Psalm 52

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

I want to be strong in the Lord and not in man because man will fail but God is perfect forever, he never gets it wrong. Thank you Jesus

  2. God is my provider , Jesus is my way, my truth , my life – Philippians 1:21 . As I continue to strive to do right .. I thank God daily , stay humble

The righteous will see it and be amazed. They will laugh and say, “Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.” But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people.

Its a good day to pull some weeds. i got some weeds that don’t belong in a flower bed and i believe its making the whole thing look ugly. God does the same thing with his people. He pulls the weeds out and roots them somewhere else rather than the land of the living. See it one thing to have someone lost in your flower bed that weed could be a beautiful flower we just gotta water it with prayer and feed it some special miracle grow (the word) and see how it turns out but weeds on the other hand you can feed them and water them and do all you want but those weeds are just gonna pull all the other nutrients from the other flowers. God wants us to do our own weeding in our lives though so please keep yourself weeded and keep yourself clean. Weeds don’t always have to be people either they could be things you’re spending too much time in Games, Activities, Movies, Shows, Netflix, Disney+ and so much more. We need to get back in this word and get after him!

  4. 1. Why do you boast of all the trouble you stir up, O mighty one, when the constant, unfailing love of God is what truly lasts? Voice

Nothing we do for our own gain will last, but God’s love is for everyone; it is powerful, and it never fails.

    And oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
    Reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found
    Leaves the ninety-nine
And I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it
    Still, You give Yourself away
    Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending
    Reckless love of God

There’s no shadow You won’t light up
    Mountain You won’t climb up
    Coming after me
There’s no wall You won’t kick down
    Lie You won’t tear down
    Coming after me

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Thank you Lord for your mercy and grace. Your praise will forever be on my lips!

  6. But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust [confidently] in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
    Psalms 52:8 AMP

Then you will say to the Lord , “You are my fortress, my place of safety; you are my God, and I trust you.”
    Psalms 91:2 CEV

  7. Psalm 52 : 2 – 3 [ amp] Your tongue devises wickedness; it is like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
[3] You love evil more than good, and lying rather than to speak Righteous, justice , and right. Salah
[ pause, and calmly think of that.
Prov.18: 21 [ Amp] Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [ death or Life]. A soft word turns away wrath, But grievous words stir up anger.
The eyes of the lord are watching us ! Speak good positive words and fall in Love with Jesus.

  8. Warning ⚠️
Strength can come from anywhere…BUT I only want strength through God

    Psalm 52:7 KJV
[7] Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

  9. 1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

Literally asking us, “…but why?” Of all the things we do, all the things we choose, all the things we allow into our spirits…why do we opt to take pride in mischief? The goodness of God endureth continually all around us just waiting for us to take part in it – why are we not involving ourselves with His goodness?!

  10. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Through the penning of this psalm, David is charging Doeg for all the sinful acts and crime that he had committed. He is charging him as though he was the judge. David through this psalm tells how the wicked is to be punished by God and through the process that he his continue to praise God no matter what.

I can say without a doubt that God will handle the wicked and also preserve the righteous. We only have to worry about living the truth and preaching the truth. No matter what may come our way, if we abide under the shadow of the almighty, we will be covered by Gods favor. This in its self will let us know we are be guided by the hand of the Lord as long as we are seeking him continually. God is our deliverer and our refuge. We have trust him through it all and we will hear “well done thou good and faithful servant.”

  11. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Proverb 18: 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Job 13: 15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Before anything, no matter what, TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART!!
3: 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Trust :: firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

It means that waves will come and go but they will NOT change your trust in Him. You will trust without need to see what happening. Oh thank you Jesus for I trust you no matter this corona virus, no matter this isolation, no matter if I see you or not, no matter what the governor says, and no matter what the president says, I will trust in the Lord for His ways ARE PERFECT! Hallelujah!!!

  12. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

“I care not today what the morrow may bring,
If shadow or sunshine or rain,
The Lord I know ruleth o’er everything,
And all of my worry is vain.
Living by faith in Jesus above,
    Trusting, confiding in His great love;
From all harm safe in His sheltering arm,
I’m living by faith and feel no alarm”

  13. Psalms 52:8-9 (MSG)
    8) And I’m an olive tree, growing green in God’s house.
I trusted in the generous mercy of God then and now.
    9) I thank you always that you went into action.
And I’ll stay right here, your good name my hope, in company with your faithful friends.

These verses represents someone who is…
    1) Growing in God – I’m an olive tree, growing green in God’s house.
    2) Trusting in God – I trusted in the generous mercy of God.
    3) Thankful to God – I thank you always.
    4) Faithful to God – I’ll stay right here.

This is what “EATing THIS BOOK” will do for you. It will cause you to GROW and TRUST In God and be THANKFUL and FAITHFUL To God.

  14. Verses 8-9 AMP “But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust [confidently] in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. I will thank You forever, because You have done it, [You have rescued me and kept me safe].
I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.” When you know who your God is, you have a sense of peace, stability and tranquility. Always wait on the name of Lord as Psalm 27:14 AMP says “Wait for and confidently expect the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.”

  15. 7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

In a world of convenience it is too easy become comfortable and confuse that as trusting in the Lord. I do believe very much that God will send things our way that cause us to question what we trust. Whether it’s our job or our car or any of the things in life that provide something to us, something can happen and our faith gets tested. I believe we need to continue to keep ourselves in check that we are trusting in God because these things are only temporary. While it seems very simple, all it takes is a small issue in our life that causes us to question where faith is. I choose to live Jesus and give Jesus

  16. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

A green olive tree. When a tree is green it means it is young. So he’s saying he will always be as a child in the Lord. And so we must be the same, not questioning or doubting but trusting in Him. Trusting in His faithfulness to us. Trusting in His mercy for us. Jesus said except we be as little children we cannot enter into the Kingdom of heaven. And not only that but a green olive tree produces much fruit and from which we get anointing oil. So to be as a child that stays close to God, able to work in His Kingdom, producing good fruit and walking in the anointing God gave us, that is to be a green olive tree.

  17. Thank you God for all you do for me and your children. You are the one true God in bad times or good you protect us and take care of us. Thank you God for 24 hour care and being our best friend.

  18. Psalms 52
I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Immediately my mind went to this verse in
    Psalms 20:7
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

Riches will cease. Men will fail you . But God is everlasting. We must continue to allow God’s word to cover us. To keep our minds ever surrounded .
David was surrounded by a turmoil of chaos . He was to be the King of a nation but in his what should have been time of preparation to lead he’s running and hiding and now leading an army of misfits.
Yet he is keeping his thoughts stayed on God and God’s (what He has already done before)! He makes the statement “I will praise thee forever because thou hast done it”! He continues in saying I will wait because it’s good for the saints. I think at this moment maybe he is doing his best to encourage himself in the Lord . Those following had to have the reassurance God had shown up before and He would again. I will praise thee forever ! David is writing his life . What shall I write . I choose to write words of victory in Jesus my Savior forever !

  19. 2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

James 3:5-12 King James Version (KJV)
5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks Matt 12:34

We must guard our hearts and not allow just anything to come to come out of our mouth! Think before speaking, find a better way to say it.

  20. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
Wow, I’m going to paste the scripture that comes up in my Study Bible and check out the subtitle.

Psa 52:1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

This Psalm is the way David felt when that feller informed Saul about the priest giving food and weapons. David starts off and speaks things that folks in todays world would question if he was saved…like Psalms 52:3  Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness…or Psa 52:4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

In todays world we can’t even challenge someone without another person saying we judged them. Yet these songs of David remain for thousands of years telling this wicked man of his wicked deeds. Wow, in your face Doeg!

  21. 1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

David means to say that the goodness of God is so great and so constant, that he would protect his true friends from such machinations; or that it, was so unceasing and watchful, that the informer and accuser could not hope to find an interval of time when God would intermit his care, and when, therefore, he might hope for success. Against the goodness of God, the devices of a wicked man to injure the righteous could not ultimately prevail. His goodness endurance forever. Amen

  22. Today chapter is about trust in the Lord you can’t take your next step if you don’t trust do we only trust him when things are good or bad ? This bring to a verse in a song , I will trust you at all times for he’s good, God is Good all the time even during our storm

  23. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

I have a few plants in my house but I have never grown a small tree inside as of yet. I would think that growing a tree inside would take some skill and a whole lot of care. Anything grown in the “wild” is free to grow as it pleases.

I have a tree in my backyard who’s roots are exposed above ground which is dangerous for the tree. Yet a tree grown inside is at the mercy of the one who plants it. The gardener will uproot the tree and repot into a pot that is revenant to its size and needs. The gardener will use high quality soil and fertilizer to insure the tree grows to its potential.

I said all that to say I am grateful for the mercies of God and His hand upon my life. I know that as long as I stay in the FATHERS house all my needs will be supplies. In the His house He will uproot me and repot me in a place that I may grow in His but Im still in His House. Some would say well the tree can grow larger if it was outside, No, no, no you are failing to understand how BIG my GOD really is.

I am planted, I am safe, and I am well taken care of in my FATHERS House!

  24. I Love To Worship The Lord
(8-9)But i am like a sheltered olive tree protected by the Lord himself. I trust in the mercey of God forever and ever.O Lord I will praise you forever and ever for your punshiment. And i will waite for your mercies for everyone knows what a merciful God you are

  25. I learned that we are in God’s house and we never stop growing. We are not like the people who gossip and have razor sharp teeth of lies.

  26. Psalm 52:8,9 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever I will praise thee forever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name for it is good before thy Saints.

I Chronicles 16:34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever. And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to the holy name, and glory and thy praise. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel forever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the Lord.

  27. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

We find David reflecting on Doeg telling Saul his whereabouts. Although he was angry, he remained faithful. He recognized that God had his back, and he would stand firm, unlovable, unshakeable by Doeg’s actions.

Too many times we react to the actions of others which causes us issues. If we could be like David, reflect on what was done, but resolve that it is not going to change who we are or what we do.

I Corinthians 15:58 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

  28. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

    I found IT!

I have pondered the past few weeks of missing my precious brothers and sisters in Christ JESUS what is it that I miss most about the limited gatherings of people in the house of GOD. Here IT is!

I am like a green olive tree!

We understand that the psalmist is that, an artist with words, an melody in the night season, a rainbow in the storm, a pond in the desert. Here David paints a picture for us. He is not suggesting that he is a tree, BUT if he could describe how he felt about the house of GOD, he (David) is like a green olive tree.

I glean from past studies of the olive tree these revelations:

    1. The olive tree roots are deep, STRONG and long.
    2. The olive tree is very durable, ENDURING hot and dry seasons, also the stormy.
    3. The olive tree has a natural BEAUTY.
    4. The olive tree produces FRUIT.
    5. The olive tree is the source of OIL

Upon further research I found this supporting facts:

Olive trees begin to produce olives when they are between six and 10 years old, and they reach their peak at about 40 to 50 years. Many continue to produce an abundance of olives even when they are hundreds of years old. When the trunk becomes large and old, the branches are trimmed off, leaving what appears to be a dead stump. But the next year, fresh shoots spring from the old stump, and soon a new and vigorous growth of branches again produces an abundance of olives.

David is saying, I am like a green olive tree because, I have been through the fire and am still here, I have been through the storm and I am still here, I have been through the famine and am still here, my best days of bearing FRUIT are ahead of me, my greatest anointing is before me, my roots are strong and sure in the house of GOD, I am PLANTED so I will REMAIN.

    Here is how I know.

    JESUS said:

Matthew 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Are you PLANTED in the House of GOD?

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been PLANTED together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

I am PLANTED in the House of GOD!

    The prophet declared:

    Jeremiah 42:9 And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;
10 If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.
11 Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
12 And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

GOD will PLANT and not Pluck if we abide in the land!

    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He has already done it! In our home this week we had a family discussion about God and his ability to be outside of time. The things that we are waiting for, he has already done. God is good. His mercy endures forever!

  31. 7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

  32. “Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The power words have over persuading people is astounding. I watched a show in which they were researching the power criticism and praise had over people. Those who did well on a task but we’re harshly criticized did worse on the same task they excelled at before. Those who failed at a task but were praised for trying came back and showed improvement. This is just an example of how our words can make or break something or someone.

I thank God that our tongue has the power to speak life into any situation. I pray we are wise with our words and that even in criticism we are constructive rather than destructive.

  33. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

Are you planted in the Kingdom of God?

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    • 7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

Riches and wealth comes and goes. In fact it goes more easy than how it comes. The only sure foundation is our Lord Jesus. In what will you put your trust? When God is with you and for you, you then have all you need.

  34. Psalms 52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.
Sometimes our prayers are not answered when we want them to. I am trying to learn to be patient. In God’s time, and for His reasons our prayers are answered when He wants them to be. We must not lose faith EVER in our Lord.

  35. “Why do you boast about your crimes, great warrior? Don’t you realize God’s justice continues forever? All day long you plot destruction. Your tongue cuts like a sharp razor; you’re an expert at telling lies. You love evil more than good and lies more than truth. Interlude You love to destroy others with your words, you liar!”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Some people love evil, and some people love to lie. Doeg fulfilled both aspects. He loved the destruction his devouring words brought. Thank you Jesus for mercy

  36. Praise the Lord, oh wicked my tongue is, the vile things I have said. As I grow in the Bible, and the lord, I find the ability to stop and think behind I speak getting stronger and I bite my tongue more and more. I’m so thankful for the Lord’s patience with me, for only through his grace are we saved. Hallelujah Praise God!

  37. 7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

Riches and wealth comes and goes. In fact it goes more easy than how it comes. The only sure foundation is our Lord Jesus. In what will you put your trust? When God is with you and for you, you then have all you need.

  38. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

When we put all of our trust in God we become fruitful of a virtuous tree. That provides good fruits. As David was, he put all his trust in the Lord during this long journey of King Saul trying to kill him. David trusted the Lord that was his foundation. I pray that we can be planted on His tree and produce for the kingdom. That we are providers of virtuous fruits and that we are not planted in a tree that will wither and die and ruin the good fruits.

  39. 2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Our tongue can really hurt someone or ourselves so we need to be careful in what we say to each other and to ourselves. When we have God he will help us speak the truth and peace to others and ourselves

  40. 9I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done.
I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people.

What’s in a name? A name is recognizable and someone will answer to it when called. There is one name everyone knows and that name is Jesus. His name brings hope, faith and strength to you. Call on his name at all times! Jesus!

  41. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
    Amen

  42. “Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.” But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.
    Psalms 52:7‭-‬8 NLT

We can only depend on our own riches and strength for so long, until it consumes us. Before we know it wickedness will settle in our heart and rule our life. We must root ourselves on Jesus and He will not only help us grow but also show us His love in the process.

  43. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Do you put all your trust and faith in the Lord? Once we put all of our love and faith and trust to the Lord we become a part of his wonderful kingdom. David gave all his trust and faith in the Lord knowing that the Lord will always protect him and keep him and keep him on the right path. We should give our all give our trust and faith to the Lord, God can protect us and lead us on the right path. For the Lord loves and will always protect us.

  44. “I will thank You forever, because You have done it, [You have rescued me and kept me safe]. I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52:9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thankful that God reached down and rescued me. Thankful that even though I fall short of his glory he yet still remains the same.

  45. “The righteous will see it and be amazed. They will laugh and say, “Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.””
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭52:6-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God can and will always work through goodness and truth.

  46. 8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.

9 For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.

    Psalms 52:8‭-‬9 NIV
    https://bible.com/bible/111/psa.52.8-9.NIV

Thank God all the days of your life, he is faithful to us. He died on the cross for our sins. We should always praise Him and give thanks for everything He has done for us!
    LIVE GIVE JESUS!

  47. 3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

If you are fulled with wickedness God will punish us so we should repent and obey him and follow him with joy and gladness.

  48. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

When we place our trust in God, we become like healthy, fruit producing trees or as David mentioned “a green olive tree.” Green olive trees bend and don’t break. Green olive trees continue to bear fruit even when the storms come. Green olive trees trust in the mercy of God to carry them on into eternity.

  49. 7 “Look what happens to mighty warriors
who do not trust in God.
    They trust their wealth instead
and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.”

“Money and fame bring a man shame, ain’t no doubt about it”

  50. But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust [confidently] in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. I will thank You forever, because You have done it, [You have rescued me and kept me safe]. I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.
    Psalms 52:8‭-‬9 AMP

    Amen!

  51. 2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

The tongue is a deadly weapon that can do so much harm and yet it is the hardest thing for us as Christian’s to tame. Be the leader you would want in your life. Be the influencer you would want to be in your life. Be the teacher you would want in your life. Be the friend you would want in your life. Be the example you would want in your life. Be the confidant you would want in your life. Be a good person rather than a soldier of the tongue and disaster. Lift others up rather than tear them down.

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

A testimony of what we strive not to be! Use your tongue wisely and train it if it needs the lesson.

  52. 3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

I’ve known habitual liars that would tell a lie even if the truth was a better story. Their story’s are comical as to the absurdity and foolishness and they don’t skip a beat thinking you believe them. This is exactly what satan does to the saints. He thinks we believe him but we know he’s completely full of it. He can’t tell the truth so why do some listen to the ridiculousness. Let us use his lies to laugh in his face.
We know the truth and Jesus is his name .

  53. But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. (Psalms 52:8 NLT)

At the house of God is where we hear the Word and Voice of God. His Word and Voice is what sustains us. We must eat this Book and hear His voice in prayer.

But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. (Psalms 1:2, 3 NLT)

  54. 2 The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

Doeg’s tongue was the cause of the utter ruin of Ahimelech’s family and the city of Nob; and as a razor may be said to “work deceitfully”, be careful what comes out of your Mouth. That can kill innocent people.
