Numbers 2

And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

And those that do pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of Issachar.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the son of Helon shall be captain of the children of Zebulun.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth.

10 On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

11 And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

12 And those which pitch by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

13 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

14 Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

15 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

16 All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank.

17 Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

18 On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.

19 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.

20 And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

21 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

22 Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.

23 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

24 All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank.

25 The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

26 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

27 And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran.

28 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

29 Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

30 And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

31 All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were an hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall go hindmost with their standards.

32 These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

  1. 2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

So many of us today try to live our lives by our own man made standards and whenever life gets rough or things take a turn for the worst we automatically want to blame god but when in fact he is trying to tell us that if we just live our lives by his word and he’s standards that we wouldn’t have to fear trials and tribulations, because it’s through his word that we knowledge and our strength.

  2. 3 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

God’s ways are higher than ours! Don’t be foolish to think you can make it on your own. We must follow God’s commandments as He has given instructions and be completely committed to the Pastor, who has authority in our life. Thank you, Lord for all of the blessings you have bestowed upon me, even when I didn’t deserve it!

  3. The Levites were kept separate from rest of the tribes of Israel. They were not numbered among the children of Israel. God has specific rules for each tribe. With these thousands of people they must do as the Lord commands. Without order there would be utter chaos. All but the Levites must be far off from the Tabernacle. The Israelites must follow the Lord as he will keep them on the right path, as we also must follow our Lord today to keep us on the right path.

  4. Setting Up Camp
God then gets really specific about the sleeping arrangements.
He tells the people they need to set up camp so that the tabernacle is in the center of everyone and people from each of the twelve tribes are living around it.
On each of the four sides, there will be three tribes. Check out this chart for details on the camping arrangements. God runs a really tight ship.
The Big Guy also names the order that the Israelites will set out on their journey in. First, the tribes to the east, then the ones to the south, next the Levites who will be schlepping the tabernacle to the Promised Land, then the tribes on the west, and finally, the guys living on the north side.
Everyone is in “regiments” and “companies,” which implies that they are battle-ready. So, bring it bad guys. God’s got this war thing down to a science.
Again, the Israelites follow all God’s commands. Wow, this is all going along so smoothly. Promised Land here we come!

  6. Verses 3-4 MSG “To the east……”, verses 10-11 “To the south……”, verses 18-19 “To the west……” and verses 25-26 “To the south…..”. This reminded me of the song “Take This City”:

    To the north we cry out;
To the south we will shout
The enemy and his kingdom must come down
    To the east we profess;
    To the west we confess
The enemy and his kingdom must come down

    For we cannot be silent
    We cannot sit by
    We must take this city
For the cause of Jesus Christ

    We are bold;
    We are strong
We are ready to march on
    Through Christ
    We will take this city

We (POFW) will march on…..and through Christ, we will take this city.

  7. “Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards. They were strategically placed. Never get upset because of where your at, you could be placed there for a purpose. We’re all called for a purpose. We just have to ask Jesus what your current situation is for, or who it’s for. You see the test might not always be for you but for the people around you, especially for someone leading. When you’re leading all eyes are on you.

  8. 2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

we all have a place in God’s kingdom. We should do our part.

  9. 1-2 God spoke to Moses and Aaron. He said, “The People of Israel are to set up camp circling the Tent of Meeting and facing it. Each company is to camp under its distinctive tribal flag.” Msg

They all faced the Tabernacle of the Lord. Every morning, as soon as they came out that was the first thing they saw. To know that The Lord resided right there and seeing it every morning as soon as you got up to remind you of your statutes. Now, He resides in me!!!! He knows me personally, walks with me, goes to work with me, and keeps me in His statutes daily by the Holy Ghost and His word!! Thank you Jesus!!

  10. Numbers 2: 33-34 [Amp] But the Levites were not numbered with the Israelites, for so the Lord commanded Moses.
[34] Thus the Israelites did according to all the Lord commanded Moses; so they encamp by their standards, and so they set forward, everyone with his [ tribal] families, according to his father’s house Moses did what the Lord commanded. There are two words Listen and obey the Lord’s commands. The key word is obedience. Be bless in Jesus name.

  11. 34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

The children of Israel did all what God commanded them to do. Sometimes it can become hard to follow all that God tells us to when things in our life gets in the way. The thing to remember is God has all power. Even when we get distracted by the things of this world, God gives us the power to overcome. We don’t have to live in the sin we experience, but we can come out with our hands raised. When we give God praise, we put the enemy on the run because he doesn’t like when we make a joyful noise.

  12. 2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

The tabernacle sat right in the middle with everyone pitched around all four sides of it. Not only is it important that God remains the center, but we have right to claim surrounding territories, north, south, east, and west!

  13. 2. When the Israelites set up camp, each tribe will be assigned its own area. The tribal divisions will camp beneath their family banners on all four sides of the Tabernacle, but at some distance from it. NLT

Jesus at the center of it all
Jesus at the center of it all
    From beginning to the end
    It will always be
    It’s always been You, Jesus

    Nothing else matters
Nothing in this world will do
    Cause Jesus, You’re the center
    Everything revolves around You
    Jesus, You

  14. 32 These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

Throughout this chapter the children of Israel did according to what God spoke to Moses and Aaron. They did not waver or deviate from the instructions. The surrounded the tabernacle and raised their standards from the north, south, east, and west. The Levite’s with the tabernacle of God in the midst. I feel that God when he would come into the tabernacle he would be in the middle of the children.

I am reminded that the vision of the POFW is to get the word to all of the souls of this city. I can see us having several preaching points or campuses around this city and Tarrant county. A campus on the east side, a campus on the north side, and a campus
Back on the south side. With our current campus on the west side and we having a come together meeting downtown to worship together. I feel if we obey the commandment of God we can achieve this vision for our city. We have to continue t seeking First the kingdom of God and he will open the doors.

  15. 2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
We all have a place in God’s kingdom. We should do our part.
God gives the plan to the pastor because he is the leader and as the people we must follow his direction as God leads him.

  16. 2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

Everyman is accountable for his house and how he runs it. That’s why it is important to seek the kingdom of God and how he runs his household. It was up to Moses and where he drew the line near the mountain. If you had put it too far then the people would not have been able to come near the mountain of God but if he put it to close and someone accidentally touch them out and they would have been put to death so Moses had to set the standard for how close the children of Israel could come to Mount Sinai. Setting the standard for our homes is just as important as our own personal convictions and reflects our personal walk with God

  17. So the people of Israel did everything as the Lord had commanded Moses. Each clan and family set up camp and marched under their banners exactly as the Lord had instructed them.
    Numbers 2:34 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/num.2.34.NLT

Love, Unity, obedience and submission can bring us together into a United front. An army marching through, claiming back territory, storming the gates of hell.

  18. God set up the ways for us to live at each time in our lives. It’s the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. So the ease in having plans already in place makes his way the best. How much better can it be for us!

  19. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

Seek ye First the Kingdom Of God.

  20. 34 So the Israelites did everything the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family.

There’s something powerful about unity. Specifically when it’s built on the differences of families. Everyone took their place and rejoiced in the order.

  21. Numbers 2

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

3 And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

  22. It appears that the Lord gave them instructions for their camp to be orderly. When they moved they moved in a specific order tribe of Judah in front, tribe of Dan at the back. When they stopped and put up the tabernacle, each of them had a designated area to place their tent. They all specific duties in fulfilling this placement. Everyone knew their place, and what to do to set up and take down the camp whenever necessary.

Each one of us is gifted with talents and abilities that fit together when we are all working together so that every area of need in ministry is covered. We must not forget that when we are out of place, it makes the body at POFW out of balance, because now someone else must fill our shoes and fill in the area that is missing.

Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

  23. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    IN YOUR DELEGATED PLACE

34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

We witness in this chapter the value and importance of being in our ASSIGNED and DELEGATED place. Per the illustration provided above by Bro. Morgan we see that the most important position of every believer is to have our face and focus on the LORD and HIS Kingdom.

Seeking FIRST The Kingdom of GOD begins with our position and direction. Am I where delegated authority has placed or assigned me? Is my focus “seeking” The Kingdom; commands, will and pleasures of JESUS, through submitting to delegated authority.

This chapter reveals the importance of our placement and submission to the order and plans of those in authority. The order of authority is revealed in this chapter:

LORD – Moses (Man of GOD)
    Moses – Fathers
    Fathers – Families

As a church it is important to us to follow specific instructions from Leadership to ensure that we are positioned and placed to WORSHIP the LORD facing HIS Glory and presence.

Our obedience in position and service is important to the whole worship experience. Hospitality, Musicians, Teachers, Drivers, Singers, Service Leaders, Worshippers, and Preachers are all imperative to the BIG Picture of GODs will for worship and protection of each member. Take your position and “seek” face the LORD in preparation for the SURPRISE Harvest and UNRESTRICTED Revival.

  24. Numbers 2:9 (AMP), “The total of the numbered men (in the three tribes on the east side) in the camp of Judah was 186,400, by their armies. They shall move out first (on the march).”

When the cloud lifted up, and the priests blew the trumpets, it was time for the children of Israel and the Tabernacle to move on. It was always JUDAH (Praise) that lead the way.
This made me think, “It should always be PRAISE that leads the way in our life.”

  25. Numbers 2
34 So the Israelites did everything the Lord commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family.

    The Importance of a Standard
I’ve heard that my highest standard will be my child’s lowest. In our walk with God we set the standard we live by. We can sign every document covenant promise presented to us in hopes of keeping the commitment. Yet if we choose to walk away from that commitment; was it truly a commitment. God gave each of us the choice to set a standard for our life. That was to either choose Him or choose the World. Each of us must set a standard we are truly committed to living . Not anyone else’s standard . You How do I set a standard . Thankfully this is where leadership comes in. To be guided to be taught what type of standard to set . How beautiful the Kingdom of God is. God sets the standard if we will adhere to His Word through the teaching preaching teaching if the Leadership you have chose to follow this no worries . Yet another concern can rise here when someone says what would pastor think about this . My reply is what does God think?
Standards a word some run from but in reality we should run towards them. Don’t be concerned if someone thinks you set too high a standard remember your strongest or highest becomes someone lowest .
Live for God from your heart do that which pleases Him… live hard for God is easy . People give excuses for God because they say we live by a standard well if that be so will the standard I live by get me to my final destination? Heaven.

    Isaiah 59
19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

    Romans 12:2
2 Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God – what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.

  26. 34 So the people of Israel did everything as the Lord had commanded Moses. Each clan and family set up camp and marched under their banners exactly as the Lord had instructed them. NLT

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Psalms 32:8

He has a path for all of us but it’s up to us if we’re going to follow it or decide to go our own way.

  27. These are those which were numbered of the Children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, all those who were numbered by their camps throughout their host were:
Six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty..
Wow, all these dwelled ( camped) around the Tabernacle of congratulation.
    ——-
Ok so 2019 Fort Wort Tx population is 895,008 people.
It starts in our neighborhood. Let’s keep on Bringing them to the place of congregation Where the Savior shows who He is.🙌. And what He can do.

  28. 34 The People of Israel did everything the way God commanded Moses: They camped under their respective flags; they marched by tribe with their ancestral families.

I’ve learned the phrase “Simple Obedience” from one of my friends. Likely the we all attempt to be obedient in the things we do. However, are we obedient in the small things? Sometimes we follow the rules we deem appropriate and overlooking the ones we don’t agree with. Do we ask the entitled “why” question when being reminded of a rule?

Disobedience starts out small. An employee helps herself to some office supplies because after all, she’s worked there for five years. She deserves something. Next thing you know she’s stealing money. A husband starts out with an occasional chat with the girl in the office. He decides one lunch with her won’t hurt, but he doesn’t tell his wife. Now he sits in the counseling office trying to save his marriage. A college student stays out late instead of working on his term paper due tomorrow. He decides just this once he can copy someone else’s. Now he is explaining in a job interview why he was expelled from college for plagiarism.

Simple obedience is a necessity, even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when the command we’re breaking doesn’t seem that bad.

  29. So the people of Israel did everything as the Lord had commanded Moses. Each clan and family set up camp and marched under their banners exactly as the Lord had instructed them.
    Numbers 2:34 NLT

    We are ambassadors of Christ

  30. 32 These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

Y conociendo nuestra identidad Como Hijos . Como Parte del Reino de Dios.

  32. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
3 And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

As the God spake to Moses concerning the organization of the upcoming Holy war, the Israelites where given instructions on how they were to setup camp, and to also deploy when they were at rest.
It was of utmost importance that they setup their vast tent village around the Holy Sanctuary. Upon reading on this I find it was a square formation that would be set up with each division consisting of 3 tribes assigned a particular place. And that place was designated by compass directions east, west, north, and south.

But why a square? Why the wilderness tabernacle in the center? Perhaps as the obvious reason would demonstrate the surrounding of people would better protect the Tabernacle. IT appears these Israelites who had spent generations in Egypt, perhaps were very much familiar with this method. I would say with Jesus all has a meaning –

I believe that most of what Israel did was perhaps well known to them. Centuries of following God’s ways and better understanding God purposes for them, I would assume their customs did begin to look vastly different from the other folks, perhaps their ways became stranger and stranger to the rest of the world. I can see that it was a development of times that transitioned into a difference and a change that was no doubt noted.

Bringing it up to speed, God’s plan for his church I believe is still the same, the years of the journey that have been walked with God is not in vain. Those years bare a formation process that can only be brought about with time. Its a formation that is perhaps odd to the world, perhaps not understood and accepted. But the purpose of the church is to represent Jesus Christ.

Our customs are not compatible with the world, our thought process is not in agreement with the world. Our mindset is not set on earthly things, we serve God under his submission and are subjected unto him. I conclude that the method of God is the method that I must follow. His precepts, his commandments, and statues. Blessed today to serve a mighty God.

  33. 34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

God sets standards for each of us. Some things in the Bible are black and white, but aside from that we each have convictions beyond the black and white standards. There are some things I know not to do because it tempts me to do other things. We all have something in our life, certain convictions that keep us in line.

There are also the black and white standards that we should all abide by. God has us each in our own area to accomplish certain tasks and goals in the Kingdom of God. Stick to the standards to fulfill your duty to the Kingdom.

  34. 34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

  35. “In summary, the troops of Israel listed by their families totaled 603,550. But as the Lord had commanded, the Levites were not included in this registration. So the people of Israel did everything as the Lord had commanded Moses. Each clan and family set up camp and marched under their banners exactly as the Lord had instructed them. 😶 that’s a lot of people

  36. The head descendant of the head family of a tribe was accounted for their armies in every tribe because God commanded Moses.

  37. 32 These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

God gave every detail to Moses for him to be able to communicate this to the people. We all know how it works when one person says something and after 5 people it’s total opposite of what it started. Gods plans are set and even when we don’t think it’s possible, he has control no matter what.

  38. And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
    Numbers 2:34 KJV

Moses commanded over 1/2 a million people traveling to the Promised Land. The only way all of them could have been on one accord was with the help of God Himself. I thank God for ordering our steps Nd providing direction wherever we go!

  39. 33] But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses. [34] And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

    Luke 12:1-9 KJV
[1] In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. [2] For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. [3] Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. [4] And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. [5] But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. [6] Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? [7] But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. [8] Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: [9] But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

  40. 33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Ever thought about why the Levites were not numbered? Could it be that God was looking for a people set apart, that would wholeheartedly serve Him? Could it be because He didn’t want them to fight in battle?

  41. North South East and West

Very strategically God placed the tribes in every direction. The clear instruction of the Lord if followed will lead to victory.
This is the vision that God has placed over The POFW. God is going to expand this church all the way across this city. We can be assured if we stick to his plan we will win this city.

  42. So the people of Israel did everything as the Lord had commanded Moses. Each clan and family set up camp and marched under their banners exactly as the Lord had instructed them.
    Numbers 2:34 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/num.2.34.NLT

They all went under their banner. A banner, an identity who they are. We now go in Jesus name, for everything we do in word or deed we shall do in the name of Jesus.

  43. 34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

The childrene of Israel did according to all that God commanded Moses.
God put in place a leader which to me is Pastor. I am to follow his vision, work toward it and live by it.
    Simple as that.

  44. ““The divisions of Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun are to camp toward the sunrise on the east side of the Tabernacle, beneath their family banners. These are the names of the tribes, their leaders, and the numbers of their registered troops: “When the Israelites set up camp, each tribe will be assigned its own area. The tribal divisions will camp beneath their family banners on all four sides of the Tabernacle, but at some distance from it.”

  45. “Thus the Israelites did [as ordered]; according to everything the LORD had commanded Moses, so they camped by their standards, and so they moved out, everyone with his family (clan), according to his fathers’ household.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭2:34‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God has a purpose, a plan and a place for each of us. When we step out of that to take life into our own hands, chaos is sure to come.

  46. 34 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lordcommanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

Obedience is important to God. They did all that God asked and we too should fall in their footsteps. Obeying Gods voice and walking the way of His Word.

  47. Throughout the chapter instructions are given time and time again to assure order by tribes and their families. Consistency and accuracy is so important God, we should also have order in our own homes.

  48. 34So the people of Israel did everything as the LORD had commanded Moses. Each clan and family set up camp and marched under their banners exactly as the LORD had instructed them.

In war/battles, commands have to be followed or casualties will rise. Every division, infantry, squadrons all have their commands to follow. We too have to follow the Lord’s command or suffer the consequences.

  49. “These are the Israelites, counted according to their families. All the men in the camps, by their divisions, number 603,550.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭2:32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

603,550…that’s how many MEN Moses was leading. A man that, not too long ago, was content living in the middle of nowhere, woke up every day to the same old thing, and had a speech impediments bow leading 603,550 MEN! Be responsible with the small numbers and God will trust you with the bigger numbers.

  50. 33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Everyone was to encamp around the tabernacle. But not too close, as to give reverence. Everyone was to do this without complaining and murmuring, content with what was allotted to them.

It is our duty to be content and glad with what God has given us. Not have greed or covet others belongings. Doing everything without complaining which is what makes the church beautiful. Being grateful to God in all.

Even those that are left without. (Levite’s)

  51. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
    Numbers 2:1-2

At the center of this order was the tabernacle itself. The tribes would arrange themselves to the east, south, west, and north in relation to the tabernacle. Since the tabernacle was symbolically the presence of God with them, this meant all order in Israel began being centered around God Himself.
GOD SHOULD BE THE CENTER OF OUR LIVES.
