Deuteronomy 25

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.

And if the man like not to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.

Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;

Then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house.

10 And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.

11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

12 Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.

15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

19 Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

  1. 15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

    17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

We should not allow unforgiveness to rule our life. The Bible tells us that we ought to deal with matters fairly and in decent order… Everyone knows the “Golden Rule” and we must practice it! Some say “I can forgive but I can’t forget”.. Kind of a double-edged sword. Forgiveness is truly forgiving and forgetting, there is a time of reflection to prevent unnecessary situations in our future.

  2. 1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

The one thing that the scripture reminds us is that no matter whether your a child of God or a child of the world, we have rules and they have certain consequences that we will have to deal with if we break those rules. The law of Gods is direct and precise. We have to be obedient to the word of God.

The scripture tells us that it rains on the just and unjust alike. We can not allow our flesh to take over with our emotions running wild and not getting the best of us in any circumstance. We have to be disciplined through each step of life that we take. It may not be the path that we wanted to be on but god ordains the steps of the righteous. It does not pay to humiliate your neighbor in any situation. We have to live the word of God so that when the need arises we can give Jesus to those that need him. We have to be the example in this last day.

  3. Verses 13-16 AMP “You shall not have in your bag inaccurate weights, a heavy and a light [so you can cheat others]. You shall not have in your house inaccurate measures, a large and a small. You shall have a perfect (full) and just weight, and a perfect and just measure, so that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you. For everyone who does such things, everyone who acts unjustly [without personal integrity] is utterly repulsive to the Lord your God.” Same verses in CEV “Don’t try to cheat people by having two sets of weights or measures, one to get more when you are buying, and the other to give less when you are selling. If you weigh and measure things honestly, the Lord your God will let you enjoy a long life in the land he is giving you. But the Lord is disgusted with anyone who cheats or is dishonest.” We are learning about this today in Sunday School. “Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching” is called integrity. People pay attention to the things we say and do. When others see you doing the right thing, it shows others that you follow God, it shows your integrity. If they see us living out our faith by displaying integrity, they will be more likely to listen to us when we talk about God with them.

  4. For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God. Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God. God wants us to be honest in everything we do, we may say one thing and it’s not right, God already knows, he judges is by our heart, he knows if we are keeping our oaths, our commitments, and are we taking advantage of the ones that arent able to do what we can, or are we helping them!

  5. 1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

God is in a business of Justice and righteousness, not humiliation; the same way he is will convict us but not condemn. Any type of judgement God gives us it is for our chastisement and not to humiliate us. The word of God tells us that God will chastise the ones that he loves therefore any punishment we receive is meant to be given out of love in the same way the father disciplines his child

  6. 18They attacked you when you were exhausted and weary, and they struck down those who were straggling behind. They had no fear of God.

The enemy will attack you whether you’re weak or strong spiritually. If you are weak, you will be more vulnerable to attack. If strong, you’ll be able to shake off any attacks from the enemy. Through prayer and reading the Word keeps you strong.

  7. 15. But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

You can’t LIVE JESUS and deal falsely in business.

    Proverbs 11:1
A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

    Leviticus 19:
    35. In business dealings, be fair and do not cheat. Measure accurately length, weight, and volume.

    36. Your scales are to be accurate, your weights true, and your containers standard. I am the Eternal your God, who led you out of Egypt. Voice

    INTEGRITY

13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.
14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.
15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

The LORD here deals with the INTEGRITY of the heart of man. In the balance of life we find a scale 0r balance of weight. GOD has granted us the power of choice. We choose right from wrong, honesty from dishonesty, truth from deception and spiritual from carnal.

These are the major weights or balances of life. When I worked in the dairy processing plant, it was mighty duty for several years to mix the ingredients to make dairy products, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese cream, chocolate milk and so on. I used a commercial scale everyday, I followed the recipe everyday the product was tested everyday. If the test results came back out of range and I knew that I measured and weighed the product correctly. We would call the company to come and calibrate the scale. Often from much use the scale would become out of balance and 50 lbs could be 48 or even 52, the scale was no longer honest and had lost its INTEGRITY.

Life is much the same, with much life comes much need for calibration. The WORD of GOD and the Holy Ghost are the guides of calibration. Do we cheat on our taxes, tithes or in business? The Holy Ghost will convict us if we allow it. The WORD of GOD will correct us if we allow it.

The LORD deals with the heart of man in this passage. In your bag of business are your weights equal? in your house are your weights equal? If not, GOD considers that dishonest act of INTEGRITY to be an abomination.

Balshazzar found GOD to be serious on this INTEGRITY and wrote him a message on the wall.

Daniel 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

He had used the things of GOD for his own gain or influence.

iChoose INTEGRITY. I must live with me everyday and I must live eternally with my choices. May the WORD of GOD and the Holy Ghost always keep my human spirit calibrated to the Kingdom of GOD.

  9. Deuteronomy 25:13-16
“You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a large and a small. “You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small. “You shall have a full and just weight; you shall have a full and just measure, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

People like to compare their self to others . Even in their walk with God. Sadly this can cause division and pride. God has set a standard for us to live by . In finances He uses a tithe . In priority Seek you first the Kingdom. In comparison He commands not to do it. Many times we want to get on the scales and turn the dial back so we are not as heavy as we are . Some may want to move it forward . I believe the scripture here could be about honesty , integrity and living by the standards God has set. Live for God without trying to
measure everything on your own personal scales . He says if your burdens are heavy He will make them light . The wages of sin weigh you down and the measure of a tithe if not given correctly can be a curse upon your life. So why not just follow God’s plan . Line upon line . Precept upon precept . Let the word be your scales no more no less .

3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

Wow, I never even knew this scripture existed even though I read it many times. This is the reason when folks got a lashing they only took 39 stripes. They would give 39 just incase they miscounted by one. If they miscounted by one they would have given the maximum of 40. The Jews were very careful to limit the punishment to 39 stripes but, the reason was not for the mercy of the one being beaten…it was for their own selfish reason of not wanting others to see them as “vile”.

  11. If you do not love her the girl is supposed to take your sandal off spit in your face she says this is what happens when you do not help your brother

9 Then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house.
Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt

  12. 25:16 for all that do such things and all that do unrighteously are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

  13. 17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

It’s important to stay with the crowd. Amalek was able to smite those who were lagging behind because they had been separated from their brothers and sisters and they had no protection.

We are at the mercy of the enemy when we isolate ourselves and cut ourselves off from the family of God. Even when going through trials and tests we don’t understand, we must preserve and keep moving, stay with the pack. There’s protection in numbers, there’s protection in the brotherhood of fellowship one with another.

  14. The woman said that this is what you get when you don’t want to bless your brother with kid. She pulled off his sandals and then she spit in his face.

  15. 16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

The only way to please God is to be righteous and follow His commandments.

  16. “Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small. Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small. But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s all about the truth. Why would someone have different measuring utensils except to deal unfairly. Measure for yourself with that larger one. Share with others or God with the smaller one, a lie. These same concepts can be used with money, time, and materials that we have. A tithe should be a true tithe no matter what we are tithing; time, talent, or treasure.

  17. Deut 25:15 [Amp] But you shall have a perfect and just weight and a perfect and just measure. That your days may prolonged in the land which the Lord your gives you. The wages of sin is death, just remember that Holy Ghost will covect us and keep us on the right path with Jesus.
John 10:10 [Amp] The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destory, I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance ( to the full, till it overflows). Jesus is a Good Shepard that risks his [ own] life for his sheep. His chidren]. Just dont forget!

  18. Don’t carry around with you two weights, one heavy and the other light, and don’t keep two measures at hand, one large and the other small. Use only one weight, a true and honest weight, and one measure, a true and honest measure, so that you will live a long time on the land that God , your God, is giving you. Dishonest weights and measures are an abomination to God , your God—all this corruption in business deals!
    Deuteronomy 25:13‭-‬16 MSG
When we live life with true honesty with first of all GOD , yourself and others. You will find so much peace, life, and joy! What a blessing that truly can only come from the LORD. So if you find yourself not being blessed, you may want to examine your heart! Be a blessing and don’t bring a curse on your family.

A false balance and dishonest business practices are extremely offensive to the Lord , But an accurate scale is His delight.
    Proverbs 11:1 AMP

  19. 17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

It is a coward that strikes the feeble and yet that is what our enemy does. Satan will strike when we are weak and defenseless but if when we find ourselves this vulnerable, we must stay in the church and keep holding God’s hand because he will put a hedge around us! Stay in the boat when the storms of life arise.

  20. 18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

19 Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

  21. 1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

We have a justice system today that considers itself more compassionate and kind than God Himself, yet we can’t say that we live in a more just or safe society.

  22. Deuteronomy 25:17-18 (AMP)
    17) Remember what Amalek did to you along the road when you came from Egypt,
    18) How he met you along the road and attacked all the stragglers at your rear when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God.

A straggler is a person in a group who becomes separated from the others, because of moving more slowly. (they linger, they dwadle, they lag behind).

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

Who is the devil seeking to devour? Those who are stragglers and have separated themselves from the group, those who linger, those who dwadle, those who lag behind.

So, no matter how tired and weary you may seem to get, remember to Stay Sober (clear-headed) and Vigilant (watchful); Stay With The Group and Don’t Get Left Behind; and Stay In The Fold Of Safety.

  23. 17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

“Blot out the memory of Amalek” refers to the extinction of the descendents of Amalek. Clearly God was not referring to the world’s knowledge that Amalek existed, else he would not have commanded the Amalekites’ defeat to be recorded. He wanted the incidents to be remembered, so that future generations would realize that God, not the Israelites, defeated the Amalekites and avenged their unjust treatment of others.
We must remember that it was JESUS who found us and picked up the the crums (us) and turned our life around. It was His grace, His blood, His love for us in that cross. He reminds us to seek Him everyday and all the time. Live Jesus, Give Jesus.

  24. 16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

All we have to do is repent, and obey.

  25. 16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.
the people that are unrighteous and sin are abominations to the lord.

  26. “For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God. Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Two values that are important to hold dear in our lives is to have integrity and to have respect for God. Integrity is often defined as ‘what we do when no one is watching’ but we have to remember God is watching. Jesus said “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” Luke‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬. I thank God for the two-edged sword He provided to allow us to walk with Him. I pray as we live+give Jesus, we take into account how we act when we feel no one is watching.

  27. “You shall not have in your bag inaccurate weights, a heavy and a light [so you can cheat others]. You shall not have in your house inaccurate measures, a large and a small. You shall have a perfect (full) and just weight, and a perfect and just measure, so that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you. For everyone who does such things, everyone who acts unjustly [without personal integrity] is utterly repulsive to the Lord your God.
    Deuteronomy 25:13‭-‬16 AMP
    https://bible.com/bible/1588/deu.25.13-16.AMP

Nobody likes a cheat!!! Its a fact. But how do you measure up with the lord? Is your spirit large in church on Sundays and small Monday through Friday. Do you only half heartily give yourself to God but give your whole heart to other idols and things. Its not balanced when you walk around church with your whole heart praising and worshiping Jesus, then when you leave its a sometime thing. Don’t cheat God of his praise and don’t cheat yourself of the relationship you could have with Jesus. Always be wholeheartedly in it. Always seek his love.

Its always so much better to be honest in all we do!

  29. This scripture talks about dishonesty, having scales that are inaccurate. When you cheat someone you are inadvertently cheating yourself. You are missing out of praise and blessings from God. We should live to serve God. Nothing is worthy of losing God’s grace
joy and happiness. Be fair in all you do.

  30. 19 Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

  31. 14 You shall not have in your house two kinds of measures, a large and a small. 15 A full and fair[a] weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

There is not two differing measurement but there is only one that measures and His name is Jesus. We should weigh all things buy the word and live a life of integrity in our homes and out of our homes. That we will not confuse ourselves or those in our homes. E measurement of who Jesus is and how we are to live for Him is based on the Word and it will confuse others if we live in a manner that is not according to His word.

  32. 19 Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

God is able to give us rest from the trials of life. In him we can find such a rest that we will not be weary. Our focus must be on him in all we do. When we allow God to fight our battles, we come out victorious every time.

  33. 5 If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

I joke with my wife about this scripture. I told her when she was pregnant with Olivia that if I die she could marry my brother and have all the kids she wanted but I was finished. She doesn’t really like the joke so…

But really we are suppose to take care of one anotherS not just let our families fall apart because one dies or even has a falling out. We have to keep our families together. God show us wisdom and let us use it to keep unity.

  34. “They attacked you when you were exhausted and weary, and they struck down those who were straggling behind. They had no fear of God.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/deu.25.18.nlt

Don’t be fooled but when the enemy will attack you, this particular time would be the adversary’s appropriate time of attack. He’s gonna try and get you when you’re weak and weary. When serving God to the best of your ability and reaching the Lost you’re painting a target on your back because you are a fine tool to be used by God to reach the Lost. It’s important not to wear your tired look on you. It’s important not to show your weakness because the target on your back only gets bigger.
You might be saying what does this have to do with today’s chapter, well folks I believe the scripture is reminding us when “they attacked” and it was during the time the others were “exhausted and weary” and the others behind didn’t “make it”
So be strong in the Lord because he’s got something for you and you never know what it might be.

  35. 14 You shall not have in your house two kinds of measures, a large and a small.
15 A full and fair weight you shall have, a full and fair measure you shall have, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Obedience. That’s the key. Follow Christ and walk in His obedience.

  36. 18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God

The joy of the Lord is our strength.

  37. Judges and Disputes
The ways court cases are to be decided is clearly mentioned. A judge will listen to both parties and then determine who is guilty. The guilty person will receive 40 lashes, but no more. More than 40 lashes would be considered an attempt at degrading the person.

    Brothers and Widows
When a man dies and his wife is left a widow and the man lived with his brother, the brother shall marry her. Any children born of the marriage must carry on the name of the man who passed away so his name will never disappear from the earth. If the brother does not wish to marry her, the woman may go to the town elders who will try and convince the man. If he still refuses to marry, she may take one of his sandals and spit in his face. His family line will be mocked from then on forward.

When two men fight and one of their wives interferes by attacking the private parts of the man who is not her husband, her hand shall be cut off.

    Weights and Measures
Uniformity among the weights and measures is to eliminate cheating and stealing. The Lord despises those who cheat and steal so it is understandable why He requires uniformity.

God also asks His people to remember when the Amalekites attacked them when they were weary. Taking advantage of God’s day of rest helps ensure that no one is so weary they become an easy victim or are unable to perform in their duties. He said the name of the Amalekites is to be one that is cursed.

  38. 17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

We face the same kind of enemy. We prepare so well with so much hope and faith, but we don’t keep watch. We must be prepared at all times He will not launch an attack when we are so full of optimism, confidence, and faith! The enemy launches an attack when we begin to feel feeble. He attacks our weak points. I don’t want to forget today’s word God is always up to somethings!! He never fails us. Let’s remember to always feed our souls and build our strength spiritually. Keeping ourselves prepared for those times of trouble knowing that God equipped us for all battles. God is fortress and strength in times of trouble. He is our ROCK!!

16 The Lord your God hates anyone who is not always honest.
    Deuteronomy 25:15-16 EASY

You should always be honest don’t lie to try to get your way. Always be yourself be honest to your self and God. God loves when we are honest. God hates when we lie and are dishonest to him always have a pure heart and be honest all the time.

  40. ““You shall not have in your bag inaccurate weights, a heavy and a light [so you can cheat others]. You shall not have in your house inaccurate measures, a large and a small. You shall have a perfect (full) and just weight, and a perfect and just measure, so that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you. For everyone who does such things, everyone who acts unjustly [without personal integrity] is utterly repulsive to the LORD your God.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:13-16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

You can’t lie to god. He knows all. Just be upfront and honest with him and yourself. You don’t want to be a disappointment. Examine yourself and if there is something that you know god is not pleased with turn from it. You can’t hide anything from god he knows all.

  41. 17 Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;

18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

19 Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot our the rememberance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

The Lord God does not like evil to attack His people.

    Hallelujah!!

    Praise the Lord our God!!

Definition of blot out. transitive verb. 1 : to make obscure, insignificant, or inconsequential. 2 : wipe out, destroy.

This is what we are to do to the enemy. Destroy anything that has to do with the enemy, anything that the enemy has tried to use against us or used to distract us, anything that appears evil, anything that isn’t the will of GOD in our lives…. not everyone has the same standards…….. just because our brother or our sister does it , doesn’t mean that it is ok for us to do….

You must use weights and measures that are honest and exact. Then you will live a long time in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”

Use only one weight, a true and honest weight, and one measure, a true and honest measure, so that you will live a long time on the land that GOD, your God, is giving you. Dishonest weights and measures are an abomination to GOD, your God—all this corruption in business deals!”

Are we giving the fullness of ourselves to God? Our we measuring our sacrifice and our faith with an honest eye, or just however much we feel like giving that day. Our faith must be stretched so that bigger vision can be gained. Our faith must be weighed carefully because it determines the amount of our sacrifice!!

  48. 18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.
19 Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

Amalek did NOT fear God and for that God request for him to be forgotten. That would be an extremely sad day to be forgotten from the kingdom of God. Just because we were too prideful and couldn’t fear the almighty, powerful God that spoke us into existence!! Is it worth that??

  49. “Therefore, when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies in the land he is giving you as a special possession, you must destroy the Amalekites and erase their memory from under heaven. Never forget this!”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When God delivery us from sin and cleans us with His blood and take possession of His word and His Holy Spirit in our lives and have rest in Him. We continue to kill those bad habits, we begging to battle against those things that we no longer need in our lives as we begging to change and become new again. That when we begin to kill the Amalekites and erase the memory of sin but never forget from where God has brought us from.
