Numbers 23

And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.

And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.

And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the Lord will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

And the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.

12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Lord hath put in my mouth?

13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.

16 And the Lord met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the Lord spoken?

18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that I must do?

27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

28 And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward jeshimon.

29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.

30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

  1. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

    A.L.M.A.S.

  2. 20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

The author of our story already knows what we’re about to do. What we’re gonna go through and how it’s gonna be used for his glory. We cant change anything the Lord has in store for us. Whether we’re happy about a situation or upset either way we need to move on and find the victory in every situation. Gods gonna use your current situation for the better in some way and I believe that in Jesus name.

  3. Sometimes it seems like we want to find something to complain about or poke holes in what God has given us, just because we don’t like the answer or the situation we are currently in. Balak was pushing and willing to go further and further to try to get the response he wanted out of Balaam. The Lord knows what we need, where we need to be and what is best for our spiritual growth rather than going after our flesh. Lord help us to seek your response, your direction and not be moved!

  4. How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

  5. 8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

No matter what happens, when you are blessed of God everything will turn out for the good. His protection is around you.

  6. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
    Numbers 23:19 KJV

Everything GOD has prepared, planned, and spoken is perfect! So why continue to question what HE does?
Remove your self righteousness ,pride and repent. Then maybe you can see clearly and understand His ways.

  7. Numbers 23 : 19 [Amp] God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [ For what He has promisec]. Has He said and shall He not made it good?
[2 Corinthians 8:9 ] For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearing the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ ( His kindness, His gracious generosity, His underserved favor and spiritual blessing, [ in] that through He was [ so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [ so very] poor, in order that His poverty you might become enriched
    ( abundantly supplied).
    Be bless in blessings.

  8. 8. How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

    If God has blessed it, don’t curse it;
If God has cursed it, don’t bless it.

    Leviticus 26:
    27. And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

    28. Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

  9. 23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.

If we could see what God saw and us or we could see what the enemy sees then our opinion and our confidence of ourselves what increase knowing what type of protection God has placed over us. Sometimes we get fixated on the things that are not happening in our favor that we completely miss out on the blessings that are already going on. That’s why it is important to look around us in two seek God our hearts to not only be purged and be made pure but for them to see things as He sees them.

  10. God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
    Numbers 23:19 NLT

What He says is so. If He speaks it, we can expect it. He will never fail; His Word is true.

  11. Numbers 23
God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?

    Hebrews 10:23
    WE)
23 We must hold on to God’s promise that we have said we believed. And we must never let go. He has promised and he will do it.

Balak wanted to curse God’s people but God kept blessing them. There is nothing too big for God . His blessings will come . His promises fulfilled. Keep believing! Live Jesus Give Jesus the joy comes in seeing tho promises fulfilled. I have held on to a vision for quite sometime . A promise from God
I keep it in the front of my mind and one day because God keeps His promises I will see it fulfilled. There had also been prophetic words spoken to me and I hold to those promises . God will keep them . Men forget their promises but God does not . If God said it He will do it!

  12. 19God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

There is something when a person asks a man or women of God to go against what is spoken to them by God. So many times the world will want us to do exactly opposite of what God has spoken to do or even say. Many times there will be opportunities to please those we are around, but I have come to learn in my years of living for God and that is we cannot go against what God has set into motion lest we be cursed. There is coming a day that many will wax cold for the things of the kingdom, but those that really know God will hold on to the words of God for comfort.

We must live the kingdom and live Jesus to give other s hope in the times that are just ahead. We have to take every opportunity to preach the truth of the word of God. Especially when it will segregate us from the world.

  13. We are warned about vain repetitions in our prayers. I believe the original instance was referring to Mathew 6:7 where it would seem one is a great prayer warrior because of all the words being spoken during the prayer. I also believe vain repetitions can relate to what we pray for. Balak was attempting to save his people and country. I can understand his desperation to continue to ask for God’s help.

I know that I have prayed for something many times. It is and was due to the immediate need at hand. Is it futile to pray for the same thing over and over again? I don’t think so, if we have not received “an” answer from God. If He has answered our prayer, especially with a no, then we need to leave the subject alone and rely on God and His timing.

  14. When we ask God what to do and ask him to tell us what to do, it’s not up for analization. It’s fact and he expects you to do it. God is God, perfect and flawless and founder of everything.

  15. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Some people never learn. They hear from God but they won’t accept what He said, they keep at it trying to change His mind. It seems a lot easier to submit under His word and will, than to continue to go against Him. God is not like us, He never lies, nor changes His mind. Thank you Jesus for being our Center, our Redeemer, and our Constant that never changes. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever and you Reign!!!!!

  16. We must really know why we are praying what we are praying. the Bible is always talking about prayers or actions that are not real or that are for personal gain and not what the Lord wants us to pray about. For the king was trying to get the man of God to do what he wanted but God would not do what he wanted because it was not of God.
Today we must find out what God wants and not what we want.

  17. 27 Then King Balak said to Balaam, “Come, I will take you to one more place. Perhaps it will please God to let you curse them from there.”

Just like Balak, we are hard headed and don’t want to accept the outcome of something. We continue to appeal to God trying to get the answer you want to hear. You continue to ask over and over hoping for a different verdict, but to no avail. God knows what is best for each of us.

  18. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
This reminds us that what God has blessed it cannot be reversed. Balak took Balaam through many different angles to curse God’s people. The response was the same every angle he took Balaam. The enemy will try every angle to curse you, but as a blessed child of God. He will find the same answer you are blessed. His Glory triumph over all evil. God has already prepared us and established our life, He is not a liar nor does he repent, He will do what he has stored for us.

  19. iLove Jesus
it doesn’t matter who curses you when you’re blessed, you just let those curses roll off your back like water off a duck.

Think about it, the Children of Israel were just complaining in an earlier chapter. Moses had just beat the rock, Aaron had just died, the snakes had just bitten the folks…but even though their relationship with God was not perfect, the enemy was still not allowed to curse the people and God still called them blessed.

    Someone say “I’m Blessed”

  20. 4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.

5 And the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

God didn’t have to speak to Balaam after all he was into sorcery and recognized many false gods. Maybe it was so he would come to respect the one true God. Either way if God can use any one or anything, He is going to use Balaam. He gave him a word to speak and so he will. The king may not like it but he will speak the truth and reveal to Israels enemies who the King of Kings really is.

  21. 23:23
No tricks divination will work on the people of Jacob no magic will work against Israel . People now say about them:
    “Look what God has done!!!”
    ——-
Thanks be to God. We are one in Christ Jesus now. 🙌🙌🙌
So I ( you) also partake of this powerful promise . ( declaration, statement).
The blood still works and it will never loose it’s POWER!.
    In Jesus name, amen.

  22. Numbers 23:11, “And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.”

We read in St. Matt. 5:44 and St. Luke 6:27-28 that we are to LOVE our enemies, DO GOOD to those who hate us, BLESS them that curse us, and PRAY for them that despitefully use us.”
“… we are to BLESS, and curse not.” Romans 12:14.

LOVE, DO GOOD, BLESS, and PRAY “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven…” St. Matt. 5:45

  23. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

This promise is for us today, God cannot lie! If he has spoken a promise to you, it will come to pass in his time. Bro Guy told us to make a list of our prayer needs and when it comes to mind, praise God for it. Backslider children coming home! Healing, deliverance, whatever the need, praise God for it when it comes to your mind! Thank you Jesus!

  24. “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23:19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“God is not a man” meaning He does not have this flesh that seeks to just please others even if you have to lie to do so.

We can trust that everything He speaks into our lives will come to pass!

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  25. “Then King Balak told him, “Come with me to another place. There you will see another part of the nation of Israel, but not all of them. Curse at least that many!” So Balak took Balaam to the plateau of Zophim on Pisgah Peak. He built seven altars there and offered a young bull and a ram on each altar.”

Balak was determined to curse at least a few of Israel but it was not the lords will

  26. 13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

Balak did not like the first answer so he thought changing locations, and going once again to God, would change God’s word to the people. However, we see that God’s word remained unchangeable, and instead of a curse God blessed Israel.

Balak was trying to harm the Israelites and the all knowing eyes of the Lord knew what was happening, and instead blessed the people.

This chapter enforces “no weapon formed against us shall prosper.” The situation may look bleak, and what the enemy means for evil, God can use for good.

The second principle I see here is that again like Balaam going back to God the second time to see if he should even go with Balak, we see Balak sending Balaam back again two additional times to see if God has changed his mind.

God is not controlled by our desires, and when He says No that’s what He means. Going back to Him repeatedly after we have received an answer, will just anger Him because we don’t trust His first answer.

We must learn the voice, know His voice, and listen to His voice. Don’t mix His voice with our desires and wants, because soon if we don’t listen to His voice, it will grow dim in our ears, and our flesh will rule us instead of our spirit man.

  27. “Balaam answered the servants of Balak, “Even if Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not do anything, either small or great, contrary to the command of the LORD my God.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭22:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Balaam did not wavier in his obedience to God. No matter the pressure or the offers from Balak. Balaam did not add or take away from with God wanted him to say.

  28. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    TRUTH

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

TRUTH and HONESTY is the nature and character of GOD. When we speak the name JESUS we are speaking TRUTH.

JESUS confirms the words of Balaam confirming the DEITY and HONESTY of GOD.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

To LIVE JESUS we must begin with TRUTH. TRUTH with GOD, Self and Others. One dishonest act will crack or fracture a lifetime of TRUTH. Seeing that GOD is not a man that he should lie, as we LIVE and GIVE JESUS we should be the same.

If we LIVE JESUS there will never be an occasion that we would need to lie. However if we live carnally and half hearted for GOD then dishonest will be a coverup for broken integrity.

    LIVE TRUTH (JESUS)
    GIVE TRUTH (JESUS)

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS

  29. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    FAITHFUL GOD

13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

Some people like Balak think that if they change churches or pastors GOD will change HIS mind or WORD for them. However we learn here that this is not so. If you change locations HIS WORD remains the same.

    STAY PUT and LIVE JESUS.

  30. 13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.

Again, the persistence of Balak can be seen in this passage. The enticement that he presented to Balaam is clearly evident, he again proceeds to take him to a high place, and tries to convince to commit to the curse that he so desired.

Balaam understood that he could not defy what God has instructed him to do, he confirms this by returning and telling Balak I cannot curse that of which has been blessed by God. I can undo what God has granted favor upon.

This demonstrates to me the power of God and the privilege that we have as his people to serve him. It is a high honor to be associated with Jesus Christ. The absolute credibility that he demonstrates to his people, he confirms that he is God and that he cannot lie, neither can he void his promises. He grants us his word that of which he promised ” I will NEVER leave nor forsake you, I will be with you yea even until the ends of the earth.” Then he gives us another promise, he said ” Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall NEVER pass away.”

This brings something to my mind, after reading these chapters over the last few days what a judgement that awaits us if we have this salvation at very little value. His commitment that he shows to us, his faithfulness that he exhibits, the love that he continually allows us to both see and feel, the call that he places on each of us. Not to mention the gifts that he imparts unto us, if we do not value and approach the matter with diligence and care, what a judgement.

In these chapters many of the elements of God can be seen, how he cared and protected his people and continues to do so. How he leaves us without doubt that what he says he will do, he gives us a eternal hope that is not to be denied by nobody. His blessings are settled, his favor is established. We do serve a great God.

We as the church serve a God that cannot be challenged, cannot be changed, cannot be broken, and cannot be subjected to any earthly law of mankind. His power is truly something that cannot be described as his everlasting to everlasting.

The elements of treasure that he has invested into us as the church cause me to reflect on the responsibility that we have on our shoulders, we are his people and what he has given to us and invested into us can never equate to what I possibly can do for him in any form or capacity.

What he merely did tell me to do, one of my favorite verses –

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Presenting this body a living sacrifice is just my reasonable service, it’s the least I can do. This so that my praise will be that of a sweet smelling savor, a worship that might be acceptable unto him. What a powerful God we serve today.

  31. Balaam tells King Balak to build him seven altars and then he sacrifices seven bulls and seven rams. Looks like Balaam has a lucky number.
Afterwards, God gives Balaam a message. He’s to tell King Balak that the Israelites are God’s people and can’t be cursed. In fact they’re blessed. So take that.
King Balak is totally annoyed. Seriously, Balaam! I brought you here to curse people and now you’re doling out blessings. I want a refund.
But Balaam explains that he only said what God told him to.
King Balak tries again. He asks Balaam to move to a different place and then has altars built and animals sacrificed in that spot.
Again, Balaam blesses the Israelites instead of cursing them on God’s command. Hey, he’s gotta listen to God, Balak.
Naturally, King Balak is even more annoyed this time. But because he’s not the sharpest knife in the royal drawer, he decides to try one more time. They move to a different place and build seven more altars and slaughter even more animals. Seriously? Is King Balak ever gonna learn?

  32. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

When we go before the Lord and request for Him to give us direction, do what He commands the first time. He can change any situation, but He may want us to change not the situation. Not every storm is to prove God can remove it, but that God can change our perspective.

  33. Números 23:18-24
“Entonces él tomó su parábola, y dijo: Balac, levántate y oye; escucha mis palabras, hijo de Zipor: Dios no es hombre, para que mienta, ni hijo de hombre para que se arrepienta. Él dijo, ¿y no hará? Habló, ¿y no lo ejecutará? He aquí, he recibido orden de bendecir; Él dio bendición y no podré revocarla.

    * “Balac, levántate y oye”

  34. I learned “Then Balaam said to King Balak, “Build me seven altars here, and prepare seven young bulls and seven rams for me to sacrifice.” Balak followed his instructions, and the two of them sacrificed a young bull and a ram on each altar. Then Balaam said to Balak, “Stand here by your burnt offerings, and I will go to see if the Lord will respond to me. Then I will tell you whatever he reveals to me.” So Balaam went alone to the top of a bare hill, and God met him there. Balaam said to him, “I have prepared seven altars and have sacrificed a young bull and a ram on each altar.” The Lord gave Balaam a message for King Balak. Then he said, “Go back to Balak and give him my message.” So Balaam returned and found the king standing beside his burnt offerings with all the officials of Moab. This was the message Balaam delivered: “Balak summoned me to come from Aram; the king of Moab brought me from the eastern hills. ‘Come,’ he said, ‘curse Jacob for me! Come and announce Israel’s doom.

  35. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

God is perfect and we shouldn’t question the Lord. His word is always true. We shouldn’t question God as He knows best!

  36. [3] And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the Lord will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

[8] How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

[29] And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.

(Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams)

This man is saying build ME
    And prepare ME 🤔

Just thoughts that run through my head; it’s not about me; did Noah build a big alter? 💭 I’m really surprised more people didn’t get on the ark; But when your full of lust, sin and full of carnality that makes you run from anything but looks like an altar… Jesus is God and MASTER of the wind and I know the power that His name has it delivers, sets free and heals, makes new etc. JESUS THE MOST POWERFUL NAME I KNOW…but as long as I live I will have the scars from battling things I never had to battle because I ran…. I feel in my heart being proactive and going ahead and doing right the first time is better than cleaning up a mess..

  37. “Then King Balak demanded of Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies. Instead, you have blessed them!” But Balaam replied, “I will speak only the message that the Lord puts in my mouth.””

“Then King Balak demanded of Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies. Instead, you have blessed them!” But Balaam replied, “I will speak only the message that the Lord puts in my mouth.””
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The king of Moab was understandably disturbed. He paid good money for a particular outcome, and it the opposite happened.

  38. 1 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.

2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.

Balak wouldn’t stop until he heard the answer he wanted to hear, but Balaam kept giving him the same word from God. Sometimes we as people hear from God and don’t like the answer we get and ask again or try it our own way but it will fail every time if God isn’t in it, God teach us to to trust in your answers and don’t question them, knowing you see all things.

  39. 5 And the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.

We should long for God to put his word in us. When we move self out of the way, God can do what he wants to do. We must open and ready to receive if we want a word from God. Be careful in what you do, your choices will affect your relationship with God. He desires to use us only if we’re willing to let him do what he wants to.

  40. 26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that I must do?

27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.

28 And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward jeshimon.

29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.

30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

If God is for you who can be against you? There is l possible way that God will bring evil to what he has blessed protected and taken care off. The question then becomes, where are you? Will you be for or against? It would be wise to live according to the ways, the word and commands of God that no matter which rises against you when you are for God, He will be for you.

  41. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Too often as humans we lean on our feelings which is why it is so important to walk in the spirit. What God had spoken is true for He is “the way, the truth, and the life…” The truth of His words goes beyond what we see, feel, or experience. Let us walk in the spirit and accept what God has spoken into our live for the now and the future. Better yet even for our past. When we repent our past is washed in the blood which cover our sins. So God says what sin and we should speak the same.

  42. 18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

In this message God did rebuke Balak. He taught him about the Divine nature. He is not a man, He does not lie or change His mind, He always acts on His word, and that He has all strength.
God also taught Balak about the people of God, how they were blessed, that they were walking in purity that God was with Israel, and He brought them out of Egypt. God protected them and despite it all He had never left them and He would see them through to victory.

  43. But Balaam replied, “I will speak only the message that the Lord puts in my mouth.”
    Numbers 23:12 NLT

Everytime we speak Jesus to someone we must make sure that we are in good communication with Him. We must know His voice so we can hear and speak what He wants us to say.

  44. 26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that I must do?

He was shook when that donkey spoke to him. Balak was really trying to get him to mess with the Israelites. “Let me show you another place.” But this time Balaam had consulted God first and was obedient.

  45. 26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the Lord speaketh, that I must do?

All too often, we allow our flesh to well up and we only do what we agree about, and not ALL that Jesus tells us. We build our convictions around what we want them to be, not what Jesus has told us…

  46. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
    Numbers 23:19 KJV

God will always kewp his word, whether good or bad. Always take heed of what He says, Jeremiah 29:11 says I have plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope and a future. As long as we live+give Jesus and seek first the King, He will supply our every need and the desires of our heart

  47. 8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

What came to me was the blame of this society to quickly judge Christians for judging people when they are just speaking the Word of God.

Most say, “Doesn’t the Bible day not judge people?” Actually it says to Judge righteously. Whats unfortunate about most is that they are “living in sin” and when you come at them with biblical scripture they get irritated or defensive. When they shouldn’t, instead they should receive the rebuke in repentance. If we judge, it should be free or our opinion and full of Gods word with the intent to lead to repentance.

  48. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Fatherof lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

  49. 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

It says that God shouldn’t have to repent. It states in the Bible that He repents for having made mankind. God made us in His image. If He can want to repent for something He made, we can certainly take to His example for repenting and turning away from things in our lives that may not need to be there.

  50. Can you hear that? The King is here

21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

It was not that Jacob knew no sin but rather that God had mercy on them. His grace was over them and Jacob knew it. Knowing that we have unmerited favor with God should make us shout. Knowing that God lies us through our shortcomings and invites us in anyways should keep a praise on our lips. God was not overlooking Jacobs sin but giving Israel the opportunity to be victorious.

The shout refers to the blowing of the silver trumpets that are for announcement of a Lord or King. When it is said the shout is among them it means that the trumpets are blowing because the King is with them.

Baalam is saying How can I curse them?? Cant you hear that?? The noise of the King is with them.

This plays true in our lives. If the enemy hears the Trumpets in our lives then he knows that the King is with us. He can hear the praises going up and there is no use trying to curse someone who is already victorious. The enemy can hear our praise going up and he knows its a losing battle. It is when we become quiet the enemy knows he has got an opening.

Let us live loud before our enemies with a praise and a trumpet to announce that our King is with us! Begin our day with a praise to tell anyone who is listening that I will be victorious today.

  51. “And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether. And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Lord hath put in my mouth?”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sometimes we don’t do what people expect or any us to do, instead we do what God asks us to do. Sometimes people don’t understand this because they are used to doing things their way and being self centered. We can’t worry about the world, we just need to follow Jesus.

  52. 8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?
9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

Some of us need to hear this lesson given to us. “How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?” How could we have the nerve and audacity to talk against or bash someone that God has not condemned. If God has not touched them, then neither should we.

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
