Deuteronomy 15

At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord‘s release.

Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

12 And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:

14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.

20 Thou shalt eat it before the Lord thy God year by year in the place which the Lord shall choose, thou and thy household.

21 And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the Lord thy God.

22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.

23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

  1. 15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

It’s very easy sometimes to take our salvation and redemptive power of Jesus Christ for granted in the manner that we are thankful we have been redeemed, but we don’t give others the same benefit of having their sins forgiven and washed away, as we experienced.

Many times judgement comes into play remember what they did or did not do, but God has instructed all of us to remember where He brought us from and to extend that same forgiveness to others who may have wronged us, or wronged the Lord. Their forgiveness is not up to us, it is up to God. We just must remember, if we don’t forgive those who have trespassed against us, we will not be forgiven. So let forgiveness reign in us and let’s allow God to be God.

  2. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    THE BLESSED LIFE

4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:
5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

The key words in this passage “Only if thou carefully harken”. “Only if” means that there is no other way and it will not come to pass with out this action. Meaning THE BLESSED LIFE is conditional. The absolute is not popular in the “Only Grace” society we live in.

We are wise to understand the difference between BLESSED and rich. Rich means you only have money, but BLESSED means you have access to Money, Health, Protection, Favor, Knowledge, Mercy, Peace, Abundance and Grace.

The key to THE BLESSED LIFE is to LIVE JESUS by carefully harkening to HIS Word, Voice and Man. Then we shall have resources to share and GIVE JESUS to our world.

8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

    Psalms 86:5
For You, Lord, are kind and ready to forgive,
rich in faithful love to all who call on You.

We should be quick to forgive, both rich or poor, just as God has forgiven us. He gave his life’s blood so that we could be free. When we “live Jesus” on a daily basis, “giving Jesus” goes hand-in -hand!

  4. 2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord‘s release.

9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

If you can only be that easy nowadays, Life will be more simple. Relationships with friends and family would be more better.

  5. Verses 4-6 MSG “There must be no poor people among you because God is going to bless you lavishly in this land that God, your God, is giving you as an inheritance, your very own land. But only if you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, diligently observing every commandment that I command you today. Oh yes—God, your God, will bless you just as he promised. You will lend to many nations but won’t borrow from any; you’ll rule over many nations but none will rule over you.” We are wise to heed the warnings and live obediently to the Voice of God. Many tend to say that there are to many rules and commandments; but, in reality these are the things that will keep you living right and be blessed. Living a blessed life means LIVE-GIVE JESUS.

Proverbs 9:10-11 CEV says “Respect and obey the Lord! This is the beginning of wisdom.[a] To have understanding, you must know the Holy God. I am Wisdom. If you follow me, you will live a long time.”

  6. 4. Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God GIVETH thee for an inheritance to possess it:

    1 Corinthians 2:12
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

    Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

-God has freely given Himself to us, we should freely give of Him to others…
    Live Jesus, Give Jesus

  7. Deut. 15:7 [Amp] If there is among you a poor man or women , one of your kinsman in any of the town’s of your land which the Lord your God gives you, shall not harden your [ minds and hearts or close your hands to your brother. Be guickly to forgive them, So God will forgive you. Be willing to help them when needed. Pray for them, Love them, Incourge them, Teach them God Word, And the Lord will bless you. We must give JESUS TODAY!!! Tell everyone about His goodness and riches!! Don’t forget from where Jesus pluck you out of to place you in His Promises; share Him where ever you may go so others can be saved. Follow His commandments, so you may live in His blessings and riches in Glory in Christ Jesus Amen

  9. Deuteronomy 15:11
10 Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God’s, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures.

There is no way to out give God.

    Matthew 25:40
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

God sees even when man does not.
God’s blessings are infinite. If we Live Jesus and Give Jesus; there we find some many blessings. Watch try it I promise you can never out give God.
Even if you may not have an abundance big resources give any way . Do we think not that the Father is not able to restore replenish. He owns it all . What a mighty God we serve. There is a joy in giving !

  10. There should be no poor among you, for the Lord your God will greatly bless you in the land he is giving you as a special possession. You will receive this blessing if you are careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today.
    Deuteronomy 15:4‭-‬5 NLT

If we are all carefully obeying the Lord, there should be no poor among us because our God is faithful to His promises. When God says we’ll be blessed, then we’ll be blessed, IF we are faithful in return and obey His Word.

  11. ““There should be no poor among you, for the Lord your God will greatly bless you in the land he is giving you as a special possession. You will receive this blessing if you are careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today.”

This is like the Old Testament way of saying seek ye first the Kingdom.

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

We don’t have to worry about the things of this world all your focused on is the things of the Lords. It’s a kingdom thing God just don’t let that kind of stuff happen. So I’m hear today to reassure someone that your worries should be put aside and look up not out. Gods got you!

  12. 11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

It is supposed to be this way, especially when GOD has set us free, we are supposed to want to help our brethren lighten the load or even remove it for him/ her…. it is so easy to forget where JESUS brought us out from!!!

  13. “If anyone is poor among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward them. Rather, be openhanded and freely lend them whatever they need. Be careful not to harbor this wicked thought: “The seventh year, the year for canceling debts, is near,” so that you do not show ill will toward the needy among your fellow Israelites and give them nothing. They may then appeal to the Lord against you, and you will be found guilty of sin.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:7-9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We should always be willing to give without receiving repayment from those we lend to. When we hold their loan against them we are stopping the flow of blessings that God has for us.

  14. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

He that knoweth to do good and doeth it not oh, damn it is sin. Ask God is leading us into the promised Land and with many blessings, as Goshen is being spoken and poured out, it is our responsibility to use our blessings wisely and to bless other people. God commands his people to remember when they were in bondage and didn’t need so that when they are blessed and multiples day full help and reach out to those that are in need.

  15. 1“At the end of every seventh year you must cancel the debts of everyone who owes you money.

If you loan money out to a friend or relative, and they haven’t paid you back, just cancel the debt and forgive. I was taught, if someone hasn’t paid you back, it’s not worth losing your soul over it. Consider it a blessing to that individual and move on.

  16. God is so good! Forgive others as God has forgiven us. It is God’s commandment. Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus…Trust and obey. I learned that as a small child and is the best way, obey Our God!!

  17. 2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord‘s release.

    3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release;

At times it is easy to let your flesh take over and give your flesh what it wants. And to disobey what God has asked you too do. We have to obey what God commands us to do.

  18. iLove Jesus
1 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release.

2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord‘s release.

The credit system here in America still practice this 7 year system. My credit report does not show some of the mistakes I had made when I was younger. Those negative reports just “disappeared”. This is the same way we need to treat all those who have sinned against us. We should allow the blood of Jesus to completely wash away everything that folks have done to us.

  19. Release of debts every seventh year.

At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts. And this is the form of the release: Every creditor who has lent anything to his neighbor shall release it; he shall not require it of his neighbor or his brother, because it is called the LORD’s release. Of a foreigner you may require it; but you shall give up your claim to what is owed by your brother, except when there may be no poor among you; for the LORD will greatly bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance; only if you carefully obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today. For the LORD your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.

#1- You shall grant a release of debts: In Israel, money was always loaned with the understanding that every seventh year, debts would be canceled. So there was no long-term debt in this sense – money could never be borrowed, or owed, for more than six years.

#2-It is the LORD’s release: This was an important matter to God; the release was said to be the LORD’s release. As Israel obeyed this command, there would never be a permanent under-class in Israel. Some might go through a bad period but would have the opportunity to rebuild their lives financially on a regular basis.

  20. 5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

Sometimes when God commands you to do something it is hard for your flesh to listen sometimes it tries to do the ad instead of the good. So you have to push and keep your mind on the Lord

  21. 15::9 be ware that there will not be a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, the seventh year, the year of released is at hand, and thine eye be evil against the poor brother and thou give him nought and he’ll cry unto the Lord against thee
And it’ll be sin against thee.
    ——
That simple, Be ware! Because God sees, you (me) might end up getting what you planed for your “ friend”. Coworker
    Neighbor, stranger…
Lord, give us pure hands, give us clean hearts 🙏🙏in Jesus name!!!amen.

  22. 5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

It is very easy to not hear the voice of God. But as the scripture states we carefully hearten to the voice of God, keep and observe. The commandments that he speaks to us, He will bless us. We have to eliminate all the obvious distractions in our life and prioritize our needs above our wants, then we can come to a place where everything we need is supplied by God. Always putting God first will always bring abundant blessings even when we are not in need.

This world is going to do it’s very best to confuse you and to get you turned away from the throne of God. I am so thankful that we can come boldly before the throne of God in the time of need and gain mercy. We have to do our best to be in alignment with the word of God and to lead those of our family. Living for Jesus is easy without any excuses and distractions. If you only give a little you will in turn receive a little. The scripture tells us that where much is given much is required. Live Jesus to be able to give Jesus.

  23. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

Our hearts should never grieve because we know God is on our side. God blesses us daily, extra, and overflowing. We are such a blessed people. What lever we ask for He gives it to us. He drops it right in our lap. I can honestly say that me and my house are extremely taken care of and always have been. We may not have a lot of extra put away or excess, but we are very well taken care of.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

I have always struggled with these passages. I have never been one to go out of my way to help the poor/homeless. Those that are poor, I am much more likely to help. Because I know they are trying, sometimes people just can’t get ahead. And then homeless, I am always quick to judge. It is a struggle I have to pray after. I want to judge, but in reality, I don’t know their story. I don’t know what they’ve been through. So, all I can do is follow the scripture and help them to the best of my ability. Open my hand wide to the poor and to the needy.

  24. 7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:
8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

The intention here is to never be selfish with what the Lord has blessed us with. There have been many of times when I have been blessed not only with a bonus check but I have been blessed with someone’s time and love, a phone call or a message sharing their love for me or they thought about me and prayed for me today. I believe this to be true in all aspects not just financially. God blesses us with love, life, health, family, friendships. We too should give of all the extra He gives us. We have that chance, God gives us the opportunity to give of what He has so generously blessed us with. So then we are as well to give generously and kindly to those in need, in doing so we seal the blessing that the Lord has for us.

If it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:8

  25. 5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: Deuteronomy 28:13.
The key words are to obey his commands! Then he blesses us in many ways, not just monetarily. We have access to healing, deliverance and favor- when we submit ourselves to his ways.

  26. But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.
    Deuteronomy 15:8 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.15.8.KJV

God does not bless us with something so that we can hold onto it forever. Whenever God blesses us with something he usually wants us to use it for his glory and two plus somebody else. There are so many better less fortunate than I. With what God gives me I can do what I can to bless them. That way they feel that touch from God that no matter what Avenue He may choose they will know that He will always take care of them.

  27. 7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother.

8 But thou shalt open thy hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou gives him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee,

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all thou puttest thy hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land,: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

    Hallelujah!!

    Praise God!

  28. 5 …But only if you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, diligently observing every commandment that I command you today…

We sometimes get caught up in the promises of God without realizing the prerequisites. Yes, the Bible is full of promises but most come with rules and guide lines. For example, we cannot expect a financial blessing if we are withholding our tithes. Our income is cursed. Sometimes we want to blame God for not following His word and providing the promises or blessings detailed in His Word. However, if we dig around in our own lives and in His Word, we will find the parameters to the promises of God.

  29. “but you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend to him whatever he needs.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

When we get to the point where we freely give to our brothers and sisters then we know that we are of one heart and soul. It doesn’t belong to us personally but Gods and for the use of all.

“Now the company of believers was of one heart and soul, and not one [of them] claimed that anything belonging to him was [exclusively] his own, but everything was common property and for the use of all. And with great ability and power the apostles were continuously testifying to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace [God’s remarkable lovingkindness and favor and goodwill] rested richly upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, because those who were owners of land or houses were selling them, and bringing the proceeds of the sales and placing the money down at the apostles’ feet. Then it was distributed to each as anyone had need.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:32-35‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  30. 4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

    “Only If”

Everyone wants to live a blessed life, few want to put in the work to accomplish it.

If we want God to be faithful in blessing us, we must be faithful in obeying His word!

  31. Deuteronomio 15 : 16-18
“Si él te dijere: No te dejaré; porque te ama a ti y a tu casa, y porque le va bien contigo; entonces tomarás una lesna, y horadarás su oreja contra la puerta, y será tu siervo para siempre; así también harás a tu criada. No te parezca duro cuando le enviares libre, pues por la mitad del costo de un jornalero te sirvió seis años; y Jehová tu Dios te bendecirá en todo cuanto hicieres”

    * “Si él te dijere: No te dejaré”

  32. 9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

Greed can do nasty things to people when unchecked. God says it’s wicked heart and an evil eye if we do not release the poor. If God blesses us he intends for us to bless other too. Sometimes their are going to be things we have to let go of because holding on is actually toxic. God says that he will count such behavior as sin. Nothing is as important as our relationship with God nothing personal, material or monetary. None of it can be taken with us when we die.

Seven years is the time of Jubilee and instead of begrudging the act of releasing someone, we should look at it as releasing other for we have been released. It should be a moment of joy for we have been forgiven and forgiven others. That is the blessed life and we can share it with others.

  33. It is funny how our system today refers back to the old testament. Unpaid debts owed are to be void after 7 years in today’s society. Also, Gods people today try to help those that are less fortunate. The bible has many learning tools in it for today, even thousands of years later. What God said back then definitely coincides for today’s world. This is again why we need to know Gods word.

  34. Deuteronomy 15:8 (AMP), “But you shall freely open your hand to him, and shall generously lend to him whatever he needs.”

This scripture made me think of the story of Peter, John, and the lame man in Acts 3:3-7.
    3) Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
    4) And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
    5) And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
    6) Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
    7) And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

The lame man thought he needed alms, but what he really needed was healing.
Peter and John didn’t have silver and gold to give, but because they LIVED JESUS, what they did have to GIVE was JESUS. In the Name of JESUS CHRIST, they told the lame man to rise up and walk, and they opened their hand freely and took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and he got what he needed, a Healing.

Yes, we must give of our Time, Talent, and Treasures to help others, but what they need more than anything is JESUS. We Must LIVE JESUS to GIVE JESUS.

  35. 7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:don’t be selfish with your money for there are some that have a lot less than you, don’t fall in love with money either for the love of money is the root of all evil.

  36. ““In honor of the Lord your God, celebrate the Passover each year in the early spring, in the month of Abib, for that was the month in which the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night. Your Passover sacrifice may be from either the flock or the herd, and it must be sacrificed to the Lord your God at the designated place of worship—the place he chooses for his name to be honored. Eat it with bread made without yeast. For seven days the bread you eat must be made without yeast, as when you escaped from Egypt in such a hurry. Eat this bread—the bread of suffering—so that as long as you live you will remember the day you departed from Egypt. Let no yeast be found in any house throughout your land for those seven days. And when you sacrifice the Passover lamb on the evening of the first day, do not let any of the meat remain until the next morning. “You may not sacrifice the Passover in just any of the towns that the Lord your God is giving you. You must offer it only at the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored. Sacrifice it there in the evening as the sun goes down on the anniversary of your exodus from Egypt.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭16:1-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So, God did not guarantee prosperity for any one in Israel; but He did guarantee opportunity for prosperity for an obedient Israel.

  37. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

    1 Thessalonians 5:18

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

In everything give freely and joyfully! Blessings are sure to come your way!

  38. 16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he love thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;
if we say unto it then we will not leave from him because we love him and his house because we are well with him.

  39. In this chapter God talked about the poor. He said not to be hard hearted but give them what they need. This is kinda an example for our new believers. We have to give our new believers in our church what they need. We have to be a giving and loving church.HO GIVE POFW!!!😁😁😁

  40. I learn That This guy hired a servant Then he said you will be my servant for ever Then he hired another servant.

  41. “If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth. Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee. Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto. For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:7-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God wanted Israel to be generous givers to those in need. This remained me of Galatians 6:10
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Our giving is to begin with those brothers and sisters closest to us, though it can extend outward from there.

  42. 14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

God wasn’t asking them to give something they didn’t have, or everything they had just part of what he had blessed them with, the same holds true today he is only asking us to give back part of what he has blessed us with in the first place.

  43. “For the LORD your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This Scripture means that God will bless his people by preparing a table in front of your enemies.

  44. “Only you shall not eat its blood; you are to pour it out on the ground like water.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:23‬ ‭AMP‬

When living in that time this could seem like such an unusual commandment. But as we know now that there are sicknesses that can come from eating such things.

There are times in our lives today that a command can seem so unusual, but when we look back we will see the protective hand of God. Guiding us even when we weren’t aware!

  45. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

There is something special, in the act of giving cheerfully and only God can really examine our hearts, although we sometimes show it in our actions.
If we have a giving heart, we dont even have to be wealthy. There are ao many opportunities to give.
    There is BLESSING in GIVING.
    LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS!

  46. Deuteronomy 15:10-11
Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God’s, blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures. There are always going to be poor and needy people among you. So I command you: Always be generous, open purse and hands, give to your neighbors in trouble, your poor and hurting neighbors.
Proverbs 22:9 He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor.

Thank God POFW is able to bless our Bus children in every way.

  47. Harden not you’re heart ♥️

    Deuteronomy 15:6 KJV
[6] For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

    Deuteronomy 15:7 KJV
[7] If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

    Hebrews 10:31 KJV
[31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

  48. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

So many times we miss out because of our attitude. Our attitude has to be a holy, pure attitude.

  49. 15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

    16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

It is those that are grateful that serve a lifetime and are glad. Time and time we see through the scriptures the Lord reminding his people to not forget where they came from, the land of bandage. Remember that you were a foreigner and a bodman in the land of Egypt and the Lord thy God brought thee out. What has the Lord brought you out off? Gave you a place and a job to serve Him. He is a good master, a father, a friend and gives you all that you need and then some. Remember all that he has done for you, the daily benefits and gratefully serve Him.

  50. 7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

8 But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.

9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the Lord against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

Always give gladly, willingly, joyfully, and selflessly. It doesn’t feel good receiving a blessing from someone who has a bad attitude as im sure it doesn’t feel good giving to someone with a bad attitude. Don’t ever feel that you are obligated to give, don’t ever feel like its a burden to you if you do. Jesus never scoffed at the thought of giving himself for you.

  51. 11 There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

Poor- in want, needy, chiefly poor, needy person
    subject to oppression and abuse
needing help, deliverance from trouble, especially as delivered by God
    general reference to lowest class

Poor doesn’t necessarily have to mean financially. We might not all have the money to give to the poor but we do have a voice that can give life to those that are in need, hurting, needing deliverance, peace, joy, healing, etc. We know the King of Kings and the least that we can do is give unto the poor (those that don’t have Jesus). We had the ability to share Him freely to others. Let’s give unto the poor daily and see what the Lord will do in their lives. Let’s Go and GIVE JESUS!!!

  52. Thrust an awl through my ear

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

    16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

To bd a servant in the house of God is better than a slave to this world. I have lived on both sides now and I say now thrust an awl through my ear Lord I have to stay in your house.

  53. Thrust an awl through my ear

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

    16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

Toa servant in the house of God is better than a slave to this world. I have lived on both sides now and I say now thrust an awl through my ear Lord I have to stay in your house.

  54. 10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19:17
Many times we look to the side, when we see a need among our brothers. But the Lord, wants us to give with all of our heart. We must remember that, He will always bless you with more then we can imagine. Live JESUS, Give JESUS..

  55. “Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Change your attitude and way of thinking and god will bless you!

  56. “Beware that there is no wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release (remission, pardon), is approaching,’ and your eye is hostile (unsympathetic) toward your poor brother, and you give him nothing [since he would not have to repay you]; for he may cry out to the LORD against you, and it will become a sin for you. You shall freely and generously give to him, and your heart shall not be resentful when you give to him, because for this [generous] thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:9-10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

When being a blessing to someone else, we shouldn’t have the mentality of “well, what’s in it for me”. Giving with that kind of heart may damage those receiving a blessing and cause further damage to yourself. As the scripture says, give freely and without resentment. Don’t let pride taint your blessing.

  57. 7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

The premise of this chapter in indicative of a giving heart to the poor, we should extend to the poor, not to the lazy unproductive individual who simply refuses to provide for himself and work a job. I am all for helping anyone that truly and sincerely hath necessity.

We understand that according to the written word that God will bless those that give unto the poor. When viewing these portions of scripture it essentially records that God commands for to give to the poor.

This reminds me of the Rev., David Shatwell, he referenced as to how he continually always gives something to a random person every day.
This is perfect example as to how we should live based upon this scripture.

But furthermore, not only giving monetarily, but also giving and assisting to the downhearted, those that find themselves in disparity, lonely and no hope. We have a privilege to extend ourselves to these as mandated by God to help and open our hands wide as he said.

He did make mention that he came for the brokenhearted and to set the captive free, it is worth noting that we have the mandate to assert and administer hope, faith, and mercy into those that have not. In cause of this action we give the chance to be a witness of the goodness of God in our lives and to extend a hand to the poor.

We do serve a merciful God that administrates a multitude of tinder mercies, his grace is sufficient, his power is undeniable. And the hope that he offers incomparable.

    What a great God!

  58. Forgiving debts gives a chance at renewal. It allowed people to go be themselves after needing to borrow. It’s kinda the same type of situation as the serving. So that people don’t just end up in a cycle of repaying their debt, but they are able to be free after a designated time.

  59. “Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.”(‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭15:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

When giving to the poor our father wants us to give willing from our hearts to the poor with a cheerful attitude and not have a mean spirited towards the poor
