1 Samuel 2

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord‘s, and he hath set the world upon them.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the Lord before Eli the priest.

12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.

13 And the priest’s custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;

14 And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.

15 Also before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

16 And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.

17 Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.

18 But Samuel ministered before the Lord, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

20 And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the Lord. And they went unto their own home.

21 And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.

22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.

24 Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord‘s people to transgress.

25 If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the Lordwould slay them.

26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord, and also with men.

27 And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?

28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

31 Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

32 And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

33 And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.

34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

36 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

  1. 29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

We need to stand boldly, sure-footed upon the Word of God. His word shall not void and everything he promises will come to pass even if we can’t believe it!! Just in the last week with all of events that are going on in the world.. people are too worried they are going to go without toilet paper instead of realizing that it is time for the church to be the church that God intended it to be.

  2. 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

So many people today search for true happiness in so many worldly thing and never find it, but if we seek more after god and study his word instead of seeking after the things of this world we will find that true joy and happiness comes from the lord because he is love and he is our salvation. No matter the how rough the storm my rage we know that we can rejoice through it because we have a rock to anchor us and that is the lord.

  3. Praise the LORD for he is Good he is our rock and there’s no one like him. Let us not be prideful and let us honor him. Jesus raises up and he lowers down , we should be humble ALL the time.

  4. Verses 2-10 MSG “Nothing and no one is holy like God, no rock mountain like our God. Don’t dare talk pretentiously—not a word of boasting, ever! For God knows what’s going on. He takes the measure of everything that happens. The weapons of the strong are smashed to pieces, while the weak are infused with fresh strength. The well-fed are out begging in the streets for crusts, while the hungry are getting second helpings. The barren woman has a houseful of children, while the mother of many is bereft. God brings death and God brings life, brings down to the grave and raises up. God brings poverty and God brings wealth; he lowers, he also lifts up.
He puts poor people on their feet again; he rekindles burned-out lives with fresh hope, Restoring dignity and respect to their lives—a place in the sun! For the very structures of earth are God’s; he has laid out his operations on a firm foundation.
He protectively cares for his faithful friends, step by step, but leaves the wicked to stumble in the dark. No one makes it in this life by sheer muscle! God’s enemies will be blasted out of the sky, crashed in a heap and burned. God will set things right all over the earth, he’ll give strength to his king, he’ll set his anointed on top of the world!” Hannah’s prayer reminded me of this song “There’s No God Like Our God”:

There’s no god like our God,
    No king like our King
    No lord like our Lord,
    who rules everything

There’s no hope like our Hope,
    No way like our Way
    No grace like our Grace
    made new every day

There’s no god like our Gpd
There’s no god like our God
    Creator and King,
    He rules everything
There’s no god like our God

There’s no rock like our Rock,
    no stone like our Stone
He continues to rule as the
    ages roll on

There’s no life like our Life,
    no song like our Song
    Let all of creation
    sing it loud and strong

There’s no joy like our Joy
There’s no peace like our Peace
There’s no love like our Love
    Like our God

There’s no king like our King,
    Jesus our King
There’s no name like His Name
    Every tongue shall proclaim
    Jesus our God

  5. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    PRAISE THE LORD

1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

From this particular verse, I am empowered to lift my voice like a HORN in the LORD. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies. GOD gives us the power and authority through PRAISE to overpower, overtake, overshout and overcome our enemies.

When we PRAISE through rejoicing in the salvation of the LORD we lift the Name of JESUS on high through which we are saved. Placing, elevating JESUS above all that is and has to do with the name of JESUS.

In times of trouble, trial or triumph we are positioned for VICTORY when we PRAISE the LORD JESUS with a loud voice.

    iRepent
    iPraise

  6. I want people to see Christ in me , they should see light in me , as a leader … A great influence of Christ around the community an impact good enough to increase the kingdom of God . Just Jesus and his ways – the great lion of Judah Jehovah jireh . Doesn’t matter where I work doesn’t matter what I drive , doesn’t matter where I live , doesn’t matter my income or career

    Thank you saviour Jesus

Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the Lord ! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me. No one is holy like the Lord ! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.
    1 Samuel 2:1‭-‬2

  7. 7. The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

    8. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them.

    9. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

    30. Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

God is in control; the true King. We may think people are getting away with what they are doing, but God sees all, knows all, and will not be mocked.

    Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

  8. 1Samuel 2:1 [ amp ] Hannah Prayed, and said, My heart exults and triumphs in the Lord; my horn
( my strength) is lifted up in the Lord, My mouth is no longer silent, for it is opened wide over my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.
Wow what a powerful prayer that Hannah prayed , Look what the Lord did for her! He will do for you tell what you want. Speak , Sound out Jesus, and be Jesus. When Pofw gathers in Prayer the walls come down and chains are coming off .
God is good all the time , Rejoice he is our strength.

  9. 9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

What a proper scripture of what many are dealing with right this moment. We find Hannah give God all the praise she can because of the blessing of Samuel. It is encouraging with the word of God that no matter how we look at any situation or circumstance, God sees it differently than we do. He doesn’t see as
Man sees, He does see from heavens point of view. We have to be willing to humble ourselves with boasting arrogance before God.

Verse 9 states he will keep the feet of his saints. There shall nothing that will come against you that will prosper because of the covering of the Holy Ghost and the hand of God. We have to fully trust and be fully persuaded to the kingdom of God. It’s in times like these that we must believe that God is and that he is a rewarded of them that diligently seek him. We have to rise above the chaos and live Jesus to be able to give Jesus.

  10. 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

You can almost feel do euphoria in Hannah’s voice as she rejoices in the Lord has he answers our prayers and takes care of her needs. The excitement of praying for so long and having her prayer answered. This is what we are made to do. We are made to give glory to God and rejoice in the Lord has he opens our eyes rise to his will. One of the biggest issues I’ve seen in church and it becomes like a rotting decay, is complacency. Forgetting the struggles that you went through or becoming so content with what you have you forget to reach for more. as we seek God we must continue to give worship and honor and praise unto our God.

  11. iLove Jesus
29 Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Folks might do stuff in secret, but it will come out in the open. God knows all things and darkness is as the light in his eyes. Judgement is promised here in these scriptures. We must love God and not allow anyone to disrespect God and the temple.

    • How do you know what to allow and not to allow brother. We are the only ones that can do that to ourselves ? No one else can oppress your dignity and value

  12. It is no small thing when we bring an offering unto the Lord. So many of us get into the routine of what it is at church and so it becomes common. But bringing a sacrifice unto the Lord is presenting yourself and honoring God. It should never be taken lightly.

  13. 5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord‘s, and he hath set the world upon them.

  14. 6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

This is a word of encouragement for us today, in the current situation in our world, everything is on lockdown, people are being laid off, we must never forget that it He is the Lord and He provides.

Now more than ever we need to turn our heart unto Him, give Him our best.

  15. 2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

God blessed Hannah and turned her situation around and her words here are her words of victory and wisdom. With God we are the head, not the tail and we victorious through him despite our current trials. Hannah was blessed with more children and triumphed through God over her antagonist. Samuel was steadfast in his service to the Lord despite the example of Eli’s sons. We can pray a hedge around our children to protect them the ways of this world as we example the right way before them.

  16. I Samuel 2
    2 “There is no one holy like the Lord;
    there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.

Oh Lord truly in You we can put our trust

9 He will guard the feet of his faithful servants,
but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.
    “It is not by strength that one prevails;

In our most weakest moments God rises higher He is Strength in weakness . He is exalted when we are humbled . Oh God I lift You up without You I am nothing . You are faithful.

Sacrifice brings Blessings there truly is nothing more than that……

Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “May the Lord give you children by this woman to take the place of the one she prayed for and gave to[c] the Lord.” Then they would go home. 21 And the Lord was gracious to Hannah; she gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew up in the presence of the Lord.

    God is faithful!

  17. 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

I just put a little piece but oh how beautiful is Hannah’s faith and description of our Strong and Mighty God!!! To know He has our back through it all!!! Yes, even through this corona virus HE STILL IN CONTROL!!! HE IS GOD ALL MIGHTY!!! We should boast about Who He Is and what He Does!!! For He is Mighty, Miracle worker!!!! He is my God Jesus Christ my SAVIOR!!!

  18. “My heart rejoices in the LORD! The LORD has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.

When you see your blessing, your healing, your miracle rejoice in the Lord! You have defeated the enemy who was trying to overcome you. Keep your faith and remain strong, for God will rescue you.

  19. He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone.
    1 Samuel 2:9 NLT

If we are faithful, seems like we have nothing to worry about! It’s not by our own power that we’ll ever succeed, it’ll be by His Spirit for His Glory and namesake.

  20. “GOD brings death and GOD brings life, brings down to the grave and raises up. GOD brings poverty and GOD brings wealth; he lowers, he also lifts up. He puts poor people on their feet again; he rekindles burned-out lives with fresh hope, Restoring dignity and respect to their lives— a place in the sun! GOD will set things right all over the earth, he’ll give strength to his king, he’ll set his anointed on top of the world!”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:6-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/97/1sa.2.6-10.msg
If you think of all the bad things in life then this should be easy to see that God also brings the good. Don’t worry about anything. He’s my provider, my protector and he will always pull through.

  21. “Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me. No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

She could not rejoice in leaving her son, but she could rejoice in the LORD. In the most desperate situations, when we have nothing else to rejoice in, we can rejoice in the LORD.

  22. There is no one holy like the Lord , There is no one besides You, There is no Rock like our God.
    1 Samuel 2:2 AMP
When being joyful , sad, sick, anxious, and scared. Don’t ever lose your song💕💕💕

  23. “Now Samuel was ministering before the LORD, as a child dressed in a linen ephod [a sacred item of priestly clothing]. Moreover, his mother would make him a little robe and would bring it up to him each year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:18-19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There’s nothing like a mother’s love. And her provision. And the church is likened into a mother there’s nothing like the love of the church and the provision that it brings to our lives. With all that’s going on in the world today it’s keeping us from the church building but the church body will strengthen and show it’s love and provision for the people and to chaos around us.

  24. 1 Samuel 2:18-21

    * “Y el joven Samuel”

  25. 1 Samuel 2:1, “AND Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD, my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.”

“My Mouth Is Enlarged Over Mine Enemies”
Our enemy has a Big Mouth, but when we begin to PRAY and REJOICE in the Lord and in His Salvation, and we begin to PRAISE and WORSHIP the LORD, our mouth will become enlarged (Wider and Bigger) than our enemies. We can SHOUT for the VICTORY, YEEEESSSS! HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU JESUS!!

SHOUT with a voice of Triumph
SHOUT with a voice of Praise
SHOUT with a voice of Triumph
SHOUT with a voice of Praise
SHOUT unto God for the VICTORY
    Hey, Hey
Give the Lord a SHOUT of Praise

  26. 26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the Lord, and also with men.

God can give you favor with man. When we follow the plan God has set before us, he will reward us. Don’t worry about the naysayers that come in your life. If God be for us, he’s more than the whole world against us.

  27. Hannah was blessed by the Lord and gave birth to three sons and two daughters. Samson loved the Lord and had favor in God’s eyes. Being faithful as Hannah was to the Lord, she had been blessed as we are also blessed by honoring our savior Jesus Christ. Now is the time for us to be strong and support our church in anyway possible. Times are tough but this is when we all must put our faith in our Lord.

  28. 9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

If we are faithful to the Lord we don’t need to be worrying, because the Lord is always protecting us. His love and his spirit and glory are with us every day helping us accomplish amazing things.

  29. 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

    Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Hannah prayed God answers and Hannah worships Him. Let us learn from this great women of God to rejoice in God. He is our rock He is all we need. We must rejoice not only when He answers our prayers but in all things rejoice.

  30. 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. 2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Hannah kept her faith up and continued to go to the place of worship, knowing how painful it would be and choosing to worship anyway, pouring out her tears and requests to the Lord. And when God finally answered her prayer she not only kept her promise, but exploded with praise. Hannah is a beautiful example of a woman of God.

  31. “No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.”(‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

There’s no other gods that are worthy to be called holy and are worthy of praise and worship but only the Lord. There will never be another Rock that can take the Lords place. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”‭‭(John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭KJV‬)

  32. 12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.

Position is nothing without relationship. Yes they were of the chosen people and were of the right lineage, but they knew not the Lord. They exercised their role by position but did not have any fear for God. Did not obey the commands now sought the Lord. They were not intimate with God. It doesn’t matter you are related to, or how you got to a place of position. What matters is does the Lord know you? Has he seen you, has he heard your prayers? In the end, salvation is personal, and God will look at each person and their deeds as an individual.

  33. A selfish generation

17 Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.

People are too busy to serve God. They are consumed with the ways of the world and they don’t have time for God. I have seen this play out over and over again. Selfishness is the opposite of God. He gave everything on the cross.

  34. No body is like God or can be like God. Throughout the Bible people try to find a substitute or another God but all they found ways idols, people, and false gods. There is nobody who can take Gods place.

  35. “There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:2, 34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here we are shown two very different accounts at God’s house. On one hand Hannah is rejoicing after having trusted and submitted to the Lord. On the other hand, Eli’s sons, who had no respect for Hod or His people, decided to disrespect the office they held. In the end, God blesses Hannah, blessing her with more children after Samuel. Eli’s sons were given a prophecy of death.

When we sin, yet know better (being carnal) it will always lead to death, whether naturally or spiritually. Like we learned in tonight’s bible study, sin is only pleasurable for a season and will always lead to destruction. I thank God for being my friend and equipping each of us with a two-edged sword (His Word). I pray we continue to study His word and hide it in our hearts, ensuring we have a firm foundation in Him.

  36. “In the midst of all this, Samuel, a boy dressed in a priestly linen tunic, served GOD. Additionally, every year his mother would make him a little robe cut to his size and bring it to him when she and her husband came for the annual sacrifice. Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, saying, “ GOD give you children to replace this child you have dedicated to GOD.” Then they would go home.

GOD was most especially kind to Hannah. She had three more sons and two daughters! The boy Samuel stayed at the sanctuary and grew up with GOD.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:18-21‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Age doesn’t matter to God. He looks at the heart of a person and judges. Samuel did not take from God. He honored God with his actions and dress. He was set apart in a place of wickedness. This is no different from our callings today.

  37. I Samuel 2:12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord.
As a priest, Eli mentioned Samuel; however, Eli’s failure to lead his family eventually led to his downfall as a leader.
The scripture teaches that if we do not faithfully lead our own household, we lack the qualifications to lead beyond the home, in other words, if it doesn’t work at home, don’t export it.

    Family First
Eli thought his sons would “get it” just because they lived in the house of the lord.

  38. “And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hannah showed a depth of commitment and love for God that may humble us. On the day she made the biggest sacrifice of her life she rejoices in the LORD.

  39. 6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
We must remember that it is He who give us life and that’s why we must praise Him in the morning and in the noontime. Praise Him all the time.

  40. 2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

He is a great and mighty God!! My favorite part, “. . . by him actions are weighed.”

  41. Rejoice; The LORD is a God of knowledge and nothing can stop God because HE will take it by force.
    In; Jesus I am alive

    1 Samuel 2:1 KJV
[1] And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord , mine horn is exalted in the Lord : my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

1 Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the Lord : for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
