Everything in the Bible has a purpose. There’s a reason for what God allowed to be placed in the book that we call the “word of God”well some scriptures may not be as exciting as others there is a purpose for it. The word of God tells us, well they sins Of our Father may not be visited upon us it doesn’t mean it won’t have any effect. To each our own, God has always given us but we are able to handle and according to the fruit that we provide. Here, the word of God tells us in great detail the importance of knowing where you came from and where you are as it relates to where you’re going. Jesus deals out but we are able to handle as well as what he knows we are faithful in. To whom much is given, much shall be required. May we acknowledge the word of God and every aspect as it teaches us more about the nature of God

  2. 63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Even when the going is good, some think that because God had spoken once, he would not speak again on the same things. In this instance when the children were numbered, there was still that generation of people that saw God bring them out of bondage, but would not taste the blessing there of. They would only have a wilderness experience. They would not have a Canaan experience. Sometimes we can run from our past, but our past will always find a way to come out. That’s why it’s important to follow Jesus even when it looks like the circumstances are overwhelming and there is no way out. Remember when God is in it, we will be able to come through it.

We have to have all faith that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or do. We have to live Jesus so we can give Jesus to those that are lost and dying in a world of chaos. We have to be about the kingdom of God. We have to shake the foundation of Hell and let the devil know we are still standing and we are going to do all we can to stand.

  3. 65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

We should never take for granted our Wonderful Redeemer JESUS Christ. Every time I read this chapter I see it as Israel’s judgement. Without Christ judgement is inevitable but with Christ there is Hope of everlasting life. There will still be a day of judgement but we still have time to be Baptized in Jesus Name and receiving the Sweet Counselor the Holy Ghost. The price of sin is death but by Jesus Grace we can be brought to everlasting life. Thank you Jesus for being our Redeemer!!!

    Stand Up and Be Counted

What is my life mirroring is it a true reflection of the High Priest Jesus. Live Give Jesus……..

Out of all the census being taken one daughter is mentioned from the tribe of Ager. Asher was one of Jacobs son. For some reason this girl was mentioned . The census was to be a census of males above 20 years old. I did some research on this woman. Even her name became a legend due to her sensitivity and morals she held. I did copy and paste for what I found was very interesting and believe should speak volumes to young and old women and men alike.
I wonder if she is mentioned due to the fact that the previous chapter was based upon the sinning that’s had been going on . Yet right in the midst of the crowds and crowds of people was a woman of integrity . The following is what I found so interesting.

    Copied and pasted
“Apparently Asher’s daughters were renowned for being lovely and refined, which made them most appealing to the family of priests. These women would best understand and support the priest’s work, since they mirrored the core nature of his responsibilities.

He looked for a wife who would understand the nature of his work, and he found the best candidates amongst the daughters of Asher. Their exquisite modesty demonstrated an internal commitment to spirit over flesh, and an immense respect for the body that housed their soul. Unknowingly, they projected their genuine commitment through their physical appearance—for the beauty of the soul shone unhindered through the body that perfectly reflected it. They were living embodiments of the tablets, and thus the priest saw in the daughter of Asher a perfect partner.

Asher’s daughters were also remarkable mothers. With their modesty and integrity, they transmitted a firm sense of commitment to their children: the unspoken message of one who values G‑d’s impression more than the social impression, and the beauty in maintaining appropriate boundaries. These children were healthy, emotionally and spiritually, fit to be high priests—each one of them.

So although Asher’s tribe was not numerous, the children were of such exceptional quality that one child gave their parents as much nachas (satisfaction) as many children combined.

It is no wonder that all eligible bachelors of Israel vied for the modest daughters of Asher. “
(Copied and pasted marked with quotations)

How remarkable that because of modesty and values this woman appears in the midst of all these men.
Women of God hold high values . Keep integrity. Do not seek the things of this world. Stay in the word hold fast to Gods Biblical principles. Stand up and be counted . You are making a difference by what you reflect. Men choose wisely for if the call of God is upon your life seek for the one that will complement your ministry. If you are already married encourage your wife to maintain modesty and she does not have like to be like the world. Fathers love your daughters teach them hold them close encourage them to seek the things of God .

After all the tribulation that the Children of Israel struggled with while in Egypt, it is sad that only a small group were able to enter the Promise Land. I pray the God stir His people with a desire the finish the race that is set before us.

    Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

    1 Corinthians 9:24
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

    Hebrews 12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

  6. Verses 1-2 MSG “After the plague God said to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, “Number the entire community of Israel by families—count every person who is twenty years and older who is able to serve in the army of Israel.” Do not get caught down for the count; but, rather gird up (your garment of praise and your sword) and be ready to be counted in the army of God. It is time to declare and be ready for the Unrestricted Revival and Surprise Harvest. LIVE-GIVE Jesus!

  7. God has a plan for us and it does not change. We just have to seek him and pray and trust him so we are ready to accept our next mission.

What we do effects generations to come. Aaron’s sons offered strange fire, piloted praise unto God and they died because of it. However, here we find that when it came time to be counted and given an inheritance, their decedents were counted but they received no inheritance.

As parents we must rise up and serve the Lord with all our being so that those that come after us will have the opportunity for a spiritual inheritance.

  9. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    NUMBERED

62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

GOD is not a man that he could lie. This chapter should quicken our hearts to see that GOD not only keeps his promise of BLESSING, but he also keeps his promise of Judgement. GOD keeps good records and we must make sure that our name is on the register. GOD is a keeper of HIS Word.

The inheritance of land was according to their number. Such as will ours be, those that are numbered after the Name of JESUS will be joint heirs with HIM.

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

My inheritance is with JESUS. iLive in HIM and iGive HIM to all that will hear and receive.

    iRepent

  10. 64Not one person on this list had been among those listed in the previous registration taken by Moses and Aaron in the wilderness of Sinai. 65For the LORD had said of them, “They will all die in the wilderness.” Not one of them survived except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

God kept his promise, that one generation did not see the promise land. You as parents, teach your generation and the next one about God. Don’t let a generation go by and forget about God. Pass the Word of God down to your children. For if they don’t know about the Word, spiritually they are dead.

  11. 26:64 for the Lord has said of them , they will surely die in the wilderness, and there was not left a man of them, caleb the son of jepuhnee and Joshua the son of Nun.
    ——-
Two, only two out of a multitude.
We can see that It does matter.
Let us keep walking in faith, standing for righteousness
Looking at the one who saved us all. Jesus.
Even if it’s just you ( you) believing. Keep on keeping on.
Because sees and hears and knows what’s in our hearts.

  12. 2. Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their fathers’ house, all that are able to go to war in Israel.

This is no time to hide behind the couch 🛋 or under the bed 🛏, but as Pastor was saying last night, we need all able fighters to help us fight against the spirits opposing God’s will. So let’s rise up and be counted among those able to go to war for the lost!

    Rise up, be counted
It’s time to take your place
    The name of Jesus
    Is worthy to be praised
    Our God is ready
Our King is soon to come
    Satan’s defeated
    The battle’s already won
It’s time to let the Church

    Rise up, take your place
    Declare the victory
Of the Lord in this place
    Rise up, show your strength
Raise up a banner of praise
    Let the Church rise

  13. [56] According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.

    Luke 9:62 KJV
[62] And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

  14. iLove Jesus
11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.

I find it interesting that some of Korah’s children lived even though most perished when the earth swallowed them up. There are even several Psalms dedicated to these sons of Korah showing God’s love and grace toward them. This is prime example of God’s judgement not intended for destruction but it is aimed at deliverance.

  15. To Aaron were born Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. But Nadab and Abihu died [in the presence of God] when they offered [in their ceremonial censers] strange [unholy, unacceptable, unauthorized] fire before the Lord .
    Numbers 26:60‭-‬61 AMP

It shows that you can raise a family(children) in obedience, in prayer, in teaching, in living, and in relationship with GOD. Still your child will make their own decisions in life. Yet the consequences are great if not living a godly life! I thank you Jesus for your mercy and love you have for our and all children.

    “Our children ARE coming home!”

  16. Numbers 26 [2] Take the sum of all congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their father ‘s house, all that are able to go to war. Stand up and be counted we’re are the army that rising up “Halaula “

  17. 62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

65 For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

    • Generations…. The generation of Sinai all died out before they could inherit their promise. The carried around their promise and wonder in the wilderness until they all died. Now the next generation would inherit it. I pondered on this nearly all day, and maybe im wrong but why set up for the next generation why not claim our inheritance this generation. I don’t just want my children to inherit the promise i want in on that too.

  18. 26 And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel……

The purpose of the census was to preserve the distinction of families and to help make arrangements and prepare them to enter into the promised land. When I read all the detail in the numbering of tribes, and the portion of each tribe given that was to be greater or less according to the number of each. It shows me how hard they worked to keep themselves organized and how much preparation they put into entering the promised land. Lord I pray that I pay attention to the efforts that I make in preparing not only myself but family to enter into your kingdom. Thank you Jesus for speaking to me!!

  19. Numbers 1:44, “These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered,…”
Numbers 26:63, “And these are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest,…”

I was curious, so I had to look at a commentary to figure this out… The first number is the numbering of Moses and Aaron. The second number is the numbering of Moses and Eleazar.
    Reuben: 46,500-43,730 = 2770 (a decrease of 6%)
    Simeon: 59,300-22,200 = 37,100 (a decrease of 63%)
    Gad: 45,650-40,500 = 5,150 (a decrease of 11%)
    Judah: 74,600-76,500 = 1,900 (an increase of 3%)
    Issachar 54,400-64,300 = 9,900 (an increase of 18%)
    Zebulun: 57,400-60,500 = 3,100 (an increase of 5%)
    Ephraim: 40,500-32,500 = 8,000 (a decrease of 20%)
    Manasseh: 32,200-52,700 = 20,500 (an increase of 64%)
    Benjamin: 35,400-45,600 = 10,200 (an increase of 29%)
    Dan: 62,700-64,400 = 1,700 (an increase of 3%)
    Asher: 41,500-53,400 = 11,900 (an increase of 29%)
    Naphtali: 53,400-45,400 = 8,000 (a decrease of 15%)
    TOTAL: 603,550-601,730 = 1,820 (a decrease of 0.3%)

This made me think about the records Pastor and Sis. Watts keep on Attendence, 1st Time Guests, Baptisms, and Infilling of the Holy Ghost. It made me think of when Pastor tells us about the Increases and Decreases of all these things.

    Everyone’s counted and Everyone matters!

  20. 11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not

Come to Jesus on your own. It may just be that your parents were not the best and or they may have a committed sins and transgressed against the Lord. The best thing is that there is hope. That you are not your father or your mother but you have the same opportunity to follow after God on your own.

  21. 63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

  22. God sees where we are. He sees our lineage, our ancestry. Where we come from. Where we’re going. He knows the choices our parents have made and how that has impacted and shaped us, but it will not define us. Our identity is to be in Christ alone.

  23. 10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.

All of our mistakes are examples. Life lessons if you want. Even when you just learn what not to do, it. An prove to be the most valuable lesson.

  24. Not one person on this list had been among those listed in the previous registration taken by Moses and Aaron in the wilderness of Sinai. For the Lord had said of them, “They will all die in the wilderness.” Not one of them survived except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
    Numbers 26:64‭-‬65 NLT

Just as the Lord said it would be. Be careful thinking you’ll get away with it, you’re possibly just robbing yourself in the end of God’s promises.

  25. “Not one person on this list had been among those listed in the previous registration taken by Moses and Aaron in the wilderness of Sinai.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭26:64‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Everyone was accounted for.
In this chapter we see the value in accountability, my number one goal on bus is to make sure everyone is accounted for. It’s not always easy but that’s why we have different ways for the children to be accounted for. We have an attendance sheet, we have lanyards with names and once we get to the church we have a digital scanner, and this is all for accountability. God obviously sees value in people being accounted for.

  26. “But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.”

Be careful little mouth what you say. Complaining doesn’t go well with God. We need to guard our mouths and be careful not to speak in murmuring, complaining, and evil reports.

  27. 10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.

11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.

These sons go on to father children who live for God and are again mentioned in scripture. Aren’t we thankful that we are not punished for the sins of our families? We each must be accountable to God for our ownselves and be thankful for his mercy and grace!
