Deuteronomy 5

And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

(I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,

I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

11 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.

13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:

14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

17 Thou shalt not kill.

18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.

19 Neither shalt thou steal.

20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.

21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

22 These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;

24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.

26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

27 Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.

28 And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.

29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

30 Go say to them, Get you into your tents again.

31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

  1. And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

See even here they spoke of God being wrapped in flesh and walking among men. When we obey the word of God; things begin to shift. I for one am glad that Jesus did walk among us: He taught us how to live and that there is an eternal path for our lives. I don’t have to die in sin. I can live eternally through following God and staying the course through His word. Thank you Jesus for opening my eyes and my heart last night.

  2. Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
    Deuteronomy 5:33 KJV

God wants obedience, because he wants us to be sinless before him. He said to keep my commandments so it will be well with you and your days will be long, sin has a way of making us go through stuff that we wouldnt if our lives were inline with the word, if we weren’t consumed with our own desires! When we are sinning, we are wreaking havoc in our life and allowing things to make us sick and in pain, so how can we live a long life if we are doing things that can cut our lives short! God is Great, he wants our lives to be free and not consumed with cares that dont concern us.

  3. Deut. 6:29 [Amp] Oh, that they had such a mind and] heart in them always [ reverently] to fear Me and keep all My commandments, That it might go well with them and with their children forever! I pray that My family and my children’s and my grand children’s come to you and walk you and reverently fear the you . For my God is a very jealous God ! For there is no other God. And live by your commandments forever. Worship the King of Kings forever. Fall in love with Jesus. For he is so good to Us.

  4. 1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

Moses began to speak to the children and re-emphasizes the fact that God spoke directly to them and not to their fathers or the generations before. They had heard the voice of God directly. This was a great opportunity to remind them of the commandments that was given in the stone tablets and that they needed to follow them with no swaying. They had heard the voice of God.

Many people today hear the voice of God but they will try their best to discount what they heard. They will also try to justify their actions to go against what they know is true and in alignment with the word. We have to obey the voice if we are to be his children. We have to not anger God in disobedience. We have to make sure that we know the voice of God so that when we hear the voice of the enemy we do not mistake it for the voice of God. We have to seek his face and follow him to an eternal reward to be with him in glory. For scripture states he is a jealous God. We are his and he is ours. Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul.

  5. 15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

I know that this verse is about keeping the Sabbath Holy but I also believe that God does not wants us to forget where He took us out of. The memory of our Egypt will keep us from going back to that slavery; but at the same time it should help us relate to those still living in Egypt!!! Keep it real people! You can’t reach the lost with the Holier than thou attitude!!! We are not better than anyone else! We still fall, we still sin, the only difference is THAT WE ARE SAVED BY HIS GRACE ALONE!!! HIS BLOOD THAT COVER US DAILY!!! GIVE JESUS!!!

  6. 33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

It’s that simple. For some reason people make it so complex living for God because they see other options. If you make a commitment to just follow what the Lord puts on your heart to do and put aside all other avenues then the Lord will continue to be with you and direct you everywhere you go. That doesn’t make it easy but it does remove any other options that may be out there. It’s simple follow the spirit and God will be with you.

  7. Deuteronomy 5
32-33 So be very careful to act exactly as God commands you. Don’t veer off to the right or the left. Walk straight down the road God commands so that you’ll have a good life and live a long time in the land that you’re about to possess.

Some proclaim the Ten Commandments are not for today. Yet if we take a look at each one how truly they are so important to live by. Instead of a set of rules or as some feel law why not with a heart of love , respect and submission. Each commandment actually is filled with wisdom and in my thoughts pure common sense . If we truly have the love of God how easy to keep His commandments. The reason we ever to the left of eight is the flesh likes to be appealed
My.dad was a fine example of keeping on the commands of the Lord . I think of how he lived and the example set before is. He teach us just by his lifestyle and his true love for God. It’s time to set our affections on things above keep the commandments not doing it our way but God’s. We cannot grow weary . Guard your heart and thoughts . Cover your mind with His word . Don’t give in due to the pressure of life. In Jesus name. If you find yourself going away from the path set before you ask for help so that you may regain your footing not to slip . Too many times we need just a helping hand to get our footing right back where it belongs. This is what the family of God is about strengthening and encouraging one another.
We must keep our eyes upon Jesus.

    Proverbs 4:26-27
Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.

  8. iLove Jesus
3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

Every single covenant that God makes with his people he is sure to explain it to them so they can understand. There is no mistaking the fact in which Moses explains certain promises are for the children of Israel and not for their fathers. Entering into the promised land is one of those conditional promises. The New Testament is no different. Acts chapter 15 lays out the New Covenant for the Gentiles. This is why we are allowed to eat pork and are not required to be circumcised. God always makes sure we understand the covenant. It is up to us whether we receive what is promised to us or if we miss out.

  9. 32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Its only as hard as WE make it to be!!! But we CAN do it in JESUS NAME!!!

  10. Deuteronomy 5:6-7 & 29
    6) I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
    7) Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

    29) O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Why would we want any other god in our life besides JESUS? JESUS Is God! JESUS Is The ONE TRUE LIVING GOD!! JESUS is the one who died on a cross and shed HIS blood for us. JESUS is the one who brought us out (DELIVERED US) from this world of sin and from the house of bondage (And deliver them who through the fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage – Heb. 2:15).

After all HE has done for us, O that we would have an heart for HIM! That we would fear (reverence, respect, be in awe of) HIM. That we would keep all HIS commandments and obey and live by them. That it might be will with us, and with our children for ever!

  11. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    OBEDIENT WALKING

31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Promise and Blessing are connected to OBEDIENCE in The Kingdom of GOD. In fact this is a principal that I can recall for most of my life. When I live right and do the right thing, good things in life seem to follow.

However GOD is speaking here more than a simple life principal. GOD is speaking a COMMANDMENT with Promise. Most people want what GOD has to offer, but do not want to OBEY HIS COMMANDS.

I pray as we consecrate our lives to JESUS in preparation for Communion on Tuesday Night that we will examine our lives and faith to see if we are in fact walking in ALL the ways GOD has Commanded us. That we may LIVE JESUS that it may be well with us and that we may possess our land and promises.

Not only that we may possess the promises and blessings of GOD. But also that we may GIVE JESUS to others along the way.

  12. 32So Moses told the people, “You must be careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God, following his instructions in every detail.

33Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

‭‭we must obey the commandments that the Lord has given onto us and carefully obey each and every one of the commandments so that we may be able to live with our Lord in his kingdom
    Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:32-33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  13. They said, ‘Look, the Lord our God has shown us his glory and greatness, and we have heard his voice from the heart of the fire. Today we have seen that God can speak to us humans, and yet we live!
    Deuteronomy 5:24 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/deu.5.24.NLT

Oh how glorious it is to be able to approach the throne of God everyday!!! You, Lord, have made a way where we can come to Your table and to Your mercy seat!! I adore You!! I glorify You!! You are holy and excellent!!!

  14. 9-10 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

Sometimes people will say that the Bible declares God as “visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children,” while later parts of the Bible reject this and teach that “sons [shall not] be put to death for their fathers. Later in this book it is written, “Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin.” So, which is it?

The punishment of the fathers’ sins on the children is not a simple punishment of innocent children for what the fathers did. Our children mimic and follow in the footsteps of the teachers; fathers, mothers and caregivers of all kinds. If the father’s sins have infected the children, they will be punished accordingly- at the father’s fault.

None of this should make anyone feel trapped and without hope because of our parents’ sins. And no one who has a child who goes bad and forsakes the way of righteousness, should feel that it is all their fault. All this should make us intensely committed to educate and lead our families in a holy and righteous manner.

  15. 32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

God is so good and His love so pure, that when he gives us a commandment to follow, we really should just obey and end of story not expecting anything in return, BUT God follows it with a BLESSING. We get rewarded for our obedience.
No doubt His Love for us is like no other.

  16. 1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
we were taught these statutes since we were children and we learned them and kept them so we could look on them so we can follow these statutes forever.

  17. ‘Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.’
    Deuteronomy 5:33

Why would we not obey the Creator of it all? It’s like we have access to the Answer Key during the biggest test of our lives, and we begin to think we know better?

We are blessed to have the opportunity to serve the King of kings, the Creator of it all, who wants to share the Way, Truth and Light with us! So that we may be able to live a long and prosperous life!

  18. “Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out with his strong hand and powerful arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to rest on the Sabbath day.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/deu.5.15.nlt

Like the man of God said last night, “you might not remember the message but you will always remember the miracle”. When you got the Holy Ghost that was a miracle itself it was an instant life changing moment for you and you will never forget it. That was also the day you were brought out of Egypt. The place of sin where you were bound by sin and chained to death with no escape but through the blood of Christ. The least you can do is make that sabbath day for him make it holy and separate from al the other days. Make that the Lords day and dedicate it to him and him only!

  19. 29 Oh that they had such a heart in them, that they would fear [and worship Me with awe-filled reverence and profound respect] and keep all My commandments always, so that it may go well with them and with their children forever!

We cannot allow apathy or laziness in our lives to take away the “Awe” of His presence. When we come together we are standing in the presence of the ALMIGHTY KING! None other desires such honor and adoration.

Yet many times we come into His presence, even in our own personal time and we have a million other things running through our thoughts that we don’t focus and give Him the time that He desires and deserves.

It’s time we treasure our JESUS time and clear our minds to reverence and respect Him in our lives.

  20. I thought Pastor picked a good one today .Jesus he watches is every day of our live. Even if we get older and he does not. Does not mean that he does not love us. So no madder what he still loves us every single day.

  21. 1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

Learn. Keep. Do. Very simple – unfortunately not everyone makes it through every step. When the Lord commands us to do something, our job is to learn it, keep it (don’t refuse it after learning about it), and then do it.

  22. If we trust in God we will be set free of the bondage that hell is keeping us in Jesus will do what he has to do to set us free then when we do get free we will praise the Lord and we will say the Lord is my Shephard, he is the everlasting father and I will praise him in all his ways . Bless y’all Happy New Year 🎉🎉

  23. “The LORD spoke with you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

What a privilege to be able to say that you have been face to face with God. My prayer is that we would be a generation seeking His face in relationship and not just His hand. We are to truly know Him.

  24. “And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s that aha moment. The time when people realize God is real and does great things. We still have those moments today. Every time someone gets the Holy Ghost or there are miracles someone has their aha moment.

  25. 5:27 You Moses go near , and listen to everything that the Lord our God has to say, then speak to us everything that the Lord our God speaks to you.and we will listen and do it.
    ——-
No more!!! We are blessed people!!! I can talk to God. Anytime on my own.
Just Him and I , just like Moses and He did it..,
Go to God first for everything , wait for his answer.
And act according to his guidance.
    God is good.

  26. Deuteronomy 5 The People Afraid Of God’s Presence

33 You shall walk in all the ways which The Lord your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right hand or too the left. Good Scripture and have a God blessed day.

  27. 29 O that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land ye shall possess.

    Hallelujah!!

    Praise God!

  28. 33 Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

If you obey laws and rules, you’ll never have to worry about getting into trouble. Laws are made not to be broken, but to have order. Follow the law, and you’ll receive blessings, have a long life and be prosperous.

  29. And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them. The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. The LORD did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive. The LORD talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire. I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the LORD; for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain. He said

  30. 24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

  31. Moses called all Israel together. He said to them,

Attention, Israel. Listen obediently to the rules and regulations I am delivering to your listening ears today. Learn them. Live them.

2-5 God, our God, made a covenant with us at Horeb. God didn’t just make this covenant with our parents; he made it also with us, with all of us who are alive right now. God spoke to you personally out of the fire on the mountain. At the time I stood between God and you, to tell you what God said. You were afraid, remember, of the fire and wouldn’t climb the mountain. He said:

6 I am God, your God,

who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of a house of slaves.

  32. 24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

And God is still speaking to His people. If we take the time to seek and listen He is talking. Many times we dont allow God to speak for lack of patience to take the time and listen or simply we need to be better at tuning in.

  33. 4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

The Lord asked for the amount of fire

  34. 1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

5 (I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,

6 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

Moses is reminding them that the covenant was made between them and God and no one else.. we are responsible for our actions.

  35. 29 Oh that they had such a heart in them, that they would fear [and worship Me with awe-filled reverence and profound respect] and keep all My commandments always, so that it may go well with them and with their children forever!

If we are honest with ourselves we have at some time or other in our walk became lack and lost that awe we once had. I will be honest I have been at that crossroads myself lately, but with God’s help and guidance I am going back on the right path. It is not a sin to fall it is a sin to stay down and not get back up.

  36. 7Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

This is important to remember. There is no other God like our God. He is the one who reigns supreme in our life. Without him, we wouldn’t be here today. Because of him, we have power to do all things.

  37. Verses 32-33 MSG “So be very careful to act exactly as God commands you. Don’t veer off to the right or the left. Walk straight down the road God commands so that you’ll have a good life and live a long time in the land that you’re about to possess.” These verses reminded me of what we spoke about yesterday in Sunday School, we talked about faith, trust and promises. We learned how there is a difference between saying something and doing something. Well with God, He keeps His promises. We can have faith in His Word, and if we say we have faith in His Word, then we need to show it by following His Word. God responds to our active faith—the faith that goes beyond our words and shows up in our actions. We must learn to speak up and step out in faith.

  38. 6 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.

Right before the commandments there is a reminder of How great God is to bring His people out of bondage. Let us understand that the commandments are a coverage God wants us to keep. As we endeavor to keep Hid commandments we are ensuring we will not go back into bondage.

He brought us out then gave us guidelines to follow that will ensure we are safe in His arms.

  39. Deuteronomio 5 : 28-33

  40. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.

3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.

Many of us today, are in covenant with Jesus, and yet, we so often miss the mark that we placed out there for us to reach, that we might hold up our end of the agreement.
Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy. I know that all too often I have to be reminded that His grace is made new ever day, and that it is more than enough, because I really fail miserably.

As we prepare to enter this new year, remember your covenant, and remember that it is with Jesus, not a man.

  41. 1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

    1. Hear the statutes and judgments
    2. Learn the statutes and judgments
    3. Keep the statutes and judgments
    4. Do them as well!!!

Work!!! Life is not all fun and games, so we should expect that life would be easier now that we have JESUS on our side? Not happening ……. anointing isn’t just handed to us….. it comes by the process of crushing…. doesn’t sound like fun and games, so why do we act like it’s nothing to be CHRIST LIKE, why do we think that looking like the world is a okayy, when we know that it isn’t…..maybe this fast will help us crucify the flesh……

  42. Our walk with God is so much more than obeying His word, it is a growing relationship with the King. He never changes, however, through our walk with Him we should adopt His ways and principles through the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding He provides. I thank God for never changing and being the same yesterday, today, and forever. I pray we all seek more of His wisdom!

    • You shall walk [that is, live each and every day] in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long in the land which you will possess.
      Deuteronomy 5:33 AMP

  43. 31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

This is our guidance and reason why we live for. His commandments are stone clear. Disobedience to His commands takes the blessing away. It makes you a viewer not a seizure of greater things. We must continue to follow His commands and teach them to our generations to come. So they too can have possession of God’s Glory.

  44. 31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.

God loved us enough to leave us specifics on how to live our lives. We can’t ignore it and try to assemble our life without following God’s perfect guidelines. This is a reminder to us of the promise we made to Him, we cannot build anything that will fully function correctly without proper instructions, Lord I thank you for reminding me of my responsibility, thank you for word, thank you for your perfect instruction over my life.

  45. “Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Sometimes life can be so good that we forget what we’ve been through or where we came from. But it’s important to renter those things because it ultimately makes us who we are and who we are becoming. Our trial and tribulations are constantly evolving us even though much time has passed. Don’t ever get too confident in who you are NOW that you forget you ACTUALLY STILL NEED God….who are we without Him? Absolutely nobody.

  46. 32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Live right, live long and prosper. Straight up, couldn’t have been any clearer in this chapter. Amen

  47. The Ten Commandments are such a simple, yet powerful set of guidelines for us. They are very straight and to the point. Explaining what top ten things to not do.

God just wants a generation, or a church, or group of people that bind together and follow all of the Ten Commandments. Yet it is frustrating that most have not encompassed these guidelines and still see the grey areas and ways to bend ten simple guidelines.
