and did what they wanted then they could have been cut off from the group.

    Obedience is better than sacrifice.

  15. And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
    Exodus 12:22‭-‬23 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.12.22-23.KJV

God gave the Children on Isreal the opportunity to pick the lamb, to borrow the Jewlery, to sacrifice the lamb and to get their unleavened bread prepared, but once the Children started dying the Egyptions rushed them out! It’s like when we are washed in the blood, God sees that and he knows we are clean, and he knows we belong to him!

    First the Kingdom
Even in the midst of death….God is Good!

  16. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

DEATH!!! That was the last plague! For the people of Israel to be saved from death they had to APPLY the blood of a lamb over their house. It was THE BLOOD that kept them safe. In the same manner IT IS STILL THE BLOOD of OUR LAMB JESUS CHRIST that keep us saved!!! How do we apply the BLOOD through BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME and the receiving of the gift of the HOLY GHOST for the remission of all our sins (death). I am thankful for His Blood!! His precious Blood that washes all my sins away!!!

  17. 29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

And this will be what happens to all this that did not accept the blood of the lamb, they have a secured death sentence over them with no hope after the Lord has raptured his church.

So come now, while there is time.

  18. iLove the Kingdom
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

Did y’all notice that one little phrase in this scripture? It was God’s desire to poor out judgement upon all the false gods in Egypt. He wanted to make sure that Egypt understood all their gods were fake and there was only one God. Every god that Egypt adored was defeated… Even the thought that Pharaoh was god was defeated.

    We serve a mighty!

  19. “Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron during the night. “Get out!” he ordered. “Leave my people—and take the rest of the Israelites with you! Go and worship the Lord as you have requested. Take your flocks and herds, as you said, and be gone. Go, but bless me as you leave.” All the Egyptians urged the people of Israel to get out of the land as quickly as possible, for they thought, “We will all die!” The Israelites took their bread dough before yeast was added. They wrapped their kneading boards in their cloaks and carried them on their shoulders. And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked for clothing and articles of silver and gold. The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:31-36‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sometimes God arranges circumstances to where obedience is simply made necessary, even if we would not normally choose it. For example, God may want a us to give up friends that bring a bad influence and we find that our friends leave us first.

Pharaohs firstborn had to die because of his disobedience . Lord I always want to be obedient .

  20. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
    Exodus 12:7-11

The idea behind eating it all was that you had to take it all then, and not store up some of the rescue for later. It was for right then, right now, and you had to receive all of it without thinking you could take a bit then and come back to it later if you pleased. We take all of Jesus, not just the parts that please us.
The Passover lamb had to be eaten in faith, trusting that the deliverance promised to Israel was present, and that they would walk in that deliverance immediately.

The Passover was the LORD’s in the sense that He provided it.
As a rescue, to deliver Israel from the plague of the firstborn.
As an institution, to remember God’s rescue and deliverance for Israel through every generation.
As a powerful drama, acting out the perfect sacrifice and rescue Jesus would later provide.

Paul made it perfectly clear: For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us (1 Corinthians 5:7). John the Baptist drew on a similar image when he said of Jesus, Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29) It seems that Jesus was actually crucified on Passover (John 19:14). We see Jesus in the Passover.

.Jesus lived with and became bonded to the human family before He was sacrificed for US.

. The sacrifice of Jesus has to be appropriate to each home, not simply on a national or community basis.

. Jesus the Passover Lamb was spotless perfectly so, not stained by any sin, any moral or spiritual imperfection.

    · It was only the blood of Jesus, His actual poured out life that atoned for sin.

    · In His death Jesus was touched with fire, the fire of God’s judgment and wrath.

    · In His death Jesus received the bitter cup of God’s judgment.

    · The work of Jesus has to be received fully, with none left in reserve.

    · The Passover work of Jesus for His people is the dawn and prelude to OUR freedom.

  21. Exodus 12

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,

2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

  22. 12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

One key thing in this scripture is the fact that applied the blood on the entrance of the doorpost. Nothing went in or out of that house without passing by the blood on the door posts.

Today we apply the blood of Jesus at our own homes, but we dont want to apply the blood just on the entrance of our house. Because unlike back in those days, there are many entrances into our homes. Our TVs, computers, smartphones are all now entrances into our home. Messages and images can get through into your house by these means without ever going through the front door.

So remember to apply the blood on every entrance of your home. Because what can through on your electro ice devices can be worse than what comes through your front door. Keep your mind and heart guarded by applying the blood on these things as well!

  23. 14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Some of the toughest times establish memorial events in our life. But it’s the tough times that mold us into who we are today. Strengthen us to endure the next trial, cause there’s always another level to conquer.

Ecc 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

  24. In Exodus Chapter 12 verses 1-4
So in these verses they are talking about Aaron and Moses in Egypt with Months and Months and they have a congregation and they lambs for each house one for a neighbor, and one for the house

  25. 31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.

32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

    “And bless me also.”

This shows that now Pharaoh knew that Lord was real and the the Lord was greater than he.

But before Pharaoh would believe, he had to be broken. His circumstances left him no other option, it was surrender or death.

Often times God is asking us to surrender ourselves to Him, but when our stubborn human nature refuses; He has to place us in a position to be broken, where our only option is to surrender to His great love.

If Pharoah would have listened the first time, look at all the plagues he could have avoided.

If we would simply obey the first time, there are a lot of hardships we could avoid.

  26. Exodus 12
12-13 “I will go through the land of Egypt on this night and strike down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, whether human or animal, and bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am God. The blood will serve as a sign on the houses where you live. When I see the blood I will pass over you—no disaster will touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.

    Nothing But The Blood
    We have everything we need……….

Justification Redemption Forgiveness Healing Promises Fellowship Deliverance Life

So, God instructed them to take the blood of a lamb and paint it on their doorposts. They did, and the angel of death passed them by. Was it really the blood of a lamb that stopped them from being killed? No! It was the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) who was slain from the foundation of the world

Revelation 13:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. “ (Romans 5:9)

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7)

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (I John 1:7)

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Revelation 12:11)

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

“…that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:12-13)

“For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.” (Leviticus 17:11)

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)

When I see the blood I will pass I will pass over you….
All because of the blood . Thank God for His cleansing saving blood the name of Jesus is over our lives!

  27. Exodus 12:13 (NLT), “But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

The only way to be saved from eternal death is to have the BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST applied to our lives.

  28. 41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.
42 It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

Your journey is not over. When we seek after His Kingdom, we are brought to many different places. Some where there is blessing and some where there is tests and trials. But no matter wherw you find yourself, God is in control. Your journey is not yet over and you are not dead but alive.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

  29. 35 And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold. 36 The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!

The people of Israel received Goshen as they were leaving. They received the Egyptians wealth along the way. God blesses when you least expect it.

  30. 23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

God will always there for us making a way when their seems no way. I believe that the enslavement that the Israelites endured is like unto the bondage that sin puts on our lives. When sin separates us from God, he breaks that chain with his blood. Repentance is the first strep, like how the Israelites had to burn the flesh of the lamb before consuming it. Afterward, we have the apply the blood of Jesus to our lives declaring to all whom we serve. The blood upon their doorpost told all that when death comes, God will preserve life. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

  31. 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

There’s power in the act of applying the blood to your life. The blood applied to the door post caused the death angel to pass by and not visit the home of the Israelite – it was a sign to them that they belonged to God.

The blood applied to our lives is a sign to God that we are his, and a sign to others that we have been purchased by HIS blood, washed, made new, regenerated a new creature. This blood covers us from past sin and protects us, giving us a power to call upon in time of need.

Being baptized in the name, applying the blood of Jesus to our lives notifies the enemy that we are no longer a child of this world, but have been born into the Kingdom, and now are of a different world.

  32. Why put the blood on the doorposts and not just the lintel? The lintel is the piece that goes above the door and holds the doorposts together. The three of these create a seal for the door on the two sides and top. Most of the construction in this time was done with mud bricks – what the Israelites were being forced to create. With a house made of mud bricks, there had to be extra support around the door. The doorposts were also a sign of significance to the family within. These posts were also where the family name and family members were inscribed. For example, my doorposts would have Linton, Bryan, Tammy, Jaci and Tiffany.

I believe by applying the blood to the doorposts covered the people’s names inscribed thereon.

  33. FIRST THE KINGDOM
APPLY THE BLOOD TO BE SAVED (BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME)

The door is considered the entrance of or to a place. In this reference the door represents a household. Therefore the decision of one man can affect the entire household. It is very important and it really does matter who lives in our house. If someone was disconnected or disinterested there could be grave danger to innocent loved ones.

The LORD gave the command to sacrifice a lamb and basically cover the door frame or entrance with the blood of that lamb which will be called “The Passover”. The death angel will Pass OVER the house where the blood is applied.

When we connect this BIBLICAL principle to the modern day church. It looks like this.

We are not forgiven (cleansed by the blood of Jesus) until we, after hearing the gospel, repent of our sins, confess His name before men and are baptized (in water) in His name JESUS. At that point, we are raised up to a new life having been cleansed by the blood of Jesus.

    Note Romans 6:1-5

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace might increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection,

1Peter 3:21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Like the children of Israel out of Egypt we are thrust into a NEW LIFE in Christ JESUS through HIS Blood that is applied to remit our sins at Baptism in JESUS name.

    JESUS said:
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

    The Disciples demonstrated:
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    The Apostles clarified:
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Lets tell all of our Family and Friends about the Blood on the doorpost of their lives.

  34. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.
32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

How ironic that Pharaoh asks to be blessed. All the plagues of the Lord had to have made him believe that the God of the Hebrews was a mighty God. Sadly his respect or fear of God doesn’t cause him to let them go in peace….they lose their lives in the end by coming to destroy God’s people.

  35. “It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The children of Israel were delivered in the night hour. In our dark situations there’s still hope. Day or night God is moving and fighting for us. And when God makes a way of escape let it always be a remembrance of our All Powerful and Almighty God. That all future generations will know Jesus.

  36. 23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

  37. So all the people of Israel followed all the Lord ’s commands to Moses and Aaron. On that very day the Lord brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt like an army.
    Exodus 12:50‭-‬51 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/exo.12.50-51.NLT

Obedience. They were able to get their Deliverance because of obedience. And noticed that with their obedience and submission they were not left down like dogs. God lead them out of Egypt like an army marching in victory. Our obedience to God allows him to lift us up in victory, Overcoming the burdens traps and snares of this life.

  39. cts 12:
God spoke to me on this story and this powerfull animal the
Elephant, i will use an ilustration

When I was a kid I loved circuses, and what I liked most about circuses were animals. Me too, the elephant caught my attention.

During the performance, the huge beast made a display of weight, size and enormous strength … but after his performance and until a while before returning to the stage, the elephant was held only by a chain that imprisoned one of its legs to a Small stake stuck in the ground.

However, the stake was only a tiny piece of wood just buried a few centimeters in the ground. And although the chain was thick and powerful, it seemed obvious to me that this animal capable of plucking a tree of rennet with its own strength, could easily tear out the stake and run away.

The mystery is evident: – What keeps it then? Why don’t you run away?

When I was five or six years old, I still trusted the wisdom of the greats. I then asked a teacher, a father, or an uncle about the mystery of the elephant. Someone explained to me that the elephant did not escape because he was trained. I then asked the obvious question: -If you are trained … Why do you chain it ?:

“The circus elephant does not escape because he has been tied to a similar stake since he was very young.”

I closed my eyes and imagined the newborn subject to the stake.

I am sure that at that moment the little elephant pushed, pulled and sweated trying to let go. And despite all his effort, he couldn’t let go.

The stake was certainly very strong for him. He would swear that he fell asleep exhausted and that the next day he tried again, and also the other and the one he followed …

Until one day, a terrible day for its history, the animal accepted its impotence and resigned itself to its destiny. This huge and powerful elephant does not escape because he BELIEVES THAT HE CANNOT ESCAPE.

He has a record and memory of his helplessness, of that helplessness that is felt shortly after birth. And the worst part is that this record was never seriously questioned again.

WE LOOK AT SOME CHAINS THAT APPEAR MAN.

    1. The chain of fear.

Proverbs 29:25 The fear of man will bond: But he who trusts in Jehovah will be raised.

    a.Fear is torture.

b.The fear prevents you from achieving or achieving anything of great value.

    C. Fear destroys lives.

  40. 29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

Made me think of the Lords coming. We need to be ready!

  41. The requirements of the table

48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

I grew up that you didn’t wear a hat to the table. You were dressed and fully ready for the day before you came to the table. You had manners and were respectful or you didn’t get to eat. The same thing applies to the Kindgom of God. You have to separate yourself from the world (circumcised) to eat at Hids table. Anyone can join but you must be aware of the requirements. So many “Christians” want to figure out a way to sneak up to the table their own way but it won’t work. God has given the requirements and no one can change that. Let’s stop trying to figure out a way around the Bible and just submit to it so that we can live and eat at the Fathers table.

  42. 31 Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel, and go, serve the Lord as you have said. Also take your flocks and your heards, as you have said, and be gone, and bless me also. Pharaoh asked to be blessed also. You can’t keep fighting against God, the out come will always be the same . You will be defeated.

  43. Exodus 12:49-51 KJV
[49] One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
[50] Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
51] And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

    *Matthew 24:2 KJV
[2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
    Matthew 24:40 KJV
[40] Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

    Isaiah 42:3 KJV
[3] A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

    Isaiah 42:9 KJV
[9] Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

  44. 19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

The orders of God are important to follow all the way through. You can’t expect the results God has promised when you only do half of what he is commanding. It is important to pay close attention to what God is saying. Missing out on directions from God, can cause you to fall into trouble. It is our responsibility to take the word of God and stand firm on it. Not swaying away from it, but walking and living in it.

  45. 26 And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’ 27 then tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’” Then the people bowed down and worshiped.

“When your children ask you…” Children often ask many questions and some we may not know the answer to. As a parent sometimes it is so easy to say well “I’m not sure” and more on. Yet, when we are ask about God and the Word of God it is vitally important for us to answer with confidence. It is equally important for us to teach them the ways of the Kingdom in a manner that they can understand it and cherish it. The way we live for God in front of them and our attitude towards God will make a lasting impression on their lives. Let us be careful to love God out loud, be humble, and love people the way that God does.

  46. 47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

    Unity

When we come to repentance and are baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, we circumcise our flesh, and submit to His will. Those wanting to be saved with us, do the same.

  47. 11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord‘s passover.

Being ready to bust a move. When its time to go its time to go. This is applied to so many things. I tought about our morning routine at home. We like to sleep so we strap shoes on our feet throw our backpacks on and are ready to bust a move as we hustle to get out the door. But girding our loans, we put our armor on before we walk out the door we pray we worship amongst the hustle because temptation is at every turn. We make ourselves ready for anything. Its a battle every day and we have to make ourselves ready as the army of Israel to fight those battles.

  48. 35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

Moses did what Jesus told him, and it saved his people.

    Bella

  49. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord‘s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Tell it to the young ones. It was the Lord’s command to tell the younger generations what God has done for them. We are not the exception, we all have stories we can share of real facts that the Lord has done over our lives.

We need to remember that revelation says and they overcame by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of their Testimony…

  50. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s passover.
    Exodus 12:11 KJV

We should always be ready. Be ready to be a witness, be ready to work for God, be ready to pray, be ready to praise, and also be ready to write the daily blog — Sorry Pastor for being late on posting these past few weeks, I will do better.

  51. “Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭12:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I thought this passage was catching. When the Israelites were instructed to put blood on the entry way of their door they had to put it on top and both sides in order to be fully protected. Some of us are trying to walk around with protection above us and nothing on either side of us. This battle is not meant to be fought alone, find a partner and start having each others back.
