Deuteronomy 26

And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the Lordthy God shall choose to place his name there.

And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the Lord thy God, that I am come unto the country which the Lord sware unto our fathers for to give us.

And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the Lord thy God.

And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lordheard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:

11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

13 Then thou shalt say before the Lord thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them.

14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

  1. 16This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. 17Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice: 18And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; 19And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken. KJV

    16“Today the LORD your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly. 17You have declared today that the LORD is your God. And you have promised to walk in his ways, and to obey his decrees, commands, and regulations, and to do everything he tells you. 18The LORD has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands. 19And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the LORD your God, just as he promised.” NLT.

    As we walk with God in this journey of life, I have made a vow that I will love the Lord with all my heart, soul, and might. I will keep his commandments and do them. I want to live in submission and obedience. Most people of this generation may think that it is showing weakness and not being strong makes me a target for failure. I beg to differ with anyone who thinks that. I find that when I am weak he becomes my strength. When I’m down he picks me up. When I need healing he is my healer. The reason is because I love him because he first loved me. I am a peculiar people to him and I am his treasure. We have the greatest opportunity known to man. We just have to submit to his authority and love him without any conditions or stipulations.

    I want to be elevated above those that hate me and hate the kingdom not because of who I am but because of obedience. We have the greatest opportunity to have a great revival and see God’s spirit be poured out. It is time to push past the hurt and let the power of the Holy Ghost take us to higher places in the kingdom of God. The best part is that I get to serve God and my church because I want to. It’s all about living Jesus so we can give Jesus.

  2. In the NLT verses 16-19 are captioned “A Call to Obey the Lord’s Commands” as they say “Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly. You have declared today that the Lord is your God. And you have promised to walk in his ways, and to obey his decrees, commands, and regulations, and to do everything he tells you. The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands. And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.” The previous chapter spoke about our integrity and now doing things “wholeheartedly”, which means with complete sincerity and commitment”. Pastor said last night, we must speak what we want into existence. So we must declare it this day and every day that the Lord is my God, I will walk in his ways, I will obey his decrees, commands and regulations, and do everything he tells me. LIVE-GIVE JESUS.

  3. 15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    The word “avouch” stood out to me and for hit home to me… The meaning according to Webster:
    Definition of a vouch (transitive verb)1 : to declare as a matter of fact or as a thing that can be proved : affirm. 2 : to vouch for : corroborate. 3a : to acknowledge (something, such as an act) as one’s own.

    We are known by the word of our testimony. God has given each of us a unique (peculiar) testimony. Yes, we are instructed to give back of our firstfruits in money, time and the words of our mouths to God. We should eagerly share our testimony and the testimony of Jesus Christ taking on flesh and dying for our sins that we could have eternal life… Daily!!

    Psalms 119:88
    Quicken me after thy lovingkindness;
    so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

    You get what you say, not what you only think about.

    Mark 11:
    23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAITH.

  5. Deut.26: 7-8 [Amp] And when we cried to the Lord the God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our
    [cruel] oppression.
    [8] And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, and with great ( awesome) power and with signs and with wonders. He brought us into a place and gave us this land. A land following with milk and honey. What a mighty God we serve! Bring him our first fruits. He hears our cry’ s and know our needs. Through all trails and tribulations. By obeintant and submissive to him. He will answer prayer in his time. Just cry out to Jesus and tell him what you want him to do. ” Halaula Praise God “.

  6. 18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    Peculiar – separate, different, strange or odd; unusual.

    People who follow His commandments, follow His love, and have been bought by His Blood. Jesus freaks, Holy rollers, fire talkers, Jesus Only, heard it all! Is that’s what it takes for Jesus to call me peculiar I don’t want to be normal!!!

  7. Deuteronomy 25
    4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

    Impress Them On Your Children
    Father today o pray that every Bible Story spoken. Every prayer prayed. Every miracle seen . Every message heard. Every scripture memorized will stay impressed into our children’s life’s. No matter where they go and the choices they make You will bring to there memory . The commandments and principles of your word . Do not let them stray from truth and keep their hearts and minds as they walk through this world. I pray that every backslidden son daughters family members this week will begin to recall the blessings of God they once felt. The call of being in your presence . That everywhere they go they begin to see YOU remi ding them if your precious promises .
    I Denver a time where we made a practice to have a Bible laying open or accessible in every room and done type of scripture reminder in each room. We must continue to apply the Word of God . It is so important to teach our children when they our young.
    Daily applying the word into their life. Hear Oh Israel the Lord our God is one ……memorizing the Word quoting scripture at the dinner table shaving them lead prayer at bedtime challenging them to know the Word through trivia. One if the things my son and grandchildren recall about my husband was he would sit and ask questions from the Bible . He would have a bag of prizes and gold $ coins as rewards for the correct answer. A family tradition at Christmas especially but even when not with them he’d send a message out a bit of trivia to see who would come up with the correct answer . What was he doing . Impressing the Word upon their hearts . What are we talking about when we sit down with our families. Stop and listen as pastor said in the message last night ? An abundance of rain ? Yes impress it upon them .

    .Proverbs 22:6
    Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

  8. 10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:
    11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

    Everything that THE LORD GIVES IS GOOD!!! EVEN WHEN IT HURTS!!! Sometimes we don’t get tio see the why or who, BUT ALLLL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD TO THEM THAT LOVE GOD, to them who are called ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.
    , (not our purpose but HIS)

  9. 18-19 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    It is easy to forget who we are sometimes. When we forget this, we start claiming credit or start blaming Him for things. Pride and ungratefulness is the sin that got Satan kicked out of heaven, and it’s the source of all our sins. When we stop being grateful to God, we get into trouble.

    Romans 1:21 Yes, [people] knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.

    Everything we have in life, the ability to see, the ability to hear, the ability to eat, your freedom, your thoughts; we owe to God. We would not take our next breath if it weren’t for the goodness of God. We wouldn’t exist if God hadn’t made us to love us.

  10. iLove Jesus
    7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lordheard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

    The Lord will always hear your cry. No matter what the situation no matter what the trial, when we humble ourselves in true heartfelt prayer and cry unto him, He will allows hear that cry. He is not blind, he is not deaf, his hand is not too short to save, he is not dead, but my God is alive and well and ready to rescue us from the snare and trap of the enemy. Thank You Jesus!

  11. 6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

    7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lordheard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

    8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

    9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    It wasn’t until they cried out to the Lord that their situation changed.

    You have to use your voice to change your circumstance.

  12. Always always the Lord hears our cries. He is faithful and just. Stay close to God and you will attain victory.

  13. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    REASONS TO REJOICE

    11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

    IN EVERY GOOD THING!

    What a lifestyle concept. REJOICE in EVERY Good Thing the Lord has given us. You talk about making oppression and depression go out of business in the church.

    DO This:

    Give NO attention to the negative things that life presents and ALWAYS REJOICE in EVERY Good THING the LORD gives us, our house, our family, our church, and even people we do not know like in Thailand and Bangladesh and all over the world.

    Understand the cunning ways of the devil; steal peace, kill joy and destroy hope. BUT, created are the ways of GOD.

    HIS PEACE is with us:
    John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

    HIS Joy is our STRENGTH
    Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

    In HIM we HOPE all Things
    Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    Refuse to dwell on, meditate on, worry over the negatives in life and choose to focus on EVERY GOOD THING that GOD has done for you and you will be FILLED with REASONS TO REJOICE.

    Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

  14. 18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    We are God’s chosen people, he specifically picked us for this generation. Not before….God not only knew we would be alive during this time but he designed us to be here. Each and every one of us are called to serve the kingdom for this generation. People will be won and souls will be saved bc of the work he is doing through us in this time. There isn’t a better or more qualified people than the ones the God hand picks for each generation. Such privilege has requirements as well, all of which as just as designed to protect us from things. We are a peculiar people.

  15. 18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    Keeping commandments is not priority in a rebellious nation. God knows they would be peculiar to their neighboring nations because they are not to be like them. Therefore, it would be hard for them to be understood. Truth is until they have been through what God has brought Israel through then they really would not understand the significance. We do not need approval of other nations to serve our God has be desires. We are his, and therefore in need to be holy because he commands it for He is holy.

  16. 12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

    This takes passion to help the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within our city. to be able to be a mentor center. Grace place, Just to be a helping hand that time will come.

  17. “This day the Lord your God commands you to do these statutes and judgments (precepts). Therefore, you shall be careful to do them with all your heart and with all your soul (your entire being). Today you have [openly] declared the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk [that is, live each and every day] in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments (precepts), and listen to His voice. Today the Lord has declared that you are His people, His treasured possession, just as He promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments; and that He will set you high above all the nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor: and that you shall be a holy people [set apart and consecrated] to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”
    Deuteronomy 26:16‭-‬19 AMP

    What a beautiful relationship! Your obedience brings you closer to the Saviour❤ what joy we feel as He embraces us with His love!! Why would we ever want to be anywhere else? Letting go of the world…just surrender your heart to Jesus. Best Life ever!!!

    LISTENED TO YOU, AND I HELPED YOU

    Behold, now is THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,
    Behold, now is THE DAY OF SALVATION.🙌🙌🙌
    ——

    This day The Lord thy God hath commanded thee
    To do these statutes and judgments
    Thou shall for keep them and do them with all your heart
    And with all thine soul.
    In Jesus name.
    Yesterday has past, let keep going forward now is the time.
    Let’s do it!!!
    I read( the word)
    I believe it
    I SPEAK. It
    I obey it
    … and it shall come to pass
    In Jesus name, amen.

  19. 17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    To avouch the Lord and walk in his ways it stated that not only are we to bring a tithe before the Lord but we are to help take care of those that don’t have a home here, the widow, and the fatherless. So everything that God gives us it’s not just for us we are to give back to the Lord and we are also commissioned to help take care of the community around us especially those that are less fortunate. There is so much need in our community these days and in Isaiah 58 it calls us to be repairers of the breach. That a fountain will spring up from us and everything from our past will be used to build a bridge for the future and repair the lives of those around us. Jesus called us to do greater things than he did. He only had three years on this Earth to walk in the flesh. It’s one thing to raise the dead which is a phenomenal miracle that I hope to see one day but it’s also another to give a single mother and her children food and a safe place to sleep and a place to work and a help her find a new identity in Christ. We are called to be repairers of the breach!

  20. 7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lordheard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

    8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

    9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    When your in your darkest times filled with evil, all you need to do is call his name and he will outstretch his arm to you in no time and put you back in the right path.

  21. 7 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    It is a two way street with the Lord. The people avouched “affirmed” the Lord to be their God, and in return God avouched “affirmed” the people to be His chosen, peculiar people.

    Too many times we expect God to do this and that for us, like Johnny on the spot. However, God responds to us, if we do, He will. His responses are reciprocal to our actions. We pray for miracles, yet we live like the world, we pray for healings, yet we don’t take care of our own bodies in the manner we should. When we do our part, God will do His. It’s up to us.

  22. 9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that flow with milk and honey.
    if you work and follow god will bless you and give you many wonders.

  23. 17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    We state we are his first and vow to obey his commands, then God vows we are his people as we follow his commands. It is our commitment that begins a relationship with the mighty God. I hear the abundance of rain of revival in my family, prodiglas coming home and deliverance for my sons! I speak Spiritual life into the lives of our children and grandchildren. As for me and my house, we WILL serve the Lord!

  24. “Therefore, when the Lord your God has given you rest from all your enemies in the land he is giving you as a special possession, you must destroy the Amalekites and erase their memory from under heaven. Never forget this!”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭25:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    When God delivery us from sin and cleans us with His blood and take possession of His word and His Holy Spirit in our lives and have rest in Him. We continue to kill those bad habits, we begging to battle against those things that we no longer need in our lives as we begging to change and become new again. That when we begin to kill the Amalekites and erase the memory of sin but never forget from where God has brought us from.

  25. 3Go to the priest in charge at that time and say to him, ‘With this gift I acknowledge to the LORD your God that I have entered the land he swore to our ancestors he would give us.

    Yes, acknowledge God at all times. When you bring and offering, God too acknowledges your offering. Do so joyfully and with good intent, and don’t expect something in return. God will bless you when you least expect it.

  26. ““You must then say in the presence of the Lord your God, ‘My ancestor Jacob was a wandering Aramean who went to live as a foreigner in Egypt. His family arrived few in number, but in Egypt they became a large and mighty nation. When the Egyptians oppressed and humiliated us by making us their slaves, we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors. He heard our cries and saw our hardship, toil, and oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and powerful arm, with overwhelming terror, and with miraculous signs and wonders. He brought us to this place and gave us this land flowing with milk and honey!

    Afterward you may go and celebrate because of all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household. Remember to include the Levites and the foreigners living among you in the celebration.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:5-9, 11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    God had for sending Jacob and his family to Egypt. When they lived in Canaan, there was great risk of the family just assimilating with the wicked, pagan peoples around them. To prevent this, and to allow the nation to grow, God sent them down to Egypt, which was a very racist society, and who would not intermarry with Israel. Therefore, they could go down there few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty.

    Sometimes God send us to go through trials and there sometime we get heart broken beaten. He doesn’t do it cause he doesn’t love us, but I believe that sometimes we have to go through it so that we cry out to him, not your friend, not your family but cry out to Him as the Israel did. This trials are not for us to be away from God, or to be mix with the things of this world but to grab a hold of God’s hand and became close to Him. After the trial take a hold of what we go throw and share it with those who you encounter in your journey to encourage them and take possession of what God has given you and used it in our ministries.

  27. ““Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.””
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:16-19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    There’s a great victory in obedience.

    “But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.””
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭15:22-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  28. And God said go into the land where there will be milk and bread at your new place where your ancestors will stay and we will stay

    2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the Lordthy God shall choose to place his name there

  29. 16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgements;: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

    17 Thouhast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgements, and to hearken unto his voice:

    18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.

    I thank you, Lord God, for what You have done, what You are doing, and what You are going to do for and in the Pentecostals Of Fort Worth!!!

    Hallelujah!!

    Praise be to the Lord our God!!

  30. 8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders

    Whenever we experience a time of trouble we have the assurance of knowing that we can call upon of Heavenly Father to help us through our trials and tribulations, just like the shepherd he will leave the ninety-nine to rescue the one that Is lost and dying.

  31. : Deuteronomy 26:1-11 What great things has the Lord done in your lives? Do you remember? Being thankful is the first characteristic that God shapes into His people’s lives by having them remember His wonderful grace to them in bringing them into the land. This is the second of four Living Commentary messages on Deuteronomy 26 that draw us closer to God.

    Each of the three paragraphs of Deuteronomy 26 highlight a special way that God cultivated the best lives for the Israelites. They will not sound unfamiliar for they are the same that we read in the New Testament. We will discuss the first one in this article.

    Being Thankful shapes our affection for God (Dt 26:1-11)
    Being Kind helps others in need (Dt 26:12-15)
    Being Committed determines the welfare of our lives (Dt 26:16-19)
    A) Being Thankful Shapes our Affection for God (Dt 26:1-11)

    Once God’s people get to the land, they are to be careful to do one thing. This is not one of those laws that they need to do every month or year, but just once. How many dedications do you have for a building? Just one. This is what is happening here in verses 26:1-11.

    This is the importance of dedications. You summarize the history, purpose and are able to give rightful recognition to those who have contributed to the project, in this case God.

  32. Deuteronomy 26:11
    And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.
    When I read this I thought of the saying,is your glass half full or half empty? God does so much for us. Look at the 3rd world countries. No running water, electricity, and sometimes no food. If you know where your next meal is coming from and you have shelter like we do in the USA, we are in the upper 10% of the world! How can we ever think our glass is half empty? God is so good to us but so many people do not realize what they have. Thank you God for the P.O.F.W. church and all the wonderful people there!

  33. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and powerful arm, with overwhelming terror, and with miraculous signs and wonders. “Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations.
    Deuteronomy 26:8‭, ‬16‭-‬18 NLT

    Redeemed , reconciliation are the words I here today . Jesus mighty name ..

  34. “Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”
    Deuteronomy 26:16‭-‬19 NLT

    The Lord has promised to bless our obedience. He reminds us, if we have made a promise, it’s imperative to obey wholeheartedly. If He has fulfilled our promises to us, we should be faithful to complete our promises to Him.

  35. Deuteronomy 26:11, “And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.”

    As I read this scripture, something Pastor said last night came to mind. He said, “… God is up to something Bigger; God is up to something More; God is up to something Greater; God is Orchestrating something that I cannot see; God is Working on something I don’t understand, and if he showed it, if he revealed it even right now, I could not comprehend it.”
    God is always Giving; God is always Blessing; God is always doing Great Things for us. Therefore, we should Always be REJOICING in HIM!

    Thank You JESUS for Everything!!

  36. “And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    God has called us to be peculiar or different. Some might even say strange or weird. Just like the forerunner to Jesus Christ himself ate wild locusts and honey, wearing camel skins, and living off the land. He was strange, but he was who God choose to be the Messiah’s forerunner. When you look and talk like everyone else and there is nothing to distinguish you as being different, you blend in with the world around you. Then your voice is muffled by all the other voices around you that sound just like you. But God called us to be different. Jesus himself came with an unpopular message that got him murdered. His ways and his preaching were unlike anyone else’s of his day. His voice stood out clearly in a crowd to where you could hear him over thousands. The light is peculiar to the darkness. It doesn’t understand how one small flint could light up a whole room. We are called to be that peculiar light, to stand out, to shine. Even if we are misunderstood, the world sees that we are different. It takes uniqueness to reach the diversity of the world. Without our differences we can’t do God’s work. Go reach the ones that I can’t. I’ll reach the ones that you can’t.

  37. Deuteronomio 26:11
    “Y te alegrarás en todo el bien que Jehová tu Dios te haya dado a ti y a tu casa, así tú como el levita y el extranjero que está en medio de ti”

    * “Te alegrarás en todo el bien que Jehová tu Dios te haya dado a ti”
    Cuando recibimos del Señor, y le damos algo de regreso, nos alegra. Es la respuesta apropiada que debemos tener hacia Nuestro Dios cuando le ofrezcamos algo. Pues el es quien nos da todas las cosas buenas que tenemos.

  38. “So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and powerful arm, with overwhelming terror, and with miraculous signs and wonders.”(Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

    The Lord has never failed to bring us out of anything we have been through in life. The Lord’s righteous right hand has always held us through the fire we’ve walked through. His powerful arm that has always stretched before us has never failed to crush our enemies with overwhelming terror.

  39. Thou shalt rejoice

    Deuteronomy 26:9 KJV
    [9] And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    Deuteronomy 26:15 KJV
    [15] Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

    Deuteronomy 26:16 KJV
    [16] This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

    Romans 4:20-21 KJV
    [20] He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; [21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

  40. 10-11 Then place it in the Presence of God, your God. Prostrate yourselves in the Presence of God, your God. And rejoice! Celebrate all the good things that God, your God, has given you and your family; you and the Levite and the foreigner who lives with you.MSG

    It is easy for us to praise God when things are going good; but we also need to praise God thru the storms also. Praise Gid thru the high and the lows.

  41. 16 ‘Today, the Lord your God commands you to obey these decrees and rules. Be careful to obey them. Be happy to do this because you love the Lord .
    18 Today, you have said that the Lord is your God. You have said that you will give him pleasure. You have said that you will obey his rules. You will do everything that he commands .
    Deuteronomy 26:16‭-‬17 EASY
    https://bible.com/bible/2079/deu.26.16-17.EASY

    You should always obey the Lord our God and what he has commanded you to do. God can bless you and your family in many ways. We have to obey and follow God always. God always knows what he is doing for us.

  42. 8 And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

    Our God is a deliver. When in trouble, hiss mighty hand saves us. Never forget about what God is able to do in you’re life. He had the power to lift you up even at you’re lowest. We serve an amazing God.

  43. 16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

    17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    Oh Lord…!!! Hallelujah Jesus🙌🙌 We have affirmed with all our hearts to keep his commandments, live by his statutes, listen to his voice, and walk in his ways.

    That word avouched means, to call. God calls us to be his peculiar people and calls us by name to enter into his promise. He calls is to uplift his name above all nations, he calls us to praise and to glorify his greatness. He calls us to be a holy and righteous people.

  44. 17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

    You should follow the commandments that the Lord gives you, and follow the path that the Lord made you. Listen to the voice of the Lord.

  45. 15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    The relationship between God and His people is a giving relationship. He gives to us and we give back to Him. His Word and labor of love should never return void unto Him. He requires our love through obedience. Let us learn to show Him love daily buy obeying him.

  46. 16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
    17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    Such honor and blessing is upon our lives when we follow God’s commands. Victory is ours without a doubt. God puts highest above all when we obey. Let us lift our praises to our Lord Jesus for His grace and love for all.

  47. 16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

    We should Odey is commands and do it with all are heart and soul

  48. 17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

    18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

    19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

    Avouched, in the sense of “to confess,” “avow,” “publicly and solemnly declare.” The Hebrew form is likewise unique (Hiph. of ‘amar).
    When we decided to follow Jesus, we made avow to serve Him with all of our heart, soul, and might. That means follow Him everyday, take up my cross an follow Him. To be able to follow Him, I must deny my self, and take up His cross everyday. That means to put Jesus first, First the Kingdom! Love God with everything I have. As we walk with Him, we must remember that He is and always be there for you and I. No matter what kind of situation we might be in, we must remember our vow we made to Him.
    Psalms 46:1-3
    God is our shelter and strength, Our soon help in tribulations.

    2 Therefore, we will not fear, even if the earth is removed,
    And the mountains are transferred to the heart of the sea;

    3 Though they roar and their waters are troubled,
    And the mountains tremble because of their bravery.

  49. ““Today the Lord your God has commanded you to obey all these decrees and regulations. So be careful to obey them wholeheartedly.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/deu.26.16.nlt

    Following the beginning of this chapter this command applies to that. We gotta give wholeheartedly and full of joy. It’s just part of it and we have to see why, it should be easy if you consider everything Jesus went through for us. Giving should be the easiest thing.

  50. 16 The Lord your God commands you this day to follow these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul.

    This verse really stuck out to me in the biblegateway version. It kinda reminds me of when God asks us to do something. We have to obey him. At the end of this verse it says “ carefully observe them with all your heart and with all your soul” this saying makes me think of kinda like life and our language. Us as humans have to think before we say things, that is called observing what we say. When you hear someone say with all your soul, that means you have to put a lot of thought into it. We as Christians have to be very carful in what we do and think. We always have to have our minds and hearts on Jesus our savior. What I am trying to say out of all of this is, that we have to be carful of what we think and do. PUT YOUR MIND TO IT POFW!!😀

  51. 1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

    All too often we try to skip steps on our way to our blessings. We either fail to go in, because we give up before we get there, or we try to stay somewhere that Jesus has not given us. Sometimes we fail to possess our blessings, or we get there and we don’t stay.

    Just because we make it to our blessings, doesn’t mean it is all roses from there. Sometimes we still have to WORK.

  52. “The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    This Scripture means that, we as a Body of Christ are worth a lot of value in The Eyes of The Lord, And we must obey The Commandments of Our Father who is in heaven.

  53. 19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

  54. The Lord has declared today that you are his people, his own special treasure, just as he promised, and that you must obey all his commands. And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”
    Deuteronomy 26:18‭-‬19 NLT

    We can be hard headed and disobey his commandments and wonder why things don’t go as we would like them to go. We can blame it on others or even reproach God for it. When the key is in our obedience. If we just obey His Word He has promised us so many blessings that we can’t even imagine.

  55. 17 Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice: 18 And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments.
    Getting to renew vows is something sacred.
    All we have belongs to God especially our life. Commitments we’ve made promises, what’s more intimate than vows we make to some one we love. Setting aside a time to remember our vows becomes a guide in our life. As I read this today it helped remind me of my vows to God, to follow Him and serve Him as long as I have breath. Thank you Jesus for the reminder.

  56. 2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name there.

    Tithing is more than just our money. I’ve got to learn and get in the habit of giving more than just money. It could be physical objects and donations to the church, to Pastor, or certain ministries. It could be the time spent helping at events, cleaning the church, working on fixing up the church or Pastor’s home, etc. Or it could even be just giving of our talents. If you specialize in doing something for a living, when the church or Pastor have a need help without charging an arm and a leg. Giving of our talents is a portion so many people forget to give of. Almost as though they are worried if they show what they can do, they may be taken advantage of. Give to the Lord our FIRST FRUITS!! What have you given lately? An over abundance or the bare minimum??

  57. ““When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you as a special possession and you have conquered it and settled there, put some of the first produce from each crop you harvest into a basket and bring it to the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    The end goal is to spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus. Not to reach a certain title or particular blessing from God. We should spend our time here continually reaching, leading, and impacting those around us to build the Kingdom of God.

  58. 6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

    7 And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

    And When we cried into the God of our fathers….

    There heart had been in bondage but not harsh conditions. There bondage was so long that most did not know a life out of bondage. God grew tired of the confort they enjoyed in there sinful lives, he brought but a pharaoh that truly oppressed the people.

    Even though none knew to God, there was a a few that remember the God of there Fathers. So they cried out.

    No matter how far you try to get and how long you’ve been away, God will reach into your life, shake it up a little and remind you somehow who to call.

    It might seem wrong to Interrupt the lives of those that have it made in the world, happy and comfortable. But never forget that if they died in there condition, there’s a place prepared for the disobedient.

    Make no exceptions on who to witness to, everyone regardless of how the feel or believe need a Saviour!

  59. Then you and the Levites and the foreigners residing among you shall rejoice in all the good things the Lord your God has given to you and your household.

    We must rejoice in everything that He has given us. Just alone having breathe and not being sick is a blessing. Many take life for granted and are seeking treasures from the world but we must open our eyes and rejoice in all the good that He has given us. For when we rejoice we give back u to Him. Because we know that everything we have was given to us from Him we will give back. I will give my praise, shout, money, time, talent, etc. LIVE AND GIVE JESUS

  60. “Then you shall declare before the Lord your God: “My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down into Egypt with a few people and lived there and became a great nation, powerful and numerous.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:5‬ ‭NIV

    A lot of the Israelites that entered into the promised land were not those that had actually been under oppression in Egypt but had heard from the generation above them of the hardship they endured while there. They merely knew stories but could not speak for themselves what had taken place in Egypt just as many of us can testify for our own lives. There are many of ya that have never had to go through this life under the oppression of the world, we do not know what it’s like to be of the world, but merely what it is to be in the world. We do not have stories to share with others about what life is like without Christ in our life, but that does not mean we don’t have a testimony. We should give thanks to God just as the Israelites brought an offering to the Lord for allowing those before them to be taken out of Egypt. Thank him for everything he’s kept you from, and for allowing those before you to till the path to God for you.

  61. Deuteronomy Ch 26 Daily Blog

    I watched this sermon by Cortt Chavis titled ‘Pharaoh’s Fine Print’ in which he talked about how when Moses told Pharaoh to let the Israelites go and sacrifice, Pharaoh wanted to put conditions on their leaving which went against what God said. Chavis talked about how at one point Pharaoh gave the condition that the Israelite people could go but their cattle had to stay in Egypt. This condition would have meant that the Israelites would have no sacrifice to give unto God once they left. Chavis then went on to talk about how detrimental leaving your sacrifice would be to your walk with God because you would always have to return, which is why this sermon came to my mind while reading this chapter.

    The people of Israel were instructed on what to do once they reached the land promised to them. They were to sacrifice their first harvest unto God. However, we shouldn’t forget that all throughout their journey, they still sacrificed unto God. Although they sacrificed during the journey, another sacrifice was still required once they reached their destination. This goes to show that there should never be a time where we cease to give sacrifice unto God.

    Deut. 26: 18-19 says that God promised to make the Israelites His peculiar people and that He would place them high above all others so they could be His holy people BUT they still had to sacrifice. The way we sacrifice may change overtime, but we should always offer a sacrifice unto Him.

    I thank God for His sacrifice that paid it all so that we could be free. I pray we don’t forget about our sacrifice, no matter what season we are in, no matter where our walk with God may take us, Don’t forget about your sacrifice.

  62. “Today the LORD has declared that you are His people, His treasured possession, just as He promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments; and that He will set you high above all the nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor: and that you shall be a holy people [set apart and consecrated] to the LORD your God, just as He has spoken.””
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:18-19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    As long as we do what we said we would do god he will always fulfill his promises. Just as much as god values us we should value him enough to keep his commandments. Man may fail us but god will never.

    “God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23:19‬ ‭GNT‬‬

  63. and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O Lord , have given me.’ “Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God. So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.
    Deuteronomy 26:10‭-‬11 NKJV
    https://bible.com/bible/114/deu.26.10-11.NKJV

    Giving our offering should be a time of worship. A time of rejoicing for every good thing the Lord has given to us. God wants this to be a time of rejoicing. Is he worth it? Is he worth our worship in giving? Questions we ought to ask ourselves. What is out attitude when we give our offering? We must always keep in mind that it is a time for worship.

  64. The third year was a special tithing year.

    “When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    “Every third year, the year of the tithe, give a tenth of your produce to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow so that they may eat their fill in your cities. And then, in the Presence of GOD, your God, say this:
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭26:12 MSG‬‬

    This special thin thing year is to help the widows, fatherless, and the new people. This helps those who can’t help themselves to become established. As CB we give to those who need us God is able to meet their needs I a unique way while drawing them closer to him and closer in relationship with so so that we can continue to be his hands and feet as he used us to be a blessing.

  65. 16 This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

    Sometimes we need to be instructed regarding the law of God; sometimes we need to be reminded regarding the law of God. But most often, we need to be exhorted regarding the law of God. We know what to do, but we need to be encouraged to actually do it.
