Leviticus 17

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,

What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,

And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the Lord.

And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord.

And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the Lord; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

10 And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

12 Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.

13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

15 And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.

16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.

The Life of the Flesh that Jesus Christ wrapped Himself in was in the Precious Blood. !! It was His Blood He willingly gave so we MAY OBTAIN THE REMISSION OF SIN (animals
Only gave us atonement yearly) BUT CHRIST GABR US REMISSION OF SINS FOREVER MORE!! It is by His Blood we claim things DONE!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!

  2. 7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

When every man was his own priest, and had an altar of his own, by degrees, as they became vain in their imaginations, they invented gods of their own, and offered their sacrifices unto demons. The word signifies rough or hairy goats, because it is probable that in the shape the evil spirits often appeared to them, to invite their sacrifices and to signify their acceptance of them. For the devil, ever since he became a revolter from God and a rebel against him, has set up for a rival with him, and coveted to have divine honours paid him: he had the impudence to solicit our blessed Saviour to fall down and worship him. The Israelites themselves had learned in Egypt to sacrifice to demons. And some of them, it should seem, practised it even since the God of Israel had so gloriously appeared for them, and with them. They are said to go a whoring after these demons; for it was such a breach of their covenant with God as adultery is of the marriage covenant: and they were as strongly addicted to their idolatrous worships, and as hard to be reclaimed from them, as those that have given themselves over to fornication, to work all uncleanness with greediness; and therefore it is with reference to this that God calls himself a jealous God.

We sometimes have made our altars in places where our altars should not have been. It allowed strange offerings unto God and it has been a time we did not have the relationship like we should. We have to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness to gain the vital resources we need to have a relationship to see the glory of God. We have to remain obedient to Gods word and follow his commandments.

  6. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD

The LIFE of all flesh is in the Blood. Ponder this fact for a moment, For the Blood of JESUS to have any Power or effect over sin, HE first had to become a LIFE and to be a LIFE it is required that HE have Blood.

We learn here that Blood = LIFE and LIFE = Blood and the sight or shedding of Blood = Death. This magnifies our Saviors sacrifice in value and importance. Seeing that HE was slain from the foundation of the world, JESUS was born of woman to give HIS Blood = LIFE so that we could have LIFE through HIS Blood.

Life is in the Blood, therefore we must apply the Blood of JESUS to our lives to have His LIFE. The initial application of HIS Blood to our lives is at Baptism and again this reveals the importance of Baptism in the Name of JESUS who gave his Blood = LIFE for us.

    THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD.

  7. Verses 1-9 MSG “God spoke to Moses: “Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites. Tell them, This is what God commands: Any and every man who slaughters an ox or lamb or goat inside or outside the camp instead of bringing it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to offer it to God in front of The Dwelling of God—that man is considered guilty of bloodshed; he has shed blood and must be cut off from his people. This is so the Israelites will bring to God the sacrifices that they’re in the habit of sacrificing out in the open fields. They must bring them to God and the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and sacrifice them as Peace-Offerings to God. The priest will splash the blood on the Altar of God at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and burn the fat as a pleasing fragrance to God. They must no longer offer their sacrifices to goat-demons—a kind of religious orgy. This is a perpetual decree down through the generations. “Tell them, Any Israelite or foreigner living among them who offers a Whole-Burnt-Offering or Peace-Offering but doesn’t bring it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to God, that person must be cut off from his people.” Sometimes we get into our little routines and habits; but, this chapter reminds us of how important it is that we bring everything before the Lord. Psalm 32:8 AMP says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.:”.

  8. 11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

In this time, God had given them the blood of animals to make atonement for them…at Calvary, He gave His own blood to make atonement for the whole world.

  9. Amputations became widespread during the Civil War and the removal of a limb was the most common surgical procedure in battlefield hospitals. It’s often assumed that amputations were performed so often because surgeons at the time were unskilled and simply resorted to procedures bordering on butchery
So the army medics amputated lots of arms and legs, or limbs. About three-fourths of the operations performed during the war were amputations. These amputations were done by cutting off the limb quickly—in a circular-cut sawing motion—to keep the patient from dying of shock and pain.
Of the approximately 30,000 amputations performed in the Civil War there was a 26.3-percent mortality rate.

In today’s time the church is very cautious who comes on the platform. Reading through Leviticus we see that past the veil it was where the word was recurved from the Lord. The ark of the covenant (the angels) faced each other and praised God between each other then the glory of the Lord showed up. An atmosphere of praise was set..that being said Pastor is cautious who establishes and leads that atmosphere. He’s cautious who is behind the pulpit in general. If their spirit isn’t right and they’ve been devouring flesh then that’s what’s gonna be coming across the pulpit…Flesh!

    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The blood is what brings us life; it renews, restores, and makes us whole. There is wonder working power, in the precious blood of the Lamb!

  11. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

For centuries medical science experimented with a method known as bloodletting, if someone had a sickness or some type of disease, they would cut a part of their arm to let them bleed out the disease or sickness. They truly believed that that was an effective method despite the people that died from this message. who would have thought if they had just read the Bible they could have found out how important the blood is. It wasn’t until around the 1800’s did medical science “discover” the importance of blood in the body and then change their diagnosis. You can actually find all throughout the law areas where God gave them instructions on how to deal with issues that medical science didn’t discover it until later. The word has the answer. Almost every situation we face you can find the answer in the word of God.

  12. 17:11 [Amp] For the life ( the animal soul) is in the blood, and I have given it for you blood , and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls ; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life [ which it represents]. Nothing the blood of Jesus can wipe out sins. Thank you Jesus for the blood.

Salvation, cleansing, redemption, all in the Blood, we heard it just this WED. That they had to shed the blood of the animals for their sin offerings, and their burnt offering, the blood was used to cleanse and sanctify the Alter and the robes, when we get baptized we are being washed. We are being cleansed. When Jesus died, it’s by his blood that our sins are atoned, not forgiven, but atoned. We ask for forgiveness, we are washed in baptism, we receive the Holy Ghost. Thank you Jes for the life that is in the blood.

To have life: blood had to be shed. Jesus gave the blood of himself so that we can be saved. The Isrealites brought unblemished animals for sacrifice. Their blood was used to purify and make atonements for their sins. Jesus was sacrificed so that we could be cleansed of all our sins. I thank you Jesus for giving of yourself so that I can live eternally.

    🎯 Leviticus 17:11 KJV
[11] For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

    **1 Peter 1:16-25 KJV
[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. [17] And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: [18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; [19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: [20] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, [21] Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. [22] Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: [23] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. [24] For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: [25] But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

    Hebrews 4:12 KJV
[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

    Hebrews 4:13-16 KJV
[13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. [14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

  16. The purpose of this rule is to stop the Israelites from sacrificing animals in the open fields. It will ensure that they bring their sacrifices to the priest at the entrance of the Tabernacle, so he can present them to the Lord as peace offerings.
    Leviticus 17:5 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/lev.17.5.NLT

We must bring our offerings to the Lord. We can do good things for others and give to help other people. There’s plenty of opportunities for that, but that cannot take the place of bringing our tithe and offering to the Lord.

  17. 8 And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,

9 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the Lord; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.

Sacrifice was a requirement. If you or those in your household did not bring the sacrifice and offer it unto the Lord, you were cut off.

How is it that people feel like they can come to God any old way and God has to be okay with that? We must present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him. Sometimes this means cutting things off in our lives that pollutes our spirits. It could even mean cutting people from our lives that continually speak negatively against what God is doing.

Whatever it takes for us to continue to be pure and holy before the Lord is what we must do. The cost of sacrifice is worth the prize in the end. The prize is Jesus!

  18. iLove the Kingdom
7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

The New Testament gives us more information on this sacrifice to demons.

1Co 10:20 No, not at all. I am saying that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don’t want you to participate with demons.
1Co 10:21 You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too.
1Co 10:22 What? Do we dare to rouse the Lord’s jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than he is?

In your mind you might think, “Well, in todays culture we are far passed sacrificing to demons. We don’t do that any more. That was back in the day. The fact of the matter is, folk still sacrifice to devils. Now, I’m not just talking about the obvious now with the satanic folk, but I’m talking about folk with addictions in medicines, drugs, alcohol, and ect. We must remain free from addictions thereby refusing to sacrifice to devils.

  19. Leviticus 17
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’

So is the life of the flesh in the blood? Although not confirmed by science until modern times, this statement from Leviticus 17:11 has always been true. “Blood actively maintains life by providing a vital function for all cells, tissues and organs, and thus the life of the whole body. “

The astonishment of the role of the blood.
It has everything to do with the health of a person
The more I have read in Leviticus the more appreciative daily I have become for the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The functions of natural blood is amazing from how much a person has and the multitude of capabilities within the body to function properly.
How more amazing the precious blood of Jesus Christ that He gave so that we could have redemption how much more the blood of Jesus Christ must be applied on our life so that we too can have spiritual life.
Life in the blood oh yes .

‘Take it and eat it, for this is my body’ ” (Matthew 26:26). He then gave thanks and offered them the cup and said, ” ‘Each of you drink from it, for this is my blood, which seals the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out to forgive the sins of many’ ” (Matthew 26:27-28).
    Thank God for the Blood

  20. Leviticus 17:11 For the life of flesh is in the blood : and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

    Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

In his blood: The emphasis is not on the blood as it coursed through Christ’s veins, but as it was shed for our sins. This is how the mercy seat was accomplished,

    Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

It’s all about the Blood! Thank God for the blood that washed me white as snow.

  21. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

“I know it was the blood,
I know it was the blood,
I know it was the blood for me
One day when I was lost, He died upon the cross
And I know it was the blood for me”

Thankful for His life-giving, life-saving blood!

  22. 17:11 for the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls.
For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for your souls.
    ——
All right this is OT what about the definite one? The never changing everlasting blood that washed our sins away. And saved us?
    JESUS🙌🙌🙌 thank you Jesus!!!!
    For that precious blood.
In his name; I apply HIS blood on everything that I’ll do today.
I apply his blood over my house, I apply his blood over Tony, my children, our house, our finances, our hearts, our bedrooms.
    Hallelujah 🙌🙌🙌🙌

  23. 2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,

Commands….. everything GOD says to do is a command, it’s not a maybe, if you feel like it, or whenever i get to it….. its a must!!! Our disobedience unto GOD prevents us from many blessings, some we never see or know about because of a disobedience unto THE ONE TRUE LIVING GOD!!!

  24. I have provided the blood for you to make atonement for your lives on the Altar; it is the blood, the life, that makes atonement.

Blood is not merely the conduit of nutrients to keep the body alive; but the blood, -itself-, is-and-contains LIFE. Jesus endured the death of the cross to pay the penalty of sin (…the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23). His blood was poured out as an offering for our sin. He embraced death so we might embrace life.

Then He rose from the dead giving the promise of a resurrection to us also. Not only can we through His death on the Cross find life, but through the Resurrection we can find eternal life! There is only one avenue to escape death and find life: The power of the Blood of Jesus Christ! That is the message the world needs to hear.

  25. Throughout Leviticus we’ve often read, tell the people this, command the people this, and so forth. Which got me thinking, Moses and Aaron had great submission and obedience. They simply trusted in whatever the Lord said, and shared what was commanded.

Yet, today, we are asked to share the gospel of Jesus, and we explain excuses of why we can’t. Time, location or lack of effort the excuses are endless.

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Why not practice the same submission and obedience as Moses and Aaron, simply do what Jesus has asked of us. Imagine what great things would be done in His Name!

  26. Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”

“For It Is The BLOOD That Maketh An Atonement For The Soul”
    Romans 5:8-11 says…
    8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
    9) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
    10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
    11) And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Because JESUS died on the cross and shed HIS BLOOD for us, we are now justified, we are now reconciled to God, and we have now received the atonement.
    Thank You JESUS!!

Also Leviticus 17:16 says, “But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.”
This is why it is so important to be Baptized in JESUS name for the remission of sins, because if we don’t, we will bear our iniquities, and we will continue to live in our trespasses and sins. It takes the BLOOD of JESUS and being Baptized in JESUS name to be fulled cleansed of our sins.
    Thank You JESUS!!

  27. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Jesus gave is life, his blood to make this atonement, to buy back what was lost in the Garden of Eden-direct communion and relationship with God. When it says the life of the flesh is in the blood, it says so much. In our blood are so many components to keep us well-the blood carries our white blood cells which fights infection, it carries oxygen and food to nourish the cells through the red blood cells and transports carbon dioxide out…and so much more! Now compare what our blood does for the flesh to what His blood does for the soul! By his stripes he were healed, his blood washed away our sins and does so much more when applied to our lives, then-he sees us through his perfect blood. I’m thankful for the blood that washes white as snow!

  28. I am washed in the water

16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.

The essentials of getting to heaven are clear and the same for everyone. You must be baptized in the name of Jesus! The one who died for you is the one who will wash your sins away. It’s hard to explain to someone who has never been baptized how the natural water cleanses your soul. But when you experience it yourself you can’t deny the weight that is lifted off. That sin that would be haunting you is forever gone and you are clean. Just as the leper cleansed and invited back into the camp, I am washed by the water and invited into the Kingdom Of God.

  29. “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying, What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp, And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:1-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is an order and a pattern for the people of Israel to follow. There’s a big price to pay for convenience. David said he wouldn’t offer the Lord that which cost him nothing. We must be committed to the commission of the Kingdom.

  30. Leviticus 17

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,

3 What man soever there be of the house of Israel, that killeth an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that killeth it out of the camp,

4 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

5 To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they offer in the open field, even that they may bring them unto the Lord, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the Lord.

    • So in Leviticus Chapter 17 it’s talking about Aaron and the Children of Israel and this man from the house of Israel killing these animals from the camp lamb or goat then it’s talking about offerings of the tabernacle and blood that this man cut from his people then it’s talking about the children of Israel being offered the open field and it’s talking about the congregation of the tabernacle and the peace offerings

  31. Levitico 17

  32. 13 And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
    Leviticus 17:13-16

This respect for blood of animals should make us consider how we regard the blood of Jesus. If, under the Old Covenant, the blood of animals was to be respected, what of the precious blood of Jesus which makes a New Covenant?

“Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  33. The place of sacrifice; the value of blood

    1. A place of sacrifice, vv. 1-6.
    2. The offense of worship hides the goat,
    3. Offering a sacrifice in the tent of meeting
    4. The obligation not to eat blood, vv. 10-16

    A place of sacrifice
“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and tell them: This is what the Lord has commanded, saying:”

These instructions were not only for Moses and Aaron, but also for the sons of Aaron and for the whole nation. It is clear that God was entering people’s private lives. Not only had the difference between pure and impure animals been marked in Chapter 11, but now the rules according to which people would eat clean animals would be written. The lives of His people would have to be different from those of the pagans who lived around them

  34. 14 For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

I can understand how eating meat that is not fully cooked can pose a health problem especially in their time. They did not have the kind of access to medical care and antibiotics that we do today. Their is always a reason why God wants things done in a certain order. He knows whats best for us even when we don’t understand it. If we trust in him we will not lean onto our own understanding and he will lead us in the right direction.

  35. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Its all in the blood. The life of life and the life of the soul all is in the blood. To seek after His Kingdom, we must know that the power is in the name of Jesus and the power is in the blood.

  36. What can wash away my sin?
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

    Refrain

    Oh! precious is the flow
    That makes me white as snow;
    No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

For my pardon, this I see,
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my cleansing this my plea,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

    Refrain

    Nothing can for sin atone,
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

    Refrain

This is all my hope and peace,
    Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
    This is all my righteousness,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

    Refrain

    Now by this I’ll overcome—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus,
Now by this I’ll reach my home—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

    Refrain

    Glory! Glory! This I sing—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus,
All my praise for this I bring—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

  37. “for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the Lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible. That is why I have said to the people of Israel, ‘You must never eat or drink blood—neither you nor the foreigners living among you.’”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
I know it was the blood that saved me..

  38. 11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

The blood of Jesus was shed across the alter for our souls.
    THANK YOU JESUS!!!

  39. 4 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

Could you imagine, being cut off from everyone and everything that you ever knew?

God was trying to be polite here and not call out the culprit, but with grace and love, bring them back. Many times he does that with me too

  40. 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

He gave his life shedding his blood that we may have life more abundantly in Christ Jesus. Healing is in the body, and life is in the blood.

  41. 6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord.

God is looking for a acceptable offering that will send up a sweet smell to Him. When we do not put Him first we send up a sour smelling offering that is offensive to Him. Let us learn to not offer up the leftovers but the sweet offering that He is worthy off

  42. 16 But if he wash them not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.

If you can’t keep yourself clean or those things brought before the Lord clean then you beat the consequences and your own iniquity.

    in·iq·ui·ty
    /iˈnikwədē/
    noun
1 immoral or grossly unfair behavior.

  43. 6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the Lord.

The priest Aaron was given instruction by Moses that God gave him to do. It’s said by God and the priest is to make sure that it’s preached. His blood is what washes our sins. The sacrifices you make to please God are not overlooked he knows your intentions. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. Keep holy and give God a sacrifice that’s pleasing to him daily.

  44. Thou shalt not kill—and don’t drink/ have blood. God gives and takes life. We should allow him to be the only one, but if you kill to eat, give part to God. Also the drinking/taking of blood, God receives blood as sacrifice and gives it for life. It’s not ours to tie for sacrifice or life. He is a jealous God.

  45. 11 for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the LORD.

And who was the one sacrificed on the altar, Jesus! We have been purified by the blood of Jesus.

  46. And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice, And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the Lord ; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.
    Leviticus 17:8‭-‬9 KJV

Just like a parent teaches their child how to avoid making mistakes, God set up boundaries for His people not to find themselves in the same predicament of worshipping false gods. I thank God for His unconditional love and for PMS hurting such a high value on accountability.
