Deuteronomy 4

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lordmy God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

12 And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

14 And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it.

15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the Lord spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,

18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

20 But the Lord hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.

21 Furthermore the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:

22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land.

23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lordyour God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee.

24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

25 When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the Lord thy God, to provoke him to anger:

26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

27 And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you.

28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;

31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him.

36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

37 And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;

38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.

41 Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

42 That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live:

43 Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites.

44 And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:

45 These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt.

46 On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:

47 And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising;

48 From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,

49 And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah.

  1. 1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

    2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

    In today’s world so many people try to fit the word of god into their lives and try to force his hand whenever they should be try to shape their lives around god’s word, we should always want to live according to the word and his will because it is through him that we are led. We must put him first and his kingdom because in the end it’s for his glory not ours.

  2. OBEY GOD’S COMMANDS. Don’t add or subtract what he wants you to do , just obey all his commands in the way he tells you to obey.

    DON’T HAVE IDOLS.
    God is a jealous God and no other gods should be worshipped.

    THERE’S ONLY ONE GOD HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST.

    There’s only one God his name is JESUS
    There’s no God before him neither will there be a god after him . He regins forever

  3. 5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lordmy God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

    I think we began our mistakes as a nation the day we took God out of school. I remember as a child beginning everyday reciting Psalm 23, followed by a prayer, and finishing with the pledge to the US flag. That was a public school, that no longer exists! We took God out and let everything else in, police, guns, drugs, pregnancy, abortion, birth control, etc. It is time we reclaim our country in Jesus Name!!! Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

  4. Verses 5-6 MSG “Pay attention: I’m teaching you the rules and regulations that God commanded me, so that you may live by them in the land you are entering to take up ownership. Keep them. Practice them. You’ll become wise and understanding. When people hear and see what’s going on, they’ll say, “What a great nation! So wise, so understanding! We’ve never seen anything like it.” We must pay attention, continue to live by these rules/regulations, continue to keep them and practice them. We are about to go into 2020, as we LIVE – GIVE – JESUS; but, we must heed the Word as verse 9 reminds us “Just make sure you stay alert. Keep close watch over yourselves. Don’t forget anything of what you’ve seen. Don’t let your heart wander off. Stay vigilant as long as you live. Teach what you’ve seen and heard to your children and grandchildren.” Do not be easily distracted or lured toward evil; but, stay close to your promise and what you are committed to.

    John 10:40 KJV
    [40] And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

    • When you fear of the Lord will bring peace.
      Proverbs 14:14 KJV
      [14] The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

      Deuteronomy 4:5 KJV
      [5] Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

      Proverbs 14:16,26-27 KJV
      [16] A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

      26] In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

      27] The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

      [33] Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

  6. 5Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. 6Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. 7For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? 8And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
    9Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

    For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them. This is the million dollar question in the day and hour we are living in. I find that this great nation of ours were founded on the principles of the word of God. But in this current day many have turned away from God and distant themselves from the house of God. I find that many in our fellowship have even gone away from the truth.

    Timothy states that in the last days will come perilous times and men will be lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God. I find that is ringing true at every turn and the signs are appearing every where. I pray that our nation can turn from its wicked ways and seek the face of God to let him hear from heaven and he will begin to heal our nation. I pray that in this end time, we can have such a great outpouring of God’s spirit that we seen the greatest revival that the church has ever seen. I know that God can allow the church to be at a position where he is closer than ever before.

    We have to not only prepare our spirits but we have to prepare our hearts and minds to focus on what God is wanting to do in this end time harvest.
    We have to live Jesus to be prepared to give Jesus in every opportunity.

  7. 29. But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

    God is always only a prayer away, waiting for us to call on Him; but He wants all of us, not a partial, half-hearted, part-time effort.

  8. Living by instruction from God is the best life, after all living the best life, living the blessed life is what I strive for.

  9. 35“He showed you these things so you would know that the LORD is God and there is no other.

    We all have received blessings, seen miracles but yet lose faith in God. How can one lose faith after seeing great things. One has to endure the trials of life. Keep the faith and God will answer your prayers.

  10. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    FIRST THE KINGDOM

    29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
    30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
    31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

    We will find what we seek with all of our heart. Some people choose to seek answers from their past. Some choose to seek answers about their future. But wise are the people that seek The Lord JESUS with all.

    We can do nothing with or about the past when we find it, we can do nothing with or about the future if we could know it. We have today, right NOW to seek the LORD.

    HE alone can cover the sins of our past and through HIS Word HE alone can order the steps of our future.

    When we SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM then we step into Kingdom Promise of HIS provision.

    Seek and Find with Whole Hearted seeking. Prayer and the WORD of GOD.

  11. Numbers 4:

    Deuteronomy 4 The Message (MSG)

    4 1-2 Now listen, Israel, listen carefully to the rules and regulations that I am teaching you to follow so that you may live and enter and take possession of the land that God, the God-of-Your-Fathers, is giving to you. Don’t add a word to what I command you, and don’t remove a word from it. Keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you.

    -6 Pay attention: I’m teaching you the rules and regulations that God commanded me, so that you may live by them in the land you are entering to take up ownership. Keep them. Practice them. You’ll become wise and understanding. When people hear and see what’s going on, they’ll say, “What a great nation! So wise, so understanding! We’ve never seen anything like it.”

    7-8 Yes. What other great nation has gods that are intimate with them the way God, our God, is with us, always ready to listen to us? And what other great nation has rules and regulations as good and fair as this Revelation that I’m setting before you today?

    9 Just make sure you stay alert. Keep close watch over yourselves. Don’t forget anything of what you’ve seen. Don’t let your heart wander off. Stay vigilant as long as you live. Teach what you’ve seen and heard to your children and grandchildren.

    The stories of what God has done in our lives are a testimony. Not many want to hear them anymore. We must hold dearly to what we have seen done by God . We must pass the commandments of God down front generations to generations. My heart becomes troubled as I see parents and grandparents turning from the truth conforming to the world . God has commanded us to teach share . Someone said I was crazy and eccentric about working for God . I looked up the word eccentric it means deviating from the normal. At first I took it as an insult but the more I thought about I was ok . If I have to be kooky about something out of the ordinary then let it be about God’s kingdom and work. God’s commandment in this of scripture teach your children teach your grandchildren. I may not leave millions to a cat as the definition of eccentric was a kooky aunt leaving an inheritance to a cat but if I can I want to leave a memory of God’s love commandments promises I want them to know what I’ve seen God do .

    Psalms 78:5-6
    He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children,

    so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.

  12. iLove Jesus
    Whoa…as I started reading this my eyeballs just bout nearly popped out of my head! Think about it…Moses had needed Aaron all this time to talk for him. He had told God that he was “slow of speech” and God told him he could use Aaron as a mouth piece. Now Aaron is gone, Moses must be talking to the people himself. I guess I just never realized this until just right now. Just thought that was interesting.

  13. Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

    2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

    3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

    6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

    7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

    8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

  14. 8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
    9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

    It’s almost human nature to forget whenever you become comfortable. It doesn’t take much effort to become settled where you’re at and it’s almost just as easy to become arrogant and confident and your comfort rather than what delivered you in the first place. We must be vigilant and purposely driven that we never forget where we came from and where God is taking us. Becoming too comfortable can be dangerous and it can set us up for failure. The Bible tells us that haughtie attitude goes before a fall, and that a humble man that God will lift up. In fact we see that principle happening over and over. no matter how blessed we are and how safe we become we must always rely on the one who gives out the blessings and create the safety. We must continue to trust God and lean on him, always asking for direction lest we fall.

  15. 4:39 there fore know and understand today,and take it to your heart,that the Lord is God in the heavens, above and on the earth below,there is no other .
    ——
    Understand today! ….
    Understand it!
    He is God, he has a plan, and He wants to use us to bring it to pass. For His glory.
    He is God, he can do anything .
    Let us be a willing vessel and see His wonderful works
    In these days.
    Hallelujah 🙏🙏🙏🙏
    Blessed be the name of the Lord, I Jesus name, amen.

  16. 1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

    The promise of what is to come if we follow His commandments – we will possess the land that He has promised. It’s great having a goal – a vision that we can see or know what the end result will be, however it is conditional. Too many people today take the conditions out of living for the Lord. They believe His grace covers everything they do, therefore they don’t have to live a certain way. However, everywhere in his word we see conditions…if my people will, then I will, if you then I will.

    It’s not a free ride to heaven, it’s conditional upon us living for and loving God with all that is with in. The next verse says take nothing away or add nothing to my word. Too many today are taking out the parts they don’t want to be obedient too, but leaving the end results. I’m afraid many are going to be surprised on judgement day.

  17. Deut 4 :39 [Amp] Know, recognize, and understand therefore this day and turn your [ mind and] heart to it that the Lord is God in the heavens above and upon the earth beneath; there is no other.
    Sometimes God is not as close as you want him to be. But God is nearer than we think. God has taught me to hear his through Displine and His correction. Through his knowledge of him. I want be more like everyday because I love him.

  18. “Now search all of history, from the time God created people on the earth until now, and search from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything as great as this ever been seen or heard before? Has any nation ever heard the voice of God speaking from fire—as you did—and survived? Has any other god dared to take a nation for himself out of another nation by means of trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts? Yet that is what the Lord your God did for you in Egypt, right before your eyes.
    Deuteronomy 4:32‭-‬34 NLT

    There’s no God like our God. Creator and King, He rules everything. There’s no God like our God!

    There is no force in this world that can bring about everything that God has done for me. Only Jehovah my God can do that! I’m so grateful for You, my King!!!

  19. 4 But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

    5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lordmy God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

    6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

    8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

    9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

    10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

  20. Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add add unto the word which I commanded you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

    Proverbs 30:6 And thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

    Revelation 22:18,19 For I testify unto every man that hearerh the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    Keep Gods commandments and live.

  21. 35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him.
    His name is JESUS!

  22. Deuteronomy 4
    the final words of Moses to the nation of Israel before they enter the Promised Land. In Moses’ final “sermon” to Israel, he brings up many stories from the wilderness wanderings in order to instruct this new generation of Israelites before they enter the land of Canaan. The previous generation of Israelites failed to put their faith in the Lord though they saw great signs of his power and faithfulness. Now Moses speaks to a new generation of Israelites who spent their childhood in the wilderness. Moses’ goal is to cause them to learn from their fathers’ mistakes so they will have success in the land the Lord will soon give them. In our text today, Moses emphasizes the importance of the law of the Lord that had already been poorly kept by this new generation.

  23. 33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?

    34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

    Hasn’t God himself proven to you that he is God? Hasn’t he proven to you that he cares and loves you by his works that you have seen and taken part of?

    Whenever we need to we can look back at where god has brought us from and all the mighty things he has done for us and remind ourselves of his greatness. God has never failed me, even though I have failed he has always been right. Lord help us to always remember how gracious you have been to us.

  24. Deuteronomy 4:3-4 (NLT)
    3) Your eyes have seen what the LORD did at Baal-peor; for all thee men who followed (and participated in the worship of) Baal of Peor, the LORD your God destroyed them from among you,
    4) But you who held tightly to the LORD your God are alive today, every one of you.

    No matter what others may be doing around us, we must “HOLD TIGHTLY To The LORD.” For when we do, we shall LIVE!

  25. Moses talked to the Israelites that were to go to the promised land. He reminded them of what their father’s had done. To not obey God they couldn’t go to the promised land. We must obey God to go to our promised land, HEAVEN.

  26. 29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

    Seeking God is very important in our walk with God. Seek Him in the good times when it’s so easy to see Him working. Yet it is equally important that we seek him in the bad times when it’s harder to see Him. When we can’t see Him He is working and we still have to seek Him and He will reveal Himself to us.

  27. Deuteronomy 4 Beware of idolatry

    39 Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord himself is God in heaven above on the earth beneath; there is no other. Have a good night and God bless you Good Scripture.

  28. 29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
    30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
    31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

    Obedience is the key to posses the promised land. Let us be obedient and enter the land rather than viewing it from the mountains top. We must remember where God has taken us out from, His mercy is new everyday. Let us be obedient and seek Him. Remember The Lord our God is fire consuming!

  29. 1And now, Israel, listen carefully to these decrees and regulations that I am about to teach you. Obey them so that you may live, so you may enter and occupy the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

    2Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.

    3“You saw for yourself what the Lord did to you at Baal-peor. There the Lord your God destroyed everyone who had worshiped Baal, the god of Peor.

    4 But all of you who were faithful to the Lord your God are still alive today—every one of you.

    5“Look, I now teach you these decrees and regulations just as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

    6Obey them completely, and you will display your wisdom and intelligence among the surrounding nations. When they hear all these decrees, they will exclaim, ‘How wise and prudent are the people of this great nation!

    ‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:1-6‬ ‭NLT

  30. 23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lordyour God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee.

    Y’all I think we forgot…. We were scattered among the corrupted, divided amongst ourselves even. Sound a bit like Christians today….

    Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
    Luke 13:23‭-‬27 KJV

    Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
    Revelation 3:2‭-‬5 KJV

  31. 29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
    30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
    31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
    Our God is rich in mercy and love, if we truly seek HIM we will find HIM. If we turn to HIM we are being obedient to HIS call over our lives.

  32. 7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

    9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy son’s sons;

    10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

    Hallelujah!!

    Praise God!

  33. 12 And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

    No image…just the Word.
    People’s innate reaction is to familiarize and associate to something tangible. Much more in the case of a diety. It is our flesh to try to see and understand. Yet the only thing that God gave was his Words. You want to feel connected to your God, get in the Word. Open the book and hear what he has to say. In the beginning was the Word and in the end His Words will remain forever.

  34. “Indeed, ask now about the days that are past, [those days] which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything been done like this great thing, or has anything been heard like it? Did [any] people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you heard, and [still] live? Or has any [man-made] god ever tried to go and take for himself a nation from within another nation by trials, by signs and wonders and by war and by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm and by great terrors, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your [very] eyes?
    Deuteronomy 4:32‭-‬34 AMP

    The proof is truly in the pudding! His marevlous works, signs, and wonders speak towards Him being the ONE TRUE living God. Tdd he Lord he is God!! I thank God for showing His Glory to us and pray we continue to allow God to have His way in our lives. No limits!!!

  35. You can’t add to or take away what God has told you to do. This is a hard concept, but it is true. We find in the New Testament that there was a counsel where they allowed the gentiles to follow fewer rules as the Jews themselves couldn’t keep the law.

    “As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭21:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Even in these things they were still following the law.

  36.  And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

    5 So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.
    It means to me that the lord thinks we should never go over what we would already believe in God.
