Exodus 16

And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the Lord hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:

And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.

And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the Lord: for he hath heard your murmurings.

10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.

11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God.

13 And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.

14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.

16 This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.

17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.

23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

24 And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

28 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

29 See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

33 And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations.

34 As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

36 Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

AND the Children of Israel still murmured against God!! Lord, keep my spirit right and forgive me when I hadn’t murmured when what I prayed for was not answered according to my way, BUT according to your will. #jesusatthecenter

  2. This chapter makes you think twice about when your about to complain and why. Verses 6-7 MSG say “Moses and Aaron told the People of Israel, “This evening you will know that it is God who brought you out of Egypt; and in the morning you will see the Glory of God. Yes, he’s listened to your complaints against him. You haven’t been complaining against us, you know, but against God.” Be mindful of your blessings and be grateful, for we are blessed to be a blessing.

Matthew 6:30-33 MSG “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”

Galatians 6:10 AMP “So then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith (born-again believers).”

  3. 7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?
8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.

They say you find out who your friends are when you are struggling, people also reveal who they truly are I mean when they’re down to nothing. Every time the Israelites struggled they turned against God but God was merciful every time and would help them out. It reveals his grace while showing their identity. Our character is forged in the fire and revealed whenever we face our highest oppositions. Scripture videos that we are never truly forsaken but it doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to face hard times and struggles. It is then that we find out how we put in the anchor is and how important it is to build their foundation on Christ.

  4. Exodus 16
20 However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.

Some of them paid no attention. So Moses was angry. Some of the most frustrating times is when leadership has spoken what God has commanded . The Israelites were grumbling complaining about how Moses had led them now they think they are going to starve to death. So many times how quick we are to forget the glory of God. What He has just done in our lives. Moses gave instructions accrediting what God instructed. Gather just enough for the day. Yet still someone could not adhere to the leadership instructions. Then when their bread manna has maggots they can’t understand why? People today are the same way . Wondering here and there after they have seen the glory of God experienced His blessings yet they have gone into the world to gather up pleasures to what they believe will sustain them. Soon they find their lives are filled maggots if they had only stayed within the camp and obeyed instructions.

Still even after instructed again some did not listen .

Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. 28 Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you[c] refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?

God was giving instructions for rest and still disobedience reigned within them. It sounds here that even God has become frustrated.

    How long will you refuse?
Sadly to say people refuse the instructions God has placed in His Word refuse instructions given by pastor given by leadership sadly they find their self in a heap of trouble . I’m so thankful the Gods mercies are there waiting . No matter what type of mess or maggots have tried to destroy a person’s life. It’s time even in the church that we adhere to the word of God to the leadership set before us..
It could just be the manna that will save your life.
Daily bread from Heaven prepared by God Himself .
How befitting that His Word is also considered bread . Daily manna prepared . Thank you Jesus.
It’s time we keep the commandments instructions set before us .

    Proverbs 24:6
6 Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers.

    Hebrews 13:7
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

    I John 2

And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

  5. 2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no

Despite the murmurings and complaining of the Israelites, God provided for them the nourishment needed. Can you imagine what the Lord would have done if they had praised Him in advance for food rather than complain?

Some people spend their day complaining about everything. We need to flip our thinking around and turn our complaining into praise. God will bless ya because if the praise and our attitude will be different because we are speaking praise instead of negativity.

  6. Why are we so hard to please? If is not one thing is another! If it rained too much, we pray for sunshine, if there is a drought we pray for rain, if is too hot, we want it to be cold if is too cold we want it to be hot; oh my Lord!!! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
That is all we need to do. No matter what GIVE THANKS, Praise Him at all times!!!!! Give Glory to God and Trust Him, He will bless you greatly if you do!!!!

  7. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    THE BITTER TASTE OF DISOBEDIENCE

19 And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.
20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

People who often find themselves in the clutches of bitter situations, must with sincere heart and honest expectation ask of themselves; “have I been disobedient”. My memory recalls as a boy growing up, my sweet mother seemed to live more peaceably when I was obedient to her. Likewise, over the years I have been witness to precious saints becoming bitter at GOD and the Man of GOD over the smallest act of disobedience.

Life presents its own perils in time and time presents its own opportunities to be disobedient. Especially in seasons of change or situations we do not understand. We witness the unfolding of this calamity here with Israel.

A simple command from GOD through the man of GOD. Do NOT gather more than you will eat. Seems simple to the hungry man going to the buffett, but desire and gluttony overtakes the mind of discipline and obedience.

    The RESULT:

    BITTERNESS, WORMS, STINKY SITUATIONS.

I pray we learn from he pain of our Elders. Obey the man of GOD, he really is most often speaking on behalf of GOD himself.

  8. As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

The children if Isreal thought they were going to starve, but hey an ephah is 35L. 1tenth is about 2.3L which is 9.722 cups in U.S. measurements. So really when you think about it mana was served in very generous portions. We tend to think to much about how to survive in the world; where we should be trusting in God and letting Him lead us. God can guide us to the land flowing of milk and honey, but we can’t see it if we’re always pushing God to the side when things are going good. You can’t ask God to help you out of a situation and then put Him in a box for the next bad stumble. This is a struggle of mine; always putting God first; through the good and the desperate times. We need God 24/7/365; there is no doubt about it. God has to come first or we’re just wandering for the next 40 years through the wilderness. Lord lead me today.

Plain as day, Moses said GATHER TWICE AS MUCH FOR TOMORROW THERE WILL BE NONE! Low and behold…There were some who listen to Moses, and there were some who didnt, they could care less, they was going to do it their own way, and forget what he says, To God Moses was in charge, “How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?” God didnt hold them accountable for not listening, Moses is the one who has to answer to God, he wanted to know Why their not listening and why are there people gathering when you said not to Moses,? God knows what his plans are for us, we dont! All God wants is Commitment, and obedience and to live life according to his word, and his statutes! There was no manna and they still came to gather, but Gods sorry bud, I said NOT TODAY!

    First the Kingdom
When God is Good….God is Good

  10. Exodus 16:14 (AMP), “Then the LORD said to Moses, Behold, I will cause bread to rain from heaven for you; the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, so that I MAY TEST THEM (to determine) whether or not they will walk (obediently) in My instructions (law).
THIS IS A TEST OF OBEDIENCE!!

    Exodus 16:19-20 (AMP)
    19) Moses said, Let none of it be left (overnight) until (the next) morning.
    20) But they did not listen to Moses, and some left a supply of it until morning, and it bred worms and became foul and rotten; and Moses was angry with them.
    FAILED TEST!!

    Exodus 16:26-27 (AMP)
    26) Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none (in the field).
    27) Now on the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they found none.
    FAILED TEST!!

Exodus 16:28 (AMP), “The LORD said to Moses, How long do you (people) refuse to keep My commandments and My instructions (law)?

How many times have we heard, “If you don’t past the TEST the first time, you’ll have to take it over again?”
Why is it that we keep failing the TEST? Answer: “Because we are not OBEDIENT to God and His Word (commands, instructions, law).”
If you want to pass the TEST the first time, walk in OBEDIENCE to God’s Word and Keep His commands, instructions, and law.

In St. John 14:15, JESUS said, “I you love me, keep my commandments.”
In 1 John 5:3 says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:…”

If we truly love God, we will walk in OBEDIENCE to His Word and Keep His Commands, Instructions, Law.

  11. Exodus 16:32-36

God’s miracles and mercies are to be had in remembrance. The word of God is the manna by which are souls are nourished

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

  12. Exodus 16;

Since they left Egypt, God led the Israelites along the desert road. That trajectory was not fortuitous, but it was the divine plan. God led them through the desert to transform them into a free and responsible people, rather than a multitude of slaves and dependents, as they had been for hundreds of years. The first two lessons were learned in the Red Sea and in Mara. The following test was later:

  13. 16:21 And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.
    ——
Ok, so they got what they wanted right?
After all the complain, and murmurations (against God)
They finally got what they in their eyes thought they were lacking or going without.
    ———-
Let us examine ourselves, let us watch our walk in faith with God and see where we are at
Let Our faith in God Be the cause of blessings in our lives. And in the lives of others…
I want to receive because of my faith
I do t want to receive because of my stubbornness and lack of faith and lack of perseverance that would make God angry .😤 at me
Lord help me wait on you.

  14. Then the Lord said, “Moses, how long will you people keep disobeying my laws and teachings?
    Exodus 16:28 CEV

    Never Enough

It’s crazy how easy it is to disobey authority after seeing the hand of GOD moving in your life. He provides, He shelters, He leads you, He fights your battles, He gives you VICTORY. But still you don’t truly trust the LORD. It seems to be a heart issue. You’ve seen the LORD work mightly in your life, but doubt and fear always seems to surface. What a battle in the mind to think ‘I never have enough’

  15. 32 And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

Over and over God has proven himself to the children of Israel, yet they continue to question His goodness and disobey simple directions. Let’s remember His goodness and testify for generations about His goodness. People are searching and we have the ability to compel them; all you gotta do is tell them how good God’s been to you!

  16. Every time i read this chapter 16,
this Question allways pop’s up in my head
Why 40 years in the desert?
Why not just 10 years or 3 years even 3 months, or days?

And the reason why is because his people has created a difrent mentality, they had a mentality of slavery, there faith was not the same, they allways want to turn back to there old ways, so God knew that he had to start the proces again, even tho God put them tru a 40 year proces he never left them, he provide for them, even tho they will turn there backs on him

And is the same with us with his church his bride, somtimes the proces takes longer in some than other, and we may ask why lord?
And God answers me true this story exodous 16, r proces has a porpous even tho u think is been way to long

    • Since they left Egypt, God led the Israelites along the desert road. That trajectory was not fortuitous, but it was the divine plan. God led them through the desert to transform them into a free and responsible people, rather than a multitude of slaves and dependents, as they had been for hundreds of years. The first two lessons were learned in the Red Sea and in Mara. The following test was later:

  17. And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

  18. Exodus Chapter 16 verses 3-5
So children should always thank Jesus even though he died in Egypt and when the people ate bread to the full they brought that food back to the wilderness so the rest of there people would not go hungry and Moses had said Jesus Let it Rain Bread and other foods from Heaven so that people that are starving can have food to eat so then if they run out they could go out and gather food then on Saturday the sixth day they prepare food that they brought in and then they gather food for seven days a week daily

  19. 4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

God tries us all to see if we will walk in his ways or our own. Some of the people obeyed while others didn’t until they found out what God spoke through Moses was truth. They had to learn to trust Moses and Aaron as well as allow God to lead them his way. We have the same proving today- follow our Pastor and trust that he has a word from God each time he preaches. Signs and miracles follow as well as the the pouring out of his Spirit which tells us we are in His will.

  20. Exodus 16:14-15 [Amp] And when the few had gone, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a,fine , round and flake thing , as fine as hoarfrost on the ground.
[15] When the Isralites saw it, they said one to another, Manna [ What is it?] For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, This is bread which the Lord has given you to eat.
Well who do you believe in? I believe that My God can do anything. So don’t worry anymore just live for Jesus.

  21. 6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the Lord hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:
7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

After all the Lord had done, they still needed proof that He brought them out of Egypt?? I don’t understand this. I don’t understand people like this. You’ve seen the plagues in Egypt, you’ve seen the pillar of smoke and fire, you’ve also seen the Red Sea parted and then it crashes down on Pharaoh and his people as soon as the last of the Israelites make it through, and yet you still need proof?? Why?? Hasn’t God proven His love, dedication, and will for you enough by this point?? After all of it this and you still speak against the man of God!

20 Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

Moses tells them what to do and some still don’t listen. When they got too much it stank and bred worms. When Pastor instructs us to do something that God has told him and you don’t do what He says to the “t”, don’t think that no one notices. It is obvious as your attitude stinks and things that you do start to breed worms. It is noticeable to not only Pastor but those around you.

Now if you still hadn’t gotten the memo that God had brought you out of Egypt then this would just be another confirmation. When for six days whatever is leftover stinks and bred with worms and then on the seventh is not. It’s just another sign that God will provide, He will take care, and He will lead you to your next promise.

God had a lot of patience! At this point, I feel as though I would have wanted to make an example out of some people. You want to talk about the Man of God and then not follow instructions! Dead! I’ve told you multiple times what to do, for to do it and still you choose not to listen. “the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?”, God even speaks of this. So He must be a little frustrated at this point. How many times does He feel like that with us? In today’s world, when Pastor gives us so much instruction. How does He feel when we feel we don’t need to listen??!?

  22. 2 Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, give us water, that we may drink. So Moses said to them, why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord? (Stop complaining.. the children of Israel dont realize that it is God who is in control of every situation they face, yet they come down on Moses and Aaron. God has delivered them from the hands of Pharaoh, showed them many signs and they still dont believe. Stop blaming others for your situation. )

  23. iLove the Kingdom
Wow, over and over these people refused to believe the Word of the Lord spoken by Moses. They continue to do what they want regardless of the consequences. We must follow the Word, but we must follow our pastor and when he gives a command, we should follow it

  24. It seems easy for us to think bad thoughts about the Israelites at this point. God moved the oceans to save these people from slavery and punishment. Yet, here they are complaining about how they would rather be slaves and eat well. Today, we might tend to look down our noses at these people and tsk tsk – why cant they see what God has done for them?

Are we really that different? When we are in the midst of a battle/struggle/trial/temptation do we see things from the end looking back? I find myself so concerned with the moment that I forget simple truths that God will not allow me to stand under more than what He knows I can handle. He will also provide a way of escape, etc. We all know these truths but we tend to focus on what’s in our face.

So, let’s not be too judgmental on these folks when we might have the same complaints

  25. 3And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.
4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

When we seek after His Kingdom, He will provide for you. K ow that God has not left you or forsaken you. You are His child, you are made in His image. Seek after Him. Seek after Hos Kingdom.

  26. But when they measured it out, everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed.
    Exodus 16:18 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/exo.16.18.NLT

Jehovah Jireh supplies all my needs. I thank you, God, for keeping Your hand on us Lord. You see us. You provide. You are an amazing God.

  27. 25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

God’s commandments were clear. Gather 6 days and rest on the 7th. However the children insisted to do as they wanted. How often as we walk in this world and we continue hear advice from others that have been where we are and we disregard what they are telling us. No matter how much we are being helped we continue to shrug off the voice of elders or even our pastor, and we do it our way. I can only imagine how many times people end up in situations that are stinky and rotten because they did not heed the instructions.

God has given us the plan to use to reach those that needing saving and those that are hungry enough to follow the exact directions to be filled. Seek first the kingdom of God and listen for the voice of God to give you directions like you need to be successful in the kingdom. Allow your pride to be set aside and humble your self before him at the altar.

  28. God gives breads one day each.

5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

  29. 2. And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

    3. And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Did they really think God would send all those plagues on the Egyptians, part the sea so they could walk on dry ground, and drown the Egyptian army for them, just to let them die in the wilderness?

  30. “There, too, the whole community of Israel complained about Moses and Aaron. “If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.””
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Israel selectively remembered the past and thought of their time in Egypt as a good time. They lost sight of God’s future for them, and they also twisted the past to support their complaining. Lord help me not to ever be a complainer..

  31. It’s you’re choice;
It doesn’t matter what the enemy says, stop listening, stop talking back to it 🤐murmurings; Block you’re blessing.

Exodus 16:8 And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.

Matthew 25:1-4 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Psalms 78:41 Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

  32. Exodus‬ ‭16:3CEV. ““We wish the Lord had killed us in Egypt. When we lived there, we could at least sit down and eat all the bread and meat we wanted. But you have brought us out here into this desert, where we are going to starve.””

Exodus‬ ‭16:4‬ ‭CEV‬‬ The Lord said to Moses, “I will send bread down from heaven like rain. Tell the people to go out each day and gather only enough for that day. That’s how I will see if they obey me

  33. “And they journeyed from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they departed from the land of Egypt. Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.”
    ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16:1-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
People will legit complain to go back to sin. I had a friend and they always talked about how life was easier in the world. She would say things like “ man I didn’t have to worry things like this when I was doing…” but they didn’t realize that the pressure is the Lord was pushing… and all they had to do was fight and continue their fight. A fight. The fight.

    A fight for salvation.

  34. 21. Moses said, Let none of it be left (overnight) until (the next) morning.
20 But they did not listen to Moses, and some left a supply of it until morning, and it bred worms and became foul and rotten; and Moses was angry with them.

Looks like some of them just did whatever they wanted and ignored their leader. Hard lesson learned.
Still today, God speaks to us through our Pastor but why do we hesitate to obey sometimes.

  35. 4 Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

For some this would be a scary place to be, to have Jesus judge if you are following His commands or not..

  36. Our God is a merciful and loving God. He is our provider. He always welcomes us back with open arms.
Kari Jobe sings a beautiful song called
    Though I’m not worthy

    Though I’m not worthy
    To see Your precious face
    I bow before thee
    Pour out Your holy grace
For You alone can wash my sin
And cleanse my soul so deep within
    Heal me
    Wash me in your mercy
Mend these broken pieces of my heart
    Love me
    Though I am not worthy
Cleanse my soul and make me whole again
    Only say the word
    And I shall be healed
    Though I’m not worthy
In Your grace I long to stand
    And bow before Thee
    Stretch out Your healing hand
    For You alone can purify
And heal these wounds so deep inside
    Heal me
    Wash me in your mercy
Mend these broken pieces of my heart
    Love me
    Though I am not worthy
Cleanse my soul and make me whole again
    Only say the word
    And I shall be healed
    Be healed
    I’m not worthy
To feel Your love oh Lord
    I bow before Thee
    My Savior be adored
    For You alone
    Break hardened hearts
    And bid all bitterness depart
    Heal me
    Wash me in Your mercy
Mend these broken pieces of my heart
    Love me
    Though I am not worthy
Cleanse my soul and make me whole again
    Only say the Word
    And I shall be healed

  37. 2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Be careful what you say. God takes it very seriously when you speak against the man of God. We must remember that it is God Himself that raises one and puts down another. They represent His delegated authority and voice. When one rebels and speaks I’ll against them or their commands you are rebelling against the Authority they represent. Even murmuring and complaining. There is a way to ask. I don’t believe it was the will of God to starve but may have waited a little to test their hearts and mind. Immediately they always reverted to having it better in Egypt. There still was no relationship with the Father. When you have a relationship with your heavenly Father you honor and respect the authority he sets before.

There is a way to ask. Instead of asking with respect they murmur in dishonor. There was not trust, no belief, despite seeing great wonders and miracles. What good father will not feed his children. But instead of asking they complained and spoken ill against. We must remember that the Lord knows what we have need off even before we ask. You might be surprised that if you ask you will get an answer, even from the man of God. The Word of God says to honor thy father and mother which is the first commandment with promise and blessing. I believe this also applies to your spiritual father/ authority God has placed over your life. David honored Saul despite having the opportunity to take revenge into his own hands. God in returned honors David and established his kingdom. So remember whatch what you say and ask dont complain. The word encourages to a ask not complain. Ask and it shall be answered, you have not because you ask not. And yet we dont see where answered after they complained, spoke bad or murmured.

Honor and respect goes a long way. And every question has an answer…

  38. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.

Growing up we ate whatever was put on the table. We were not to complain but be grateful that there was food. This concept is true in the kingdom. God has given us His word and we are to eat it not pick through it but even when it’s bitter know that it is for our good.

  39. 28 ‭‭“And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?”
    ‭‭
Not much longer, Time is shorter Now is the time .

  40. Our Daily Bread

Although God could have dumped buckets of manna full of Holy preservatives down on the people that could have lasted forever, he chose to teach a principle. The principle is to thrive and live in the here and now. The mana from yesterday was no good and you only got enough today for today. The lesson is, to move past yesterday, we are not promised tomorrow but make the most of today. Don’t stop planning for the future but learn how to live right now.

  41. Then Moses said, “This is the word which the Lord commands, ‘Let an omer of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’ ”
    EXODUS 16:32 AMP

Never forget what God has beought ypu out of and how he did it. Becuase if he did it for me I know he can do it for somebody else. Our testimony will help others to get through the same situations we went through. Be a living qitness to others about how Mighty He is!

  42. 2There, too, the whole community of Israel complained about Moses and Aaron.

3“If only the LORD had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”

Complainers will always complain. They will find something to complain about no matter how small the issue. Instead of helping or trying to fix it, they rather complain and let hot air out. They should go pray, and realize any issue will get fixed in time.
