Acts 4

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

  1. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

There are so many lost and dying people In this world that are headed to hell without the knowledge that there is a simple way to be saved from spending eternity in hell and that way is like Peter said in Acts 2:38; you must REPENT and be BAPTIZED in JESUS name for the remission of sin. It is and should always be our mission in life to reach those that are lost and bring them the truth of god’s word and point them to him so they can be saved for eternity.

  2. vss.12 & 13 Neither is there salvation in any other name ,under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

All through the book of Acts they spoke boldly the word of God because they knew who Jesus was and He was standing beside them and were not ashame of the gospel.

If our heart is not where it’s suppose to be the power of God makes us miserable because we don’t understand a spiritual service. ( as were the rules, elders, and chief priests)
If anybody in the world should live boldly and fearless
it ought to be one believing Jesus Name Apostolic people.
It takes certain boldness to take you into the Spirit but fear keeps us from having that boldness.
When we get in the Spirit things begin to happen we cannot explain in the flesh.

This reminds me of John in Revelation…when he got in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day….Rev.1:17 And when I saw him,I fell at his feet as dead.
Jesus speaks Fear not; I am the first and the last:
    18. I am he that liveth, and was dead; behold,I al alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Which brings to mind.. a oneness word..it goes like this…..now John if I am the second person in the trinity..then you have a right to lay there horrified.,
And another thing John you believe that God was half almighty or a third almighty go on and stay there dead but
“I Am THE ALMIGHTY ” His name is JESUS!!!
You don’t have to be fearful get up! ( preaching to me)
    Know that I Am HE
This requires us to go forth in the identity of the Lord Jesus…Acts 4:12
They could ask anything in His name and confidently receive the answer. The name of Jesus was the key to the power and authority of God, so they acknowledge that name continually
” And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” Colossians 3:17

  3. 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

His name is of great power, it all starts with your faith. He can do all things!

  4. Acts 4:10
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

This was a true act of friendliness, I see 3 things in this verse: 1st he lets them know by what power this act was done he says Jesus (whom you crucified) the first statement he makes is being a witness. He shares he testifies he says this is who did it!
2nd He says (whom ye crucified) whom you chose a murderer over a thief over. This is conviction being set forth ion their hearts. so their eyes are opening and their hearts are softening.
3rd they have before them a testimony, an act that can’t be denied because it is there in the flesh. When you share the testimony or show the “proof” then this particular person has received three different acts from a friendly christian such as yourself and thats when they can’t deny anything else at that point.

So after you use this example and put it into action for yourself there should be no problem why someones faith in Jesus shouldn’t be high enough to receive something from God. You’re a true friend for that because you’ve allowed yourself to be used by God without your willing and submissiveness this person may have to wait on a word from Jesus but because of YOU, you’ve sped up the process for this someone and they too could share the gospel. Be a witness today and share Christ like Peter be bold and stand firm on the word of God and add a testimony for good measures!

  5. Peter wasn’t afraid to stand up for his beliefs eventhough he was threatened. He favored God over anyone . This is the kind of faith we need to have there’s no one greater or stronger than JESUS

  6. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

  7. Verses 29-31 MSG “And now they’re at it again! Take care of their threats and give your servants fearless confidence in preaching your Message, as you stretch out your hand to us in healings and miracles and wonders done in the name of your holy servant Jesus.” While they were praying, the place where they were meeting trembled and shook. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak God’s Word with fearless confidence.” Our approach and attitude towards sharing the Word of God is crucial. These people came up against Peter and John with accusations and threats. Peter and John came back with a fearless confidence in their responses, which I believe was also friendly. When we approach someone with punches, their general response will be to punch back; but, when you approach something with friendliness (a friendly and cheerful manner) people tend to respond the same. By no means did their threats stop Peter and John as the end of verse 20 says “….As for us, there’s no question—we can’t keep quiet about what we’ve seen and heard.” So, let us not keep quiet; but, rather LIVE-GIVE JESUS with friendliness!

  8. he impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

  9. So in Acts Chapter 4 verses 10 it’s talking about how Jesus had crucified and was raised from the dead where this man stand before you whole then in Verse 11 it’s talking about a stone that was set for builders which became the head of the corner then in verse 12 it’s talking about how the salvation is none other name given among men where you must be saved

  10. Acts 4:13, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled: and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”

“They Knew A Thing Or Two, Because They Saw A Thing Or Two”
They Knew that Peter and John had been with JESUS, because they Saw their boldness.

There’s a saying that says, “You may be the only JESUS some may ever see.” That’s why it is important for us to LIVE JESUS, so that we can GIVE JESUS.

  11. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

The question was raised- by what power or by what name was the healings done in? As Peter being Peter, had a boldness to answer the accusers. He states with the boldness by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom he crucified. Peter finishes letting them know that neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

The name of Jesus will cover a multitude of sins and it will bring deliverance, it will bring healing, it will bring hope, it will bring peace, and above all else it will bring joy. We have to not take this powerful and authoritative name for granted. We have to not appear as unlearned and ignorant. We have to use the knowledge and wisdom in the word of God and be able to display the power and authority of the name. I can say without reservation that Jesus is more than enough to make it through this world and see the glory of heaven. Just have to live Jesus to give Jesus. There is no other name.

  12. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Jesus is the only way. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. There is no hope for anyone apart from salvation through Christ.

  13. Acts 2
    1 Jesus is

    “‘the stone you builders rejected,
    which has become the cornerstone.’[a]
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. 14 But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. 15 So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together. 16 “What are we going to do with these men?” they asked.

Courage to speak with the power of the Holy Ghost. There is no way in myself can I have the boldness nor the knowledge to speak to any one.
It has only been through the power of Jesus Christ. But I promise God will give you to power as stated in Acts 1:8 to be a witness. The only knowledge you need is knowing what God has done in your life. The Holy Ghost will show up. It won’t matter if the person you are ministering to has everything degree imaginable. If they are hungry they will listen .
My mind goes to a man and his family when we were pastoring. He had been running for a legal position for our state . Him and his family had become distraught through the emotional strain of the campaign. Yes God opened the door for us to go into their home pray with them and teach . Some in high government places may want to stop proclaiming of Jesus yet there will be those God is going to allow us to speak to . We cannot stop.
I find it strange that a lame man was healed and it caused the rulers to want to out a stop to the teaching . The proof was there that God was doing something . Unlearned it’s ok . Use what God has given you ! Power power of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name there is no other where man must be saved!
Live Jesus so I can Give Jesus …..

  14. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

There is truth in the Word of God, all we have to do is speak it! It’s not our job to badger people, but simply share the gospel and God will do the rest and reveal Himself to those who are truly hungry and seeking after Him.

  15. 17But to keep them from spreading their propaganda any further, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again.

The government has taken God out from the public, the schools and workplace. One can’t mention Jesus in public cause someone may get offended. They don’t want us Christians spreading the Word around. But we must be bold and tell others about Jesus. Let’s not be intimidated by the unrighteousness.

  16. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter…

Peter and the disciples could have easily been intimidated, yet they spoke the word with boldness through the Holy Ghost. God will give us the words to speak for any situation that arises, through the gifts of the spirit, if we are filled with his Spirit and trusting in him. And especially when we are teaching or giving our personal testimony, he will be our help.

  17. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

One of the most quoted scripture in the Bible and it still holds true it has the same powerful effect it always has. The Lord be true and his name shall reign forevermore. there’s just something about the name of Jesus Christ that brings peace to all of chaos and calamity, something about saying the name of Jesus that brings order to everything going on. I love the name of Jesus

  18. Live Jesus Give Jesus! People are gonna question. People are gonna talk. People are gonna find a loophole. Stand firm on Jesus and he will keep you set on the solid rock. No ifs ands or buts

  19. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Can you imagine what the disciples were up against? I would rather the world label me as “unlearned” or “ignorant” than to be labeled, according to this world right now, a genius.

I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold
I’d rather be his than have riches untold
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or land
I’d rather be led by his nail pierced hands

  20. Acts 4:30-31[While You stretch out Your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus.
[ 31] And when they had prayed, the place in which they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage.
Let’s be bold and keep on telling people about the goodness of the Lord. And to share our testimony to them also. I love the name Jesus.

  21. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

The power of prayer is earthquaking. It shakes the very foundation of a person.

  22. 7. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

    10. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

By the name of Jesus Christ was he made whole, and by the same name and same power can you be made whole today!

    Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

    One name
    One name can save
    One name
    Breaks every chain
    One name, always
    One name, Jesus
    One name
    One name remains
    One name
    We will proclaim
    One name, always
    One name

    There is power
    In the name of Jesus
    There is power
    Power in His name
    – Lincoln Brewster

  23. “So they sent for them, and commanded them not to speak [as His representatives] or teach at all in the name of Jesus [using Him as their authority]. But Peter and John replied to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you and obey you rather than God, you must judge [for yourselves]; for we, on our part, cannot stop telling [people] about what we have seen and heard.”

And now, Lord, observe their threats [take them into account] and grant that Your bond-servants may declare Your message [of salvation] with great confidence,”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:18-20, 29‬ ‭AMP

Here we see Peter and John confronted and told by those in authority over them to stop speaking and teaching on Jesus. Now Peter and John, already mandated by God to preach in His name, were in a dilemma. The law was telling them one thing while they had already been charged by God to do the opposite. In the end, they stood strong in their faith and respectively told the court they could not stop telling others about what they had seen and heard. But the story doesn’t stop there. After being released from prison, they went and asked God to confirm their decision.

Sometimes what God has mandated and what those in authority are telling us will conflict. In this moment, we should not dismiss and disrespect either, but consult God in our decision on what to do. We learned last night through Bro. Rodriguez that when God has told you something, He won’t leave you, He will back you up 100%.

I thank God for never failing nor forsaking us. I pray we remember in every decision we make to consult God first!

  24. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
Act 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word

Its not the same situation, but it seems close to what a lot of people are facing today who have left their churches open during this pandemic. They are being threatened by the governments of their states to close their doors. While it’s not the exact situation, the element of intimation is the same. I pray for those who put their reputations out there and who have been mocked by the liberal media to receive supernatural boldness that they might speak the Word with Power.

  25. After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
Acts of the Apostles 4:31 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.4.31.NLT

The Power of Prayer!! What could happen if we open our days as a family, our business meetings, when we go to the store, with prayer? The places will be shaken!! The Holy Ghost doesn’t care who you are or what you’ve done. It’s the connection. Thank you God for the power of Your Spirit.

  26. “And now, Lord, observe their threats [take them into account] and grant that Your bond-servants may declare Your message [of salvation] with great confidence, while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders (attesting miracles) take place through the name [and the authority and power] of Your holy Servant and Son Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:29-31‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is power in prayer! Prayer gives courage, prayer gives strength, prayer gives peace, prayer gives joy. Prayer changes things. In the midst of what is going on pray about it don’t fight naturally fight in the spirit. God has your back but you have to be willing to allow him to fight with you. Regardless of what they may say continue to pray in Jesus name.

  27. I Love To. Worship The Lord
    Vs-12
Neither is there salvation in any. other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.
Here too NAME is used in the sense of the power or authority of Jesus Himself. Jesus is the only source of salvation the only one able to forgive sins and provide. new spiritual life.

  28. People don’t realize what Jesus is. They use him as an expression or a word but they do not see what the true power of Jesus Christ

  29. Acts 4:12,13 Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled ; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

I Timothy 2:5,6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I pray we all get that boldness to share the Gospel with the world! And they will know we have been with Jesus.

His desire is for everyone to have salvation.

  30. 6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

The boldness and courage with what Peter speaks can only be found through the Holy Ghost. This is the same Peter that takes his eyes off Jesus while walking on water, the same Peter that denies JESUS three times, the same Simon Peter that after Jesus death goes back to fish and Jesus find him half naked by the sea; it isn’t until after the ascension of Jesus and after the gift of the Holy Ghost that Peter begins to speak boldly without fear. It is first noticeable in Act 2 when Peter stands and boldly proclaims it Act 2: 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

    16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We also as followers of Jesus Christ and temples of the Holy Ghost posses the same boldness and courage. Let us stand proclaiming JESUS everywhere we go!!

  31. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    YOUR SEARCH IS OVER

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

My observation in 54 years of life is that people are prone to the path of least resistance until challenged to the path of greater return. Relating to the culture shock of the Grace of GOD through the death, burial and resurrection may seem to have been more than they could imagine in Jerusalem. But we witness here that now they even are challenged to accpt that this same JESUS grants miracles of healing on grown men.

Fast forward to the 21st century. Not much has really changed, people still do their own agenda, still seek their own good and still resist and challenge change. However, ONE absolute remains.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

    When I read:

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

    I remembered:

Matthew 11:2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

    YOUR SEARCH IS OVER

I Pray over the next 5 weeks that we will be as Peter was, in verse 8 filled with the Holy Ghost and that Prayer will be as it was in verse:

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Also that the Harvest will be as it was in verse:

Acts 4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

Lets GO and Serve JESUS, King of Kings and tell others YOUR SEARCH IS OVER.

  32. The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.
Acts of the Apostles 4:13 NLT

You dont need special traing or a high education to speak to others about the bible. All we need is the Holy Ghost and a willing heart. He can use anybody and make them sound educated and wise.

  33. 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

This was a miracle standing right in front of them. Miracles speak for themselves. New converts speak volumes of words when the transformation of their new life begins to take shape. No one can refute a miracle when they can see if with their own eyes. It is the best witness.

We must not be ashamed to go and speak, tell others about the miracles that we see. You may say we don’t see miracles – I beg to differ with you, every time a life is baptized in Jesus name or filled with His Spirit – we see the miracle of new birth, the greatest gifts given to mankind.

Don’t be afraid to talk to others about the new birth experience that we have been blessed to see over the last 3 years every week take place at POFW. When we talk about what God is doing, we are influencing people around us for the good.

Luke 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

  34. “While Peter and John were speaking to the people, they were confronted by the priests, the captain of the Temple guard, and some of the Sadducees. These leaders were very disturbed that Peter and John were teaching the people that through Jesus there is a resurrection of the dead. They arrested them and, since it was already evening, put them in jail until morning. But many of the people who heard their message believed it, so the number of men who believed now totaled about 5,000.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Despite the opposition coming against the gospel, the number of Christians kept increasing, growing to 5,000. Opposition did not slow the church down at all.
This is how I see our church growing, no matter our circumstances we are facing today, we continue to have baptisms in the powerful name of Jesus!

  35. 22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

  36. “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:29-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Lord, Do It Again!
I’ve seen You move, come move the mountains
And I believe, I’ll see You do it again
You made a way, where there was no way
And I believe, I’ll see You do it again.

  37. “After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Prayer changes things! Pray can bring clarity to misunderstand. Prayer can bring peace in the storm. Prayer can bring boldness in a time of weakness.

When you don’t know what else to do; pray.

  38. 30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Prayer can do so many miracles, it can make you strong in your troubled times, give you courage, give you faith. Prayer is a wonderful power the Lord gives you! With the Lord anything is possible. We need to start praying everyday spread his word everyday, show people that the Lord is our light and salvation. Pray and believe that the Lord can use you in many mighty ways!

  39. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

There is no other name but the name of Jesus for salvation and healing. One Lord and one way his name is Jesus

  40. Through Jesus the resurrection from the dead

Through Jesus I will testify boldly with power the WORD of God.
That when in the name of JESUS is spoken chains fall, fear is gone, lives changed!!
When we begin to surrender our hearts with stretched hands to heaven, hearts become healed/renewed and the old man put off as we fasten our eyes and heart on Jesus.
Transformation begins as the Holy Ghost shadows, the soul of the crying out asking for forgiveness.
As that certain person becomes one with God and realizes that Jesus died for them and now through Holy Ghost they now have great power to witness of the resurrection of Jesus and their jail cell swings open revival starts and great grace fills the air.

    Acts 4:13 KJV
[13] Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

    Acts 4:29 KJV
[29] And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

    Colossians 2:11-15 KJV
[11] In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: [12] Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; [14] Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

    Luke 15:4-7,18 KJV
[4] What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? [5] And when he hath found it , he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. [6] And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. [7] I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. [18] I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

  41. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
    Acts 4:31 KJV

    Praise the LORD!!!!
No reason why we should ever stay quiet. But the sad thing is that we do or have. God will put in situations to minister to the hurting, lost, and the sick.
‘We can not be shaken…we are strong, we are bold, through CHRIST we will take this city!’

  42. And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

There will come a day when we will he told that we can not speak the name of Jesus or preach on it. Will you stand with boldness or will you deny him

  43. Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

It’s always a joyous time at church when someone receives the Holy Ghost. Imagine thousands receiving it around the same time. I am sure we all remember how wonderful it was when we were filled with the Holy Spirit. This is what we want for everyone!

  44. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

One does not have to be well educated or elaborate in speech for God to speak through them by the Holy Ghost. God gives us the words he would have us speak when it is needed.

  45. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The blood of Jesus is the most powerful substance. It cannot be seen physically by us today but we know when it’s been applied to our lives. When we repent of our sins we turn away from the world. Then when we are baptized we are buried in his likeness. His name is applied in a seal by the receiving of the Holy Ghost. This access gives us freedom to approach the throne as his heirs and ambassadors to reach others. Their no other name more powerful to save and redeem a dying nation.

  46. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

A head corner stone had to be the most perfect stone they could find. It was on the first corner of the building. It is what you pull all your measurements off of. It is where you begin leveling ang plumbing up the building. If this stone is not right, everything will be off. But if you find the right one, it makes your job easy. You can lay brick upon brick upon brick and know that it’s going to be straight and true because you began right. This is what we have to build our lives on. Jesus Christ is our foundation, our beginning. He is what we measure up to and from. If we begin to build our lives with prayer standing strong on the word of God, everything else will fall into place for us.

iBuild a life upon my Rock Jesus

  47. “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”
    ‭‭
Happy 4th day of 40 days of the fire 🔥

  48. 1. And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple , and the Sadducees , came upon them, 2. Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

  49. “They couldn’t take their eyes off them—Peter and John standing there so confident, so sure of themselves! Their fascination deepened when they realized these two were laymen with no training in Scripture or formal education. They recognized them as companions of Jesus, but with the man right before them, seeing him standing there so upright—so healed!—what could they say against that?”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:13-14‬ ‭MSG

They had been with Jesus, they were naturally bold. When one is a servant of the all-powerful God, they have nothing to fear from the judgment of men.

  50. 32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

When church is together we become stronger and united as family and doing God will together.

  51. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
We need to have earth shaking prayer meetings and earth shaking prayer in our homes. Pray for our community and nation. Pray for a great revival and harvest

    • 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Boldness is a characteristic of the early church that we must have today. God didn’t call us to be afraid or timid about the things of the kingdom. We must be bold and strong.

  52. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

The difference is in the Name. I’m pretty sure other religions claim to have salvation. However the name of Jesus is the only one that has power. The name of Jesus is the only one that can heal, deliver and save. The name of Jesus brings miracles. The Holy Spirit is real and evident, but the work of false Gods are dead with the ones that made them. There is power in the name of Jesus.

  53. 2Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

People will not always agree with you and that’s ok. As long as you are following the will of God, he will take care of you. We must not be afraid to do what God has planned for us. Our duty is to spread the gospel telling everyone about what they must do to be saved.

  54. 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else,, for there is mother name under heaven, that has been given among people by which we must be saved[ for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].
    —- that is it.
In the name of Jesus, through him there is salvation.
You want to go to heaven? Ok, believe Jesus, be baptized and be filled with theHy Ghost.
There is no other way. If you reject this, then this person is automatically choosing his, her destination.
God is good. I thank Jesus that when I was lost in sin, without God in this world. He, in his goodness and mercy
    Brought me to him.

  55. But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

    • And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

  56. “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
This Scripture means that, Their is no other higher name than Jesus Only The Name Of Jesus can save us and let us be filled with The Holy Ghost that is how we are saved in Jesus Name

  57. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Peter and John are brave to stand up for what they believe… Jesus
    -Jacob’s

  58. 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

They told them to stop preaching the word of God but had no right to make them stop

  59. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
Our world is in need of our boldness to stand up and rise up and speak about Jesus. There’s so many that are in need of God. It only takes for us to be filled with the Holy Spirit and have the boldness to stand up and God will do the rest. We are the light that this world needs, let us shine brightly.

  60. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

The power of unity! When we as a church come together we shake the heavens and the earth. We must continue to pray together even if we’re not in one place we are in unity by his name! We have favor with God anywhere he sends us and why we must always speak of his greatness!

  61. “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Peter and John made it clear to all those who had listened to him that there is no other name like Jesus that can save them. Jesus is the way and life to his kingdom so we must be save in Jesus name.

  62. “And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:1-2, 4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we tell people about Jesus not everyone is going to like it. There will be people who will disagree or say things that are contrary just because of the message. Even though there will be those who resist or disagree, we have to get the message out. Jesus heals. Jesus saves. Jesus redeems!

  63. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

The request of the whole church is, that God protects them from evil, so that they can preach His word, with Authority, power, courage. If we ask Him, He will answer. We must Live JESUS Give JESUS

  64. 29 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

30 Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
    Acts 4:29‭-‬31 NIV

    https://bible.com/bible/111/act.4.29-31.NIV

Don’t be intimidated by anyone, don’t let anyone force you or make you feel like you have to do what they want you to do. Don’t let them stop you from what you want to do. Seek God for the right answers let him lead you Into the right path don’t let anyone
Intimidate you. Follow what He wants you to do let him come in you and use you in a powerful way.

  65. 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

I love this, for it shows that they still chose not to believe, even when they saw it with their own eyes, and heard it with their ears as Peter preached it to them. It reminds me that we may not not “get” it at first, but that we may need to hear it or read it more than once, and through the lord’s mercy and grace he continues to give us chances every moment to seek him, to find him and to follow him. The lord is coming and he is calling to all of us, it’s time we listen, we follow, and we lead lost sheep back to his flock. For there are many lost sheep both so few shepherds. God I hear your call, please use me to bring back the lost to your flock. I am yours lord. Blessed be your name, Jesus, Hallelujah.

  66. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

They wanted Peter and John not to talk about the things they had seen and heard because they were worried that more people would come to God, and receive this fire in their lives. They disapproved what they were saying but Peter and John spoke with boldness. This is the way we need to be when we witness to others some are going to disapprove but we need to keep talking about our Savior with boldness because we know what he brought us out of.

  67. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

So Glad I know that name.

  68. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

We read here in this chapter that Peter and John were ordinary, normal men. They didn’t stand out from the crowd. They were average and uneducated. But nowadays it seems that the more educated you are, the more effective you are for Jesus. But that’s not necessarily true. I believe that this verse is just a simple reminder that we must not put our trust in great and gifted academics and knowledge. It is not human qualities that guarantee success in the kingdom of God. But our trust in God the giver of gifts and life.

  69. “And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:7, 10, 12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The human mind often needs an explanation for everything in order to comprehend what is happening.

But when it comes to the miracles and the power of Jesus Christ, there is no other explanation other than; He is Jesus!

  70. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

  71. 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

  72. “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.””(‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

The word of God can’t lie for if this verse says that there is salvation in no one else. Then there’s no salvation in no false god.

  73. Although the people of that time the other so called ministry around them did not agree with the teachings they could not deny the truth or power of it that worked through each disciple. Through the ministry they were able to show kindness to even those who rebuked or disagreed and in doing so they may not have seem results immediately but to left a lasting impression upon all those around. This is the true idea behind friendliness, that we live it and show Christ through us.
