Numbers 24

And when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!

As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the Lord hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

11 Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the Lord hath kept thee back from honour.

12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,

13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Lord, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the Lord saith, that will I speak?

14 And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.

15 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

16 He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.

19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

20 And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.

22 Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.

23 And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

24 And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.

25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

  1. 10And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times. 11Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour. 12And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying, 13If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak? 14And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.

As many times as the enemy will try to talk you out of God’s word, you will have to make a decision on whether you keep the word of God or turn away from it for the pleasures of this world. I find that no matter how many times you tell the world no, they will continue to try to derail you. We have to remember what God has spoken to us no matter how many times we push them out of our way. Balak told Balaam that he thought to promote him to great honour , but he even stated Balaam listening to God and God kept him back from honour. Isn’t that just ironic.

Here it is the enemy of God’s chosen goes to a prophet of God to see if he would curse the children of Israel, God’s chosen. And the Lord spoke to Balaam to bless them instead of going with Balak. Remember the enemy of God is our enemy no matter the shape, size, fashion or form. We will have either live Jesus to give Jesus to others or we will live the world and give heartache and strife.

The scripture states we can not serve two masters. We have to stand on one side or the other. We can straddle the fence. The choice is yours and mine alone to make.

    I choose Jesus.

  2. Numbers 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him : and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

  3. Numbers 24: 16-17 [Amp] He speaks, who heard the words of God and knew the knowledge of the Most High , who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling down, But having his eyes open and uncovered.
[17] I see Him, But not now; I behold Him, But He is not near, A star ( Star) shall come forth our of Jacob, and a scepter ( Scepter) shall rise our of Israel and shall rise our of Israel and shall crush all the sons of Sheth [ Moab’s sons of tumult].
[ Romans 15:12 [Amp] And further Isaiah says , There shall be a Sprout from the Root of Jess , He Who rises to rule over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles hope.
Rev. 5:5] Then one of the elders [ of the heavenly Sanhedrin] said to me , Stop weeping ! See, the Lion of tribe of Judah, the Root ( Source) of David, has won ( has overcome and conquered)! He can open the scroll and break its seven seals! Jesus is coming back soon ! Jesus let your kingdom come and your will be done. Repent !

  4. Verse 3 AMP “He took up his [third] discourse (oracle) and said: “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, And the oracle of the man whose eye is opened [at last, to see clearly the purpose and will of God],”. This reminded me of what Pastor has told us before about praying with your eyes open. If we don’t keep our eyes open, we can miss our blessing all together because we are focused on other things, rather than what God wants for us.

Hebrews 13:20-21 AMP “Now may the God of peace [the source of serenity and spiritual well-being] who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood that sealed and ratified the eternal covenant, equip you with every good thing to carry out His will and strengthen you [making you complete and perfect as you ought to be], accomplishing in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 AMP “in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” Stay focused (20/20 vision) LIVE-GIVE JESUS!

    BLESSED

10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

Man and rulers may attempt to curse the people of GOD, but man cannot curse what GOD has BLESSED. This is not the reason to LIVE and GIVE JESUS, however it can be motivation to LIVE and GIVE JESUS.

The BLESSED are the people with GOD. We cannot GIVE Blessings if we are not BLESSED. The people of GOD are most powerful when we LIVE in OBEDIENCE to the voice of GOD and follow through with HIS will in all our actions.

Balak attempted to turn Balaam to his will and plan, but Balaam choose to please, honor and obey the voice of GOD and could only GIVE what GOD had Given him.

  6. 8. God brought him forth out of Egypt;
he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

He brought me out of the miry clay
He set my feet on the Rock to stay
He puts a song in my soul today
    A song of praise, hallelujah!

    He gave me a song
    ‘Twas a new song of praise;
    By day and by night
It’s sweet notes I will raise
    My heart’s overflowing
    I’m happy and free
    I’ll praise my Redeemer
    Who has rescued me.

I’ll sing of His wonderful mercy to me
I’ll praise Him till all men
    His goodness shall see
I’ll sing of salvation at home and abroad
Till many shall hear the truth
    And trust in God

  7. ‘Even if Balak were to give me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of the Lord .’ I told you that I could say only what the Lord says!
    Numbers 24:13 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/num.24.13.NLT

We would get so much accomplished in advancing the Kingdom and even in our personal lives if we took the stance. We are powerless against the will of the Lord and will not oppose it.

  8. 1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

Nothing can stop the blessings of God. When you are doing right and God chooses to bless you there is nothing on this Earth that can stop him. That’s a confidence that we should have that we know God has got our back covered no matter the situation.

  9. ‘Even if Balak were to give me his palace filled with silver and gold, I would be powerless to do anything against the will of the Lord .’ I told you that I could say only what the Lord says!
    Numbers 24:13 NLT

A true man of God will speak only what the Lord speaks. Balaam could have made up some silly curse but he knew better and was committed to delivering the Word of God. In such a time and season, do not shy away from your apostolic beliefs (i.e. the Word of God). Do not be afraid to speak His Word; it’s what He has called us to do!

  10. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

When God means to bless you NOTHING NOR ANYONE CAN STOP HIM!!! There is nothing anyone can do to stop your blessing!!! Hallelujah!! May the blessings of the Lord fall upon Israel and POFW!! May there be birthings both spiritually and physically. May the wombs be open, may we nurture the blessings until they mature in Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏻

  11. 10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

11 Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the Lord hath kept thee back from honour.

We cannot believe the lie of the enemy that if we follow/bow to the worldly ways, we will be promoted and lifted up. This is why Balak promised to Balaam for cursing God’s people, but God would not allow the curse and instead blessed. Balak threw it up in Balaam’s face that he intended to raise him up with honor, but God would not allow it. If we are promoted through worldly means, it is only for a season, because those that do the deeds of the flesh eventually will be cut off from the true blessings of the Lord, and spiritual death is imminent.

It may look like we’re not being honored in the Kingdom of God for doing / saying what is right, but just hold on, keep doing what we’re doing. Judgement day is coming and our reward will be great if we are serving the Kingdom of God rather than the kingdom of man/flesh.

  12. 1 And when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

If God has called you blessed, no man can curse you.

8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

He will put a hedge of protection around you. And He Himself will handle those that tried to come against you!

  13. (24:1 MSG by now Balaam realize that God wanted to bless Israel
So he didn’t work in any sorcery, as he had done earlier
. He turned and looked out over the wilderness, as Balaam looked he saw Israel camped tribe by tribe, then the Spirit of God came into him and he spoke his oracle message.

    ———

So we see that Balaam had his own type of doctrine, his teachings were wrong, yet he also heard from the Lord.
I love it when it says: he turned”.( something about turning the other way….) Some kind of Conviction clicked I believe. Oh the Lord is good 🙌. He understood something about the Lord, he saw something in the Lord that didn’t happened before.

  14. Balaam held his ground from the beginning that he would not go against what God would tell him to do and say. Of course, Balak didn’t like that continued to press for a different answer. I have found myself in the same scenario. I want God to move in a particular way and I either do not get an answer to the prayer or the answer is different that I want. How do we deal with this?

The fact is, we decide what we want to believe. When we read God’s word or petition through prayer, we can decide to heed only the things that line up with our way of thinking. We can interpret the Bible through to our comfort and preferences. We can turn away from difficult messages and listen only to what we want to hear.

If we choose this path, we’ll often feel good! If we are honest with ourselves, we know that is not the best option. Rather, we can let the Word of God shape what we believe. We can choose to listen to and believe both what is comfortable and uncomfortable. Of course it is not easy but are only serving God for what is easy and makes us feel good or are we serving the Lord because of who He is?

  15. 8 God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

God brought the Israelites out of Egypt and has the power to do anything he so pleases. He compares his strength to that of a unicorn. Of course he doesn’t mean the mythical creatures we see today of a horse with a horn on its head. In earlier times a unicorn was a rhino with one horn verses the two horns they have today. Anyways, the Almighty God has the power to bless and curse whom he pleases and no power hungry king will get in his way. He destroyed Egypt to free his people and just imagine what God could do to Balak’s kingdom if he felt like it.

  16. The most essential element

7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.

I have often thought about how God uses water often in his promises to Israel. It seems to be an everyday thing to us. Why is it such a big deal to Israel? The answer is how thirsty are you? The Israelites came form hard labor in the desert, they were always thirsty. They had water on their mind constantly. If you have ever worked in this Texas heat in the summer time you can relate but it was even greater thirst than that. When the wind would pick up it would blow sand into your eyes and month or anywhere else. Thirst was a real issue in Israel.

So what is the most essential element? It takes all of them to survive. The most essential element is always the one in which you are lacking at the time. if you have plenty of water but you are freezing to death then fire would be the most essential to you at that time.

The natural water given to them that thirst
    Dut 8:15
He led through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground were there was no water; He brought water for you out of the rock of flint.

The spiritual water given to them that thirst
    1 Cor 10:3-4
and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from the spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ

    John 4
The woman at the well asked Jesus for a drink and he replies with the revelation of the most essential element ” with the water I will give you, you will never thirst again”

    John 7:37-38
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

The rivers flow freely around us. We are blessed and favored of God to know him and experience him in such a mighty way at the POFW. But let us not grow complacent in our thirst for him. We have plenty of water but we have to remain thirsty.

Jesus alone is the most essential element

  17. 2 And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

3 And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

4 He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

5 How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!

6 As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign aloes which the Lord hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.

7 He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.

10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

Sometimes the thing/person(s) that the enemy means to destroy us, is the very thing that God uses to bless us! What the enemy meant for bad, God meant for my good!!

  18. 12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,

13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Lord, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the Lord saith, that will I speak?

Reading on who Balaam was, I found he was a well known or famous diviner. He could hear from many spirits and even employed to bring a curse, God stepped in and prevented it and gave him blessings to speak and even a vision of things to come for Israel. Satan cant curse what God has blessed and He will continue to cover us when the enemy comes in like a flood against us.

  19. Numbers 24
3 ‘Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord—and I must say only what the Lord says’?

This world tries to buy out God’s people. Even churches do the same thing. They hire a leader and tell them what to speak. I sat in the midst of. a congregation who had plenty of silver and gold they wanted someone just to appease their conscience thankfully the man of God said no!
I’ve been speaking to individuals lately about integrity . Balaam shows it on these scriptures. He states again that it did not matter how much could be given him . Integrity does not bend nor bow to pressure of anything . Also integrity really is laying self aside. What are you truly doing with your life. Major corporations seek for people with integrity .
It’s not what can be given to you but what can you give as an individual. Sometimes there is a high price to pay walking away from a high dollar offer position because of integrity. Balaam had to be obedient to God! Bottom line. I once read a story a major corporation was asking a man to do something against the policy set down and against the MSN’s integrity . Oh if he would proceed position and plenteous payment would be his reward . There was someone else seeking the same position both were offered the same reward for going against policy they were to maintain. The first man turned the offer down and went home sadly to his wife and told her he would no longer have a job. The second man did as was asked . The next day both received a phone call to return to the office . Yes! The man with integrity was granted the job the other fired . God is looking for people who be obedient to His word His commandments. Don’t allow anything to rob you with your walk with God! God will reward and bless . So Balaam blessed the people instead of cursing them just as God commanded. Be bold be courageous God is our strength. Live Jesus Give Jesus I must say what only God has said! This is why the importance of knowing scripture is about. I cannot do anything on my own accord !
    Good or bad !

  20. And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

I know its tempting to think Balaam was a man of God…Well, Balaam had a “gift” for sure. Just cause folks have spiritual gifts don’t make them men of God. Notice in verse 1 where it tells us “but he set his face toward the wilderness”…

You see, he continued to try to get another answer by trying other tactics. God was not impressed with all the sacrifices, and God was not impressed with Balaam’s gifts. God was more interested in blessing his children.

  21. Numbers 24:11, “Therefore now flee unto thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour, but, lo, the Lord hath kept the back from honour.”

“The Lord hath kept thee back”
The devil wants to make things look and sound good to us, BUT we need to be “Thankful” to God for stepping in and “keeping us back” from things that would destroy us.

  22. 3-9″ Decree of Balaam son of Beor, yes, decree of a man with 20/20 vision;
Decree of a man who hears God speak, who sees what The Strong God shows him,
Who falls on his face in worship, who sees what’s really going on.” MSG

What makes someone a person with 20/20 Vision?

The answer can be found in the scripture above:
    • Who Hears God Speak
    • Sees What The Strong God Shows Him
    • Falls on His Face in Worship
    • Who Sees What’s Really Going On

All attributes of someone living a life with a relationship with Christ, and ultimately an example for us to strive after.

How? John 1:1 tells us “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” So, Get in the WORD.

When we spend time HEARING the Word, SEEING the Mighty Works through the scriptures, and allowing it to move us to WORSHIP Him. We will then truly know “What’s Really Going On”.

  23. 13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Lord, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the Lord saith, that will I speak?

Don’t be afraid to preach truth, i.e. the Word of God. That is all that is needed.

  24. Numbers 24:10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them three times.

How often has an aquaintence, a friend, or a co-worker gossiped about someone? Are you to do the same thing? When we know someone is asking us to do something that the Lord will not approve of, stand your ground and do what is right. People often want to “fit in” so follow along. Be strong and set an example to others by doing what is right!

  25. “King Balak flew into a rage against Balaam. He angrily clapped his hands and shouted, “I called you to curse my enemies! Instead, you have blessed them three times. Now get out of here! Go back home! I promised to reward you richly, but the Lord has kept you from your reward.””
    ‭‭

Balak was mad that he wouldn’t curse them but it wasn’t the lords will

  26. “And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times. Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the Lord hath kept thee back from honour. And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Lord, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the Lord saith, that will I speak? And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭24:10-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When God speaks a blessing over your life NO ONE can take it away from you. As much as our enemies may what to curse us or ruin our testimony God has already established a blessing for us. God has open the door that no man can shut.

  27. 13 ‘Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord—and I must say only what the Lord says’?

AMÉN!!! enough said!!! No matter what treasures we have here, we can’t do anything without Gods command. We can’t even open our eyes if the Lord says no. We are no one without Jesus!!! He’s the one that gives us the breathe!!! He’s beyond powerful and full of miracles!!! If you haven’t thought of a miracle that He has done for you, just look at the mirror and know that everything you see He created!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

  29. 13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the Lord, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the Lord saith, that will I speak?
No matter what the world promise you! God has something better for you. Don’t fall into temptation.

  30. 25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

Undoubtedly, both were disappointed and perhaps angry, each because Israel had not been weakened spiritually and therefore made ready for defeat in battle. Balak wanted Israel defeated, and Balaam wanted Balak’s money, but each wanted Israel spiritually cursed as a way to get it, and God would not curse Israel.
Balak knew where the strength of Israel was. He did not seek to defeat Israel through military strategy or new weapons. He knew it was a spiritual battle, and if Israel won the spiritual battle, they would certainly win the military battle.

We should walk in the same awareness. If we did, we would give more time and attention to building our spiritual strength, in having a close walk with Jesus. We should not allow Balak to be more perceptive about spiritual things than we are.

  31. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

This scriptures shows us how beautiful is when we are blessed by the Lord. His blessing are like a seal that cannot be broken. Once the Lord establishes blessings upon you, not even the enemy can interfere with what the Lord has for you. The beauty of it is that you are also given the strength to break down the enemy! It amazes me how loving God is to us. That makes me want to give my all to Him and give Jesus to others!

  32. So, what does Balaam do at this new place? Surprise, surprise—he blesses Israel… and curses King Balak. Snap!
By this point, King Balak is fuming. What the schmoop, Balaam?! You just blessed my enemies three times! Are you some kind of moron?! Just think—you coulda been rich if you weren’t so busy following God and all that junk.
In my defense, Balaam tells him, I did tell you I couldn’t go against God. Plus, you’re the dummy who kept running around building altars.
So, Balaam offers Balak one last prediction. He tells him that Israel is going to utterly crush him and anyone else who opposes them.
Why? Because they’ve got God on their side.

  33. 11 Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the Lord hath kept thee back from honour.

    Psalm 34:8
8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Some people say you don’t know what your missing living for God and say you could do this or that, but they haven’t tasted and seen what God is about yet obviously. If they could only know God’s love and mercy and know the truth for it states in Psalms 84 :10 that a day in his courts is better than a thousand and that I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Thank God for everything he does for us the seen and the unseen.

  34. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

God knows the intent of the heart. Nothing is too little or too big for him. In this case no matter the situation God will not stand evil he blesses those that bless others and curses those that curse others. A rude awakening to those that seek evil doing it will not stand.

  35. 23 And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

24 And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.

25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

We should walk in the same awareness. If we did, we would give more time and attention to building our spiritual strength, in having a close walk with Jesus.

  36. 9 Like a lion, Israel crouches and lies down; like a lioness, who dares to arouse her?
Blessed is everyone who blesses you, O Israel, and cursed is everyone who curses you.”

If you bless others, you’ll be blessed. If you curse other, you’ll be cursed. So what do you want? to be blessed or cursed? Pray that the blessings be upon you and those around you.

  37. Upon him: notwithstanding

[2] And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
3] And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
4] He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance , but having his eyes open:

1 Samuel 18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand.

Genesis 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

  38. 25 And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

So Balaam rose and departed….Theres no doubt both were disappointed and angry. Balak wanted Israel defeated, and Balaam wanted Balak’s money, but both wanted Israel spiritually cursed as a way to get it but God would not curse Israel. One thing Balak knew it was a spiritual battle, and if Israel won the spiritual battle, they would definitely win the military battle.
That being we should walk in the same awareness. If we did we would give more time and attention to building our spiritual strength and having a closer walk with Jesus. We should not allow the enemy to be wiser about our spirituality, Lord help us to always be aware.

  39. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

10 And Balak’s anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.

The Lord takes care of his own people. Blessed are those that bless Israel and cursed those that curse it. This is better than any insurance or what the world has to offer. The favor of the Lord is more blessing than what the world has to offer. Seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness and all else shall be added.

  40. 9 He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.

We are the children of God and we are one with him. When we someone blesses us it’s like blessing him. Let us be watchful of our words and gentle with our rear

  41. 12 And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,

Balaams hands were tied with this one, this is what was going to happen and not a whole house full of silver and gold is going to change that. Balaam couldn’t go against the commandment of the Lord.

Israelites were promised the land of Canaan, and God smote down every opposition that stood in their way. Being a child of God gives us this same promise and the same backup. Its his commandment that we enter into Canaan. The lord commands us to prosper. Our enemies our opposers cannot stand in the way of God’s command.

  42. 18 And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
19 Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.

We don’t deserve, but God gives us possessions. Not only possessions, but He then declares we shall be valient as well! The children of Israel, AKA the children of God shall and will have DOMINION!! We shall DETROY all sin and evil!! Let’s be the church!! Let’s be the children of God.
