Exodus 17

And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the Lord?

And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not?

Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

16 For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Jehovah Nissi: A submission from India says the name Nissi means “Gift of god” and is of Hebrew origin. … A user from United Kingdom says the name Nissi is of Hebrew origin and means “The Lord Is My Banner”.

  2. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

It’s good to have friends that will help you in your walk with God. Friends that will cheer you on, help you up when you get down. Friends that will tell you what is right and wrong of what you are doing.

  3. Moses names the place for the way the children of Israel chided was it’s him.

    Definition of chide
    intransitive verb
: to speak out in angry or displeased rebuke
is quick to chide against the mayor for his negligence
    transitive verb
: to voice disapproval to : reproach in a usually mild and constructive manner : SCOLD

Moses knew they were talking against him so much, that it became the name for the place. Leaders often know more about situations than people believe. In this case it caused a place to be named after their actions.

  4. What an awesome support team.
As the battle rages Moses has became tired.
Joshua Aaron and Hur are very valuable in the victory of battle between the Amalekites and the children of Israel. Joshua is leading the battle and Moses along with Hur and Aaron go to the top of the mountain. There is battle that rages daily in our lives and yes the body and the mind will get tired : There are multiple examples throughout the word of God. War continues to rage and does not wait for a season of rest. Moses was equipped from God with a staff in his hand used for many powerful demonstrations from God. A good leader following the voice of God. Yet Noses was human. The battle was racing and results were occurring but not without the side of Moses support team. When Moses became tired and his hands would fall down the battle ceased to be won. Thankfully his team was in place. There are times especially as we begin to grow older we are in need of support. No matter how long you have been in doing the will of God .
There is a war raging the mind gets tired the body gets week. I’m thankful for the support from others. There are times our hands begin to slip down and the battle begins to be lost but because of faithful friends faithful support victory can be achieved . If each person would understand just the value God has placed upon them for whatever role they have to play in the Kingdom there would be more victories won. I’m thankful for those who know how to support leadership and those who may from time to time become weary . Whether it is setting a table up preparing a sandwich handing someone a drink of water carrying our trash sending an encouraging word you may just have helped win a raging battle that you didn’t even know was going on. Moses had to have the support .
I’m thankful for my friends God has placed in my life that when they hear or see the battle is wearing at me I can rest assured they soon will be at my side holding my hands up.
I’m thankful that POFW has many people who hold our Leadership s hands up . Rest assured God sees those who are there to assist our Leader Pastor and Sis Watts . Yes the battle is raging but God uses those available and willing to help win the victory.
Who are you assuring assisting today they may be ready to let their hands down tired from the battle.
My. mind goes back to the many services as a child and into my teen years we don’t see it much anymore. When someone was warring in prayer there would be someone on each side of them holding their arms up. No matter how long they tarried in the alter their support team never left them. They were there to see the battle was won!
God grant us each the desire to support one another in times of spiritual war during times of weariness in the natural and spiritual. In Jesus name,
We will be victorious. The Support Team what a calling from God. We need one another !

  5. 9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

Ther did one thing that I have learned Over the years while living for God, and that is you never bite into preacher blood. There comes a time that we will either be submitted to the man of God or not. We have to realize that the man of God is just as human as we are, but they are the ones that God has chosen to lead the sheep. The scripture tells us in psalms 105:15-

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

This tells me I have to be submitted 100% regardless if I agree 100% of the time or not. I have to be like Aaron and Hur, it’s my job to hold the man of God hands up during the process of the battle. Through prayer and intercession for him, he will be lifted up and he will be able to lead the congregation forward for the kingdom of God. Just as the children of Israel, we are going to have to hear all kinds of murmuring and complaining, but we have to keep holding the arms of the man of God.

My prayer this morning for us here at the POFW, it to get behind the man of God and plow through the adversity and obstacles of this world and have revival for the kingdom of God. Seeking first the kingdom will get us in position to heed the call of God to support the man of God. That is our mission today as saints of God!

  6. 12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Have you ever prayed and your hands get tired? I have seen it in our church how a brother held his brothers hands up or a sister their sister’s hands up; for me that’s a beautiful sight!!!! Prevailing in prayer with the help of your church family. The battle is hard, way too hard to fight it alone. FIND A CHURCH! VICTORY COMES IN UNITY!!! Upholding your Pastor in prayer and his family!!! Thank you Jesus for POFW!

    Exodus 17:15 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/exo.17.15.NLT

My God goes before me in a Mighty March. He fights my battles. He is the Undefeated One. When I have the enemy closing in on all sides I need not be afraid. My God is my Protector.

  9. 3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

leadership comes with the burden of standing your ground even when the people you’re supposed to be leading I’m not following you. It’s almost a paradox. Leading when no one follows you. The children of Israel became weak at the hint of being hungry and thirsty and would murmur against Moses and complain that they would have rather died in Egypt but Moses stood his ground and took their complaint to the Lord and the Lord was graceful and provided. There are many things you can pick up from this story in the Bible such as knowing that God will always provide for you but what sticks out to me is the fact that Moses never complained against the Lord. he just went and communed with God every time there was a need and trusted that things would be taken care of. Sometime leading involves doing it all by yourself

  10. 8. Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

    13. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

    14. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

God is the originator of “kicking tail and taking names!”
If you’re going to attack the People of God, we’re going to need to write your name down, because God will erase the remembrance of you from under heaven!

GOD IS THE BATTLE AXE IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE. He is showing them that he is the way maker. Bread, Water, Victory, Quail, it all comes from him, and the children of isreal have no need to worry, but they do anyways! **REFLECTION TIME** I can be the same what at times! Sometimes our murmuring and complaining can be just as bad if not worse!
HES A BATTLE AXE…IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE, SHELTER IN THE TIME OF A STORM! This song popped in my head as soon as I read the part where Joshua and Moses Won, Because it is just like God, to make away!

    FIRST THE KINGDOM
Even in the time of WAR…God is good!

  13. iLove the Kingdom
Exo 17:2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
Exo 17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
Exo 17:4 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

It’s ok to be thirsty and ask for water, but look at the context of the people’s asking. The word “chide” means to argue and accuse. Perfectly normal to want and need water, but unacceptable to blame the man of God. They blamed, and spoke evil concerning Moses and God accusing them of bringing them to the Wilderness to die. These folks were bout to stone Moses. Sometimes the man of God says and does things that do not make sense. Regardless, we should humble ourselves and not accuse the man of God.

  14. The Lord said to Moses, “Walk out in front of the people. Take your staff, the one you used when you struck the water of the Nile, and call some of the elders of Israel to join you. I will stand before you on the rock at Mount Sinai. Strike the rock, and water will come gushing out. Then the people will be able to drink.” So Moses struck the rock as he was told, and water gushed out as the elders looked on. Moses named the place Massah (which means “test”) and Meribah (which means “arguing”) because the people of Israel argued with Moses and tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord here with us or not?”
    Exodus 17:5‭-‬7 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/exo.17.5-7.NLT

Moses did as God instructed him; the people always complaining and murmuring. It amazes me how even today the children of God complain about the things of the Kingdom. If we would just stop and realize that God is in our lives for a reason: then the complaining would stop. I know that I have complained; when is it going to be my turn. When am I going to see the blessings; I have to stop and remember that it is in His time not mine. Yeah I can make things happen, but is it from God or did I just do it on my own. Think Joe; you have been blessed in the name of Jesus; for one God lead you through major surgery; two you have a home, a loving wife, and you are working. I have to stop and let God do what He does; I have to stop trying to do it on my own. Thank you Jesus for all that you do and have done in my life.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
    Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/pro.3.5-6.NLT

The struggle is very real. This is what has to happen in my life. Lord help me to lean on you and to not trust in my own understanding. I know that I need you in my life; there is no doubt about it. Thank you Jesus for this understanding.

    VICTORIOUS BATTLE PLANS

11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

Hands UP and Hands ON are the VICTORIOUS BATTLE PLANS. We need to Lift UP, Hold UP and Keep UP the hands of our Leaders. GOD in HIS unique wisdom and favor chose to Bless the simple act of Hands UP by the man of GOD to assure victory for HIS people.

These Blessed, doubting, oft negative and combative people were witness to miracles in Egypt and yes even in the wilderness. BUT. GOD chose to Bless them with life and VICTORY through the simple act of their Leader.

Moses hands were heavy from Leading. BUT. GOD gave him support, a Staff to hold up the STAFF. The church is never more poised for VICTORY than when its Leaders are uplifted.

Are you lifting up the hands of your Leader or are you binding the hands of your Leader. Can he instruct you, correct you, guide you or do you have the “Leave me alone” approach.

I release my man of GOD to keep his hands UP and I will keep my hands ON the Battle.

Its SUNDAY! Lets GO to Church.

4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

How good do you follow directions? Do you follow them to the tee or do you put your own twist on it?
When we seek after His Kingdom, we are bound to get direction about something. How well do we listen? Do we follow the instruction that Gkd has given us, kr better yet do we follow the direction of Pastor? Pastor is the mouth piece of God to our Church. Too often we write off what is said coming from behind the pulpit, yet this is where God is speaking to us. Moses did as the Lord had commanded, so does our Pastor. Thank you Jesus for a Pastor that truly seeks after the Kingdom of God and what He wants for our Church. We must support the man of God, and the vision of our church. We must seek after His Kingdom FIRST!!!! Because it is the right way to seek after God.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

  17. When God gives you a promise start preparing for it
    “”They be””
When words make you build an alter with an bleeding heart
Words can form weapons but will not prosper only turn into oil to build an alter to place a bleeding heart into the hands of God

Isaiah 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

Exodus 17:3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

Exodus 17:12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Exodus 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

    Isaiah 54:17 KJV
[17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord , and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord .

  18. 10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

There’s something about the people rallying around the man of God and holding his hands up literally and spiritually. Sometimes the work of the ministry is laborious mentally and physically, and it takes the whole body, lifting in prayer and in unity to complete the task that the Lord has given us.

Be a spiritual help, lift up the hands of the ministry so that the battle we are fighting can be won victoriously.

  19. Exodus 17 :6 [ Amp] Behold, I stand before you there on the rock at ( Mount) Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it.that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. Thank you God for the elders and there mighty work. We must seek our Lord first and follow his instructions. In Jesus name.

  20. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Our Pastor needs an Aaron and Hur to lift him up so that we at POFW prevail. He needs an Aaron and Hur not just from the Ministry, but from each and every ministry. Our unity will cause us to prevail.

  21. Exodus 17

1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the Lord?

3 And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

  22. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:

Lord You reign in victory! Recognize when God is moving; it’ll all be on His time, may even happen before we realize it’s happening. And then praise him for what He’s done!

  23. 1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
Israel did exactly what God commanded, following the pillar of cloud and fire; yet there was no water to drink. They were in the will of God but in a difficult time. It is possible to be completely in the will of God yet also in a season of great problems.

  24. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12 But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Our Pastor does a lot to protect us and to keep us safe. He follows the voice of God and does as He asks. But yet he is human just like us. He gets tired from time to time and it is our job to lift him up. To hold up his hands when he gets weary. Rather than talk about him and tear him down, we should pray for him and lift him up. I am always thankful for a Pastor that is always lifting my family and I up in prayer!! In return we do the same and we support him and lift Sis. Watts and him up in prayer as well!

  25. Exodus 17:6-7
    6) Behold, I Will Stand Before Thee There Upon The Rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
    7) And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

“Is the LORD among us, or not?”
I find it amazing, miracle (deliverance from Egypt), after miracle (dividing the Red Sea and walking over on dry ground), after miracle (feeding them quail and manna), after miracle (giving them water to drink), that they still asked,”whether the LORD was with them or not.”
Yet, we can find ourselves doing the same thing, when we are faced with a test or trail, we begin to wonder, “Is the LORD with us or not.”

Forgive me LORD for ever doubting whether “You are with me or not” after ALL the things you have done for me and my family.
Thank You JESUS for your word that says, “… I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The LORD is my helper…” (Heb. 13:5b-6a).

Thank You JESUS for YOU are FAITHFUL!!

  26. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi:
16 For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Jehovahnissi is only once in scripture. The background of the name Jehovah-Nissi involves the Israelites’ wandering in the desert after leaving their bondage in Egypt. Along the way, they were attacked by the Amalekites, a powerful and warlike group of nomads. As the battle commenced, Moses stood on the top of a hill where he could see the armies below him. He held in his hand the “rod of God”—the same rod with which he had struck a rock to bring forth water for the people in the desert

In the fight as long as Moses arms where up they were winning. Yet the moment his arms came down they would being to loose. Understand how important the man of God is in our lives. God has given us a pastor after his heart to lead and guide us. We must uplift him by ensuring the very foundation of the word of God is the rock that is placed under him in moments of tiredness. for Jesus is the key cornerstone And he needs to continually be placed under him. We are not here to defy the foundation the church was built on because of our laziness or failure to want to obey the will of God. We are in battle with the enemy and the man of God is here to protect us and give vision.

As we continue to stand in unity with the foundational principles we are lifting up his hands. As we obey the preached word of God we are upholding his hands. As we preach and teach the word of God to the lost we are upholding his hands. The church was built upon the solid rock of truth and truth will sustain the church in times of weakened but submission to the man of God plays a big part in our victory.

  27. 4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

5 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

God will bless you in any situation as long as you call on him and obey.

  28. 2 Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink.

4 And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

I would have brought water so that my servants would have something to drink..

  29. 13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

It is easier to remember and keep the testimonies straight when they are written down. We miss so many blessings because we don’t rehearse where God has blessed us, as He is waiting for us to tell of his wonderful works, that He might be lifted up, so that he can draw ALL men into Him.

  30. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi

Throughout the Bible God will take on many titles but there is still one name above all other names. Jesus is his name. Jahovanissi – the Lord is my banner. Meaning that when an armed raises up their flag, we raise up Jesus. He is our representation in battle. Moses was giving God all the credit for the victory over the amlikites. When we raise up the banner of Jesus Christ it is not our fight anymore and the Lord fights for us.

  31. 13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

Whenever the Lord says something it is established and He will make it come to pass. He wanted to make sure that Joshua knew. This fulfillment however, goes on to the days of Saul where the Lord would test his obedience with something He had already established from Long ago. The command was to completely destroy the Amalekites. This God had already established and all Saul had to do is believe and obey.

  32. 5 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.

God knew the children of Israel would eventually become thirsty and murmur …again. Thirst is a bodily reminder that we are human and require hydration … especially traveling in the wilderness. Moses was told to bring the elders with him when he goes before the people. He recognizes the people are busy making accusations against him and ready to stone him so now he is going to need familiar allies. Moses is only doing as God asked him to do, and it’s not his fault that their aren’t rivers flowing through the land. It is called a wilderness after all. The wilderness is a place where Israel had to shed the flesh like desires of self to rely and trust God.

  33. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

THIS IS HOW I FIGHT MY BATTLES!!! IT MAY LOOK LIKE IM SURROUNDED, BUT I’M SURROUNDED BY YOU!!!
THIS IS HOW I FIGHT MY BATTLES!!!

We have to have some kind of fight to be a follower of JESUS CHRIST!!! WHETHER IT BE SACRIFICE, TEARS, PAIN, HURT, MONETARY BUT ANYTHING GOOD WILL MOST LIKELY COME AT A PRICE!!!

  34. Another complaint and yet another miraculous answer. You would think that by now the people would know that the Lord was with them and would supply their every need; but, yet we too question this also when trouble comes or when we try to complain about something that we think we need or don’t have. God knows what you need and when you really need it. Everything is in His time and in His manner.

Verses 10-12 AMP “So Joshua did as Moses said, and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and [e]Hur went up to the hilltop. Now when Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and when he lowered his hand [due to fatigue], Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy and he grew tired. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so it was that his hands were steady until the sun set.” We too must work in unity and lift each other up as Ephesians 6:18 MSG says “In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits UP so that no one falls behind or drops out.”

  35. 2So once more the people complained against Moses. “Give us water to drink!” they demanded.

Again the people complained. After all the miracles, they should know by now that God will provide. Don’t worry about the necessities of life, God will always ensure you have food on the table, and protect you.

  36. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
    Exodus 17:11‭-‬12 KJV

Jesus said. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20). As we work, we all use our brothers and sisters in Christ to keep us accountable and for an encouraging word when we get weary. Just like this situation, we all will in someway and somehow be Moses in the story but it also important to be the role of Aaron and Hur. When the opportunity to lift someone up presents itself, I pray we take it. Whether it be through a simple gesture or encouraging word, I pray we allow God to use us as an aide in time of need.
