Leviticus 27

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.

And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.

And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the Lord, all that any man giveth of such unto the Lord shall be holy.

10 He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.

11 And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the Lord, then he shall present the beast before the priest:

12 And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.

13 But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

14 And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the Lord, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.

15 And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his.

16 And if a man shall sanctify unto the Lord some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

17 If he sanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

18 But if he sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be abated from thy estimation.

19 And if he that sanctified the field will in any wise redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

20 And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.

21 But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the Lord, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.

22 And if a man sanctify unto the Lord a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;

23 Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the Lord.

24 In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land did belong.

25 And all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

26 Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the Lord‘s firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the Lord‘s.

27 And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall redeem it according to thine estimation, and shall add a fifth part of it thereto: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.

28 Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord.

29 None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord‘s: it is holy unto the Lord.

31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.

33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

34 These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

  3. 28“However, anything specially set apart for the LORD—whether a person, an animal, or family property—must never be sold or bought back. Anything devoted in this way has been set apart as holy, and it belongs to the LORD.

Again the Lord spake unto Moses and the Lord began to speak of the estimated worth of the people, property, and animals. As it appears everyone and everything has some type of worth before the Lord. Everything or everyone that was considered special before the Lord could not be bought back or sold.

We have to realize that God is the creator and everything on this earth is merely the creation. Everything is special in its own way. We have to understand that if we give ourselves or something for the devotion to the Lord it can not be taken back or given away or even sold. We have to allow God to do what he wants to it. We that are chosen for service for The kingdom of God should know that we have to commit our whole self to God. God will use us and our offerings unto him to further the kingdom. The issue is if we give to God we can not and must not take it back or else we shall be dealt with.

  4. Leviticus 27: 30 [ Amp] And all the tithe of the land, or the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s it is holy to the Lord. The 10 percent of your paycheck belongs to God. God is first before anything else. Praise God for He is so good.

  5. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

The value of keeping your word.
Commitments are big thing’s, it’s saying I’m gonna do whatever takes to get this done. Or it says, no matter what tries to come in my way I’m gonna stick to my word. We live in a world nowadays where someone’s word doesn’t mean so much. Back in the day your word is what you were built by. Your reputation was built by WORD of mouth and people took the WORD of God a lot more serious. Been a we live in a world where someone’s word doesn’t mean anything, that also means we’re gonna face a whole lot of people who aren’t gonna look at the WORD the same as we do. That’s where we come in, we have to be an example and keep our words, vows, commitments we make to set the example for the Lost and the next generation. Keep your word.
    Integrity goes the furthest.

  6. 31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.

For as long as I’ve been tithing God has continue to show me how important it is and has blessed my family and as many times as I read the scripture I’ve never stopped to think that not only is my tithe necessary but it is also holy. We are not only honoring God through our faithfulness and giving but God also sanctifies what we are faithful with.

  7. 26. You may not dedicate a firstborn animal to the LORD, for the firstborn of your cattle, sheep, and goats already belong to him.

    30. One-tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain from the fields or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD and must be set apart to him as holy.

    32. Count off every tenth animal from your herds and flocks and set them apart for the LORD as holy. NLT

The tithe already belongs to God, we are just returning to Him what was His to start with.

For example, if you borrow a bicycle (or four) from your Brother, don’t expect a reward when you return them back to him. 🚲

  8. These are the commands that the Lord gave through Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭27:34‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Specific instructions for God’s people when it came to giving. Value, type, and timing are just a few aspects addressed. But as commands from God, they were expected to be followed. When instruction is given, we are to obey.

  9. In the ERV Version this chapter is broken down into the following captions “Promises are Important” (verses 1-8), “The Value of House” (verses 14-15, “Value of Animals” (verses 16-17), and “Special Gifts” (verses 18-34). They all talk about the value/price that was to be placed upon them: value: 1) the regard that something is held to deserve, the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. 2) a person’s principles or standards of behavior, one’s judgment of what is important in life. 3) estimate the monetary worth of (something), 4) consider (someone or something) to be important or beneficial; have a high opinion of. It is like what Bro. Morgan spoke about last night….your relationship with the Lord, your spouse or whatever your committing to, is going to be whatever you put into it.

  10. The Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate someone to the Lord by paying the value of that person,

A boy between the ages of one month and five years is valued at five shekels of silver; a girl of that age is valued at three shekels of silver.
    Leviticus 27:1‭-‬2‭, ‬6 NLT

    Dedicated
Dedicating our children to God is an investment. We can’t just tell God that were dedicating them and then go about our lives. It is a sacrifice and commitment for all of that child’s life to raise and teach them in the ways of the Lord, cultivating relationship between them and God.

  11. Leviticus 27:30, “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’s: it is holy unto the LORD.”

How often do we hear, “The tithe is the Lord’s. It belongs to Him?”
    At least twice a week.
So, for all those out there who don’t believe in paying your tithes, here it is again written in God’s Word that “The tithe is the Lord’s. It belongs to Him.”
    Don’t rob God. (Malachi 3:8)

  12. Leviticus 27

    26 “‘No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the Lord;

30 “‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord.

    Tithe Already Belongs To God
The first born first fruits already belong to God. Dedication goes beyond the tenth that belongs to God. The tenth is out of obedience the dedication becomes the sacrifice. Whether it be monetary, time , talents. The blessings come in through the sacrifice.

What ever your gifting s are ;God will use them.

So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

  13. 30-33 “A tenth of the land’s produce, whether grain from the ground or fruit from the trees, is God’s. It is holy to God. If a man buys back any of the tenth he has given, he must add twenty percent to it. A tenth of the entire herd and flock, every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod, is holy to God. He is not permitted to pick out the good from the bad or make a substitution. If he dishonestly makes a substitution, both animals, the original and the substitute, become the possession of the Sanctuary and cannot be redeemed.” Msg

    Kjv

I don’t know how how people can say that there is no such thing as a tithe!!! When the word says it clearly. They can’t say that they don’t understand when even the message version states it so clearly. It is time to open our eyes and ears and do as the Lord has commanded

  14. iLove the Kingdom
Lev 27:18 But if the field is dedicated after the Year of Jubilee, the priest will assess the land’s value in proportion to the number of years left until the next Year of Jubilee. Its assessed value is reduced each year.

Wow, I never really saw this until today. I had always wondered about the year of Jubilee. Everyone got set free, land was returned to its original owner. But in my mind I thought… why not sell the land right before the time of Jubilee get all the money, then the land would be returned…But it didn’t work like that. The land decreased value every year and thus made it fair. Owning land this way made it more of a lease in what we would think about it today.

The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. God aint taking back what he gave you, even if you “sell out”. The year of Jubilee is coming and backsliders will be restored in the land!

  15. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

Are your vows to the Lord just mere words full of empty promises? Or a demonstration of your total commitment to Him?

  16. 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.
3 And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
    Leviticus 27:2-3

Persons were assigned a value according to their age and general usefulness to society, especially in an agricultural society, there was a definite sense in which a man between 20 and 60 more “valuable” than a child one month to five years old. No one was prohibited from fulfilling a vow of consecration because they did not have enough money, if they were poor, the priests would be flexible with the valuation.

Everyone can give their life to the LORD!!! there are none who are too small, or too insignificant, or too useless. God wants to use each and every one of us.

  17. ““However, anything specially set apart for the Lord —whether a person, an animal, or family property—must never be sold or bought back. Anything devoted in this way has been set apart as holy, and it belongs to the Lord.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭27:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What a privilege to be called a child of God. We are called to be holy for He is holy. We are set apart we are a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, and we are called holy. And nothing can change that. We are in the palm of his hand and nothing can pluck us out. We belong to the Lord.

  18. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    A MAN OF GOD

34 These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

We know and understand that GOD speaks to everyone. But it is equally important to know and understand that certain instructions will be given from GOD to a specific man of GOD for a certain people. Meaning, we all need a Man of GOD to hear from.

In reflection of the book of Leviticus, I have been intrigued by how often the Bible says “the Lord spake unto Moses” for the purpose of speaking to those following him.

    I found:

    36 in Leviticus
    28 in Exodus
    56 in Numbers (upcoming)

120 times in 3 chapters with the words “The LORD spake unto Moses”.

My revelation being; where would the people be

    1. Without GOD
    2. Without a man that listens for the voice of GOD.

I have been informed numerous times that people dont really need a Pastor to be saved. But, that is not in the BIBLE. But, I can show us here how important it is to hear from GOD through the man of GOD.

Lets be wise and listen to the man of GOD.

  19. 26 Only the firstling of the beasts, which should be the Lord‘s firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the Lord‘s.

God is molding their mentality to understand how He comes first. Live stock was their form of monetary gain. Today giving we are to give our first fruit also, we give in the form of tithing. That which belongs to the Lord, is his alone and not to be sanctified back to themselves. We should give willingly with an open hand and not a grudging fist. Giving our best honors God and shows our submission in obedience.

  20. 27-:34 these are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moises For the children of Israel on
    Mount Sinai.
The Lord has spoken, whatever he commands let us just do it.

  21. Vows regarding Tithes

Leviticus 27:30-31 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord. And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But you say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

Kingdom First starts with obedience, give what belongs to Him.

  22. 9 And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the Lord, all that any man giveth of such unto the Lord shall be holy.

  23. 7. And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

    8. But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.

  24. “The Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate someone to the Lord by paying the value of that person,”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭27:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The vow of consecration was therefore far more than mere words, it had a definite action associated with it – and prevented people from making empty vows to God.

  25. AMP – 30 ‘And all the tithe (tenth part) of the land, whether the seed of the land or the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. 31 If a man wishes to redeem any part of his tithe, he shall add one-fifth to it

The tithe from the beginning has been designated for the Lord. The Lord can multiply the 90% that is ours to meet the needs that we may have. However, if we can touch the portion that belongs to the Lord ,then the entire amount is cursed and although we may have enough to meet the needs, something else will arise the will cost us far more than what the 10% would be.

It may not be immediate, but we can’t touch what belongs to the Lord without consequences arising.

  26. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

A vow is an important thing to have with God, it shows Him how committed you are to Him by having it, and fulfilling it.

  27. 26 No one is allowed to dedicate the firstborn of an animal; the firstborn, as firstborn, already belongs to God. No matter if it’s cattle or sheep, it already belongs to God.

It seems like a such a simple concept, but it took me years to fully comprehend the first tenth tithe. I understood that “a” tenth belonged to God, but the first tenth is what is crucial and important to God.

  28. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.
3 And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
4 And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.
5 And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
6 And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.
7 And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

    The worth of a man

How much are you worth? If you ask your employer they may say it is what you get paid, or family may say, you are are worth more than gold. But no matter how much man says you are worth, what does God say? John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God thought you worth enough to die for. He thought you are worth saving So he died for you and me. The worth a man to God was paid for in His Blood.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God.

  29. Levitico 27:34

  30. 1 And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the Lord, then he shall present the beast before the priest:

12 And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.

13 But if he will at all redeem it, then he shall add a fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

These scriptures refresh the thought of how we are blessed to have a great God that provided as in himself a sacrifice that we know to be absolutely pure and holy.

I am grateful that the former process of sacrifice we no longer have to partake of, we were purchased with the ultimate sacrifice a spotless lamb. IT does cause to ponder how the inspection of these animals was perhaps very stringent and detailed when referring that they would be offered as a sacrifice.
I am of the persuasion that it does good to reflect on the Holy Lamb that was slain.

To magnify and contemplate on his purity and holiness, to examine and ponder his righteousness. Perhaps we can take it lightly at times and not consider the intricate detail and the price he paid. I feel that often we should visit that place where the greatest miracle known to mankind took place that eternal salvation because of the price he paid. It was he that was just that died for the unjust, he that stripped himself of glory to purchase mankind and to redeem.

Ultimately I believe that the price paid was so that I as his vessel could live in his purity and holiness.

But what does it mean to be holy? Truth be told I’ve asked myself this question a few times during my tenure in service to God. What is the demonstration of the holiness of God? Certainly it cannot reflect and mean only the outward appearance, although not discounting absolutely nothing from it as I believe that it important on all accounts.

But what are the signs, he gave the mandate in scripture “Be ye holy for I am holy”, we understand that he gave and placed this charge on us.

The holiness that we demonstrate should not be observed only behind closed doors. We are not to be ashamed of our doctrine and faith. We should be holy “in full assembly,” in public, out in the open, in society. Among our peers, or in the midst of strangers, wherever we may find ourselves, we should never be ashamed of our character and sanctity

When he gave the exhortation to be holy as God is holy, I believe he gave a certain set of instructions. I would have to say it begins this way based on the readings of the Old Testament. IT started with respect for God and then our parents, it then proceeds to laws that govern our relationships as to how we conduct ourselves with our fellow brethren. We are commanded to be fair in our judgements and business dealings.

Being holy I would say is not defined by ritual practices, because while you can achieve and fulfill all, if the character of Christ is not forming on the inside what then? I’ve never understood as over the years I’ve seen people come out of a prayer room speaking in tongues in a very loud amplified manner and walk out and look very upset, they seem to have no joy, they do not demonstrate sadly the love of God. I’ve walked away saying you just made a bunch of noise.

They cannot share a smile or greeting! I do not discount prayer, or prayer meetings they are very essential. But if we show not the character of Jesus what then is the point?

Holiness can be found in our relationships with other people. It is revealed when we are just and compassionate. It is manifest when we are respectful of others and ethical in our behavior. I remember when in my younger years I would watch as sometimes the people from the secular world were friendlier then the church folks. While I’d walk in a place of business everyone would greet with a “good morning”, sometimes at church folks would pass right over you and utter not a single word. My thought, and you want to reach the world? Had to pray though a few times truth be told.

Holiness is a form Godliness that resides on the inside and shows up on the outside in my opinion.

It matters how I treat my fellow brother, am I perfect no, but if the word of God is of any importance to me I’ll watch myself closely how I conduct myself and the things I say out of my mouth. IF it does not matter then I am merely wasting my time.

  31. 30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord‘s: it is holy unto the Lord.
31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

  32. Leviticus Chapter 27

In Leviticus Chapter 27, the Lord told Moses and Aaron that if a man promised a servant to God, he must keep that promise and not change it. But, God said, these vows could be redeemed if
God gave specific instructions on the amount of silver that was to be given if a man wanted to free a servant who was promised to God. Males were worth more than females as a male between the ages of 20 and 60 was worth 50 silver shekels and a female was worth only 30.

People were worth less if they were younger than 20 and they had no measurable value until they were at least one month old. Men who were older than 60 were worth 15 shekels and women over 60 were worth only 10.

    Rules about Offering Animals
God said that an animal that was offered to Him should not be altered or changed. He said that if an animal had to be exchanged for another, they should be of equal worth.

Also, a beast that was considered unclean should not be offered at all. Instead, it should be brought before the priest who would evaluate it. A 20 percent penalty was added if the person who offered the animal wanted to buy it back.

Offering a House as a Gift
Leviticus Chapter 27 also has guidelines on what happens if a man offers his house as a gift. The priest would be called upon to evaluate the house and decide a fair price for it. If the person wanted to buy the house back, he would have to pay an extra 20 percent.

Giving a Field as a Gift
A person could also make a gift of a field that belonged to his family. The value of the field would depend on what kind of seed and the amount of it that was planted there.

This portion of land would revert back to the giver or the giver’s heirs during the Jubilee year. One way to keep the giver honest was to make a law that if they tried to sell it to someone else, it would become the Lord’s during the Jubilee year. Once that happened, it would not revert back to the owner or their heirs.

The person might also buy the field of another Israelite and offer it to God. The priest would also evaluate this property to determine a fair price for it.

    Other Gifts
Leviticus Chapter 27 also lists gifts that cannot be offered to God because they already belong to Him. These gifts include animals, tithes, and a tenth of all crops.

  33. [28] Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord .
[32] And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord .

    Revelation 2:27 (KJV)
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
    Hebrews 9:4-6 KJV
[4] Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; [5] And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly. [6] Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God .

  34. 34 These are the commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

The commandments God gave Moses are important. God gave a command to give a tithe of what the fields brought in. our fields today would be money to bring tithe to the Lord. to give back to him.
To give not only in money but time as well. everyday we should give time back to him by reading and spreading his word as well. How are we speeding our time for God?

  35. God gave Moses a commandment for his children that his people are to be estimated in the years of a jubilee for him. The people and animals had a price put on them. This gave me a idea that God had a price for everything and he paid it and now we should all rejoice in our own jubilee.

  36. 30“One-tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain from the fields or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD and must be set apart to him as holy. 31 If you want to buy back the LORD’s tenth of the grain or fruit, you must pay its value, plus 20 percent.

Its best to pay your tithes on time. Who would want to buy property back at 20% interest. Seems like this is where those payday loans all started. A loan in advance, but payback later will cost you a lot more. Pray about your finances, give your tithes/offering and God will make sure you have more than enough.

  37. 29 None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.

Once you understand why tithing/offering is important, then you wouldn’t try to hold anything back. That’s your way of commitment to Jesus and his Kingdom, keep your flesh grounded and stay filled with faith. Jesus has everything under control, I believe this has been one of the most challenging things in my life. I know Jesus can move mountains but why do I believe he won’t provide for me. Proverty mentality? Thank you Jesus for continuing working in my life!

  38. 30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord‘s: it is holy unto the Lord.
31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.

If only people better understood tithes, maybe fewer people would hold out…

  39. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation. But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.
    Leviticus 27:2‭, ‬8 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.27.2-8.KJV

If we make a vow to the Lord it is important that we keep it, dont not so it, but He even gave an alternative, if they couldnt afford their testament then they could give an animal for to fulfill their vow, I made a vow we paid the vow, we felt so strong to make it but didnt have the money, but when it was time to pay it we paid it, because I beleive that God didnt give us that amount for nothing, I love to give, but sometimes it’s not comfortable, button give anyways, is to me faith that God knows not just the motive but the sacrifice!

    First the Kingdom

  40. 30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord.

  41. Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord . None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed; but shall surely be put to death.
    Leviticus 27:28‭-‬29 KJV

Everything we have we owe to the Lord. Our breath, our jobs, our posessions. Most people say I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for Him. Well if we think about it, nonexistent is the answer. His word says He knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb. If it wasn’t for Him there would be no humanity. I thank Him for being the Creator and shaping and molding us in His image. I pray we take a deep look at where are devotions are and make sure we are devoted to Him and Him alone!

  42. 28 Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the Lord of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the Lord.

The word devoted stood out to me in this verse and chapter. If its devoted, then it is holy. It should be that in our lives we give every day, a time that is devoted, set aside, set apart, cut out from everything else, consecrated unto the Lord. And this should come as a priority.

  43. When we give of ourselves to the kingdom, God can do great things. We must be willing to let other things go in order to focus on kingdom work. The enemy will try and do his best to keep us from excelling, but greater is he that is within us than he that is in the world.

  44. 32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord.

Tithing is Biblical! One tenth of everything is Holy unto the Lord. Meaning none of it belongs to us but God delegates 90% for us the be good stewards over and takes 10% unto Himself. Why would be complain about the 10th when he gave us the 90?

  45. “But if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that vowed shall the priest value him.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭27:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What is your worth. I know that if people today went before the minister and had to be evaluated it would greatly offend many, if not all. We have to realize that every person has strengths and weaknesses. Every person has things they can help with, and things they need help with. We just need to remember to let our vow be true. Let our yes be yes, and our no be no. Don’t promise unless you can deliver.

  46. 30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord‘s: it is holy unto the Lord.
31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

Everything should tithe unto God. Not to ourselves, not to anything else in the world, only to God. He deserves our tithing, because without him we don’t have anything. He gave us and blessed us with everything we have.

When we tithe we always think of just money. But as it states here, tithing is not just money. Tithing is on every increase in our lives. It also says not to worry about the condition. He will change whatever needs changed to make it holy.

  47. “Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.”
    ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭27:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Don’t sell yourself short, you are worth more than you give yourself credit for. As a matter of fact, you have so much value that once you belong to God he simply adds more value to your spirit.

  48. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.

3 And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.
