Psalm 27

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

  1. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

We don’t have to worry about our enemies coming against us if we believe in God and follow his word

  2. “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.

No matter what your going through god will stay by your side

  3. Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord .
    Psalms 27:14 KJV
Waiting, waiting, waiting… it seems that we all have been doing this lately. But it’s the beauty of it all. Take the time and advantage of how the LORD is molding you in His hands. You may not understand now, Just Let go of your trials, and give Him full control. He takes care of His own. Walk by faith and not by sight. Give Him your burdens. He will come through. His timing is always perfect!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
    Isaiah 40:31 KJV

  4. 4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

The very place that we can go and find refuge. When we can step to the place where we can find the glory of God. Even now that we can not gather in the house of the Lord as a congregation, we can allow ourselves a place where God can reside in us. We are the church and our bodies the temple of the Lord. If we have a desire to be in the presence of God, we should not fear anything or anyone. We have to decide whether we are going to live for God or live for the world. That desire to seek after the Lord has to be the first and most important priority in our lives. That is the only way that we will truly live Jesus to be able give Jesus

  5. Verses 1-2 AMP “The Lord is my light and my salvation—Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the refuge and fortress of my life—Whom shall I dread? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.” Did someone say “Breakthrough”???

    You are the undefeated One
    My light and my salvation
When the wicked, my enemies and my foes
came upon me to eat up my flesh
    They stumbled and fell

    Omnipotent, Almighty
    Defender, my victory
My refuge, The One I run to
    You are the God
You are the God of the breakthrough

A lot of people right now, don’t know what to do and can’t see their way through; but, they are fixing to have a “breakthrough” as they look to You! POFW we need to be ready and remember verses 13-14 MSG “I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.”

  6. 11. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

My way is probably the wrong way, the long way, or the hard way. Teach me thy way, O Lord, for I know that it is the right way.

    Isaiah 55:
    8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

    9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

    12. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

-And just remember, you won’t be stuck inside forever; soon you shall go out 🚪with joy! 😀

  7. Ps.27: 4-5] One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek , inquire for, and [ insistently] require; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord[ in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [ the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.
[ 5] For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.
There nothing that compare in being in the presence of the Lord. There nothing sweeter than the Lord. The lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliver , who I can depend on for the rest of my life! I love you Jesus.

  8. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Oh how I love Psalm 27!!! It’s so hard to pick a verse. I guess verse 5-6 are the ones that trigger my memory. I remembered that there were times that I got into trouble with my siblings when I was little and I remembered running into my fathers legs and hiding behind them, and the way he would get up and told whomever it was to stop and if they put one hand on me they would be in bigger problems. My father was my Superman, Batman all rolled up in one!!! That’s how I feel about my Jesus, my refuge, my strength, my ALL. I don’t know how to explain it but once you fall in love with Jesus Christ there is no fear. He saved me from my y biggest mistakes. He saved me from my worst guilts. He lifted my head and told me who I was the daughter of a King and told me never to walk looking down again. He let me know that I didn’t have to hide myself anymore. Oh How I love Jesus!!!!

  9. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

if only we knew the type of covering and protection that God has placed over us, then we would be much more feeble to do what we have been called and required to do by the Lord Almighty. Whatever God calls you to do something he places a certain amount of protection over you and only allows so much against you… To create strength over resistance and the ability to overcome. Our greatest challenge does not come from without but rather within. There is an old proverb that says if if I destroy the enemy within the enemy without can do me no harm. Overcoming the spirit of fear is one of our greatest obstacles, the enemy can do nothing to us outside of God’s protection.

  10. Psalms 27
And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

I will sing praises unto God. The Lord is my strength !
The praises of God’s people offering praises to God.
What a glorious celebration to be able offer you praises of joy . Each verse on this chapter is filled with promise! To know that God is our strength !

The Message translates it so well when all hope was gone God was there! Alone . No ! God never leaves never forsakes. He is right with us .

The last verse “Stay with God! Don’t Quit! “
Oh to stay close in His protection…

    Psalms 27 Message
    Light, space, zest—
    that’s God!
So, with him on my side I’m fearless,
afraid of no one and nothing.
2 When vandal hordes ride down
    ready to eat me alive,
    Those bullies and toughs
    fall flat on their faces.
    3 When besieged,
    I’m calm as a baby.
    When all hell breaks loose,
    I’m collected and cool.
4 I’m asking God for one thing,
    only one thing:
To live with him in his house
    my whole life long.
    I’ll contemplate his beauty;
    I’ll study at his feet.
5 That’s the only quiet, secure place
    in a noisy world,
    The perfect getaway,
far from the buzz of traffic.
6 God holds me head and shoulders
above all who try to pull me down.
I’m headed for his place to offer anthems
    that will raise the roof!
    Already I’m singing God-songs;
    I’m making music to God.
7-9 Listen, God, I’m calling at the top of my lungs:
“Be good to me! Answer me!”
When my heart whispered, “Seek God,”
    my whole being replied,
    “I’m seeking him!”
    Don’t hide from me now!
    9-10 You’ve always been right there for me;
don’t turn your back on me now.
    Don’t throw me out, don’t abandon me;
you’ve always kept the door open.
My father and mother walked out and left me,
    but God took me in.
    11-12 Point me down your highway, God;
    direct me along a well-lighted street;
show my enemies whose side you’re on.
Don’t throw me to the dogs,
those liars who are out to get me,
filling the air with their threats.
    13-14 I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness
    in the exuberant earth.
    Stay with God!
    Take heart. Don’t quit.
    I’ll say it again:
    Stay with God.

  11. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

Psa 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

The Bible is full of these verses from Genesis to Revelation encouraging people to be brave and not fear. This tells me that fear is a very real threat to those who are weak in the faith. The key to conquering fear is growing our relationship with the Savior.

1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

When we have a true relationship with Jesus, his perfect love will cast out all fear. This is how David endured all the assaults of Saul. David had relationship with God and it was said of David that he was a man after God’s own heart.

  12. AMP – 14 Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
    Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.

This chapter in the Amplified Bible is title “A Psalms of Fearless Trust In the Lord” – David had great confidence in the Lord and as we see him pour his heart out we see he is speaking encouragement to his own soul. He had learned the secret of being in the presence of the Lord while in the field tending sheep, playing music, singing praises to His God. Now that he found himself in a tough situation he relied on that relationship and knew that he could trust in that relationship.

Waiting takes patience, something that all of us have to work on. We have to learn to be still and wait. God knows where we are. He knows our needs. We must be like David and trust in the God of our Salvation and wait for Him to give us direction, or for Him to make the next move.

Wait on the Lord – James Wilson
[Verse 1] There’s not a mountain too tall
There’s not a problem so small
    That Jesus can’t resolve
    In time He’ll get involved
Our God He cares about us

[Chorus] So wait on the Lord, Wait on the Lord
Wait on the Lord, And He’ll renew your strength

[Verse 2] There’s not a night too dark
A journey too long to embark, Jesus will see you through
In time He’ll make you new, Our God He cares about us

[Bridge] He’s ordering, (I know what you going through Right now)
He’s ordering your steps, You’ve got to wait, You’ve got to wait
(God I believe That you’re orderingMy steps)

    [Reprise]
I’m gonna wait on you Jesus
I’m gonna wait on you Jesus
I am gonna wait on you Jesus
I’m gonna wait on you Jesus
    I’m not turning back now
I am not turning back now
    I’m not turning back now
    I’m not turning back now

    I am gonna wait
    I’m gonna wait
    I’m gonna wait
    Oh, oh, oh

  13. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Waiting can be difficult sometimes, but God is never late. His timing is perfect!

  14. 13 Yet I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.

If you’ve been healed, protected, and blessed you have seen the Lord’s goodness already. His goodness is daily, it doesn’t only happen during a time of need. God hears your prayers, and is with you while your here on Earth.

  15. 27 8 when thou saith ,seek my face
    My heart said unto thee,
Thy face Lord will I seek.
    ——-
    Amen!!!!
Have you ever talk this way too?
👉 Alejandra: (————) go seek the Lord.
Alejandra (————) get up, go in there and seek the Lord
Yes Lord, yes I am doing it. ..
Now I understand all of this hallelujah 🙌🙌🙌
    .
Thank you a Lord for your Holy Spirit.
Thank you God for not leaving me, nor forsaking.
And yes. I will seek the Lord, His face.
    In Jesus name.

  16. 7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

By His mercy we are able to seek His face, we are able to pray and seek after the goodness of the Lord. Thank You Jesus for loving us when we don’t deserve it; we will remain confident in You and Your faithfulness.

  17. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

We live in a time of uncertainty with an invisible illness and while we trust in God we can become anxious about the safety of our children, our finances and our own health. This whole chapter of Psalms -each word – is a healing balm. The Lord brought the verse “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God …” (Phillipians 4:6-7) to my mind last night and again this morning. So as I pray for our children and grands, our Pastor, Sis Watts, Oasis group, finances…I thank him because he already knows what the needs are and what my needs are. I can hide in the shelter of the Almighty God and be safe. Ps 91

  18. Psalm 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me he shall set up upon a rock.

When we need a place to hide when life overwhelms you? Try the strong, safe tower of the Lord! It’s a place of safety——in life or in death.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
    Proverbs 18:10

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous have a refuge.
    Proverbs 14:32

Thank God I don’t just have to shelter in place at a physical place but I can hide in His pavilion:in the secret of his tabernacle……

  19. I learned that the Lord is almighty and to be praised. I also think this is the chapter in the Bible that inspired the some breakthrough.

  20. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    CHURCH

4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

For over 31 years, my heart has been seeking the LORD. To obey, follow and to know HIM. I do not recall there ever being a service that I did not want to attend. For this I am thankful.

The greatest challenge I face with this is the that I thought everyone with the Holy Ghost felt that way. However, after just a few years in ministry I realized this is not the fact. I have heard some really unique reasons for people to miss church. But lets get REAL about it. It is a heart issue, the psalmist David is identified as a man after GOD’s heart and we witness here that this attribute is accompanied by a strong desire to be in the House of the LORD, the Temple or as in the New Testament; the CHURCH.

A heart after GOD is a desire to learn, experience and know HIM. Yes we can do this at home and we should daily seek HIM at HOME. But there is something special and unique about the opportunity for people to willingly gather in the house of the LORD and to worship and inquire at HIS Temple.

Seemingly every verse in this chapter is a potential subject to expound on. But, I pray that in the heart of every believer is the undying desire to get to the house of GOD. Build that desire by participating online. Meetings, prayer meetings, church services. Join in and invite others to join you. See you soon in JESUS Name at CHURCH.

  21. 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

They fell because Jesus was there

  22. Psalms 27:1-3
    1) THE Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
    2) When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
    3) Thou an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: thou war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

“In This Will I Be Confident”
When the LORD is your Light, your Salvation, and your Strength, you don’t have to fear. So, when it seems like the wicked, your enemies, and your foes have come against you, just put your Confidence in God, and He will take care of you.

  23. We do have a shelter in place thanks to God. We also have shelter in the arms of God and oh what a glorious feeling it is.

  24. ‘Yet I am confident I will see the Lord ’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.’
    Psalms 27:13

What are you placing your confidence in? Are you placing it in your surroundings, loved one, or even yourself?

Everyone and everything will let you down at some point. Yet, when we place everything in Jesus, HE will never fail!

  25. One thing have I desired of the Lord , that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his temple.
    Psalms 27:4 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.27.4.KJV

What a privelaged to dwell in the house of the Lord and we found out all too quickly how that privelaged can be taken from us due to circumstances. David is in desert places yearning for the house of God. I can say that I can’t wait until this is over. We had already been striving to keep our home a place where God can dwell, but when that’s all we have it’s a bit different. I’m thankful for all the privelages we still have to worship in this country. Jesus name

  26. “The LORD is my light and my salvation— Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the refuge and fortress of my life— Whom shall I dread? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, Even in this I am confident.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1-3‬ ‭AMP‬‬
David remembered how God had proven Himself reliable in the past. There were times when the wicked or even an army came against him, yet God still showed that He was David’s light, his salvation, and his strength.Remember with all that’s going on around us, God is still in control. We have to trust him.

  27. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I will not fear not for the Lord is with me and give me strength thank you JESUS for your grace

  28. God will win , God will have the victory … Prophecy it

The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. The one thing I ask of the Lord — the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord ’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
    Psalms 27:1‭-‬5 NLT

Jesus is in the soul saving business … The powers of the world and darkness are in the opposite side

  29. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

We are in those troubled times now and He hides us in in secret. He will be here to protect us. “. . . therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy;” He listens to our cries and takes care of us in these troubled times and the times of uncertainty and despair. He is our hope, our strength, our salvation, and our light to look to at the end of the tunnel.

8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

“. . . Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. . .” Are you seeking His face?? Do you visit with Him everyday?? Keep your relationship with Him strong!! It is more important now more than ever before in our lives!

  30. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid
We need to place all our focus on God.
    Psalms 18:2
    New King James Version
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold

10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up
    We are children of God
    1 John 3:1
[1]See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

  31. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Though wars may rage and storms may come, no matter what happens we can put our trust in god. In today’s world there is so much going that brings fear into our lives and it tries to divert our focus away from god whenever we should put our focus more on him in these times, we know that from god’s word he will never leave us and he’ll never forsake us and that we can put our trust in him.

  32. “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Two synonyms to wait are to rest and expect. When we wait on the Lord we can always find rest in Him and we can always expect that He will make a way out of no way. I thank God for the victory. I pray we have great expectations while we worship in our homes!

  33. Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
27:11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Being in the Lord you shall not have fear. The strangest thing was when I had my cancer operations I gave it to God and I was not fearful but my family was more scared than myself. I had told sis Anne that no matter what happened I knew that I would be fine, either here on this earth or with God. God took any fear I would have had! It was awesome.

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24 NKJV

  34. “Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms 27:14 NLT

This Scripture means that, we as The Body of Christ should wait on The Lord and stand firm for The Lord to rescue us from our enemies.

  35. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

When we walk with God we need to trust him for our enemies can’t touch us for we trust in God.

  36. Salmos 27:14
    “Aguarda a Jehová;
    Esfuérzate, y aliéntese tu corazón;
    Sí, espera a Jehová”

    * “Aguarda a Jehová; Esfuérzate”:
Aquí el Rey David le habla de su experiencia , y nos animar a buscar a Dios (espera a Jehová) y a tomar ánimos en Él (esfuérzate).

    * “Espera a su puerta con oración; espera a sus pies con humildad; espera en su mesa con servicio’

    * “El esperar en Jehová es siempre hallar caminos rectos, a pesar de los escabroso que pueda estar esa senda.”

    * “Y aliéntese tu corazón”
Esta profunda promesa es para nosotros. A través de los siglos David nos habló, y nos dice que estemos confiados de que hay fuerza en el Señor para aquellos que le buscan y confían en Él.

    * “Sí, espera a Jehová”

  37. “Teach me how to live, O Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.”(Psalms‬ ‭27:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

The Lord knows the right way to live a holy righteous life. He wants good things for us like joy and peace. When we trust in God and follow after him then he will lead us beside still waters to a place our enemies cannot harm us. He is our protector like he watched after David here.

  38. 9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

The Lord will never leave you alone no matter what. He loves all his children, even if you think your alone he is always standing right next to you. He will help you in the middle of your storm, he puts you in positions he know you can handle to make you stronger. No matter what the Lord will never leave your side.

  39. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.

3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.

    Psalms 27:1‭-‬3 NIV
    https://bible.com/bible/111/psa.27.1-3.NIV

Whom shall I fear? No one but, God He is the one to fear He keeps is safe He is our savior. Shall I Fear the enemy No! He has exactly no power over you unless you let him have power over you show him that there is only 1 God and always will only be 1 God! He is the king of Kings and Lord of Lord’s there is no one who can defeat Him!

  40. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
    Thank you Jesus

  41. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

There are times when we think we don’t have the strength to make it or to go on. And although much of the world is lost in darkness, there is a light. That’s what David was expressing in this Psalm and in those times God strengthened David but even more importantly David was pointing out that God was the constant, main source for everything he did in life. So what do I learn here is that our full trust must be placed in God alone. We should not fear for He is our light and salvation in this dark cold world.

  42. While you wait You might have to stand in the rain
While you wait there maybe some heart ache and pain
While you waiting for your promises to be fulfilled in your life
Remember God is never late so just praise him while you wait… wait
While you wait your friends may not stand by your side
While you wait your eyes may ache from the tears you’ve cried
While you waiting for your promises to be fulfilled in your life
Remember God is never late so just praise Him while
God is never late so just praise Him While
God is never late so just praise Him while
    You wait… Wait… Wait
(“While You Wait” by: Joe Pace)

I am so thankful for God’s grace and mercy in the good times and the bad!

  43. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

In Jesus we have no fear, we gain strength to face all that comes our way. Most importantly we have salvation! There no need to be afraid, for God is with us always. As we read the Bible we read of all the wonders and miracles God does for those who trust in Him fully. I pray that this Psalm encourages us to never doubt the Greatness of God. To use the strength God gives us to lift those around us and be the light in this dark world.

  44. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

God love to us, but He is calling us to seek Him. The call is general, Seek ye my Word; but we must apply it to ourselves. The word does us no good, when we do not ourselves accept the exhortation: a gracious heart readily answers to the call of a gracious God. Seek Him with all of your heart. Live JESUS Give JESUS 🙏

  45. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

Nuf said… We are in a time of trouble and its important that we get as close to God as we can so that we can be shielded in him. He will lift out heads as we offer him praises and live in his joy.

  46. Wait
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

We wait in line, we wait to have children, we wait for our food to come. In life we wait on a lot of things and unconsciously we are ok with waiting. Yet the moment God tells us to wait we freak out. It is my prayer that we allow ourselves to find a place in God where we do not see waiting as a punishment but the product of a great reward. The blessing takes time to be revealed.

  47. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble? NLT

When we feel like we’re in a bad spot, we need to know that He has kept us from so much more danger than we could ever imagine, He has kept us safe from wicked things in this world without us knowing. So let’s be grateful for what He’s doing for us even when we don’t see it!

  48. “Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:12-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord will never let the enemy have the satisfaction of having the last laugh. God always has one more move. And will always defend the righteous. Just when you think you’re back up against the wall and have no where to turn, that’s when God steps in. Abraham and Sarah laughed at the Words of being parents at their old age but Gods word came to pass and Isaac which means laughter allow them to see that God had the last laugh.

  49. One thing have I desired of the Lord , that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
    Psalms 27:4‭-‬5 KJV

All eyes on Jesus. It takes being captivated and fully with your mind on Jesus to not really worry about the world and the bad things around situations. I see here that David’s heart was not set on things of this earth. Rather being in the presence of the Lord. I believe he had experienced this before he tasted and saw that the Lord was good. When you fully give your heart, worries and everything to the Lord, then you know that you have nothing to worry about. He will take care of you, he will protect you, he will sustain you. Notice that all he wanted is to be in the house of the Lord, behold his beauty, and enquire of him. That is relationship. When you build relationships with someone you know you can trust them. Gods word is full of promises for us but the only way to discover them is to discover Him, discover His Word. Then you can rest assured in God and just let your request be made know unto him. And he will guard your heart.

  50. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

These verses are what gospel songs are made of. They are tools to encourage us. No matter what we go through their is no reason to be afraid for God is with us. If He is our light and salvation then all we have to do is follow after Him.

  51. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

One of the hardest and most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my walk with God is to wait on him. Making rash decisions before you pray is one thing and the next is to pray about it but not wait on the answer. Some of us are very impatient and need an answer right now, so we think but God wants to wait and let some stuff move out of the way, or develop further , or die even before he will answer. Truly trusting in God is tested in the wait. Can we trust God to wait? Or do we need to learn the hard way again??

  52. “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Lord is light and salvation. God brings me direction as the is the lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. He is my salvation. He is the strength of my life. I know it is through his strength that I can do all things. With God, whom shall I fear?

  53. 1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

A word for the people, even myself. We gotta ask ourselves whom shall i fear whom shall i we afraid. The Lord is gonna keep his hand upon us during this time and any other time. He is the calm in the storm i pray that we continue to seek him but even more so now than ever. Theres no excuse why we shouldnt have a stronger relationship with him.

  54. “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

David knew there was beauty in the nature and presence of God, beauty that could be perceived by the seeking eye of faith. He could think of no greater occupation than to fill his mind and heart with the goodness and greatness of God.

The experience of the goodness and greatness of God, it made me think about how wonderful it is to seek Him and to experience His presence.
    God is Good!!!
