Leviticus 23

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord‘s passover.

And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the Lord.

13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.

14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.

17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord.

18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the Lord, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the Lord.

19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.

21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.

29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.

35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

38 Beside the sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the Lord.

39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lordseven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

  1. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Lord, I pray that I have taught my children to love the things of God more than the pleasures of this world. I am so blessed that my parents and my Pastor growing up taught me the importance and reverence for the House of God. So many have lost their way and there is no good old fashioned fear of God! It’s time we stand and be counted on the Lord’s side.

  2. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

    God speaks and man declare.

  3. Verses 1-2 AMP “The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The appointed times (established feasts) of the Lord which you shall proclaim as holy convocations—My appointed times are these:”. Heard this anywhere lately? Yes, Lord to your will and your way. The Lord has set appointed times and it is so important not to miss the opportunities that are presented to us. Pastor answered the question that was presented to him on Western Day and it is now time to help our leaders willingly as we learned in Sunday School last week.

  4. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

Working is fine, as long as we make room for God and keep him first.

  5. 3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

with all of the scriptures on commandments that are repeated in the New testament, the only commandment that is not repeated by Jesus is the Sabbath. But God still has designed our bodies to need rest. Personally I wholeheartedly believe that every individual needs to have one day a week where they set aside time to let their bodies rest. Our lives infinitely thrive more whenever we take time to rest after working for a certain amount of time. We may not be bound by the law of the old testament but we are taught to respect our bodies as temples and as such treat give as needed. It’s not only important to our physical well-being but our spiritual and mental well-being that we take time to rest and honor the Lord God Almighty

  6. 43. That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

We must make sure that future generations know what God has done for us and what He can do for them, if they will let Him.

If we could find a way
    To preserve our faith
    So those who follow us
See the price that was paid
    Then maybe when they question
What it’s gonna take to survive
They’ll find the strength to carry on
    In what we leave behind

    So I won’t bend and I won’t break
And I won’t water down my faith
    I won’t compromise
    In a world of desperation
What has been I cannot change
    But for tomorrow and today
    I must be a light
    For future generations
    -4Him

    • A song forgotten
      I won’t bend I won’t break
      For future generations
      So important
If each generation truly lived with the love of God and His precepts how spiritual stronger would each generation be
Thank you for the reminder and for the example of living a Christian consistency life style

  7. Leviticus 23 : 6 [Amp] On the fourteenth day of the first month is the Feast of Unleaved Bread to the Lord; for seven days you shall eat Unleavened bread.
[ 1 Cor : 5-7 ] Purge ( clean out) the old leaven that you may be fresh ( new) dough, still uncontamined
( as you are) , for Christ, our Passover ( Lamb) , has been sacrificed. Look what has done , Look what Lord has, done , He healed my body , He touch my mind he saved me just in time .I going to praise
Name .Your my God .his name.

  8. For seven days you must live outside in little shelters. All native-born Israelites must live in shelters. This will remind each new generation of Israelites that I made their ancestors live in shelters when I rescued them from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:42-43‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Never forget where the Lord has brought you from. If the Lord saved your family generations back or if you are the first to come and know truth – never forget where the Lord has brought you from! Thank You Jesus for saving me!!

  9. This will remind each new generation of Israelites that I made their ancestors live in shelters when I rescued them from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”

    What if……..?

What if someone who was delivered from drugs and continued to serve the Lord had to stay in a rehab for a week? My thought on this is…the further we get in this life of servitude, blessing, promises, and provision….How much time do we actually take to honor God for where He brought us from?

  10. Leviticus 23

3 ‘For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation (calling together). You shall not do any work [on that day]; it is the Sabbath of the Lord [a]wherever you may be.

Controversial topics will always continue through the ages of time. Coming together for worship a time set aside. Publicly and privately. The Bible says to forsake not the assembly together the more we see the day approaching…….unity fellowship worship there is strength in numbers. Set aside a time personally and publicly to keep the Sabbath. And hopefully your life will not be the only Bible sone people read. If it is though what are we saying. Keep the Sabbath or neglect it.

    Matthew 11:28
    New Living Translation
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest

Hear the blessed Savior calling the oppressed,
    “Oh, ye heavy-laden, come to Me and rest;
Come, no longer tarry, I your load will bear,
Bring Me every burden, bring Me every care.”
    Refrain:
    Come unto Me, I will give you rest;
    Take My yoke upon you, hear Me and be blest;
    I am meek and lowly, come and trust My might;
Come, My yoke is easy, and My burden’s light.
Are you disappointed, wand’ring here and there,
Dragging chains of doubt and loaded down with care?
Do unholy feelings struggle in your breast?
Bring your case to Jesus—He will give you rest.
Stumbling on the mountains dark with sin and shame,
    Stumbling toward the pit of hell’s consuming flame;
By the pow’rs of sin deluded and oppressed,
Hear the tender Shepherd, “Come to Me and rest.”
Have you by temptation often conquered been,
Has a sense of weakness brought distress within?
    Christ will sanctify you, if you’ll claim His best;
In the Holy Spirit, He will give you rest.

  11. The feast of Passover occurred yearly on the fourteenth of Nisan (about March or April). It commemorated Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and reminded them that God spared the firstborn of the Israelites. The Passover is the foundation for the Lords Supper (Matt 26:17-30) and signifies the coming Marriage Supper of the Lamp Luke 22:16-18,

  12. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    Hebrews 10:25 NLT states-
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

As the Lord gave Moses the instructions for the feasts or as Leviticus states a holy convocation for the children of Israel. They were instructed on when to work and when to rest. They were give the instructions on how to prepare for each feast and when exactly how to celebrate them.

We have to have the attitude today that pleases the Lord in all we do for the kingdom of God. We have to follow the word of God and utilize it to assemble ourselves together. We have to pray together for God to gives us unity and purpose. We must not allow division to come and separate us from the glory of God. Seek first the kingdom of God to establish a discipline to be knowledgeable and wise in handling the harvest of souls. We have to live the kingdom and love the souls that God sends us.

  13. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
    Leviticus 23:3 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.23.3.KJV

The day of test was needed, and God wants them to work and then rest, as he created the world and the Universe, and then rested, nobody can work on that day, you ate and gave God his time, That’s what’s great about Sundays we go to church, eat and its family time, ,work again for another 6 days and do it all over, go to church and eat, and relax!

    First the Kingdom
Rest is good, God is Good

  14. 40 On the first day gather branches from magnificent treesl—palm fronds, boughs from leafy trees, and willows that grow by the streams. Then celebrate with joy before the LORD your God for seven days.

Celebrate for with for 7 days! With God on our side, we should celebrate everyday with joy, praise and thanksgiving. No matter how bad of a day you are having, give praise and give thanks to God.

  15. 27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

Afflict – cause pain or suffering to; affect or trouble.

Atonement – reparation or expiation for sin.

Expiation – the act of making amends or reparation for guilt or wrongdoing; atonement.

Have you ever repaired something that had shattered? Let it be a vase, or a wooden chair, etc. you will always see a visible mark of where it broke. That’s what the children of Israel did. They had to offer a sacrifice offering, something that cost them a lot, to bring for the atonement or repairing of their relationship with God.
Jesus Christ came and gave His Precious Blood for the remission of our sins.
Remission – the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty.
The cancer Center definition is this – remission (reh-MIH-shun) A decrease in or disappearance of signs and symptoms of cancer. In partial remission, some, but not all, signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared. In complete remission, all signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared, although cancer still may be in the body.

I like the word disappeared!!!! That means there is NO TRACE!!!! That’s what CHRIST did with our sins He made them disappeared without a trace! As far as the East is from the west, never to be mentioned again!!! So when the enemy come to whisper our past into our ears all we have to say is “ITS UNDER CHRIST BLOOD” . The Isrealites has to offer a sacrifice every year to be considered clean of sin but the sin never disappeared, it was just repaired!!! Jesus Christ our sacrificial Lamb is the only one that can wash every sin away and leave nothing that showed that the sin ever existed !!!! Thank you Jesus for your blood!!! Thank you for your forgiveness!! I can not thank you enough for making me NEW!!!

  16. Growing up in Goatneck, we harvested hay. When my grandfather would cut the hay, he would leave a generous amount of uncut grass around the edges, corners and trees or other obstacles within each field. To me it looked wasteful. However, he taught me the biblical principle of not harvesting the corners. While we did not have poor people or widows harvesting the uncut grass, the cattle were allowed to graze the freshly cut pastures and treat themselves to these uncut corners.

I predict in biblical times, you could tell how generous a man was by the size of the corners of his field. He could leave little corners and still be in compliance with the law or he could round them off big and wide and leave a huge amount in the field. The size of a man’s heart could be determined by the size of his corners. A person’s generosity was very public and was on display for the whole community to see. Big field, little corners, “he’s stingy”; little field, big corners, “he’s a generous man”.

  17. iLove the Kingdom
As I was reading this book of the law, the thought came to my mind…”I wonder how many Israelites in the 21st century follow this law that God gave to Moses. Seriously though, if we would have lived back in the days of these laws, I believe I would have tried as hard as possible to keep them. With that being said, the Jewish people have rejected Jesus as the Lamb without blemish and so they are literally still bound to the law. As I researched the results, I was shocked to learn there are very few Jews who keep (or try to keep) the law. In the Jewish constitution they even have the so called separation of state and religion.

  18. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord‘s passover.

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

  19. “The Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as official days for holy assembly. “You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We have such a great privilege to be able to come directly to our Father. Where we can be in His presence will be filled with His spirit to give us rest. There’s several scripture references that refers the Holy Ghost as our rest.

“For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭28:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“”Come to me, all of you who are tired and are carrying heavy loads. I will give you rest.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  20. Leviticus 23:1-3 (CEV)
    1) The LORD told Moses
    2) To say to the community of Israel; I have chosen certain times for you to come together and worship me.
    3) You have six days when you can do your work, but the seventh day of each week is holy because it belongs to me. No matter where you live, you must rest on the Sabbath and come together for worship. This law will never change.

We are reminded in Exodus 20:8, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
It is a time for us to come together and worship the LORD. A time for us to find rest and be refreshed. We find this in the Holy Ghost. “11) For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12) To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:…” (Isaiah 28:11-12).

    Thank You JESUS!!

  21. 43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Some holidays are celebrated with different traditions like white elephant, secret Santa or Chinese Christmas gift giving. While some celebrate Kwanzaa or Hanukkah we recognize Christmas. God wants the Israelites to follow certain feasts to gather and offer sacrifices. When they do this it reminds them of how God brought them out of Egypt.

He brought us out of Egypt when he died upon the cross. Jesus came to save us from the sin that lead to death. He was the perfect sacrifice. Where sin separated man from God, the blood of Jesus opened the door for repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost. They held feasts and gave offerings. We give offerings and tithe still but also, offer of ourselves to His will, lead by His Spirit.

  22. In all your dwellings
I love when I see and the LORD SPAKE
rather it’s good or bad I need Jesus voice.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein : it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
[9] And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
[20] And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the Lord , with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.
[42] Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord .

    2 Corinthians 5:1 (KJV)
1 For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

  23. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings

Not only are we to seek him first, we are also to set aside the 1st day of week to seek him and be prepared to meet with him-a holy convocation.

  24. the word of God talk a lot about laziness and being a slugger in the book of Proverbs . A church that is growing is a church the is working….
But here in this passage the Lord makes it clear about respecting and not taking it lightly whe n.
he wants his people to rest, to set apart, to have Him as the center , to be consecrated,
I believe that if we obey this just like EVERYTHING ELSE on
this book, He will give us more strength to do the work that He wants us to do.
    ( spiritual strength
    Physical strength , mental …..)
    I will see Him
I will READ HIS word daily

    Word
    Heart
    Mouth.

  25. AMP – 38 This is in addition to the [weekly] Sabbaths of the Lord, and in addition to your gifts and all your vowed offerings and all your freewill offerings, which you give to the Lord.

Everything they were instructed to bring as “offerings” unto the Lord were in addition to their weekly celebration of worship on the Sabbath, which included their vowed offerings “tithes” and their regular offerings.

You can never out give God. The more you give out of a cheerful heart, the more He gives back to you. Does it all come in one form? Absolutely not, but it all counts. Every day I have good health, everyday I awake with breathe in my body, every day I have a roof over my head and a vehicle to drive, food in my pantry, clothes on my back, my family, my friends – everyday I reap the benefit of giving to God cheerfully.

  26. 33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

What resonates in this portion of scripture is the order and clear distinction of God’s instruction and command, a God of detail and exact precision. The instruction that was charged unto Moses by God is to me a clear indication that God takes note of all details. As a leader to the Children of Israel, it is of admiration that Moses was so connected and in sincere connection with God to communicate the order and instruction of God to his people.

It reminds me, as I sat in service last night it was refreshing to hear the voice of a Shepard (Pastor) relay a message that served as a good reminder to pull all things into perspective and reflect on the most vital of necessities. Directing back to instruction and order of God, thankful for that. Truth be told in the middle of the most fierce and dark battles that one must confront it can become easy to semi lose focus. A smile and a salute is only a cover while a battle rages that is unknown to anyone. Sometimes you must smile to the soothsayer and to a few smirks, but It is refreshing knowing that the word of God is the only thing that can sustain, and it has sustained me to this day. My prayer is that as these clear distinctive instructions and commands of God are given, that his word would be alive inside of me. As the writer spoke ” Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom”. Or as Job declared ” neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips, I have esteemed the words of his mouth more then my necessary food” For the words that he spoke, they are spirit and they are life. As the potter works with clay, my prayer is that I still be pliable while his word is applied.

  27. Firstfruits

10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

We must bring our firstfruits to the Lord. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God

  28. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    KINGDOM ECONOMY

9 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

The creative order of GOD is for reciprocal support. The earth is watered from the water on the earth. The seed is planted from the seed of the earth. Man is born of man on the earth. These are GOD principals.

The same is true of finances or resources of the KINGDOM. The Harvest or resource that GOD gives to his people are to be reinvested into HIS Kingdom. GOD has established a plan to support the Ministry and also to support the Temple.

FIRST THE KINGDOM is demonstrated by several actions. Seeking GOD First obviously begins with our desires. Then followed by our actions. First meaning “Most Valued” place or the beginning of something. When we bring FIRSTFruits of our resources to GOD we esablish that HIS Kingdom is FIRST in our finances. The insures and establishes KINGDOM ECONOMY.

FIRSTFRUITS – 1: the earliest gathered fruits offered to the Deity in acknowledgment of the gift of fruitfulness
2 : the earliest products or results of an endeavor

It is natural for our FIRST investment each pay period to be our reinvestment into the KINGDOM ECONOMY.

  29.  That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever. If it was wrong back in grandma’s day and it is in the bible and it is still wrong for the generations coming up today. The generations today have to fight more stuff in the world than we did back in the day that is why we have to hild up this younger generation in prayer so they don’t fall for the devils tricks.

  30. 4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord‘s passover.

A definition I found for The Lord’s Passover:
“Passover was meant to commemorate Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, and with the sacrifice of the lamb for each family, show how the blood of the lamb averted the judgment of God for each Israelite family.“

When Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross, He become our Passover. When His blood is received and applied, our sins are forgiven.

“Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  31. 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

  33. As pastor had said Wed. night, we must seek the word first as we must obey the Lord. Keep the sabbath holy! Heart second and third mouth. In Lev. 23 it talks of what is expected of them to obey. We must remember this in todays world, obey the word.

  34. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord‘s passover.

  35. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

Who said that church was boring? And if it is to you then you’re doing it wrong. In previous chapters of Leviticus we read ordinances and laws which set boundaries and protect the people. And now we say that God wants his people to rejoice and have feasts. He didnt create us to live a sad and broken life but rather equips us through His Word to be an overcomer. Yes trouble and situations will arise but in His Word he tells us to take heart for he has overcome the world. There us something about praise and rejoicing that He likes and wants His people to partake in. The hard part is drowning the voice of your problems and leaving it to God. Church should be a victorious place, an holy convocation.

  36. 22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

Here God teaches us to care for the poor and the stranger. They are not forgotten.
Even when we think we dont have much, there is always someone that has less.
Especially during this time of year 🎁 lets keep them in prayer.

  37. Feasts and the Sabbath
Leviticus Chapter 23 begins with the establishment of holy times. … However, God said these feasts must not take priority over the Sabbath. All business must cease on the Sabbath. He established the Sabbath as a day of rest and a day of spiritual relief from sin.

Several issues are addressed in Leviticus Chapter 23, including the feasts of the Lord, the Sabbath, Passover and the offering of first fruits. It goes on to discuss other feasts and the making of amends with atonement.

  38. God does things in order, we are held accountable for our own actions. It’s for our own good even though we may not understand why, as long as we continue to make a genuine sacrifice that’s pleasing to the Lord is what matters most.

  39. Remember where you came from

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

These booths were a symbol of the tents that they lived in when they came out of Egypt. The Israelites would leave their homes and make theses booths out of branches and stay there for 7 days. Living in this booth for seven days would no doubt make them appreciate their homes and all that God had done for them. It is important that we remember and give thanks for all that God had brought us out of. I thank God everyday that I am not living like I did before. I thank God that my children are not being raised the way I was. Thanksgiving is coming up. Let us be Thankful to God for all he has done for us.

  40. Leviticus 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feast.

Matthew 11:28,29 Come unto me, all ye that about and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me ; for Iam meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

    Thank you Jesus!!!!

  41. God is a provider. When we’re in need, he know just what is needed for us. It’s important for us as the children of God to trust him. We might not always understand what direction he wants to take us, but if we would just yield to him he can take us further than we could have imagined.

  42. The Day of Atonement

26 The Lord said to Moses, 27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves,[d] and present a food offering to the Lord. 28 Do not do any work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people. 30 I will destroy from among their people anyone who does any work on that day. 31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32 It is a day of sabbath rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”

Thank you Jesus for being the sacrifice for our sins. Not because of something we’ve done but because of your grace and mercy we can go to the Father and have our sins washed. On the day of atonement there was to be no work done. Jesus Paid it all

  43. 39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lordseven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

And on the first day of the seven days shall be a sabbath and the 8th day is a sabbath too. Thank you Jesus for the rest and restoration you give us when we are obedient to your word.

  44. 3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord‘s passover.

6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

God had it planned day by day, and they followed his steps. Now days we barely make time for any one on one time with him, I’m guilty of it. I need to make more time and hold myself accountable. Nobody else is responsible for my relationship with God. Thank you Jesus for hearing me out and for giving me the oppertunity to seek you more.

  45. “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am giving you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.
    LEVITICUS 23:10 AMP

Give His first. So simple yet it is very easy to get distracted by life. I pray we rememeber to give God His first and I thank God for His mercy He extended to me for the period in my life when I didn’t.

  46. 44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.

…And Pastor declares the Word of the Lord to the PoFW, concerning the Feasts; the Feast of Western Day, the Feast of Joyful Toy, the Feast of Friend Day…

  47. 10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:

The tithe belongs to the Lord. The first fruits of our labor should be brought unto Him for the furtherance of his Kingdom.

  48. “And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:40-41‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This reminds me of Palm Sunday. They took the branches and rejoiced before the Lord. It was biblical for them to do that.

  49. 3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

This took me so many years to get to my realization about. A few years ago I put the puzzle pieces together. I used to think that I had to work on Sundays to make ends meet. Or that times had changed since biblical times and that it just wasn’t feasible to go without working Sundays. But when I finally put my foot down in my own life and said First the Kingdom and decided I would no longer sacrifice my Sundays. It was then that we started being blessed and given more than ever before. And I believe it’s because I said, First the Kingdom. Sunday is His day!
