Leviticus 25

And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.

Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.

And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.

And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.

And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.

12 For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

13 In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.

14 And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

15 According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:

16 According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.

17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the Lord your God.

18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

20 And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

22 And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.

23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

24 And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

25 If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.

26 And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;

27 Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.

28 But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

29 And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.

30 And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.

31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.

32 Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.

33 And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

34 But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

35 And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

36 Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

37 Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.

38 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.

39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

40 But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubile.

41 And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.

44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.

46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.

47 And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:

48 After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:

49 Either his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.

50 And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.

51 If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

52 And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubile, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.

53 And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.

54 And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.

55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

  1. The price of redemption.

In these days you would buy and sell one another to pay debts between yourselves. You could be a bond servant for the rest of your life if the jubilee didn’t come during your servitude. If someone on your family could afford to bail you out then you could be free again but your redemption was not cheap. My redemption was not cheap. Jesus himself redeemed my from a dark past where I had many debts to pay. He redeemed me and set me free from this world. His redemption cannot be bought back or reversed once it’s done. I am so glad My redemption is paid in full.

  2. God brought me out of the depths of this world , out of my transgressions, out of my downfalls to raise me up my redeemer thank you Jesus

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God. For the people of Israel belong to me. They are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

    The Surprise Harvest
18-22 “Keep my decrees and observe my laws and you will live secure in the land. The land will yield its fruit; you will have all you can eat and will live safe and secure. Do I hear you ask, ‘What are we going to eat in the seventh year if we don’t plant or harvest?’ I assure you, I will send such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years. While you plant in the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and continue until the harvest of the ninth year comes in.

The first admonition is to keep
Keep my decrees and observe my laws and you will live secure in the land.
God has set principles for us to live by . Blessings come from submission and obedience . God will provide physically and spiritually. I do believe and have been believing there are people from other religious groups who are looking for more than just a sermon. I believe they are hungering for truth. Not just one but a multitude. The field is what into harvest. There are going to be so many in this harvest we are going to be busy with assimilation busy nourishing. So we the body must be prepared in our own spiritual walk ready for land is getting ready to produce a great crop….,unity peace blessings . Year of Jubilee a return of family , believers , backsliders a Harvest .

Thank you God for what is getting ready to happen!

  4. Until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store. Keep the promise close to your heart 🎯

[9] Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
[11] Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
    12] And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

  5. “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you have entered the land I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath rest before the Lord every seventh year.
    Leviticus 25:2 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/lev.25.2.N

The Sabbath is Holy as God called it. There are so many benefits to allowing REST to be part of every aspect of life. When we rest there is restoration and balance. When our fields rest nutrients is replenished. When we are cooking we allow meat to rest it retains it’s juices!! Rest is crucial!!

  6. 18“If you want to live securely in the land, follow my decrees and obey my regulations. 19Then the land will yield large crops, and you will eat your fill and live securely in it. 20But you might ask, ‘What will we eat during the seventh year, since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year?’ 21Be assured that I will send my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land will produce a crop large enough for three years. 22When you plant your fields in the eighth year, you will still be eating from the large crop of the sixth year. In fact, you will still be eating from that large crop when the new crop is harvested in the ninth year. NLT

the Lord speaking to Moses on the strict observances of the land in which he gave the Israelites. He told Moses that if they wanted to live securely in the land they had to follow His decrees and regulations. We can see this style of discipline throughout our lives each day. Every job and workplace has policies and guidelines that we have to follow in order to operate.

I wander sometimes how people that claim to be Holy Ghost filled and baptized in the name of Jesus, will follow the rules and regulations to work a job but can’t follow the instructions and guidance of the word of God to be apart of the kingdom. We have to realize that this world is temporary and our placement after this world is eternal. We have to strive not to succeed in this world only, but to be successful in the kingdom of God. Remember the scripture tells us that we can not serve two masters. You will either love one and hate the other.

If we want to truly be blessed by the harvest, then we need to heed the word in which God guides us. Just like the Israelites, they had to obey the commandments or they would not be secured in the promise land. Seek first the kingdom of God and let him bring the harvest.

  7. 42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

The Bible has many different topics which cover all the different ways that we are supposed to be separated from the world and be holy. Of those topics God has continued to impress the word of God upon us on how we treat each other. All the way into the Gospels and the Epistles. We are to treat each other like a family with love and respect and honor. The Bible continues to give us further instructions on how we are to deal with individual situations but it all comes down to us being united for the cause of Christ. We will be judged by how we treat each other and how we forgive and loved one another.

Hebrews 13:1 let brotherly Love continue.

  8. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.

    3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

  9. Jubilee Year
19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20 And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

God has a plan to let the land rest every 7th hear so it isnt overworked and will continue to be fruitful. Old timer Farmers used to always do this and let the ground alone. God blesses when we obey him and provides our every need when we do!

  10. Leviticus 25:18-22
    18) Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
    19) And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
    20) And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
    21) Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
    22) And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of the old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.

If the children of Israel obeyed God, and did his statutes (lived according to His Law) and kept His judgments, and do them, then they would life in safety, and God would be their Provider and meet their needs.

SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD and His righteousness (St. Matt. 6:33). When we “SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM,” we should never have to ask, “What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? because our heavenly Father knows that we have need of these things.” (St. Matt. 6:32-32). When we “SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM,” then all these things will be added unto us. When we obey God and live according to His Word and put “HIS KINGDOM FIRST,” then He will be our Provider and meet our needs.

    Thank You JESUS!!!

  11. 23. The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

This reminds us that everything belongs to God. He created everything by His Word and we are just pilgrims here that borrow His things for a short while.

    Colossians 1:
    16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

    17. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

  12. 17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the Lord your God.

18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

There is safety and protection when we follow God’s instructions!

  13. iLove the Kingdom
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

This had to be a difficult year for Israel. Think about it…a whole year the land was required to rest. This had to be a test of faith for the nation. Sometimes God puts us in difficult situations but his Love endures forever

  14. 54 And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.

55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

I am so thankful that I have been redeemed by my Lord Jesus Christ!!! He paid it in full with each drop of His Precious Blood!!! Thank you Jesus!!! Waiting for the trumpets to sound in His return the Year of Jubilee!!!!

  15. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.

    3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

This called Israel to a great deal of faith – they had to trust God that He would provide enough in the six years to see them through the seventh.

  16. Thank God grants rest
Leviticus 25:1-2 And the Lord spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying, “speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord.”

These special years called for special behavior
They gave the people a time of rest.
They gave the people an opportunity for redemption.
They gave the people time for reflection. They gave the people time for a reward and repair.
They gave the people time for relationships.
They gave the people a time to refocus.

  17. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    STEWARDS

23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

The LORD instructs here to not sell or make gain from what is HIS. The Land is HIS and current Israel has a command to protect that land for HIM. This make them STEWARDS over what belongs to GOD.

  18. 21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

When the Lord commands a blessing it goes beyond the natural ability. They were to plant and the harvest would be enough supply for 3 years. The blessings that God speaks into our lives is far greater than anything we can ever accomplish. If God before us, who can be against us?

  19. 25:18 wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgements and do them, and ye shall feel in the land in safety.
    ————
God had said in His word, that he will never leave us nor forsake us. 👍
All right, but He does make it clear and remind us to obey, no matter what.
We are VICTORIOUS if we do his ordinances.
    God is Love.
And it my love toward him that moves and stirs. My heart to keep on keeping on.

  20. “If any Israelites have not been bought back by the time the Year of Jubilee arrives, they and their children must be set free at that time. For the people of Israel belong to me. They are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25:54-55‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We have been bought with a high price! We are the Lord’s. Thankful for our redemption

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  21. 18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

    O how He Loves us!
All His creations are beautiful. His promises stand and are never brocken. Likewise, we need to serve Him the way He wants us to with all the details included, they all matter.

  22. And if ye shall say: what shall we eat the seventh year ? Behold, we shall not sow and gather in our increase
    ——-
    Seek first the KINGDOM!
    No worries😊
    Trust and obey!

  23. For the people of Israel belong to me. They are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25:55‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God will always take care of His people and this chapter explains that in many aspects. In a time of rest, God provides. In a time of trouble, God gives opportunity for restoration. He is a good God and we should never worry!

  24. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.
    3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.

In a world and socity that runs on caffeine and pursuit of the next dollar, we have become a world that runs 24/7. We do commerce at a speed that has never been done before. However we must step back an analys if this is a Kingdom principle? Which according to the Word of God, it is not. We must stand for those principles and take a day for the Lord at least/minimum once a week.
My prayer is that in order for us to seek ye first the Kingdom of God, we must seek after Him First.

  25. So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety.
God promised that if Israel obeyed Him, He would provide so much on the sixth year, that they will not only be supplied for the seventh year when they give the land rest, but they will also be eating the produce of the sixth year some three years later.

Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year.
If we obey God even when it doesn’t make sense – we can trust He will provide our every need. If we seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, all those practical things will be added unto us.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
    Matthew 6:33

  26. Leviticus 25 : 54-55 [Amp] And if he is not redeemed during these years and by these means, then he shall go free in the Year of Jubilee, he and his children with Him.
[55] For to Me the Israelites are servants, My servants, whom I brought fourth out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God. God will always take good care of his children no matter what. Seek him first before anything else. He is my God. Thank you Jesus.

  27. 10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.

  28. Leviticus In Leviticus Chapter 25,
God sets out instructions about allowing the land to rest every seventh year. He also offers guidelines for the Year of Jubilee, being fair to neighbors, and laws concerning property.

  29. Our Lord and saviour is a just God. If we pray and obey his word we shouldn’t worry about food, shelter etc… When we do right by Jesus he takes care of his children. He heals us also. Matthew 8:2-4, John 5:1-23,Matthew 9:20-22, Luke 6:6-11

  30. 54 And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.
55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

I know I would have a hard time trying to remember and keeping all these straight

  31. 55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

To worship YOU i live!!! To worship YOU i live , i live to worship YOU!!!

  32. “Show your fear of God by not treating them harshly.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭25:43‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How you treat others will show the God in you!

  33. For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

The Lord brought us out of darkness into the Light of His word now we are His people. We are His sheep His servants here on earth. He lives in us to expand His kingdom here on earth. Let us not see the word servant and negative the reality I am a willing servant of Christ I will lay down my life for His service

  34. And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant: But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubilee: And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
    Leviticus 25:39‭-‬41 KJV

God didnt want the Children to be accountable to any one but hiim, and Instead of certain oneshsving power over their own, he said to have mercy and hire them, pay them decent wages, but when the year of jubilee comes, all agreements are out the window. Send him home to his family!

    First the Kingdom
    God is good

  35. In the seventh year the last is to rest. Just like witch man, God said it needed rest as well. For six years work and year seven is for resting. We were originally formed from the dust of the earth (Adam). We need to follow the plan and rest on the seventh day.

  36. 38 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

For He has brought us all from a past of sin, a land of bondage, an undoubtedly time of past mistakes and times that we do not want to go back to. So why do we complain when times now go a little bad, did He not bring us out of Egypt?? Why do we complain when times get tough and we have a financial strain, did He not bring us out of Egypt?? Why do we complain when He decides to send a storm our way, a storm He knows good and well we can make it through. It’s there to make us stronger, but yet we complain, did He not bring us out of Egypt?? When things come our way we must remember. . . “I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.” Yes, life is tough and things do come our way that we don’t like but the other side is so much more rewarding than staying where we are at.

  37. 55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

God says we are his servants and he brought us out of Egypt. We and Everything belongs to him.

  38. For the Israelites are My servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold in a slave sale.
    Leviticus 25:42 AMP

I rejoice in knowing that Jesus paid the price for me to freely serve Him!!!

  39. Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the Lord your God.
When we think of fear we don’t think of it quite the way its used in these scriptures. We think of scared we think something is after us but really in this manner its different. Yes fear God, fear him for what he’s able to do but fear him also to where you want nothing but him. It means to be in alarm, so be alarmed to what God is doing. FEAR him and watch what he will do. I imagine that this fear could be a type of respect.

  40. 17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the Lord your God.
18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

In reading this portion of verses a few words stand out to me – statutes – judgements
Often times it is referenced in scripture –
The judgements of God – and statute of God

Each has a significant meaning I would certainly believe these were placed for a purpose and a reason.
After seeking in further study I find it interesting as to what these really are

    Statute:
Essentially I found this to be an ordinance of God, it is a limit/boundary. IT is also to be noted as a decree or enactment of God. It represents a limit set for his people. A statute is a decree and requirement that in detail described how to live in obedience to our creator.

I ask myself what type of impact would this have on any anyone’s walk with God? Living for God is not just performing a mechanical service to God because as in my case my mother & father raised me in this and told me serving God was the way to go. Or because my pastor pumped and primed me.

God who is undeniably gracious and who’s tender mercies never fail, it is he that provides me with limits, he sets a decree, he amplifies THE WHY I should not do that which is not right in his sight.

It is my opinion that when serving God is executed out of high reverence, and understanding his prerequisites and taking heed to his limits/boundaries that he sets, the question is no longer “Why can I NOT”?

IT becomes more like he that is Holy, he that is just, he that is pure he thought of me and placed limits and boundaries for my protection. I cannot offend he that is pure and upright, he that is holy and is without fault or blemish. The question ought to become, how can I become more pure before him? How can I please the creator to live upright and without blemish before him? The motive ought not be more of a compromise to worldly things, it ought to be how can I get closer to Jesus Christ.

    Judgements:
Yet again here when he talks about observing his judgements it demonstrates his goodness and kindness to mankind. These are tools that he gave his people to institute and keep as we journey in this Christian walk.

Judgments, this essentially means the process of deciding, a decision in law, justice, ordinance, the legal right or privilege due. In modern terms, our understanding would be that the judgments being referred to tell us how to handle a situation according to Jesus Christ

It would indicate to me the ability to distinguish the proper action to execute based on the wisdom and knowledge given by God on how to handle situations, rather it be an offense, or a wrong doing.

In my persuasion I feel that by following his judgments, the innocent are vindicated and the guilty are responsible for the appropriate restitution afforded to the wronged party.
Finally, I simply like to express it this way the judgement of God serves as a element to be reckoned with. When sin attempts to take possession, or cause one to stumble we can apply the judgment that God allows us to apply and we are then able to decipher the motive thereof and apply the proper judgement seeing that God has already established a decision in law that opposes sin in every way. The judgment of God can be regarded as the application of law established against sin.

When sin knocks on the door, if you meet it with the judgment of God and simply state, the Master that is pure, he that is holy created and set a standard against you, therefore you have no part in my vessel you are not welcomed, a law has been established against you. Sin has no control or power over he that implements and executes the judgement of God.

When I see these certain elements that God provided for us what a responsibility that we possess in our hands. I pray I apply these accordingly in my life.

    What an amazing God –

  41. 55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lordyour God.

We are servants of the most High God and we should serve Him with gladness. He paid the price for our redemption and purchased us with his blood. May we serve Him with joy and and offer to him the best of ourselves.

  42. 39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

God does like for his doing to be undone. When God blesses us, if we are not good stewards and badly invest our blessing and put our selves in financial burdens, God is displeased.

Because the borrower is slave to the lender. He has delivered us from bondage, and for us to place ourselves again under bondage would be to neglect his action over our lives.

  43. 39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

God does like for his doing to be undone. When God blesses us, if we are not good stewards and badly invest our blessing and put our selves in financial burdens, God is displeased.

Because the borrower is slave to the lender. He has delivered us from bondage, and for us to place ourselves again under bondage would be to neglect his action over our lives.

  44. The second part of the chapter, verses 8-55 MSG is captioned “The Fiftieth Year Shall Be a Jubilee for You”. This reminded me of the song that we sing that says:

I have been loosed I’ve been set free
So pardon me a moment while I have a jubilee
The Joy of the Holy Ghost is all over me

How can we not have a jubilee, when the Lord provides above and beyond what we need? We don’t have to worry about “the how”, we just have to be obedient to His commandments. First The Kingdom!
