Deuteronomy 22

Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

16 And the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.

26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.

  1. 5The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

    This scripture stands out the most this morning because we are in a time that everything that is considered wrong by the word of God is now being accepted as right and what is right now considered wrong. A man that can be identified as a women and a women now can be identified as a man. Our generation is becoming so perverted that I pray that the Lords coming will be sooner than later.

    We are having to make sure we teach our children that no matter what the world says if it contradicts the word of God then it’s not right. We have to make a stand for God in this last day. The scripture reminds us that even when the earth is past away, the word of God will remain for ever. It is forever settled under the heavens. It’s time to serve the Lord with everything within you.

  2. Verses 1-3 in the CEV are captioned “Helping Others” as it says “Moses said to Israel: If you see a cow or sheep wandering around lost, take the animal back to its owner. If the owner lives too far away, or if you don’t know who the owner is, take the animal home with you and take care of it. The owner will come looking for the animal, and then you can give it back. That’s what you should do if you find anything that belongs to someone else. Do whatever you can to help, whether you find a cow or sheep or donkey or some clothing.” We can always find ways to help others and not simply walk by, ignore the need or refuse to help. When all is said and done, it is NOT about us; but, about living and giving Jesus in all things. The NLT version says “Don’t ignore your responsibility”.

    Verse 8 NIV says “When you build a new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if someone falls from the roof.” This made me think about our homes and how we should pray hedges and hedges around it for protection.

    He sees even the smallest details, he’s guiding us through every step. Thank you Jesus, you are a mighty!

    5. A woman must not wear a man’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing. This kind of thing is an abomination to GOD, your God.

    NLT:
    5. A woman must not put on men’s clothing, and a man must not wear women’s clothing. Anyone who does this is detestable in the sight of the LORD your God.

    Voice:
    5. A woman must not wear men’s clothing, and men must not put on women’s garments. The Eternal your God is horrified when anyone does this.

    Abomination…detestable…horrified…severe words showing that even the newer translations agree that this should not be taken lightly.

    My God is so good and so simple! He explains that which needs explanations but states clearly what needs no explanation. Some would say: “but back then men wore tunics?” The men tunics were easily identified as male tunics by their girdle (a type of belt) ; now a days men are identified by their pants, women by their dress. If you’re still confused go to the bathroom signs, you will find the identification simple enough. May our Lord keep us under His blessings and Favor!!! May we learn to correct that which does not please Him in Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏻

  7. Deut. 22: 1 [ Amp] You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep being driven away or stolen, and hide yourself from [ your duty to help] them; you shall surely take back to your brother.
    [2]] And if your brother [ the owner] is not near you or if you do not know who he is, you shall bring the animal to your house and it shall be with you until your brother comes looking for it; then you shall restore it to him.
    It’s our responsibility to help when our brother or sister when they need help with what they are doing.
    [ Prov.24: 12] If you [ profess ignorance and] say, Behold , we did not not know this, Behold, We did not know this, does not He Who weighs and ponders the heart preceive and consider it? And he Who guards your life, does not know it? And shall not Be render to [ you and] every man according to his work’s .
    They always someone that need help from us, Be a helper to them. There’s no telling where God will sent us next. I want to be a server in need . It’s a Wonderful Life.

    Am I my brothers keeper? I believe we all have a need to be accountable to each other. If we will be honest and stay accountable it can keep us from falling. If however we realize our brother is struggling or fallen, I do believe it is our duty to do everything with our being to help that brother/sister find a place of safety so that restoration can transpire.

    If God would require us to look after an animal that has lost its way, how much more would He want us to look after His most treasures possession- His child ?

  9. Marriage between a man and a woman is symbolic of Jesus and the church. Purity in marriage is very important to the Lord, so purity before him is also important. “Be ye holy as I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:16

  10. Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.

    Do not ignore your responsibility. Be committed. Be faithful. Live Jesus and Give Jesus by obeying His Word. This almost reminds me of last night’s message in how we are all a small part of His body. We are to care for one another and pick-up every and any piece that gets dropped.

    Sometimes at work there is a child who walks slowly or one who was in the bathroom. So they are not with their class. If I see this child I either help them to class of keep them in my room until they can be reunited with their teacher.

    The keeping of these laws were to help keep Isreal from being like the pagan worshippers around them. From returning something that belonged to someone else to proper attire and to planting of seeds. Research indicates that the pagan worship used a mixture of seeds and clothing for rituals of worship to false gods .

    So that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.

    Matthew 25:1-46 ESV

    “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. …

    Though some of the laws may have seemed unmeasurable or unnecessary they were laws.
    They were instructions placed by God. From tassels on clothing marking a distinction to the virginity of a woman. Society /Sin has caused a lot of havoc in our world. Laws natural and spiritual hold no importance too many. Though not commanded to keep many of the laws from the Old Testament there are principles and commandments that we must keep . We the bride of Christ must present our self as a chaste virgin .

  13. 10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

    Why does the bible pay attention to this? Why is it important enough that God tells Israel not to do this, something that we wont really think of?

    I believe this is a metaphor for marriage, because if a donkey and a cow are plowing together, that means they are sharing the same yolks or same burden together. And sometimes donkeys and cows dont get along, donkeys have been known to kill baby cows. Plus their plowing style would be different, cows are bulkier and slower, donkeys would be quicker, it would make for contention to try to get them to do it together.

    So in marriage, you dont want to be married to someone who doesnt hold the same values as you do, you dont want to be unequalled yoked, it only burdens the marriage and makes it harder.

    So the point being, dont be unequalled yolked and dont marry a donkey.

    Help your neighbor today
    It’s raining it’s pouring and the old man could have a flat on the side of the road or be walking in the cold cause his donkey is broke down. I tell you what we’re allowing fear to get ahold of us when passing these broken fragments that may just need someone like you and I to take em to the end of the road or the beginning of their walk with Jesus it’s one of the two. Are you the answered prayer that this person has been seeking for or are you another vessel feeding their depression? Let’s be considerate today in the Lord. Remember the story where Jesus made accusers drop their stones this is the same concept. Moral of it all love and help your neighbor.

    This is the physical representation of not being unequally yoked. For years I used to think that the yolk referred to eggs because I never really took much thought into it. I just knew it was talking about believers and unbelievers not being together. When I researched a little more about what a yolk was I discovered that the reason four unequal yoke is that it makes the ground being plowed uneven. It took me awhile to come to the understanding that it was not as simple as believers and unbelievers but people going into different pathways in life any importance of being equally yoked for the ground that is being plowed will determine whether the seed brings forth harvest

    What sticks out to me in this passage is that the word “divers” is used, I found this as the meaning…. (adjective) showing a great deal of variety; very different: assorted, variegated, mixed, dissimulated, conflicting, multiple, different, just some of the many adjectives used to describe the word “divers/diverse)… WOW!! How many times do we try to blend in with the world so that we don’t make “trouble” and risk the questions of the world on why we don’t do this or we don’t do that? But when we take on the Name of Jesus we are different creatures, and therefore we will never fit in society. I remember a message by Bro. Alan Oggs, “Flowers on the wall”, we just try to ease through daily routines and hide in the shadows so not to disrupt and cause the spotlight to be on us and not be out on society’s microscope. How can we win the lost when we are covering up and hiding our salvation? God has called us to be separate so that we can all men to Him, they can’t be drawn to Him if they can’t see Him in us… POWPOW… WOW

    Exodus 19:5
    Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.

    But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

    A woman should not wear the cloths of a man and a man should not wear the cloths of a woman. For God hads made you who you are. And always obey what God commands you too do .

    Wow, they were square business back in the days. Pretty sure most of us today would be dead with these rules here BC (Before Christ). These folk didn’t even have the Holy Ghost to help them overcome all the temptations of the world. There were hints of grace and mercy in the law however as we know Joseph was going to put Mary aside privately when he thought she had cheated on him.

    One thing is for sure, the schools definitely taught abstinence in Israel ISD and few wanted to get stoned…which is still a good thing.

    How ” times have changed” people get married multiple times and it’s “the norm”. When you encounter a couple that have been married forever and a day it’s a rarity which in all actuality should be the norm!!! I see the consequence of not obeying like in previous chapters……

    Here are several types of instruction but most deal with honesty, purity and common decency. We cant just walk by and see a brother in need and turn our heads, we are to help how we can. Women are to look like women, and men to look like men. Children today are seeing the wrong examples of how we are too look and dress, so it is so important that we be apt to teach, not judge. Sunday school teachers & Bus workers have such an important role in the church today. Who else will show them what is right in speech, in dress and in attitude and actions. The word of God is our lifeline!

  23. 10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

    This is the same example given in the New Testament. All Israelites knew about this law, so when it was told to them, you should not be unequally yoked. They understood perfectly, why being unequally yoked meant.

    Especially for single people, this should be a guiding principle, how much of the important things do you have in common?

    We learn from this verse a powerful spiritual principal about victorious Christian living. When we sow seeds of the Word off GOD we sow and reap LIFE. However when we sow seeds of carnality. We sow seeds of spiritual death.

    For generations people have attempted to live life under this precept. But, the Word off GOD says the field or life will be defiled.

    We cannot sow carnal seeds and reap eternal spiritual life. Carnal living defiles spiritual growth. If we repeatedly find ourselves in the same place. We know why.

  25. Deuteronomy 22:10, (NLT), “You must not plow with an ox and a donkey harnessed together.”

    These are 2 different animals. The ox was “clean” and the donkey was “unclean.”
    Their temperaments are different. Their natural instincts are different. Their sizes are different. They were not compatible. They did not work well together.

    This is talking about being unequally yoked together.
    2 Cor. 6:14-16 says…
    14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
    15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
    16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

    We must remember that We Are The Temple Of The Living God, and as believers, we should not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, but we must keep ourselves unspotted from this world.

  26. 5 A woman must not wear a man’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing. This kind of thing is an abomination to God, your God.

    As mush as society wants to distort the lines between genders and all the terms in between a man and woman – one simply cannot argue with God. There is either a man or woman. We are all born one or the other. Our twisted society and minds can manipulate and contort the views of what a man and woman are, but the fact remains we will all stand in judgement before God as the person he created us as.

    I predict nearly every person on the earth is unhappy, uncomfortable or ashamed of a part of their body. Maybe we were born this way, was injured or injured ourselves. Either way, I believe it is safe to say, everyone would change something about themselves. It can be a difficult thing to love the body you are in but it is the body we have and we only have one.

  27. 22 If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it but be sure to take it back to its owner. 2 If they do not live near you or if you do not know who owns it, take it home with you and keep it until they come looking for it. Then give it back. 3 Do the same if you find their donkey or cloak or anything else they have lost. Do not ignore it.

    Be kind and good to others is what I understand. Nowadays this seems to get overlooked in our so very busy lives. I noticed how the verse starts off with the very first three words (If you notice) then it also says (do not ignore it) not once but twice. So honestly it’s a choice, either notice it or ignore it. But how can we choose to ignore it?! I think that we often don’t see it because we are too focused on our own life to notice what is going on in the lives of others. If we look back on the life of Christ we see that He always had time for others, Jesus didn’t just tell us to be kind, He was a living example of kindness so we must see here that what this says has relevance to our everyday lives. Being kind by looking out for each other is a blessing…. thank you Jesus!!

  28. Scriptures 13 – 30 illustrate purity and marriage. It tells about the consequences of actions. Giving us an understanding of how important it is to God, something that is truly a life or death situation.

    Unfortunately in today’s society, it is presented as something carefree and “everyone’s” doing it, allowing others to enter into a marriage without full comprehension of the covenant being made, and in retrospect being broken when it doesn’t play out the way expected.

    AS we are called to be separate, in but not apart of this world. We are called to live a life demonstrating what God pleases. Showing the importance of what God finds important. Being a living example that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

    Two very different animals, designed for different work cannot carry on doing the same task at the same speed. Same with us. We are all designed for different things. For example: Placing someone who works with children in to teach a class of young adults, or someone who cleans the sanctuary in with administration to run all the reports. We all have different jobs that we are designed to do and we work well with those that are called to do the same thing, but may be a bit detrimental if two different “animals” are trying to do the same job and expected to give the same results.
    I’m thankful for my church. We are taught to listen to where God calls us to serve and serve with excellence. We are encouraged to find what we love to do and how we can worship God, bless others, and give great, dedicated work for the Kingdom.

  30. 4 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

    This is the “it’s not my problem” mentality. It reminds me of the Good Samaritan and how he helped out his brother that he did not even know. The truth is we don’t have to know someone to be a helping hand. We need more people watching our six, looking out for our good rather than looking the other way. To know to do good and do it not, is the same as sin.

    The prodigals will come home and whenever someone in the church is trying to leave we need to bring them back to the house of God where they belong! Not hide from them or be afraid because God has it all in his hands!

    2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

    When they would yoke or harness a donkey and ox together, the ground in which they were plowing would become uneven. This is often used as an example for marriages, but it could also be used for our relationship with God.

    If we live part of our life in the world and the other part in the Kingdom, the path we are walking will become uneven.

    Do not be unequally yoked in your relationship with Jesus.

    “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

    To see your brother in need, and to do nothing, is to do evil. When one has the opportunity to do good.

    Women shall not wear the clothes of men and men shall not wear the clothes of women. For the ones that do disobey the word of God.

  35. 22 “If you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep or goat wandering away, don’t ignore your responsibility.[a] Take it back to its owner.

    God commanding us to do something when we see our brother in need. We all have talents and gifts that God has given us not to keep but to edify others. I believe daily we have the opportunity to help someone. Helping others doesn’t necessarily has to be financially but anyway that we can help our brethren. We have to let God use us, you may never know when your going to reach the next missionary, the next preacher, the next Sunday school teacher, the next evangelist, etc. Lord help me GIVE JESUS DAILY!!!

  36. Deuteronomio 22:8

    Dios ordenaba que se hiciera un barandal para el techo, para que las personas fueran protegidas de caer.

    * “Para que no eches culpa de sangre sobre tu casa” Fallar en construir de una manera segura traería culpa (responsabilidad) sobre el dueño o constructor de la casa. Eran responsables por la seguridad de aquellos que usarían el hogar.

    * Dios demandaba que hicieran barandales en los techos por el bien de la seguridad de los hogares.

    *De la misma forma Nosotros también necesitamos “barandales espirituales” para nuestra protección. Muchas personas, con referencia al pecado, se acercan demasiado a la orilla y se caen. ¡Entonces es demasiado tarde! Necesitamos tener “barandales” protegiéndonos de la orilla. Tales barandales no solo nos protegerán a notros, sino a otros también.

  37. 10.Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together
    Whether this association, like the mixture of seeds, had been dictated by superstitious motives and the prohibition was symbolical, designed to teach a moral lesson (2Co 6:14), may or may not have been the case. But the prohibition prevented a great inhumanity still occasionally practised by the poorer sort in Oriental countries. An ox and ass, being of different species and of very different characters, cannot associate comfortably, nor unite cheerfully in drawing a plough or a wagon. The ass being much smaller and his step shorter, there would be an unequal and irregular draft. Besides, the ass, from feeding on coarse and poisonous weeds, has a fetid breath, which its yoke fellow seeks to avoid, not only as poisonous and offensive, but producing leanness, or, if long continued, death; and hence, it has been observed always to hold away its head from the ass and to pull only with one shoulder
    God what’s his people to stay clean and free from straying away from him. That’s why it is important to marry someone of your Faith. If seen people get married and stray away from God. God warn his people not to do this, not to be unequally yolked.

  38. 5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

  39. To live spiritually we cannot live carnally. So many unmarried people live in sin these days and think nothing of it. Also there is MAN and there is WOMAN. Our messed up society thinks it is fine for woman to be with woman and men with men. This is an abomination against God. It is sad how our world has become. We must follow our one true God Jesus and do what is correct in His eyes.

  40. Deuteronomy 22:4 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them : thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

    God here condemned the sin of doing nothing. To see your brother in need , and do nothing, is to do evil. When one had the opportunity to do good, you must not hide yourself.

  41. “Do the same if you find your neighbor’s donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don’t ignore your responsibility.”

    This Scripture means that, If you find a 10 dollar bill in the ground would you take it or find the person who lost that’s what this verse is talking about.

  42. How many times have I closed my eyes to the needs of my brothers/sisters, then become bitter when they don’t lend a hand to me? Galatians 5:25 KJV
    [25] If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (I feel that living in the Spirit and walking in the Spirit will allow me to have the mind of Christ and sensitive to others needs)

    **The scripture doesn’t say at my convenience “help my brother and only if it benefits me will I help” it says (thou shalt in any case)

    **How come we may (1) do this and not (2) that, is one thing more wrong than the other?

    I feel like because we are not equal that’s why men and women don’t wear same clothes or (mantle, robe, garment) among other reasons but one reason (being we are not equal)

  43. 1“If you see your neighbor’s ox or sheep or goat wandering away, don’t ignore your responsibility. Take it back to its owner.”

    When ‭we see lost people we must bring them back to there home, which is the church and remind them of Jesus Christ. We must also do our responsibilities of reaching out to save the lost souls and bring them back to Jesus Christ in Jesus name!

    The relationship we have with others is very important.?We should be an encouragement to those around, lending a helping hand when we can and when it is appropriate. If relationship wasn’t important, Jesus wouldn’t have centered our salvation in Him around our relationship with Him. I thank God I have a relationship with Jesus as well as those around me. I also thank Him for those He has brought into my life. I pray we lift our brother and sister up as we go through life.

  46. 3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
    4 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
    This shows us what we must do everyday to others. No matter who it is, we must be honest, loving and caring for others. Not only is this a must but it’s one of the Ten Commandments. Doing this will bring blessings from the Lord and edify us to be more like Him.

  47. 9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

    John 15:5
    I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

    If you plant a bunch of different seeds in the same vineyard they take from each other and they don’t grow as good, the same is true in our walk with God if we put to much in our vineyard we can become not as fruitful as God wants us to be, so we need to just abide in him so he can abide in us

    As clear as can be. There is to be separation and distinction between a man and a woman and what the wear. This is called holiness, being separated. It is an abomination to God.

  49. 1 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

    2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

    Looks like God wants us to look after each other, and love each other. How beautiful to be able to trust that we have each others back.

    A marriage relationship should always have a great level of respect and nurture. It should never allow each other to look bad to others. Know the perso

  51. Deuteronomy 22

    I. TO BE THOROUGH IN ALL OUR WORK.
    This is God’s great lesson for us in his own government of the world.

    II. LET US NOT BE ASHAMED TO BE CALLED GOD’S PEOPLE AMID LIFE’S HARD WORK
    . The Israelites were to wear their fringes, to go in uniform, and be pious peasants. The linking of genuine work with professed piety is altogether admirable.

    III. LET US FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF THE PEASANT OF NAZARETH.
    For our Lord became poor, and wrought as an artisan, and lived with the common people, to make a life of labor forever glorious

    It amazes me how many people, want you to prove wear this is found in the Bible. People that will come to you and ask questions of our religion and what we believe and then turn around and ask us to prove where we’ve see that. It’s frustrating sometimes and I just have to stay calm and then pray that the Lord helps me.

  54. ““You shall not see your countryman’s ox or his sheep straying away or being stolen, and ignore [your duty to help] them; you shall certainly take them back to him. If your countryman is not nearby or you do not know him, you shall bring the animal to your house, and it shall stay with you until he searches for it; then you shall return it to him.”

    If you call yourself a Christian and see someone straying away from Christ it is your job to lead them back to Christ. If you see your brother or sister down you are suppose to help them. We are helpers one to another. Hold one another accountable!

  55. “If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it but be sure to take it back to its owner. If they do not live near you or if you do not know who owns it, take it home with you and keep it until they come looking for it. Then give it back. Do the same if you find their donkey or cloak or anything else they have lost. Do not ignore it.”

    Yaaaassss!!!!! When did “finder’s keepers, loser’s weepers,” when you know exactly where something g came from and who it belongs to? And to add to that, when did it become the norm to walk away from a task that you know needs done? Are we not all on the same team working towards the same goal? If you see something in the church needs done, don’t walk by for somebody else to do, no, be a team player and do it yourself. Maybe for once do it because it’s His kingdom and not for our own glory and recognition.

    Showing compassion to our brothers and sister is Christlike love. If you see a need and you have the ability to help or meet the need we need to demonstrate the Love of God and step in.

    “We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?”

  57. Don’t hide when your brother loses his ass

    3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

    4 Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

    We should look out for one another. Don’t run and hide while one of your brothers is having a hard time. Get up and help him. God judges the heart and He sees everything. If you look the other way while someone is in trouble, their trouble is on you.

    He that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

    Don’t let each other suffer when you can do something about it

    This is a very good example of doing a good deed of righteousness. What I learned from this scripture is that we can be an example of Jesus Christ to the world by showing love to one another and treating others as you would like to be treated. There’s always someone in need of a encouraging word or to feel appreciated to get them back on there feet.
