Numbers 34

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:

And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:

And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.

And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.

And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:

From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:

And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.

10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:

11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:

12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.

19 And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

22 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.

23 The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

27 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

  1. What caught my attention in this chapter, was how God was still giving detailed instructions as He continued to speak to Moses, leaving no question and no issue unaddressed as to who would be even doing the dividing of the promised land. Then I read the caption before this chapter in the VOICE version:

Aaron is now dead, and Moses is given the final instructions about the division of the land. Even knowing he will not enter the land, Moses doesn’t whine or step back from leadership. He continues following God until the nation is about to cross through the waters of the Jordan and begin their new adventure, realizing God’s destiny for themselves, because he is the faithful servant of God even when he knows there will be no reward.

Wow, a faithful servant never stops, a faithful servant never backs down, a faithful servant says: “Yes, Lord, Yes”:

    I’ll say yes, Lord, yes
To your will and to your way
    I’ll say yes, Lord, yes
I will trust you and obey
When your Spirit speaks to me
With my whole heart I’ll agree
And my answer will be yes, Lord, yes

Lord, I give you all the glory
    For all You’ve given me
You have filled my life until I overflow
    I’m yours to use
    In an anyway You choose
You are Lord of all, so how can I say no?

  2. 29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

God is so just that He made sure to appoint representatives of the Estate. They obey God’s word of how to divide the inheritance of the Land. He made sure everything was done fairly.
1 Cor 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Our God is a God of order so if things are chaotic then YOU ARE NOT IN HIS WILL!!! We serve a JUST and MIGHTY GOD!!!

  3. “It’s a Wonderful Life!” Even though the Children of Israel murmured and complained while they wondered around the wilderness because of their griping… God STILL gave them an inheritance and they were still blessed and favored of God. The promises of God are a firm foundation. Thank you Lord for promises that you make and KEEP!

  4. Numbers 34

4 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Command the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter Canaan, the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance is to have these boundaries:

13 Moses commanded the Israelites: “Assign this land by lot as an inheritance

God was giving the Israelites their inheritance.
Oh the love of the Father that He gives to us . Earthly inheritances may be stolen or even given away without regard to the effect it will have on those in anticipation of being the recipient. Many a time families have lived in expectation of an inheritance to find there is none. Oh but the Heavenly Father has a gift that goes beyond any earthly measure. For the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost ! What an inheritance. No greater love garb a man that he laid down His life so that we may have such a great inheritance………
Some may question the word boundary lines in these scriptures we must realize that in Numbers it is speaking of the natural land that was allocated to each tribe. God I believe gave out and set the boundaries to remind the people He was the One giving our the inheritance they were not just going in and taking what they wanted but God was indeed the Giver Not by our works but by His sovereignty and love and our obedience to the Word shall we be given an inheritance. Thank you Jesus !

    New International Version
    Psalms 16:6
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.

  5. Thank you Jesus for today

“Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries. The southern portion of your country will extend from the wilderness of Zin, along the edge of Edom. The southern boundary will begin on the east at the Dead Sea. It will then run south past Scorpion Pass in the direction of Zin. Its southernmost point will be Kadesh-barnea, from which it will go to Hazar-addar, and on to Azmon.
    Numbers 34:2‭-‬4 NLT

  6. God always crosses all the t’s and dots all the i’s. He always takes care of us so well. Happy Birthday Jesus!

  7. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:
3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:

James chapter one tells us that every good and perfect gift, from the father above in whom there is no variableness neither shadow of turning. Every gift that we have, and every blessing that we can count is from the Almighty. He is carefully orchestrated what each person is leading in their life so it’s going to be provided for them. And this time of year it is easy to oversee the most important things and to look at what we don’t have rather than focusing on what God has blessed us with. With a little shift nevermind we can easily become filled with gratefulness with what the Lord has provided us

  8. Numbers 34:29 These are they whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

1-15 fixes the boundaries of the Promise Land.

It was a Wonderful Life then and it’s a Wonderful Life now !!!!

  9. iLove Jesus
3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:

4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:

God Himself is the One who drew out the borders of Israel. In today’s society, we have the United Nations and world government attempting to cut up the land of Israel and redefine God’s borders. If anyone is confused about the God given borders of Israel, they oughta read God’s blueprints and see the Palestinians do not have any inheritance in the land of Israel.

  10. When looking at the description of the borders for the promise land, there are many things to take into consideration? How many people verses the amount of land each tribe inherited. Also how many people of the tribes of Gad, Reuben, and part of Manasseh didn’t even cross the Jordan. From the research of the maps and every place described, God gave them quite a large inheritance for a promise. Through obedience and keeping the commandments of God, he will enlarge our territories and give us what we desire for the kingdom of God. We have to love the Lord and the kingdom with all we that we have and all that we are.

    Scriptures states in John 15:7-
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

This is where we have to be. Living Jesus with all our heart, mind, soul and everything within us. This is the only way we get the promise of eternal life and that way we can give it to others that so desperately need Jesus.

  11. 4. And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, and shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon:

Reckon they ate at On The Border?🌮

Many people see borders as only restrictions; barriers that say you can’t go here or do that, but borders are our friends. We are not the only creation that was given borders; even the planets have their set path they travel. Borders don’t just say you can only go this far, they say your enemies (and temptations, etc.) should stay that far away…if they try to come any closer, do like Pastor preached yesterday and tell them, “There’s no room in this inn!”

    Who taught the sun
    Where to stand
    In the morning?
    And who told the ocean
You can only come this far?
    And who showed the moon
    Where to hide ’til evening?
    Whose words alone can
    Catch a falling star?

    I know my redeemer lives
    I know my redeemer lives
    All of creation testify
    This life within me cries
    I know my redeemer lives

  12. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:

  13. LIVE-GIVE JESUS
    THE BOUNDARIES OF BLESSINGS

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

Greed is devastating and painful. We learn in this passage that GOD even authors THE BOUNDARIES OF BLESSINGS. I speak of greed, because when we overstep THE BOUNDARIES OF THE BLESSINGS that GOD designates and delegates to us.

Greed drives the carnal flesh to pursue and possess outside of THE BOUNDARIES OF BLESSINGS that we are given. Notice that GOD distributed the land through the man of GOD. This was a command from GOD.

We are wise to receive and accept the BLESSINGS that GOD gives to us. Continually seeking territory outside of the boundaries that GOD has ordained will be fruitless.

However we can LIVE and GIVE JESUS when we LIVE within the boundaries that GOD has ordained for us. This will prevent us from becoming slaves to a job for extra income and protect us from the perils of unprotected boundaries.

The WORD of GOD defines our designated boundaries for Living, our church defines our designated boundaries for Missions, the Holy Spirit defines our designated boundaries for the Supernatural.

Well after their murmuring and complaining God allowed them to enter into their inheritance. Yet, possession of this inheritance would come with some boundaries. These boundaries were set by God and give for the protection and provision of the people. Let us remember that promised things of God will come to us but they will come with boundaries that we are to uphold without murmuring and complaining. They are for our provision they are to set us right in the middle of what God designed for us. Let us move forward into 2020 know that What God has is ours but we must be obedient to the boundaries and the instruction.

  15. 3 Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward:
4 And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:

God puts borders and standards in our life for a reason. Some may complain and not understand but there will always be a reason, a rhythm, and a meaning as to why he has put certain borders in our lives. Trust in him and follow those borders and standards.

In this passage, it states that He told Moses to tell the children of Israel the borders and standards. God has chosen someone to give us those borders, standards, and guidelines. Take heed and listen to his voice.

  16. Numbers 34:2, 3, 6, 7, & 10 (NLT)
    2) Give these instructions to the Israelites: When ye come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries.
    3) The southern portion of your country …
    6) Your western boundary …
    7) Your northern boundary …
    10) The eastern boundary …

    “These will be the boundaries”
There are reasons why boundaries are set in place. They are for our protection.

  17. God has a plan, a specific detailed plan. All we have to do is follow. Every “I” will be dotted and s edu “t” will be crossed. No need to put our own spin in it, Just follow the plan.

  18. 34:17 these are the names of the men which shall divide the land u to you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.
    ———
Everything is done acordó g to the God’s plan. AlwAys!!!
    Like it should be.
Even these men, God has a reason for everything, and every single name called here was chosen acordó g to Gods judgment.

  19. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

What we receive from the Lord as our inheritance is enough. We cannot look with the carnal eye and judge what we have been given, we must see through his eyes, spiritual eyes, and know it is enough. We live a wonderful life because of his blessings and favor. Greed crowds out the simple pleasures God’s many blessing.

  20. 17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

These are the names…. He called them by name when he divided the promise land, divided the blessings. He called them by name and chose them to rule over there promised land. With it being the holiday season i could only think of the usual way gifts a distributed around the christmas tree. Everyone that is gathered around is called one by one to receive their gift.

  21. 7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:

8 From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:

9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.

10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:

Borders? I have crossed the border hundreds of ties between 10years old and about 18 Hundred times. And in the last 25 years, I had crossed it twice. It’s hard to Explain. Either they keep you in or they keep you out or you go Back-and-forth. But they’re there for a reason.

  22. God spoke to Moses: “Command the People of Israel. Tell them, When you enter Canaan, these are the borders of the land you are getting as an inheritance:

3-5 “Your southern border will take in some of the Wilderness of Zin where it touches Edom. It starts in the east at the Dead Sea, curves south of Scorpion Pass and on to Zin, continues south of Kadesh Barnea, then to Hazar Addar and on to Azmon, where it takes a turn to the northwest to the Brook of Egypt and on to the Mediterranean Sea.

This chapter Jesus spoke to Moses. Moses must’ve been very powerful and Christ for God to special thoughts him. We all want to be like Moses to be strong in Christ. We have to follow God‘s word and his directions very precisely. After that we have to win all of our friends and family over, to get them closer to God. GO WIN THEM OVER POFW!😁😁😁

  23. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

Ready to receive their promises, God is giving final instructions by detailing the borders of their promises. Borders aren’t always meant to restrain, but can be for protection. Even after receiving blessings, we still must be faithful and remain under the boundaries of our covering. Receiving blessings doesn’t give us any right to step out on what we know is good and right.

  24. Through all this the Lord still speaks to Moses 💛

[2] Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

[5] And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.

    Numbers 34:16 KJV
[16] And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

  25. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

    Revelations 20:15
And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

May i be found to have an inheritance in the promise land. Many will be shocked when that day comes. Especially those that believe in the “once saved always saved” doctrine.

A great lament will rise and the fields will be divided the wheat from the shaft. In this life is where we have the opportunity to have our life’s set to qualify for the inheritance. You only get one chance, seek God while He may be found!

  26. 2“Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries.

Anything we receive, consider it a special blessing. Whom you received it from, took the time and effort to give you a blessing, and say Thank You!

  27. Numbers34 : 1-2 [Amp] And the Lord said to Moses
[2] Command the Israelites, When you come into the land of Canaan ( which is the land that shall be yours for an inheritance, the land of Canaan according to its boundaries.
John 13: 2-3 [Amp] In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places ( homes) , If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going to always to prepare a place for you.
[3] And when [ if] I go and make ready a,place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also. And [ to the place] where I am going, you know the way. I am the Truth and Life. It’s a Wonderful Life!

  28. In the days of Moses the Lord was very specific where the Israelites should stay. This is still the promised land today. Special boundaries were put in place in the land of Canaan. They had to live where God told them to live. They didn’t choose their own land, God gave them their inheritance.

  29. They are talking adout the promise of the land and it was given to the people. God even had the people planned out that would split the land.

  30. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

God described the borders of the promised land to moses and the children of Israel. God was leaving the land to the children of Israel as an inheritance.

  31. 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
Jesus had appointed several leaders that would divide the land for the children of Isreal. I believe when Jesus made his choice he makes sure that these leaders he picks its somebody he can trust and somebody that follows his plan without questioning him. Jesus set my heart on your word and your plan. Amen!

  32. Dividing the promised land

This let me see into the vision that Pastor has for Fort Worth. Dividing the city into north south east and west with a central hub in the middle of down town. If you took just the ministry class we have right now we could do it. Split it up just like he envisioned and conquer our city.

  33. 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
The land given to the children of Israel have borders that were set by the Lord. His commands are given in detail from here to there and to whom it pertain. The borders set in our lives are for our protection and for our own good. Let us be obedient to His commands, so we too can obtain our eternal inheritance. Let us stay vigilant!

  34. ““Give these instructions to the Israelites: When you come into the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your special possession, these will be the boundaries.”(Numbers‬ ‭34:2 NLT)

Thank you Jesus for this wonderful word tonight that is like living water inside our souls that brings life to our lives and honor to your name and the glory.

  35. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.

Our God has always had a plan for us, an inheritance and HE has appointed leaders to help us get there, but we won’t get there by following our own ways, we must trust those GOD has put to lead us to our grand inheritance. Thank you JESUS for our leaders!!

  36. “And the LORD said to Moses, “Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun are the men designated to divide the grants of land among the people. Enlist one leader from each tribe to help them with the task.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭34:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Lord has given Moses specific instructions of how to succeed. Gave him the task, tools and plan needed to accomplish and succeed.

“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  37. 12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

Stay within the borders. Anything and everything that is contained within the border is for you. Borders are not to punish and or restrain but rather to give you liberties and protection. As long as you stay with in, you know you are in your place and protected.

  38. It’s great to know what you are in charge of. God spells out exactly what the people are supposed to be in charge of. Each one had a specific section that they were to be in charge of. It was delegation of the promise land.

  39. 1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)
Even though they had murmur, God was giving them, what He had promised to them. This was their inheritance. God is always faithful to His promise’s.

  40. 2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

The Lord has always provided for his people. Even when we think he is not listening to your prayers, he is. Our God is a very just God and forgiving. He will continue to supply the need of his people. Don’t get discouraged when your prayers are not answered right away. God hears you and will respond accordingly.

  41. Then Moses told the Israelites, “This territory is the homeland you are to divide among yourselves by sacred lot. The Lord has commanded that the land be divided among the nine and a half remaining tribes.
    Numbers 34:13 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/num.34.13.NLT

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
    Psalms 73:26 KJV

You, God , are my portion! You provide all that I need!!!

  42. “These are the men the Lord has appointed to divide the grants of land in Canaan among the Israelites.””
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭34:29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are all chosen and appointed for a purpose for the Kingdom!

  43. “Then the boundary will go down along the Jordan and end at the Dead Sea. “ ‘This will be your land, with its boundaries on every side.’ ””
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭34:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Boundaries, it’s a love/hate relationships but without them we wouldn’t know what was expected of us or what is off limits.
He’s we may roll our eyes at boundaries displayed for us but it definitely no fine to quit your work in Christ.

  44. “If the victim’s relatives think it was murder, they might try to take revenge. Anyone accused of murder can run to one of these Safe Towns for protection and not be killed before a trial is held.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭35:12‬ ‭CEV‬‬

The cities of refuge were so important to those being accused of murder because it gave them a chance to at least have a case put together before they could be accused of such actions.

When did the church stop being a city of refuge? How many times have we allowed people to walk through the doors of any church without presuming who they were, why they were there, or what they have done before hearing them out or proving their innocence. Let’s stop labeling people as they walk through our doors and welcome them with friendship and compassion. Let them have a chance to prove their innocence before spiritually being put to death based on our presumptions.
