Joshua 12

Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:

And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

Them did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.

And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;

10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

11 The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

12 The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

13 The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

14 The king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;

15 The king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;

16 The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;

17 The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;

18 The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;

19 The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;

20 The king of Shimronmeron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

21 The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

22 The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;

23 The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;

24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

  1. 1 Now, these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote,

    24 all the kings thirty and one.

    They all came down one at a time.
    They all come down one at a time.
    One trial at a time.
    One problem at a time.
    One battle at a time.
    They all come down.

  2. This chapter names all of the kings of the lands that were defeated by Israel. Israel took each of these lands as God had given them to them. We too can take this city that God is giving us.

    Proverbs 10:25 MSG says “When the storm is over, there’s nothing left of the wicked; good people, firm on their rock foundation, aren’t even fazed.” Same verse AMP “When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, But the righteous has an everlasting foundation.” Same verse CEV “Those crooks will disappear when a storm strikes, but God will keep safe all who obey him.”

    Proverbs 10:28 MSG “The aspirations of good people end in celebration; the ambitions of bad people crash.” Same verse AMP “The hope of the righteous [those of honorable character and integrity] is joy, But the expectation of the wicked [those who oppose God and ignore His wisdom] comes to nothing.” Same verse CEV “If you obey the Lord, you will be happy, but there is no future for the wicked.”

    Proverbs 30 MSG “Good people last—they can’t be moved; the wicked are here today, gone tomorrow.” Same verse AMP “The [consistently] righteous will never be shaken, But the wicked will not inhabit the earth.” Same verse CEV “Good people will stand firm, but the wicked will lose their land.”

  3. Joshua 12:1 [Amp] Now these are the kings of land whom the Israelites defeated and whose land they took possession of east of the Jordan , from the river Amon to Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah eastward.
    Count your blessings from the north , the south the east and the west .
    Give God the Praise and Glory!

  4. 7. And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    8. In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

    Whether you’re on a mountain or in the valley; on the grassy plains, or standing knee-deep in a spring; out in the wilderness, or way down South…God is still God and He will help you fight your battles.

    For the God on the mountain
    Is still God in the valley.
    When things go wrong
    He’ll make them right.
    And the God of the good times
    Is still God in the bad times.
    The God of the day
    Is still God in the night.

  5. It doesn’t matter for Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He will reign forever. He is truth so every evil will flee at the mention of His name. Israel was triumphant over all the 31 kings because they serve the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD. If you want VICTORY in your life forever you can not fear, you must walk in His Truth, and step in faith for He will never leave us nor forsakes us. NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CAN HARM US AS LONG AS JESUS IS WITH US!

  6. 1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    We serve the King of kings and as long as we are in line with Him, we will be delivered the victory! Thank You Jesus!

  7. Jos 12:1  Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    All these Kings that led all these people and everyone of them was defeated. I’m glad to say we serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords that will never be defeated.

  8. There should be no doubt in our minds that if God can bring the Israelites through this, what will He do for us? My God has made me MORE than a conquerer!!

  9. 23 The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;
    24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    Jesus : 31 other kings:0 Jesus has a TKO record and is undefeated reigning champ of any thing that has come against Him or his people. Reminds me of the song POFW sings Breakthrough… my light and salvation, the undefeated one. There’s no God like Jehovah! no matter what happens as long as we are standing with God we are in the hands of an undefeated God. A God that’s never even been seriously challenged. All the more reason why when we feel like we’re being attacked we should remember that we are in His hands still.

  10. Joshua 12
    all the kings thirty and one.

    Every king is mentioned that was destroyed. Every battle was won. The enemy had been defeated.
    As I look back over the battles in my own life this chapter makes me want to sit down and ponder and write down the events of the battles I’ve been through . The record of the battles fought had gir to have shown Israel how faithful God has been. They had no idea how they would possess the promised land, the city of Jericho and all the other terrorizing armies they confronted . Yet 31 Kings
    I looked up the meaning of 31 here is what was said

    The number 31 symbolizes work, effort, capacity for improvement, struggle. I also read it is attributed to the end of a cycle . Victory courage and completion .
    The battle dies not belong to us . Fear ,anxiety try to take control because of the circumstances around us. The unknown is the most unwanted in a persons life.
    Yet God continues to say be courages and be bold. He continues to say fear not. Each battle has its own struggles . Yet we have a God that says fear not! 31 Kings not just 1 but 31. Not just the enemy destroyed but the kings of the enemy.

    Again a song comes to mind. We have a lot of kingdoms set up sometime set within our own hearts that we must destroy.
    No matter what the battle is we must know that there can be victory!

    The Lord Of All (Lanny Wolfe)

    Chorus: Jesus be the Lord of all, Jesus be the Lord of all

    Jesus be the Lord the kingdoms of my heart

    1. In my heart are kingdoms of a world that’s all my own

    Kingdoms that are only seen by muself and God alone

    In the past when I tried to ruler my world

    It just seemed to fall apart

    So Jesus be the Lord of all the kingdoms of my heart

    Repeat Chorus

    2. I guess I only fooled myself for I said I’d yielded all

    But in a secret corner of my heart was a kingdom that did not fall

    I surrender now, make my heart Your throne

    Lord rule its kingdoms, great and small

    For if You’re not Lord of everything then You’re not Lord at all

    Deuteronomy 20: 3 – 4
    And he shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

  11. iLove Jesus
    4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

    40 years earlier, the children of Israel were too afraid to enter into the promise land because of King Og and the rest of his crew. Now Joshua comes on the scene and boom, they conquer the entire land. How did they do it? Can you imagine facing a giant as large as that rascal? God showed the children of Israel that he would fight the battle for them if they would only exercise faith.

    No matter what Giant we are facing in life, Jesus will come through if we will believe in the miraculous.

  12. With all these kings conquered, there is no doubt that the land belongs to Israel.
    Israel could forever remember the great things God had done for them.
    Sometimes in our live in the course of our human experiences, it is good to sit down and reflect on what has been conquered by the grace of God in our lives. To always remember where He brought us from and the conditions we were in. It is good to remember so we may never forget how GREAT OUR GOD IS!!! And how great is His mercy.

  13. Joshua 12:1 & 6-7
    1) NOW these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    6) Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.
    7) And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribe of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    Just as the LORD was with Moses and the children of Israel, and HE was with Joshua and the children of Israel to defeat their enemies and take possession of their lands, God is with us, POFW, and He will help us to defeat the enemy and take possession of the city of Fort Worth for HIS KINGDOM.

  14. 8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

    “ I’ve walked among the shadows
    You wiped my tears away
    And I’ve felt the pain of heartbreak
    And I’ve seen the brighter days
    And I’ve prayed prayers to heaven from my lowestplace
    And I have held the blessings
    God, you give and take away

    No matter what I have, Your grace is enough
    No matter where I am, I’m standing in Your love

    On the mountains, I will bow my life
    To the one who set me there
    In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there
    When I’m standing on the mountain aft, didn’t get there on my own
    When I’m walking through the valley end, no I am not alone!
    You’re God of the hills and valleys!
    Hills and Valleys!
    God of the hills and valleys
    And I am not alone!

    I’ve watched my dreams get broken
    In you I hope again!
    No matter what I know
    Know I’m safe inside Your hand

    On the mountains, I will bow my life
    To the one who set me there
    In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the one who sees me there
    When I’m standing on the mountain aft, didn’t get there on my own
    When I’m walking through the valley end, no I am not alone!
    You’re God of the hills and valleys!
    Hills and Valleys!
    God of the hills and valleys
    And I am not alone!

    Father, you give and take away
    Every joy and every pain
    Through it all you will remain
    Over it all!” – Hills and Valleys, Tauren Wells

  15. 1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    This chapter listed all the kings and kingdoms that the children of Israel had defeated with the covering of God. It doesn’t matter how vast the kingdom was or even how great the king was in social standing or physically statures, they all fell one by one. Reading this chapter takes my mind to the ole song “there is something about that name”

    Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; there’s just something about that name.
    Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain;
    Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all Heaven and earth proclaim
    Kings and kingdoms will all pass away,
    But there’s something about that name.
    Kings and kingdoms will all pass away,
    But there’s something about that name.

    It lines up with this chapter very well. Kings and kingdoms will all pass away but there is something about that name.

    Remember all that we do for God and the kingdom of God does not go unnoticed, because it is God that will reward your faithfulness through the trials and tribulations. Live Jesus to give Jesus.

    1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    Celebrating VICTORIES is a Kingdom privilege. We witness the obedience and leadership of Joshua on display. Joshua was obedient to the commands of the Lord, but he also had to fight and win the battles.

    We are The Kingdom of GOD but we still must GO Up and Fight to seize the land. Notice the mention of the is the king. The one in authority or control that was defeated. We spend too much time on frivolous battles when we should target the king. We are well able to win the battle when we enthrone JESUS through our Praise. Lets GO UP!

    What kingdoms of this world do you need to conquer today? Turn on some Praise Music and GO UP and conquer that we may celebrate together the 31 VICTORIES and identify their kings.

  17. 12:7 and these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote…….

    Is THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD?
    1,2,3…. how many victories? ( overs these kings?)
    Let us know that the king of kings is with us just like it was with Joshua.

    God is good!!!
    We win!!!!
    In Jesus name.

  18. God was good to Israel, in giving them victory over all these kings, and possession of all these kingdoms, and what obligations he here by laid upon them to observe his statutes and to keep his laws.

    Psalm 105:44,45. And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; That they might observe his statues, and keep his laws. Praisr ye the Lord.

  19. “The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    This speaks to how powerful God is. The children of Israel were slaves In Egypt but God took them out of bondage and made them victorious. No matter where you are in your test, it may seem like the fight is over but remember the fight is fixed. We win! We serve a victorious God who has filled us with His power and authority.

    “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    I thank God for His promises. I pray we remain strong in Him and use our praise as our weapon. I pray we go forth and have victory!

  20. Nobody ever said living for God is an easy life. There are benefits, but there also things that we must overcome on a daily basis. Just like the Israelites to obtain their promise, they had to possess the land, and then had to continue to pursue and overtake other areas once inside the land to expand their influence.

    Being born into the Kingdom is just the start, we have not arrived. There will be things that we must overcome in order to continue in our walk with God. They are not given to us to overtake us but for us to persevere and overtake and be victorious over them.

    This old song came to mind today:

    If you’re in the battle for the Lord and right,
    Keep on the firing line;
    If you win, my brother, surely you must fight,
    Keep on the firing line;
    There are many dangers that we all must face,
    If we die still fighting it is no disgrace;
    Cowards in the service will not find a place,
    So keep on the firing line.

    Oh, you must fight, be brave against all evil,
    Never run, nor even lag behind;
    If you would win for God and the right,
    Just keep on the firing line.
    God will only use the soldier He can trust,
    Keep on the firing line;

    If you’ll wear a crown then bear the cross you must,
    Keep on the firing line.
    Life is but to labor for the Master dear,
    Help to banish evil and to spread good cheer;
    Great you’ll be rewarded for your service here,
    So keep on the firing line.

    When we get to heaven, brother, we’ll be glad,
    Keep on the firing line;
    How we’ll praise the Savior for the call we had,
    Keep on the firing line;
    When we see the souls that we have helped to win,
    Leading them to Jesus, from the paths of sin,
    With a shout of welcome, we will all march in,
    So keep on the firing line.

  21. 24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    The conquering of so many cities and places, within so short a space of time, and with so little loss, showed that the Israelites were marvellously protected and assisted, and was an evidence to them, as it is to us all, of the truth of all God’s promises; and that they will certainly be accomplished with God’s help only. All we have to do is listen to the voice of the Lord. Everything is possible with God.

  22. When God is for us, who can stand against? Each victory over their enemies brought deeper and deeper confidence in God. When they eventually faced the giants, they already knew God was well able! So, we must count our victories, our blessings and when we face a great problem or giant, we can remember our God is able to deliver us and will help us as we battle. Praise him in advance for the victory and then watch God make a way. Even in the valley of the shadow of death, he prepares a table (a barrier, a place of provision) before us, his rod and staff comfort us (these are on both sides of us)…all this in the presence of our enemy! I will fear no evil when I am so well protected by the Lord, He will make a way! I’ve got the victory through Jesus!

  23. 24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    All these victories did not come out of luck or Coincidence. They were the Direct result of God’s promise through obedience.

    We too can count on this principle. If we adhere to Gods word, He will fight our battles. Why is that good? God has never lost! And He is faithful!

  24. 8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

    9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;

    10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

    11 The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

    *Estas descripciones son importantes también porque nos ponen en claro que estas cosas ocurrieron en tiempo real, y espacio real. Estas no son cuentos de hadas que comienzan con “erase una vez,” esta historia que comienza con lugares específicos y gente y gobernantes.

    * De igual modo, era una manera en que Israel podría recordar para siempre las grandes cosas que Dios había hecho por ellos.

    * “ Esto nos ayuda a pensar que es bueno ,y debemos también nosotros sentarnos a meditar y reflexionar en lo que hemos conquistado por la gracia de Dios.”

  26. 7And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions; 8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:
    9 The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;
    10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
    11 The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
    12 The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

    17 The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;
    18 The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;
    19 The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;
    20 The king of Shimronmeron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
    21 The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
    22 The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;
    23 The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;
    24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    I feel as though every one of us as believers is Israel taking the Promised Land. Many times to us life can seem so ordinary. Important as they are but we become wrapped up in the details of our own lives. Months can pass and years but we’ve become unaware of the fact that we are actually…. day by day, taking the Promised Land. Think about it! We are drawing closer and closer to the day when it will be ours. But sometimes we forget of all those certain thing the Lord did for us, those people He brought into our lives, the many encounters we had with God, the way we were able to serve Him in this way or that, that piece of obedience, that act of repentance, the many sacrifices of love. But here we are reminded and we see a list of names, not just names but victories for Joshua and the people of Israel, reminders of all that God has done for them. And just like God did for Joshua He will do for us. I pray that we remember the countless lists of victories, (names), triumphs that the Lord has given to us. May we remain patient and strong in the Lord so that one day we can obtain the land and the promises He has made us.

  27. With all these kings conquered – with every one of these “principalities and powers” over the land defeated – there is no doubt that the land belongs to Israel, but the individual tribes still have much to possess for their own. Even though I know I have won some battles for my family I know that my children and grandchildren will have to fight and win their own battles. However these battles are to make us stronger, bolder, and victorious. Yes trials are hard but God is Faithful. There is nothing that He can’t do and no matter the problem Jesus is always the answer to our solution. Thank you Jesus!!! I am truly blessed!!!

  28. Joshua 12:24
    The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    God promised Moses, Joshua and all of Israel that they would acquire the promised land. It is remarkable to think that 31 kings went against the Israelite’s and how they won these battles WITH THE HELP OF OUR LORD. It appeared so easily for them to triumph over these territories. We can be triumph of winning our battles as long as we are obedient to God and keep working for Him.

  29. 7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    There is no position in this world that is above God’s vengeance. Joshua was able to take out these kings and kingdoms because he followed the authority God had in place. It’s important to remember to follow what God has already set in place. We cannot ignore what God wants to do and must focus on where God is leading us.

  30. ‘The king of Tirzah. In all, thirty-one kings were defeated.’
    Joshua 12:24

    We are blessed to serve the KING of all kings who is undefeated!

    Deuteronomy 10:17 “For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:”

  31. 7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    23 The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;

    24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    God will always be in every single place every where in this world God is there. God is the only one in this world the ruler! God is in every little single situation and will help you no matter what. The only true King

  32. In chapter 12, Joshua lists all of the kings that the Israelites had conquered, along with all of the territories that were east of the Jordan that they had taken over, which included the Arnon Gorge area to Mount Hermon, as well as the entire eastern region of the Arabah.

  33. “Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Sometimes it’s good to have a praise report to look back on the victory’s of the Lord. A time to pause and reflect in the greatness of the Lord. We can take courage knowing what God has done and that He’ll do it again.

  34. Joshua 12

    MOSES’ CONQUESTS

    JOSHUA’S CONQUESTS

    The credit of conquests goes to the leaders for God.

    Hallelujah!!

    Praise God’s Holy ways!!!

  35. 7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:

    In the mountains, and in the valleys, in the plains, and in the springs, and win the wilderness…and even when you have gone south, God is still able to bring forth victory. There is not one are or territory that the Lord did not grant them victory except when there was sin in the camp.

    No matter where you may be in life, on the zenith of your mountain top, or in the lowest of your valleys, he is still the Lord of Hosts, and the God of your victory. He covers every area of your life. He is our champion, He is Jesus my victory.

    Pslams 139:8-12
    8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
    If I make my bed in [c]hell, behold, You are there.
    9 If I take the wings of the morning,
    And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
    10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
    And Your right hand shall hold me.
    11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall [d]fall on me,”
    Even the night shall be light about me;
    12 Indeed, the darkness [e]shall not hide from You,
    But the night shines as the day;
    The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

  36. 7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

  37. 1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    There’s is no one in any shape or form that can defeat our God! All of our battles are won. Praise God! We are reminded in this chapter of the great power of God. How Israel defeated all these kings and conquered their land. There is no big or small battle that can overcome us, with God by our side the battle is already declared victorious!

  38. King of the land
    KING Jesus of all

    Joshua 12:1 KJV
    [1] Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    2 Peter 1:11 KJV
    [11] For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

    Revelation 1:4-6 KJV
    [4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; [5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

  39. The list of the whipped

    1 Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:

    This list is long of those that Joshua came in and just totally whipped. In the list is Og, a 15’ tall king of the Giants, Goliaths big brother. David gets credit for slaying the giant but Og was actually like 4’ or more taller than Goliath. Joshua has no reservations handing the defeat to any that stood in the way because he knew for sure that God was fighting for him. Now what we do to defeat the giants in our lives in go in without question, having all faith in the miraculous God that we serve. Giants are going to fall when we exercise real faith.

  40. “Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the Israelites had destroyed the people of King Sihon and King Og. And Moses gave their land as a possession to the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    This Scripture means that, If we obey God and his commandments, He will bless us.

  41. “These are the kings east of the Jordan River who had been killed by the Israelites and whose land was taken. Their territory extended from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon and included all the land east of the Jordan Valley.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    “The king of Tirzah. In all, thirty-one kings were defeated.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    In this journey that Joshua and the Israelites face are battle against the enemies

    ‬‬ Wow! how great is our God hallelujah, He lead Joshua and the Israelites to a Great victory Amen! 31 battle that Israel and Joshua had face. Though it may had seemed impossible for Israel to win all the battle but through God all things were possible He broke the thoughts of doubt and He did the impossible He lead Israel to great victory. We are the children of God and we are going to face great threats and face enemies that seem like they have us were they want us But Jesus says call in his name for there is victory in that name which is above all things from heaven to earth, that name of Jesus which destroys the yokes,the chain of sin, and that name of Jesus set us free so all we need to do is call that name of Jesus and we have already won the fight so shall not fear the enemies that come in our ways for we trust in Jesus Christ and He will deliver us to victory just like He deliver Joshua and the Israelites to victory in those 31 battle they had fought. We believe it in Jesus name!

  42. 6 Them did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.

    Here two times it is reiterated that Mpses is the servant of the LORD and a reminder of how we can serve GOD and miss the point!!!

  43. In this Chapter we find a list of victories! Each man is a record of the faithfulness, goodness, and power of God! Each time its read its like reading the testimony of one life. God brought us all to and through many victories I wonder when was the last time we sat and made a list of the victories and when life seemed unbearable read through them? This would be a cool exercise for all of us to do. It would not only build our faith but also give us the opportunity to build the faith of others.

    The King of depression, one
    The King of Anger, one

    Think about it every time you have overcome a battle with the help of a friend, the church, or just you and Jesus it was like taking territory for your promised land. so, how would your chapter read?

  44. 6 Them did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.

    7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    8 In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites

    It just goes to show….
    Oh Lord, the kings, the things we let rule in our lives. In our obedience Lord we are able to have victory. The cities, the countries we would be able to conquer if we are obedient in you. Every where we go we, through all of our trials, our madness, our chaos, when we are at our highest, and living in the joy and happiness, causes us to cry out your praises. If we we stay obedient to the one true King, oh Lord it just goes to show….

  45. In this chapter Joshua have land to the tribes of Israel as a possession. In this chapter what came to my mind was, that we have to give to others in need.

  46. 4 And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

    Sometimes we begin to conquer our giants and we stop short of our overcoming them. All too often we fail to see the importance of finishing the fight to walk in total victory over our hindrances. We become content with our small victories. Yes we should fight for the small victories, but we must remember that until we hear “we’ll done, “ we are not finished fighting.

  47. 10 The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one; . . . . . 24 The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.

    At first I was confused as to why we were naming kings and counting them one by one. I had to start over and read through the chapter again.

    7 And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

    These are the kings of the country that Joshua and the children of Israel smote. The kings and their cities. Our God is greater, Our God is stronger, God you are higher than any other!! If God can be against us, who can be against us!! When God takes out 31 kings and their cities/territories and yet we turn around and wonder if he can take care of our one little problem?? WHERE IS OUR FAITH??

  48. 1These are the kings east of the Jordan River who had been killed by the Israelites and whose land was taken. Their territory extended from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon and included all the land east of the Jordan Valley.

    This should show everyone, no matter how many or how big your enemy looks, you have Victory with God on your side. Don’t let fear settle in, or it will bring doubt.

  49. “Them did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭12:6‬ ‭KJV

    It doesn’t matter what opposition you face, God is the same yesterday, today and forever so he will always be there to fight your battles and place the victory in your hands you just have to be a willing servant.
