Numbers 5

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;

Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

10 And every man’s hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.

11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man’s wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the Lord:

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

18 And the priest shall set the woman before the Lord, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:

19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

20 But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:

21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The Lord make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the Lord doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.

25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the Lord, and offer it upon the altar:

26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

  1. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    In the early years of medical practice, doctors would not segregate those with contagious diseases from those that had common colds and the results was outbreaks of said contagious disease. For years doctors were baffled about why diseases were spreading so quickly until scientific research showed that when someone has certain types of bacteria and illnesses they must be set aside for the rest of the people, have they looked right here in the word of God they would have seen this solution before. Seemingly science doesn’t stumble upon truth until later after many trials and errors rather than just going to the word of God which gives insight too many issues with solutions. Simply put, God has all the answers

  2. The saying “be like Jesus” is the most explainable way to strive to live. If you do this before every decision you make and all activity you choose you cannot lose!

  3. 5Then the LORD said to Moses, 6“Give the following instructions to the people of Israel: If any of the people—men or women—betray the LORD by doing wrong to another person, they are guilty.

    When we serve God our goal is to be just like him. Our mind, thoughts, and ways must be like Jesus. We have to have compassion and love for one another as Jesus has loved us. I know that when we do wrong to others then as scripture states we betray the Lord. We have to forgive and forget or we have to ask for forgiveness from those that we have wronged. It is all about seeking first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness. We have to strive to be as close to perfect in Gods will as we can. We are not perfect but can strive for perfection. Only God is perfect.

    Remember if you have ought against your brother, you have to ask for forgiveness and set it right.

  4. …. Now that I live among my people, their camp must be kept clean.”
    Numbers 5:2‭-‬3 CEV
    Every day we have breath, we should be living a life of obedience and Holiness unto the LORD. It is in how we think, act, and communicate. It is because of His blood, grace and love toward us that we are living today. Reading His word clearly gives Devine instructions in how to live. We cannot pick and choose. Be alert and think straight. Put all your hope in how God will treat you with undeserved grace when Jesus Christ appears. Behave like obedient children. Don’t let your lives be controlled by your desires, as they used to be. Always live as God’s holy people should, because God is the one who chose you, and he is holy. That’s why the Scriptures say, “I am the holy God, and you must be holy too.”
    1 Peter 1:13‭-‬16

  5. Numbers 5
    From law to grace . The all saving cleansing blood of Jesus.

    Psalms 19
    9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.

    We the church must be ready to share the goodness of God. Women and men alike carry guilt and shame as they turn away from a life of sin. Many times because of the life they have lived they feel they cannot go to church. We must share the washing the saving grace of God . What can wash away sin only Jesus. Help us to hold on to the Biblical principles so that we may lead others into a life that can be pure and holy and acceptable to God.

  6. 6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;

    7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

    8 But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

    Every time I read this I am reminded that IT IS PAID IN FULL!!! NO DEBT REMAINS!!! JESUS PAID IT ALL FOR YOU AND ME!!! Hallelujah!!! Our Lord, Our Redeemer, Our Savior!!! Paid all our debt for He died not for the atonement but for the REMISSION, ERASED AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

  7. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
    2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    God cannot and will not dwell in the midst of defilement. Until one is made holy, God will not have any part of it. Search us today Lord and remove anything that is not of you. “So, put me on your wheel now and spin me around, spin me around. Place me in your flame now, until you see through me and I’m ready to come out.”

  8. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

     If the Lord would speak to Pastor today and ask him to clean The Lord House of everybody with an issue thank God for mercy.

  9. Verses 5-6 ERV say “The Lord said to Moses, “Tell this to the Israelites: You might do something wrong to another person. When you do that, you are really sinning against God. So you are guilty of doing wrong.” Another version states “….sinning against each other is just like abandoning Me….”. James 2:8 KJV says “If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:”.

    The second half of the chapter talks about “Protecting Marital Faithfulness” as the NLT version captions it. Ephesians 5:22-33 CEV says “A wife should put her husband first, as she does the Lord. A husband is the head of his wife, as Christ is the head and the Savior of the church, which is his own body. Wives should always put their husbands first, as the church puts Christ first. A husband should love his wife as much as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. He made the church holy by the power of his word, and he made it pure by washing it with water. Christ did this, so that he would have a glorious and holy church, without faults or spots or wrinkles or any other flaws. In the same way, a husband should love his wife as much as he loves himself. A husband who loves his wife shows that he loves himself. None of us hate our own bodies. We provide for them and take good care of them, just as Christ does for the church, because we are each part of his body. As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother to get married, and he becomes like one person with his wife.” This is a great mystery, but I understand it to mean Christ and his church. So each husband should love his wife as much as he loves himself, and each wife should respect her husband.”

  10. 14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

    The spirit of jealousy destroys. There should never be a reason to be jealous. We are to be honest and faithful, loving and kind to one another at all times. If we are trying to be pleasing to God in all our ways, this spirit can be avoided.

  11. Numbers 5:1-3 (cev)
    The LORD told Moses, to say to the people of Israel, Put out of the camp everyone who has leprosy or a bodily discharge or who has touched a dead body. Now that I live among my people, their camp must be kept clean.

    This still holds true for us today. God dwells within us. We must keep our hearts and minds clean and our actions right. We must be holy, for He is holy.

  12. 5:24 and he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter waters that bring the curse, and the water that cause the the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
    ———-
    Wow😮!!!!! Now the time, the acceptable time!!
    Let us seek the Lord, let us ask for forgiveness and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
    I need it.
    Let us speak Life and do right. I choose the blessing of God.
    I don’t want to Bring a curse that will affect generations, no, I don’t!.

  13. And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

    This is why people become bitter when they sin
    They’ve done their husband wrong, their true husband.
    What are we? We’re the church. We’re the bride of Christ.
    So when we sin against the lord bitterness starts setting in all that he sinned. Another key to dying daily and lying it before Jesus. It’s crucial and important to make sure we stay in the spirit. Jesus is coming soon.

  14. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

    Thank you Jesus four purchasing my salvation so that I can boldly approach the throne of mercy and grace!

  15. “The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the Israelites to send away from the camp every leper and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever is defiled [that is, ceremonially unclean] by [coming in contact with] the dead. You shall send away both male and female; you shall send them outside the camp so that they will not defile their camp where I dwell in their midst.””
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭5:1-3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    This passage of scripture reminds me of the consecration service last night. There was an opportunity to reflect on what separates us from God and allow us to cast it into the fire. In our life we must daily examine ourselves to see the hindrances in our lives. You make adjustments to have a better relationship with God.

  16. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

    Sin not only effects us, but it is like a domino effect. When we open ourselves up to sin, it has an effect on all those around us as well.
    We may repent of that sin and find forgiveness, but that doesn’t mean that the damage that we have done will go away. Others may fall because of our sin and never find forgiveness, or we may plant a seed of rebellion in our children by sinning in front of them, and then we find forgiveness but they never get rid of that seed that was planted and it causes them to be lost.

    When we recognize our spirit is not right, we must immediately take our stinking flesh to the cross and die again before the Lord to rid ourselves from anything that would lead us astray. Crucifying our flesh, and keeping ourselves in the word that we don’t sin against God and keeping the flame of His Spirit burning daily in our hearts is our only hope.

    Num 5:2  Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

    Thank the Lord we don’t kick out everyone that has an issue in the church nowadays. There was a day way back yonder when folks tried to kick out people with issues, but thank you Jesus The Pentecostals of Fort Worth have never done that and we receive everyone so they may have a chance to be filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus name

  18. FIRST THE KINGDOM
    PROTECT THE CAMP

    1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
    2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
    4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

    Spiritual awareness is a very important aspect of Kingdom Life. Understanding the concept of contamination is important to the believer. The driving force or wind behind sin is pride. Pride is contagious and dangerous. No. We do not become sinful because someone that sins comes close to us. However the repeated influence of sin is deceitful and seductive.

    For this cause GOD protected the camp, much like he will protect HEAVEN. When we take action to protect our home and church from the carnal influences of sin we are taking steps to PROTECT THE CAMP.

    Do NOT live life in the suspicion mode. But, be Prayerful and sensitive to sin that may be tempting to all. Sin is a spirit and seduces the mind to lead the heart astray.

    This is why it is important that we guard against activities, movies and games that promote pride, wrath and deception.

    Live for GOD, BE Holy, Love GOD and protect HIS Kingdom.

  19. 29“This is the ritual law for dealing with suspicion. If a woman goes astray and defiles herself while under her husband’s authority, 30or if a man becomes jealous and is suspicious that his wife has been unfaithful, the husband must present his wife before the LORD, and the priest will apply this entire ritual law to her. 31The husband will be innocent of any guilt in this matter, but his wife will be held accountable for her sin.”

    We all will be held accountable for our sins. This speaks about the wife being unfaithful, but it should apply to the husband as well. God will see the unfaithfulness of each individual, and he’ll be the judge. Keep your marriage sacred, and as a couple put God first.

  20. Thank the Lord that we have Jesus that we may receive forgiveness thru prayer and repentance. Do not purposely hang out with sinners as the seed of evil can sneak up on you. To keep the Israelites physically and mentally healthy the lepers and sinners were set aside. Our Lord wants to protect us and keep us from harm, physical and mental!

  21. And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

    5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;

    7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

  22. ““Command the people of Israel to remove from the camp anyone who has a skin disease or a discharge, or who has become ceremonially unclean by touching a dead person. This command applies to men and women alike. Remove them so they will not defile the camp in which I live among them.” So the Israelites did as the Lord had commanded Moses and removed such people from the camp.”
    ‭‭

    The lord does not want people that defile the camp that God lives umong

  23. Numbers 5 : 30 [Amp] Or when the spirit and jealousy and suspicion comes upon a man and he is jealous and suspicious of his wife; then shall He set the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute on her all the Law. Jealousy is dangerous, Why be jealous of each other, If there is one living for God and the other knows the truth be doesn’t live for God. We have a jealous God, And we should love God more than our spouse and family. He should be first in our lives. And each and everyone is responsible for our own sin. God is love , joy , peace, long suffering, meekness, gentleness, temperance. We should be thankful we have a God that loves us and protect us. I love Jesus and I thank him everyday for everything he has done . I have know reason to be jealous of anyone or anything. He provide everything we need. Jesus is all we need. Halula!

  24. 6Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;

    7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

  25. 6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;

    7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

    I am thankful for the Cross! Where all my sins have been washed away and thrown out 🙌🏼
    Thank you Jesus!

  26. I am the bride of Jesus Christ
    Every action has a reaction

    [6] Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord , and that person be guilty;
    [11] And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    John 2:7-13 KJV
    [7] Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
    8] And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it .
    9] When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
    10] And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
    11] This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
    12] After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
    13] And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,

  27. Numbers chapter 5

    reiterated the judgments and cleanliness laws within the camp of the Israelites. It began as God commanded Moses to put out of the camp every leper. They also had to remove those defiled by a running issue or dead body.

    Here were some judgements: if a man stole, he first had to confess to stealing then return the principal. In addition to this, he had to add 20% to principle from whom he stole from.

    The next section (of the chapter) spoke in regards to an adulterous woman whose husband became suspicious his wife was not faithful. If there were no witnesses and the spirit of jealousy came upon him regarding his wife, then he had to take his wife to the priest with an offering of memorial.

    Numbers 5
    This offering brought iniquity to remembrance. The priest would take holy water and pour on the floor. Then the elder set the woman before God and took off her headwear or head covering and gave her the offering of memorial (which is the jealousy offering).

    The priest then gave her bitter water that caused a curse; she drank that and took an oath. At this point, she could either confess that she’s been unfaithful or proceed with the oath.

    If she proceeded and was found guilty and cursed, her belly would swell and her thigh would rot. She’d be cursed among her people. But if she was found innocent, she would be free and still have the ability to have children in the future (she’d just give her husband a very hard time at home :)).

    This is the summary of Numbers chapter 5, glory to Honor, the God of Israel.

  28. I learned that The Lord gave these instructions to Moses: “Command the people of Israel to remove from the camp anyone who has a skin disease or a discharge, or who has become ceremonially unclean by touching a dead person. This command applies to men and women alike. Remove them so they will not defile the camp in which I live among them.” So the Israelites did as the Lord had commanded Moses and removed such people from the camp.”
    ‭‭

  29. “Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead: Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell. And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.”
    ‭‭
    The unclean or defiled were not allowed to stay in the camp.
    This is the same spiritually when we sin or be carnal we defile our minds and hearts and can’t not stay in the presence of God. We must God back to the cross and ask for forgiveness and be filled with his sprite again to get back into his kingdom.

  30. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

  31. 7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

  32. 28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
    29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;
    30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.
    31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

    This is tough stuff. I don’t even know how to respond. It was definitely a different time and a some could think of better or worse. But I know it would be nice as for some to see this actually happen. It would definitely fix a lot of problems in today’s world. Some people would think twice before defiling themselves. I would love to know what would have happened if the roles were reversed. What happened to the men in the same situation. These things where given and needed. Could you imagine the response in today’s world. A world where it’s sometimes not condemned but considered the norm.

  33. The chapter tells us that the purity of the Israeli camp takes so many ceremonial boundaries to protect the martial faithfulness of the Israeli children

  34. New Living Translation
    Isaiah 59:2
    It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. I never want to be separated from God and his grace. Thank you for cleansing me of my sins and dying on the cross to save us. Only the blood of Jesus . I’m sorry for ever offending you.

  35. 31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

    We alone will stand before the Lord someday. No one to help us except Jesus Christ our advocate. Otherwise, we stand alone and our sin will not be covered without the blood of Jesus applied to our lives as signified through baptizism and the Holy Ghost within us.

  36. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    Leprosy is symbolic of sin. Leprosy is not a skin disease, its attacks the nervous system. It takes all sensation from the victim. The person starts having infections and other issues because him or her does not feel cuts or lacerations on there skin.

    Its the same way that sin works. Sin numbs the infected person, that after a while that don’t feel pain from the cuts and lacerations of the world. They are to be put out of the camps because they can easily transmit the disease since they are always dealing with infection.

    Sin does that to people. It drives a wedge between the people of God and the world. That is why its difficult to befriend the world. We stop having things in common since the believer starts transitioning into a life style that revolves completely around Jesus.

  37. I thank God gor the opportunity to come unto him and confess. Yes, we will have to deal with whatever consequences may come with our sin but I’m glad we have a God who paid it all for us and shows us great grace and mercy.

  38. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

    6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty;

    In this setting of scripture it demonstrates how the instruction of God is to be observed and how we as the church should uphold it with high regard

    In this portion it demonstrates to me the high impact of sin, the seriousness of sin, the consequences that it brings into play. The order that God instructed against the element of sin in my opinion is a very serious element based on how God responds and instructed to excommunicate essentially those that had engaged in any form of sin.

    Perhaps the significance of this, in its particular form it would appear that their were those set apart to be watchful of those in the camp that were defiled, they were to remove anyone that were engaged in any element of sin. As a body of believers if one falters and brings on the weight of sin we as a body we do bare the weight of that trespass. I find it interesting after reading further into this that if those that had committed some sort of sin where not removed and taken out of the camp it would be as though all would be guilty thereof and they would be defiled as a whole.

    The whole idea of this certainly stands out to me, we as a blood bought church filled with the Holy Ghost cannot and should not contaminate this vessel that was purchased by way of a Holy sacrifice. IT was the holy lamb of God that was slain, he that is without sin, he that is Holy, he that is pure and upright I can see why he does not want us to be contaminated because he is a jealous God and the price he paid could not even be repaid. What a Holy God, he is worthy!

  39. 30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

    Breaking covenants such as in marriage before God is a grave offense here. The adulterous women is made to make her sins public by way of drink a water than would curse her making her barren. Jesus, met a women fixing to be stoned for a similar sin and gave us a better example of love and forgiveness. He didn’t sugar coat his response. He said the one who is without sin throw the first stone. The truth is even the priests are subject to sin because none of us is perfect. The lesson was revealed when Jesus said to go and sin no more. Though sin may be great his mercy is more for anyone who leaves their first love (God) is subject to the judgment of sin. But his grace is sufficient and he wants to forgive us if we repent. Change is hard and transforming is a painful process but Jesus is waiting with open arms.

  40. ““This is the ritual law for dealing with suspicion. If a woman goes astray and defiles herself while under her husband’s authority, or if a man becomes jealous and is suspicious that his wife has been unfaithful, the husband must present his wife before the Lord, and the priest will apply this entire ritual law to her.”(‭‭Numbers‬ ‭5:29-30‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

  41. 2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

    3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

    4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the Lord spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

    Thanks be unto our Lord Jesus because he has allowed that we may approach God with boldness and reach for the mercy seat. It is his love that paid the price and redeemed me.

  42. And the priest shall set the woman before the Lord , and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse: And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

    Jealousy is a show stopper, it can cause so many problems, sometimes, Jealousy can make you say and accuse people of things that arent even true. That’s why We shouldnt envy others or be jealous, because it opens other doors that are worse!
