1 Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lordhath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4 These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5 The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6 And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7 Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
8 And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
11 Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13 And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14 And every raven after his kind,
15 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16 The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17 And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18 And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19 And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
20 But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
21 Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the Lordthy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose:
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

It is stated that the nation of Israel are the children of God and they were the peculiar people of God. They were a holy people unto God also. They were above all the nations that were upon the earth. They were to adhere to the commandments of what it was to keep themselves holy unto the Lord. Just like Israel in this day, the church and the child of Hod must keep themselves clean and holy acceptable unto God. We have to make sure we are not allowing anything unclean and unrighteousness to come into our temples. We have not allow the influences of the world to cause us to not be that peculiar people, a chosen generation of called saints out of darkness into the marvelous light. We must cleanse and purge ourselves often of the influences that might cost us our heavenly reward. Above all else we must stay saved. We have to live Jesus so that we can give Jesus to this untoward generation so that we can enlarge the kingdom of God.
Verses 22-23 NLT “You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the Lord your God.” Proverbs 3:9-10 NLT “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Deut. 14 : 22 [ Amp] You shall surely title all the yield of your seed produced by your field each year. The first tenth of your paycheck belongs to God and than your offerings so that you want be cursed. Want ever you do for Lord He will bless. You will have more than enough. Worship and Give him praise and Glory. For he is a Mighty God that supplies all of our needs. Thank you Jesus.

As God’s holy, chosen, and peculiar people, we are to remain holy and separate unto Him. Sanctify us daily Lord!

We are a blessed generation. What a hope we have in knowing that we can go into the Holies of Holies and receive atonement for our sins.

How you live has a purpose.
Thinking back to leadership Saturday I’m reminded about living holy and separate from the world. When we live Holy we’re really showing respect to God. We’re showing our appreciation to him by respecting what he has called us to do and be and that’s Holy. Be ye Holy for I am Holy.
If you remember in Genesis after Adam and Eve are the fruit from the tree they then saw they were naked and reached for fig leaves to cover themselves then Lord said “who said you were naked” briefly after that he then sacrificed an animal and made them garments to cover their whole body.
We can’t be the cause of anyone’s sin.
So tighten up the loose holiness standards and loosen up the tight clothes!

I don’t understand how people still think that tithing is not biblical. It is simple for God made it simple. Psalms 24:1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
With this verse is simple to see it that God is the Landlord and we are the tenants and all He charges is 10% !!! We should be jumping for Joy after all He has done for us we should be excited to do something for Him. Thank you Jesus for ALL you do for us!

We are the Lord choose people for he has picked us to be his special treasure and this mean that we are not from this world but just passing through and we must represent the Lord our God to the world.

THE TITHE
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
TITHE means a tenth or 10% and while the LORD is revealing commands on diet, he speaks this absolute and powerful command. TITHE on ALL of the Increase. We are wise to take a look at the balance of our TITHE and the Blessings of GOD on our lives.
GOD thinks so highly of the TITHE that he mentions it with food. The WORD of GOD seems to reveal that GOD places the same valued importance on TITHE as we place of food. Lets be intentional in regard to the TITHE on all of our seed and increase

God has always had a balance for those who are not apart of the inheritance or have no way of taking care of themselves. God has instructed the men and women of God to take care of them. James 1:27 said that true religion is helping the fatherless and the widows in their affliction. It’s not enough to just go to church and receive the word we must be willing to be open vessels to help those who are in need and in pain

The following is just alittle information on tattoos. There is a movement in the Christian world to encourage folk to get scripture tattooed on themselves. The devil is a lie. Folk need to read the Word and keep their body holy.

The tattooist, shaman or the occult priest many times uses the tattoo as a point of contact, or inlets into the spiritual world. The tattoo is much more than just a body decoration. 14 1-2 You are children of God, your God, so don’t mutilate your bodies or shave your heads in funeral rites for the dead. You only are a people holy to God, your God; God chose you out of all the people on Earth as his cherished personal treasure.
Today sadly to say there has been a trend known as “Cutters”. Until you truly take a look at the reason why so many have taken on this terrible act do not judge. We hear something we see something then we want to put a label on someone. This ritual appears to have been part of a funeral ritual according to this passage of scripture. We the children of God can truly rise up and share how we have become a part of God’s family. Grieve comes in a multitude of ways and when someone is hurting or has been hurt their release sometimes involved using methods that are truly not ethical let alone Godly. It does not take away from the fact they are in need of healing and understanding that they too can be a child of God. “You are children of God .” Oh that we can share with the hurting the true meaning of being a child of God. Oh that those deeply hurting can fully become aware that they can release their pain into the hands 𝘕𝘢𝘪𝘭 scared hands that took upon Himself their pain. Cutting is a real thing o can’t go into here on paper but if you know anyone it even yourself have experienced such an act God has a balm that only He can apply to your heart of desperation. He wants to take out the darkness of no hope. He wants to heal the emotional gouges . He is ever so waiting to make us His children. How privileged to be adopted into the family of Jesus Christ . The One Who can Give I to the depth of a life and heal. There is Hope their is healing , there is a wY to be freed from the darkness of grieve . So today don’t judge share God’s love to the wounded lead them into the family of God. Just ordinary people dealing with everyday pain. We don’t even have to know why . We do not have to pry into their past. We just need to lead them into the family of God. Giving them a hope that the rituals of their old life can not longer have a hold on them and they can find a new way of life as A. Child of God. I want to live Jesus so that I can give Jesus. Just ordinary people reaching a dying world. It’s by God’s power not by ours. They are waiting will we invite them to be a part of the family to sit next to us and eat from the table ? You are the people of God . His chosen people.

Is there something special about me that led God to choose me? The short answer is, no, God did not choose us because of anything inherent in ourselves. He chose us out of His love and mercy, and for His glory. God chooses us out of love. 1 John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” Why did God choose me? Because of His great love, His lavish love.
We have all crossed God’s line and fallen short of His glory (Romans 3:23). It is clear that in spite of our best intentions and the high opinion we may hold of ourselves, God’s choosing had nothing to do with our merit.

It’s important to pay your tithes. The first 10% of all your increase belongs to God. Be obedient to God’s command, and you’ll be blessed. He will take care of you.

Peculiar has several meanings and while we aren’t supposed to try to be strange or weird, we ARE supposed to be different than others who dont live for God. We should talk different, act different – be holy in all manner of conversion. We are to be modest in our attire, not promoting the opposite sex to lust. And we are also to have the mind of Christ, caring for the things of his kingdom. I am glad he called me out of darkness and into his marvelous light and am privileged to be peculiar/ special/set aside and holy unto him!

Cada uno de estos privilegios gloriosos estaba cargado con una responsabilidad especial. Si Dios se refería a Israel como a alguien especial entre las naciones, ellos tenían que comportarse como alguien especial entre las naciones.

The Lord intended that the needs of those less fortunate, the widow, the fatherless would be taken care of. Sometimes people are in a particular situation that they have no control over. Our compassion and love should cause us to be kind, considerate and meet the needs when possible.
Many times the needs of the widow and fatherless is a commodity that all of us can give and that is time and love. There are times when it’s financial, maybe legal, but most of the time it’s just time and love. All of us should have a heart of compassion that could minister to a hurting soul and it typically doesn’t cost us a dime.
Live Jesus and Give Jesus should become our lifestyle that we are available to give of our time, talent and treasure in meeting the needs of those hurting around us so that they see Jesus in us.

People that have this idea that we should fit in with those around us: “. . . the Lordhath chosen thee to be a peculiar people. . . “ we are to be anything but normal!! “. . . above all the nations that are upon the earth.” We are set apart, we are different, we are saved and should shine our light and be a witness to all that we come in contact with. Be“. . . a peculiar people. . . “

GOD does bless those that bless the fatherless, widow and the stranger!!! It’s only as hard as we make it to be!!!

When I started tithing 10 percent and I do it regularly God has been blessing me! Some days I think how did I pay that off? Then I remember the blessings of the Lord. This is so true. I try to do more than that when I can. We must do it from the heart not just because we should do it. God is so great and I am thankful for the POFW church! What a great church to go to.
We have been chosen to be different than the world. We are a chosen generation. He chose us, out of all the people.

A friend and I were talking a little bit about tithing today over lunch. As a new babe in Christ many don’t understand how and why should I tithe. But the fact is that the LORD has a way of teaching everyone differently. But it all still comes down to being obedient to His word.
I believe in tithing and offering and more! God has never failed, and He honors His word. He will show you in many ways. Just look around and see His faithfulness ❤

We are Gods children out body is a holy temple. That we have to take care of and watch out for what’s pure and impure. We have to take care of our holy temple that we have we have to respect what God has asked us to do .

We are a holy people, we are a people God has chosen the shine, stand out, and stand apart for others to see. We are chosen to be a beacon of light to those in darkness and are called to set a standard straight to what it is to be holy.

And the Lord hath chose thee to be a peculiar people. I remember as a kid that the “peculiar” to me were those with piercings, tats all over, shaven heads, and holes on their bodies. But in reality we are the chosen “peculiar” of this world. We are special, we are holy and separated especially for Him. We are to remain that way, different from those from this world honoring Him at all times even with our bodies.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.”

This Scripture means that, we are God’s people and we may have treasures on earth, but are greatest treasure is in heaven.

We are gods people
God talked about us being his people. We should not cut ourselves or shave our heads for the dead. What I got from this was, that we are Gods people. We should honor and worship God with all we have and all the time we have.WORSHIP HIM POFW😁😁😁
What is this day God said do not eat the animals I’ll give you live that the animals that you can eat .

The Lord has chosen thee……. above all living humans in this world!!! We have been specially and distinctively chosen! What a honor and blessing to be chosen and carefully thought out by the creator of the universe our Lord Jesus. As chosen people we are required to remain holy because He is holy and we are to be imitators of Him to the world.
24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the Lord thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the Lord thy God hath blessed thee:
When our God blesses us for the tithes we give it might be to far to give back
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
So many people tithe on what they think that they can afford, or on their increase after everything else is covered. We don’t. We practice tithing on all our increase First. When we make sure Jesus gets His portion back before we touch anything else, we show our faith in him.

The idea behind holy is “separate.” The people of Israel were a people separate unto the LORD.
You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure. “You must not eat any detestable animals that are ceremonially unclean. “You may eat any animal that has completely split hooves and chews the cud,

God ordained certain foods as clean. Thanks to science we can understand why and why the Israelites we not suppose to eat unclean animals. There are medically backed reasons why certain animals are not the best for you. Pigs, shrimp and catfish are all scavengers and will eat anything they can. Therefore, we can ingest whatever pollutants they may have imbibed. The pig does not have a way to detox properly except for one function, so many of the toxins remain in the flesh.
There is a testimony of a man who was near death and he started eating according to old testament laws. He was completely healed.
God has reasons for why He ordains things.

You have been chosen by God. You are loved by God. You are His people a peculiar people. These are things we must all speak to ourselves. These are thr things That hold us together
If you are blessed make a bigger table not a taller fence
“And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.”
There is no better way to reach someone than to share life with them. The old adage that “ no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care “ is true in the Kingdom of God. You can’t just chunk the Bible at someone and expect them to be won to the Lord, you have to live life with them. We need to have the less fortunate at our tables ministering to them with love. If we get this principle in our hearts you can watch our church double quick.

God set us apart for a reason. He chose us so we need to choose him. We are to be the example of who jesus is and lead others to him.
22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
If you are tithing, it should be that there is an increase in your seed. You can expect to have more as you continue to tithe your seed is increasing.

There you have it Pastor! If you find broccoli detestable then you shouldn’t eat it! 🤷🏽♀️
But in all seriousness, we always hear “eat the word.” Don’t be al quick to “eat” the words of media, or books, or so on if it is detestable to what the word of God says. We have to be conscience of what we allow our spiritual body to consume just as we have to be conscience of what our physical body consumes.

We must live pure and holy and be separated from this world.

Looking at other translations there is a small discrepancy between your forehead and above your forehead. Some translations mean not to shave your forehead and some translations say not to shave the hair above your forehead. Either way we know that God wants us to be so set aside for him that we don’t change our outwardly appearance in grief for others.
One of the things this chapter is saying to us is that God is warning us about what we eat and to stay away from certain breeds that will not be safe for us to eat because they are unclean.
You shall eat the tithe (tenth) of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock before the Lord your God in the place where He chooses to establish His Name (Presence), so that you may learn to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect] always.

We should be accustomed to giving Jesus our best – our best praise, our best shout, our best everything. We may not always feel like it, this flesh will always get in the way but just as Bro. Godwin taught tonight, remember which church you are apart of. We are a holy ghost filled, water baptized in JESUS name, fully annointed church awaiting the bridegroom to return. That statement should be just as powerful as when we first started our walk with Christ. I thank God for this message that has rang true through the ages! I pray we continue to give our best sacrifice to the King and never forget what He did for us, where He has taken us from, and the power He freely gives toveach and everyone of us.
22 “You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.
Set aside what belongs to the Lord. After all everything He has given us is His. There is blessing in obedience so as a child of God we have to believe and trust and put out faith in action and know that no matter what the Lord will not forsake me. Know that that seed will grow and multiply maybe not financially but it shall multiply. The Lord is faithful is every way.
24“Now when the LORD your God blesses you with a good harvest, the place of worship he chooses for his name to be honored might be too far for you to bring the tithe.
You see, God will bless you, its just a matter of time. If you do your part of giving your tithes and offerings, blesses will come when you least expect them.

3 Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
This particular chapter sort of intrigues. The highlights thereof of this chapter are food/tithing. Regarding the food, it brings to remembrance how God instructed the abstinence of a certain tree in the garden. The instruction was given to Adam and Eve to abstain from the forbidden tree. I find it interesting that later on, God instructs his people to also likewise abstain from certain foods.
As was the case in the beginning I am of the persuasion that we too as the body of Christ should be watchful of what we eat pertaining to that which is unclean. It was sort of comical I once heard a preacher pray for someone that had diabetes, God healed and did the work, and the preacher then went on to say “eat what you want, or as you please”. I was sort of confused, God heals and I eat all the junk I want? No, I don’t think it works that way.
This chapter is particular in certain food elements that we are not to eat. Pork, shellfish, squid, lobster, etc. My question? Many say that this does not apply to us as a church as we are past that era, but I don’t think so. If God had a set plan to follow for his people why then are we exempt? I know perhaps not popular, but nevertheless it’s still in the book, it’s the word of God.
I must think, that God lays these restrictions as it may be a health hazard to us, also because he clearly calls them unclean. I do think that it works hand in hand, we keep our heart clean of sin and elements that are not pure and we strive to keep the inner man holy, why not our physical body that is the temple of the Holy Ghost? Is it reasonable to assume that God should heal my body if I eat that of which he clearly stated to abstain from? If it’s in the book we must follow I believe.
Tithing is stated in this chapter, the resources thereof was used to maintain the Tabernacle and the duties pertaining to it. Tithing in my opinion is done in obedience to God, also I like to view it this way what does earthly funds compare to a sacrifice paid on a cross at Calvary? It cannot compare to a crown of thorns place on his head, nail scared hands that by them he leads and guides me. Cannot compare it to the little requested of me here on earth.
What can compare unto him? Nothing, only he is worthy of all praise.

It’s a privilege and a great gift from our Father to be adopted into his family. We are a chosen people from among thousands. He has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. He calls us to be set apart a holy people for the Lord our God is holy.
