Acts 1

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

  1. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

I’m so looking forward to being baptized tomorrow Wednesday April 22 in the name of Jesus. The lord has been changing my life these last few months and I look forward to being on of his servants, and continuing to spread the joy of the gospel that has been shared with me. We know not the hour that he shall return, and I want to be ready to great him. Thank you Jesus for giving a sinner like me a chance to be redeemed, thank you for being the lamb of all mankind, and for taking my sin. I look forward to the day that I may thank you in heaven. Thank you Jesus, I praise and worship you. Hallelujah.

  2. The Holy Spirit was promised unto them , JESUS also let them know he’s alive. JESUS tried to get their attention, JESUS might be calling us we just need to stop and listen. And be ready for the promise

  3. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

I believe that John knew that there was something even more powerful coming up ahead, and I believe he knew that it took more than just water to be truly cleansed and I believe he was anticipating it just like we are anticipating a move of God like we never seen before during the next 40 days: and if we keep our focus on him and remain obedient to his will I believe that so many lives will be changed by God.

  4. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Most important and greatest day of a person’s life.
For without this Spirit, your feet will never leave the ground when the Trump sounds.

  5. There is so much in this chapter this morning as we begin our 40 days! The beginning of the chapter talks about waiting on the promise that our Father promised us. The middle talks about them being united in prayer and agreeing they were in this for good. That meant through the good and the bad times! The end of the chapter, talks about being at your post. We are going to have an awesome opportunity as these restrictions are lifted to serve in many capacities. Many posts will have to be filled as many new ones have arisen due to the times.

1 Corinthians 16:13 AMP “Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong.” LIVE-GIVE JESUS with courage!

  6. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

    10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

  7. 24. And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

While those around us only see our actions and hear our words, God sees our hearts; He knows our intentions and motives. We need not only to say and do the right things, but to say and do them with the right spirit behind our actions.

    1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

    He knows my name
    He sees my heart
He knows each step I take
    He knows my deepest thoughts
    Before I breathed
    My first breath
My life was in His hands
He has a plan for me

  8. Acts 1:14 [ amp] All of these with their minds in full agreement devoted themselves steadfastly to prayer, [ Waiting together] with women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brother.
2 Chronicles 7:14] If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
We Pofw family are all gathered up in the upper room praying together in the Holy Ghost ! Wow great things are happening! Signs, wonders, miracles! New babies are coming to baptize in Jesus name. Thank you Jesus for each of them.
    Live, Give , Jesus!

  9. Thank you Jesus for today I pray for courage , power , Dominion, wisdom today by the blood of Jesus

And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
    Acts 1:24‭-‬26

  10. 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We may never know what season we are truly in until we are able to sit down and spend some time with the Lord and He reveals it to us. There’s so many times in my life where I have not understood what was going on and why things are going until later on when I look back and thought about it to realize that season I was going through had a much different purpose than what I thought. Just like the physical seasons, our lives are the series of tests & trials that are meant to burn away at our flesh so that we may be refined as gold and endued with more power.we have to learn to trust the season that were in that God is just using it to draw us closer to him so that we may be more effective for his kingdom

  11. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

  12. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence

Waiting on the Lord is sometimes difficult, but we must be patient if we are to receive from God what he has for us.

  13. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

This verse here is one of many that reveal to us our future life. Jesus had his original body back. In other words, yes the body of Jesus was killed by crucifixion, but that same body was raised from the grave. This is also true with us, the body we are in will die, but the same body will be raised from the dead when the trumpet sounds.

1Co 15:52  It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.
1Co 15:53  For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies

All eternity we will walk in the bodies that we currently have now, just like Jesus had the same body when he was resurrected from the dead.

  14. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

They were concern about politics!!! All they wanted to know was when will the kingdom be restored and Jesus made it clear that was none of their business. Jesus wanted them to focus on the importance and the power that the Holy Ghost will give them. He wanted them concern about the spreading of His word through out the world. That was what is important to Jesus that the whole world knew about His word. So they will not perish but have eternal life in Him. Thank you Jesus for baptizing me in your Name and filling me with your Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues!!! Hallelujah!!!

  15. They had persevering and steadfast prayer.
In one accord = 1 mind, with one accord, with 1 passion (this is used 11 times in the book of Acts)
prayer = earnestly for, make prayer
earnest = serious in intention, purpose, or effort, sincerely zealous

We must know how to pray privately, and the Church must know how to pray together. The Church was born in the upper room. They united in prayer until the heavens opened up.

  16. Send ‘Em Out

In Greek the word apostle means” to be sent out”.
When I finally found Jesus several years ago I was sent to the POFW.
When we go on outreach we are sent. When pastor dismisses us and encourages us to go invite people to church we are sent. When someone is in need and we have an opportunity to fill that need as the hands and feet of Jesus we are sent.
When we are called to do things in His name we are sent.
We are the apostles of the new era when we go in the readiness of the Gospel.
Even in quarantine, how can we LIVE and GIVE Jesus?
Even though we can’t leave our homes, where will God send us today?

  17. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We should be a witness for Christ no matter where we are, what we are doing or the company we keep.

  18. 1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Through His Spirit and His Word, God wants us to follow after what He did and taught. He has left us commandments to follow and when we are faithful and obedient to those things, we will surely be endued with power! Revive the passion in us Lord throughout these 40 days!

  19. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Through all that the disciples saw during the ascending of Jesus, they understood his command to tarry in Jerusalem. When Peter told them in the upper room that the scripture must have needs to be fulfilled. To have the courage to stay in one accord in prayer showed that they were united and wanting to see the promise of God be fulfilled. When the day of Pentecost was to be fulfilled no one asked questions, they were bound together in belief.

We of this generation have to have courage to stand up for the gospel and preach it without fear because we are to be the voice in a dying world. We have to be willing to take the criticism of this world because we are holding to the promise given to us by God. We are to stand unashamed and boldly. For the word and peace of God will keep us to the end. If we are
Brave and strong enough to endure.

  20. Luke 22:31 Jesus talking to Peter:
Simon, Simon, listen! satan has demanded permission to sift you, like grain… but I have prayed( specially) for you Peter
That your faint hand confidence (in Me )Peter May not fail
And you, once you have turn back again,( to Me)
👉 strengthen and support your brothers in the faith.

Acts 1:15 in those days Peter stood up,in the midst of the disciples and said( the number of them together were about a hundred and twenty) : men and brethren the Scripture
Must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake …….
    ——
Peter took the lead, Peter accepted Gods forgiveness and undeserving those conversations Jesus had with him, before his death and resurrection ….
The word is coming to pass, Peter got over Ed of his mistakes, and he is ready to do the work of the Lord.
👉. Peter stood up here to talk the men , and ready that again Peter stood up and talked so e more…..
    Made a terrible mistake?
    Sin yesterday?
    Spoke slander?
    Lacked?
Whatever happened, TODAY is a new day.
Let’s be sensitive to God ‘s guidance today and STAND and Speak. Acordó g to the scripture, according to that which had been spoken unto us.
    In Jesus name I pray.

  21. The disciples were left to carry on what Jesus taught them and showed them. As we need to carry on what God’s word has taught us and keep the HolyGhost inside of us to keep us safe and close to the word of God and his teachings.

  22. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,
    Acts 1:14‭, ‬24 KJV
Coming together as a body in Christ in prayer, fasting, praise, worship, submission, and obedience will shake the foundations of our cities, our state, and our country! Chains will be broke, miracles signs and wonders will take place.

    HALLELUJAH ❤👏👏🙌🙌

LORD restore our country as we repent and turn our hearts back to you.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
    2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV

  23. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

You have the power to overcome any giant the power to come any hurt pain or worry let us stand in courage let us be ,Ishtar men in valor

  24. 1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Teaching goes beyond what we do as an example. Please understand that being an example is very important but we must also teach what we do. If those around us is following us just out of obedience and not understanding at some point the enemy will set a trap of confusion and they could fall. They will become grounded in Christ when we take our life as an example and show and teach them the why and how to not fall into the trap of the enemy.

  25. “While being together and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Of which,” He said, “you have heard Me speak. For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized and empowered and united with the Holy Spirit, not long from now.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God wants to fulfill the promises of his people but are we willing to wait or are we going to move ahead and do our own thing?

“I wait [patiently] for the LORD, my soul [expectantly] waits, And in His word do I hope.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭130:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  26. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This power that He has given us drives our will to be a witness to others, not only through our words but through our lifestyle as well. We are all His disciples and have been given the charge to tell the World about Jesus!

I thank God for the outpouring of His Spirit on all, for not being a respecter of persons and extending His grace and mercy to all. I pray we continue to Live+Give Jesus, operating in the power He has given us!

  27. Deuteronomy 31
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

    Acts 1:8
    Ye shall receive power …..

I can picture all of this in my mind. Here the disciples along with some others had been with Jesus for forty days . He gives His last words of instruction Go , Receive and Be a Witness ….There had to be quite an amount of emotional experiences occurring. Jesus has just been resurrected from the day , He spends the past forty days proving He is alive now He is leaving them yet He declares they are getting ready to receive a strength a power like never before.
Could it be the last few weeks spending time getting to know Jesus on a more personal level that He is equipping us for one of the greatest outpouring of the Holy Ghost we have ever seen. We have to be prepared. I believe that as the forty days of The Fire begins today that God is going to show that He us ever more alive …proof of His power He is telling us to Go Receive and Be a Witness . It takes courage today to truly proclaim that Jesus Christ actually lives within us through the power of the Holy Ghost . It’s time to allow the Spirit of God to make us more powerful bolder than ever before.
God I pray today that every fear, every moment of “I don’t know “ because of the times we have been facing but that we realize that You have equipped us The Church For such a time as this! We have received the power and it’s up to me to use what You have given to me. Power . I pray that as I commit the next forty days to You that I will not refrain from allowing this power this Fire to be quenched but to be ever so blazing that embers sparks will ignite those I come in contact with in Jesus name that they too will receive this Power of the Holy Ghost. That the ten to win will just not be ten names written on a card but will be filled and ignite others they come in contact with to be filled. That the fast of laying aside something the flesh desires would be omitted to be replaced with the fuel of spending more time in Your presence to feed The Fire You have placed in side of us. Time is running short and I must use what You have equipped me with and that is
Power of the Holy Ghost ! In Jesus Name !
    Amen

An after thought about the emotions of the disciples. They still had business to tend to . The replacement of one who had left them . Judas who had betrayed Jesus. I am sure this was a painful experience for them. We do not know why some betray the things of God and walk away from the Holy things but there is always someone who has been sincerely waiting for a true walk with God . Judas walked away from the very touch the very presence of Jesus Christ .Mathias his replacement walks right into the most powerful experience the baptism of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. How grieved for those who turn away we must pray for the return of those that have walked away. For Judas it was too late . There would have been plenty of room for both him and Mathias and we will never know what kind of team they could have been . God help us to be mindful of each soul those struggling those who have lost The Way as those looking for The Way . In Jesus name .

    1 John 4:4
Greater is He that is within you …….
    Power of the Holy Ghost

  28. AMP – 14 All these with one mind and one purpose were continually devoting themselves to prayer, [waiting together] along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

It is amazing what can be accomplished when Leadership is in unity. As we approach these 40 days of “THE FIRE”, let it be our “one purpose” to be unified with our Leadership so that we collectively as one body build a flame of the Spirit that cannot be quenched by any fiery dart of the enemy.

There’s a lost world that needs to catch on fire with the fire of the Holy Ghost, and we are the ones responsible to spread it. So regardless how we feel about what as a world we have been going through over the past 6 weeks, let’s out that all behind us, focus on “one mission and one purpose” and see what God will do with all of thinking and going in the same direction over the next 40 Days.

  29. “And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus didn’t recommend that they become witnesses; He said they would bewitnesses.

  30. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

I don’t know about you but can you imagine being able to witness all the things that took place during the death, burial and resurrection … can you just imagine the expectation in that privileged group while they waited for what Jesus promises to fall upon them!

    #liveJesus #giveJesus

  31. 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    Jesus commanded them to wait.
    Wait for what?
    The promise of the Father.
What was the promise of the Father?
The Holy Ghost. (St. John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,…”).

So thankful that the Holy Ghost was not just for them back then, BUT it is for you and I and our children, AND it is for those who are yet to come. “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:39)

Thank You JESUS for the HOLY GHOST and FIRE!!

  35. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    40 DAYS OF VISION

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

JESUS revealed himself for 40 Days after HIS resurrection.

    40 DAYS OF VISION =
    SIGHT
    REVELATION
    UNDERSTANDING
    PROOF
    PASSION = FIRE

This is my prayer for The POFW and all that are participating in The FIRE over the next 40 Days.

JESUS will give HIS Church SIGHT of HIS Glory
JESUS will give HIS Church REVELATION of HIS Power
JESUS will give HIS Church UNDERSTANDING of HIS Plan
JESUS will give HIS Church PROOF of HIS Authority/Ability
JESUS will give HIS Church PASSION for HIS Kingdom

Lets unite our FAITH and Resources over the next 40 Days and anticipate and expect a supernatural demonstration and outpouring of the Holy Ghost in each and every meeting, Prayer, Worship and Planning.

Lets UNITE in Prayer for the Evangelists that will grace the pulpit at The POFW over the next 40 Days of The FIRE. But, most importantly lets make sure we are Passioned for JESUS and HIS Kingdom with The FIRE from the altar and that it may never GO OUT.

Leviticus 6:12 And The FIRE upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings.
13 The FIRE shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

  36. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

The Lord not only created all things but Knows all Things! There is not one thought, action, or word that He misses. There is great comfort in knowing this, because even though He knew every act we would commit, or our heart through every stage of our life.

He still chooses us, each and everyday.

  37. 6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

    Acts 1:6‭-‬8 NIV

We are all witnesses we have seen what God can do His Miracle’s He has done, our prayers He answers for us everything He does for us. We need to testify and show the world what He can do He can save us and change our lives around. We are disciples of the Lord and we need to make more we need to help other and tell them about His powerful word before it’s to late. We are not able to change people but,we can pray for them and He can change them.!
    LIVE GIVE JESUS!!

  38. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnessed unto me both in Jerusalem, and I all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

This is where world evangelism and discipleship started. The Great Commission still is active today.

Matthew 28::18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefor, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Thank God for filling me with the Holy Ghost to fulfill the Great Commission!

  39. UGH!! I want it now!!

7-8 He told them, “You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business. What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”

We all want good things to happen in our lives, but too often we want it now…not later. When it doesn’t happen that way, we are tempted to ask, “When?” Most of us – myself included – need to grow in the area of trusting God instead of focusing on the “when” question. If we’re missing joy and peace, we’re not trusting God. If our mind feels worn out all the time, we’re not trusting God.

God is teaching me to leave things alone and quit feeling that I needed to know everything. I am learning to trust God; who knows all things and accept that some questions may never be answered. We prove that we trust God when we refuse to worry. Trusting God often requires not knowing how God is going to accomplish what needs to be done and not knowing when He will do it. We often say God is never late, but generally He isn’t early either.

  40. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

So much can be accomplished when the church body has unity.

This can at often times be difficult, with each of us being so different. But when we realize the purpose Jesus has given us is more important than the differences between us. We can overcome any obstacle!

  41. I learned that John Truey Baptize with water; But they should Be Baptized In the holy ghost Not many days heads.

  42. 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We are the witnesses of the Lord we see him do wonders of miracles, we see the Lord do miracles every single day! We need to show the world that his is alive, spread his word bring people to his kingdom. The Lord answers every single one of our prayers he protects us heals us, it’s time for us to start spreading around that God is a miracle worker he can save them from their sins.

  43. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

So many in the denominal world need this apostolic message of the Fire of the Holy Ghost! Our mission is to challenge these precious people to read and study the Acts of the Apostles where we begin today! It is life changing and destiny altering to know this truth.

  44. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We have power because we have the Holy Ghost

  45. 7He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

It would be nice to know when the coming of the Lord would be. But no one knows. For the mean time, we all are witnesses for others. Tell others what God has done for you, what has changed in your life, let them know about the miracles and blessings.

  46. Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

  47. Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

God so loves us that He wants all of His children to have the Holy Ghost. It was just not for the disciples but for everyone to receive! Jesus is SO awesome!

  48. 8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. When we see and meet people we need to tell them about Jesus and let them know he is loving and merciful. Also give them a POFW church card and invite them to church.
    Live Jesus give Jesus

    Deuteronomy 31:6
[6]So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
    Fear is not of God

    “Not Afraid”

    I have this confidence because
I’ve seen the faithfulness of God
The still inside the storm, the promise of the shore
I trust the power of Your word
Enough to seek Your Kingdom first
Beyond the barren place, beyond the ocean waves

When I walk through the waters, I won’t be overcome
When I go through the rivers, I will not be drowned
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid

You keep the promises You make
There isn’t one that is delayed
So I will not lose heart, here, I will lift my arms
And start to sing into the night
My praise will call the sun to rise
Declare the battle won, declare that it is done

When I walk through the waters, I won’t be overcome
When I go through the rivers, I will not be drowned
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid
When I am in the fire, I will not feel the flame
I’ll stand before the giant, declaring victory
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid

Before me, behind me, always beside me
No shadow, no valley, where You won’t find me
    No, I am not afraid
Before me, behind me, always beside me
No shadow, no valley, where You won’t find me
    No, I am not afraid
    I am not afraid

When I walk through the waters, I won’t be overcome
When I go through the rivers, I will not be drowned
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid
When I am in the fire, I will not feel the flame
I’ll stand before the giant, declaring victory
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid

    No fear with You, Jesus
I can stand with confidence and sing
You’re the One who always saves the day, Jesus
You never let me down, no
No place for fear, no place for worry
I stand in Your confidence and I know
I know You are the One who has me, who holds me
You go before me, You prepare the way in front of me, Jesus
Guiding every step along the way
You are the One who goes before me, You are the One who stands behind me
You are the One that’s all around me, surrounding me, Jesus
I know, I can trust You, Jesus, yeah

Before me, behind me, always beside me
No shadow, no valley, where You won’t find me
    No, I am not afraid
Before me, behind me, always beside me
No shadow, no valley, where You won’t find me
    No, I am not afraid
    I am not afraid

When I walk through the waters, I won’t be overcome
When I go through the rivers, I will not be drowned
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid
When I am in the fire, I will not feel the flame
I’ll stand before the giant, declaring victory
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid
    1 John 4:4
[4]But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
When you have the gift of the Holy Ghost anything can be conquered

  49. So in Acts Chapter 1 Verses 2-4 Jesus is talking about Courage and he’s also talking about how to stand up for yourself and in verse 2 of Acts Chapter 1 he’s talking about how he was taken up through the Holy Ghost and he was given these commandments unto the apostles where he was chosen and in verse 3 Jesus is talking about how he shewed himself by many proofs and being seen for forty days and talking about the things that pertain to Jesus and in verse 4 he’s talking about jesus commanded them to wait for the promise of Jesus.

  50. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

“. . . It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.” We do not know the seasons, the times, the future, or even what’s planned. We don’t know these things because we were never meant to. Sometimes this is hard for us to wrap our mind around, because we can do things like predict the weather but we can’t time travel (Although, there are those that have tried). But we were never meant to. It is in His power, not our own. We now are living in extremely uncertain times and we don’t k ow what’s around the next cutworms or three corners, much less even the next corner. We must be strong and stay united.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We must be strong and stay united, because we do process that fire which He gives. Once we have the Holy Ghost it is our duty to be a witness of His Great Name!! It may be uncertain times, but there is one thing we can be certain of. . . !!!

  51. “These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:14-17, 23-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In this chapter Peter’s leadership is what stood out to me. He recognized the need and acted on it. In leadership there must be a plan. And the plan needs to be clearly presented to those who are following us. And finally the plan must be followed through.

  52. Here in chapter 2 we see JESUS promise them the holy ghost we also see that he tells them you will receive power when the holy ghost comes upon you and in chapter we will see the promise fullfiled

  53. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This Scripture means that, we will receive power when we receive The Holy Ghost And we will be his witnesses telling people everywhere about The Amazing Salvation that Jesus foretold in His Book

  54. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

We don’t know when the Lord will come we should be ready everyday and tell the truth of the word for we are the witnesses of God and the reflection of His light.

  55. Hechos 1:7-8

    * “Pero recibiréis poder”:

  56. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Jesus’s mother and brothers were there, praying and waiting together with the other disciples for the Holy Spirit to fall. They realized that they also needed to obey Jesus command to wait. We see this example quite often in the bible of continuing to be connected with prayer. We read about it in Romans 12:12: “rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.” And again in Colossians 4:2: “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.”………………. The whole purpose is that we need to keep praying and not give up. Be devoted and press on because God is looking for people who are always ready and committed to prayer. Even more, we really need this day is a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit in and over our lives. Thank you LORD !!

  57. vs.4 Abd, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

After the, Resurrection , Jesus spent forty days with His followers and shared with them many things from the Scriptures …He wanted them to ( Trust believe in the Word Of God) and focus on receiving the Spirit..
The Greek word dunamis..” power, strength, might, or authority in action ” Acts 1:8

God certainly expects His church to be active for Him in the world.
The Lord continues to fulfill His promises of power, protection, and provision…Praise the Lord!

  58. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NLT

We are the chosen generation to finish what the apostles did in the earth to go out and spread the good news of Jesus Christ in every nation. When the outpouring of the Holy Ghost fall upon us we shall receive power and become witnesses of His miraculous.

  59. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    He said everywhere:

We have been charged as…. holy ghost filled, truth knowing, gospel knowing, witnesses of his works, and lover a of Christ to go out and share his name with the entire world.

  60. 3 After his death, he presented himself alive to them in many different settings over a period of forty days. In face-to-face meetings, he talked to them about things concerning the kingdom of God.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

No matter where we are God is there ready to show himself if we let him. In these 40 days we must allow ourselves to be less and let God be more. Whether it be at church, in our homes, or with others, letting God show himself through us is what he has called us to be witnesses of.

  61. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Thank you Jesus for the Holy Spirit

  62. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

If you really do pray and ask, God will direct your path. It matters to God even from the little things. In fact it is in the little things that we should learn to ask how much more on major decisions to make. Major paths of life to take. The tells us clearly on proverbs 3 for us to not learn on our own understanding, but to acknowledge Him in all our ways and He shall direct our paths. We must remember that our thoughts, (understanding) are not his thoughts. For His are higher than us. Bit the only way to get to trust Him on the big matters of life is to begin asking about the every day small things. Acknowledge Him get him involved in your life. He wants to be part of the every day every moment. It’s a way to train yourself to listen and obey. Ask, pray and ask. As small or foolish at it may seem. Take the word for what it says. It may just be that He gives you Devine revelation on a matter, or simply gives you wisdom to make the best choice.

  63. 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

I think God says the same thing sometimes about us why sit you waiting around and not doing anything for the kingdom, I believe that is what they were saying don’t just stand her gazing but go get ready for his return. I want to be ready everyday that I have left so I can be with him forever.

  64. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

What He knows about you is more important than what they think about you because He knows your heart, He gave it to you!

  65. 8. But ye shall receive power. after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem. and in all Judea. and in Samaria.and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  66. What do those things have in common? Four things:
    1. Bravery in the face of danger.
    2. Steadfastness in the face of opposition.
    3. Action in the face of resistance.
    4. Optimism in the face of despair.

The first one says I won’t be afraid. The second one says I won’t give up. The third one says I won’t be intimidated. The fourth one says I won’t lose heart.
It is amazing how much the Bible has to say on this subject.
“Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go,” Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-7
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.” Psalm 27:1-3
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

    1. Remember your position.
Our text says, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

    2. Confront your fears.
Remember the text. “The wicked flee when no man pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion

    3. Censor your input.
A healthy mind is absolutely essential to getting free from fear. The Bible says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

    4. Cultivate your love.
You have to live in such a way as if the fear didn’t exist. I John 4:18 says, “Perfect love casts out fear

  67. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

The word “continued” denotes “persevering and constant attention.” The main business was devotion to continuing instant in prayer” waiting for the Holy Spirit. As we begin 40 days of The Fire. We as a church should constantly continue to seek Him and see what it’s going to happen in this 40 days. Let’s seek Him with all of our heart, mind and soul.

  68. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We have received the power of the Holy Ghost. Now as witnesses of God we must go to the the ends of the earth, to the lost and bring the gospel to them. To fulfill God’s command. His love for us is unmeasurable, that He doesn’t want anyone to perish. An activated church is the hope for this world! Let us unite and Go live Jesus and Give Jesus to the world!

  69. ut ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. AMEN

  70. During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.
Acts of the Apostles 1:3 NLT

Excited about what Jesus is going to do in these forty day. Expecting Him to show up like never before and lead us into a REVIVAL that will change the world.

  71. 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

God gave his apostles the directions on what they must do. God is still telling his people what we must do. It’s important that we listen earnestly to what thus saith the Lord. Focus on God’s word and he will lead you to greater.

  72. ““Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!””(‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

  73. ““For,” said Peter, “it is written in the Book of Psalms: “ ‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’ and, “ ‘May another take his place of leadership.’

So they nominated two men: Joseph called Barsabbas (also known as Justus) and Matthias. Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.” Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:20, 23-26‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There is nothing we could ever do in Any form of ministry that would make you irreplaceable. Everybody is irreplaceable, so don’t get arrogant in your ministry thinking nobody can replace you, just remember how easily Judas was replaced. God put men in place that would be able and willing to take his place as part of the apostles and just like that, when you walk away there’s somebody led by God to take your place and keep doing what you were doing without skipping a beat.

  74. “Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:12-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus told them to return to Jerusalem and wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit, and that is exactly what they did. The disciples were in obedience, they were in fellowship, and they were in prayer.
As we go into this next days of The Fire 🔥 we should also be in supplication for the power of God to come to our home, to our city. That we may also be witnessing to everyone who is around us or the people who we encounter.

Unity was a great factor in this verse, we as the church we need to in one accord as we march forward this next 40 days. I pray that God moves in a mighty way in each and every one of us and that we keep the fire of our altar burning.

  75. 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

He said don’t you worry about the seasons that are to come, just know this. You have power and authority with the Holy Ghost, without it were nothing. But with it we contain everything and anything we need. There’s no valley too deep, there no mountain to y’all God can get you Access in any where and access out of any situation.
Press on the father and he’ll protect you

  76. 7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

When God has given us a promise it’s not meant for us to doubt but to believe. No matter how long the promise might take we shall never loose sight of that promise. Gods timing is perfect no matter what we think. God is faithful and shall never forsake us.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Don’t loose sight of Gods promises but hold on to those promises and see the hand of God move in our lives. There is nothing impossible to God!!!!

  77. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

  80. all that Jesus (began) (Unity)

    Just the beginning

1 Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

I feel in all my heart things didn’t stop when Jesus died at the cross, HE rose again so that we would pick up where HE left off on earth in the flesh.

The water in the well is running free for those who thirst..

What is my passion (after his passion)

[8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

If you have the Holy Ghost you have that same power

    1 Timothy 4:8 KJV

  81. As I go back over the chapters I am finding new things still to glean from and new understandings to strengthen my own foundations. It took courage for the disciples to step forward into what they had been told without yet any evidence but they had the courage to move forward and doing so they gained the great gift for their unity and commitment to the instructions of Christ. This way we must do the same thing with our own commitments and ministry so we also we keep that gift alive and gain new ones.
