Exodus 15

Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.

13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.

15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.

17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.

18 The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.

19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

27 And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

There is no need to fear what God has set you out to go do. He wont give you something you cant handle.

  3. 26 If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you. THANK YOU JESUS, YOU ARE MIGHTY, YOU ARE HOLY.

  4. Talk about a “praise break” chapter, starting with verse 1 MSG “Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to God, giving voice together, I’m singing my heart out to God—what a victory! He pitched horse and rider into the sea.”

    PRAISE BREAK:
Oh victory in Jesus (victory in Jesus), my Savior (my Savior) forever (forever)
He sought me and He bought me with His redeeming blood (bought me with His blood)
He loved me ‘ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

Verse 2 MSG “God is my strength, God is my song, and, yes! God is my salvation. This is the kind of God I have and I’m telling the world! This is the God of my father—I’m spreading the news far and wide!”

    PRAISE BREAK:
Tell the world that, tell the world that
Tell the world that he died for them
Tell the world that he lives again

Verse 11 MSG “Who compares with you among gods, O God? Who compares with you in power, in holy majesty, In awesome praises, wonder-working God?”

    PRAISE BREAK:
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb

Verse 26 MSG “That’s the place where God set up rules and procedures; that’s where he started testing them. God said, “If you listen, listen obediently to how God tells you to live in his presence, obeying his commandments and keeping all his laws, then I won’t strike you with all the diseases that I inflicted on the Egyptians; I am God your healer.”

    PRAISE BREAK:
    I believe You’re my healer
I believe You are all I need
    Oh, I believe

  5. 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

The people murmured against Moses and it was to be there ruin, their attitude from the very start was seemingly set on Grim. Any time they faced a challenge they felt that God had betrayed them or Moses was leading them the wrong path. they were stuck on their feelings constantly. Just a few moments prior they will rejoice and how God had delivered them and now they’re murmuring against the man of God because things have gotten tough. Oh Moses head to do who is cry out to the Lord for his bitter situation to be turned sweet. how often times our situations can be turned around with just the right attitude and faith in God. Israelites had been beaten into bondage so much that they felt better off there then out there free to do whatever they pleased… Because they lack the faith to see the vision God was sending them to. we can avoid many heartaches and trouble by just knowing that God has our best interest at heart and as always directing us in the right path. He is ready at any moment to turn our bitter situation into a sweet one

  6. He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

  7. This same Israel that is singing Praises unto God is the same Israel that was cussing and yelling at Moises when they came to the shores of the Red Sea saying it would of been better to stay in the slavery of Egypt than to die in the middle of the wilderness. It goes to show that when men thinks is too late is when God is saying HOLD ON SISTERS AND BROTHERS AND WATCH HOW I CHANGE THINGS TO YOUR FAVOR!!!!! Have FAITH in GOD and NEVER lose HOPE for our GOD IS GREAT AND MIGHTY IN BATTLE!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! What is your Red Sea? No matter how big may be your problem GOD IS BIGGER!!!

  8. 20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
21 And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

The first example given to us in our Bibles that we should dance before the Lord. To thank him for the victory and what He has helped us to overcome.

If we do what is right, follow the commandments, follow His rules he will not put on us the diseases he put on Egypt. It’s simple for the most part. Honor Him, so he can help you life.

  9. 2. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

    11. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

    18. The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.

The Lord is my light and salvation
    Whom shall I fear
Of whom shall I be afraid
I will wait on You, I will wait on You
I will trust in You, I will trust in You

We set our hope on You
We set our hope on Your love
We set our hope on the One
    Who is the Everlasting God
    You are the Everlasting God
    You are the Everlasting

I will remain confident in this
I will see the goodness of the Lord

  10. 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Obedience equals promised protection. He is Jehovah Jireh and we should never worry or fear if we are following obediently to His Word.

  11. So Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. It was there at Marah that the Lord set before them the following decree as a standard to test their faithfulness to him. He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

Jehovah Rapha, God my Healer. God has just done a Mighty work and then He turns around and with such sweetness and love He lets them know the life they can enjoy if they follow His decrees and commandments. I always love reading and experiencing for myself the many facets and faces of my God.
But this also reminds me of when mom would tell you something to keep you safe, but it feels like a rule so you don’t want to follow it all the way. But when bad things happen you understand the rule was there to protect you, not restrict you.

  12. 2. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

So they sang for joy and exalted Him.
This was a wonderful time until they got thirsty…then murmered against Moses. Lord, let us not lose our faith even during hard times, let us maintain. positive attitudes and fully trust in you.

  13. Exodus 15:2 [Amp] The Lord is my Stength and My song, and he has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God , and I will exalt Him. He his mercy and loving- kindness have redeemed; You have guided them in Your holy habitation.
Phippians 4:13 [Amp] I can do all things through Christ who stengthens me.
Psalms 34:3 [Amp] Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.
Ps 34:8 [Amp] Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. Thank you Mighty God for all you do.

  14. And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord , for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
    Exodus 15:20‭-‬21 KJV

Mariam knew that it was only by the hand of God that they were delivered from the hand of Pharoh, and they were happy and free and they were rejoicing, and singing praises unto God!

So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. So that praise that they were singing, didnt last long , it quit at the first sign of new trouble, here comes the murmuring and if you just witnessed with your own eyes the power of God, why would you question, What should we drink? God solved that problem too! They are constantly under estimating God and why? because they arent used to living, they are used to the Egyptians giving them water and food, and so now it’s what shall we do, because they arent used to thinking for themselves, they were allowed to go home at the end of the work day, and they were so under bondage and pharoh knew they wasnt going to run! And now they are free, but still in bondage!

  15. Exodus 15
1-8 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to God, giving voice together,

I’m singing my heart out to God—what a victory!
He pitched horse and rider into the sea.
God is my strength, God is my song,
and, yes! God is my salvation.
This is the kind of God I have
    and I’m telling the world!
This is the God of my father—
I’m spreading the news far and wide!
    God is a fighter,

I can hear my dad singing this song among many others. ….. morning after morning no matter what the battle was he always had a song in his heart.
God give me songs of victory God gill us up with words of admiration of your wondrous works!!!

    Songs of victory!
    Victory yes victory
Hallelujah I am free Jesus gives me
    Victory

    Hallelujah, what a thought!
    Jesus full salvation brought,
    Victory, victory;
Let the pow’rs of sin assail,
    Heaven’s grace can never fail,
    Victory, victory.
    Refrain:
    Victory, yes, victory.
    Hallelujah! I am free,
    Jesus gives me victory;
    Glory, glory! hallelujah!
He is all in all to me.
I am trusting in the Lord,
I am standing on His Word,
    Victory, victory;
I have peace and joy within,
Since my life is free from sin,
    Victory, victory.
    Shout your freedom everywhere,
    His eternal peace declare,
    Victory, victory,
Let us sing it here below,
In the face of every foe,
    Victory, victory.
We will sing it on that shore,
When this fleeting life is o’er,
    Victory, victory;
Sing it here, ye ransomed throng,
    Start the everlasting song:
    Victory, victory.

  16. God now begins the testing.
Victory has come . The Israelites have rejoiced now will they continue to remember what God has done?

26 That’s the place where God set up rules and procedures; that’s where he started testing them.

God said, “If you listen, listen obediently to how God tells you to live in his presence, obeying his commandments and keeping all his laws, then I won’t strike you with all the diseases that I inflicted on the Egyptians; I am God your healer.”

I also pray today that I thoughts will continue on the victorious battles that You God have seen me through . To know that there is nothing too big or too small .

  17. Exo 15:9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

    😳👀👁🙄👁‍🗨👀

I spy with my little eye!
Wow, that is a whole lotta “I will’s”. The enemy is full of pride y’all. That’s why it’s dangerous to go out in a spirit of pride against God’s people. The thing Christian folks should say is, “He has” not “I will”. He has already won the victory, He has already redeemed me, By his stripes, He already healed me. He has already died for me, He has already forgiven me.

James 4:15 “For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”

  18. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    KINGDOM RESPONSE TO VICTORY

1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Living in the Favor and Blessings of GOD it is convenient to slip into the granted mentality rather than the gratitude mentality. As GOD Blesses we become more expectant of those Blessings and for some, the gratitude becomes less urgent.

As Kingdom seeking believers we must maintain a high level of gratitude for the Blessings, Favor and Deliverances of our Lord JESUS.

Sing unto the LORD! Praise and Worship is so much more than the latest songs of praise and worship with the song set and worship atmosphere. A song unto the LORD is a Thanks offering and testimony of all the wonderful things JESUS has done for us.

May the hand of the LORD JESUS guide us and direct us to the place of perpetual Praise and Worship to JESUS.

HE is our King our deliver, our defence, our redeemer, our salvation, our protector, our provider and all that we will ever need. Its ALL in HIM.

  19. 1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

When we let God be our strength, He will also become our song. Because it His strength that will never let us down, it is His strength that gives us joy.

It also says “He is become my salvation” they realized that no one could save themselves but God must become our salvation! And that alone is enough to praise Him for the rest of our lives!

“And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭40:3‬ ‭KJV‬

  20. 20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

When you are a leader, all eyes are on you. When you worship, all eyes are on you. When you don’t worship, all eyes are on you. Some leaders do not know they extent of their influence, it’s irrelevant. Pride brings even the strongest down.

So just lead, like if no one was watching.

  21. Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord , and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord , for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. Who is like unto thee, O Lord , among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? The Lord shall reign for ever and ever. When in doubt, PRASIE HIM. Although their response was correct, we should praise Him in everything we do. After leaving prayer this morning I felt like praising and now that I’m reading this I just wanna shout HALLELUJAH!!

  23. 11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

There is no god that can compare to our God.
He is able to do more than we can ask or think and it is our reasonable service to serve him in holiness and obedience.

  24. Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song to the Lord, and spake, saying I will sing to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he has become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:1,2

Israel had the God of the Impossible Situation on their side!

Psalm 105:11,12 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left. Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

    Trust your God!!

Psalm 99:5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

  25. 1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

When we let God be our strength, He will also be our song. We will sing because of the victory won by the great strength of the LORD. We will have a singing joy in our life because His strength will not let us down.

  26. 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

I have found that God is everything all the time. Scripture states that he is the water when you drink, you will never thirst again. As for the children of Israel, it did not take them long to start murmuring and complaining to Moses even after seeing the great power of God at the Red Sea. When I have seen people literally be blessed by God beyond measure and they quickly complain because it was how they wanted it or expected it. Sometimes we have to move pass our limitations and depend solely on the power of God.

God will already have things in your walk with him prepared for your adversity and circumstances. He already had the tree planted ahead of time, so that when the children of Israel got to Marah they would have it to sweeten the bitter water. They thought that they could not have something to take their thirst away. But as Moses stood before God and petitioned, God have the answer of the tree.

How many times do we complain in church and very often our pastor petitions God for our needs or our complaints? We have to learn that with God, we have to seek him first and all his righteousness, then our spirit will be right and we will align with the man of God and God while we are working for the kingdom. Don’t let your self be indulged by the world’s stipulations and limitations, God is greater than any boundary. He is the almighty.

  27. I tried very hard this morning to be holy and dig something new from this chapter but kept getting distracted by one verse. A thought or impression would sneak to the surface only to be over-ridden and distract me by this one verse.

20 Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine, and all the women followed her with tambourines, dancing. MSG

Poor Sis Watts. She just loves to hear people play the tambourine, but no one plays them anymore. It is a lost talent. I think we should purchase a batch of them and pass them out from the welcome desk. Make them gifts to all who come. Can you hear it?

Psalm 100:1 A Psalm of Thanksgiving. Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!

Of course, this will be Sis Watts verse…
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

  28. A song of redemption – Moses led the way in creating a song from his heart based on what the Israelites had just come through.

Singing sets the soul free ….. it brings comfort, peace and much joy to the heart.

There are many times when I feel frustrations rise within, that I just start humming a tune, and it brings a calmness to my inner most being.

    13 “You in Your lovingkindness and goodness have led the people whom You have redeemed;
In Your strength You have guided them with care to Your holy habitation.

A song of praise, if we will allow it, will lead us to that place of holy habitation the secret place of the most high, the most holy of holies because it is through song that we communicate our inner most thoughts/desires to our create. To some it may seem foolish, but that is how songs are written, from experiences, from pains, from hurts, and from victories.

Find a way to make a song to the Lord each about the day, and sing it with all your heart (even if you must use a tamborine) just find a way to give God praise each day for the day, even if the day has been challenging. Lead in praise and we will find ourselves praising our way to new levels in the Spirit.

  29. 23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

Marah in Hebrew literally means “bitter” so it’s obvious to me the waters there would be bitter as well. How quickly the people are to begin murmuring when they were thirsty and not able to drink of its waters. The whole beginning of this chapter is Moses, Miriam and the people singing, dancing and playing instruments just rejoicing that God had brought them out of Egypt. God inflicted Egypt with 9 plagues, protected Israel through it all, even gave them favor with the Egyptians to give gold trinkets and jewelry to take with them. Then, he parted the Red Sea when their seemed no other way, then drowned Pharaoh along with his army and chariots in the bottom of the Sea protecting and defeating them.

After Moses looks to God for guidance after their murmuring, He makes it clear to them that if the people follow after Him and keeps his commands and statutes that he will not inflict the plagues he did to Egypt. God will keep us from the diseases that have plagued and heal us. When temptations arise to murmur and complain about our current misfortunes, we would do well to remember what God has brought us out from.

  30. 18 The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.

At times we like to think we are being “picked on”, that life isn’t how you thought it would be right now, and even start questioning God. But no matter the life circumstance, the trial, or the miracle. The Lord shall reign for ever and ever!

So no matter what you are currently facing, rather its the miracle you’ve been waiting for or the trial you can’t wait to end, Praise the Lord.

  31. Exodus 15:26 (AMP), “Saying, If you will diligently listen and pay attention to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep (foremost in your thought and actively obey) all His precepts and statutes, then I will not put on you any of these diseases which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am the LORD who heals you.”

All the LORD wanted His children to do then and now is listen and pay attention to His voice (we do that through Prayer, Reading His Word, and listening to the Preacher Preach), do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commands and Obey His statutes (His laws – His Word).

Listen To The Voice Of GOD
    Pray
    Read His Word
    Listen To The Preacher Preach
Do What Is Right In The Lord’s Eyes
    Listen To His Commands
    Obey His Word

  32. 2 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

Yes, God is my strength, my provider, my healer, etc. Speak positively, and you’ll always have your victory.

  33. This chapter occupies a very important place – both pointing out the new position to which the children of Israel were now taken and being the expression of the feelings – engendered in them, undoubtedly, by the Holy Spirit – that was appropriate to it. It is really a song of redemption; and, at the same time, it is prophetic in its character, encompassing as it does, God’s purposes regarding Israel until the millennium – when “Jehovah will reign forever and ever.” (Exodus 15:18) It has, therefore, a double character, applying it first to Israel, and then also, to the extent that the passage of the Red Sea was preminently typical in character, to the position of the believer. With this in mind, your interpretation will be more easily understood.

    O Jehovah, has broken the enemy. And with the greatness of your power you have brought down those who rose up against you. You sent your anger; He consumed them like leaf litter. To the breath of your breath the waters piled up; the currents gathered like in a pile; The deeps were congealed in the sea. The enemy said: I will chase, I will catch, I will distribute spoils; My soul will be satisfied with them; I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them. You blew with your wind; the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters. Who like you, oh Jehovah, among the gods? Who like you, magnificent in holiness, Terrible in wonderful feats, maker of wonders? You extended your right hand; The earth swallowed them. You led this people you redeemed in your mercy; You took it with your power to your holy abode. The peoples will hear it and tremble;

The land of the Philistines will take pain. Then Edom’s leaders will be disturbed; Trembling will be overwhelmed by the brave of Moab; all the inhabitants of Canaan will be cowering. Fall on them trembling and fright; to the greatness of your arm silence like a stone; Until your people have passed, O Jehovah, Until this people have passed that you rescued. You will introduce them and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance, in the place of your dwelling, which you have prepared, O Jehovah, in the sanctuary that your hands, O Jehovah, have affirmed. Jehovah will reign forever and ever. For Pharaoh came riding with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and Jehovah turned the waters of the sea upon them; But the children of Israel passed through the midst of the sea

  34. 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

  36. In the middle of the mystery

    Exodus 15
[2] The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

[5] The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

[23] And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called

    *Ruth 1:20 KJV
[20] And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

    Song of Songs 8:7 (KJV)
Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if [a] man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Exodus 14:14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

    Exodus 4:14 KJV
[14] And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

    Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV)
And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

    Deuteronomy 30:6 (KJV)
And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

  37. 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

  38. 1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
    Exodus 15:1-5

This remarkable song is assumed to have come spontaneously as Moses led the nation into the wilderness on the other side of the Red Sea. They sang this song when their salvation was real to them. They sang it when the power and the presence of God were real to them.
When we let God be our strength, He will also be our song. We will sing because of the victory won by the great strength of the LORD. We will have a singing joy in our life because His strength will not let us down.

  39. Obedience is payment for blessing

Jesus also said you are my friends if you obey my commandments.

Because when a child really trusts his father obedience comes natural and without question. That relationship between father and son that cannot fully be explained in its greatness, it hinges first on obedience.

God is infinite in wisdom so why not obey him? The blessings of doing so are innumerable.

  40. 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

Listen and obey is a process we learned since w child. Yet many still struggle to do. If we would ever get the listen dang obey down we would be h stoppable

  41. 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

For I Am the Lord that healeth thee. We love to claim this promise. And it is true. It’s in the Word and it is a promise and affirmation of who He is.
Although, at times we forget about one key principle “if” then. He said he would not put none of these desease that was upon the Egyptians. Yet we must fulfill the small, but great, if.
Diligently hearken and do that which is right in His sight, give ear to his commandments and keep all his statues. If we are living this type of life before the Lord and keeping all his commands and statues, the we can rest assured and claim this promise. No sickness, nothing can come against.

  42. 9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

Much like someone else who said that he would, and was thrust from heaven. Pride comes before the fall.
All too often , if we are truly honest, we would have to admit that we put ourselves in the same position, saying that we will…
We have to remember to take the lower road, and be humble, and say if Jesus allows, we will….

  43. 22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

This passage has always amazed me…God’s chosen people, whom He delivered out of bondage began to murmur and complain over bitter water…. God rolled the waters back and drowned their enemies, they saw this with their own eyes and they still complained. God provided a cloud by day, to shield the from the sun; a light by night so they could see and every morning He provided mana to sustain them! How many more wonders that unfolded before their eyes, did they need to see and know the God would supply their every need. Their are many times that God has supplied our need but yet we complain or say “God, I prayed for a car, you supplied me with one but it’s old, the color is ugly, it has 4 doors not 2” Makes me want to take time and say Lord, I thank you for a vehicle that gets me to church and my job; it may not be perfect but you supplied my need! Lord give me a grateful heart and willingness to serve in Your Kingdom.

  44. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/1/exo.15.2.kjv

The battle we fight is not ours it belongs to God. Our God. The Same God that created the heavens and the earth. The same God that gave us dominion and power. All our trust must be in Jesus. When think back to when God spoke to Moses in the burning bush think of Moses response. He was probably shook. Then when God told him to take up the rod and cast it on the ground….I’m sure he wasnt expecting a snake. He was being tested from that very moment of the burning bush. When started to approach it he answered the call of God. Every battle from there forth was Gods.
Is hope, his trust, everything was in the Lord.
We can’t have this “trust God when I want to” mentality it’s all in or not.

  45. The bitter waters were healed by obedience. If they would not gave obeyed then many people would have been sacrificed. In this same way our obedience is super important. So many souls depend on what we do and if we obey.
